[Dr. Ronald Beesley] was honest from the start about egg reserve/ age. But compassionate and willing to try and help me achieve my goal...hanged my protocol to adapt to my needs..ovulating early he changed my protocol and medication after the first fail. Second fail attempt I had a dominent follicule and we decided to do a duostim which resulted in more eggs.
POMA worked well with me as an outside clinic and made it feasible for me to take as little time off as possible and make my appointments either locally (outside OBGYN) or at the clinic...Tiana and the other nurses were very responsive and compassionate to my experience.
How was your experience with Ronald Beesley at Poma Fertility?
He was honest and changed my protocol to adapt to my needs. Hopefully the next round is the successful one. I had a few zoom appointments to discuss options with Dr Beesley and he met with me in person to help me understand my odds and options.

I wish the clinic was closer to my home, but that’s an issue with no local fertility clinics. POMA worked well with me as an outside clinic and made it feasible for me to take as little time off as possible and make my appointments either locally (outside OBGYN) or at the clinic

In comparison to other Seattle based clinics POMA was the best price but overall the process is very expensive for self pay and Alaska offers no benefits

I had a lot of medical anxiety as i lost my right ovary to a torsion 9 years before I froze my eggs...I traveled from California to get treatment [with Dr. Opsahl] and would do it again and I next month for my embryo transfer...genuinely cares and is there for you throughout the whole process...I took fertility meds for stimulation to go through egg retrieval, 5 years later i started on meds to prepare my uterus for embryo transfer...
Constant email communication, [nurses at POMA Fertility] picked up my phone calls and called me back...You are not a number you are a person they care about you and how you do throughout the whole process they are there with you the whole way i traveled from NY and CA to get treatment that says it all.. i wouldn’t have it any other way. I didn’t want to be just a number...The staff was warm and very supportive. This clinic is incredible.

doctor [Dr. Michael Opsahl] didn't remember how my previous procedure went...seems him when he comes in to perform procedures, sounds like have been doing this for years, has consultation to go through the numbers after the procedure, just reading through reports, rinse and repeat...look at your own reports and remember what happened, he forgets the details
[Poma Fertility is] cheapest in the area, not the worst, does things according to guidelines, if you search for ivf procedures & medicine dose online, will get the same from from the clinic. located in kirkland, traffic is fine...did not adjust dose when they needed, told us wrong dates for appointments, didn't bill correctly. nurse mentioned they're swarmed with patients.

My estrogen plummeted right before our first egg retrieval and we had to cancel. For the next cycle Dr. O made sure to up my estrogen and have me on three patches which seemed to help a lot.

Everyone makes sure to make you feel welcome, and unafraid...[cost] 30K...Dr. O is personal. You see him every other appointment and he is great. Dr. O is our third RE and we are 100% happy with his care and staff. It is the only clinic I finally feel seen.
