Attention to Detail

Attention to detail is on a 1 - 10 scale, and is scored based on the rate, and severity, of errors committed by the clinic according to the patients.

For example, a severe error might be failing to inform a patient of critical information, while a small error might be failing to call a patient with results.

CDC Success Rates

This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.

For more information please see our FAQs.

Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.

[Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia] is awesome. The doctors and staff are all so kind and caring. I trust them completely with my care and I could not imagine going to another clinic. With them, you are not just a patient, you are family...very passionate and understanding. During my ultrasound, I was nervous but she made sure that I understood what she was doing, why she was doing it, and made me comfortable throughout the entire process.

Describe the protocols Christian Perez used in your cycles at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia and their degree of success.
I was afraid that because of my age, I would not be able to use my own eggs. I went into the process expecting to have to use a donor egg. However, Dr. Perez felt as if I should are least try to use my own eggs. He scheduled me for testing, i.e blood tests and ultrasounds. It turns out that my egg quality was good. However, to give me the best possible outcome, he put me on a regimine of vitamins, medicines that would further boosts my egg quality to give me the best possible chance of retrieving the best eggs.

We have officially had one consult with Dr. Perez but I frequently see him while I am at the clinic for appointments. He is very friendly and appears to recognize me and say hello, even if I am not scheduled to meet with him...As with any clinic, be prepared with questions and ideas on how you want to proceed. So far, Dr. Perez has been very open to discussing possible treatment plans and different options.
At Procreate, we have felt validated and heard...They have an informative nursing staff that is very responsive via the patient portal. The front office staff is professional and usually quick to respond. The billing department was more challenging to get ahold of but otherwise the staff and clinic, as a whole, are professional and informative.

During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Christian Perez at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia?
At Procreate, we have felt validated and heard. We’ve experienced a miscarriage (naturally conceived pregnancy) and poor retrieval results at this clinic, since starting with them in the fall of 2021. Both experiences were extremely upsetting but were met by compassion and a sense of understanding. We were given practical next steps and a plan for moving forward.
Describe the protocols Christian Perez used in your cycles at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia and their degree of success.
I used a Lupron-flair protocol for my last retrieval. He also had me use Omnitrope. I have had 5 egg retrievals (only one under his care) and I had mature follicles and was triggering by day 8, which is the earliest I have ever triggered. However, out of the 3 large follicles, they only retrieved one.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia. (Assigned nurse: Katherine Duey)
Kat is an incredible human. She is quick to respond, and if she is unavailable the rest of the team is there with a response. Kat shows compassion and acknowledges the struggles associated with infertility. She presents you with practical next steps and is willing to listen and validate your thoughts, feelings and ideas. I have dealt with several nurses within the infertility world, and I would say confidently that Kat is of the best.
Describe your experience with Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia.
Procreate is much quicker to respond than the other two clinics I have worked with in the Hampton Roads area. They have an informative nursing staff that is very responsive via the patient portal. The front office staff is professional and usually quick to respond. The billing department was more challenging to get ahold of but otherwise the staff and clinic, as a whole, are professional and informative.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Christian Perez at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia.
We paid a little over $19,00 to Procreate. This includes 1 egg retrieval and 2 transfers. Anesthesia for the egg retrieval was not included and it cost $500. We also had to pay for meds, which was around $5,000.
Describe Christian Perez's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia.
We haven’t reached this step yet with this clinic but given my age and low number of eggs retrieved, it will likely be recommended that I only do a single embryo transfer.

[Dr. Perez] just looked over my chart and what I had to say and said "pk, IUI would be the next step, we will be contacting you." That was the only time I ever spoke with him...Because we were paying for these out of pocket (roughly $2k a round) we decided we could not continue to put money into a procedure that clearly was not working. After our 2nd failed IUI, [a different physician] suggested we go back to my OB and see if I can have the surgery to be tested for endometriosis.
Overall this [Procreate Fertility Center] clinic lacks prompt communication. They tell you to communicate via portal, but then they take days to respond and their responses are super short. Often times I would have to message back to get a response to something or remind them that I was waiting...Each round of IUI was $1800. The supplements I was asked to purchase and take was roughly $300 for a 2 month supply and the trigger shots were $60 a piece.
How was your experience with Christian Perez at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia?
There isn't much I can say because I only spoke to him for 10 minutes during my initial consultation. I have never spoken to him since. he did not perform any of my in clinic visits or IUI's or ultrasounds, etc.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Christian Perez at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia?
Ask as many questions as you want and don't be afraid to say you don't understand.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Christian Perez at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia?
My initial consultation was via zoom and lasted maybe 10 minutes. He just looked over my chart and what I had to say and said "ok, IUI would be the next step, we will be contacting you." That was the only time I ever spoke with him. I have since only dealt with Kathryn in his office, and sometimes I have to beg to get a response back.
Describe the protocols Christian Perez used in your cycles at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia and their degree of success.
At the time of my consultation with Dr. Perez, we had what was called "unexplained, secondary infertility." Every test had pointed us in that direction so he agreed with my OBGYN that the next step would be IUI. He said that based on everything it should result in a pregnancy because we had no other indicators as to why we hadn't been able to get pregnant over the last 6 years. Kat ended up being our Dr. (she was not an option to choose when doing this review) We never saw or spoke to Dr. Perez after the initial consult. Kat agreed with the course of IUI and we went through 2 rounds with her, both failed. Because we were paying for these out of pocket (roughly $2k a round) we decided we could not continue to put money into a procedure that clearly was not working. After our 2nd failed IUI, Kat suggested we go back to my OB and see if I can have the surgery to be tested for endometriosis. I had no symptoms or signs that led to this but she said it couldn't hurt to check so we can mark that off of our list. I had my consult with my OBGYN and she agreed that it couldn't hurt and we proceeded with the surgery. It was then that she found 4 small spots of endometriosis and ablated them. I am grateful to Kat for pushing me towards that and we meet again next week to discuss next steps.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia.
I never got that true warm and fuzzy feeling with this clinic. But we also don't have many clinics near me, so I don't really have many options. Each time I was in it was just like another number being checked off to move onto the next patient.
Describe your experience with Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia.
Overall this clinic lacks prompt communication. They tell you to communicate via portal, but then they take days to respond and their responses are super short. Often times I would have to message back to get a response to something or remind them that I was waiting. I am grateful to Kat for getting me to the point where are now, I just wish they all had a little better bedside manner and better communication. Anyone that steps foot into that clinic is going through one of the most lonely, isolating and frustrating times in their lives, they need all the compassion and support they can get. And not feel like they are bother when they have to follow back up with them on something that was to already be provided. New patients-stay on top of them with your results.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Christian Perez at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia.
The initial consultation was $225, and after my first failed IUI, it was another $225 to consult again. They made sure to call me before my call to collect. Each round of IUI was $1800. The supplements I was asked to purchase and take was roughly $300 for a 2 month supply and the trigger shots were $60 a piece.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia.
It took me weeks to get them to send the cost breakdown for IVF. Several portal messages and calls (not returned). Additionally, when we had our 2nd IUI blood draw to see if ti was successful, they had me wait around all day and I had to call right before they closed just to get them to tell me that my IUI failed. On my first IUI, they loaded the results into portal (I did not understand them) and several hours later someone called me to tell me it failed. Just a very inconsiderate way of handling delivering bad news to a patient.

The entire time I was a patient at Procreate, I only saw Dr. Perez three times. Besides that, I was handed off to Kat, the NP. I felt very pushed off and it took me nearly having a ruptured ectopic pregnancy in order for him to be at one of my ultrasounds. I spent a year at this clinic, and got a giant run around about my care...I was only given gonal-f after femara did not work...often times I was forgotten about on serious matters regarding emergency surgery, or procedures being ran through insurance approval.
The nursing staff [at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia] was amazing. For every downfall of this clinic, the nursing staff is what makes this place brighter...Pre-auths forgotten to be submitted. Insurance billed for "endometriosis" however, was informed I do not have endo? Still do not have that answer. Broken analysis machine on IUI day could not tell sperm results. Changed PGT/ICSI policy from optional to mandatory (even without markers) without informing IVF clients of change resulting in stop of IVF services, and search for new clinic.

Be prepared for any clinic changes to not be provided to you, and that they will assume you will cover all additional costs, even if it was not discussed with you, or you were told conflicting information. And that you will have to advocate for yourself as insurance pre-authorizations are often late or never filed.

This clinic is amazing at making you feel at home. Until you have problems. I was brushed off and received a quick "sorry" after no one pre-authorized my IUI on two separate occasions. Had issues with clinic and submitting auths for medications as well. "Clinic Policy" also changed less than 30 days prior to IVF start date, and clients were not informed of this change that would have resulted in an additional 6k out of pocket.

Dr. Zaret was warm and welcoming from the first time I met her. She explained everything to me in great detail and helped me feel at ease. She is compassionate and caring. She offers her opinion and expertise in a perfect balance. ... My first IUI- Dr Z had me on letrozole which resulted in good follicle growth but no pregnancy. My second IUI Dr Z added a steroid and my results improved. No pregnancy. Our diagnosis is primarily MFI. After the second failed IUI Dr. Z put my husband on CoQ10 and Motility Support. We have seen improved numbers in his semen analysis after these supplements were added. We have a plan set for IVF when we can financially move forward.
The clinic [Procreate Fertility Ctr of VA] itself has been great. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They utilize the patient portal and are very responsive. They now have three locations. The head of the clinic and the secondary doctor have different approaches and bedside manner- both are extremely knowledgeable. Know that you can request the other doctor if you do not work well with one.

Before my first IUI we had travel planned. When I called to schedule, I asked if my travel would effect my IUI and was told no by the scheduler. When I got to the clinic for my baseline I asked a 2nd time this time to the nurse and was told my travel would not effect my IUI. The Dr did my baseline ultrasound and was going over my timeline and I asked her if my travel would effect my timeline and the Dr. was the first one to say yes. My cycle had to be cancelled. It was an unfortunate mistake and the clinic did credit me for the whole cycle and I was able to go the following month.

I have really enjoyed working with Dr. Perez. He is current with all the medical studies and treatments. He listens and always make sure we understood where we were coming from and where we were going next. He personally called me to discuss our day 3 embryo results and the next steps. And when our cycle failed he sat down with us and gave us plenty of time to discuss why it failed and what the plan was going forward. Most times he answered my questions before I could even ask them. I have never felt like I had a stupid question or felt belittled or that he didn't have time for me. I have always felt confident in his care.
The clinic [Procreate Fertility Center of VA] is small and has a lot of traffic as it shares the office space with an OB/GYN, which makes it feel very busy when you are there. They have very few staff which means several people carry multiple titles. But they all are very good at what they do, just make sure you are speaking to the correct person in regards to your question or problem or you won't get an answer or the correct answer. Don't hesitate to ask questions or keep asking until

I definitely felt like I have been treated individually. The office does get very busy and I frequently have to remind them of requests or questions but for the most part they are really good about knowing who I am and why I'm there. Dr. Perez and his team are very kind and friendly!
Describe the protocols Christian Perez used in your cycles at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia and their degree of success.
We came to Dr. Perez with the thought that we were dealing with a male factor infertility issue, which was correct. But being as thorough as he is, he had me go though a bunch of tests as well to rule out any female issues. After those were complete, he sat down with us and said that there were a couple options in varying degrees of intensity starting with IUI and moving up to IVF to deal with MFI. He felt an IUI would fit the bill for our needs based on the sperm numbers and that we had a pretty good chance it would work. He put both of us on over the counter vitamin supplements such as Coq10, multivitamins, and Vit D3. I did Letrozole and a HCG trigger shot as part of the IUI cycle. On the day of the IUI however, my husbands numbers were significantly lower than they had ever been. So much so that the subject of IVF with ICSI was raised. In the end the IUI didn't work, which wasn't much of a surprise. We then had a consult to discuss IVF with ICSI, which we all agreed was the logical next step. I was put on birth control for 1 month until I could get in with their next available cycle. My protocol was an antagonist protocol. I did stims for 8 days before triggering and had my retrieval on the 10th day. 16 eggs were collected, 14 of which were mature. Unfortunately my husbands sperm counts were even worse than before, which resulted in only 3 eggs fertilizing. Day 3, all 3 embryos looked great but by day 5 they had all arrested in development. So going forward they will be doing some hormone therapy with my husband using clomid and hcg and we will be doing another IVF cycle in a month.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia.
The nursing staff was very kind, compassionate, and easy to work with. I did feel quite a few times that they had a bit to much going on and it was frustrating to get the answers that I needed. Or that I got incomplete information and I had to make extra phone calls or send emails. They were good at responding the same day to emails though. Just be persistent and keep pushing and you will get through!
Describe your experience with Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia.
The clinic is small and has a lot of traffic as it shares the office space with an OB/GYN, which makes it feel very busy when you are there. They have very few staff which means several people carry multiple titles. But they all are very good at what they do, just make sure you are speaking to the correct person in regards to your question or problem or you won't get an answer or the correct answer. Don't hesitate to ask questions or keep asking until you get the answer you want or need. I really appreciated that all tests, procedures, and surgeries were done in the clinic and that I didn't have to go to a different location or deal with multiple doctors. Having a smaller staff number to deal with was more personal in many ways because you were always dealing with the same people and you recognized them.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Christian Perez at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia.
My husband has excellent insurance so everything was covered other than the co-pay. Everything was covered for our testing and all but $300 was covered for our IUI. We were quoted $1800/out of pocket for the entire IUI minus meds if our insurance wouldn't cover it. The lady that handles the insurance in the office is seriously skilled in insurance matters. She was on top of every little change and frequently called me with updates. She worked very hard to make sure our insurance covered as much as possible. Our IVF cycle was quoted to be around $16k just for the retrieval cycle with ICSI minus meds but we only had to pay the out of pocket and deductible totaling $4500. We did learn however, after our first cycle failed, that our insurance would not cover any of my husbands procedures or tests besides a Semen analysis. So we end we ended up paying roughly an additional $2000 for them to cryopreserve 3 semen samples, do additional blood work for him, and put him on medication to ensure our second IVF cycle didn't fail.
Describe Christian Perez's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia.
Dr. Perez highly prefers to only transfer 1 embryo at a time, especially when they are strong healthy embryos, to decrease the risk of multiples and the complications that come with it. He did say it was up to us in the end and he would work with us in this regard. I appreciated his straight forwardness and the educational aspect yet he gave us the ability to make the decision.

They forgot to call with my husbands Semen Analysis results which was frustrating but didn't delay or change anything at the time.

Dr. Perez offered an [Eset] opinion on the first transfer but he did not push us either way...takes his time when explaining everything to you...he made sure that me and my husband both understood everything and answered all of our questions...I would say that if you are sensitive than be prepared because he does not sugar coat anything...he was not shy to repeatedly bring up my age and my weight. I left in tears a few times. We had to postpone a transfer because I started my period out of the blue and he was very matter of fact about it- there was no comforting. With that said both me and my husband never felt as though we did not know what to expect or what was going on. He remembered conversations and concerns from previous appointments.
The office [Procreate Fertility Center of VIrginia] shares a space with another doctor's office so the lobby can appear busier than it really is. With that said I would say about half of my appointments were never on time. The up front staff is nice and when ever I have called for anything they have always gotten back to me quickly...11 eggs were retrieved and on the second go when I was not taken the metformin only 5 eggs were retrieved. I am not sure if that was the only cause. The first transfer was 2 embryos and neither took. The second transfer was only 1 embryo and embryo glue was used this time and that one did not take either.

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Christian Perez at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia?
To be prepared to hear the straight truth. He is going to tell you exactly how it is the good, the bad and the ugly.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Christian Perez at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia?
Dr. Perez takes his time when explaining everything to you. I never felt like he was in a hurry, he made sure that me and my husband both understood everything and answered all of our questions.
Describe the protocols Christian Perez used in your cycles at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia and their degree of success.
For the egg retrieval I am not sure of everything that was used but I remember that the first retrieval I used 500mg of Metformin and had no issues and the second retrieval that was changed to 1000mg of Metformin and I developed an allergy- I had hives and itched all the time. I went to my primary care doctor twice before the Metformin was found to be the cause- I had a meeting with Dr. Perez about stopping it and I was a little disappointed at how not a concern it was to just stop it even though it had been explained to me that it was important for egg quality. While on the 500 mg 11 eggs were retrieved and on the second go when I was not taken the metformin only 5 eggs were retrieved. I am not sure if that was the only cause. The first transfer was 2 embryos and neither took. The second transfer was only 1 embryo and embryo glue was used this time and that one did not take either.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia. (Assigned nurse: Kathryn Duey)
Kat was great- she was always very encouraging. She was very organized and went over my meds on every visit to make sure that we were right on track. She would comfort me and give me great pep talks when I wasn't sure that I could go on.

He [Dr. Perez] diagnosed me and put me into surgery within one week of my first visit. He knew exactly what my issue was and a course of treatment, after I had spent three years with someone else told I was "unexplained" and throwing me to the side. He was caring, and down to earth... I decided to do iui vs ivf that was suggested because I couldn't afford the latter. He gave me ovulation stimulation (I think menopur), trigger shot (novarel), and then progesterone shots after the iui itself.
They [Procreate] have been amazing...They are timely, accessible, knowledgeable, and offer new technology...They answered every single question, let me know all the risks, and kept me informed as well as checked on me...I left another clinic after being treated like a number, when I came to [Dr.] Perez, it was completely different. I was treated like an individual at all times

His partner at the clinic is Katherine Duey. I cannot say enough good things about her. She is kind and caring, listened to all of my irrational thoughts, helped me wipe my tears, but also told me the truth and didn't sugar coat. The nurse team was all kind and helpful.

Dr. Perez has an acccent so initially I was nervous that there would be things I wouldn’t understand about the process due to misunderstandings due to language, however, after our consultation with him those worries were put to bed because he makes sure you are understanding the process step by step.... He laid out our options and explained everything to us about IUI, IVF, and Reciprocal IVF. We selected reciprocal IVF using my wife’s eggs and my uterus and we are planning on doing the November cycle.
Communication is great with the clinic [Procreate Fertility Center of VA]. We primarily utilize the patient care portal to communicate between appointments and for the most part someone responds within 24 hours, even on the weekends. Communication is great too when it comes to billing. My insurance doesn’t cover very much on the testing due to me not meeting my deductible yet and they always make sure to call before the appointment so we don’t have any issues at the appointment with payment.
How was your experience with Christian Perez at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia?
Dr. Perez has an acccent so initially I was nervous that there would be things I wouldn’t understand about the process due to misunderstandings due to language, however, after our consultation with him those worries were put to bed because he makes sure you are understanding the process step by step. He also utilizes pictures (both on the computer and hand drawn) to make sure everyone is on the same page. I really appreciate the patience he has as my wife and I had a million questions about the procedure. He laid out our options and explained everything to us about IUI, IVF, and Reciprocal IVF. We selected reciprocal IVF using my wife’s eggs and my uterus and we are planning on doing the November cycle.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Christian Perez at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia?
If you have questions, don’t hesitate to ask. He will answer them no matter how “silly” you think they may be. He also likes to jump right in the testing process. We went to the consultation and the very same day I had my ultrasound and blood work.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Christian Perez at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia?
Every time my wife and I go to the office they treat us as if we are their family. We started this process in August to go through all our testing and every time we have been to the office since then they remember details about us that we wouldn’t have expected them to remember. Dr. Perez is very patient and understanding in making sure you completely understand the process. And Katherine Duey (a Nurse Practicianer at Procreate) remembers even the tiniest of details from previous conversations. They truly do seem invested in our progress like they are our own little cheering squad!
Describe the protocols Christian Perez used in your cycles at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia and their degree of success.
We have completed the testing phase of the process and we are about to enter the protocol phase. We are currently waiting on my wife to start her period so she can begin the birth control. Once we report her period to the office, they will give us the rest of the information about when we need to do what. As far as vitamins so far, they have me taking Ovasitol (2x a day), 4000 mg of vitamin D, prenatal vitamin, and birth control. My wife is taking Ovasitol (once a day), CoQ10 ( I don’t remember the mg).
Describe your experience with your nurse at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia. (Assigned nurse: Katherine Duey)
Katherine is simply amazing. She remembers just about every conversation we have ever had and is very helpful with even the “silly” questions with great compassion. She is very good at putting you at ease even in the most uncomfortable situations (definitely taking about the ultrasound wand while looking at a polyp—which sounds terrifying, but isn’t).
Describe your experience with Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia.
Communication is great with the clinic. It takes a little bit of the stress out. As far as weaknesses, I’m not sure if it was my inability to listen/remember, but I didn’t know that they were going to call in the RX for the birth control the day of our last appointment. I thought I had to call the day of my period and they would call it in that day. It would have saved a little stress and worry if I had clarified this prior to leaving the office that day. However I think this is my weakness as much as theirs. If you don’t fully know something, make sure you clarify to be sure.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Christian Perez at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia.
Our initial consultation with Dr. Perez was free due to winning a drawing from a pride festival in our area. For my wife’s testing, it was $50/appointment due to her insurance covering the fertility testing minus the “specialist” copay. My insurance covered very little due to me not meeting my deductible so my fees were as follows: Ultrasound: $140 HSG: $329.29 Sono: $352.69 I’m not sure about how much the blood work costs due to lab corp citing the reasoning for the blood work incorrectly so my insurance declined it. I am currently in the process of trying to get this resolved
Describe Christian Perez's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia.
From the conversations we have had with Dr. Perez, he as left it up to us as to how many embryos we will transfer. It is our plan to transfer 2 embreyos, which is basically what we told him at our consultation.

Throughout my treatment I only saw Dr. Perez two times, initial consult and a random follicle check ultrasound. He was blunt with his information, which is okay....There was never a plan put in place, it was just do this and then we’ll discuss, but the discussion was never had...Saw a different provider each visit and no one ever knew the plan...The providers were content to continue trying the same medications/strategies we’d tried in the past with no success.

We did a medicated cycle with injections for IUI. It was successful, though I had to significantly advocate for myself. The providers were content to continue trying the same medications/strategies we’d tried in the past with no success.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia.
Nurses put in medications and more than once “forgot” to send a medication in to the pharmacy. Nurse provided the time for me to trigger. Upon further questioning, it was the wrong time (60 not 36 hours prior to IUI). The nurse doubled down and told me I ruined my cycle because I didn’t trigger when she told me to. When I was able to talk to the NP, the NP stated that the nurse was wrong and I was correct to not trigger.

[Dr. Perez] spoke to us like a he was a friend. Professional and great bedside manner. He explained everything with pictures and wrote everything out for us in a way we could understand! He even color coded there good and true bad and what we needed to fix to get pregnant!... It was a quick process from when I set my first appointment to putting a plan together, about a week. I really appreciated that he knew the urgency in us starting a family and did not waste our time.
Everyone, even the front office [Procreate Fertility] is nice! It’s a scary time in our family’s life and they do help make it better. I will say that all payments are upfront. We had to pay $2100 up front for our first IUI cycle. It was expected but would have loved to be able to break that number up in payments....So far we have spent $3500 with consultation, work ups, and our first IUI cycle... We found out I had PCOS, a small uterus, male factor motility, and a vitamin D deficiency.

He thoroughly explains all angles every time. In addition, he isn’t taking failure as an option. He is always willing to work with us and help us get the cycle done. Dr. Perez is genuinely rooting for us and has helped diagnose many issues in my fertility journey.... First cycle - menopur, gonal F, estrogen and trigger shot. Take COQ10, metformin (for PCOS), thyroid medication, baby aspirin and prenatal vitamins. Invocell capsule used and 8 embryos went into arrest and did not make it to “day5 embryos.” Second cycle - same regimine. Freeze all delayed FET transfer. 3 embryos and 2 FETs.
Their Strengths are their genuine advise and demeanor, their personalbility, they [Procreate Fertility] are always helpful when I am confused of have a million questions and understanding of what the patients are going through and the stress they are dealing with. Weaknesses - I wish I had my baby by now. I hate being told I am “an easy case,” but going into our 3rd cycle.... I LOVE the nursing staff; however, at times it feels like they do not have enough nursing staff to support

Dr. Perez is very straight forward and informative. He is to the point and does not sugar coat anything. I left feeling very informed and that I understood my options moving forward. My husband and I were very appreciative of this frankness but not everyone would....Don't be afraid to ask questions, he will spend as much time as you need answering questions You can always call back with more questions.... The nursing staff was extremely warm and friendly. The nurse practitioner talked me through my hsg test and made sure I stayed as relaxed as I could. She let me know everything that was going on step by step
The entire clinic staff [Procreate Fertility] was friendly. Everyone i spoke to was helpful and worked with me to figure out my insurance and questions I had about testing. My insurance is confusing for most doctors but the staff took the time to figure it out and is the only practice I have dealt with who was so willing to work with me on it.... I had one claim declined and the staff is working with me to fight that and get the claim accepted....The nurse practitioner talked me through my hsg test and made sure I stayed as relaxed as I could. Dr. Perez was very thorough in the initial consultation and explained to us both what to expect at our next several appointments. He used drawings and diagrams to help us further understand and had answers to our questions...One round of IUI for MFI with femara and trigger shot. 3 follicles were present at time of IUI. Negative cycle.
I have nothing but good things to say about [Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia]. I like that it’s a smaller facility so I don’t just feel like another number when I walk in. I’ve never had to wait long to be seen, and the front desk is always prompt to return calls and answer questions...Between the consultation, testing for my husband and I, and the IUI procedure- costs incurred to date $5000..The nurses always are very kind and thorough, answering all my questions that they can

Dr. Bocca is sensitive, knowledge, and kind. I have done all the diagnostic testing and scans. Beforehand Dr. Bocca explained each procedure and its purpose. She has excellent bedside manner and doesn’t make me feel uncomfortable. Her initial recommendation was IUI but was ok with us trying at home insemination first with monitoring and medication...I was encouraged to increase my metformin, in hopes that it would regulate my cycle and help with weight loss. I was given a thyroid medication to minimize the effects of hypothyroidism. It was also recommended that I take a prenatal vitamin, vitamin d, and ovasital to promote overall uterine health
The lab [at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia] was a little cold. They attempted to get more information regarding my donor when I was on the IUI track. It was via email and I just didn’t like it. Everyone else have been nice, the above statement doesn’t include the phlebotomist. They were exceptional...The nursing staff greats me with a smile, provides useful information, very accommodating and available.

Describe the protocols Silvina Bocca used in your cycles at Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia and their degree of success.
I was encouraged to increase my metformin, in hopes that it would regulate my cycle and help with weight loss. I was given a thyroid medication to minimize the effects of hypothyroidism. It was also recommended that I take a prenatal vitamin, vitamin d, and ovasital to promote overall uterine health. In addition to a normal ultrasound, I had one with saline and one with dye. Both to get a better picture of what the inside of my uterus looks like. To which they found polyp tissue all throughout. I had a hysteroscopy biopsy, which all the tissue was non cancerous. Now I will complete a femara cycle which has been thoroughly explained.
