This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.
For more information please see our FAQs.
Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.

How was your experience with Zaher Merhi at Rejuvenating Fertility Center?
Like I said before, he's a great talker and at first you will think he will be a great advocate for you. He is very jovial and tends to over promise.
After my 3rd failed transfer he had me come in for a procedure. I have an extremely tilted uterus that makes many procedures difficult. He knew this and had commented on it several times. I came in for the procedure at noon and after 30 mins and me being in extreme pain he stopped and said we should have done it under anesthesia, then asked if I could go upstairs and be sedated. I said I had just eaten so he said I would have to wait another month and come back. Just awful.
He also had a very tense and unprofessional exchange with another doctor on the day of my second retrieval. That Dr left the practice after that. It was strange.
Any time anything went wrong -- which was often -- it was always the fault of the other Dr. or nurse or office staff. And the Dr. I seemed to be passed to without my consent, for monitoring and questions and case management messed up BIG and frequently. For example, they froze a sample of my husband's semen that had zero moving sperm. So when they thawed to use after my retrieval it was useless. My poor husband had to leave work and run uptown to provide a fresh sample. Dr. Merhi passed it off like it wasn't his mistake and not to be upset with him, but the office staff/other Dr. He isn't very professional and the buck never seems to stop with him.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Zaher Merhi at Rejuvenating Fertility Center?
I would highly advise to seek out other care. Their lab is very clearly not up to snuff. I recently went back to look at clinic stats even though we are no longer patients. In the year 2021, they started over 1200 cycles and had 11 live births. I was two of those cycles and while I thought we were giving it all our best effort, that he was on the team to give us our best shot, in truth we didn't stand a chance.
Don't fall for the smiles and early attention. They both go and he is inundated with patients. I'm sure he cares deep down, but he has no time.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Zaher Merhi at Rejuvenating Fertility Center?
At first things were great. Dr. Merhi spent so much time with us in our consult. He spent time with me in appointments and called us multiple times to share information. He had recently opened the office and things seemed manageable. Over the course of the year and multiple cycles, things changed drastically. I never saw him, ever. He was impossible to get a hold of. When I managed to get face time he made so many mistaken comments it was clear he thought he was talking to another patient. He opened several new locations and it got so bad. Then I found myself at the machine-like practice I was avoiding intentionally. I didn't want NYU or Weill, I wanted a smaller practice and he assured me that I would get personalized care. That did not turn out to be the case. The office/billing is also horrible and made so many mistakes. I have gotten someone else's bill twice, both showing a lack of organization and a violation of HIPPA, I saw these women's diagnosis (along with the full name, birthday and STD for one). They could not handle the rate that they expanded at all.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Rejuvenating Fertility Center.
There was a revolving door of nurses, medical assistants and pas etc. It was constantly changing. They often called with the wrong information. One would tell me one thing then another would say something else.
They were nice enough but incredibly disorganized. From previous cycles I knew to go in the morning before my trigger shot (like literally how they get the info of if I'm able). The day before the nurse told me I didn't need to come in. I insisted and then when I got a call later in the afternoon I was told "no one here would ever say that". I came in the next morning for my blood draw and the front desk person said I didn't need to be there, that I wasn't down for monitoring that day. Again, I insisted and after I explained, she said something like "you should definitely be here and it should be in your chart but it's not."
And there were many of these types of issues. Times I wouldn't be called with the next days instructions or dosages etc. Making me call the answering service to get notifications. One day I just walked in to get my instructions because I was close by and they hadn't called but were about to leave for the day.
I'm sure they would have been better if they hadn't had so much change over. They also moved locations since their first space flooded and they had to work out of another office. Then the new office opened a year later and it was a disaster.
Describe your experience with Rejuvenating Fertility Center.
There was so much disorganization. Wrong information sent, follow ups dropped, critical information not shared. They had a flood in their office the day before my retrieval so we had to do the retrieval at another space. Even though I had been fully paid upfront, they tried to charge me the price difference for the new clinic. I agreed on the phone because I didn't want them to cancel my cycle the day before the retrieval but I fought it after the fact. They backed down and I paid my originally quoted price, but it was stressful and unnecessary.
While they were working out of the other space they never seemed to know if we should pay them or Sher for services like semen analysis etc. We got double billed regularly then the bill would get fixed.
My first two cycles were covered by insurance for office visits, they said it was the same for my third. They said they called and checked, I believed them because my plan nor provider changed. A few months ago I got a bill saying I owed them almost $2000 for office visits they said were covered two years ago. I no longer have that insurance and it's now a nightmare trying to deal with it. Why are they so behind on billing that it took over two years to realize?
If you decide to go with this clinic, record every phone call and get everything written and confirmed via email so you have a record when they mess up or tell you that no one in their practice would say x.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Rejuvenating Fertility Center.
Monitoring usually went pretty smoothly. I got good at navigating around the busier hours. Sometimes I had to wait 20-30 min but usually less. Compared to other offices, I will say, at the time the Manhattan office handled monitoring quite well. It was after the visit and getting timely calls that was the problem.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Rejuvenating Fertility Center.
The list of things over the course of 3 cycles is too long to recount. It started with being told to start my meds on a specific day then my meds not being called into the pharmacy. I then got an "it's okay, just start a day later, it isn't a big deal" message. This process is so stressful and days and dosages can make a huge difference.
They sent me test results and bills for other patients (obviously a huge issue that eroded my trust). This happened more than once.
Some other specific instances were listed elsewhere in the review but it all added up. I felt stuck and even through all the red flags trusted Dr. Merhi and excused issues due to their extreme circumstances of their office flooding and having to move. Then opening all the additional offices. There was a massive difference between my first cycle and my third transfer. They made small mistakes as well as some really big ones, like freezing a bad semen sample and having to stop a procedure due to the extreme pain it caused me knowing we should have used anesthesia to begin with.
[Dr. Zaher Merhi] has been our biggest cheerleader...without being bullied into weight loss or donor conception... incredibly busy doctor, which means he can only visit each of his clinics once or twice per week...decided to pursue this experimental treatment...
all of the staff at RFC Manhattan made us feel welcomed, invited, and supported...knew us by name, remembered our preferences, and were genuinely invested in the outcome of our treatments...Communication is reciprocated, and the respect is mutual...peaceful waiting room (with calm music), lovely & supportive staff, easily accessible location, convenient monitoring hours, and quick results
How was your experience with Zaher Merhi at Rejuvenating Fertility Center?
After consulting with Dr. Merhi, learning more about Ovarian PRP, Gentle IVF, & being treated with so much kindness by him and his staff, we decided to transfer our care from Texas to NYC to work with Dr. Merhi specifically. He has been instrumental in helping us overcome our age-related egg quality issues & severe sperm deficiencies. He has tailored every IVF cycle to our individual needs, carefully adjusting protocols for each round. He has been our biggest cheerleader through this arduous journey! As a plus-sized woman in her early 40s, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to try different therapies, to attempt fresh embryo transfers, & to give our genetics a chance without being bullied into weight loss or donor conception. Dr. Merhi & his team have treated us with the utmost compassion & respect. Most of all, they have given us something invaluable: hope! The only downside to working with Dr. Merhi is that he is an incredibly busy doctor, which means he can only visit each of his clinics once or twice per week. This isn't a problem, because he makes himself available through the portal & his team is very responsive. We just wish we could clone him so that every clinic could have a Dr. Merhi!
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Zaher Merhi at Rejuvenating Fertility Center?
I would advise all of Dr. Merhi's patients to be patient, to educate themselves before their first consults, and to be prepared with questions for every appointment with Dr. Merhi. More importantly, I would advise patients to schedule consults with Dr. Merhi for every step of the journey. Too many patients incorrectly assume that an initial consultation is enough face-to-face time with their provider, but that isn't so. His time is valuable, and his expertise is precious. Use your time and his time wisely by scheduling consultations alongside every step of your cycle to ensure you are getting what you need, learning from a true expert, and understanding your treatment plan.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Zaher Merhi at Rejuvenating Fertility Center?
Dr. Merhi and all of the staff at RFC Manhattan made us feel welcomed, invited, and supported. They knew us by name, remembered our preferences, and were genuinely invested in the outcome of our treatments. We were never rushed to decisions we weren't comfortable with, and we were given many opportunities to ask whatever questions we needed before moving forward. It was a refreshing difference in treatment than what we had originally experienced at a different clinic in our home state.
Describe the protocols Zaher Merhi used in your cycles at Rejuvenating Fertility Center and their degree of success.
We came to Dr. Merhi to learn more about Ovarian PRP. After our initial consult with him, we not only decided to pursue this experimental treatment but also decided to pursue IVF treatment under his care. His approach to a gentler ovarian stimulation protocol proved beneficial to our outcomes as well as our wallets. (Less stimulation medications equals lower cost of treatment!) When it was time to pursue embryo transfers, Dr. Merhi allowed us to try fresh embryo transfers of day 3, cleavage stage embryos because our embryos weren't surviving in the lab. He thought that perhaps our embryos would perform better in my uterus than a petri dish, and he was correct, because for the first time in 11 years of trying, we got pregnant after a fresh embryo transfer. Because he cares little about pointless success rates, Dr. Merhi allows patients the option of TRULY individualized care. For these reasons, he offers options like fresh embryo transfers (even though the transfer of PGT blastocysts have higher success rates. For these reasons, he offers gentler stimulation protocols, even though pumping up women with tons of stimulation medications will likely result in many more eggs retrieved. But this is what drew us to Dr. Merhi in the first place. He is genuinely interested in solving the puzzle that each patient represents, providing truly individualized care.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Rejuvenating Fertility Center. (Assigned nurse: Red Team (Manhattan office))
The nurses and staff at RFC Manhattan have all been so helpful, compassionate, and patient with us during our multiple treatments. Communication is reciprocated, and the respect is mutual. Infertility treatments are emotional and physically draining. It has been such a breath of fresh air to work with nurses and staff that are actually happy to see you. (Mina is the sweetest, most encouraging person when you are in the most vulnerable position imaginable!)
Describe your experience with Rejuvenating Fertility Center.
RFC Manhattan's strengths include a peaceful waiting room (with calm music), lovely & supportive staff, easily accessible location, convenient monitoring hours, and quick results. One weakness that patients should be aware of is the slower pace at which the billing department will handle things. But as long as you, the patient, are diligent about following up on bills, payments, and receipts, all will go smoothly. (This is not a poor reflection on RFC or their billing department but rather the reality of American healthcare.) Which brings me to my next point: double check everything! This is not a poor reflection of Dr. Merhi or his busy clinic. This is just the reality of health care in the United States at every clinic I have ever worked with. These doctors work so hard, see so many patients, and the nurse team has to remain on top of so many different things. It is up to us patients to double and triple confirm instructions, protocols, and procedures, to ensure we are receiving the appropriate information.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Zaher Merhi at Rejuvenating Fertility Center.
At the time of our treatments, we were incredibly fortunate to have generous insurance coverage under two different employers. Nearly all of our treatment costs were fully covered by our insurance policies when RFC was still considered in-network. We did pay out of pocket for add-ons that weren't billable to insurance, such as Ovarian PRP, Uterine PRP, and intralipid infusions. Because the RFC clinic and lab were both in-network for our insurance during our treatments, it ended up being more affordable for us to fly regularly to New York to obtain this care than to obtain it in our home town of Austin, Texas.
Describe Zaher Merhi's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Rejuvenating Fertility Center.
As I stated before, Dr. Merhi offers patients the options that are specific to their individual cases. He allows patients to transfer 1 PGT blastocyst at a time, but also the option of transferring multiple day 3 embryos for patients who struggle to make blastocysts at all. We have learned that having options can really help outcomes. This is the true definition of individualized care!

No follow up...During the transfer Dr. kept saying “I want you to say I’m the best!” It was very uncomfortable...said that he was going to do HCG wash but I found out that he forgot about it. It had to be done before the transfer...Uterus PRP: not successful, very expensive. HCG wash; Dr. Merhi forgot to do it. Endo scratch: not successful
But the organization [Rejuvenating Fertility Center] is dysfunctional. When I go to the clinic I actually feel bad atmosphere. I felt the employees working at the clinic are not very happy...I did 3 FET with him after 5 failed cycle with another doctor. He thought if I do hysteroscopy to remove scar tissue I would get pregnant easy and he also suggested me to do Uterine PRP. PRP is pretty expensive. It was $1750. The office booked me way too early for the procedure and I had to wait for 1and half hours. The first FET with Dr. Merhi didn’t work. I got the result from a nurse. No follow up for any doctors. I had to call many times to make a phone consultation appointment. Finally he called me and what he said was the embryos I sent from previous clinic could be all bad without any scientific evidence. The second FET, one of the nurse rescheduled the time of the transfer on the day of the transfer. But i found out from another nurse that the time was not supposed to be rescheduled. My transfer was done 2 and half hers later than expected. During the transfer Dr. kept saying “I want you to say I’m the best!” It was very uncomfortable. The result was negative. I did an ERA test and found out that the transfer should be done at 121 hrs ±3 from starting Progesterone. At the third transfer, a nurse told me start progesterone about 135 hrs before the transfer. I asked her double check the time with one of the doctor. She corrected the timing but it was still more than 125 hrs before the transfer. On the day of the transfer, the recovery nurse was extremely rude. She didn’t even call my name, no explanation of the procedure. She threw gown and socks on the chair. She talked me without looking at me. Dr. Merhi said that he was going to do HCG wash but I found out that he forgot about it. It had to be done before the transfer. I tried not to be but I was sad and mad on the transfer day. The result was negative. One of the doctor called me and said sorry about the negative result and that was it. No follow up from Dr. Merhi. He seems a nice person at the begging but I think he is a businessman not a doctor.

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Zaher Merhi at Rejuvenating Fertility Center?
Don’t go for him. Read all available review and think twice. That would save you time, energy and money. Fertility treatment is very stressful itself you don’t want to extra stress from the clinic and the doctor.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Zaher Merhi at Rejuvenating Fertility Center?
Even after a failed transfer, he didn’t call me. No follow up. He doesn’t care if his patients get pregnant or not.
Describe the protocols Zaher Merhi used in your cycles at Rejuvenating Fertility Center and their degree of success.
Uterus PRP: not successful, very expensive.
HCG wash; Dr. Merhi forgot to do it.
Endo scratch: not successful
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Rejuvenating Fertility Center.
There were a few good nurses in the clinic.
But many nurses in the clinic are not organized. I had to ask questions to them during morning monitoring but reply never comes back. Many of them tapped my arm AFTER wiping alcohol when they drew blood. Their scheduling was very messy. Waiting was sometimes very long.
Describe your experience with Rejuvenating Fertility Center.
They don’t have age not weight limit. That’s why the clinic has so many patients and they are expanding their business. But the organization is dysfunctional and most importantly Dr. Merhi is not trustworthy. When I go to the clinic I actually feel bad atmosphere. I felt the employees working at the clinic are not very happy.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Zaher Merhi at Rejuvenating Fertility Center.
My insurance covered most of the cost. But PRP was too expensive.

The clinic is Rejuvenating Fertility Center in NY.
Dr Merhi is an out-of-the-box thinker...is very interested in trying the latest and greatest approach to help all his patients get pregnant....used to difficult cases...he will always stay optimistic...bedside manner, encouragement, and being willing to try everything and anything...did gentle IVF due to my DOR

How was your experience with Zaher Merhi at Rejuvenating Fertility Center?
Dr Merhi is an out-of-the-box thinker. He is very interested in trying the latest and greatest approach to help all his patients get pregnant. He is very much used to difficult cases. Even with the difficult cases, he will always stay optimistic. He is a great doctor to have as far as bedside manner, encouragement, and being willing to try everything and anything.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Zaher Merhi at Rejuvenating Fertility Center?
Ask many questions and be willing to try new methods. He is certainly not your cookie-cutter fertility doctor. Because he has many offices, unfortunately, you do have to stay on top of your treatment and not expect the doctor to remember every detail of your case.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Zaher Merhi at Rejuvenating Fertility Center?
Dr Merhi takes a very personal approach to treatment and always wants to get to know his patients, he loves to chat with every patient and is a great cheerleader in this very difficult journey. His office staff sometimes has to remind him to reduce his time with each patient because he gets excited and can go on and on about everything fertility
Describe the protocols Zaher Merhi used in your cycles at Rejuvenating Fertility Center and their degree of success.
Always did gentle IVF due to my DOR. He never canceled a cycle, instead, he would modify medications or even remove medications and wait for the body to catch up. That is how we got 3 eggs, when no other doctors were able to get any. He believes less is more. Some cycles I was only on Clomid, while other cycles only menopur. Also used Letrozole and dexamethasone on most cycles as well
Describe your experience with your nurse at Rejuvenating Fertility Center.
The nursing staff is very competent. Their system is evolving as they are trying to have a dedicated nurse team for every patient. But that does not mean you always get to talk to the same person. It is very difficult to get them on the phone, but they are prompt with emails
Describe your experience with Rejuvenating Fertility Center.
Dr Merhi is the biggest strength of this clinic. The offices are beautiful and inviting and have a spa feel.
The weakness comes in the billing department, no clarity and is very disorganized. I believe they recently changed billing companies in order to improve this because I know this is something that Dr Merhi is very concerned with, as he should be, because if it was not for him I would have left this clinic a long time ago due to their billing department
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Rejuvenating Fertility Center.
I did mostly outside monitoring since I live in a different state. But when I did come to the office for monitoring, it went smoothly and quickly
Describe the costs associated with your care under Zaher Merhi at Rejuvenating Fertility Center.
I have insurance which covers 80%, however, there is a $50 per outside monitoring appt. So overall a cycle might cost me $1,000-$2,000 including medication and copays
Describe Zaher Merhi's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Rejuvenating Fertility Center.
He is open to both. He did not recommend more than 3 embryos at a time and showed us the national guidelines to support his view
What specific things went wrong at Rejuvenating Fertility Center?

Pre-determinations were not sent on time in order to have them ready with retrievals were scheduled which caused chaos on the day of retrieval. Billing invoices are not always clear. Incorrect pre determinations have been submitted
I went to Dr. Merhi for egg retrieval for egg freezing, not trying to conceive...felt very informed every step of the way...We used clomid, gonal F and letrozole...had a high egg count so the team monitored me very closely to make sure I was responding as they hoped
I felt very taken care of at Rejuvenating Fertility Center. All the staff were warm and welcoming to me from the moment I stepped in the clinic...decor looks like a spa and has very welcoming, peaceful and calming energy...Jessica Haroun was managing my case, but I worked with several other nurses and care coordinators that took excellent care of me

When I went in for monitoring appointments, I received very clear instructions and an understanding of Dr. Merhi's recommendations within a matter of hours. I knew Dr. Merhi was following my case every step of the way.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Zaher Merhi at Rejuvenating Fertility Center?
I would advise prospective patients to ask all the questions that they have. This was my first time undergoing fertility treatments so I was new to the process and had lots of questions. I felt safe to ask whatever I needed and had access to the team every step of the way.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Zaher Merhi at Rejuvenating Fertility Center?
I felt very taken care of at Rejuvenating Fertility Center. All the staff were warm and welcoming to me from the moment I stepped in the clinic. I received regular calls and check-ins and I felt I had access to the team for any questions throughout the entire process.
Describe the protocols Zaher Merhi used in your cycles at Rejuvenating Fertility Center and their degree of success.
I went to Dr. Merhi for egg retrieval for egg freezing, not trying to conceive. The goal of my treatment was to get as many mature eggs as possible, so that I could use them in the future if I want to get pregnant. We used clomid, gonal F and letrozole. I'm young and had a high egg count so the team monitored me very closely to make sure I was responding as they hoped without getting ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Rejuvenating Fertility Center. (Assigned nurse: Jessica Haroun)
I can't speak more highly about the team I worked with at RFC. Jessica Haroun was managing my case, but I worked with several other nurses and care coordinators that took excellent care of me. Everyone was friendly, compassionate, accessible and checked-in on my constantly. I felt so supported and well-informed throughout the entire process.
Describe your experience with Rejuvenating Fertility Center.
The clinic is beautiful. The decor looks like a spa and has very welcoming, peaceful and calming energy. Fertility treatment can be very stressful for patients and I felt the atmosphere of the clinic created a safe environment. From the moment I stepped in, the front desk team welcomed me.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Zaher Merhi at Rejuvenating Fertility Center.
The costs were very minimal. I was very fortunate to have full coverage through my employer for both the medications and the procedures, and have met my out of pocket maximum. I'm still waiting to confirm if I need to pay anything for anesthesia, but I think I paid less than $100 total for medications.
Describe Zaher Merhi's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Rejuvenating Fertility Center.
Dr. Merhi is kind informative and optimistic...always made you feel comfortable and always informed...great bedside manner and the procedures were painless...never felt rushed in my visits and he offered time to answer all my questions...my eggs will be meeting with the donor sperm soon.
[Rejuvenating Fertility Center] is very inviting meaning there is soothing music, warm lighting no loud noises, snacks and drinks...nursing staff were always kind and sensitive...billing department should send reminder bills and emails for storage...Monitoring occurred on the early morning

Dr. Merhi is kind informative and optimistic. I never felt discouraged and he is always cheering you on. Dr Merhi’s had great bedside manner and the procedures were painless. I never felt rushed in my visits and he offered time to answer all my questions.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Zaher Merhi at Rejuvenating Fertility Center?
The name says it all. RFC is not your typical clinic they actually listen to you and are caring.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Zaher Merhi at Rejuvenating Fertility Center?
I have been to many clinics but Dr Merhi and his team always made you feel comfortable and always informed. They think outside the box and your care is individualized and he also works with my OBGYN.
Describe the protocols Zaher Merhi used in your cycles at Rejuvenating Fertility Center and their degree of success.
Dr Merhi technique is quality over quantity. We did PRP which resulted in my egg retrieval. The preparation leading towards the egg retrieval consisted of birth control pills. No injections except for the trigger which was stress free.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Rejuvenating Fertility Center.
The nursing staff were always kind and sensitive. The only thing I would recommend is for the nursing team to have the patients purchase all the medications that are needed. I had to pay out of pocket for my trigger shot when my insurance would have covered but I had to use an outside pharmacy which was costly. The billing department should send reminder bills and emails for storage.
Describe your experience with Rejuvenating Fertility Center.

Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Rejuvenating Fertility Center.
Monitoring occurred on the early morning which wasn’t an issue for me
Describe the costs associated with your care under Zaher Merhi at Rejuvenating Fertility Center.
PRP~$2500 out of pocket; $1200/yr egg storage; other items I am not sure of
Describe Zaher Merhi's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Rejuvenating Fertility Center.
I am not there yet as my eggs will be meeting with the donor sperm soon.
