Attention to Detail

Attention to detail is on a 1 - 10 scale, and is scored based on the rate, and severity, of errors committed by the clinic according to the patients.

For example, a severe error might be failing to inform a patient of critical information, while a small error might be failing to call a patient with results.

CDC Success Rates

This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.

For more information please see our FAQs.

Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.

[Dr. Nash] was able to get all of my husband and my tests completed and discuss the results with us giving us the straight forward answer that we need to go straight to IVF. I really appreciated this as we would not spend more time trying to conceive or money on IUI...He does a single embryo transfer...he sees me each time I am in the clinic. I am not passed around to different doctors...Be prepared if you don't have tough skin to accept that he is going to give you his best medical advice and opinion towards your treatment
I cannot say enough about Kathleen and the nursing staff [at Reproductive Gynecology]...You are assigned a specific IVF nurse throughout ...Kathleen personally calls me about everything I need to know each step of the way...They are efficient and I always said it's like a well oiled machine when you go in because you get in and out, but never EVER feel rushed by anyone...not passed around to different doctors
How was your experience with David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
As I said before, Dr. Nash is my kind of doctor. I do not want anything sugar coated. I want to know what the problem is and how to fix it. Although there is more to it then that when it comes to infertility, he was able to get all of my husband and my tests completed and discuss the results with us giving us the straight forward answer that we need to go straight to IVF. I really appreciated this as we would not spend more time trying to conceive or money on IUI or other procedures that would not work for our situation. Some people would not like that kind of answer or directness of their doctor but I do. We were given time to process and brought in for another consultation to go over all our questions. He answered each of the many questions we had, explained everything including the full IVF process, the cost, the risks, the possibility of success etc. He is a very kind man as well and I always felt comfortable during exams and procedures. He made us laugh and was always very efficient without making us feel rushed by any means. I would recommend him to anyone. He is very intelligent and experienced. I appreciate all the time he takes with us as a couple and am glad he sees me each time I am in the clinic. I am not passed around to different doctors.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Be prepared if you don't have tough skin to accept that he is going to give you his best medical advice and opinion towards your treatment even if it is not something you want to hear. He is trying to do what is best for you and your wishes to start a family with all of the knowledge, experience and research he has gained over his years of practice.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Dr. Nash explained very thoroughly our infertility diagnoses and the treatment plan that would be best for us and why. He did not beat around the bush but gave us the hard facts which I appreciate very much. He also is very comforting at the same time of being straight forward and has a great bedside manner. He makes us laugh even through this difficult experience. The front desk receptionist welcomes you every time and works on learning your name so she doesn't have to ask when you come in after a few visits. The nurses are absolutely outstanding and are supporting you through the whole process. They all want my husband and I to end up with a baby in our arms in the end just as badly as we do. You are assigned a specific IVF nurse throughout as well and get to know her very well. Ours is Kathleen and we couldn't ask for a sweeter, more empathetic nurse to go through this process with us.
Describe the protocols David Nash used in your cycles at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility and their degree of success.
We went straight to IVF after starting our journey with Dr. Nash. My husband and I had tried naturally for almost 2 years. Dr. Nash diagnosed me with decreased ovarian reserve at the age of 29 and an AMH of 0.92. He also thinks I have endometriosis due to my symptoms but we have not proceeded to do an exploratory laparoscopy as there is nothing we have found abnormal with my uterus. Therefore, we get the eggs out after hard stimulation and bypass the ovulation process by going through IVF. He retrieved 9 eggs, 6 fertilized and 3 embryos resulted. He recommended PGS but we decided not to do that. My husband also has low sperm morphology so we also used ICSI. We also did an ERA to assure my uterus was stimulated correctly and it was through the medications he prescribed me. The first transfer ended in a chemical pregnancy and the 2nd transfer failed all together. We still have 1 embryo frozen currently. We are starting stimulation for another retrieval next month and will be doing PGS testing this time.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility. (Assigned nurse: Kathleen)
I cannot say enough about Kathleen and the nursing staff in general. They truly want the best for their patients and it feels like we are all in it together through this process. Kathleen personally calls me about everything I need to know each step of the way. I will never forget that after one of transfers she saw us in the hall and gave us a huge hug and kicked her leg up so excited for the possibility of growing our family. Although we took about 6 months off after the 2nd transfer didn't work, when I called she was so excited to hear from us again and knew exactly who we were like we never took a break. The staff is there for the good, bad and ugly. They explain everything so well and are prompt in their calls back to us. They are efficient and I always said it's like a well oiled machine when you go in because you get in and out, but never EVER feel rushed by anyone. I appreciate this feeling so much especially when you are going through something so complicated that should just be natural.
Describe your experience with Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
The clinic is welcoming as you walk in. The receptionist after a few visits will start to remember your name and she makes it a goal of hers for you not to tell her your name so she can learn it. The clinic is always very clean. Like I've said, the staff is very efficient without making you feel rushed so you are in and out of your appointment quickly. When you have consultations they have nice rooms with tables and chairs that are cozy for you sit in to meet.
Describe the costs associated with your care under David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
IVF was $9500 PGS was $4000 and medications varied in price. Each visit between transfer attempts was $200 if we needed an ultrasound and doctor visit. ERA was $600. Freezing embryos is $150 quarterly.
Describe David Nash's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
He does a single embryo transfer. I cannot specifically remember why but I did question this last year and we looked at research together showing why this is being done.

Dr Nash is incredibly thorough and does a good job of explaining options and courses of treatment...At every step [he] told us what our options were. We ended up doing another egg retrieval with genetic testing and an ERA to give us our best chance...We started with IUI because male factor infertility was not an issue at first. After our second IUI it became apparent that it would be a factor as well as my diminished ovarian reserve
Giving yourself shots can be intimidating at fist and they [Reproductive Gynecology nurses] are very good at explaining things and putting you at ease. Also, they completely explain each protocol to make sure it is understood and followed...$14,500 includes retrieval, genetic testing, freezing and first transfer. Additional FET are $3,500. This includes all appointments, procedures
How was your experience with David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Dr Nash is incredibly thorough and does a good job of explaining options and courses of treatment. He obviously knows what he’s doing which is my top priority. Things move fast in the office. I look at that as efficiency. Still, I haven’t felt rushed by Dr Nash. He always takes care to make sure any questions or concerns are answered. I got pregnant with my son on our second transfer. I went through three more unsuccessful transfers. At every step Dr Nash told us what our options were. We ended up doing another egg retrieval with genetic testing and an ERA to give us our best chance. Dr Nash explained all of those options to us and was there every time something unforeseen popped up to re-evaluate.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Write down any questions you have before going in. It’s so easy to forget things when you’re in the moment.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
I know the office sees a crazy number of patients. I think the doctors and nurses go out of their way to treat you like a person given all the patients they must see in a day.
Describe the protocols David Nash used in your cycles at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility and their degree of success.
It is crazy how fast things change. We started with IUI because male factor infertility was not an issue at first. After our second IUI it became apparent that it would be a factor as well as my diminished ovarian reserve. So we switched gears to IVF with ICSI. My first retrieval we ended up with five day five blasts. Genetic testing was not being as widely utilized so we didn’t do it. That’s what I wish I could do over. My first transfer my lining wasn’t thickening so they changed my estrogen protocol and that worked. Our second transfer resulted in my son. When he was a year old we started trying again. After another failed transfer Dr Nash asked us about trying another retrieval with genetic testing. We opted to do the last two transfers instead. Neither took. So we did what Dr Nash suggested and did a retrieval with genetic testing as well as an endometrial receptivity analysis. We now have two blasts and are awaiting a transfer.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility. (Assigned nurse: Michelle, Jenna)
The IVF nurse coordinators are amazing. Giving yourself shots can be intimidating at fist and they are very good at explaining things and putting you at ease. Also, they completely explain each protocol to make sure it is understood and followed.
Describe your experience with Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
It is the single most efficiently run doctor’s office I have ever been to. We have had a couple of billing issues as we had insurance coverage but maxed it out and are now self pay. A couple things have been accidentally processed through insurance still. But the office had been good about getting those issues resolved.
Describe the costs associated with your care under David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
$14,500 includes retrieval, genetic testing, freezing and first transfer. Additional FET are $3,500. This includes all appointments, procedures. Medications are extra. I have medication coverage so mine were never more than a few hundred. The ERA ended up being around $1,200 maybe. $600 was the cost of the lab analysis. The rest was for the office visits.
Describe David Nash's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
The office very much pushes single transfers. They want what gives the best chance for a healthy mother and baby. I’ll give you from a time/money standpoint that can feel frustrating in the midst of it, but they’ve explained the medical reasons and I get it.

I can't say enough positive things about her{Dr. Maseelall], she's willing to adjust and try our different protocols, she listens to what I have to say, what my concerns are, and addresses them directly with facts....I have always felt like Dr. Maseelall knows exactly who I am
The nursing staff is very organized, communicates directly, and are there to help answer any questions you may have. Most commonly they are very busy, so when you call in with a question you normally leave a voicemail but they have always gotten back to me in 24hours or less
How was your experience with Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
I was very nervous the first time that we met with Dr. Maseelall, I tend to have a bit of anxiety so I'm always a little on edge. The first meeting with her was great, even though there was hard to take information, I appreciated her ability to be compassionate with still being very direct about where our issues are, as well as what our options can be. I have never felt like a number, even though I know that they are so very busy at RGI, I have always felt like Dr. Maseelall knows exactly who I am and what we even discussed at our last appointment.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
I can't say enough positive things about her, she's willing to adjust and try our different protocols, she listens to what I have to say, what my concerns are, and addresses them directly with facts. I would say it's easy to be comfortable with her, and trust in her. So ask all of your questions, knowing that there will be an answer, and trust in her.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Dr Maseelall has always, and continues to show interest in our lives outside of why were are there. This is a great break from the stress of infertility, and takes a bit of the edge off knowing that we will be able to have a 'normal' conversation, and not just stressful ones.
Describe the protocols Priya Maseelall used in your cycles at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility and their degree of success.
I have done 2 IUI's, and waiting to move forward with IVF. During the IUI's adjustments from the 'normal' timing were made to fit my cycle. The first IUI went fine, ultrasounds etc was ok. The second IUI, I had a cyst, so there was bloodwork done to see if we were even able to move forward. We were in the clear for that, so next US my follicles were not ready, so we waited 2 days for another US and then were in the clear to trigger that day. We have now discussed IVF, and since we only have one opportunity at this IVF thing due to financial issues, Dr Maseelall was very understanding and set up a plan of attack for an aggressive protocol with stims, and what our options are if we only have 1 normal embryo or multiple normal embryos. We know what will happen next, and what to expect.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
The nursing staff is very organized, communicates directly, and are there to help answer any questions you may have. Most commonly they are very busy, so when you call in with a question you normally leave a voicemail but they have always gotten back to me in 24hours or less
Describe your experience with Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
During our first visit, which was a consultation, we did wait in the lobby for a decent amount of time to be called back. In the moment it did make me more stressed out and nervous, but after understanding all of the things that they deal with in their office, I was very understanding to it. I thought that if I had some type of emergency or needed extra time with the Dr. or Nurse, or even if the Dr was just reviewing paperwork so they had a better knowledge of their patient... I would hope that they would spend that time with me too. So, I will never have a problem waiting for Dr. Maseelall, although we haven't had to wait since that first appointment! She is very compassionate, but direct so you never have to try to read between the lines, she will tell you straight and I appreciate that because I don't go home worrying about things or over thinking them. I know she will be honest with me.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
IUI was approximately $1,000 - they submitted everything through my insurance to see if there was any coverage but unfortunately my insurance does not provide any coverage for anything infertility related.
Describe Priya Maseelall's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
Her protocol with PGS tested embryo's is to transfer 1.

Dr. Nash is very transparent. honest, and treats us like we are capable of understanding what can be complicated treatment information...He made a very clear plan for us, which started with uterine fibroid removal surgery...After 6 weeks of recovery, I did 3 rounds of IUI (Clomid and Ovidrel) with donor sperm...he gave us multiple options with statistical chances for each option. We intend to move forward with IVF...Dr. Nash only transfers one embryo at a time for safety reasons
[nurse of Reproductive Gynecology] They always remember my name and greet me with enthusiasm, which instantly lowers my anxiety. They are prompt with responding to questions...The IUI procedure was $500/ round, plus $100/ trigger shot through the recommended online pharmacy (I received a 10% rebate each order). 5 Days of Clomid was $20 out of pocket from my local pharmacy. I also ordered 4 vials of sperm from an online donor bank, which totaled about $4400.
How was your experience with David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Dr.Nash is the kind of doctor you want if you appreciate no-nonsense, clear and concise communication (which is what I appreciate the most). He made a very clear plan for us, which started with uterine fibroid removal surgery. We completed three rounds of IUI with donor sperm and haven't yet had any luck, but when I consulted again with Dr. Nash about "what's next", we felt confident knowing that he gave us multiple options with statistical chances for each option. We intend to move forward with IVF once the clinics are allowed to conduct elective procedures again. I highly recommend Dr. Nash. I am very pleased thus far with our experience.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
If you want to know the facts and you are okay with straightforward communication, Dr. Nash is the doctor for you. He is confident in his expertise.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Dr. Nash is very transparent. honest, and treats us like we are capable of understanding what can be complicated treatment information.
Describe the protocols David Nash used in your cycles at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility and their degree of success.
First, I had an abdominal laparotomy to remove multiple fibroids from my uterine cavity. After 6 weeks of recovery, I did 3 rounds of IUI (Clomid and Ovidrel) with donor sperm (my husband was previously diagnosed and treated for azoospermia with no success). We have no pregnancies yet. We will be moving forward with IVF with donor sperm due to this being the highest chance of pregnancy, particularly due to my age.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
The entire staff is compassionate and caring. They make me feel welcome every time I enter. They always remember my name and greet me with enthusiasm, which instantly lowers my anxiety. They are prompt with responding to questions.
Describe your experience with Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
Strengths- warm, welcoming, compassionate atmosphere from the staff and nurses. Dr. Nash is an expert and gives clear courses of treatment. Weaknesses- The clinic is far away from me, and their new one that is closer is not yet providing ART services. Hoping that will change soon.
Describe the costs associated with your care under David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
The laparotomy was covered by my insurance. The IUI procedure was $500/ round, plus $100/ trigger shot through the recommended online pharmacy (I received a 10% rebate each order). 5 Days of Clomid was $20 out of pocket from my local pharmacy. Describe David Nash's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
Dr. Nash only transfers one embryo at a time for safety reasons. I'm fine with that because I'm going to be a high risk pregnancy.

During our consults she [Dr. Priya Maseelall] sat and spoke to us across a table, instead of while typing in a computer. She is compassionate but direct...was very direct and clear in explaining to us why we were not getting pregnant. After being labeled as "unexplained" for 3 years by another physician, she sat us down and showed us exactly what our issue was...at no point did I feel she was apathetic. When our last IUI did not work, we had a consult for IVF where she explained everything clearly and patiently answered all of my questions.
RGI is a very busy clinic. I have felt a little rushed when there for ultrasounds or bloodwork. However the staff is always kind and compassionate. I do feel that they could do a little better job explaining the process for each appointment...RGI/Dr Maseelall are strong supporters of eSET. We had to attend an IVF meeting where they explained their rationale for this. It was clear, and I agree with that plan.

Come into your consult prepared with any questions you might have. I had a list of them, and she did a great job of patiently answering each one until I felt comfortable and satisfied.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Although RGI Akron is a very busy clinic, they do a pretty good job of making you feel like a person through this journey. During our consults she sat and spoke to us across a table, instead of while typing in a computer. She is compassionate but direct, which I really appreciated.
Describe the protocols Priya Maseelall used in your cycles at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility and their degree of success.
I had previously done 2 rounds of Clomid and IUI with a different clinic. She explained that she would like to try one more round of IUI using a different medicine, but if that didn't work we would proceed to IVF. For that round we used the oral Letrozole with a trigger shot and then an IUI. We didn't get pregnant, but we knew that our chances were very low for IUI to work.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
RGI is a very busy clinic. I have felt a little rushed when there for ultrasounds or bloodwork. However the staff is always kind and compassionate. I do feel that they could do a little better job explaining the process for each appointment. For example when a procedure is complete letting me know whether to wait there when ready, or if they will be back with paperwork, etc. I felt unsure each time what my next set was before leaving.
Describe your experience with Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
RGI is a busy clinic so I have had to wait past my appointment time a few times. It is a private practice clinic, so things are a little more personal than my previous experience at a large Clinic. They are always good about getting back to me if I call and leave a message. They are one of the only clinics in the area that offers an IVF Guarantee program to bring home a baby. They have multiple locations, so if you need a different appointment time or location, they can be accommodating. Their blood draw lab is on-site, however they use outside labs to process all of their tests - this has led to confusion on the billing side to track what/who each bill was for. Their billing coordinator was very helpful in explaining the charges and different labs they use. I do wish that they had online medical records, I got used to that with my old clinic and think that would be a value add for them.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
A lot of my testing was outdated (about 3 years old) so I had to have a fair amount of testing done to update my records. Because of that we had a large amount of lab costs. We were charged for our consult and the imaging done. I watch our medical charges carefully due to being mischarged in the past at another Clinic, and I haven't seen any charges through RGI that I didn't agree with. Our IUI was not covered, so that charge was an upfront cash fee.
Describe Priya Maseelall's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
We have not started IVF yet due to Covid-19, however RGI/Dr Maseelall are strong supporters of eSET. We had to attend an IVF meeting where they explained their rationale for this. It was clear, and I agree with that plan.
What specific things went wrong at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
  • Failed to call in prescriptions to pharmacy
Describe the specific things that went wrong at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
During our IUI cycle the clinic forgot to call in my prescription for my trigger shot. This is a time and temperature sensitive medication. They use a mail order pharmacy and told me that the lab would call me in time to receive my medication. When I hadn't heard from the pharmacy 4 days before I needed it I called them. They said they didn't have an Rx on file. So I had to call the clinic and get it sorted out, which they told me they forgot to send it. By this time it was the next day, a Friday, and I had to pay overnight weekend shipping fee to receive the medication in time for my Monday appointment. Only to get to my appointment and explain what happened to Dr Maseelall for her to say, they keep backups there in the office that I could have used. I was frustrated, but accidents happen. I also could have called the pharmacy earlier to check - and will from now on.

After seeing 5 other dr's to try to diagnose the issues I was having (what eventually lead to our infertility), Dr Maseelall and her staff and the ONLY ones that ever took the time and care to really evaluate and listen to what we were telling them and finally found the answer and has been able to treat the underlying cause of our infertility and is now helping us to create a family...has a very upbeat, bubbly personality which meshes very well with my own personality and that of my husband's. I honestly have not seen any weakness in her.
Everyone in the satellite clinic and the main clinic [of Reproductive Gynecology] are friendly and knowledgeable. And the nurses generally work between both my staellite office and the main office, so I was seeing familiar faces at either place. The satellite clinics are only used for basic appointments, so all of our procedures were done at the main office...the ERA was unsuccessful. The lab said that there wasn't enough tissue to perform the test.
How was your experience with Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Dr Maseelall is very kind and compassionate. She not only took the time to diagnose and treat the underlying cause of our fertility problems but she also took the time to get to know us as a couple. Some may view it as a weakness, but I feel that a doctor that truly knows her patients and can actually empathize with them, with what they are going through, is far superior. She gave us honest, straightforward answers to every question we have asked. She has never sugar-coated anything, but has given us the truth and facts in a manner that was easy for us to understand but yet that we grasped the severity of the situation. Every surgery that she has performed on me, I sae her prior to the surgical appointment and then again in the OR prior to being put under. Which, for me, was a huge relief, knowing that she was there. My family is very strong in our faith and we pray about everything. And she has never looked at me like I was crazy or treated me like my faith wasn't just as important as her medical knowledge -which I had had in the past from a previous dr who told me that it wasn't! Dr Maseelall has a very upbeat, bubbly personality which meshes very well with my own personality and that of my husband's. I honestly have not seen any weakness in her.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Go! Don't wait like everyone says. We listened to people -including drs- who said we had plenty of time. That we were still young. But guess what? Those people, those DOCTORS didn't diagnose me with PCOS, and because of that. The waiting just led to a more serious condition - complex endometrial hyperplasia with a-typia. Something that could have FULLY taken my fertility and ability to ever carry a child, had Dr Maseelall not caught it and then treated it with tenacity.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Dr Maseelall has always taken the time to answer EVERY SINGLE QUESTION we have ever had. When our FET using donor embryo failed, she was more upset than we were!! We've been through so many let downs that we truly didn't expect a positive result, even though we tried to stay positive. She was genuinely upset and honestly, was puzzled as to why the embryo didn't attach. The entire staff treats you like you are the only patient they are seeing, taking the time to answer questions and really talk to you. After seeing 5 other dr's to try to diagnose the issues I was having (what eventually lead to our infertility), Dr Maseelall and her staff and the ONLY ones that ever took the time and care to really evaluate and listen to what we were telling them and finally found the answer and has been able to treat the underlying cause of our infertility and is now helping us to create a family.
Describe the protocols Priya Maseelall used in your cycles at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility and their degree of success.
Our very first round, we used lupron to suppress my own hormones. Then I started taking estradiol and baby aspirin. We had to cancel the cycle because I spontaneously ovulated -something I hadn't done in nearly 7 years. She then had me take provera to force me to have a period to shed the lining. When our next cycle was to start, Dr Maseelall discovered that I had developed a cyst so she had us delay the cycle until the cyst disappeared or shrank. We then decided to use letrozole and use my own natural cycle to prepare my uterus and body for an embryo transfer using a donor embryo. I took 4 letrozole pills every day for 5 days. Several days of monitoring my lining growth and symmetry, the size of the follicles I was creating (I produced a total of 5 with 3 growing large enough to actually be released), and then followed by a shot of hCG to trigger ovualtion, followed by 1 week of progesterone shots, an FET using our donor embryo, and then followed by 10 days of progesterone shots.... And a negative pregnancy test. After the test came back negative, we had a heart-to-heart conversation with Dr Maseelall about our options and chances of our 2nd embryo (we only had 2) implanting if we did another round. She suggested doing an ERA test for our next round to see how receptive my uterine lining actually is. So we did it. Using the same protocol we used for our failed transfer. I only produced 3 follicles this time. And the ERA was unsuccessful. The lab said that there wasn't enough tissue to perform the test. With Christmas a month away, we opted to take a month off and to regroup after the holiday. We have not redone the ERA test as of yet because we have been doing a lot of praying and reevaluating, and discussing the possibility of using a surrogate, which we had discussed with Dr Maseelall the last time we saw her.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
Most of the time I have gone in, I have had the same nurse. Just because that is how her schedule fell. All of the nurses were kind and compassionate, taking time to answer questions when asked, and very thorough.
Describe your experience with Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
RGI has several satellite offices in addition to their main office in Akron. It makes seeing your dr even more convenient. I first saw Dr Maseelall at a satellite clinic which was only about 25 minutes from my home, vs the hr drive to the main clinic. Everyone in the satellite clinic and the main clinic are friendly and knowledgeable. And the nurses generally work between both my staellite office and the main office, so I was seeing familiar faces at either place. The satellite clinics are only used for basic appointments, so all of our procedures were done at the main office.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
The legal aspect of securing legal rights for our donor embryos cost $5000 for the 1st and an additional $2000 for the 2nd. Our FET cycle, without the cost of medication, cost $3500. For our ERA round, we paid for bloodwork only, which cost us $40 per stick, for a total of $160.
Describe Priya Maseelall's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
I am grateful that Dr Maseelall explained to us the reasons why she would only transfer one embryo for us. My health and safety were paramount for her.

At retrieval we got 12 eggs, 11 were mature, 10 fertilized and on day 5 we ended up with 5 embryos to freeze and transfer later...[Dr. Maseelall] guided us to only transfer one. The risk with multiples is high and since we have two embryos that are graded 4AA we are 100% comfortable transferring one to have the best chances of success...Always willing to answer any questions you may have and comfort you in times of need. The only time I felt like a "number" would be on monitoring appointments when she comes in to do ultrasounds and leaves right after that. There doesn't seem to be much time to answer questions because you feel bad taking up time when she is rushing.
The price for our IVF cycle [at Reproductive Gynecology] was 8,000. We had to pay an extra 1,000 to freeze our embryos since I had to have surgery after retrieval. That price includes retrieval, all monitoring and transfer. Meds were a separate cost...We have only had a couple times where they were running late on appointments. Getting blood work is always fast and easy, those nurses are great.
How was your experience with Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Doctor was great. She was involved every step of the way including testing, two surgeries, retrieval and transfer. She was ready to answer questions and help any way she could. When a road block came up during our treatment, she figured out a way to keep things moving and only pushed our time out a few weeks instead of anything longer. She keeps the patient and the situation in mind while doing everything so that her patients have the best chances of getting the baby they so badly want
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Come to your appointments with any questions written down. You never know what will come up during your appointment, so having everything written down helps keep your mind on track, and also help if other questions pop up during the appointment so that you don't forget what you originally wanted to ask. Sometimes she can talk fast and move on, don't be afraid to ask her to explain something again, she is there to help so use her to your advantage
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
She is a great doctor. Always willing to answer any questions you may have and comfort you in times of need. The only time I felt like a "number" would be on monitoring appointments when she comes in to do ultrasounds and leaves right after that. There doesn't seem to be much time to answer questions because you feel bad taking up time when she is rushing.
Describe the protocols Priya Maseelall used in your cycles at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility and their degree of success.
Around two weeks of birth control to start. Then 10 days of stims - Menopur and Follistim for all 10 days, around day 5/6 we added in Ganirelix. Day 10 we did the trigger shot as well and 36 hours later we did retrieval. At retrieval we got 12 eggs, 11 were mature, 10 fertilized and on day 5 we ended up with 5 embryos to freeze and transfer later. Being a first timer with IVF I didn't ask a lot of questions on the medications, I trusted that my doctor knew what the best course of action was for us.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility. (Assigned nurse: Michelle)
Michelle was great to work with. She always made you feel comfortable and encouraged asking questions. She even left a voicemail and left her personal cell phone number so I could call her back and talk. Michelle and Jenna were great with teaching us how to use the meds. We felt totally comfortable when starting injections because of the knowledge they gave us during the teaching demonstration
Describe your experience with Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
Overall the clinic is great. We have only had a couple times where they were running late on appointments. Getting blood work is always fast and easy, those nurses are great. Sometimes it can be overwhelming walking in and seeing a full waiting room, but they move fast since a lot of people are just getting blood work. The only thing I think they could improve (and this isn't all the time, just a few times) one of the ladies at the front desk sometimes isn't the nicest person. I get that people have bad days, but when you are working in such a sensitive area there should be more compassion and care when dealing with people over the phone and in the office.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
Initial testing to determine cause of infertility was sometimes paid by insurance but most times it was not. The price for our IVF cycle was 8,000. We had to pay an extra 1,000 to freeze our embryos since I had to have surgery after retrieval. That price includes retrieval, all monitoring and transfer. Meds were a separate cost. For stims meds we paid about 3,500 for our 10 days of meds. The doctor prescribed them perfectly and we had nothing left over that was wasted, and we had enough to make it through all of our days. Meds for the frozen transfer prep were another cost. I believe those were around $1200. Some of those were covered under insurance so they were cheaper, but the Lupron kit was the most expensive of that process.
Describe Priya Maseelall's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.

Dr. Zolton is compassionate...professional and straight forward...was so kind while I was in pain during my HSG...caring when it comes to my issues with endometriosis...is easy to talk to and relatable...works closely with my endo surgeon...stage 4 endometriosis...plan to undergo IVF with Dr. Zolton in a few months
If {Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility] were based solely off the medical staff, I’d give 5 stars. If the clinic were based off the front office staff, I’d give 1 star...was given the wrong information for how much I had to pay each day. Numerous times I was given the wrong estimated cost...They were very friendly
How was your experience with Jessica Zolton at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Dr. Zolton is compassionate, while also professional and straight forward. She was so kind while I was in pain during my HSG and she has been nothing short of caring when it comes to my issues with endometriosis. She is easy to talk to and relatable. I would recommend her to anyone.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Jessica Zolton at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Just be open and honest about your concerns, she will take the time to make you feel heard.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Jessica Zolton at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
I’ve always felt like Dr. Zolton genuinely cares about my case. She works closely with my endometriosis specialist, so we can speak freely regarding my endo as well. She has shared that she’s gone through IVF too, which shows empathy towards clients in regards to treatment. She is a kind human overall.
Describe the protocols Jessica Zolton used in your cycles at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility and their degree of success.
My husband and I had been trying to conceive for over a year with no success. We knew at the time that I had endometriosis, but this was prior to surgery so we weren’t sure of the severity. She offered both IUI and IVF, while explaining that due to the endometriosis, IVF might be the better option. But my husband and I wanted to take the more natural route first so we decided to go through with IUI. Like I mentioned above, Dr. Zolton was aware of my endometriosis, so she considered this when choosing my oral medications for IUI. She explained that Letrozole is sometimes better for those with endo. During treatment, I felt totally normal. I like to give credit to Dr. Zolton for this because I’m sure it had to be correlated with her choice of medication. Our first IUI failed, so we decided to do another which also failed. At that point, my husband and I decided it was time for ablation surgery for endometriosis. Dr. Zolton works closely with my endo surgeon so I was very happy with the fact that they were consistently in communication regarding my case. I have felt supported all around. We found out during surgery that I have stage 4 endometriosis, in which my surgeons told my husband that it was one of the worst cases they’d seen. We tried naturally for 6 months post surgery, but ultimately resulting in negative pregnancy tests. This was when I decided to go back to Dr. Zolton again to consider IVF. I met with her again last week and it was as though we never missed a beat. She was helpful, warm, and thorough. She explained to me that IVF is probably the next best option for us and felt as though the prognosis is good. We are hopeful. My husband and I plan to undergo IVF with Dr. Zolton in a few months. Fingers crossed!
Describe your experience with your nurse at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility. (Assigned nurse: Jillian)
The nurses at RGI were all very caring. My coordinator has been great! She is responsive and helpful. There was one instance where we had an issue with medication protocol, I was given incorrect instructions. Luckily I work in equine breeding and I understand timed AI, or I would have probably undergone incorrect treatment protocol. I asked one of the other nurses and she corrected the situation. Otherwise, I’ve had great experiences with the nurses and coordinator.
Describe your experience with Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
If the clinic were based solely off the medical staff, I’d give 5 stars. If the clinic were based off the front office staff, I’d give 1 star. There were numerous times that I was given the wrong information for how much I had to pay each day. Numerous times I was given the wrong estimated cost. It came to the point where I didn’t trust the information I was being given by the financial and front office staff. They were very friendly, though.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Jessica Zolton at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
We spent about $3000 give or take on IUI treatment, not including medication costs. I want to say that was per treatment.
Describe Jessica Zolton's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
Dr. Zolton recommended single embryo transfer. I don’t have any specific comments or concerns.
What specific things went wrong at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
  • Provided conflicting information
Describe the specific things that went wrong at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
Like I said, the only issues was the financial information. I was told to pay $600 or so a few times that I only owed $200, and visa versa. Luckily I questioned and checked these things or I think they would have taken my payment. I was also told to take my oral meds at two different times from two different nurses.

Dr Maseelall was very compassionate, kind, and friendly...no major fertility issues and was still very young at the time of my retrieval...didn't get even a single embryo from my cycle...was treated with Gonal F 225 and Menopur 75. I was monitored only twice throughout the process
[Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility has] long wait times, it can be hard to reach someone on the phone, they cannot attain good results, can mess you up at the egg retrieval...was in extreme pain...CT scan showed that I had internal bleeding in my abdomen due to a nicked follicle
How was your experience with Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Dr Maseelall was very compassionate, kind, and friendly. I came to her for an egg retrieval and transfer. I had done an egg retrieval previously in another State, but I moved to Ohio and wanted to retrieve more eggs so that I could have more embryos to store. I had done my first egg retrieval 2 years prior to the one with her, and I was able to obtain 6 frozen embryos. I had no major fertility issues and was still very young at the time of my retrieval with Dr. Maseelall. However, I didn't get even a single embryo from my cycle with Dr. Maseelall. This was very upsetting and shows some kind of incompetence.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Do not use her

They were very nice
Describe your experience with Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
I would not recommend this clinic. They have long wait times, it can be hard to reach someone on the phone, they cannot attain good results, can mess you up at the egg retrieval. After my egg retrieval, I was in extreme pain and called my nurse to ask if it was normal. They said it's normal for the first day. I knew this was odd because I had a prior egg retrieval at another facility and did not have any pain. Eventually, the pain got so bad at night that I called the clinic's emergency line. They told me that maybe I should go to the ER. I went to the ER and underwent a CT can. The CT scan showed that I had internal bleeding in my abdomen due to a nicked follicle. I was in the hospital for a day and was in extreme pain for about a week until finally it subsided. RGI did not take responsibility for the disaster and malpractice, and did not want to reimburse me for the tremendous expenses incurred as a result. To make matters worse, I did not get even a single embryo from the entire procedure. As mentioned, I have used another clinic out of state previously, and this never would have happened. They are very money hungry and are not very competent

Dr Bhatt did suggest moving forward with an IUI since that is the next logical step to help with male factor infertility. When I asked her about me trying a medicated cycle, she was honest and said that would not be a good fit for me and explained why. She suggested we continue working with my husband’s urologist and reach out when we are ready to try IUI...took the time to hear my medical history and she responded to all my questions openly and honestly.
[Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility] was very streamlined with their communication process. They were very inclusive to LGBTQ couples. Everyone there was so kind and welcoming. The clinic was clean and felt a little more upscale than a typical drs office...I loved the nustsing staff!! They made me feel like my case mattered to them and approached everything with kindness and compassion. The communication was so great, I loved being able to text my nurse directly with any questions. It truly made me feel less alone on this journey.
How was your experience with Shweta Bhatt at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
I came to Dr. Bhatt already knowing that my husband has make factor infertility. She was very helpful with running tests to rule out any other infertility diagnosis on my end. She gave me good advice that was grounded in reality and gave me options for next steps in my fertility journey.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Shweta Bhatt at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Don’t be afraid to ask for any addititional testing that you feel you may need.

During our consultation, I felt that [Dr. Maseelall] was super thorough in listening to our histories and our concerns. I felt like I was in very capable hands...I felt that she’s taking our concerns seriously and really cares. As it was a telehealth visit, she even had me go get my vitamins and supplements during the appointment so she knew exactly what I’m taking. It’s a small thing, but her offer to prescribe folic acid rather than OTC (as I need a really high dose) helped simplify an overwhelming process
I am pleased and relieved that my husband can be seen at [Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility] and sometimes even at the same time, saving us trips. Everyone has been very mindful of making this process relatively efficient (get as much out of appointments as we can- for example, my husband got bloodwork while I got my HSG) and sharing info...[nurse] Jillian is very responsive to texts. I feel like I always know what to expect and what’s going on. There are a lot of appointments to coordinate and she’s been wonderful and handling that for both me and my husband.
How was your experience with Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
We are early in the process, but so far I feel we’ve been given very thorough information and I felt that she’s taking our concerns seriously and really cares. As it was a telehealth visit, she even had me go get my vitamins and supplements during the appointment so she knew exactly what I’m taking. It’s a small thing, but her offer to prescribe folic acid rather than OTC (as I need a really high dose) helped simplify an overwhelming process.

So far (in diagnosis stage for me), bloodwork, a vaginal ultrasound, and HSG. My husband has had bloodwork, a semen analysis, and a consult with a reproductive urologist. All results have been shared with us and between our doctors in a very timely fashion. We also both had genetic screening.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility. (Assigned nurse: Jillian)
Jillian is very responsive to texts. I feel like I always know what to expect and what’s going on. There are a lot of appointments to coordinate and she’s been wonderful and handling that for both me and my husband.
Describe your experience with Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
I am pleased and relieved that my husband can be seen at the same place and sometimes even at the same time, saving us trips. Everyone has been very mindful of making this process relatively efficient (get as much out of appointments as we can- for example, my husband got bloodwork while I got my HSG) and sharing info between Dr M and the reproductive urologist. Also we were scheduled and seen very quickly after reaching out with our referral. I was so happy about that!
Describe the costs associated with your care under Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
I believe I paid a co-pay for the our first telehealth visit of $45. Bloodwork after insurance was about $60. Ultrasound about $100. HSG about $250.

Others sometimes describe Dr. Nash as simply blunt, but I disagree. I can accept different demeanors from my physicians. What's more difficult for me to accept is someone in such a dynamic field committing to what they learned many years ago without being open to more recent theories and/or advancements...As an older woman with DOR, beyond some overoptimistic percentages given to me when considering IVF, I haven't yet felt the sense that he actually expects that we might succeed.
It's a mixed bag. There are compassionate, invested individuals at the practice [at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility], but the clinic as a whole is very rigid and run of the mill...Multiple times I've been "out of luck" with mistakes the clinic has made only to find out later that there were workarounds available that a more individualized approach would have uncovered...It's hard to get through and you've got to really stay on top of what you're being charged. This clinic requires a lot of legwork on the patient end, more than other clinics I've worked with.
How was your experience with David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Others sometimes describe Dr. Nash as simply blunt, but I disagree. I can accept different demeanors from my physicians. What's more difficult for me to accept is someone in such a dynamic field committing to what they learned many years ago without being open to more recent theories and/or advancements. Even in the face of vastly improved results with different treatments, Dr. Nash not only wouldn't budge, but seemed exasperated by my questions. I respect conviction, but when combined with the rushed nature of consults and procedures it can feel very discouraging. In retrospect I feel Dr. Nash really falls victim to the age-trap, which can be statistically supported but doesn't tell the whole story. As an older woman with DOR, beyond some overoptimistic percentages given to me when considering IVF, I haven't yet felt the sense that he actually expects that we might succeed.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
See what else is available to you. You might surprised by the quality of care and innovative thinking that is actually available to you at other clinics.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
It's a mixed bag. There are compassionate, invested individuals at the practice, but the clinic as a whole is very rigid and run of the mill. During a visit to a satellite clinic I saw an article describing RGI as a "boutique clinic" and I actually snort-laughed out loud. I found the clinic to be resistant to changing practices within the field. Multiple times I've been "out of luck" with mistakes the clinic has made only to find out later that there were workarounds available that a more individualized approach would have uncovered.
Describe your experience with Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
Strengths: the individual people involved in care. It's fairly smooth once you're at the office. They are often able to fit appointments in (though not always). Weaknesses: almost every aspect on the administrative side, especially billing. It's hard to get through and you've got to really stay on top of what you're being charged. This clinic requires a lot of legwork on the patient end, more than other clinics I've worked with.

Dr. M is blunt and straightforward, but did communicate with us in a compassionate way when discussing the death of our daughter at 17 weeks last year. She speaks quickly, and it often seems that she assumes that I understand the processes even though we have never underwent fertility treatment. We have only seen her twice virtually, and I have not seen her in person at any of my procedures (IUI, HSG, saline ultrasound, and ultrasounds prior to IUI).
Overall, we experienced insensitive nursing staff [at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility], felt that we only received generic care rather than individualized care for our specific experiences, and felt disregarded when it came to our needs. Things were not fully explained, gatekeeping occurred with the doctor, and results were lost...the front desk staff has been friendly for the most part. I think that the clinic as a whole has too many patients, thus lending itself to patients feeling like a number.
How was your experience with Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Make sure that you do research beforehand (even though this can be especially challenging to predict treatment protocol) so that you have knowledge to inform questions during the appointment. In my experience, you won't have access to her outside of specific consultation appointments, so it is imperative to ask questions and get details that you need at that time.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
I have only met with Dr.M twice - once for our initial consultation and once for a follow-up to discuss next steps after our diagnostic testing was completed. I have not had access to her in any other regard, despite having several questions for her throughout (although this may be in large part due to gatekeeping by nurses). We experienced the loss of our daughter at 17 weeks last year, and Dr. M did use her name when referring to our daughter, which I greatly appreciated. However, I have felt rushed during both meetings (only virtual) and feel that there has been a lack of interest in exploring why we have experienced losses in the past, and also are struggling to become pregnant. This is our first time going through treatment, and I feel that I don't know what questions to ask prior to going through the process, and would appreciate more detailed explanations of procedures during consultations.
Describe the protocols Priya Maseelall used in your cycles at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility and their degree of success.
Dr. M is unsure why we are experiencing recurrent loss and infertility, and recommended either continuing to try naturally for 3-6 months or an IUI. For the IUI, our protocol included a baseline ultrasound, 50mg of Clomid for 5 days, a trigger shot, and IUI. I feel that it was an extremely generic protocol, and after doing some of my own research, I don't feel that this is personalized for us. For example, I naturally ovulate and expressed concerns taking medication - others have told me that their doctor did not include trigger shot for them and I feel that my concerns were not heard at that time. It feels that the trigger shot was solely for convenience of the clinic rather than fitting my needs.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility. (Assigned nurse: Heather)
We had a horrible experience with the nursing staff. My assigned coordinator was insensitive regarding our previous losses, failed to respond to questions throughout, and disregarded my concerns or questions with basic blanket statements. At one point, my husband and I had some questions about the IUI process and were speaking to a nurse in the office - she couldn't answer our questions and told us "I'm not sure about that, I got pregnant naturally and easily and never had to do this". I have had to follow up with my assigned coordinator several times in order to get basic answers. We had a chromosomal analysis completed, and the nurse told me that they had lost my results and we would need to get blood drawn again. My husband then had blood redrawn for his portion at the request of the nurse, but had his results from 2 months ago uploaded later that day. I called to ask the nurse and she told me "they must have just been buried". Extremely unprofessional communication throughout, including frequent use of "lol" in text communication and sarcasm in other communication. I normally welcome humor, but it felt extremely insensitive, especially when these responses came after sensitive questions. If I ask to be put in communication with Dr.M, have specific questions for Dr. M, or tried to schedule another appointment, the nurses would state that they can answer my questions and they couldn't schedule me for several weeks out. I frequently had to correct my assigned nurse, as she would tell me I did not need further bloodwork, despite Dr. M sending scripts for me to do so. We felt disregarded and as if we were simply a number.
Describe your experience with Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
The billing department is not great at responding to messages or questions, and seem to have high turnover with their billing coordinators. If you have questions with billing, make sure that you advocate for yourself. In my experience, the front desk staff has been friendly for the most part. I think that the clinic as a whole has too many patients, thus lending itself to patients feeling like a number.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
We had insurance coverage for diagnostic testing, so we had copays for that, but we did not have coverage with any treatments. IUI in total with Clomid was around $1300. Any ultrasounds were $300 each and consultation with the doctor was $200

[Dr. Nash] is very honest but compassionate and kind. I feel he sees too many patients because he is forgetful and unprepared for consults and follow up appointments...Only recommends single embryo transfer so they are not putting the patient at risk for multiples and high risk pregnancy...He focuses on a science based approach and is unwilling to trial new research without proven results. I believe He is a great doctor for those with basic fertility issues but the more complex the issue the less flexibility for trial and error
[Reproductive Gynecology] Strength is they get you in and out very quick and try to work with your schedule as much as possible...Communication is bad if you are not in a cycle, but better when you are actively in treatment. They used to meet in person with you but now all communication is done through text message. The experience is a little cold now. They definitely expect you to drive your treatment and you are often on your own for research
How was your experience with David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
He is very honest but compassionate and kind. I feel he sees too many patients because he is forgetful and unprepared for consults and follow up appointments. He works very quick and often has you lead conversations instead of him offering advice. He focuses on a science based approach and is unwilling to trial new research without proven results. I believe He is a great doctor for those with basic fertility issues but the more complex the issue the less flexibility for trial and error
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Come prepared with your own questions because he will not bring anything up on his own. Do not have expectations of growing a relationship with him. He is very kind and personable but very quick and not the next patient. If you are wanting to try anything beyond a typical medicated protocol, he is not likely a good fit
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Unprepared for follow up meetings, often asked what procedure I am there for when doing ultrasounds during a cycle, (ie. is this for an ERA or transfer cycle?) often have to give a review of my own history during consults even though he has been my only fertility doctor. Quick in and out, no real conversation during appointments
Describe the protocols David Nash used in your cycles at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility and their degree of success.
IVF- follistim, menopur, ganirellix, Lupron trigger Transfer- estradiol, progesterone, baby aspirin, medrol Does very standard medicated cycles
Describe your experience with your nurse at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility. (Assigned nurse: Kathleen)
Kathleen was great but she left the clinic. There has been a lot of turnover since. There is an IVF coordinator who is very black and white and we don’t communicate with her often, mostly the IVF nurses. The new nurses are good but they are still learning
Describe your experience with Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
Strength is they get you in and out very quick and try to work with your schedule as much as possible. They are going through a buy out and the transition has been rough. Changing to a new EMR that they are having challenges learning. Communication is bad if you are not in a cycle, but better when you are actively in treatment. They used to meet in person with you but now all communication is done through text message. The experience is a little cold now. They definitely expect you to drive your treatment and you are often on your own for research. They are very reactive to next steps and not often proactively communicating
Describe the costs associated with your care under David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
$14,500 IVF round 1 $3500 X 6 for frozen embryo transfers $11,000 IVF round 2 $45 copays for consults ERA x 2 approx $1,000 each
Describe David Nash's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
Only recommends single embryo transfer so they are not putting the patient at risk for multiples and high risk pregnancy

Had to ask for my last HCG draw around 5pm on beta day, nobody called me with results. Test was negative Dr Nash has given conflicting information- saying steroids were dangerous for fertility treatment then when I was on them for a hive breakout, he said I could keep going with my cycle they wouldn’t effect anything I have always had an allergy to amoxicillin but dr Nash gives it to me after egg retrieval feels benefits outweigh risks. I ended up in the ER after use

[Dr. Maseelall] always explained things in layman’s terms, was candid/frank but always had a solution if there was a problem or an answer to the possible questions. She went out of her way to stop me in the hall on occasion to follow up and make sure I had my questions answered...there were some visits where the nurse was with me basically the whole time and Dr. Maseelall would pop in for a few seconds to say everything looks fine and ask if I had any questions
[the Reproductive Gynecology nurse] is so great with patient communication and making me feel personally cared for...25 eggs, 17 mature, 11 fertilized, and 7 day 5 blasts...Strength - the front desk women are always quick/timely. There’s never a wait to check out and they can always help with questions, billing, scheduling etc very professionally. Weakness - the wait times were so variable. Sometimes I’d wait 10min, other times 40min.
How was your experience with Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Dr. Maseelall has been so incredible. I couldn’t imagine a better person to help us through this process. She always explained things in layman’s terms, was candid/frank but always had a solution if there was a problem or an answer to the possible questions. She went out of her way to stop me in the hall on occasion to follow up and make sure I had my questions answered /everything I needed. I am so grateful for Dr. Maseelall and am so happy to have such a great doctor to go back to next time we want to get pregnant.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Trust the process and take everything as it comes — these people really know what they’re doing.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
I definitely feel that Dr. Maseelall did her best despite a naturally busy clinic to be intentional with her tone of voice and wording. She always made me feel welcome and comfortable. The only thing that made me mark one rating away from perfectly human is that there were some visits where the nurse was with me basically the whole time and Dr. Maseelall would pop in for a few seconds to say everything looks fine and ask if I had any questions. Maybe I should have been more prepared with questions written down but often I’d feel like I didn’t have time to think of any questions before she was already back out the door. Again I completely understand that it’s busy and there’s a ton of patients so some of that aspect you can’t really get around.
Describe the protocols Priya Maseelall used in your cycles at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility and their degree of success.
During egg retrieval, I took follistim and menopur daily for 5 days. On the 6th day I started Ganirelix. On day 11 I triggered with Lupron. On day 13 I had my egg retrieval, 35hrs after trigger. I do not know the rationale for those. My body is healthy and fertile so I believe the idea was to keep it simple. We got 25 eggs, 17 mature, 11 fertilized, and 7 day 5 blasts. All 7 were tested genetically normal through PGT-A testing. For embryo transfer, my first transfer in December we used birth control for 10 days, then 6mg Estradiol daily (2mg 3x daily) for about 10 days, then for 5 days leading up to transfer I took 4mg daily of estradiol, 2mL progesterone in oil and I believe 16mg Medrol. Medrol stopped after transfer but progesterone and estradiol continued through the chemical pregnancy. My betas were 6, 23, 43, 37, 5, 0. In February, my second transfer had the same protocol — birth control for 10ish days, then estradiol 3x daily, then 5 days of Medrol, 2x daily estradiol, and 2mL daily of PIO, then after transfer just estradiol and PIO which I am still currently on at 11 weeks pregnant. Hoping to stop meds next week. This current pregnancy has been healthy with a couple of really nice ultrasounds and fetal heart rates to prove it :) I did/do have a subchorionic hematoma. I experienced moderate bleeding at 6 weeks for two days but have had no bleeding since then. From my 6 week ultrasound to my 9 week ultrasound the hematoma clearly decreased in size and showed signs of tissue healing. I was taken off pelvic rest at 9 weeks but am on extra activity restrictions for the duration of my pregnancy (walking and other light forms of exercise only).
Describe your experience with your nurse at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility. (Assigned nurse: Joyce)
I love Joyce. Her voice on the phone is always so comforting and helpful whether it’s good or bad news. She is so great with patient communication and making me feel personally cared for.
Describe your experience with Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
Strength - the flow of bloodwork and appts - it helps the wait time go by when you can get bloodwork done while you’re waiting to see the doctor. Strength - the front desk women are always quick/timely. There’s never a wait to check out and they can always help with questions, billing, scheduling etc very professionally. Weakness - the wait times were so variable. Sometimes I’d wait 10min, other times 40min.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
The total cost of everything we’ve done has probably been about $30,000 worth. Luckily I have some insurance coverage but we have definitely paid at least $7,000 out of pocket due to hitting my out of pocket limit on my insurance both years plus covering additional costs that were not covered by insurance for example the PGTA testing was $4000 out of pocket.
What specific things went wrong at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
  • Lost appointments
  • Failed to call with results
  • Failed to inform you of changes in protocol
Describe the specific things that went wrong at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
Only one time an appt was lost but they were able to fit me in as I showed them the message I was sent confirming the appointment so it was clearly their mistake. One time waiting for a blood test result nobody called by 5pm so I messaged and asked someone to call me. I know sometimes they run behind and call a little later depending on the day but prior to that time I had always been called between 1-3:30. Prior to my second embryo transfer, my paperwork showed changes in dosages of my Progesterone in oil and my Medrol. When I questioned it, they said it was a mistake so it’s a good thing I asked. Lastly, prior to both embryo transfers nobody let us know what embryo was being used. I had to ask / confirm that we were using the best embryo. Maybe they think it’s an understood assumption but from patient’s perspective the embryo is the reason we’re here so the clarification helps put our minds at ease and feel like we know what’s going on.

Dr. Maseelall has been very truthful, honest and open about everything we have gone through...She's never made us feel not worthy of treatment or parenting. She's always encouraged us and given us advice based on what she knows to be "best" for us...she talked to us about using hormones and though I was hesitant, she explained how they could help and that we could try and go from there
I was generally in and out for every ultrasound. I didn't always see [my doctor] for them...[Reproductive Gynecology] strengths are that they don't make you wait too long and can accommodate you as much as they can. Weaknesses would be that they are often times really fast paced and sometimes things can be lost in translation. We're not unhappy with how they communicated but sometimes it was hard to get in touch them.
How was your experience with Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Dr. Maseelall is very energetic and positive. She is compassionate about her patients and what she does day in and day out. Sometimes she moves a little too fast, but she has to! She's never made us feel not worthy of treatment or parenting. She's always encouraged us and given us advice based on what she knows to be "best" for us. We believe she truly cares about her job and her patients.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Be ready with questions. Stay firm on getting answers. Be as open as you can be and you will get everything you need from her. Be your own advocate, but not because she won't help you but because you know yourself best and she can't help if you're not up front about what's going on.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Dr. Maseelall has been very truthful, honest and open about everything we have gone through. She made us feel comfortable from the moment we met with her in the consultation to every single appointment following.
Describe the protocols Priya Maseelall used in your cycles at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility and their degree of success.
The first 3 cycles, she advised we could try "naturally" as we didn't know what my fertility looked like. On paper, she described everything as "good" for fertility. After those 3, she talked to us about using hormones and though I was hesitant, she explained how they could help and that we could try and go from there. We started with Clomid and I responded well to that, but again no results. We then talked about Letrozole and moved to that. Again, no results. At this point we had a consultation about IVF. Me being hesitant, again, she took the time to answer all of my questions about my concerns and my wife and I decided this was the best action. Everything went according to planned, until the genetic testing. She told us this was just "bad luck" and there was no true explanation as to why it didn't work. Dr. M said we can try again, which is where we are currently at in our journey.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility. (Assigned nurse: Jen/Ashley/Joyce)
Everyone within RGI was beyond helpful, compassionate and responsive. They always answered all my questions, no matter how ridiculous they seemed sometimes!

Weaknesses would be that they are often times really fast paced and sometimes things can be lost in translation. Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
I was generally in and out for every ultrasound. I didn't always see Dr. Maseelall for them, it was usually who was at the clinic that was closer in proximity to us on the days that I had to be there.

Most of our consultations were very productive. [Dr. Maseelall] provided us with a lot of information and used visuals to explain things. She took extra time with my husband who wasn't as well versed in the fertility lingo. Weakness is that she moves fast, so sometimes you get news and haven't had the time to process it, but she is already moving towards the next step...
[at Reproductive Gynecology] When there was some concern about my medicine arriving on time the nursing staff was on top of it, and checked in on me to make sure I had what I needed...Weakness - The front desk staff was terrible. Left me waiting for hours in the waiting room (one of the rare days where it was practically empty) and a nurse came out to find me because they were about to cancel my IUI since I "failed to show up."..
How was your experience with Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Most of our consultations were very productive. She provided us with a lot of information and used visuals to explain things. She took extra time with my husband who wasn't as well versed in the fertility lingo. Weakness is that she moves fast, so sometimes you get news and haven't had the time to process it, but she is already moving towards the next step.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Sometimes she is too positive and chipper. This journey has a lot of ups and downs. Most of the time she is the perfect fit, but sometimes when you are down in the dumps you don't want the pick me up.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
I really like that I get to see my doctor at every appointment. She is personable while direct. When there was some concern about my medicine arriving on time the nursing staff was on top of it, and checked in on me to make sure I had what I needed.
Describe the protocols Priya Maseelall used in your cycles at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility and their degree of success.
Not sure which protocol I was on, but is seemed fairly standard, and added in hgh. I didn't get as many eggs as initially expected, but we didn't get nothing. Continued on basically the same protocol with just some minor adjustments through the rounds and got consistent results. While it of course would have been nice to have had more productive rounds, I don't think either party wanted to mess with what was clearly working well enough.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility. (Assigned nurse: Joyce)
Super sweet nurses. All the nurses were very kind, and definitely wanted to be helpful, but I don't think they always showed the level of fertility expertise that you would expect.
Describe your experience with Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
Weakness - The front desk staff was terrible. Left me waiting for hours in the waiting room (one of the rare days where it was practically empty) and a nurse came out to find me because they were about to cancel my IUI since I "failed to show up." When they weren't being snippy and on a power trip to patients they sat there and gossiped. I've noticed a lot of newer friendlier faces at the front desk, so I think this problem is being solved. I haven't seen a poor interaction in weeks.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
The clinic hasn't updated some of their policies or educated staff about some of the newer studies and data that has been released in the infertility world which resulted in them providing me incorrect information about results. Also, there was a change in diagnosis following a spontaneous chemical pregnancy which was not relayed to me as soon as I think it should have been.

Unless out of town, Dr. Maseelall always oversees all aspects of care including preforming all ultrasounds. She gets to know you as a person...[she] was willing to take a chance on us with her mini stim cycle program fully knowing our past results. She has spent lots of time with us reviewing our medical history from our old clinic and talks to us one on one while not at a computer..
During my time at RGI, there have been a lot of new faces in the nursing department and you can tell which ones are getting trained/up to speed on everything...Mini Stim Cycle - $22,500, Meds for 4 cycles $16,000ish, Trio Test $1,000...Their move to their new patient portal app has been great and has made everything much easier on the patient's end. I find that I have less questions now on next steps, etc. Don't be afraid to ask questions and advocate for yourself.
How was your experience with Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Dr. Maseelall has been a breath of fresh air for us. Our old clinic in VA had given up on using my eggs and recommended egg donation. Dr. M was willing to take a chance on us with her mini stim cycle program fully knowing our past results. She has spent lots of time with us reviewing our medical history from our old clinic and talks to us one on one while not at a computer. She is very straightforward but compassionate at the same time. I wish we had been living in Ohio earlier in our TTC process to see her and avoided the year we spent at a large nationwide clinic with offices in the DC/VA area. We currently have one normal embryo frozen and are preparing the transfer.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Don't be afraid to ask questions. She will take the time to answer every single one.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Unless out of town, Dr. Maseelall always oversees all aspects of care including preforming all ultrasounds. She gets to know you as a person. At my previous clinic in VA, I felt like a number and barely saw my doctor.
Describe the protocols Priya Maseelall used in your cycles at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility and their degree of success.
Having a DOR, we opted to do a 3 mini stim cycle program. Knowing we were paying out of pocket, this helped save a little on medication. All cycles used menopur and omitrope with adding in clomid during two of the cycle.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
During my time at RGI, there have been a lot of new faces in the nursing department and you can tell which ones are getting trained/up to speed on everything. I was not assigned a main contact nurse however would text a main number. I had been assigned a nurse at my previous clinic and found it helpful. They did recently switch over to a new patient system and I have found it to be WAY better than their previous system.
Describe your experience with Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
Previously coming from large clinic with numerous locations that is very modern, you should know this is not RGI. It has more of a homely feel to it (it is still very clean, etc.). Their move to their new patient portal app has been great and has made everything much easier on the patient's end. I find that I have less questions now on next steps, etc. Don't be afraid to ask questions and advocate for yourself.

Dr. Nash is the perfect mix of caring, but also efficient...His appointments are very quick, but he will make sure you have your questions answered and feel good about what is going on before he leaves...He did the majority of our monitoring and ultrasounds. The only times we did not see him was if we were scheduled on his off days. We felt like he was there every step of the way, not just important procedure days.
absolutely loved the nursing staff [at Reproductive Gynecology] and their communication efforts. Using Klara made life so much easier. If I ever had a question I would usually have an answer by the end of the day...The receptionists were always warm and welcoming as were the nurses. The girl I scheduled my initial consult with was wonderful. They ordered all my meds for me and made what could have been a super overwhelming process so much easier. I rarely had to ask questions because I feel like all information and instructions were communicated effectively.
How was your experience with David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Dr. Nash is the perfect mix of caring, but also efficient. At our consult I felt like he may have been a little "closed off" in a way in that he was questioning our issues, but as we got to know him throughout our course of treatment, we absolutely loved him. His appointments are very quick, but he will make sure you have your questions answered and feel good about what is going on before he leaves. We actually enjoyed the quick appointments. It meant waiting not even 5 minutes in the waiting room and the examination room before being seen. The man is efficient! There was maybe twice we didn't see him because he was either off that day or sick and we would joke that Dr. Nash must not be here today because we waited for 20+ minutes compared to our usual 5 minutes.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Know that he works fast. He knows what he is looking for at each examine and gets straight to the point, but he will make sure you are taken care of before the appointment is over.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Dr. Nash always warmly greeted us and made an effort to make sure we felt taken care of. He is very quick with his visits, but efficient. We saw doctor Nash 9/10 times. He did the majority of our monitoring and ultrasounds. The only times we did not see him was if we were scheduled on his off days. We felt like he was there every step of the way, not just important procedure days.
Describe the protocols David Nash used in your cycles at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility and their degree of success.
I have a high AMH, but do not have PCOS, so I'm not sure which protocol was used. I can tell you I did a lupron trigger.

Overall, I loved the clinic. The receptionists were always warm and welcoming as were the nurses. The girl I scheduled my initial consult with was wonderful. I rarely had to ask questions because I feel like all information and instructions were communicated effectively.
Describe the costs associated with your care under David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
Total for meds, retrieval, transfer, ICSI, and PGT-A testing was about $24k.
Describe David Nash's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
We were never given the option with 1 vs 2 embryos. With my age and being strictly male factor, I don't think more than 1 was ever an option.

I started off as a SMBC, or single mother by choice with my journey in 2018. In 2019, that changed when I met my husband. Dr. Nash went with the change and congratulated us. Dr. Nash was very good at explaining the risks of all procedures. He listened. He gave us a chance when other clinics dismissed us because of high risk...He set proper expectations. He explained my diagnosis and my husbands diagnosis and why he felt that we pursue IUI and then IVF. He saw us AFTER we concieved, and followed us until 10 weeks when he handed us to our OBGYN
Strengths [of Reproductive Gynecology]: Location, Time, Planned Cycles, Cleanliness, Office Look Weakness: Choosing to implement a new Electronic Medical System in the midst of a pandemic when short-staffed is not wise. Especially with those who have timed cycles. Because then you advised that we wait for a few months while you implement a new system...There was one nurse who was very incompassionate. She even told us "Oh youre going to drive an hour just for a lab test?" when we were bleeding and petrified of another loss. We were like YES!!!! We will

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Be honest with him. Tell him when you don't understand things and ask for clarification. Also, ask lots of questions. He likes that.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Dr. Nash went above and beyond and gave us a chance to have our miracle when all else failed, and everyone else said no. Dr. Nash explained things in depth to us and made sure we understood our risk factors, costs and procedures. Dr. Nash was compassionate. Dr. Nash went above and beyond.
Describe the protocols David Nash used in your cycles at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility and their degree of success.
We started our journey with Clomid. When I failed a Clomid challenge, and didn't ovulate, we went onto Femara. I had trouble with my cycles being regular, so he advised using Provera for a few cycles. We went onto doing a test called a Saline Infusion Ultrasound or HSG/SIS. This makes sure there are no blockages. From there, we went onto Femara with IUI, and the reason was due to the losses, my pcos and endometriosis. When he did my husbands sperm analysis and it came back low motility and count, we went onto IUI's. He explained there was a 70% chance each time. We concieved on time three.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
There was one nurse who was very incompassionate. She even told us "Oh youre going to drive an hour just for a lab test?" when we were bleeding and petrified of another loss. We were like YES!!!! We will. Thankfully we didnt lose our baby, and he is 10 months old now! Other than the one nurse, everyone else was very compassionate and caring.

$200 - Semen Analysis $150 - Consult, Lab Work Fully Covered by Insurance, $200 for Shot in Office, The IUI was covered in full with prior auth to insurance. Dr. Maseelall seemed very interested in learning about our experiences causing us to seek infertility treatment. She also was helpful and patient when explaining processes and with questions we had...[She] seemed very adamant that only single embryo transfers are the best. Can completely understand why, when the risk of miscarriage is higher otherwise, along with other complications.
They [Reproductive Gynecology] were quick to contact us back and schedule an appointment. Due to the corona virus quarantine rules we had to do a virtual appointment but the office personell were awesome in calling us and making sure we were up to date on our appointment and making sure our doctor had all the information she needed...The nursing staff seemed eager to help with appointment setups, any questions we had, just overall very friendly
How was your experience with Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
I liked how friendly she was. I've only seen her once, so I can't say much else besides I wouldn't mind seeing her again and getting better aquainted. It is too soon for me to give an honest critique for her, as my opinion could change upon knowing Dr. Maseelall better, but I felt comfortable around her.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Write down any questions you want to remember to ask! Keep a notebook handy, it makes it easier for both doctor and patient.

Describe your experience with Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
Following the surgery at the hospital I was advised to contact this clinic. They were quick to contact us back and schedule an appointment. Due to the corona virus quarantine rules we had to do a virtual appointment but the office personell were awesome in calling us and making sure we were up to date on our appointment and making sure our doctor had all the information she needed. Our first virtual appointment went smoothly with the doctor showing compassion for all we had went through and giving us hope that we could still have children. Once we went to the clinic for our first round of testing we found the clinic clean and the personnel friendly. We are now waiting for our second virtual appointment with the doctor.

She [Dr. Priya Maseelall] is very compassionate and kind and thorough. She thoroughly reviewed my chart and cane up with a plan to help us. After the failed first transfer, she orders a ERA and then sat down and spoke with us about the results and what was next...so welcoming and kind and addresses me by name and have compassion when then they are treating me.
Initial consult appointment [at Reproductive Gynecology] is very long, but once you get going into treatment, they are a well oiled machine. I love the handouts and details instructions. For blood draws and lining checks you hardly wait at all, 10 minutes tops. The procedures were all done right at the clinic and the embryo transfer was awesome...I haven’t had one bad experience with anyone at RGI.
How was your experience with Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
She is very compassionate and kind and thorough. She thoroughly reviewed my chart and cane up with a plan to help us. After the failed first transfer, she orders a ERA and then sat down and spoke with us about the results and what was next. She also reduced the amount the test was to help us with money. She also said I am first in line when they open again since my second Transfer was cancelled two days before it was to happen due to covid-19
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Feel open to ask questions, she is great at answering in a direct and easy to understand way.

Dr. Maseelall and her staff is so welcoming and kind and addresses me by name and have compassion when then they are treating me.
Describe the protocols Priya Maseelall used in your cycles at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility and their degree of success.
I have recurrent miscarriage due to thrombophilia, mthfr factor v Leiden and my husband has low sperm count. We did estradiol, steroid, baby aspirin, PIO shots and a steroid to prep before transfer. For my husband it was ivf with ICSI and pgs testing. For my diagnostics I had lots of blood panels and thyroids stuff, some saline test, hysterioscopy, and ERA test.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility. (Assigned nurse: Michelle Adkins)
Love them all, very kind and nice. Especially Kathleen is so kind. She has helped me a lot and was the one who called me with results of failed transfer. She was very compassionate about the loss. I haven’t had one bad experience with anyone at RGI.

Describe the costs associated with your care under Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
$14,000 for egg retrieval and ivf with ICSI and pgs testing and one transfer. Meds were $2800. Then ERA test $750. Then second frozen embryo transfer is $3500. We did not qualify for their baby guarantee program because I have had more than two miscarriages.

[Dr. Priya Maseelall] She takes care of you first to make sure you are healthy and safe before anything else. She did tests on me to make sure I was in a spot to at least start IUI. We went over a plan and goals...My left ovary is working the best so we are able to get the lost eggs from that side, my first two iuis were not successful. 3rd we changed the dose of letrozole and got 2 eggs
[Reproductive Gynecology] called me right away even to make sure I understood blood work and procedures coming up. She was there for me...[staff]I don’t feel like a number, they take their time to work things out with me. Always fit me in for scheduling and make sure they can get me in when I need to...They can bill clinical things through my insurance but not fertility. She just charges me for ultrasounds and the the actual IUI. When I have got lab work the outside company is always reasonable
How was your experience with Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
She is very smart! She knows what she’s doing and she knows the plan of action to take. She takes care of you first to make sure you are healthy and safe before anything else. She did tests on me to make sure I was in a spot to at least start IUI. We went over a plan and goals. I felt like she knew my wishes to have a second child through IUI and helped me in that journey.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Just keep an open heart and open mind the fertility journey can be gut wrenching but the staff has always been there for me
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
She made sure she took her time to help me with my wishes

My left ovary is working the best so we are able to get the lost eggs from that side, my first two iuis were not successful. 3rd we changed the dose of letrozole and got 2 eggs but it ended in a ectopic. I felt happy I know I can get pregnant but now I think my only option going forward is IVF
Describe your experience with your nurse at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility. (Assigned nurse: Jen)
She called me right away even to make sure I understood blood work and procedures coming up. She was there for me with I found out my pregnancy was ectopic and was compassionate
Describe your experience with Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
They are really good about scheduling, I never wait long. They work out payments ask if you want to pay anything toward your balance. I don’t feel like a number, they take their time to work things out with me. Always fit me in for scheduling and make sure they can get me in when I need to! Even met me at the office on Easter Sunday to make sure I got a blood draw that day. I call their office they rerun the call instantly.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
Here price is the same every time for self pay, I know what to expect when I got in there. They can bill clinical things through my insurance but not fertility. She just charges me for ultrasounds and the the actual IUI. When I have got lab work the outside company is always reasonable

In 2017, one round of clomid plus iui [with Dr. Maseelall] resulted in our daughter's birth. In 2019 started iui again, 3 rounds of clomid, about 3 eggs ready per cycle, she waits until one is at least 16mm. Then one round of letrozole (one follicle). Then gonadotropins gonal f 150 for 2 rounds, I overstimulated with 7 follicles then 100 gonal f for 2 more rounds. All with negative pregnancy tests. Now she is recommending ivf.
office [of Reproductive Gynecology] was run like you are a number, very busy, can never reach anyone in person on the phone, you always have to leave a message and wait for a call back...Jen [nurse] was awesome always answered my questions and was very compassionate...They told me my hsg test would be covered when it was not but they made it right by giving me a discount for some of it.

Describe your experience with your nurse at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility. (Assigned nurse: Jen)
Jen was awesome always answered my questions and was very compassionate. Tried to get me the best deal on my meds and get the most use out of them.
Describe your experience with Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
Front office staff is very friendly. Be prepared to rarely get anyone on the phone, always leave messages and they will call you back. That part is very frustrating for someone who works and can't always answer their phone.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
Iui was 600. 200 for each monitoring appt, 2 per cycle with clomid, 3 with gonal f. Gonal f cost about $700 per month
Describe Priya Maseelall's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
She will only do a single embryo transfer for me since I am 31. This is a problem for us doing ivf because we don't want to have left over frozen embryos. I found another Dr that would transfer 2 for me.

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
Doctor [Maseelall] explained up front our best result would be IVF and with male infertility explained best result would be ICSI. My drug protocol was never changed for my retrieval. However after a failed transfer we took many months to get things “just right” for a second transfer. We tried oral estrogen, shots, progesterone and finally ended at a natural cycle. I ended with a positive pregnancy on my second transfer...she is calm, patient and keeps you in the know at all processes. Ideally I wish she didn’t seem so rushed to the next patient but understand she’s got to see the next patient....
The office [Reproductive Gynecology] is busy, extremely busy so often we waited 20-30 min utes past our appointment time just to be taken back...Too many appointments scheduled at one time. Ended up finding out it was first come first seen basis...Multiple IVF nurses. At times felt they were just as rushed, but overall always friendly...On one occasion had mixed information provided about drug protocol...Be prepared to wait....

Multiple IVF nurses. At times felt they were just as rushed, but overall always friendly.
Describe your experience with Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
Bigger waiting room. Make the facility handicap accessible. We often had to wait even longer for an exam room that had a table that would raise/lower. Everyone is super friendly and makes you feel welcome
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
Too many appointments scheduled at one time. Ended up finding out it was first come first seen basis. However doesn’t work when i’m waiting for an accessible exam room
Describe the costs associated with your care under Priya Maseelall at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
For semen analysis, embryo retrieval and two transfers we have paid ballpark $15k out of pocket. Does not include costs my insurance had covered
Describe Priya Maseelall's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
Being 36 and cost being such a factor, i wish it was ultimately up to the patient on deciding on single vs multiple embryo transfer. Her office will only do single embryo transfers
