Although illume has many doctors that I see for my morning monitoring and egg retrievals that rotate, every time I see Dr. Ressler I am more than happy with our interactions. I also trust that behind the scenes she is handling my case very well and her and her colleagues are diligently working on my team.

You will not always see Dr. Ressler at your appointments because the doctors rotate but I have trusted all of the doctors involved in my care for monitoring, procedures and follow up.

Describe the protocols Ilana Ressler used in your cycles at Illume Fertility (The Fertility Partners Network clinic) and their degree of success.

Strategy included creating genetic probes for my embryos and starting as soon as possible because of my high risk for diminished ovarian reserve. We also regulated my cycle with estrace and did a trigger shot to force ovulation before my first cycle because of my breakthrough follice on birth control. She also fought for me to do a second round of ivf after the first genetic embryo results weren’t what we expected, again due to my increased risk of diminished ovarian reserve.

Describe your experience with your nurse at Illume Fertility (The Fertility Partners Network clinic). (Assigned nurse: Alexis)

I am satisfied with the nursing care but not overly thrilled about the care I receive via telephone which is a large part of ivf. On the other hand I absolutely love the nurses I have had experiences with for my egg retrievals they were so compassionate and wonderful to me. One of the nurses came in to the second retrieval with me just to hold my hand because I was so nervous.

I am not certain why the clinic uses eSET, I was taught about the approach but not the rationale of using that vs. Multiple. My best guess would be the high risk associated with a pregnancy of multiples.

After my second retrieval they didn’t call with fertilization results when they were in, I had to call and ask for the results the next day. I was told it was an error in entering dates in the computer, I received all the other embryo results on time.

Dr Hurwitz was the first doctor to tell me “I’m sorry you are going through this” - he has compassion and while he didn’t give me the news I was hoping for (less than 5 % chance I’ll conceive with my own eggs) he did tell me he would fight and that’s what him and his staff have done

I have undetectable levels for AMH and extremely high FSH. Clinics have repeatedly told me they wouldn’t perform IVF because my body wouldn’t respond. We did an IUI cycle with ivf injectables (450 of Gonal) once a day for 18 days. I’d have an ultrasound every other day and there was a tiny follicle on my left ovary growing slowly but surely. They didn’t give up, when insurance wouldn’t send the refills fast enough, the staff would give me samples to take home to not miss a night. Finally the follicle grew to 17 and I triggered with ovidrel and they did back to back IUIs on Sunday and Monday. In my TWW now, I am meeting with them to discuss donor eggs next because I feel if this didn’t work we did everything we could have

I was put on an antagonist protocol [by Dr. Shaun Williams] for my IVF cycle which resulted in 19 eggs retrieved with 15 mature and 100 percent fertilization rate. Then we only ended up with 2 embryos which were both graded B’s. It was very frustrating to only have 2 embryos in which neither worked. I was having symptoms of OHSS after retrieval so he recommended a freeze all and do a frozen transfer

The practice [RMA of CT- Trumball] has 6 doctors and 4 offices across the state so if you are looking for a personal experience this is not the place for you. ... Morning monitoring was between 7-8am everyday but sometimes you would wait a long time because it was first come first serve. If you have to be in work at a certain time this could pose a problem.... The nurses are not very detail oriented and they leave almost everything up the doctors. I feel they do the minimum amount and don’t reach out to you first.

Very good bed side manner and very compassionate but I feel as though he was so busy he did not take the time to research our case and get to the bottom of a diagnosis. I understand sometimes it is truly unexplained infertility but we have been trying to conceive for 3 years and we still have no answers. He always remained very positive about us and our future but the outcome was always different.

There are 6 doctors in the practice so I saw a different one all the time and it was never very personal.

-Clomid (no response) so added femara: IUI 1: negative test -Femara and follistim: IUI 2: positive test, miscarriage at 9 weeks (chromosome abnormality) -Femara and follistim: negative test - IVF with menopur, other injectables (names?) 19 eggs retrieved 7 normal embryos after PGS testing that are frozen Transferring one TOMORROW!

You never expect to be in this position, but RMACT does a great job at making you feel comfortable and hopeful in making a family. I really don’t have anything negative to say about the practice except I wish they were located in my town! Lots of very early mornings gets tough, but I remind myself it’s worth it.

I came to Dr. Williams with a balanced translocation and he uncovered PCOS as well which meant I would have difficulty keeping a pregnancy if I was so lucky as to achieve it to begin with considering I did not ovulate regularly. He didn't push me into IVF and allowed me to make the decision for myself. I could go forward with an IUI armed with the knowledge that I might miscarry or go to IVF with genetic testing of the embryos prior to transfer. I felt supported completely with whatever decision I made and eventually chose to do IVF which I'm so grateful that I did.

They treat the whole patient and offer so many services which I utilized! I like the holistic approach and used yoga and acupuncture. I also attended a few free events which helped me through my treatment. They have great rates for my age group. I also found the staff to be very friendly and understanding when I had difficulty scheduling an appointment. Whenever I saw a different doctor for monitoring, I felt like even though they didn't consult with me prior that they cared about me.

It was first come first serve. I sometimes had to wait 10-20 minutes to be seen but usually only on the busy days like Monday mornings. They were quick, in and out appointments however I never felt rushed if I had additional questions that day.

I compared pricing for the services that I needed since I needed IVF and PGS testing. They were the most reasonably pricing considering I was a self pay patient. They also offered the only self pay IVF packages that included medications, too. Some facilities made me feel like they were the cheaper option because they had a lower quote but what they don't tell you (and I wouldn't have known if I didn't dig deeper) is that they didn't include meds which added thousands! In the end, RMA was the cheapest option.

We used an egg donor and a separate gestational carrier. Both were given hormones prior to their procedures to optimize their biology. The egg donor went in for egg retrieval. I provided a sperm sample. After the embryos were created, we waited a few days. Of the best embryos, Dr. Williams chose two. He implanted them into the carrier. This resulted in one baby. The process was repeated again for a second baby two years later.

Dr. Hurwitz took the time to talk to my husband and I and get to know us and our situation. While our insurance allowed for timed ovulation induction with timed intercourse, due to my age and amount of time ttc, he [Dr. Shaun Williams] recommended going straight to iui. First round was not successful, however we will be moving to a second...He really took the time to explain things to me as well as listen to my concerns...He was kind and positive while being realistic. He did not sugar coat things either. He supplied me with what he thought were the best options and got the process moving as soon as possible.he described each procedure in detail .

Linda [nurse at RMA of Connecticut] was amazing. I was so annoying, constantly emailing her questions and concerns. She answered me on weekends, holidays and after hours...Weaknesses- it can be difficult to reach the front desk. Financial team seems a bit scatterbrained. The nurses are amazing and the physician assistant and phlebotomists were four stars!! Dr. Williams also took the time to answer any of my questions even if I kept asking them in a different way. He was patient with me and try to give me the best outcome. Sometime, I wished I heard the worst as well.... As a patient, he made me feel optimistic. He was soft spoken and had good bedside manners. He believe he tried to give me the best Opportunity and chance I had. I never thought he sugar coded anything.

Morning bloodwork was by fist come first sever, some days were good and some days were busy. There’s free yoga classes and support groups offered. I meet some really good people there. Office [RMA] was nice, clean and professional... The nurse and patient coordinator were easy to contact either by phone or via email. When ever I have a question or concern they would get back to me the same day... I had some paper given to one office and went missing a couple of times

Dr Williams treated me for a large fibroid tumor and severe endometriosis through meds and surgery when needed to deal with pain. Now that I am trying to get pregnant he started fairly aggressively with treatment to up my chances...They have truly been awesome through several surgeries and procedures that I have had over the last 6 years. Dr Williams has an awesome bedside manner and has never treated me as if I was crazy as other doctors did prior to me endometriosis and tumor diagnosis...Dr Williams is always great about following up with me no matter the hours when I am having an issue
