Attention to Detail

Attention to detail is on a 1 - 10 scale, and is scored based on the rate, and severity, of errors committed by the clinic according to the patients.

For example, a severe error might be failing to inform a patient of critical information, while a small error might be failing to call a patient with results.

CDC Success Rates

This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.

For more information please see our FAQs.

Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.

[Dr. Esposito] manages our IVF cycle...prescribes and adjust the fertility drugs...does/has not perform(ed) any of the procedures...we currently have one frozen embryo. My wife's cancer diagnosis requires constant communication with her oncologist...responsive to planning a course of action that balances achieving our pregnancy goals with urgency of seeking a positive outcome and prognosis from the cancer treatment.
Communication is done through a patient portal...there is a lot of room for missed communications and miscommunication...We do not feel Shady Grove did an adequate job of preparing us for what was to come...had the wrong phone number in my records...After claiming to correct the error, it continued...took nearly 6 months to notify us about masses in my wife's uterus...later determine to be cancerous.
How was your experience with Melissa Esposito at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
Dr. Espisito is the doctor who manages our IVF cycle. She prescribes and adjust the fertility drugs during a cycle. She does/has not perform(ed) any of the procedures (egg retrieval, diagnostics or implantation). Under Dr. Espisito's guidance, we currently have one frozen embryo. My wife's cancer diagnosis requires constant communication with her oncologist as the IVF treatments progress. She has been responsive to planning a course of action that balances achieving our pregnancy goals with urgency of seeking a positive outcome and prognosis from the cancer treatment.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Melissa Esposito at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
After the initial consultation with Dr. Esposito, be prepared to go through the communication "firewall" put in place by Shady Grove. Communication is done through a patient portal. Each patient has an assigned nurse, but there is a lot of room for missed communications and miscommunication. This can be frustrating. The corporate communication structure is beyond the doctor's control, but one should be aware of it.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Melissa Esposito at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
Dr. Espisito is very pleasant, but occasionally seems rushed.
Describe the protocols Melissa Esposito used in your cycles at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania and their degree of success.
The treatment protocols have been fairly standard in terms of medication and dosing. The lone adjustment was a prescription to maintain hormone levels that agree with the cancer treatment. Adjustments to the dosing were made after each diagnostic test (blood work and ultrasound).
Describe your experience with your nurse at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania. (Assigned nurse: Tracy then Rachel)
Simply, they are great.
Describe your experience with Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
The paperwork to start an IVF cycle can be overwhelming. Also, the emotional roller-coaster that is IVF is a challenge. We do not feel Shady Grove did an adequate job of preparing us for what was to come. However, once enrolled in a program, the clinic visits for diagnostic testing and egg retrieval have always been a positive experience.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Melissa Esposito at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
All out of pocket. IVF is prohibitively expensive.
What specific things went wrong at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
  • Failed to call with results
  • Provided conflicting information
  • Failed to convey critical information
Describe the specific things that went wrong at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
They had the wrong phone number in my records. Went several months without hearing back from them. After claiming to correct the error, it continued. It took nearly 6 months to notify us about masses in my wife's uterus. These weer later determine to be cancerous.

Every discussion we had [with Dr. Connell] felt like it was tailored to me. It was not just another phone call reading off the script. He spoke to me with details based on me and my treatment. He also gave me realistic goals for myself throughout treatment... I had multiple calls directly from him going over important updates and when I asked to speak to him directly, it was always made to happen immediately. I never waited more than an hour or two to get a direct call back from him or transferred to him immediately. That made me feel very important as his patient...
Shady Grove is a well oiled machine that runs smoothly and efficiently. I like the offices cleanliness and they are up to date. All nurses and front desk staff I’ve encountered have been very pleasant and helpful when needed...she’s [nurse] been the most helpful and informational part of my team! She has excellent patient care and is very compassionate whenever I needed. She was completely on top of every task regarding my protocols and when I needed things done quickly regarding meds, it was done immediately and always done right. I never have an unanswered question and feel totally comfortable in her care.
How was your experience with Matthew Connell at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
As we are still in the middle of treatment, I can’t say of course that all expectations have been met. I can say I feel confident in his opinion and treatment to get myself and my husband there. I had multiple calls directly from him going over important updates and when I asked to speak to him directly, it was always made to happen immediately. I never waited more than an hour or two to get a direct call back from him or transferred to him immediately. That made me feel very important as his patient. He also was eager to answer any and every question I asked him honestly and fully. I always felt like I was heard and that he never let me go with any unanswered questions. The only negative is that I have not gotten to have appointments with him in person I assume due to locations. But with the way he responds, it does almost feel like I’ve met with him before!
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Matthew Connell at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
Trust him with your treatment as he’s made the necessary changes when something did not work for us to make it better and ask all of the questions so he can make you feel more comfortable!

Every discussion we had felt like it was tailored to me. It was not just another phone call reading off the script. He spoke to me with details based on me and my treatment. He also gave me realistic goals for myself throughout treatment and I never felt like “just another” patient when speaking to him
Describe the protocols Matthew Connell used in your cycles at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania and their degree of success.
For IVF egg retrieval: Birth control pill leading up to stimulation - reduce risk of cysts and regulate cycle timing Prep of eggs to help stimulate multiple follicle growth - Menopur (75-225IU) Follistim/Gonal-F (25-300IU) Prevent ovulation until retrieval ready - Cetrotide/Ganirelix Ovulation induction - Lupron Slow and steady medication dosing seemed to have my body respond the best (Menopur 150IU and Gonal-F 75IU) My first egg retrieval did not yield the results we expected so he adjusted dosing for my second retrieval which was more successful!
Describe your experience with your nurse at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania. (Assigned nurse: Lauryn)
I have nothing bad to say of my primary nurse, Lauryn, as she’s been the most helpful and informational part of my team! She has excellent patient care and is very compassionate whenever I needed. Of course IVF comes at no small cost, but Dr Connell gave us all of our options and did explain each of them in detail and what he felt would be best for us.

Dr. Nguyen is very compassionate, soft spoken and kind. She seems to genuinely care about her patients. She will answer any questions you have and re-answer in another way if you do not understand. As she is a doctor, she has to be precautions and weigh the risk of certain things, which can be frustrating if you do not agree with the course of action...
The monitoring appointments were from 7 AM to 9:15 AM. I found that if you call with enough days notice you could get the exact slot that you needed to fit your schedule...Altogether we spent approximately $30,000...Shadygrove has an amazing Group of team members. They are all skilled in their specific areas and are very knowledgeable. The doctors and nurses are very good at walking you through each procedure and protocol, step-by-step.

Advocate for yourself. Some times your gut feeling and your wants outweigh “studies.”
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Kara Khanh-Ha Nguyen at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
Everyone at Shady Grove in Mechanicsburg treated me like I was one of them. We were on first name basis after several visits. I would walk in the door and they would greet me by my name, “Hi, Megan. I’ll get you checked in.” I felt like I was at home in a way.
Describe the protocols Kara Khanh-Ha Nguyen used in your cycles at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania and their degree of success.
The first 5 months we used Clomid and letrozole to help aid in pregnancy, which was not successful. I did also use estrace tablets both vaginally and by mouth I decided to skip IUI and move straight to IVF. We continued with the treatment plan to retrieve my eggs. I then did estradiol injections every 3 days. After the first transfer they added progesterone injections daily. I’m still currently using both
Describe your experience with your nurse at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania. (Assigned nurse: Lauryn Howe)
I felt my nurse was by far the best communicator. She was really wonderful and prompt with responding to emails. Lauryn was caring and kind. She was always on top of her game. Hands down the best experience I had at Shady Grove was working with Lauryn!! The nursing staff, to include the front desk staff, the phlebotomist, and the ultrasound technicians, were all fantastic! I truly enjoyed seeing them all at each visit. I compare my Shady Grove staff members in Mechanicsburg to the staff at Chick-fil-A. They are always kind and so helpful!

How was your experience with Kara Khanh-Ha Nguyen at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
We like Dr. Nguyen because we got pregnant! In the first meeting, she lays out the pros and cons of IVF. She informs us of sufficient information about IVF, which helps us to decide to embark on this journey. During the treatment, she is the brain behind every step. There are clear instructions for us at every stage. More importantly, she educates us on the reason why we are doing it This helps us to go through many injections and pills. The whole process is very efficient. She did not let us waste any time. The retrietval to transfer processes are well-timed and well planned. We get a positive pregnancy result even earlier than we expected. In summary, if you choose to have Dr. Nguyen as your fertility doctor, you are in good hands. The drawback is that the whole process lacks human interaction, which may be due to COVID-19. Thus, if you plan to have IVF treatment in Shady grove fertility center, you need to prepare yourself to learn how to communicate mainly through the patient portals and messaging system. With that being said, the result is the most important. We feel that Shady Grove fertility and Dr. Nguyen offers efficient, professional, expert, and result-driven medical services to a couple that dreams of having a baby of their own.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Kara Khanh-Ha Nguyen at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
If you plan to have IVF treatment in Shady grove fertility center, you need to prepare yourself to learn how to communicate mainly through the patient portals and messaging system. Also, you need to follow the doctor's instructions closely no matter how hard it is.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Kara Khanh-Ha Nguyen at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
The whole IVF process at Shady Grove Fertility Center is very efficient. I am instructed to do everything clearly, and I am well informed about the reason for doing so. However, all communication is through the patient portal. I have limited interaction with my doctor and nurses in person. This may be due to COVID-19. Thus, it could be not a typical situation that future patients will experience. In general, all my questions and appointment requests are efficiently handled by messaging the nurse and the doctor. The final result is good.
Describe the protocols Kara Khanh-Ha Nguyen used in your cycles at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania and their degree of success.
She gave me birth control pills to regulate the period. Then she gives Gonal Rff pens to grow multiple eggs at the same time. Then I have a trigger shot before the egg retrieval. After egg retrieval, we have embryo testing to eliminate unviable embryos. Then she froze the embryos. Meanwhile, I am getting shots for preparing the uterus linings. Once it was ready, we had embryo transfer, which results in a positive pregnancy.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania. (Assigned nurse: Darien)
I am very impressed by Mindy who is my ultrasound technician. She shows so much patience and compassion to me when I had an episode of subchorionic hemorrhage bleeding after being pregnant. I was terrified and sad. She is a really good technician who can quickly locate the baby and ovaries. When I met her in the clinic, she immediately confirmed the viability of the baby and heartbeat. Also, she reassured me that it was normal and no need to be over-stressed. She also kindly allowed me to schedule a couple of follow-up ultrasounds that tracked the growth of the baby. She always patiently explain to me the meaning of each measurement on the screen and offered me some advice on how to pick a prenatal team. We deeply appreciate her help throughout the whole process.
Describe your experience with Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
Shady Grove Fertility clinic provides expert, professional, efficient, and result-driven medical services to couples who dream about having their own babies. The weakness is that the whole process lacks human interaction. All communication is handled through the patient portal. There is very limited doctor-patient consultation and face-to-face time.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Kara Khanh-Ha Nguyen at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
About $27500 without medication, which is about $5000.
Describe Kara Khanh-Ha Nguyen's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
I agree with single embryo transfer. It is good for both mother and baby.

How was your experience with Melissa Esposito at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Esposito. She validated my feelings of despair, allowed me to cry it out then explained how she could help. She gave me the science behind everything which is what I needed and together we came up with a plan that everyone was comfortable with. Even though I didn't see her for most of my monitoring sessions, I know she was following my progress and even personally called to let me know my IVF cycle was canceled due to COVID 19. I know that couldn't have been easy for her. I left my consult with hope. During timed intercourse she adjusted my medication as needed and explained everything. I felt well taken care of!
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Melissa Esposito at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
Be open and honest with her about your goals and what you are comfortable doing. She was customize your treatment for you but will take your feelings and desires into consideration.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Melissa Esposito at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
When my husband and I had our consult, we had just suffered our third miscarriage with no previous live births. Achieving our dream of building a family together seemed so hopeless. We had been trying for over 2 years. Dr. Esposito let me cry and explained how she could help us. She was so positive she could help us achieve our goal and explained the whole process to us including our options. I left that appointment with more hope than I expected and I felt like she was on our team, fighting beside us.
Describe the protocols Melissa Esposito used in your cycles at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania and their degree of success.
I did 3 cycles of timed intercourse using Letrozole. The first cycle I did 5mg for 5 days. My follicles didn't respond so I was given Clomid for 5 days. I then had an over response. For the next 2 cycles I alternated 5mg and 7.5mg for a total of 5 days. That seemed to be the right dosage for me because by cycle day 10 or 11 I was ready for my trigger shot. My body responded well to everything, the follicles grew as they were supposed to but none of the cycles ended with a pregnancy. After speaking with Dr. Esposito we decided to go straight to IVF. We were getting ready to start our first IVF cycle when it got canceled due to COVID 19.

I actually only had one cycle with Dr. Nguyen. She upped the dosage of clomid and put me immediately on progesterone after my iui. I became pregnant with that iui... I loved that Dr. Nguyen said it cannot hurt to take the progesterone - we won’t waste that week following your Iui. It could have been the missing link to those three failed iuis with the previous practice!...took a more aggressive approach and I actually did get pregnant with my first iui cycle!! Unfortunately, I lost my precious little one at 12 weeks. I am about to start up treatment again and had a second consultation with Dr. Nguyen. She was very supportive. I’m hopeful, but it looks like maybe IVF makes the most sense for us... unfortunately we cannot afford it... so we will probably try Iui again! I have been very pleased with everyone at Shady Grove.
I have no complaints at all [about Shady Grove Fertility of Philadelphia]. The clinic is nice and clean. There are lots of locations. The portal was very helpful to keep track of appointments and to email your team with questions. It has all been a very pleasant experience...I have been very pleased with everyone at Shady Grove...She [nurse] was on the ball with everything and took the time to talk to me and answer my questions always. She would always call me back if she missed my call. She just really made things easier. Sadly, Morgan is going to a new practice so I will have a new nurse when I begin treatment again.
How was your experience with Kara Khanh-Ha Nguyen at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
Dr. Nguyen explained everything in a way to help me understand a little better and she took plenty of time to answer my questions. Also, after I lost my pregnancy, Dr. Nguyen called me to check on me which I appreciated so much. She let me know they were here for me when I was ready to start up again. I was having a tough time with my schedule (when I decided to go for my second consultation) and Dr. Nguyen actually agreed to have my second consultation over the phone. I just really think the world of her ... actully all of the doctors that I’ve met at Shady Grove were great!
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Kara Khanh-Ha Nguyen at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
Dr. Nguyen has been so incredibly sweet and helpful during this stressful time. I went to a different practice originally and was pretty unhappy. I took a little break and decided to go for a consultation at Shady Grove. Dr. Nguyen took a more aggressive approach and I actually did get pregnant with my first iui cycle!! I was lucky in that my insurance covered the iui. I just To fulfill my co pays until I reached my out of pocket max. Ivf, however, is not covered and I am waiting to hear from someone from finance to go over prices. One positive thing is the ivf, I believe, is guaranteed and if you do not conceive, I believe you are reimbursed. I need to fully confirm that but that is what I heard on the radio advertisement for sgf.
Describe Kara Khanh-Ha Nguyen's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
I just loved that Dr. Nguyen didn’t waste any time and she took all precautions for me. The previous practice I went to tested my blood the week following iui to decide whether or not I would need progesterone ... my levels were good after my first iui so they never put me on progesterone and never tested me again. I loved that Dr. Nguyen said it cannot hurt to take the progesterone - we won’t waste that week following your Iui. It could have been the missing link to those three failed iuis with the previous practice!

Dr. Kara Nguyen is super nice and has such a sweet personality. She took time to make sure we understood our diagnosis and upcoming procedure. She was very compassionate and caring throughout the whole process.... When we went for our initial consultation she took a lot of time to explain my low amh results...My doctor strongly encouraged only transferring 1 embryo. We didn't even really have the option of transferring multiple.
One thing I didn't like was that all the financial counselors are located in their [Shady Grove] Rockville, MD office. It would have been nice to talk to someone in person which used to be the case. Also, the financial counselors seemed overwhelmed and were often slow in getting back to you....The nursing staff was great! Tracey always had a protocol and schedule for me which was very helpful and easy to follow. She would also call each day of my monitoring appointments and explain results and what to do next.
How was your experience with Kara Khanh-Ha Nguyen at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
Dr. Kara Nguyen is a very caring and compassionate Dr. When we went for our initial consultation she took a lot of time to explain my low amh results. I told her I wanted to be pregnant before the end of summer (consultation was in April) and she said we can do that. I still felt skeptical and scared to get my hopes up after almost 4 years of infertility but she delivered on that (got my positive pregnancy test in August). Also when my fresh transfer got cancelled and changed to a freeze all because of my progesterone level before my retrieval, I cried and she called me to make sure I understood why and make sure I was okay. Also, when she called to tell me I was pregnant, I could tell she was genuinely happy and excited for me.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Kara Khanh-Ha Nguyen at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
Don't be afraid to go and do a consultation. I know a IVF sounds really scary but Dr. Kara Nguyen will explain everything and have a plan for you. Don't be afraid to ask questions!
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Kara Khanh-Ha Nguyen at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
Dr. Kara Nguyen is super nice and has such a sweet personality. She took time to make sure we understood our diagnosis and upcoming procedure. She was very compassionate and caring throughout the whole process.
Describe the protocols Kara Khanh-Ha Nguyen used in your cycles at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania and their degree of success.
We first tried 1 IUI because my insurance covered it. We were skeptical it would work due to my husband's low count and wondered if it was worth trying but also nervous about going straight to IVF. Dr. Kara Nguyen said it wouldn't hurt to try one IUI and the ultrasounds and bloodwork from that would be helpful in planning the IVF so it wouldn't be a complete waste if it didn't work. IUI cycle we did 100 mg Clomid on cycle days 3-7 and were supposed to do the trigger shot of Ovidrel on day 10 but that got pushed back until day 13 because of follicle size. Received negative pregnancy test after IUI. Started IVF on next cycle. Birth control pills for 15 days, Lupron (2.8cc) and birth control pills for 3 days, Lupron for 9 days, Follistim 300iU and Menopur 75iU for 14 days then Trigger shot and Egg Retrieval. My Follistim and Menopur ended up getting adjusted and my egg retrieval was pushed back because my follicles were growing slower and they wanted to have as many mature as possible. Also my progesterone got too high during the end of my stims so my cycle was switched to a freeze all and then an FET for the best chance of implantation.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania. (Assigned nurse: Tracey)
The nursing staff was great! Tracey always had a protocol and schedule for me which was very helpful and easy to follow. She would also call each day of my monitoring appointments and explain results and what to do next.
Describe your experience with Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
The new facility Shady Grove moved into in Mechanicsburg, PA is really nice. One thing I didn't like was that all the financial counselors are located in their Rockville, MD office. It would have been nice to talk to someone in person which used to be the case. Also, the financial counselors seemed overwhelmed and were often slow in getting back to you. One thing that I liked was their Shared Help program which gives a discount on ivf treatment based on income. Also, they have a shared risk program where you can do up to 6 ivf cycles including FET's and cryopreservation for 1 price and if you don't take home a baby from the hospital you get your money back.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Kara Khanh-Ha Nguyen at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
IUI was covered by my insurance but cost about $180. IVF shared risk (up to 6 cycles including cryopreservation and FET's) after income discount was $16,500. IVF medications were about $4,600.
Describe Kara Khanh-Ha Nguyen's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
My doctor strongly encouraged only transferring 1 embryo. We didn't even really have the option of transferring multiple. I think it depends on your diagnosis, but the explanation I was given was that transferring multiple didn't really increase the chance of implantation but it did increase the risk of multiples which would be a high risk pregnancy.

When I first met [Dr. Melissa] Espositto I felt like I was at the right place & she made me feel like family. I will be forever thankful for all she did to help us achieve one of our dreams of having a child. She was compassionate & caring from the beginning & throughout all my bad experiences. I just wish from the start some things would of been mentioned about doing like pgs testing & ERA biopsy not at the end when I had practically used all my embryos. It was nice when she would call me before a transfer & wish me good luck but towards the end it was always communicating w the nurse.
Sometimes this clinic [Shady Grove-Harrisburg] is extremely busy so don't expect to be in & out in 30min. Always ask questions to make sure you are all on same page. Front desk could be more knowledgeable. There was a few times I was there & asked hey wasn't I supposed to have this done today. Then they were like hold on let me check & would come back in to say yeah you are right.

I am currently trying yet for another baby but unfortunately have to start over from a retrieval & switched drs due to I feel abandoned by her now. I know she is a great dr but for some reason she refuses to call me or maybe the nurse isn't asking her to. She has been a blessing to me but I have a new dr now that I hope will give it their all to help me achieve my dreams of having a second baby!

Don't be hesitant to ask questions or second guess anything! She is a great dr but its your future♡
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Melissa Esposito at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
I would say I got treated more like a human until after my first & only live birth. Then I felt more like a number after that cuz it was the same protocols time after time & results were similar unfortunately.

One retrieval 10 eggs 9 mature & all 9 fertilized w Icsi to great quality blasts. Transferred 1 fresh ended in chemical. 2nd FET w 1 was neg. 3rd FET w 2 was pos & ended in live birth♡. 4th FET w 2 was pos but ended in MC at 9wks. 5th FET w 2 was pos but ended in MC at 7.5 wks. 6th FET w 1 was chemical but embryo stuck in catheter & had to reprep it for transfer again. My 3rd -6th i did endo scratch w prednisolone & lovenox w other transfer meds.

The trajectory that we have mapped out with Dr. Esposito is to start my first round of fertility medications this month, starting with medication and ovulation charting the first round and then move to medication with timed intercourse and then medication, egg harvesting an then IUI as necessary.

Dr. Esposito cared deeply about our desire to be parents. She was patient through the process of explaining everything to us even if she had to repeat herself. She was very empathetic and was supportive of the way we wanted to go about treatment.... She made sure to answer our questions fully and she covered all risks involved. We appreciated how she spoke to us in a down-to-earth manner and she treated us with importance and sensitivity. She was reassuring and when our first cycle failed she felt deeply unsatisfied and outlined exactly how the protocol would change and how she was going to make this happen for us.
They [Shady Grove Fertility of Philadelphia] are organized, communicative, flexible and make sure your experience is to your satisfaction. I expressed concerns about the financial counselor we were assigned and we received a phone call the very next day from our new financial counselor.... We exhausted insurance benefits for 2nd cycle so we opted to go with Shared Risk so we had a fair shot at making and bringing our baby home. Shared Risk is out of pocket and runs $19,500 plus $3,500 for genetic testing.

Have faith. Trust the process. Ask questions- there is no such thing as "too many questions". Make sure you feel like all of your concerns are addressed and you are being heard. If you are a patient of Dr. Esposito, you will have no trouble with that. Be upfront and transparent.

I loved her [Dr. Melissa Esposito]. I loved that she was blunt about things and her opinions... always having research to back it up too!...I did 6 IUIs, and she was up front that she only wanted to do 3 max, less if we were comfortable. She doesn't like IUIs as much due to such low success rates. I totally agree with her!! Unfortunately my insurance forced us to do 6 before moving onto IVF. We did 3 cycles on clomid, 3 cycles on injectable meds then moved onto Antagonist Protocol for IVF with ICSI.
IVF,ICSI cost about $10000 and $4000 in meds...I loved everything about this clinic [Shady Grove at Camp Hill]. I do want to warn you that they have many branches and if you're branch doesn't have a Dr on the day your cycle falls for transfer or IUI, you may have to go elsewhere. I didn't mind this as it gave me tons if options for appt times. And all the doctors I've encountered have been great through Shady Grove

Dr Esposito always took time to talk to me after our appointments, she wouldn't just rush out. She always remembered everything about us and would even stop and talk to us in the hallway. When I was in the room still for different procedures, she would run out to waiting room and let my husband know I was good. She was optimistic but honest about percentages and didn't sugar coat things. Also took time to explain anything we needed in great detail.

IVF,ICSI cost about $10000 and $4000 in meds. Luckily we have insurance contracted rate which knocked it to $7000 and then insurance paid $4700 of that. So for us it was around $6400. IUI Was about $500-$700 contracted rate I think

Dr. Bromer called me frequently to update me on the progress of our embryos, changes in our treatment plan, etc. These calls occurred on weekdays, weekends...whenever I needed to know something, he was sure be in contact with us. He also listened to and supported our reasons for electing to transfer more than one embryo...Dr. Bromer explained our options thoroughly, answered any and all questions we had, let me vent when I needed to, and was overall extremely supportive. He encouraged genetic counseling, as well as testing of our miscarried baby in order to determine what had led to the miscarriage
They [Shady Grove] worked with my insurance, scheduled appointments at times convenient for me, and were very pleasant to work with... Shared risk IVF cost $20,000, and covered up to six fresh cycles of IVF....Alyssa was amazing. She communicated with us frequently, and conveniently though email while I was at work. She was compassionate, professional, and knowledgeable....The location was convenient to the Harrisburg area, and seem to have great success rates.
How was your experience with Jason Bromer at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
Dr. Bromer explained our options thoroughly, answered any and all questions we had, let me vent when I needed to, and was overall extremely supportive. He encouraged genetic counseling, as well as testing of our miscarried baby in order to determine what had led to the miscarriage, both of which provided us with some really helpful information.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Jason Bromer at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
Ask questions, and seek to understand your treatment. Dr. Bromer is an advocate of both, and will help you to make informed decisions.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Jason Bromer at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?

He also listened to and supported our reasons for electing to transfer more than one embryo.
Describe the protocols Jason Bromer used in your cycles at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania and their degree of success.
I truly don't remember the details of our fertility drugs, though I know I took Lupron both times. Our first egg retrieval yielded 8 embryos, only 2 of which were suitable for transfer. Though we achieved pregnancy, I miscarried at 8 weeks. At Dr. Bromer's suggestion, we had testing on the miscarried baby and learned that he had Klinefelter's syndrome. Our 2nd egg transfer we used ICSI. This also yielded 8 embyos, and though all had fertilized, most had done so abnormally. Only 2 were suitable for transfer. Dr. Bromer said that over two cycles our fertilization rate was on the lower end, and that it was possible that there was some undiagnosed factor impacting our fertilization, which we would want to explore should the cycle fail. Fortunately both embryos implanted, and we were blessed with boy/girl twins.

Alyssa was amazing. She communicated with us frequently, and conveniently though email while I was at work. She was compassionate, professional, and knowledgeable.
Describe your experience with Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
The location was convenient to the Harrisburg area, and seem to have great success rates. I know several couples who have successfully conceived with Shady Grove. They worked with my insurance, scheduled appointments at times convenient for me, and were very pleasant to work with.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Jason Bromer at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
The consultation and diagnostics were covered by my insurance. Fertility drugs cost in the neighborhood of $2500 per cycle. Shared risk IVF cost $20,000, and covered up to six fresh cycles of IVF.
Describe Jason Bromer's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
Our fertility clinic promotes eSET. However for a variety of reasons, we elected to transfer both of our embryos each time we did IVF. Dr. Bromer was extremely supportive of this decision. In fact, when the doctor performing my transfer questioned and even discouraged our decision to transfer both, it was Dr. Bromer's support that helped me stand firm in our decision and insist that both be transferred, as Dr. Bromer and I had discussed. Looking at both of our beautiful kids (born full-term after an uneventful pregnancy), I'm so glad we had Dr. Bromer on our side.

My doctor [Dr. Kara Khanh-Ha Nguyen] was not only friendly but she spoke in a way both my husband and I will understand. She not only showed compassion but she truly made sure we didn't feel alone. Throughout our testing phases and still through our financial hurdle we are trying to overcome to receive actual IVF treatment, she has been thorough and sympathetic...Due to the results of our genetic testing, IVF is our only option. She has explained why including risks of any other treatment along with the benefits IVF would provide once we undergo treatment.
My nurses (I have had two as on has moved onto another position) have been absolutely wonderful [at Shady Grove Fertility of Philadelphia]. I have been applying for grants non stop the last two years and each time, they have gotten back to me with all information needed in a timely manner and has wished me luck. They are truly wonderful and compassionate...This clinic used to be in Reading, PA. It was recently moved to Lancaster, PA into a building with other offices. The new office is bigger and renovated for a more appealing look than their old office. The only weakness would be the parking as they share the lot with other businesses/offices.

I did find it kind of odd that we were offered the option to do IUI from the get-go, if we chose to. I also wondered about investigating more into the cause of my infertility. Overall I trust her [Dr. Kara Khanh-HaNguyen] experience and her bedside manner is great....First cycle we tried 50mg clomid, trigger shot and timed intercourse. Because the clomid dried me out, we moved to IUI. We did 100 mg and have different results each cycle (sometimes multiple eggs, sometimes 1). We also did trigger shot and progesterone. The third IUI my lining was thin so we added estrogen. All cycles were negative.
I had several nurses [at Shady Grove Fertility of Philadelphia].Kristen was really great and helpful. Alyssa was not quite as helpful over email...The financial counselor was not great. She went over things very quickly and was not able to offer much guidance or help with certain items. Very vague and didn’t want to spend much time talking until we actually decided to do IVF...I did find it kind of odd that we were offered the option to do IUI from the get-go, if we chose to. Dr Esposito gave us Hope and Faith that she will do everything possible to help us through this process. She offered every option and let us choose what we felt was best for our family. She was kind and compassionate and very knowledgeable. She was prompt on responding and very down-to-earth when needed to be.... Our first cycle was IVF with insurance, we did gonal and menopur for our first cycle. We are getting ready to go through another cycle with the femara
Nothing everything was perfect through our process and continues to be. I would refer them [Shady Grove] at over anyone in the area. All the staff was all welcoming and loving and made connections with me and my husband....[Cost of Treatment] They are very comparable to the ones in our area. They have many options for treatment and cost... Tracy was so compassionate when I cried she cried. She felt so much love for me as a patient

She [Dr. Melissa Esposito] often ran very late and was cold and artificial...This office bumps patients between doctors and Dr Esposito was never my choice of physician. I was never happy to see that she would be performing a procedure because she was artificial, distant, and not able to make a human connection...Shady Grove seems to use a standard set of protocols, so don't be afraid to push back and ask if that is what is right for you.
Both the primary care nurse and some of the ancillary nursing staff were phenomenal. One of the med techs is very cold and gruff...Shady Grove seems to use a standard set of protocols, so don't be afraid to push back and ask if that is what is right for you...They would do better to have a more private patient waiting room setup - you will run into people you may know given the small size and few other resources in the area. Their financial aid paperwork is complex and depends upon patients managing multiple pieces of it -- which I was not made aware of until it was too late.

Dr Nguyen was very friendly and knowledgeable. She took the time to answer all my questions. When my only normal embryo did not survive thawing, she was very kind and empathetic. She spoke with me on the phone as long as I needed. My one negative, in hindsight, is that on the initial consult, she was too positive about possible outcomes...
[At Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania the] Nurses, PAs, and Doctors were always friendly, though treatment seemed cookie cutter...Everyone was always super nice. One thing though, is they didn't make sure I had the after hours number, so when I needed to call one night I couldn't...The financial team seemed to omit things....They also called in brand name medications and we didn't know better to ask for the cheaper generics

I felt like she [Dr. Khanh-Ha Nguyen] treated me like a human because she took her time with my husband and I, reviewed all my previous records before our consultation from the dr I did my previous cycle with. Explained everything start to finish on the process. I feel like she is a part of our family even though our first cycle didn't turn out as we planned, she was right by our side to let us know she cared.

Dr Kallen has a very calm, quiet bedside manner but don't let that fool you - he is extremely invested in every patient he sees. When my case sometimes presented challenges, he would go back and look at all of my past scans and consult with his peers to determine the best course of action. There was a time during my treatment when Dr. Kallen was away for a few weeks, and I honestly wish I had paused treatment because I began only trusting him with my care. Not that the other physicians aren't great, but he really knows what he's doing and is fully invested in his patients.
Dr Kallen and the whole team at SGF are extremely warm and welcoming...Going through this experience is extremely difficult - it's emotional, time consuming and hard on your body. Shady Grove made it as smooth as possible. With multiple locations, it was easy to get to and from appointments and hardly ever had more than a 5 minute wait time. The portal was easy to use, and the finance department was very easy to work with...

Dr Kallen and the whole team at SGF are extremely warm and welcoming. They are always there with any questions you may have, and remember your name every time you come in. They feel like they are really on this journey with you - your heartbreaks are theirs, and your wins are theirs too.
Describe the protocols Caleb Kallen used in your cycles at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania and their degree of success.
I presented with PCOS and a high AMH - which actually proved to be more challenging to get my follicles to reach maturation without my hormone levels going too high. We started out with a few IUIs, and moved onto IVF in April 2022 when IUI did not work. Dr. Kallen was very clear about all of the steps of IVF, so we went in armed with as much information as possible. We had one unsuccessful egg retrieval (which was actually not performed by Dr Kallen). For our second retrieval, Dr. Kallen ensured he was the one to perform it. We ended up with 13 good embryos. Our next challenge came when my uterine lining just wasn't getting as thick as we ideally would want it before a transfer. The first transfer did not work, but luckily the second one did and I am now 4 months pregnant.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania. (Assigned nurse: Hannah)
Hannah was the best! She sometimes had to make those tough calls after IUI, and always delivered the news with care and compassion. She responded to any and all questions (email or phone) right away, and was always cheering us on.

Luckily we had good insurance, so after deductibles and out-of-pocket were met, insurance covered the rest.
Describe Caleb Kallen's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
A lot of people asked me why we did not put multiple embryos in, and I said that was what Dr. Kallen recommended. I do believe that is the right approach - one healthy baby should always be the end goal.

Dr. Kallen spent 80% of the appointment pushing IVF on us. He spent about 5 minutes discussing the less intense treatment options with us (IUI) and the rest of the appointment running through the packages that SGF offers for IVF. He also started the appointment saying that our numbers, aside from my AMH levels, looked okay, but then ended the appointment saying that "our numbers were very concerning". Overall, it was incredibly confusing, disheartening and overall we felt like there was an immediate push for unnecessary treatment...
There was conflicting information between the nurses and the Dr. [at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania] regarding the urgency of my issues. The information was misleading and not aligned between receiving test results and the treatment consult with the doctor...He [Dr. Kallen] spent a majority of the appointment running through all of the financial packages that SGF offers for IVF, which felt like a business push instead of a focused/personal treatment plan for us. He ended the appointment by saying that our numbers were extremely concerning, which contradicted what he said at the beginning of the appointment, leaving us extremely confused and upset....
How was your experience with Caleb Kallen at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
Our experience with Dr. Kallen was incredibly disheartening and upsetting. There was no personal approach to my treatment, he never suggested running any additional testing and he jumped right to the most expensive treatment options. He was incredibly pushy and I would never trust him as my doctor. We only had two appointments with Dr. Kallen, our initial consult and the treatment consult, both of which were done over Telehealth calls. After receiving what seemed like good news from our nurses, our treatment consult felt incredibly misleading and confusing. Dr. Kallen ran through our testing quickly, said that everything looked okay except my low AMH levels and then immediately went on to explain why IVF was necessary. He spent a majority of the appointment running through all of the financial packages that SGF offers for IVF, which felt like a business push instead of a focused/personal treatment plan for us. He ended the appointment by saying that our numbers were extremely concerning, which contradicted what he said at the beginning of the appointment, leaving us extremely confused and upset. My husband and I decided to get a second opinion with MLF where they ran additional mid-cycle testing, which Dr. Kallen never suggested or mentioned. This testing led them to find out that I am not ovulating, a situation that can be fixed with medication. For comparison, MLF has NEVER even talked to us about IVF, as it would be the absolute last resort if the less intense treatment options do not work. Because Dr. Kallen never suggested running these additional tests, there is a possibility that we could have put ourselves through extremely expensive fertility treatments and I could have put my body though something that was completely unnecessary, which is the most frustrating and upsetting part of our experience with Dr. Kallen.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Caleb Kallen at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
Be an advocate for your own health. If something doesn't feel right, seek a second opinion. But overall, I would not recommend Dr. Kallen as a doctor to anyone.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Caleb Kallen at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
Our experience with Shady Grove and Dr. Kallen was incredibly frustrating and disheartening due to a lack of communication and what felt like a huge push for treatment that wasn't necessary. To start, as our diagnostic testing was received, we received a phone call from the nurses with the results. All of our testing came back okay aside from my low AMH level and we were told "not to be concerned, as everything else looked great". With that, we went into our follow up with Dr. Kallen assuming that we were going to have fairly good news. However, Dr. Overall, it was incredibly confusing, disheartening and overall we felt like there was an immediate push for unnecessary treatment.
Describe the protocols Caleb Kallen used in your cycles at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania and their degree of success.
Dr. Kallen suggested that we could try IUI, but focused on the fact that the success rates are not high. He mostly pushed for IVF.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
The nursing staff at SGF was fine overall, but their communication vs. the doctors communication was confusing and not aligned.
Describe your experience with Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
Even though my experience with SGF wasn't great (specifically Dr. Kallen), the clinic itself was very welcoming and everyone was very nice. If you are interested in going to SGF, I would just be sure to research the doctors ahead of time and only go see someone who you are comfortable seeing.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
There was conflicting information between the nurses and the Dr. regarding the urgency of my issues. The information was misleading and not aligned between receiving test results and the treatment consult with the doctor.

Dr. Kallen is very no-nonsense and clinical. While I don't expect every doctor to have a wonderful, cheerful personality, his is less than ideal for women going through the very emotional and stressful infertility process. Unless you ask a specific question he does not volunteer information. Each monitoring appointment was very quick...he is pretty conservative/traditional in his approach
Shady Grove has many convenient office locations and utilizes an online patient portal which makes the whole process easier. How was your experience with Caleb Kallen at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
Dr. Kallen is very no-nonsense and clinical. While I don't expect every doctor to have a wonderful, cheerful personality, his is less than ideal for women going through the very emotional and stressful infertility process. Unless you ask a specific question he does not volunteer information. Each monitoring appointment was very quick and he offered no opinion as to how I was progressing - I had to wait until my nurse called with blood test results to get more information on what was seen on the ultrasound. I also learned that he is pretty conservative/traditional in his approach. I specifically had to ask about other treatments I had read about that may be better suited for my diagnosis. I didn't feel like he was up on the latest studies or open to alternative treatments (even ones that are commonly used by other clinics). These factors ultimately lead to us finding another doctor/clinic.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Caleb Kallen at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
If personality is not important, and standard, by-the-book treatment is ok with you, Dr. Kallen is just fine. If you want more personalized care look elsewhere.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Caleb Kallen at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
In general, Dr. Kallen does not have a good bedside manner. I don't expect doctors to be all warm-and-fuzzy, and I generally prefer to receive straight-forward answers but I also expected more communication during monitoring appointments and my progression during my IVF stims. Dr. Kallen was very empathetic though when he called to deliver not so great news after our egg retrieval which was unexpected and made me feel better about his general personality.
Describe the protocols Caleb Kallen used in your cycles at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania and their degree of success.
I was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve during my first appointment. Dr. Kallen told us that IVF would be our best option, but also said we could consider IUI - ultimately the decision was ours. We ultimately moved forward with IVF and did a pretty standard antagonist protocol - Gonal-F, Menopur and Cetrotide. I was considered a poor responder, and Dr. Kallen pushed more meds at the end of the cycle to try to produce adequately-sized follicles. We ended up with 5 eggs, 3 mature. All 3 fertilized but arrested growth on day 5 post-retrieval.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania. (Assigned nurse: Deborah/Debbie)
Debbie was a savior during the process, especially given the less-than-ideal personality of Dr. Kallen. She called after each appointment with my blood test results, explained the ultrasound results, gave me a sense of how I was progressing and answered every single question I had. I felt comfortable emailing her any time I had additional questions and she responded very promptly. She was supportive and always had a positive attitude, especially on days when I was stressed.
Describe your experience with Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
Shady Grove has many convenient office locations and utilizes an online patient portal which makes the whole process easier. They have financial counselors who are knowledgeable about insurance benefits and for providing cost estimates. The nurses are the clinic's biggest strength - every single one I encountered was so sweet and had positive attitudes, which makes all the difference when you're going through a very stressful and emotional process. The main area needing improvement is the amount of information and resources they provide to patients. Looking back on my experience I had to learn a lot by advocating for myself and asking questions whereas the doctors, as the experts, should better prepare patients for treatments, and manage expectations. They should also provide more information on medication options. If you have good insurance (which we are very lucky to have) they just put in orders for the most expensive meds with no consideration for the fact that you may have to do multiple IVF cycles. That resulted in us maxing out on our prescription benefit and now have to pay out-of-pocket for our next cycle (through which I learned there are cheaper versions of the meds available).
Describe the costs associated with your care under Caleb Kallen at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
Medications were approximately $19,000 ($15k luckily covered by insurance). I think the medical procedures (monitoring appts, egg retrieval, fertilization/embryologist) were around $15,000 but pretty much all was covered by insurance so I'm not sure of the total.
Describe Caleb Kallen's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
Generally recommended single embryo transfer, though we never made it to that stage.

Dr. Martin has excellent bedside manner. He always remains positive and tried not give unfavorable information in a kind way. He has been open to phone calls and visits, and never makes his patients feel rushed... funny, personable and kind. He works hard to try and lighten the mood and often makes jokes in the office. He is also gentle. Vaginal ultrasounds are not the most comfortable thing and he does a great job and easing that discomfort.
Our total cost for the Shared Risk Program [at Shady Grove Fertility] with the genetic testing for all embryos was $28,000. The cost of visits were included. We probably spent an additional $300-$400 on meds for those three trials of IVF. We spent about $300-$400 on IUI with the cost of visit co-pays and medication over six tries...They can and will drop you from the shared risk program if you do not conceive within two tries. They label it low ovarian reserve or response and do not consider that grief plays a role. They push the phrase, "you get up to six tries and you either get a baby or your money back." They do not spend a lot of time going over reasons you could be dis-enrolled from the program which is misleading. Also, the services are extremely expensive and there is little information offered about financial resources for patients.

I believe I was on an antagonist protocol. I did the Estrogen patch followed by menopur and follistim for egg stimulation. Ganirelix was introduced to wards the end to prevent ovulation prior to egg retrieval. I was taking 450 ml of follistim per day (350 AM/ 150 pm), two vials & then three vials of menopur (one saline solution with the powder menopur) in the evenings and one syringe of the ganirelix. Not sure of the dosage of menopur or ganirelix but those were the instructions. I had appts every other day or so and sometimes daily. Bloodwork was obtained at every visit. I also had a saline sonogram twice during the course of treatment.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania. (Assigned nurse: Victoria Bennis)
Tori is very kind. She is sometimes unavailable but the other nurses do a good job of covering for each other. She seemed a bit less knowledgeable than our previous nurse, Debbie Dancer, but she was ok.
Describe your experience with Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
Shady Grove Fertility (SGF) is a very well run clinic overall. The staff is friendly and efficient, their facilities are clean and they seem invested in your success at becoming a parent. They only do procedures out of their Chesterbrook office which is not very convenient. There are times the Bala office has been closed unexpectedly which is inconvenient as well. The Chesterbrook office usually does well accommodating that. The decision board is less personable. They seem to treat patients more like a number in that they do not take into consideration contextual variables. They can and will drop you from the shared risk program if you do not conceive within two tries. They label it low ovarian reserve or response and do not consider that grief plays a role. They push the phrase, "you get up to six tries and you either get a baby or your money back." Also, the services are extremely expensive and there is little information offered about financial resources for patients.

My doctor recommended one embryo be transferred but was ok with transferring two at most. That's how we got pregnant with our twins. After losing them, he recommends only transferring one at a time.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
It was really one issue but it was a significant one in my opinion. We were approved for the Shared Risk Program and told we would be fine. We conceived our twin daughters on the first try of IVF and lost them at four months gestation. We tried two additional rounds of IVF but I did not make genetically normal embryos. Each time I only had one egg that made it to blastocyst stage for PGS. Both were not eligible for transfer. We were then dropped from the program and told we could continue but pay per try. This is a $14,000 commitment. After many conversations, I was later told that I didn't have "the highest numbers" from the beginning and that despite my loss and grief, they weren't willing to continue with me in the program. This was news to me. If I had known my numbers weren't very high (they actually fluctuated at post review), we would have started IVF sooner. Now we have to be very calculated and hope that paying for another round independently will result in a viable embryo that can be transferred. It's very stressful.

Dr K. [Kulshrestha] was there for me every step of the way. One example: the nurse told me I would probably need a frozen transfer and I completely broke down in tears. Minutes later, Dr. K herself called me (well after 5pm) to talk through it and reassure me we would do everything possible to have a fresh transfer...Dr. Kulshretha treats every patient like her top priority. She'll let you know if another physician will be monitoring you for a particular day.
[Shady Grove Fertility of Philadelphia] Does not allow children in office - personally I think that's important in a clinic. Small location - you will know all the staff (I love Haley, the girl that takes your blood) You will have to go to Chesterbrook for the procedures and on weekend...(nursing staff] they are very kind and experienced...Egg retrieval, day-5 fresh embryo transfer.
