Attention to Detail

Attention to detail is on a 1 - 10 scale, and is scored based on the rate, and severity, of errors committed by the clinic according to the patients.

For example, a severe error might be failing to inform a patient of critical information, while a small error might be failing to call a patient with results.

CDC Success Rates

This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.

For more information please see our FAQs.

Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.

I didn't meet Dr Montville until he was performing my 3rd IUI. This clinic has two doctors (Dr Montville and Dr Ruman) plus a nurse practitioner. Before my 3rd IUI, I interacted with either Dr Ruman or the nurse practitioner. Dr Montville was pleasant and answered my questions, though did not seem familiar with the previous two IUIs.
The [Tennessee Fertility Institute - Franklin] clinic's strength is that we were able to get a consult and begin treatment very quickly. Our initial consult was within 2 weeks of calling. The clinic's weakness is communication...Nursing staff have all been kind, friendly, and helpful. I do struggle with the communication and instructions.

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
Take notes, write down your questions ahead of time. They don't volunteer a lot of information unless you ask.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
Doctors/nurses did not seem familiar with my file beyond what we were immediately doing today at that appointment. They would ask me what cycle day I was on, they would ask me how much Clomid they had prescribed me. On the third round of IUI, the doctor explained a treatment they did to the sperm sample and I asked "did we do that for the previous two rounds?" and his answer was "I don't know, I would have to check." That answer seems to come up a lot.
Describe the protocols Christopher Montville used in your cycles at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic) and their degree of success.
We are dealing with secondary infertility. We were diagnosed with unexplained infertility after some testing. The testing we did was a sperm analysis, a blood test for hormone levels, and an HSG, which all came back normal. So we started with 3 rounds of IUI. The first two rounds, I was on Clomid, and the 3rd round I was on Letrozole. We switched to Letrozole because I was producing 3 eggs on Clomid. For all 3 rounds we used Ovidrel for the trigger shot. Then I was on Progesterone for 2 weeks following the insemination. The first two IUIs did not result in pregnancy. The results from the third IUI is TBD.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
Nursing staff have all been kind, friendly, and helpful. I do struggle with the communication and instructions. Each round of IUI the instructions are just a little different. For example -- take a pregnancy test 12 days after your IUI vs 14 days. Start Progesterone the night of the IUI vs the next day. I understand there are probably ranges in the protocol, but it's confusing for me to keep track month to month. Twice they haven't told me what to do with the trigger shot until I flagged someone down after my appointment was over.
Describe your experience with Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
The clinic's strength is that we were able to get a consult and begin treatment very quickly. Our initial consult was within 2 weeks of calling. The clinic's weakness is communication. I had a full conversation with the doctor about how my IUI was going to fall over a trip we had over Thanksgiving, and so we decided to wait a month until Christmas when we had no plans and could be flexible. Nobody thought to mention to me that the lab closes for the last 2 weeks of the year for cleaning. Since then, there are multiple little things that I have to double check or follow up on. Also, this is so silly but there is nowhere for me to put my things when I'm in an exam room. Some rooms have a hook on the wall, but not all of them. I'm supposed to get undressed from the waist down and put my purse, shoes, coat, and pants on the floor?
Describe the costs associated with your care under Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
Most of the treatments we've done so far have been covered by insurance. We are paying a 10% coinsurance. So far we have paid about $70/round of IUI for medication, and $20/round of IUI for the procedure.
What specific things went wrong at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
  • Canceled a cycle due to clinic error

Instead, we had to wait until January.

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
Dr. Montville is very sincere in his approach. He takes the time to get to know you and your partner as people, not just patients. He is warm and caring and open to answer all your questions...During the beginning of my second IUI cycle, I was leaving the clinic after a baseline ultrasound and Dr. Montville called me while I was pulling out of the parking lot. He had been studying my file and wanted to catch me and suggest some new approaches.
The nursing staff [of Tennessee Fertility Institute] has been excellent at calming me in emotional situations, and educating me on protocol and administering injectables...The IUI procedure was $250. The gonal-f injections were $252 and the ovedril injection was $54. The total out of pocket for our second round of IUI was $1,356...Everyone is happy to explain any process and helps you understand what to expect. I am never afraid to ask anyone any questions I have.
How was your experience with Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
I have had 2 IUI procedures with Dr. Montville. With unexplained secondary infertility and advance age, he has never made me feel hopeless. He is straightforward with the facts but gives you hope that he is on this journey with you. During the beginning of my second IUI cycle, I was leaving the clinic after a baseline ultrasound and Dr. Montville called me while I was pulling out of the parking lot. He had been studying my file and wanted to catch me and suggest some new approaches. You can tell that he is invested in each of his patients and truly wants their success. He is open to your feedback and questions, and will take the time to explain all details to your level.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
Ask ALL the questions. No questions are silly or stupid. Make sure you understand the process and everything involved; step-by-step. Ask specific details about the financial side of everything so you know what to expect (fee on service, etc.) I did not have a negative experience, but being new to all fertility procedures it is hard to know what to expect if you don’t ask about all the details and timelines. Take notes and join a infertility community (Facebook group, etc.) to go to with other questions.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
Dr. Montville is very sincere in his approach. He takes the time to get to know you and your partner as people, not just patients. He is warm and caring and open to answer all your questions. He makes a point to remember personal details about you, making you feel like you matter and are not just a number.
Describe the protocols Christopher Montville used in your cycles at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic) and their degree of success.
My first IUI cycle was done after 3 years of trying naturally and medicated cycles without procedure. Dr. Montville did a full work-up of labs on me and suggested DNA fragmentation testing for my husband. All of our levels were normal and my egg count was normal. I had a cycle day 3 baseline ultrasound. Dr. Montville prescribed letrozole (as I have done both letrozole and chlomid prior and had worse side effects on chlomid.) I then had a cycle day 10 ultrasound. I was prescribed an ovedril trigger shot that I self administered and had our IUI procedure 36 hours later. That IUI was not successful, so for the next roundDr. Montville took a more aggressive approach with injectables. He added gonal-f injections along with the letrozole and ovedril trigger. This did result in a “big beautiful egg.” Both rounds of IUI only resulted in one mature follicle but the injectables helped mature the egg to a bigger size. We were ready to start round 3 of IUI but cycles were suspended due to COVID-19. We are currently doing a medicated cycle at home until we can participate in procedures again.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic). (Assigned nurse: Benitha Bracy )
The nursing staff has been excellent at calming me in emotional situations, and educating me on protocol and administering injectables. They are amazing at answering all questions and very available through the patient portal messaging system. They understand this journey is a stressful, financial, emotional roller coaster and have been there to help explain anything and calm my fears.
Describe your experience with Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
The staff at TFI is very welcoming and understanding. The clinic is comfortable and thoughtful. From the warm welcoming receptionist, to all the nurses and staff, you are treated as a person on a journey not just a patient or number. Everyone is happy to explain any process and helps you understand what to expect. I am never afraid to ask anyone any questions I have.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
My health insurance does not cover fertility treatments. So I have to pay out of pocket. My letrozole prescription was the only thing covered. Each ultrasound (CD3 and CD10) were $250 each. The sample processing was $200 plus an extra $100 because an added step was needed due to sample thickness. The IUI procedure was $250. The gonal-f injections were $252 and the ovedril injection was $54. The total out of pocket for our second round of IUI was $1,356. I also had an HSG procedure done and my insurance did cover some of that, I ended up paying $150 after insurance. All the procedures for my IUI were fee due on service, meaning you had to pay the day of your procedure.
Describe Christopher Montville's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
We have not started any IVF procedures yet, due to the financial cost.

Dr. Montville's attention to detail and expertise in the field of fertility is truly remarkable...is a skilled and compassionate physician who genuinely cares about his patients...prefer to do a single transfer instead of a multiple transfer due to the success rates being a bit more higher with one than with multiple.
[Tennessee Fertility Institute] is very clean, welcoming and comfortable...staff is very friendly and warm. Very helpful with answering any questions...no weaknesses to me, from my appointments to the actual transfer date, every one was so nice. On the transfer day, the nurse staff, embryologist...made us feel comfortable and amazing!

Describe the costs associated with your care under Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
The cost for our FET was not too steep and was affordable to us. We paid about $5,000 for it and it included bloodwork, ultrasounds and of course the main event, our transfer.

[Dr. Christopher Montville] is knowledgeable, patient, and very thoroughly communicates every step. Clinically he knows his stuff as well— the medicine management for my stim cycle was perfect...will give you the roadmap to your treatment but you are in the driver’s seat for making sure you follow through and that it gets done
[Tennessee Fertility Institute] staff will not reach out to remind you of anything—It’s up to you to stay on top of making sure you have enough medicine if your cycle gets extended a few days longer than planned...embryologist, Jennifer, and Dr. Miller are absolute gems and brilliant women
How was your experience with Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
We had previously seen another doctor at the same practice that couldn’t keep our details straight, so we switched to Dr. Montville and I am so glad we did. He is knowledgeable, patient, and very thoroughly communicates every step. Clinically he knows his stuff as well— the medicine management for my stim cycle was perfect.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
Dr. Montville is fantastic. He will give you the roadmap to your treatment but you are in the driver’s seat for making sure you follow through and that it gets done. Dr. Montville and his staff will not reach out to remind you of anything—It’s up to you to stay on top of making sure you have enough medicine if your cycle gets extended a few days longer than planned (this is pretty standard for fertility clinics). However, if you have a question, you can send a message to the staff via the portal and they will respond within a few hours.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
Dr. Montville was very kind and patient every time we met with him. He was confident from the beginning that we were great candidates for IVF. He managed my stim cycle perfectly as we got a far better outcome than any of us predicted.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
It seemed like I had several different nurses in the time I was there.
Describe your experience with Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
The embryologist, Jennifer, and Dr. Miller are absolute gems and brilliant women. Jennifer was extremely communicative via (Dr. Miller performed my egg retrieval.) For support staff, the Nashville clinic was awesome! The lady at the front desk of the Franklin clinic was not friendly and could’ve been more compassionate given the sensitive nature of why patients are there.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
We did a BUNDL plan for two discounted cycles which guaranteed a live birth or a full refund. In retrospect we didn’t need it and I wish we had just paid for one cycle out of pocket since the BUNDL plan was significantly more.

Dr. Ruman is very patient and compassionate and is always willing to answer all my questions. I have been a patient of hers for a year now, and even though I've had six failed IUIs, I still have complete confidence that she will help me have a baby...Dr. Ruman listens to my questions and tries to help as best she can. She knows about my vaginal trauma and offers me Valium/Xanax whenever I need it in order to get through these traumatic, invasive procedures.
The [Tennessee Fertility Institute] clinic is very clean, neat, and professional-looking. The location is easy to get to and I very rarely wait for longer than 10 minutes for my appointment. However, I do feel like the prices are higher than average...Genuinely like all the nurses that I have come into contact with. Describe the protocols Jane Ruman used in your cycles at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic) and their degree of success.
Letrozole for all six of my IUIs. The first three IUIs produced at least two or three follicles; however, the last three IUIs only produced one large follicle way earlier than it should have. I also took vaginal progesterone suppositories after each IUI. For my two egg retrievals, I was on Gonal-F, Cetrotide, Menopur, and estrogen patches. Each egg retrieval produced 14 follicles, with nine of those being mature eggs. Out of the 18 eggs, only four fertilized via ICSI. I wound up with only two 5-day embryos. I'm currently getting ready for my first embryo transfer next month, so right now, I'm on birth control and Lupron. I will start Progesterone in Oil and Estrace in a couple of weeks, as well as Doxycycline and Medrol during the week of the transfer.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
Genuinely like all the nurses that I have come into contact with. They're all very compassionate and seem to really wish success for their patients. When I had my HSG, I was absolutely terrified.....I don't handle a speculum very well due to childhood trauma, and I had decided not to take a Valium beforehand, because it seems like sometimes Valium doesn't work for me. Two nurses that I had never seen before held my hands all through the procedure and tried to talk to me throughout to keep my mind occupied on other things. They were awesome. Same for the nurses who have helped me with my egg retrievals.
Describe your experience with Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
The clinic is very clean, neat, and professional-looking. The location is easy to get to and I very rarely wait for longer than 10 minutes for my appointment. However, I do feel like the prices are higher than average.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Jane Ruman at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
I do feel like the costs of these procedures at this clinic are higher than average. I spent about $12,000 last year on IUIs, blood work, ultrasounds, an HSG, and an SIS. So far this year (we're in April now, and I've done two egg retrievals and am preparing for my first embryo transfer), I've spent about $28,000. All of this is out of pocket. I also wonder if some of these ultrasounds actually COULD be filed with my insurance, because my previous clinic told me that ultrasounds were covered by BC/BS. So I wonder if this clinic just doesn't file the ultrasounds with the insurance in a certain way.
Describe Jane Ruman's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
My clinic's policy is to only transfer one embryo. Personally, I would prefer that they allowed up to two embryos at a time. The official party line from the doctor is that they do this to reduce the chance of multiples, which comes with risks to both the babies and the mother; however, the cynic in me thinks that only transferring one embryo also financially benefits the clinic, because if one embryo doesn't implant, then the patient has to pay for another transfer.....whereas transferring two has higher odds of success.

Dr. Montville is fully invested in his patients and their appropriate treatment plan. He was candid and explained procedures and processes thoroughly. He personally emailed or called me when necessary to discuss test results or treatment plans. I saw him nearly every single visit (and if not him, one of the other two excellent medical providers) for an entire year. It is extremely reassuring getting the medical advice straight from the doctor and not a nurse or technician. He celebrated with us for the successes, and empathized for us during the harder times. He is professional, trustworthy, sincerely wants the best for his patients, and has created an office environment that runs smoothly and effectively.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
For any infertility patient, specifically IVF, the process is very long with many steps along the way. Dr. Montville is very thorough on educating his patients on the details of all of those steps. I would encourage all patients to do the research, learn the lingo, and have a full understanding of your plan.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?

Describe your experience with your nurse at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic). (Assigned nurse: Kendall and Benitha)
My egg retrieval nurse (Kendall) and my IVF transfer nurse (Benitha) were incredibly responsive. I usually received an answer to my questions same day, even on weekends. The entire nursing staff was supportive - from holding my hand when I was upset (Crystal), to hugging me when I cried, to lifting us up and being excited for our embryo transfer and subsequent ultrasounds. In 10 months, I had blood work done 25 times - it was seamless. The OR team was also fantastic and took amazing care of me during multiple procedures, three of which were under anesthesia. The embryologist, Jennifer, is incredibly talented and intelligent. Finding out how many eggs and embryos you have is one of the most stressful steps, and she delivers the news - good or bad - with grace and genuine concern.
Describe your experience with Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
One of the biggest strengths of this clinic is that I saw a medical provider every single visit, and they were the ones who completed my ultrasounds. I knew I was going to get accurate information, and this simple task eliminates a lot of miscommunication. Knowing exactly, and correctly, where you stand at each appointment is the best way for the team to manage your care. Every person at TFI is professional, responsive, and supportive. It is obvious they genuinely enjoy their jobs and the patients. Kristin is an absolute joy to see at every appointment. I never had any issues with making appointments, never had to wait more than a couple of minutes to be seen, and always received results and plans the same day. The providers, who see so many patients, always made me feel like I was the only one. They never rushed me and ensured all of my questions were answered.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
I was always able to attend monitoring appointments first thing in the morning, so it never interfered with my work schedule. I saw a doctor every time, was in/out quickly and prepared for the next step of the process.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
Due to poor egg quality and low egg reserve, it was recommend it would be more cost effective to do egg banking cycles prior to fertilizing, growing embryos and testing. The costs were in line with the other clinics in Nashville. Teresa was always available to discuss and assist with any financial questions.
Describe Christopher Montville's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
We implanted one embryo that was genetically tested. This was appropriate for my age and because it was tested. We were not interested in transferring more than one, nor was it discussed.

How was your experience with Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
Overall, Dr. Montville is a good clinician. His strength is his approachable manner and he does give you direct 1:1 attention in comparison to other clinics where you see staff instead of the doctor. This is a plus. I became increasingly concerned, though, and ultimately opted to go elsewhere for two reasons. First, the more I self-advocated for and made suggestions to my own treatment (e.g. finding the same thing over and over wasn't working and small changes could be made in the IUI protocol), I was increasingly dismissed. I was also summarily and sharply corrected in a sharper tone than I would have liked when I used the wrong term accidentally a few times, which felt out of character with the above. The longer I went, I also felt with the IUI protocols they were pushing me along to just get to IVF, rather than working with my body and hormones (a situation discovered and fixed easily by my new RE). I also discovered he has very entrenched views on PGT-A testing and their clinic does not report out mosaics, which a slate of studies in recent months have called into question by showing normal live births from mosaic embryos. Lastly, they tend to recommend egg banking, even for older women, which a lot of research advocates against since older women's eggs are often way more fragile (like mine) and do not survive thawing for fertilization. To have proceeded as he was counseling me for IVF, I now know, would have not worked for my body and I would have wasted untold thousands of dollars. I'm glad I listened to my gut and went elsewhere. Dr. Montville is a good doctor, but he's not for everyone.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
If you are younger or have few issues, I believe Dr. Montville will be a fine clinician for you, especially if you are looking for individual attention. If you are older, like to do your own research and advocate for yourself, or find some protocols like PGT-A testing controversial and concerning, consider looking elsewhere.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
Dr. Montville has a good bedside manner and is engaging and kind in the office. Overall, I liked him for the first few IUI rounds. However, the more I was there and the more I took charge of and advocated for myself with my own treatment, the more I felt dismissed. Because I was spending a lot of time reviewing recent peer-reviewed literature (I am a researcher myself and familiar with scientific protocols), it was frustrating to be dismissed so easily when I was coming with valid questions and concerns.
Describe the protocols Christopher Montville used in your cycles at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic) and their degree of success.
Five IUIs. First using Clomid and no trigger, with the rationale of starting slow and easy due no identifiable fertility issues (I ovulate on my own regularly). Clomid caused a cyst, so we switched to Letrozole thereafter. IUIs 2-5 with Letrozole, the fourth and fifth with low dose Gonal-F added. Only one follicle garnered each time, meaning starting as late as we did in my cycle each time meant the dominant follicle had already self-selected. One definite and two likely chemical pregnancies ending around cycle start. Assumed diagnosis was poor egg quality and chromosomal abnormalities.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic). (Assigned nurse: Kelly)
Overall, the nursing staff was great. They were kind, responsive, and helpful. I cannot say anything but positive things here.
Describe your experience with Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
The practice is rapidly growing, which I observed cause more and more hiccups over time. This did not impact me negatively for the most part, and in the office, they were willing to help (for the most part) with insurance submissions for the few things that could be billed through insurance. The managing company (Prelude), however, is a complete mess with regard to billing. I incurred visits that were billable to insurance in October and November that were not submitted until the following March. I cannot tell you the number of hours on email and phone spent to get this rectified and actually had to submit claims on my own well before Prelude ever got around to responding. Their in-house billing policies, too, are not great. For instance, I was never notified of an exorbitant fee simply to have my genetic materials transferred to another clinic--such fees should have been made clear at the outset. Otherwise, all the on-site staff I met with were kind and friendly and seemed fairly well organized.

$1050-1100 per IUI. Oral medications and progesterone were nominal through GoodRx ($5-10 per cycle), and they were able to provide a 50% off rate for the Ovidrel trigger and Gonal-F pens when injectables were used, which was appreciated.
Describe Christopher Montville's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
Single embryo preferred; multiples can be transferred depending on protocol/situation and ASRM recommendations.

Dr Montville was thorough with his explanations...We did IUI twice with clomid. He suggested I stop trying bc of my age. I did one egg retrieval with the injections, etc. We did PGS testing on 4 embryos and 2 were viable...The first transfer was unsuccessful. After that transfer I did a mock transfer cycle to find out what went wrong the time before and look for endometriosis. They discovered I needed one more day of PIO. I waited a year and had another SIS and they found polyps on my uterus so they did a hysteroscopy the month before my second transfer with the only embryo I had left. I had the 5 day embryo transfer in June and am now early pregnant.
[The staff at Tennessee Fertility Institute] are very knowledgeable and compassionate. Everyone is attentive. The wait times are generally short and the lab work lady is on it! As they’ve gotten busier, you can tell a little. But they always message me back on the portal promptly which is nice. My IVF nurse would respond within minutes. Overall the clinic and Dr Montville are wonderful.
How was your experience with Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
Dr Montville was thorough with his explanations and patient with me when I had questions. He answered the phone when I called the on call dr. He was compassionate but honest. As the practice got busier I saw the NP once and his partner twice. Other that that it was always him.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
Listen to him even if you don’t think what he is saying is correct at the time. He knows what he’s doing.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
Dr Montville and his team were wonderful throughout our entire experience. Benitha was always responsive, helpful and friendly. Teresa was always helpful with billing questions or understanding charges. The other ladies in the office were awesome as well every time, whether I was having blood drawn, making an appointment, or having a procedure. They were all so nice and caring and took the time to get to know me and that meant a lot. Dr M called me himself to give me results and would always take time to explain everything going on and answer every one of the many questions I asked. They were patient with me and prompt in their responses. I never felt like a number. Everyone in the office knew me by name and treated me so well. I am forever grateful to Dr Montville and the team at Tennessee Fertility for my experience there. Oh and Jennifer the Embryologist was amazing! She was so helpful and even called me at home at 7:30pm one night bc I had a question and was really concerned about something and she didn’t want me to worry until the morning. She really went above and beyond, put my mind at ease and I appreciate it so much

Dr. Montville was very attentive and through in explinations. He was respectful of our time. He answered all of our questions and encouraged us to ask them. Overall he treated us as people not just as patients...He will only transfer 1 tested embryo for our age...He took time to get to know us as people as well as patients. He never made us feel rushed or pushed us into treatment.
Overall they [the Tennessee Fertility Institute nurses] are caring and willing to provide or get any needed information. In non-IVF cases I feel like there is more confusion and not knowing who is responsible for different things...Insurance knowledge is not good. It took 10 months for them to tell us that the lab was out of network; while the doctor and faciltiy are in-network. This has caused issues with how to move forward. The receptionist is really kind and helpful.

Dr. Montville was awesome. He treated my husband and I like human beings, and was appropriately candid and honest with us. I always felt supported by him, and knew he was routing for us. I also appreciated his honesty...we were only able to retrieve 2 of the 7 eggs. Only one fertilized, but that one had chromosomal abnormalities...had a really difficult time on my medications, and I felt free to talk to discuss my experience with him. He gave me support and guidance. The main nurse I worked with became a trusted confidant. His whole team on retrieval day was amazing. When I was delivered, what unfortunately bad news, the nurse, again, was incredibly kind.
My primary nurse [at Tennessee Fertility Institute] was amazing. I miss her! She was always so encouraging and compassionate. She always listened and gave advice. She is truly an angel...The round of IVF with medications was about $22k...This was the 4th clinic I went to and it was heads and shoulders above any of the others. The doctor and nurses always returned my calls and emails. They always got me in for appointments. There was never any confusion about billing. It was clean and well equipped. The surgical side was clean.

My IVF retrieval was a roller coaster (maybe they all are?). The medications made me suicidal, and everyday it was a new problem/strategy. At one point we though my ovary had moved out of a place for a successful retrieval, so we discussed not doing the retrieval that cycle. Then the next day it had moved! Hooray! Then we were only able to retrieve 2 of the 7 eggs. Only one fertilized, but that one had chromosomal abnormalities. =(

I honestly couldn't think of any area he [Dr. Christopher Montville]could improve in. He is very personable, funny, and comforting. Dr. Montville has shown us only the best quality of care. He has made me feel like I have the best possible doctor in my corner to help me fight this terribly awful battle...We have done two IUIs both with 5 mg Letrozole. He chose Letrozole because it has fewer side effects, is better for women with PCOS, and I had done 3 cycles with clomid and timed intercourse while still seeing my OBGYN and developed a cyst from the last cycle. I have only had one follicle develop each time, and the first IUI was a failure, and I am currently in the two week wait of the second.
The receptionist Kristen is just the sweetest and patiently answered my 1 million questions I had when first starting out [at Tennessee Fertility Institute]. Honestly the only negative thing I can say about the clinic is that the patient rooms are very small and have no where for a partner to sit. The clinic is very efficiently run and the patient portal system they use is wonderful. It allows them to reply quickly to any and every need you could possibly have. The APN Brooke Rittenberry is just down right amazing, she performed our last IUI because Dr. Montville was out of town and I felt very comfortable and confident in her abilities. Dr. Montville is a wonderful doctor who seems to genuinely care about us and our treatment.

Describe the costs associated with your care under Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
One of the reasons I chose Tennessee Fertility Institute was because they bill as a couple instead of an individual. A different clinic nearby had told us it would be anywhere from 400-600 dollars just for our initial visit with the doctor where as with TFI they told us it would at the most be $250 and it was only $137.17. Our first IUI cost $700 dollars because we only needed one ultrasound, our second cost $950 because we had a second ultrasound. Each Ultrasound itself costs $175 plus a basic office visit which is $75, so each ultrasound comes out to $250. Sperm wash for IUI costs $200, and the IUI procedure itself costs $250.

Dr Montville’s approach is based on many factors. With my age and history of having 1 living child, in addition to genetic testing, we decided on a single embryo transfer...remembered our names, our daughter’s name and casual conversations we had in the prior session...was always prepared to spend as much time as we needed to fully understand the treatment protocol. He was available off hours through the hotline and never made you feel like you were bothering him. He followed up by phone personally for the 3 days following my ER.
The nursing staff [at Tennessee Fertility Institute] was a consistent experience and they are all very warm and help you feel as comfortable as possible. They were quick and efficient with their roles and communicated well via portal and phone...is a smaller clinic that takes a tailored approach to your fertility treatment. It takes awhile to schedule your new patient consultant due to how busy they are with current patients, but after the initial consultation they act very quickly to get your plan in place and moving.

Dr. Montville is brilliant but able to clearly explain the treatment options and pros/cons. He is personable and warm - and your treatment feels personalized to your individual needs, while feeling rooted in experience and positive outcome. He has a higher rate of live birth than the national average.

We started with a medicated timed cycle, then proceeded to 3 IUIs. We were informed early in the process that if we had 3 failed IUIs, then IVF would be the next recommended treatment plan. We are currently awaiting PGT after our Egg Retrieval and hope to move to our transfer cycle next month.

Dr Montville’s approach is based on many factors. With my age and history of having 1 living child, in addition to genetic testing, we decided on a single embryo transfer to hopefully

Dr Montville is not overwhelming friendly but he makes you feel welcome and heard. He presents the information in a way that is easy to understand and makes sure you have a total grasp on your diagnosis and treatment. He is very big on communication and seeing his patients at as many appointments as possible...Once he starts to explain and go through everything it can get a little overwhelming making it easy to loose sit of the more "basic" questions you might have had before walking in...was the first doctor that we had that really sat down and explained to us what our dianogsis meant and what he was going to do to help. He wrote everything out and drew pictures of everything along the way. He took time to explain and made sure we felt comfortable. Two days after our appointment he sent a personal email to see if we had any more questions that came up
We were provided a meeting with the financial department [of Tennessee Fertility Institute] at our very first meeting. She gave us a packet that laid out the cost of IVF- $13k from initial ultrasound through transfer plus and additional 3-7k for medications. She called our insurance to see if anything was covered for us and got back to us within two days...The clinic is small and there is hardly anyone else in the waiting room with you so you don't feel like you are in a massive treatment center. The lady at the front desk is extremely helpful and kind. I called to come in from another clinic and Dr Montville was booked several months out but she understood the urgency felt when you have started with treatments and got us in to see him within two weeks. the only weakness is that because it is small it is hard to get anyone on phone first try but they almost always call you back within 5 minutes.

Come in with a list of questions so you make sure you know what you need to ask beforehand. Once he starts to explain and go through everything it can get a little overwhelming making it easy to loose sit of the more "basic" questions you might have had before walking in.

Dr. Montville is incredibly thorough and explains things well and what to expect, including potential risks. He shows compassion and care for his patients and makes it clear he wants the same outcome we do. He went out of his way for us to put us in connection with out some non clinic staff that would help us on our journey to becoming healthier...Be ready to start things right away and dive in! He is very proactive and will want to help you get things moving.
[The nurse at Tennessee Fertility Institute] did an ultrasound and was very calm and gentle. She showed compassion for what we were going through and made it the smoothest as possible...So far, costs have been about what we have anticipated...the financial advisor has been very helpful in answering my questions and explaining things clearly so we can get our ducks in a row...It is a small clinic, very easy to navigate and has a small staff. The building is a bit unique but that’s because it is a suite in a larger building. It is a small clinic itself and you don’t feel like “a number in the factory.”It is nice to feel welcomed and be greeted by Kristen each time we come in. Everyone genuinely wants to help you on your journey.

Dr. Montville went out of his way to make us not feel like a number by answering numerous questions we had after our first visit with a lengthy phone all after hours. He explained things and asked all questions.
Describe the protocols Christopher Montville used in your cycles at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic) and their degree of success.
We will be going through IVF with Dr. Montville but have not started yet. His meetings and testing with us thus far have been thorough and clearly outlined as well as taking things one step at a time.

He [Dr. Montville] is there to provide the treatment that we choose, and does not push us in one direction or the other. Instead, he tells us the statistics and facts with honesty, and allows us to choose our course of treatment while offering us sympathy along the way. ... He is kind when the tears start coming, and he is extremely helpful in breaking down what can seem to be extremely overwhelming into smaller step-by-step pieces. He genuinely seems to understand the stress involved during infertility.
The clinic's strengths [Tennessee Fertility Inst] include the support I've received from everyone at the clinic - front desk, nurses, and Dr. M. ... Katie has primarily been our nurse since moving forward with IVF. ... She has asked great questions during other appointments with the doctor, which is great to see and helps me feel as though I have another advocate and supporter in the room. ... The only weakness I see is sometimes billing can be a bit behind, but that's fairly normal in the medical field.
How was your experience with Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
My husband and I have never felt like "just a number." Dr. M allows me time to ask questions to ensure I have a good understanding of results and tests, and explains things in an easy-to-understand way. He is honest and doesn't sugar-coat things, which I have greatly appreciated. He has offered me compassion and sympathy regarding our situation, particularly in my concerns regarding procedures I've had done, which is when his bedside manner has shown through. He is honest, states the statistics of chance of conceiving with my condition when comparing different treatment courses, and never pushes my husband and me to make a decision one way or the other. He allows us the opportunity to listen to what he has to say, and then we can make the most comfortable decision for us. Thankful to have a compassionate and caring doctor during such a difficult time. He really seems to care about each patient and their circumstance.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
As with any fertility doctor, I think it's always important to ask a lot of questions. If you're looking for a doctor that offers compassion, I'd highly recommend seeing him and the nursing staff for your care and treatments.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
I felt like a human because Dr. Montville takes the time to call me personally regarding my results. I can ask him questions during our conversations and he never is pushy to either leave the room or get off the phone. He is honest, has a great bedside manner, and checks his ego at the door. He is there to provide the treatment that we choose, and does not push us in one direction or the other. Instead, he tells us the statistics and facts with honesty, and allows us to choose our course of treatment while offering us sympathy along the way. Dr. M, my husband, and I have had difficult conversations over the last year as a result of two cancelled treatment cycles. He is kind when the tears start coming, and he is extremely helpful in breaking down what can seem to be extremely overwhelming into smaller step-by-step pieces. He genuinely seems to understand the stress involved during infertility. I have felt so comforted, supported, and heard by not only him, but the nurses (Katie) and front office. It really feels like much more than a doctor's office since a lot of the nurses and staff have actually been through this process themselves. It feels like a major support system there to help you reach your goal of a growing your family.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic). (Assigned nurse: Katie)
Katie has primarily been our nurse since moving forward with IVF. She has been incredible. Fast communication! If she senses that you're stressing about something in your messages to her, she will actually pick up the phone and call you to help you reassure you about things. She has asked great questions during other appointments with the doctor, which is great to see and helps me feel as though I have another advocate and supporter in the room. We've had a few curveballs thrown our way during treatment and treatment prep, and she has called me to check in and see how I'm doing. I can't say enough positive things about her, her attitude, her support, and her genuine kindness.
Describe your experience with Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
The clinic's strengths include the support I've received from everyone at the clinic - front desk, nurses, and Dr. M. They are usually prompt with their communication, as well as disclosing potential fees regarding certain treatments and procedures. I really like that we are assigned to a particular nurse (Katie), and she becomes our main source of contact. My husband and I really like knowing that we see Dr. M at every appointment. So many questions arise at each appointment depending on results, current treatment, etc, that it's nice to be able to ask the doctor directly and pick his brain. The only weakness I see is sometimes billing can be a bit behind, but that's fairly normal in the medical field.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
Some procedures were more than we anticipated; however, we've never had to address our current infertility issues before, so that is based on our own personal ideas regarding how much treatments cost.
Describe Christopher Montville's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
He has encouraged single embryo transfer because of my age and our medical history.

Dr. Montville was very clear that he would transfer a minimal number of embryos to avoid multiples which my husband and I understood completely...is compassionate and so very thoughtful in treating his patients. He writes out statistics and treatment plans so that you fully understand the information as he is explaining it to you. He is the type of doctor who calls to check on you after you receive bad news just to make sure you are ok. He's absolutely wonderful.
I was monitored closely [at TFI] due to my age and some specific challenges I was facing...I worked with Krystal [nurse] primarily and she was amazing. She was always quick to answer questions, had a thorough understanding of the process and was so friendly. All of the nurses were kind and helpful...Package for IVF with Frozen Embryo Transfer 13,000.00 (not all blood work is included and medications ranging from 3,000-8,000 are not included) PGS testing (optional) 5500.00
How was your experience with Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
Dr. Montville was truly a blessing to us. While we have not yet had a baby, he has been willing to help with everything we need. He's positive yet honest and does not provide false hope. You can tell he honestly wants to help you create a family. I could never say enough good things about Dr. Montville. The only bad things I have to say have nothing to do with him but just with infertility in general and things that no one can control.

I don't know the name of the protocol used. I did respond well to the medications and didn't have any major side effects. I was monitored closely due to my age and some specific challenges I was facing. I feel like Dr. Montville tried to assess me and provide the best possible treatment.

It is a small clinic which is wonderful if you like that personal touch. I haven't been there in over a month and kind of feel like I haven't seen my family in a while. There were a couple of times that it took a while to receive a return call but again, it is a small clinic and once you get in, you truly receive excellent care.

He [Dr. Montville] lowered my Gonal-F to 150IU when he saw that my ovaries were growing extremely fast. Started Cetrotide to prevent ovulation. Took Doxycycline to prevent infection from the egg retrieval process...He always takes the time to hear me out and never rushes me. He is sensitive to my needs, but also speaks the truth in a respectful manner. He gives me attention and frequently calls me during the IVF process to see how I’m doing. I’ve worked with several doctors and he’s by far the best I’ve encountered. I would recommend him to anyone.
I can honestly say that I can’t think of anything [at Tennessee Fertility Institute] that would be considered a weakness. It’s a relatively small staff so they communicate at a high level. When I went into my egg retrieval, they all took care of me and communicated what was to be expected and answered any concerns. The staff is personable and I always felt like they wanted my best interest...Every nurse communicated so well and all were very sensitive to my needs and questions. They took time with me and I never felt rushed. They called me in a timely manner and answered all my questions.
How was your experience with Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
Dr. Montville is attentive and always listens to my concerns. He treats me like a human and never rushes me. I see him every visit and he takes the time to call me to check on me. He communicates very well and has the best bedside manners. He left a larger office in which he wasn’t able to connect with all the patients because it was too large of an office, to go to a smaller office in order to connect with each patient. He is such a good doctor. I have nothing negative to say about him. He is on top of everything and extremely professional. I feel that he truly cares about each patient and takes the time to hear the heart of the patient.

Birth control prior to round of IVF. Every other day of ultrasounds. My dosage of drugs during stimulation was Gonal-F 225IU & Menopur 75IU. He lowered my Gonal-F to 150IU when he saw that my ovaries were growing extremely fast. Started Cetrotide to prevent ovulation. Took Doxycycline to prevent infection from the egg retrieval process. For transfer meds, progesterone in oil, estradiol, doxycycline (antibiotic) and methylprednisolone steroid to prevent inflammation.

Describe Christopher Montville's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
Dr. Montville’s approach is if your embryos are PGS tested, he is strongly against transferring more than 1 embryo. If the embryos are not pgs tested, he’s fine with transferring 2 embryos. Since transferring PGS embryos can increase the odds of pregnancy, he only recommends transferring one embryo because of the high risks multiples can bring to a pregnancy.

He [Dr. Christopher Montivlle] was so careful to explain things, even during the treatment process. He included helpful information for coping with this process as well. He was kind, patient and very available during the times that I have worked with him. The clinic is small (he is now on his own in Franklin and not at Nashville Fertility Center) and the nurses are an integral part of the team, but he does all the ultrasounds and explanations.
[TN Fertility Institute's] Strengths - small, friendly, intimate, know you by name, review your case before walking into the room, very nice waiting room, positive energy in the clinic, people are polite when they walk by. Weakness - you have to use the patient portal to communicate but really there is nothing else!!... So friendly, so clean and neat in appearance. Very professional. Always had the answer for you or would get it immediately. Never said anything rude or unkind. They were great with getting you comfortable in the waiting room and they were always in the exam room with the doctor and me.
How was your experience with Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
Strengths - he is patient, kind and very informative. He is thoughtful when he answers your questions. He uses current data to support his responses to treatment plan or your questions. He is always present and you feel very supported by an involved doctor. It feels that the plan is tailored to you individually. There is never a question that you are a number or a statistic. Weakness - I can't think of one! He is fantastic! Best in the entire Nashville area.

Single is what is used for me because I don't make very many embryos so it is best to do one at a time putting them in for transfer in case something goes wrong.

Dr. Montville is incredibly kind and patient. He never made me feel as though he was in a hurry or like I was just one of many patients that he would see all day. He took time to answer all of my questions, even if it meant coming in on a weekend for a consultation...proactive when it comes to finding the best fertility path for you...He is always walking you through the steps and has options to change course if one method of treatment proves less successful.
When it came time to move forward with IVF [with Tennessee Fertility Institute], my husband and I were educated thoroughly on the process, the medications, etc. We always had resources to refer to and ensure that we were doing everything correctly. Prior to IVF, I had a surgery to remove polyps that might impeded transfer...The clinic is efficient, clean, and inviting. The TV was always turned to something like HGTV, which I find much more calming that than news. There was water available, magazines, and comfortable seating. I had no complaints.

Dr. Montville is not only kind during a difficult process, but, most importantly (to me), he is intelligent, thoughtful, and proactive when it comes to finding the best fertility path for you. This process is not easy, but he makes it as painless as he can. He is always walking you through the steps and has options to change course if one method of treatment proves less successful.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
Don't go anywhere else.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
Dr. Montville is incredibly kind and patient. He never made me feel as though he was in a hurry or like I was just one of many patients that he would see all day. He took time to answer all of my questions, even if it meant coming in on a weekend for a consultation.
Describe the protocols Christopher Montville used in your cycles at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic) and their degree of success.
We started with IUIs. Dr. Montville was realistic with me about the statistical chances of success once we hit three tries, but allowed me to try once more, per my preference. When it came time to move forward with IVF, my husband and I were educated thoroughly on the process, the medications, etc. We always had resources to refer to and ensure that we were doing everything correctly. Prior to IVF, I had a surgery to remove polyps that might impeded transfer. Dr. Montville had taken the time to review my medical scans and saw what other doctors missed- faint shadows that were polyps and likely prevented pregnancy in the past. This catch was critical to the success of IVF and if he wasn't thorough, then we would have missed it. Dr. Montville was honest that the statistical success of IVF is 1.5. Try to that number, after egg retrieval and one failed transfer, we became pregnant. I am ecstatic. I owe so much gratitude and thanks to the brilliant work of Tennessee Fertility Institute and Dr. Montville.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic). (Assigned nurse: Amber, Sarah, Krystal, Katie)
The nursing staff remembers. your name and responses promptly to all communications. I would have been lost without them.
Describe your experience with Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
The clinic is efficient, clean, and inviting. The TV was always turned to something like HGTV, which I find much more calming that than news. There was water available, magazines, and comfortable seating. I had no complaints.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
IUIs and IVF are expensive, but Dr. Montville's costs are comparable with those in the area.

He [Dr. Christopher Montville] was kind and thorough and treated us as individuals and not like just another statistic. He went out of his way to make sure we knew we were important to them there as people, first and foremost. He takes the time to make sure we are comfortable, and is caring in his approach. I have had several friends who agree they had a great experience with him and his staff at Tennessee Fertility.
Tennessee Fertility Institute is great. It is smaller and allows for more personal service. Nashville Fertility Institute is so Large and you see a different nurse every time. Tennessee you see the same doctor and nurse every time. Tennessee could benefit from one more procedural room for IUI.. seemed they only have one.... Hey likes to use Letrozole for egg stimulation during IUI. He said it did not matter to wait 24 or 36 hours after ovulation induction.

During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
He went out of his way to make my first experience special. He called me by my name several times throughout the visit, and once more, to say goodbye as I left his office. I could tell he wanted my husband and I to feel important, and not just a number. This was at the Tennessee Fertility Clinic. He left Nashville Fertility because of this issue with patients (treating like numbers).

Hey likes to use Letrozole for egg stimulation during IUI. He said it did not matter to wait 24 or 36 hours after ovulation induction. He waits a full two weeks to take pregnancy test. Because of our age and that I have a high ovarian reserve, he highly recommends IVF. We will be starting this treatment in the Winter.

Dr Montville was always honest with us. He is very easy to talk to and doesn’t mind answering the same questions repeatedly. I saw him every appointment and he always smiled and made us feel at ease. Going to see Dr Montville was the best choice we ever made and we are going to continue to see him...always took an interest in us as people and in our lives. He never rushed when talking with us and he was genuinely disappointed when our cycle failed. He is always available to us for questions and concerns.
$13,000 freeze all cycle...$1650 PGS...$550 anesthesiologist...We did 2 cycles [at Tennessee Fertility Institute]. The second cycle was $9100 for freeze all...We were not able to do a transfer the second time so we are able to get a partial refund...I love all of the nurses. They all knew us by name and most of them had been through IVF themselves and were open about it. That really helped put me at ease during my first retrieval. My nurses still check in with me. The nurses made all of the visits and testing enjoyable and they were disappointed and heartbroken with us.

Dr. Montville takes his time with each of my appointments to make sure he has answered all of my questions. He is very thorough and I don't ever feel rushed...performs all of the procedures himself including the ultrasounds. He does tend to run a bit behind schedule quite often (like 15-20 mins behind schedule) but we are ok with that since we never feel rushed when it is our turn. We are happy thus far with our care and hope we will find success with Dr. Montville!
I seem to see the same nurse at each visit [at Tennessee Fertility Institute] which is great because she is very friendly and always on top of calling in my prescriptions!...Strengths: getting to see the doctor at each visit and the facility is welcoming Weaknesses: Often the provider is running about 15-20 mins behind but he does not rush you when it is your turn; Sometimes it is hard to reach the nurses by phone. Typically communicating by their portal is better
How was your experience with Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
Overall, my husband and I are very satisfied with Dr. Montville. We originally started with a different RE but were not pleased with the care we were receiving so we sought out a second opinion from Dr. Montville. We have been with him ever since! We have only completed one IUI thus far with him and will be completing more in the future. We started with Letrozole since we had tried clomid at the previous RE office. We used a trigger shot for ovulation and then followed the IUI with progesterone for 2 weeks. Unfortunately this cycle did not result in a pregnancy but as far as the treatment goes, the protocol was clear and easy to follow.

I felt Dr. Session didn’t explain the processes well or our options. She lets you guide your treatment and at the time we were new to infertility and had very little information.... And now after I have researched fertility treatments I wish she would not have spent so much time with us just doing timed intercourse and a low dosage of femara or clomid.... I feel like we wasted 8 months of valuable time because I was 36 during this time.
The nurses were great. They were very compassionate and communicated well.... Strengths is the clinic [Tennessee Fertility Institute] was nice and new. It was also nice to be able to a see the doctor every visit because it was a smaller clinic. Weakness is the wait times were long because the doctor sees everyone and she’s the only doctor there. And also Dr. Session was just not the right doctor for us because of the lack of communication and knowledge she provided us.
How was your experience with Donna Session at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
I felt Dr. Session didn’t explain the processes well or our options. She lets you guide your treatment and at the time we were new to infertility and had very little information. She’s quiet, but so am I so for this process we did not make the best match. I’m not saying she’s not a good doctor; she just wasn’t the best fit for me. And now after I have researched fertility treatments I wish she would not have spent so much time with us just doing timed intercourse and a low dosage of femara or clomid. We did this for 8 months (1 month we had a cyst so could not try, 1 month I was unable to try because I could not get my medication refilled due to their office being closed during the holidays so I was unable to get the ultrasound done to get the medication.) I feel like we wasted 8 months of valuable time because I was 36 during this time.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Donna Session at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
Make sure to do research prior to meeting her so you can ask any questions you want and also so you don’t stay in the dark about important information because she did not give us the information we needed to make the best decisions about our treatments. Again I think she took a more cautious approach and I felt maybe I was too old to be spending so much time on timed intercourse.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Donna Session at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
Dr. Session is not very personable and we felt like in our first visit with her she just spoke to us like we were doctors ourselves and we felt she didn’t explain things well.
Describe the protocols Donna Session used in your cycles at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic) and their degree of success.
We did timed intercourse and I took either femara or clomid each cycle. I would go in for an ultrasound to check for cysts before I was given the medication.

I just felt the doctor did not give us the appropriate information we needed to make informed decisions as new fertility patients and she wasted too much time on less aggressive treatments for someone my age.

Dr. Montville is caring and compassionate. From my initial virtual consult (during Covid) I knew I’d picked the right doctor for me...He’s very knowledgeable, understanding and cares about patient’s care. Always attentive to my questions and concerns. Walked me through current and future procedures so I’d know what to expect. Will definitely recommend to family or friends
[Nursing staff at Tennessee Fertility Institute are] Very caring. Promptly answered any questions I had. Very communicative and precise...Truly loved my embryologist Jennifer Miller. From selecting a egg donor to a sperm donor she was helpful to ensuring selections were compatible to my medical history. Grateful to have plethora of experience to guide me through the process. Couldn’t have done it without her

Dr. Christopher Monteville does all the diagnostic testing himself, calls you personally performs all procedures himself...He called me at 6pm from his cell phone to go over what went wrong, what expectations to have next and future plans...He will transfer one PGS tested embryo at the time...All treatments are catered to each patient...
The nurse of [Tennessee Fertility Institute] forgot to send my pain medications Rx to the pharmacy...It is a small clinic so appts are slightly limited, but the kind of care you receive from all staff including front desk, nurses, IVF coordinators, and doctors outweighs the limited appts...$19000 for RE, transfer and genetic testing...All the IVF coordinators are very prompt and caring
