This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.
For more information please see our FAQs.
Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.
[Dr. Marynick is] compassionate and truly cares about seeking a resolution even if it's in a non-traditional way. He thinks outside the box and cares more about the "why"...encouraged us to do a "recurrent pregnancy loss panel" to thoroughly test for issues relating to why I could not seem to stay pregnant. He found some autoimmune issues and his protocol focused on replicating a treatment plan from a colleague of his that had great success based on women with similar autoimmune issues as mine. Once I received a positive pregnancy test (resulting from an IUI), I immediately did an iVig treatment and intralipids. Then, I did 4 more of the same treatments once per month to sustain my pregnancy. i also took a baby aspirin, progesterone, estrogen and 2 heparin shots daily. We welcomed a healthy baby girl 9 months later.
They [Texas Center for Reproductive Health] are cash only (but SO worth it). The wait can sometimes be long for an appointment (if your appt time is 1pm that is merely a "suggestion" for example) but it's because the doctor is so through with all patients so as soon as he meets with you, you understand because he takes the same amount of time and care with you. Dr Marynick performs all of his sonograms personally (this is important so if there is good/bad news, he delivers the info to you right then).
How was your experience with Samuel Marynick at Texas Center for Reproductive Health?
We struggled with infertility for 2.5 years before being referred to Dr Marynick by several friends. The first time we met with him he spent over 3 hours with us! He went thru every single page of my chart from the previous fertility clinic (over 100 pages!) and had highlighted items he wanted to discuss with us. We had been pregnant 6 times and lost all of them around 6-8 weeks. Dr Marynick was very thorough and thoughtful and we felt he really wanted to get to the bottom of why we could not stay pregnant rather than continue getting me pregnant only to miscarry. We did some additional, non-traditional testing and Dr Marynick really felt that I had some autoimmune issues that would require some out-of-the-box treatments. He would always explain everything to us in great detail, even though some of it was over our heads. He would listen to our questions. He would perform all of his own sonograms, personally. Some would say his theories are silly and overkill but at the end of the day, we delivered a healthy baby girl at the end of August by following his protocall. We truly believe a traditional reproductive endocrinologist would not have dug deep enough to discover the "why" behind my miscarriages...but Dr Marynick was willing to and for that we are eternally grateful.

We spent thousands. I cannot recall specifics.
Describe Samuel Marynick's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Texas Center for Reproductive Health.
We decided against IVF because I could get pregnant easily with IUI; I could not STAY pregnant so we focused on that part for my treatment.
Dr. Marynick is one of the most learned people I have ever known. He is also compassionate, passionate about bringing babies into the world, and emotionally invested in every patient. He loves to tell stories and often seems to go off on tangents, but when it comes to discussing and planning treatment, in my opinion, no one else is more qualified. He will give it to you straight and never inflates potential outcomes or speculates on something he is not certain of. He will treat you fairly, individually, and with the utmost respect.
Everyone who works with Dr. Marynick, from his wife Sharon, at the front desk, to his nursing staff are compassionate, loving, and helpful. They communicate well, especially through email, and are great at following up with you when needed. Even if you have LOTS of questions :).... Number one: be prepared for some wacky conversations, but know that he will do everything he can to take care of you and help you have a baby if at all possible.

They are fabulous. It is truly a hands on practice where "everybody knows your name."

Lots of money! But reasonable for what we had done. They do not accept insurance.
Describe Samuel Marynick's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Texas Center for Reproductive Health.
Dr. Marynick is quite conservative. He will not transfer more than two embryos at a time. We transferred two in our first two transfers and then a single embryo for our last transfer.
Dr. Marynick is a wonderful doctor and excels in unusual or unexplained fertility issues. He can sometimes get off track with stories (albeit really wonderful stories!) and it can sometimes feel like most of the time is being spent on matters that do not pertain to your fertility. This can be a bit frustrating when you've taken time off work and need things to move appropriately. Our process was unfortunately unsuccessful.
We adored Abbey [nurse at Texas Center for Reproductive Health]. She is a wonderful communicator, organized and very empathetic. We couldn't have asked for a better guide through a tough process...Dr. Marynick is slightly unusual however I believe he is wonderful doctor. He can sometimes get a bit off task with stories but can usually be reined back in. He is compassionate and truly wants everyone's wishes to come true. He tries hard to make that happen.

Describe Samuel Marynick's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Texas Center for Reproductive Health.
Dr. Marynick thoroughly explained and we understood his approach regarding embryo transfers.
Dr. Marynick is extremely thorough and does his own exams and procedures. He will spend an enormous amount of time with his patients compared to other doctors. Also, he's done wonders treating my pituitary and enodcrine issues. Whereas, other doctors simply wanted to start me on some medications, Dr. Marynick dug deeper to find the root cause of the issues and started treatment from there.
The [Texas Center for Reproductive Health] clinic is well run and accessible. The staff is very good at handling all the necessary paperwork and assistong you in your treatment. Dr. Marynick is hands down the best doctor of any kind who's ever treated either of us for anything. Tremendous knowledge. He cares for each of his patients and their children. We've had the pleasure of being patients and friends of his for about 15 years, and I cannot recommend him more highly.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Samuel Marynick at Texas Center for Reproductive Health?
You will have to file your own insurance paperwork. His clinic doesn't do that. I can't say I blame them.

It was about 9 years ago and we were self-pay. It wasn't inexpensive.
I went through IVF with intralipid and IVIG infusion [with Dr. Samuel Marynick]. Embryo transfer was on Day 5...This doctor is amazing in sympathizing with patients! His bedside manner is top notch! He is sort of "old school" and does not use laser technology for working with embryos. The doctor's sense of humor helped to relax the tension at different times...The care given in Dr. Marynick's office is really outstanding!...doctors are all on the same page and really care about the patient!
This clinic [Texas Center for Reproductive Health] is very much a family and feels very comfortable and safe. Everyone communicates very well and works well together.
