This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.
For more information please see our FAQs.
Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.

How was your experience with Vladimir Troche at Troche Fertility Centers (closed)?
He knew what he was talking about. Not much information was given to me as an obese, early 30- something with PCOS. I asked questions, but often got no answers. He was nice enough, was knowledgeable, but it wasn’t always easy to listen because he wasn’t very emotionally supportive to me. I’m not sure if it was because of my size, or his judgements when looking at a woman of my size; all I can say is that I didn’t always feel welcome, or treated like a woman whom may be 140lbs. Don’t get me wrong, he was nice, but there was definitely a part of him that didn’t seem to want to truly help me. In the end, I was told that I wasn’t a candidate for much else from his office, and that my only next step was for me to lose the weight and come back after that happened. I still have questions, I still don’t understand why I don’t ovulate, when my hormones are supposedly “in normal ranges”. I was disappointed and felt left alone, and I didn’t get the answers I need to understand what is wrong with my fertility. Being a fertility doctor, I expected to get help, especially when I paid good money for it.

I was disappointed with what the doctor was able to provide to me, as far as information, to simply understand what is going on with me and why I am not able to get pregnant.

Clinic [Troche Fertility Centers] is well ran and organized! I always appreciate how clean and knowledgeable the staff is. I am always able to laugh and enjoy my time there— even if it is an emotional appointment. Truly make me feel like I am not doing this alone! A weakness would be communication regarding the covid updates— being in the middle of a cycle I wish the communication was clearer!

Phenomenal experience. The entire staff, from front desk to nurses and support staff help contribute to an irreplaceable atmosphere. I’m grateful to know that my embabies are “from a place of love” rather cultivated in a money hungry lab.

Describe Vladimir Troche's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Troche Fertility Centers (closed).
Doctor was adamant about me only transferring one egg- just for safety. Because I make enough eggs he didn’t have any reasoning why I should transfer two- but did tell me in the future if the course changes that’s a topic for down the road.
He [Dr. Troche] remembers conversations we’ve had. He is always friendly and kind and wants me to have my mini me. Even when I wasn’t scheduled to see him, he pops his head in to say hi. He’s held my hand and dried my tears. He even told me he wants to be invited to the baby shower...Due to my age, we decided on genetic testing of our embryos. If we get to transfer, it will be 1 at a time.
[Troche Fertility Center is] Clean, lots of caring staff, don’t feel like a number, they are thorough, the music they play is so random! 90s hip hop one day, early 2000s pop another. Makes me laugh and cringe. My partner produced a sample to Pink. He was not excited about that...They [nurses] are amazing, positive, always rooting for me...The entire staff is supportive. Everyone wants the same outcome, for me to have a baby.

Our situation only allowed us to do IVF. I don’t remember all the medications names but I had to do 3 shots in my tummy every day for 11 days before retrieval then after transfer day I did one shot in the bum every day until they confirmed pregnancy. During the time I started shots up to transfer day I was in the office about every other day to make sure everything was going smoothly. After they confirmed pregnancy they put me on progesterone cream to until 12 weeks to make sure I was getting the hormone.

We happened to be doing ivf on his 25 year of practice so he had a special 25% off treatment. So I believe we paid about 7000 in treatment cost.
He [Dr. Vladimir Troche] is a nice person and as a Doctor he is kind and tells you how it is. His theories however, are outdated and not modern. He was never positive and I always requested for him to become more positive when he saw me. each time I saw him he said that my round is not good and its a very bad cycle but he also said it wouldn't get better. I actually did not agree considering my DOR and asked to proceed with 5 eggs retrieved
The nirse staff [at Troche Fertility Centers] had my cycle mixed up with someone else at one point. They never called to tell me when to stop birth control and when to begin meds. It took the staff over a week and a half to come up with a calenender plan for me. Honestly, After being with my new doctor I could not imagine reliving that nightmare. If I knew now what I do, I would had saved the money and had a better chance somewhere else. The staff doesn't know what is going on, and this is why they do not tell you anything. I have no idea what my numbers were the entire IVF because they never called with updates. They just stated, No News is good news. I feel I was cheated out of my IVF cycle when I had the money.

My best advice is when you start to get that feeling like the office doesn't really care about the overall journey you are facing, to get a second opinion. I know this is the only fertility in the West Valley but the drive is worth the feeling of comfort

Dr. Troche office was not personable to the needs of myself as a person. I was just a number at the location and often felt like they were just using my body as a way to get their stats up. The never communicated anything with me. I felt that my case had begun to be too hard for this center and they have given up on me. They had messed up on meds, and just kept telling me to keep going. everyone I talked to was on the same protocol, this made me feel as if my needs for my body were not considered .

I think that the location is nice and the fact they have a center attached is great. I think the facility is convenient for West Valley commuters. I believe that the price is pretty reasonable . I think the office is very unorganized and that they need to work on bedside manner and work with the community to make the women who come to them feel more human. I think they need to update their research a little more and be more forward thinking to meet individual needs of all clients.

Honestly, I gave this center a fighting chance, especially since I had numerous tell me to switch because they had had bad experiences there. I originally felt comfortable with the staff and doctors on site. Then after my meeting they lost my paperwork, then they never contacted me again and I had to call them in order to figure out my next steps. They lost a lot of my paperwork and I was on the wrong protocol for some of the time and being over stimulated. The Nurse just said its fine, its how its done with no regard to my charts. I was never notified of ANY lab work, Results, retrieval I just kept showing up and that is when I would get a little info. Each day the nurse and doctor would tell me how bad my cycle was and that I wouldn't have success. I felt differently and retrieved 5 eggs two made it on a 3 day fresh however, they did not make it in the end .

Learn to have faith in your physician. IVF is very difficult and even in perfect situations it doesn't always work. After all of the difficulties my husband and I endured with our first physician, Dr Troche was finally the breath of fresh air we needed to be able to continue our IVF journey.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Vladimir Troche at Troche Fertility Centers (closed)?
The difference between Dr Troche and our first IVF physician is night and day. My husband and I are so happy to be with Dr Troche's office after dealing with a year of smokescreens and confusion with our first dr. Dr. Troche takes time to explain procedures and term on your level vs expecting you preemptively to know why every medication is being prescribed. It's hard to understand alot of things when going through IVF because there are so many technical terms used that are specific to just IVF alone and unless you need to go through IVF to try and conceive, you would probably never hear of any of these medications or procedures. Dr. Troche's office is hands-down 100% transparent with all of their charges whether it be cash paying or using insurance. We are still dealing with insurance billing issues resulting from our first physician's office and it has made our IVF journey that much more of a stressful and un-enjoyable experience. We love Dr. Troche and all of his staff because they are the most kind and genuine staff to ever meet and I will forever refer anyone to Dr. Troche. He exudes compassion and you can tell that he cares about you as a patient and you are not just another dollar sign.

Dr. Troche and his team are extremely passionate about helping me and my husband through our fertility journey....At first they were very reserved in my treatment plan until I said I wanted to be more aggressive. I was so happy to have found Dr. Troche and his team. They are a small fertility clinic but every person that works there shows 100% focus on me when I am there. [Dr Troche] didn’t sugar coat anything or give us false hope. He explained what is to be expected to prepared us. He comforted us when we had our second miscarriage under his care...We decided to do IVF to have the embryos tested since both miscarriages were chromosome related (triploidy/partial molar pregnancy - 69 chromosomes and trisomy 7). We completed the egg retrieval and had 29 eggs, 18 mature, 15 fertilized, 6 made it to day 5 and 4 were normal. We transferred one. Due to age and history he said one or two and left the decision up to us. Everything went smoothly although there were many bumps in the road.
[The staff at Troche Fertility Centers] are very organized and thorough. They have a very quick response time. They are also compassionate, especially when we had a miscarriage. They gave us hope and shared their personal experiences as well...[cost of treatment was] Around 20,000...left the [eSet approach] decision up to us due to age and history

Previously before his care, I had used clomid which didn’t work. Femara did. My son died at 3 days old. I had a partial molar pregnancy which resulted in 4 months of chemo. After that Femara alone wasn’t working. Knowing this, after Dr Troché had us complete necessary testing, we went to IUI. We tried Femara with IUI first which didn’t work. Next we tried injectables with IUI which dud euro but it was an early miscarriage at 8 weeks. He left the decision up to us and reminded us that the IUI with injectables worked. There was no pressure to move to IVF. We decided to do IVF to have the embryos tested since both miscarriages were chromosome related (triploidy/partial molar pregnancy - 69 chromosomes and trisomy 7). We completed the egg retrieval and had 29 eggs, 18 mature, 15 fertilized, 6 made it to day 5 and 4 were normal. We transferred one. Due to age and history he said one or two and left the decision up to us. Everything went smoothly although there were many bumps in the road.

Describe Vladimir Troche's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Troche Fertility Centers (closed).
He left the decision up to us due to age and history. He suggested one and was very respectful about it.
He wasn't pushy and wanted us to be comfortable with our next procedures with what he recommended. I wish he performed the IUI himself, it would have made it feel a little more personable but his staff [Troche Fertility Centers] was also excellent. ... Troche took the time to explain things and wanted to focus on my husbands #'s. ... He referred us to a urologist and a varicocelectomy was performed.
Great clinic [Troche Fertility Centers], friendly staff. I wish wait times were slightly less as well as more locations in central Phoenix or west valley. ... I asked if they offered anytype of discounts but that was a no go. ... Nursing staff was amazing. They were very patient with my anxiety and nervousness and explained things step by step. ... Time frames to get in to see him [Dr. Troche] might be a little while so plan ahead.

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Vladimir Troche at Troche Fertility Centers (closed)?
Be patient, there may be slight language barriers. Ask a lot of questions and do your own research.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Vladimir Troche at Troche Fertility Centers (closed)?
He was very thorough as our second doctor. Way different from our first who just wanted our money to do procedures without giving us answers. Troche took the time to explain things and wanted to focus on my husbands #'s. Once we got him up and running, we have yet to succeed so our next steps were another IUI or possible IVF preparation. Troche is very knowledgeable and experienced.

Clomid was used outside of any treatment such as IUI. I researched Femara being a better medication to use without much side effects. I don't recall feeling bad side effects from either medication but Troche was willing to adjust from clomid to Femara and explained the differences. He prescribed a low general dose as my body normally does what it's supposed to on its own. Gave instructions for the HCG trigger and the staff provided us with take home info so we can administer it ourselves once they saw my follicles were at an ideal size and I was ready to ovulate. IUI did not work. Once we came back for a follow up Troche wanted to focus more on my husbands morphology which at the time was 1%. He referred us to a urologist and a varicocelectomy was performed. His numbers went into the "normal" range and we decided to give ourselves time to try naturally. We are now going on 1.5 years from his procedure and are ready to try treatments again.

Insurance doesn't cover a darn thing so everything was out of pocket MINUS SA analysis. All copays were tolerable ($90 I want to say but that could have changed). I asked if they offered anytype of discounts but that was a no go. I wish a simple IUI was cheaper. Grants would be awesome, law enforcement discounts would have helped but nothing was offered. Overall it was manageable.

He [Dr. Vladimir Troche] was hard on me for my weight and type 2 diabetes, but did it in a kind manner and explained to me why it was so important...We went right to IVF due to severe male factor. We did birth control, menopur, gonal-f and cetrotide. Then after retrieval progesterone, suppositories, antibiotics...Dr. Troche was extremely honest and to the point. He wanted the best outcome for us and he was compassionate, funny and caring.
They [Troche Fertility Centers] are efficient, timely and honest. Billing is on top of everything and they are always polite and nice...We had insurance so we sat with the financial counselor and she explained our coverage and what we would need to pay out of pocket. They were very thorough and no surprises...Everyone was amazing. Kori did a great job of communicating with me and keeping me informed. I genuinely believe their staff cares about us and I never had to remind her of my situation and she always put me at ease.

He is blunt and honest and at first you may feel like he is being harsh, but he explains everything and when I was crying after he mentioned my weight, he sought me out and consoled me and told me it would happen, we just had to work at it. Which I did, it meant a lot and I liked that he made my husband understand that he needs to be there and support me through this entire process. He also recognized when I was being successful and acknowledged that. He always explained his reasoning behind things and was very honest about our course of treatment.

He preferred one or two, no more. He is not a fan of multiple births due to the increased complications.
Dr Troche really took the time to listen and genuinely sought our input into the treatment plan. He told us from the beginning he would not do anything we weren’t comfortable with. I always felt our treatment plan was highly personalized just for us.... None of the IUI cycles were successful so he recommended IVF with ICSI due to my husband’s low motility and morphology. We did stimulation with injections and ended up retrieving 36 eggs (28 mature) and attempted to fertilize 8 eggs.
[Troche Fertility Centers-Glendale is] Very clean, organized, took care of all communication with my insurance company. I didn’t have to worry about anything!! The only thing I wish had been different is an option to pay online would have been very convenient, rather than having to pay in person or send a check via mail.... He was hesitant to transfer more than one embryo at a time for me but ultimately, after explaining all risk factors and considerations, he supported our decision to transfer 2 embryos since we had already had a failed cycle of IVF.

Our first IUI was without any meds since we knew for sure that I ovulated every month. That was unsuccessful so the next one we did Clomid. That ended up thinning my uterine lining to much so he switched to another oral med (can’t remember the name).
None of the IUI cycles were successful so he recommended IVF with ICSI due to my husband’s low motility and morphology. We did stimulation with injections and ended up retrieving 36 eggs (28 mature) and attempted to fertilize 8 eggs. 7 were successful but only 4 continued to grow after 3 days. I ended up with OHSS so we froze the 4 embryos and waited about 45 days while my body recovered.
Our first transfer, the first embryo that was prepared did not survive the thawing process, so only one embryo was transferred, which resulted in a chemical pregnancy.
Our second round, Dr Troche said he would be willing to transfer our remaining 2 embryos if we were ok with the idea of having twins. He explained all the risks of a twin pregnancy given my small frame and ultimately supported us in our decision to proceed. Again, however, one embryo did not survive the thawing process so only 1 embryo was transferred. This resulted in a positive pregnancy test and our first ultrasound at 7 weeks confirmed the embryo had split and I had conceived identical twins.
I carried the twins all the way to my scheduled c-section date at 37 weeks and all of use ended up healthy with no complications.
2 years later I spontaneously conceived another baby who was also perfectly healthy. We then asked Dr Troche to dispose of the rest of my frozen eggs since we feel our family is complete.

She [Dr. Gondra] was very honest. She was clear in her treatment and confident. She was very blunt which I like but may be off putting to some. She was pretty involved in the cycles. She was not at every appointment. She did not do all my procedures due to insurance issues.... Pre-cycle was 5 weeks of birth control.I was on ganirelix (to prevent ovulation), menopur and follistim. I had low amh so I was on very high doses of follistim and menopur.
Clinic strengths were very affordable, efficient and upfront. Weaknesses were the front desk phone people could be rude sometimes. The clinic [Troche Fertility Centers] isn't the fanciest so when you walk in they seem not as technology updated but they were and they did everything on site which was nice.... Cycle was around 11k, meds were 4.5k. All ultrasounds were included, retrieval and transfer included, ISCI included. Meds were just the fertility meds. All the steroids, baby aspirin, vitamins, and such were separate at any old pharmacy. Blood work was extra (sent to an outside lab).

The care coordinator was responsible for most of the interaction I had with the clinic. She was fantastic. Although she did have a 'tell' of sorts. If she had bad news she would call later in the day. So I knew when she didn't call early it wasn't going to be good news. Ann did the endometrial scratch and the ultrasounds to check on the progress of the hormones.

We did multiple embryos due to the fact that we did not have many embryos and they might not have made it to freeze.
If it wasn’t for Dr. Troche and his wonderful staff, I wouldn’t have my beautiful 3 year old son. I am very greatful for each and everyone there.... We started out with Clomid to help with ovulation. Then we moved onto a different oral medication. When those didn’t work we went to injections along with a trigger shot. That worked on the 3rd or 4th try but I miscarried. We did one more round with no luck. Then my husband and took a year off from trying. When we went back we did 2 more rounds of injections with no luck. They told me we had little chance of conceiving so we moved to IVF. First round of IVF resulted in my son.
They [Troche Fertility Centers] are amazing! I would tell everyone go check them out. It was easy to make appointments and they even gave me a military discount on my cycle of IVF. The clinic is easy to get to and it’s a very nice facility.... I loved the clinic and all of the staff. I went there for multiple years and when I miscarried, everyone was so supportive.... From the blood drawls to the procedures, everyone was kind, supportive and professional.

Dr. Troche only put in one embryo because he said that 2 wouldn’t be safe. He was worried about me carrying multiples and since I was only 28, he didn’t see a point to adding in more.
The doctor [Dr. Vladimir Troche] is great he tells you the statistics and chances realistically. He doesn’t really believe in experimenting he goes more by the book which can be a negative when you have multiple failed cycles. I do think he is great I just wish he would try more out of the box options...He only will transfer 1
They [Troche Fertility Centers] are awesome at communicating Pretty expensive and money is due up front which most places are. As our frozen embryo transfer was 13 years ago, I do not remember the specifics of the cost. However there was minimal drugs and minimal expense.
While I feel he is not a terrible RE, I believe that could have been other treatments to help determine our issue and find a path for us to become parents...Dr. Troche advised us that we did would not likely benefit front genetic testing. I’m hindsight, I wish we had. It could have cleared up some questions on embryo issues...Our first transfer with the retrieval ( 1 embryo), resulted in a negative. A few months later we completed a FET with 2 embryos, resulting in a chemical pregnancy.
Obtaining my embryos to take to another clinic was the easiest process with this clinic [Troche Fertility Centers]...IVF coordinator (Laura Troche) made us feel as though we were nothing more than a pay check. Her communication was poor throughout the entire process...She informed us of a positive beta ( chemical pregnancy because it was so low), and on the 2 day follow up she failed to inform us of the loss.
How was your experience with Vladimir Troche at Troche Fertility Centers (closed)?
I was referred to Troche from a few people that were successful with him. But given the chance to repeat history I would have chosen a different clinic. Unfortunately, my experience with Troche I would not recommend this clinic. I believe I wasted my one chance at becoming mother.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Vladimir Troche at Troche Fertility Centers (closed)?
While Dr. Troche treated us as better, the IVF coordinator (Laura Troche) made us feel as though we were nothing more than a pay check. Her communication was poor throughout the entire process. She informed us we’re were pregnant (with a number she could not remember) , with such a low number the odds of being viable were not possible, as I educated myself on. On the follow up beta, she failed to call with results, resulting in my husband calling before the clinic closed, to be told that she tried to call. Yet neither one of us had a phone call or message to prove that fact.
Describe the protocols Vladimir Troche used in your cycles at Troche Fertility Centers (closed) and their degree of success.
We were diagnosed with male factor as my husband had poor morphology. We were able to improve the morphology percentage prior to our retrieval. With that diagnosis we decided against IUI and went straight to IVF. While being in our late 20’s/ early 30’s, Dr. Troche advised us that we did would not likely benefit front genetic testing. I’m hindsight, I wish we had. It could have cleared up some questions on embryo issues of implantation issues. Our first transfer with the retrieval ( 1 embryo), resulted in a negative. A few months later we completed a FET with 2 embryos, resulting in a chemical pregnancy.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Troche Fertility Centers (closed). (Assigned nurse: Laura Troche )
The IVF coordinator we originally spoke with was let go at the time of our transfer. Laura has poor communication and seemed disorganized. We had discussed an allergy prior that seemed to be lost in the transition and again in the future we had to reiterate the medication allergy. She informed us of a positive beta ( chemical pregnancy because it was so low), and on the 2 day follow up she failed to inform us of the loss. She states that she called when my husband called the clinic prior to close, yet my husband and I had not missed call, voicemail, email, or anything to that matter.
Describe your experience with Troche Fertility Centers (closed).
The financial coordinator was clear and resourceful. Obtaining my embryos to take to another clinic was the easiest process with this clinic. While I may not be an easy stick for all of the labs involved, I was poked.... repeatedly for seemed to be practice and received attitude when it came time for labs. As a nurse, it was a bad experience. At the new clinic labs were not an issue.

Dr. Troche advised 1 embryos but was willing to transfer 2 after our first failure.
What specific things went wrong at Troche Fertility Centers (closed)?
Dr Behera prefers single transfers but is open to multiple based on the patient. She also prefers frozen to fresh so your body can recover...performed the HCG test herself...is warm and compassionate. She tailors each cycle to the specific circumstances of the patient...took a lot of time in our consultation to explain the process and go over our options, however I felt during the stimulation phase she was inaccessible. I ended up with questions about some of my experiences and could only get answers from the nurse practitioner during the ultrasounds. If I called or emailed after that I was told to wait and ask at my next ultrasound.
I ended up with questions about some of my experiences [at Troche Fertility Center] and could only get answers from the nurse practitioner during the ultrasounds. If I called or emailed after that I was told to wait and ask at my next ultrasound...make sure you ask for what you want from your cycle as far as help with injections and questions about the actual process as they don’t volunteer either of these things...I was on a very high escalating dose due to my bodies poor response (450 of follistim and 225 menopur daily) and I still only got 3 eggs of which only 1 fertilized which was disappointing.

I ended up with questions about some of my experiences and could only get answers from the nurse practitioner during the ultrasounds. If I called or emailed after that I was told to wait and ask at my next ultrasound.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Millie Behera at Troche Fertility Centers (closed)?
She is wonderful but make sure you ask for what you want from your cycle as far as help with injections and questions about the actual process as they don’t volunteer either of these things
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Millie Behera at Troche Fertility Centers (closed)?
Dr Behera is warm and compassionate. She tailors each cycle to the specific circumstances of the patient
Describe the protocols Millie Behera used in your cycles at Troche Fertility Centers (closed) and their degree of success.
I was on a very high escalating dose due to my bodies poor response (450 of follistim and 225 menopur daily) and I still only got 3 eggs of which only 1 fertilized which was disappointing.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Troche Fertility Centers (closed). (Assigned nurse: Jenny)
I wish they had been better teaching me how to do the injections but they were prompt with results and gave clear instructions. The nurse practitioners that did the ultrasounds were wonderful
Describe your experience with Troche Fertility Centers (closed).
They don’t treat you like a number, you don’t line up in the morning and go one by one but it is more expensive than the clinics that do this. The office is clean and bright and the surgical center is next door which made the egg retrieval less stressful than finding a new location. Also, Dr Behera performed the HCG test herself and they are all very careful to keep the patients as comfortable as possible which is superior to others I have heard about
Describe the costs associated with your care under Millie Behera at Troche Fertility Centers (closed).
Egg retrevial is $10,900 and transfer is an additional $3,000. This is due at your baseline appointment. They provide resources related to financing IVF
Describe Millie Behera's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Troche Fertility Centers (closed).
Dr Behera prefers single transfers but is open to multiple based on the patient. She also prefers frozen to fresh so your body can recover
