This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.
For more information please see our FAQs.
Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.

How was your experience with Kyle Tobler at Womack Army Medical Center?
Even though I didn’t/don’t get to see him much. He always puts in orders, meds and is on top of it for us. He’s right down to the point but in the most caring way. He’s laid out several options for us, since my husbands deployed half the year every year he understands the difficulties with both 1. Infertility on top of constant 2. Deployments. My husband was Injured in an IED accident in 2009, which just adds more fuel to the fire but Dr Tobler always comes in to help put the fire out.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Kyle Tobler at Womack Army Medical Center?
You won’t be disappointed. He wants to genuinely get you pregnant. He listens, he’s kind, he gives options but mostly he treats you as a human and not “just another patient. “
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Kyle Tobler at Womack Army Medical Center?
Being at an Army clinic I know military medicine. Dr Tobler though took the time to explain things and gave us our best options without making us feel belittled or rushed.
Describe the protocols Kyle Tobler used in your cycles at Womack Army Medical Center and their degree of success.
We’ve tried Clomid, thyroid meds, I’ve had 3 saline sonograms, 3 Dye sonograms, I was on gonal-f and menopur , my husband started HCG in January’s since 4 semen analysis were 0! The HCG worked!!! And now we have a 5 vials of sperm frozen when the other Drs told us no to HCG over a year ago. We already had our donor sperm picked out and ready to go.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Womack Army Medical Center. (Assigned nurse: Dorian )
Dori has been on this rollercoaster with us for 4 years. She is incredible with the amount of patients she sees daily. Her main goal is to get you pregnant. She never misses a beat and calls back within the day if you leave a message. She’s been a god-send handling my husband and I’s schedule and calling us both back separately for different needs and questions. She gets right down to the nitty-gritty but does it in a light that doesn’t make you feel defeated and sad. We have her on speed-dial 🤪
Describe your experience with Womack Army Medical Center.
It seems intimidating at first. The orientation, the first visit with your assigned DR, the schedules, the phone calls(and missing them) and calling back only to leave a message. But trust me, they will get back to you. They always make time for you. Don’t feel alone because they truly only want to help you! They are all so great!
Describe the costs associated with your care under Kyle Tobler at Womack Army Medical Center.
$450 total for sperm freezing
$9,800 for ICSI IVF (cancelled because of corona virus)
Describe Kyle Tobler's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Womack Army Medical Center.
He told us to only transfer one embryo. He said multiple births is a medical mistake/not good.
What specific things went wrong at Womack Army Medical Center?
Lost appointments
Failed to order appropriate test
Describe the specific things that went wrong at Womack Army Medical Center.
I think the 1 appointment that was messed up was a scheduling error only bc we chose to move to the next cycle. But they still fit us in that day since we were there.
we only had 1 embryo by the day of transfer [with Dr. Kyle Tobler]...I think he's over-worked and he has too many patients to try to keep track of. I appreciated his knowledge but some of the things he would say I wasn't too sure about. We had our first consultation and then ended up getting pregnant but resulted in an early miscarriage. When we saw him next to chat about the miscarriage, he said "Looks like all you needed was a consultation!". That clearly wasn't the right thing to say considering I had miscarried and was back in his office to try an IUI.
We got 4 mature eggs from retrieval [at Womack Army Medical Center] and by Day 5 transfer, I had one low grade embryo and none left to freeze. That transfer failed. We also did 5 IUI's prior to our IVF and I felt as though the medications could've been managed differently too...Each IUI was $240 for the sperm wash. I never received a bill for any of that...you feel like you're just a number and not really name sometimes. The positives to the clinic, are the discounted prices you receive and you almost never have to pay for meds so that helps the stress and anxiety of infertility. Another negative, if you're doing IUI, they don't bring you in on the weekends, so if your ovulation occurs then, you don't get the chance to do an IUI.

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Kyle Tobler at Womack Army Medical Center?
Just spend the extra money and go somewhere else.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Kyle Tobler at Womack Army Medical Center?
The team at Fort Bragg tries hard to get everyone into a treatment cycle for whichever treatment they want to do but when doing that, they just create an environment where people feel neglected. You feel as if you're just a number and they don't necessarily take your problems seriously.
Describe the protocols Kyle Tobler used in your cycles at Womack Army Medical Center and their degree of success.
I am a young, healthy woman so when I was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve, everyone was a little surprised. I was told by Dr. Tobler we would do a high dosage for medications, he said "we're not messing around with this" so I fully trusted him to make that call on dosage. The staff at the clinic also said things about how I'm young and age trumps any lab result so I should respond well to the medications. We got 4 mature eggs from retrieval and by Day 5 transfer, I had one low grade embryo and none left to freeze. That transfer failed. We also did 5 IUI's prior to our IVF and I felt as though the medications could've been managed differently too.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Womack Army Medical Center.
The nursing staff are definitely overworked. Sometimes I felt like they didn't remember me when I would ask questions about my care. They would end up asking me questions about when my next visit was scheduled for and if we ended up having any embryos to freeze. If the staff had less patient load, they could make it feel more personable.
Describe your experience with Womack Army Medical Center.
Womack REI is a good clinic to go to. They do have some downfalls, you feel like you're just a number and not really name sometimes.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Kyle Tobler at Womack Army Medical Center.
Each IUI was $240 for the sperm wash. I never received a bill for any of that. Medications were through the pharmacy and were free. Once in a while, you'd order from Freedom Fertility and would have a co-pay of no more than $30.00. IVF was $8,600. We did a fresh transfer and had no embryos to freeze. We did not do genetic testing.
Describe Kyle Tobler's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Womack Army Medical Center.
We didn't have to discuss this because we only had 1 embryo by the day of transfer.
What specific things went wrong at Womack Army Medical Center?
Dr Plowden at first wanted to know the underlying cause of things. I did get a laparoscopy, before she did warn me that I may lose both my tubes because in the HSG they both looked blocked. I woke up from surgery and I kept them both and they were both open. I felt as though she never wanted to repeat tests such as HSGs or SAs for my husband so we did unnecessary surgeries or took unnecessary prescriptions...I was put on lupron Depot for 3 months, it took 6 months for my cycle to return. She felt that it would help my endo, fibroids, and there was a question of me having adenomyosis. During that time my husband was put on clomid. We had to fight to get SAs our in for his process.
[The nurses at Womack Army Medical Center] treated us like we were a number...When I originally went in I was there for my cycles and trying to get the flow under control, I had 3 people ask me at this appt if I was here to get an IUD. Which was frustrating...We would pay out of pocket for all ART procedures, they would have us go off base to the Fayetteville Fertility Clinic for sperm washes and IVF procedures...Making appointments is overly complicated, they have a specific IVF cell phone that one person manages. They turn this phone off between IVF cycles. Strengths would be that they get their lab results faster that anyone else. Weaknesses, their communication between each other and each visit is lacking.
How was your experience with Torie Plowden at Womack Army Medical Center?
Dr Plowden at first wanted to know the underlying cause of things. I did get a laparoscopy, before she did warn me that I may lose both my tubes because in the HSG they both looked blocked. I woke up from surgery and I kept them both and they were both open. I felt as though she never wanted to repeat tests such as HSGs or SAs for my husband so we did unnecessary surgeries or took unnecessary prescriptions.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Torie Plowden at Womack Army Medical Center?
Know your body and information before seeing her. Know your questions and make sure they are answered.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Torie Plowden at Womack Army Medical Center?
With the Womack fertility clinic I feel that if you aren’t paying for IVF right now and you have other underlying factors then you are pushed aside and your treatment and focus is minimal.
Describe the protocols Torie Plowden used in your cycles at Womack Army Medical Center and their degree of success.
I was put on lupron Depot for 3 months, it took 6 months for my cycle to return. She felt that it would help my endo, fibroids, and there was a question of me having adenomyosis. During that time my husband was put on clomid. We had to fight to get SAs our in for his process. After Lupron, I had a laparoscopy because my HSG (before taking lupron) showed that my tubes were blocked. Results came back with no blockage, and fibroid was smaller. She decided to switch my husband to femara for 3 months because clomid was not reacting well with him. During that time she was MIA, I ended up making an appointment 2 months in for myself because I had been spotting for 2 weeks (which is very abnormal for me, my cycles are every 32 days and they are heavy), she did a pregnancy test and told me that sometimes it can happen. At this appt she went over my husband’s last labs with me (that he did over a month ago) and told me his count was up but motility was still 8%, his LFH was high and she recommended he stopped taking his meds. She said she would not let us do IUI with 7 being out total motal count and that was it.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Womack Army Medical Center.
They treated us like we were a number as well. When I originally went in I was there for my cycles and trying to get the flow under control, I had 3 people ask me at this appt if I was here to get an IUD. Which was frustrating.

Making appointments is overly complicated, they have a specific IVF cell phone that one person manages. They turn this phone off between IVF cycles. Describe the costs associated with your care under Torie Plowden at Womack Army Medical Center.
The prescriptions and visits were covered with insurance. We would pay out of pocket for all ART procedures, they would have us go off base to the Fayetteville Fertility Clinic for sperm washes and IVF procedures
What specific things went wrong at Womack Army Medical Center?
Failed to call in prescriptions to pharmacy
Failed to call with results
Failed to order appropriate test
Failed to consider drug intolerance
Lost or damaged samples
Describe the specific things that went wrong at Womack Army Medical Center.
The labs would lose or contaminate my husbands SA results. When they would put in prescriptions or lab orders they would forget. I would show up to the pharmacy and not have all my prescriptions. My husbands labs were not always in the system and we would have to call the clinic to get them put in.
Everything was very much like herding cattle because they were seeing a good sized group all at once. So no real personal contact. Very rushed. Until I got ohss then I was treated as I would hope to be and had already been.... he [Dr. Tobler] is a good doctor, but you will not have much personal one on one time, as we all felt like cattle being herded. It’s very rushed. Hard to understand what’s happening and the whole process since everything is done in a large group all at once.
Being as I was seeing a doctor at a military treatment facility, that portion was covered, the lab used is civilian owned and contracted with the government/army etc.... I believe this clinic [Womack Army Med Ctr] does care about their patients, but being army, they must do it in groups and it’s chaotic. But our experience was overall good, and we got a “baby in our arms”, as said was their goal, but she wasn’t breathing.... The clinic doctor and nurse have been very compassionate concerning our loss.
How was your experience with Kyle Tobler at Womack Army Medical Center?
Everything was very much like herding cattle because they were seeing a good sized group all at once. So no real personal contact. Very rushed.
Until I got ohss then I was treated as I would hope to be and had already been.
And once we lost Charlie-Jo at 36 weeks he was compassionate and willing to work us in for future cycles.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Kyle Tobler at Womack Army Medical Center?
That he is a good doctor, but you will not have much personal one on one time, as we all felt like cattle being herded. It’s very rushed. Hard to understand what’s happening and the whole process since everything is done in a large group all at once. You must give your own trigger shot. But If a serious health issue arises he will give you personal attention.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Kyle Tobler at Womack Army Medical Center?
Ivf being done at army facility, they only do I believe 4 a year, they put everyone in a group and do everyone at once bussing in and out like cattle. Very chaotic. Not much one on one time, until I developed severe ohss by day 5, day of my transfer. We had to change to a freeze all, and I had 2 embryos to freeze and 2 morulas, which they tell us are riskier to use, best to do another full cycle and make more embryos because we are both so traumatized from losing Charlie-Jo Gracelynn at 36 weeks, we agree we want more many more embryos to feel secure we may have a chance. After I developed severe ohss, I got more one on one personal time. After we lost Charlie they have tried to work with us on getting in a cycle in March/April for egg retrieval, but must wait until August for a transfer because they don’t do cycles all year.
Describe the protocols Kyle Tobler used in your cycles at Womack Army Medical Center and their degree of success.
I honestly don’t remember most of the shots. Menopure & gonal and something else, I had 3 different ones and one of them I had an allergic reaction to and had to take Benadryl to help curb the side affects.
Then there was the trigger shot.
I took 2 different suppositories before transfer and and continued one of them 3 times a day.
I also wore a hormone patch 3 days and then replace.
I have a calendar somewhere with the protocol I can find and send later.
Oh! And baby aspirin.
And a Valium the morning of transfer.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Womack Army Medical Center. (Assigned nurse: Dori )
Dealing with nurse Dori was amazing. She always took the extra time to explain things and even stayed on the phone with me to help me get through giving myself a trigger shot before I flew back the next day to do transfer. I don’t like needles so she helped me best she could from afar. She always is very responsive via phone, text, or email. Absolutely perfect for her position couldn’t have anyone better.

I believe this clinic does care about their patients, but being army, they must do it in groups and it’s chaotic. But our experience was overall good, and we got a “baby in our arms”, as said was their goal, but she wasn’t breathing. We made it to 36 weeks with Charlie-Jo before delivering our sleeping beauty. The clinic doctor and nurse have been very compassionate concerning our loss.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Womack Army Medical Center.
It was a cattle call with patients staggered and constantly full waiting room and hectic.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Kyle Tobler at Womack Army Medical Center.
Being as I was seeing a doctor at a military treatment facility, that portion was covered, the lab used is civilian owned and contracted with the government/army etc. Our cost was $9,800 and $2,500 for thawing 2 embryos/morulas at a time.
We pay a sperm storage fee of 30$ a month I believe, and 50$ a month for our 2 morulas.
Of course airfare, and hotel stay until the Fischer house had an opening and I was able to stay there and be close within walking distance of hospital.
Describe Kyle Tobler's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Womack Army Medical Center.
I was on board widh transferring 2 embryos as reccomendes.
It resulted in one 36 week stillborn beautiful daughter. We would agree to transfer 2 embryos again.
What specific things went wrong at Womack Army Medical Center?
Failed to order appropriate test
Failed to consider drug intolerance
Describe the specific things that went wrong at Womack Army Medical Center.
When I was put to sleep for the egg retrieval, I remember crying in pain. Dr. Tobler later told me that the anesthesiologist failed to give me enough meds and I was moving a lot, I believe this is why I didn’t have more eggs retrieved due to this because they’d counted up more on ultrasound but couldn’t get to them. That was my only frustration and kind of let down. Especially now with losing Charlie, and only 2 morulas left which are more risky to use I am told.
Dr. Parker was thorough and kind. He was proactive and made me feel important. He made me feel as though my infertility was important to him as well as me. Dr. Parker was always pushing for further testing and made sure all procedures, tests etc. were done correctly and that I fully understood the outcomes. He performed a surgery on me as well as my fertility treatments and I left the surgery feeling positive and relieved. I ALWAYS knew I was in good hands.
once I was there [Womack Army] I was well taken care of. I never had a wait, or issues getting appointments, tests and procedures were flexible and easy to schedule...Dori was amazing. I literally cannot say enough great things about her. She made me feel like I was important and she was invested in the outcome of my treatment....All procedures performed at Womack were covered by TriCare insurance. We received some meds from the office for free as well. Meds that we had to purchase were under $100 total. The IVF procedures were done at an offsite fertility clinic

Be positive, patient, and ask questions. Dr. Parker was always more than willing to sit and answer every question I had.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Jason Parker at Womack Army Medical Center?
Jason Parker and his entire team (especially Dorian Eldridge) went above and beyond to explain things, understand my feelings, show compassion, talk about the future, the past etc. They were personal, friendly and just amazing.
Describe the protocols Jason Parker used in your cycles at Womack Army Medical Center and their degree of success.
I do not remember the specific medications we used for each IVF cycle. However, after my unsuccessful IVF cycle, we did change meds. We also used ICSI and I ended up having more eggs fertilized which lead to me implanting 2 (live birth) and freezing 4.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Womack Army Medical Center. (Assigned nurse: Dorian Eldridge)
Dori was amazing. I literally cannot say enough great things about her. She made me feel like I was important and she was invested in the outcome of my treatment. After graduating from the RE, I was sad that I no longer got to see Dori.

All procedures performed at Womack were covered by TriCare insurance. We received some meds from the office for free as well. Meds that we had to purchase were under $100 total. Describe Jason Parker's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Womack Army Medical Center.
Dr. Parker was very supportive of my wants to transfer 2 embryos for each cycle. He never pushed me to do anything I wasn't comfortable with and fully explained risks of multiples etc.
[Dr. Parker is a] Very compassionate doctor. I didn’t get the results I was hoping for but he did seem to care that it never worked for us. Personally called me with results which meant a lot in such a dark time. I know he had great success in his clinic so I don’t doubt his ability a bit. Always tried to explain things even when it wasn’t what I wanted to hear... looking back I could have maybe benefited from something different.
[Womack Army Medical Center] is within the military and we could only do IVF with the outside clinic 4 times a year. Meaning multiple woman were on the same cycle, you’d see 3-5 women at your procedure. All happened quick...Tried to make patients not feel like a number but that had to have been hard considering there were lots of us at each treatment cycle. Always spoke nicely, worked long hard hours and basically ran down hallways she was so busy. Excellent nurse

As best as I remember the clinic received drugs from grants so the medicine wasn’t changed up each cycle bc what they had was “free” to us. I don’t doubt the protocols were good bc he had great success but it didn’t work for me and looking back I could have maybe benefited from something different.

Be prepared to wait for a long time in the lab since the clinic is in an army hospital. Also be prepared for students to draw your blood...which also means they can be very terrible for people who don’t have easy veins like myself
Describe the costs associated with your care under Jason Parker at Womack Army Medical Center.
We had a discounted rate for IVF at the clinic off the base. Most medicine was free and given to us at the clinic
From the beginning, Dr. Tobler and his staff were very welcoming and catered to our every need...He was real and honest with me from the start and made me aware of what he believed my cause of infertility was. No other doctor was able to diagnose me and without him and his staff,I wouldn’t be pregnant with my rainbow baby...has helped me conceive in just the short 6 months we’ve been with him. He helped break down every procedure and walk me through the steps that he was wanting to take to help me conceive. If I had any questions he was quick to answer all of them and even returned my phone calls in a very timely manner.
Stephanie [at Womack Army Medical Center] was hands down the best nurse that I’ve had. She has always been quick to return phone calls and takes her time to answer all of my questions...Being that this was a military facility and we did not have to undergo IVF or IUI, it has been free so far...They don’t waste your time and make you go through pointless procedures/medicines. They find the perfect medicines for your needs and recommend procedures that will only help in your journey to conceiving. There are no weaknesses to this clinic.

Being that this was a military facility and we did not have to undergo IVF or IUI, it has been free so far.
He [Dr. Tobler] seemed distract and not concerned with my situation. He was super short and didn’t fully answer questions. He was nice overall. He does do well with interacting with patients. My main concern is their ability to treat IUI patients with the same care and concern as their IVF patients.... I was on 75 of gonalF and then the pregnyl trigger shot. I started gonalF on day 3 of my cycle and did IUI day 8.... The nurses so much more concern and care than the doctors.
They were in the middle of an IVF cycle and I felt like they did not care about IUI patients.... They get bogged down with phone calls. Sometimes I would relieve callas as late as 10pm at night with lab results.... Due to this clinic being military and only serving military families and IUI will cost $260.... Strength is that they are all very nice. Weakness is that they can get distracted and take too much on. Strength is that they will call you back in a timely manner. Weakness is that if you are an IUI patient during and IVF cycle you will be put on the back burner. Sometimes within the clinic you can feel like just a number to the doctors, but I truly believe the nurses care.

Several times I had to chase down results during a cycle or while experiencing a miscarriage. Neither were pleasant situations and caused emotional stress.
Dr. Tobler took his time to explain my diagnosis and the bet course of action to take.... I am honestly impressed with the infertility clinic at womack. I am more than a number. They have diagnosed me with things that other doctors have told me were just inexplicable.... My last cycle was 5 mg of femara and 75 iu of gonal-f. I still do not know the results of the IUI, but I am hopeful, we will be doing 2 more IUI's before moving into IVF.
Stephanie is by far the best nurse in the infertility clinic [Womack Army], she takes the time to call me back in a timely manner, she even calls when she knows that I am on my breaks from work or after I am off from work. When I have, what my husband calls "silly concerns" she answers them anyway. I am very grateful for her and all of the dedication she puts into my care.

There were a few times that I had called in for a prescription and the pharmacy never received them because the doctor didn't sign off on it.
Dr. Parker has done a great job in setting out a great plan for us. Initially we came in expecting IVF with ICSI right away and he went ahead and let us try some IUIs. Even though they weren't successful we are grateful that he didn't jump to the most extreme option instantly.... Be prepared to see Dr. Parker or one of his 3 under-doctors at the clinic. All of them are wonderful
All of the nursing staff [at Womack Army Med Ctr] is great in their own ways. Dori is the IVF coordinator and though sometimes she makes you feel a little rushed she always returns calls, emails, and text promptly and shows concern when needed. Natalie is less personable than the rest of the staff but once you meet her a few times her bluntness is less harsh. And Stephanie is a blessing. She is always smiling, takes time to talk about things other than treatments (gets to know you!) and just provides a warm environment.

I developed a UTI during treatment and the nurse failed to let me know I needed to pick up an ordered presciption at the pharmacy, it had been called in but no one let me know I did infact have a UTI
He [Dr. Tobler] is very nice and down to earth. My overall experience went very well without any hitches which I was very worried about. I always wanted to know how each step went and was always very well informed and given time to ask all of my questions.... I always felt like I was the only patient. They [Womack Army Medical] knew exactly how I was feeling or would tell me how I would likely feel (and were usually correct), and they were very informative with each step (which I really liked)
They [Womack Army Medical Center] are a busy clinic so you have to be proactive in asking questions and having them ready. But if you forget Dorian is always reachable and they are there to help you. They are very detail oriented for a reason so don't be intimidated by this, it is only to help make everything run smoothly.... With Tricare Prime, all my medications and visits were completely covered. I only payed for the IVF procedure which was around $8500

He [Dr. Jason Parker] is calm and kind. He listens well and when I was sad and frustrated he showed compassion and meant it. He made sure I was seen until I felt comfortable. He suggested tests never to make more money, but to genuinely find out why I kept miscarrying...He always asked what I wanted and ultimately guided and supported gently. He took time for me even when I didn’t have an appointment. He is super!
IVF w/ ICSI and PGD ran about $14000 [at Womack Army Medical Center]. FET about $5000. Not including meds...It’s at WAMC. You have to be military or a dependent. Getting an appointment is a bit hard because they are busy. But once you’re seen you’re set. I went there from 2006 to 2016. They’ve grown and added doctors. I can’t speak for the other doctors as I have only seen Doc P

Dr. Tobler is thorough in his explanations. His knowledge and passion for fertility is obvious as he discussed our case with us...helped us get pregnant with Gonal-F and IUI on the FIRST try...You won't find a more professional, passionate, and knowledgeable infertility doctor!...He recommended ICSI. If we didn't do ICSI, we likely would not have had any embyos...Given that my wife is 39 years old, he said he felt transferring 2 embryo's was safe and would increase our chance of pregnancy and live birth.
Dori [nurse at Womack Army Medical Center] is amazing. She helped us get everything we needed, despite living in Texas. For example, she coordinated us staying in the Fisher house. She puts herself on call 24-7 during IVF cycles to be available to her patients. When we had to ask her questions during off-hours, she responded with her usual enthusiasm and compassion...Despite us being in a very busy IVF cycle, we had our needs met and never felt like we were being rushed along.

Again, we got pregnant on the FIRST try!! :D You won't find a more professional, passionate, and knowledgeable infertility doctor!
