From the start of receiving my PCOS diagnosis in 2018, Dr. Delaney has been informative, re-assuring, and compassionate. In 2019, we transferred our first embryo which unfortunately did not stick around. Dr. Delaney felt this was primarily due to thin uterine lining. When I was ready to try again, Dr. Delaney wanted me to gain 10-15 pounds to increase estrogen levels and build a more robust uterine lining. I finally achieved my goal weight, although my second transfer was canceled on two occasions. One transfer was canceled due to thin uterine lining and the second was for OHSS complications leading to a short hospitalization. It should be noted that I was being monitored by other REs when my OHSS peaked, as Dr. Delaney was not available. It was Dr. Delaney, however, who determined my labs were critical and that I needed IV hydration. During my hospitalization, Dr. Delaney admitted my case was more complicated than she initially anticipated. She shared with me that she closely communicates with her colleagues to determine the best and safest protocol to achieve our desired results. This was reassuring to know she cared enough to reach out to other specialists to help us achieve the results we've been praying for. Unfortunately, we have yet to see a positive pregnancy test after two transfers.

Take notes and advocate for yourself like you would with any other doctor. Remember that you are the customer and your RE is providing a service. Your questions and concerns are valid, as you're the one putting your body, emotions, and finances on the line. Don't be afraid to ask "stupid" questions.

For my egg retrieval, I remember stimulating with Follistim. I also used Ganirelix and a Lupron trigger to prevent OHSS. As I prepared for my first transfer, I was using oral/vaginal/transdermal estrogen (unsure of dose), baby Aspirin, and progesterone in oil. I may have been taking something else, although it’s been so long I can’t remember. In preparing for my second transfer, Dr. Delaney's goal was to increase circulation to my uterus. Therefore, I was on the following medications: vaginal estrace 2x/daily, 1/2 tab vaginal Cialis, L-arginine, baby Aspirin, Del-Estrogen every third day, and progesterone in oil.

Monitoring appointments were first come first serve. Depending on the day, there could be a lengthy line down the hall. Knowing this, I always showed up at the time the clinic opened or even a bit earlier so I could commute to work. It has never been a problem with my schedule. I do, however, wish they allowed more time for questions/concerns following the monitoring appointment. I felt rushed sometimes and felt privacy to ask these questions was limited, as you are sometimes exposed to other patients due to the work space.

At the time, my egg retrieval expense was approximately $7,100. PGS testing for up to 8 embryos was $1,200. Cryopreservation of embryos was $1,000. Frozen embryo transfer was about $4,400. Medication expenses varied depending on the pharmacy for us. I would say we typically spent anywhere from $400-$1,000 on medications for egg retrieval and each transfer prep. This is a rough estimate!

Dr. Delaney wasn't opposed to doing an embryo transfer with two embryos, as we discussed this to increase chances for success. Although she did not recommend doing a multiple embryo transfer at this time, as we have PGS tested embryos.

I felt comfortable with Dr. Delaney as soon as I met her the first time. She explained everything in detail and would always pause to ask if we had questions. She used models and pictures to show us what she meant. She was extremely compassionate and reassuring when discussing that our infertility diagnosis was not our fault and how she was going to help us overcome the obstacles we were given to start our family.

Make an appointment now! Don’t delay getting help from a specialist

Dr. Delaney first had me complete a sonohysterogram before beginning my treatments. For my first IUI cycle I used Gonal-F injections and a trigger shot with regular monitoring. I had previously completed cycles with Clomid with my regular OBGYN and she wanted to take a more aggressive approach. We are still waiting on results of this IUI cycle! I responded very well to the prescribed medicine.

One round of IUI ran $2,000-3,000. My meds were only $650 after I qualified for a discount program.

Dr Delaney’s a wonderful doctor who is compassionate, caring, understanding and extremely smart and capable of helping a patient determine the best path and what options are available. I have multiple friends that were only successful with Dr Delaney and everyone told me that they believe she just has the magic touch as each one was also successful having babies with her and now I am also expecting my first baby in 6 weeks! We had multiple setbacks during our journey, but I always felt like she had a plan for what our next step would be and she was there to hold my hand. She is a great listener, she cares deeply for her patients and truly wants the best for each and every one. Infertility is such a struggle and doesn’t always work out, but I truly believe she will exhaust all options available to help a patient be successful and think outside the box depending on each individual situation. She has a carefully crafted strategy and was extremely good at communicating so I was fully aware of what was happening and what our options were at all times. I truly believe I would not have been successful getting pregnant without Dr Delaney and will forever be grateful.

I initially went to meet her in 2019 and she recommended I remove my Fallopian tubes at the time due to severe endometriosis and a very bad appendectomy surgery 10 years ago. I was not ready to do this and wasted 18 months having other surgeries in hopes I could one day conceive naturally. Had I listened to her from day one I would have saved a lot of time and money. I went back to her to move forward with IVF. We did one egg retrieval and were successful with 6 embryos. We tried the first embryo transfer and it was not successful. She determined I need to get the inflammation under control and we tried a few months of lupron to settle the endometriosis. We also did a biopsy of the uterine lining to determine the precise moment in which an embryo would be most successful attaching to my lining. After the lupron and biopsy were complete, she engaged with a specialist to remove my Fallopian tubes which were stuck due to extreme scar tissue and required a robotic surgery. Upon recovery we went right into the next embryo transfer and were successful!

Due to my age and number of embryos I have we decided to only do one transfer at a time as I also am nervous of having multiples.

We felt Dr Delaney wasn’t a good communicator and that was the main issue. She didn’t get to know me or my husband at all and so she didn’t fully understand what we were wanting to get out of treatment. She was very intimidating to talk to and it was very hard to ask questions. We found out later on in treatment that she neglected to give us some very basic tips that could have helped us (don’t exercise, for example). Finally, she was not compassionate to our losses at all. We had 3 while we were in treatment, and she didn’t say a word. At the end of several failed cycles, she said she would only continue treating us if we used donor eggs going forward. We decided to walk away at that point. The next time my husband and I tried, we became pregnant, and carried the pregnancy to term. This, above all else, makes me question all of the treatment we received under Dr Delaney’s care and with this clinic.

In retrospect, I think she is severely biased against older patients. I would recommend strongly against seeing her or even going to this clinic if you are over 35. If you’re younger, would still recommend looking elsewhere unless you have a relatively easy to solve issue (that seems to be the type of patient she is looking for!)

3 IUIs, 2 IVFs that failed and were converted to IUIs. Not sure why she did 3 IUIs - we had reduced ovarian reserve + low sperm count. Later on we found out the standard protocol for low ovarian reserve is to move to IVF after 1 IUI.

Dr Abigail Delaney is one of a kind, she puts her heart into her job and it shows day in and day out. The fertility world is full of ups and downs and i never felt alone throughout my journey. She was always very transparent with me allowing me to process the info and make informed decisions for what was best for me and my family. I had a very complicated and somewhat rare diagnosis and i don’t feel that i would’ve had the successes that I’ve had in becoming a mother if it weren’t for Dr Delaney and her persistence and hopefulness in the process. She’s passionate and determined and she isn’t afraid to ask for help if she needs it. She consulted with other doctors to ensure she was on track with our plan of care and as a patient that reassurance is nice too. Having complete faith and trust in Dr Delaney was easy for me, she made it that way and I’ll be visiting her again soon when we’re ready to try again.

Have faith and trust in the process, it takes time and it’s not easy and it’s not always going to be the outcome you want on the first try but know the Dr Delaney is going to do everything she can to give you the outcome you’re hoping for

We elected to do single embryo transfer as that was the safest option for me and baby due to my cervical issues being able to safely carry if it were to be successful (which was the right choice because with both pregnancies i had to get a cerclage placed to carry to term).

I would describe Dr. Delaney as kind, smart and confident. She clearly outlined our treatment path and how that could change based on how my body responded. She took time to ask if I had any questions at each appointment and answer them clearly. During my first treatment cycle, I took 5mg letrozole CD3-7, and at my first monitoring ultrasound, Dr. Delaney calmly told me, pending blood work, it appeared I had already ovulated literally hours prior, and we'd likely need to cancel the IUI. It was disappointing, obviously, but she handled the situation in a way that prevented me from spiraling. She personally called with the blood work results to tell me I had ovulated and what we would do differently next cycle.

Come to your appointments with questions ready, since on the phone you primarily dealt with nurses.

My husband had a normal and in fact strong sperm analysis, save low morphology. My tests (CD3 blood work, a saline sono, and ultrasound) came back normal, apart from subclinical hypothyroidism. She explained that if I weren't TTC, my TSH level would be fine but since I'm planning a pregnancy, she wanted me on a low dose of levothyroxine to lower that number below 2.5. During our first treatment cycle, I was instructed to call on CD1 and come in on CD3 for a baseline ultrasound. During that CD3 appointment, I saw a different doctor who told me to come back on CD14 for my first monitoring appointment. (I typically ovulated between CD16-19.) Dr. Delaney had prescribed 5 mg of letrozole on cycle days three through seven to "strengthen" ovulation and potentially recruit more than one follicle so the sperm would have multiple targets. When I came to my monitoring appointment, Dr. Delaney did my ultrasound and determined I had already ovulated from two follicles. She told me we'd follow the same treatment path, but I would come in on CD11 instead for my first monitoring appointment. We did that during our second treatment cycle. I used 10,000 units of Pregnyl to trigger ovulation the night of my monitoring appointment and returned ~36 hours later for our IUI. My husband had an abnormally low post-wash count of 4 million. The clinic will do IUI with counts as low as 2 million – they did not explain why they were willing to go that low. The IUI was not successful.

I honestly don’t have enough good things to say about Dr. Delaney. Coming from a doctor who I felt somewhat gave up on our case, she got me through one of the hardest times of my life. And although it wasn’t an easy road, she handled the bumps in a way that kept me comfortable throughout the entire grueling process. I never doubted that she would get us a family and she made sure that I didn’t.

Sometimes the process takes time and a LOT of effort on you and the doctors part, but if you can, give it that time! It’s not always a quick fix, but If you let her, Dr. Delaney will put her entire heart into getting you your desired family!

Gonal F for stimulation for retrieval and also for stimulated transfers because my lining wouldn’t thicken for transfers with estrogen. I only had one retrieval with her, but had 27 eggs retrieved, 15 day 5 embryos and 6 viable after PGS.

I felt like she really rushed and pushed us to pursue IVF. She said it was our only option to get pregnant. I felt like there maybe should have been new blood work tests done for me since she was looking at some from my OB office and all the results were good on those. I also feel like I should have had a ultrasound or scan done to make sure everything was good for me on the inside. There was no talk on things that could be done to help my husbands SA. He later went to a urologist and received help there, but that was never mentioned as an option at the time. We were two 25 year old, newlyweds with student debt and had no way to afford IVF. I just felt like more could have been checked/discussed before jumping right into that option. We decided to make some lifestyle changes, get healthy, and take time off from doctors. We will see a second one later this year.

If you feel like something was off or not right about your appointment, get a second opinion

I absolutely love Dr. Delaney. I don’t have any complaints about her. I always feel cared for and she always seems invested in my success. Throughout this whole process I have always felt that she has been rooting for us and truly hopes she helps us to become parents.

Be honest with her and don’t be afraid to ask questions.

We tried one round of iui with Femara and it was cancelled so we have always done injectable medication. After trying three iui’s, our doctor said she would do one more if we wanted but we didn’t want to waste the money on something that wasn’t working. With the egg retrieval cycle, she adjusted my meds whenever necessary and tried to find the sweet spot between getting a lot of eggs and overstimulation me.

It was first come first serve hours. The only complaint I have about this is that the building opened at 6am and the office opened at 6:30 am and we all had to wait outside the door in the hallway. It always bothers me that they never have chairs out in the hallway for us. We pay a lot of money to sit on the floor. I also wish there was some way for us to know how many people are supposed to be coming in the morning. Some days the line outside the door is 3 people and sometimes it’s 15.

Monitoring ultrasounds were $225 each, bloodwork $94 each time. Iui was $800. Egg retrieval was $7,100. Biopsy of up to 8 embryos $1,200. Cryopreservation of embryos $1,000. Frozen transfer $4,398.

From the moment that I had my initial consultation I had a renewed sense of hope for a course of treatment. My wife and I had been trying for a year already with donor sperm at home. I had a chemical pregnancy and a missed miscarriage in that time. Dr. Delaney was very kind and hopeful that with some additional testing and treatment, I may be able to have a successful pregnancy. She answers my questions and seems to genuinely care about me as her patient.

I would tell a prospective patient that Dr. Delaney is very kind and to try to be patient because all of this fertility treatment takes a long time.

I had baseline testing and an ultrasound for one monitoring cycle. I was then put on 75 iu of Follistim injections for the first 5 days of a new cycle and after an ultrasound I was bumped up to 150 iu of Follistim for 4 more days. I had 2 follicles that were over 18mm and so I gave myself a shot of Pregnyl and 36 hours later I got my IUI. It was not successful and for the next cycle I will start at 150 iu of Follistim. I have lower estrogen levels and so they want to start getting those numbers higher right from the start.

Each cycle including bloodwork, medications, ultrasound, donor sperm and IUI is $2800

Dr. Delaney came highly recommend to us. We walked into our first consultation nervous and scared-unsure of what our future would look like. Dr. Delaney offered very detailed facts that were easy to comprehend. Together we designed a plan and set off on our journey as a team. Dr. Delaney filled our hearts with hope and eased our minds. From that point on each and every appointment was crafted with clear details and compassion from Dr. Delaney. She has a way of always making you feel as if you are her one and only patient she is caring for. I can’t tell you how much we appreciated that. We think so highly of Dr. Delaney and have since recommended her to friends seeking fertility support.

My biggest advice is to take questions with you. Have them written down prior to your appointments. Your questions will be clearly answered by Dr. Delaney.

Dr. Delaney followed my very closely. I gave myself injections, did the hcg trigger shot and then we proceeded with the IUI. My first IUI was a successful pregnancy that resulted in multiples. My second IUI was not a success. We increased the dosage in my injections for the third IUI which resulted in a successful pregnancy of a singleton.

My experiences with Dr. Delaney have been wonderful. From our consultation to our 3 failed IUI's, I always felt Dr. Delaney had our best interests at heart. During every stage of our treatment she reassured us and helped explain the process as much as we needed. She is always timely on calling us and giving us answers. What I could use more from Dr. Delaney is her bluntness. She is so sweet and comforting that sometimes I think it is difficult for her to be blunt with patients. I already recommend Dr. Delaney to my friends and family who are on their own infertility journeys, so I am very pleased with our experience as a patient!

One piece of advice I would give to a prospective patient is to try not to get discouraged. Sometimes when the answer and results aren't what we want, it is easy to blame the doctor or treatment for not working. But remember, she always has her patients best interest at heart and she too is hopeful each and every round of treatment. My confidence in her skills and knowledge help me from becoming easily discouraged.

I came to Dr. Delaney with what we thought was a blocked fallopian tube. After further testing, Dr. Delaney was able to confirm I did not have a blocked fallopian tube. After establishing that, came the diagnosis. My husbands sperm results came back normal and my diagnostic testing came back normal also. She diagnosed us with unexplained infertility, which means without the help from medicine we would have a 5% chance on conceiving on our own. Because of this diagnosis, Dr. Delaney decided the next treatment option should be an IUI. We started with 75ml subq of Follistem every day. Every few days we had an ultrasound to check the size of the follicles and I had a lab draw to check my hormone levels. Once the follicles were at the optimal size around 2.0, I received the "trigger" injection, HCG, in the upper botocks. Roughly 24-48 hours later I had the IUI procedure. I started on progesterone suppositories 3 days after the IUI. A few days after our first IUI I had dark red spotting which is not normal. Dr. Delaney said that was due to a lack of progesterone. That IUI round failed. Dr. Delaney was pleased with the number of follicles I produced with that dosage so we performed another IUI with the exact procedure as above. But this time instead of using suppository progesterone, I use the progesterone in oil injection in my upper botock, due to spotting from previous IUI. This is a higher dose and more direct way for the body to get progesterone. That also resulted in a failed IUI. I was still producing quality follicles so we tried a 3rd IUI, which resulted in another failed IUI, same treatment as 2nd IUI. After this, Dr. Delaney recommended we try IVF. She stated the chances of a positive pregnancy are higher with IVF then IUI and with 3 failed IUI's this would be our best next step for treatment.

An ultrasound was $225 and an ultrasound and lab work was $317. Specimen test was $550. The IUI was $800. Medicine from the Pharmacy was around $700 a cycle.

We were very pleased with Dr. Delaney, I the initial testing it was discovered that I had a polyp and she worked quickly to schedule and complete the removal so that it would not prolong our IVF process. As we went through treatment she took the time to answer all our questions and personally called us when we had the first round of embryos PGS tested and didn't have any that were able to be used. On the second round she took the time to work with us on our concerns about PGS and supported our decision to not have it done. She diligently worked to track and make sure that we would have successful outcomes with the medicines because I only have one ovary.

Be very open and share anything that you can even if you think it might not matter or have impact, because she will address your concerns and research them if needed.

On our first cycle I wasn't responding the way she had thougt so my medicine was increased after our first visit, this did result increase the outcome. However we did not end up with any viable embryos for implantation due to the outcome of PGS testing. On the second round she chose to begin on a slightly higher dose from the start which produced one more embryo from the first round. With only having one ovary she was very realistic with is on the number of embryos that we wouldn't likely achieve.

There was a window for these appointments every morning for several hours and you could go at your convenience. If the clinic wasn't close to your home you could have them at your regular OB and they would assist in getting those setup.

We discussed this at great lengths. With PGS we were told that with our circumstances she would do eSET and without PGS she was open to multiple embryo transfer but it was ultimately up to us.

She is kind and cheers you in through the process. She really wants the best results for all involved. I do wish I would have been pushed a little harder on medications for IVF based on the results from the IUIs and then after our IVF failed, we had a lot of questions and it seemed to irritate her as she didn’t have the answers. Overall, wonderful doctor.

Although she is very smart, listen to your body and speak up if you feel a different way.

-IUI #1: 75 IUs of Follistim and pregnyl trigger shot - 2 mature follicles estrogen 376 progesterone suppositories and negativity be pregnancy test. -IUI #2: 100 IUs of Follistim and Pregnyl trigger shot - 4 mature follicles estrogen 1446 progesterone suppositories and negative pregnancy test. -1 month of birth control for residual cysts -IUI # 3: 100 IUs of Follistim and Pregnyl trigger shot. 3 mature follicles and estrogen 527 PIO injections. Negative pregnancy test. -IVF #1: 300 IUs of Follistim for 5 days 375 IUs for 2 days with cetrotide the last of that day and 450 IUs for 2 days and cetrotide for both day. Pregnyl trigger shot. 11 eggs retrieved, 7 mature, 6 fertilized (with ICSI), 4 made it to blastocysts, 3 euploid. (6AA, 6AA, 5AA) -Valium the day of the transfer. Transferred the 6s but they didn’t thaw properly. PIO injections, negative pregnancy test.

Monitoring was fine. They always went in order. Some days would take a long time but you cannot help if there are a lot of people that day that needed the same care.

She was very caring and kind. Puts it how it is but is polite and kind about it. Knows the patient side of it as she’s been through it. Always wants to be sure you’re comfortable and understand what’s going on. I never felt like a question I asked was stupid

Be open with her, the more you tell her the better she can help you

We went for a consultation. She did an ultrasound and determined I have at least one tube that has a hydrosalpinx requiring surgery. We also discussed what treatment timelines would be like for different options.

We have not yet been billed for our care

She is a great doctor!! When my FET was canceled she personally called me and talked to me about it and what our next steps would be. She also did every ultrasound before retrieval. She’s so kind and compassionate

Trust her, she has your best interest in mind

There was a time frame of 3 hours in the morning that I could come for monitoring. Everything ran smoothly and I didn’t feel rushed

Dr Delaney is amazing. She worked really hard to get me pregnant. She was straightforward and always laid out a plan for me. If there ever was a time when she wasn’t 100% certain how to proceed, she went out of her way to talk to her partners to come to a consensus. And she was so genuinely sad for me when our first transfer didn’t take, and even more happy for me when our second did. You’d be lucky to have her as your REI.

I can’t think of any advice.

We went through IVF with her once, and she never told us during treatment that I had low estradiol compared to the follicles growing. Nor did she adjust my protocol to use Menopur, which other doctors that treated me since have all done, and my estradiol responded. As a result, we retrieved 15+ eggs and had no embryo to transfer.

She does not like to be questioned.

I had ivf with gonal-f only. Other doctors have since treated me with gonal-f + menopur and had better IVF results.

She recommended single embryo transfer only

When she delivered the news of my biopsy she was cold. She also was upset that I wanted to consult with genetic counselors. The nurse was wonderful she told me the sex of the 2 and was very sympathetic and showed empathy. Dr. Delaney doesnt listen to her patients

Retest should be patients option as long as it can be paid for, also mosaic aneoploid embryos shld also be patients choice especially if they are all they have.

Dr Delaney is great. You can tell she really cares about her patients and explains the procedures well to make you feel comfortable. She makes you feel hopeful and excited. She will always answer any questions I have and re-explain something to me if I need it.

The first consultation for dr Delaney is 400. And SHG is 1000. Labs for day 3 are 276. Everything cost a lot but they give you a price sheet

I felt seen. She was calm and very welcoming. Didn't treat me poorly and even drew pictures when I had questions. She would call me back and help answer any questions or concerns and spoke to me like a real person.

Don't worry if you don't understand something. She will do whatever she can to explain it!

She was very thorough. We've only done a consultation. But she had a plan and a plan B.

Dr. Delaney was extremely detailed and thorough in our initial appointment. She broke down all of our options and gave her recommendations very clearly. She offered support and gave us hope for our future.

Dr Delaney is so knowledgeable. She changed our treatment when things didn't work. She was always hopeful and promised she would tell us if she didn't think something was in our best interest or if it wouldn't work. IVF is hard enough, but she made it so much easier. I had previously seen other doctors that didn't listen to me or take my concerns seriously. Abby listened to us and we felt heard. I always felt that I was in the best hands when I was with her and completed trusted any decision she made. We are so thankful that we ended up with her and are currently 27 weeks pregnant with twins!

I would encourage any future patient to trust her. She knows how important this is to her patients and she wants it to work just as badly as you do!

We had 1 retrieval that we only had 2 embryos. We transferred both and it failed. She changed our medication protocol for the second retrieval and we were much more successful and ended up with 12 embryos. After a few more unsuccessful transfers, she informed me of some new testing (receptiva and the ERA). She did those tests and discovered that I did have endemtriosis. We treated that, did another cycle and we are now expecting twins.

The clinic had a very routine experience for monitoring ultrasounds. You arrive during a certain timeframe, sign in, and they would get you in and out quickly. However, you never felt rushed. We were always welcome to ask questions or stop and talk to a nurse or your doctor if needed.

Dr. Delaney was great at being encouraging and supportive during our entire process. She gave me the confidence to trust her with every decision she made. She always had great energy and positivity regardless of how each visit went, there was always a plan in place. I appreciate he knowledge and ability to communicate the process in a way they both my husband and I could fully understand.

Be open with Dr. Delaney in regards to your concerns. She will spend the time with you to explain the process, answer your questions and make you feel confident in the plan that she created. No question is dumb, she is there to guide you and help you. She wants the same outcome as you.

Dr. Delaney allowed us to transfer 2 embryos on our fresh transfer. Only 1 embryo was successful at implanting.

My first child was conceived through IUI with not many issues. When I returned to see Dr. Delaney in hopes of my second child, things got more difficult. IUIs didn’t work, and then after a miscarriage through IVF using a PGS normal embryo, she had her work cut out for her. She was very patient when explaining everything we could do. This was a big win knowing why I was miscarrying (had two natural miscarriages before seeking treatment). I followed her advice for treatment and my next transfer was successful. I felt like Dr. Delaney walked with me every step of the way. It was as if she was part of my family. We cried together, laughed together and then cheered when we got the result we wanted. I couldn’t imagine having anyone else as my fertility doctor.

My IUIs and IVF were fairly normal protocol. Pgs tested my 7 embryos which resulted in 3 normal, 2 no result and 2 abnormal. First transfer was unsuccessful, second transfer resulted in a miscarriage around 8 weeks. I tested positive for receptiva, so did two months of Lupron before transfer. I needed two shots of progesterone in oil a day to get my number where it needed to be. 3rd transfer was successful and resulted in a live birth of a baby girl.

I have fertility insurance through my employer, so my cost was significantly lower.

Dr. Delaney was open to what you wanted to transfer. We did one pgs tested embryo and a no result for two of my transfers.
