Dr S was very thorough in reviewing my on going monitoring results and would check in on the phone if I didn’t see her in person. The Kindbody portal is so easy to use and all daily communication comes through there. If there’s a big change you’ll get a phone call, but if it’s a tweak to existing medicine it’s updated between 4-6pm every day, it was always consistent and easy to follow. If you call to talk to a nurse, you can rarely ever get someone to speak to you in that moment, but they will call you back. The emergency hotline worked well, I used it twice in the middle of the night and I was connected to a nurse that helped.

She will give you all your results and information, ask questions, what certain acronyms mean, she will sometimes speak in medical terms that you won’t know, so just ask! Also be honest with your mental health, she is there for you.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Aimee Seungdamrong at Kindbody - New York?
Dr Aimee always started every phone call or meeting with how I was doing, emotionally, and physically. When recommending plans, she always asked how I felt about it, if the timing was okay for me, if my body needed a break, that I was in control of my decisions under her guidance
Describe the protocols Aimee Seungdamrong used in your cycles at Kindbody - New York and their degree of success.
During my first round of meds for an egg retrieval, I had a dominate follicle that was starting to produce estrogen, according to the blood work it was fine to start meds. Turned out that follicle did continue to grow faster, so I got 13 eggs retrieved, but it the decision to retrieve was based around that follicle to make sure I didn’t ovulate. Based on that, Dr S did put me on birth control for the next round, which suppressed everything and then my follicles grew more balanced and I had 24 eggs the 2nd time.
She removed 2 polyps through surgery prior to implantation, that she found through a sonogram.
My first transfer was by the books, estrogen pills then progesterone shots. I had a grade 5AA embryo and had a chemical pregnancy.
We changed the path for round 2- she put me on a low dose daily Lupron shot with the goal to suppress all hormones and then we would try again. During that process, my body creates a lot of estrogen and she knew when I ovulated and we changed the course and went for transfer right away because my lining looked great and my estrogen was high. It was successful and I’m pregnant!

Describe the costs associated with your care under Aimee Seungdamrong at Kindbody - New York.
My husband had an employee with Kindbody so they covered 3 Kind cycles. We used 2 cycles (2 retrievals, 2 transfers). We had to pay for medicines and co-pays for visits. My morning monitoring was covered in my cycles, so I didn’t pay co-pays for those. We spent about $5k out of pocket for all medicines, co-pays, I had surgery and co-payments (10% of each transfer which was $280, full price was $2,800). It would of roughly been an extra $20k if we didn’t have coverage, for the 2 egg retrievals and genetic testing.
