Dr nangia was completely dismissive to my concerns over DNA fragmentation, despite the latest research showing benefits to surgical sperm retrieval over ejaculated sperm for men with elevated DNA fragmentation...He was willing to continue my clomid to see if that would boost my sperm counts...It doesn’t appear he is very forward thinking with regard to research and his field. Male infertility is rapidly advancing and he doesn’t seem to be.
Had a hiccup with my clomid Rx and communicated with a [Kansas U Center] nurse via patient portal. She [wasn't] very unknowledgeable about clomid for male infertility, which struck me as concerning, given that it isn’t an obscure treatment...We are remote to the clinic, so we have had testing done at our local hospital. There have been a couple times where there were delays in getting transferred test results to the clinic

Describe your experience with Kansas University Center for Advanced Reproductive Medicine.
The weakness is dr nangias approach. He doesn’t appear to be very up to date on research, or he’s so research skeptical that he’s not willing to treat until there’s overwhelming evidence for a course of action. Infertility is a rapidly advancing field, and that attitude will abandon patients.
I was point blank told that my sperm weren’t the problem, that my wife’s eggs were (age). Given my dna fragmentation test results and the research associated with them, that simply isn’t the case. While my wife’s eggs are AN issue, it’s poor practice to ignore other potential problems.

We are remote to the clinic, so we have had testing done at our local hospital. There have been a couple times where there were delays in getting transferred test results to the clinic. This may be the fault of KU med’s medical records department however.
