How was your experience with Andrew Levi at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine?
Dr Levi is very to the point and precise. He will not sugarcoat your situation, but is compassionate in supporting you through it. Rather than insist on trying options that may not get you results, he tells you exactly what is necessary to give you the best chance of conceiving. At first, it was hard to hear, but then I was so grateful to know that he was giving us our best shot at becoming pregnant. Dr Levi is the doctor at all your appointments: it feels good to know that he recognizes you and your partner and remembers your situation and plan. If there are issues, he is the one who discusses them with you, which is very appreciated. He is also the doctor who does all of the procedures so you feel safe and confident because you know him so well! When I found out I was pregnant with a blood test, I asked to hug him! He said “I don’t do hugs until you graduate from the clinic,” but he gave me one anyway. I appreciate him not wanting to get your hopes up, but also celebrating you when you need the care!
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Andrew Levi at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine?
I would tell a prospective client of Dr Levi’s to stay positive, trust the process, and be open-minded.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Andrew Levi at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine?
I felt like a human at Dr. Levi’s practice because I saw the same doctor for each visit. This made it so that he knew us and our situation well and remembered us each time we came. His staff especially made me feel so loved. I struggle a lot with giving blood, and they made me feel as comfortable as possible. They allowed me to lie down on a bed in a private room for every blood draw. As soon as they saw my face they would bring me back to my spot. I always felt taken care of and remembered. The only time I felt like a number compared to a human was when I couldn’t attend the appointment I showed up for because I had a large balance on my account. I was never told that I had to pay off a large portion before continuing, so I thought I could pay it off as slowly as needed. I was paying a small amount biweekly, but it wasn’t enough, and Dr Levi met me in my room to tell me I had to pay off a big chunk before I could continue treatments. I was very embarrassed, but I did think it was nice that he told me himself.
Describe the protocols Andrew Levi used in your cycles at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine and their degree of success.
Dr Levi and his staff had us use progesterone in oil, estrogen pills, birth control pills, and other injections. I don’t remember the specific protocols, which is crazy because at the time it felt like that was all I knew!
Describe your experience with your nurse at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine. (Assigned nurse: Michelle)
Michelle, our IVF coordinator was incredible. She was organized, kind, and always supportive. She made YouTube videos to teach us how to administer all the medication, and drew circles on my back for when we needed to inject the PIO. She also has an Instagram page where she posts info and supportive quotes. She was amazing! The nurses were amazing too. They always helped me so much during my blood work which I hated!

The clinics strengths were communication, knowing their patients well, and being accommodating of your needs! The only weakness I can think of is that I had to have a large portion of my balance paid off before being seen for my next appointment and that caused a bit of stress.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Andrew Levi at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine.
Once I hit my deductible of $4500, the rest was covered. Except for storage of embryos and genetic testing of the embryos which wasn’t covered under insurance. I believe the storage of embryos is about $750/year and the testing was $3690.
Describe Andrew Levi's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine.
Our doctor told us that he would only transfer one embryo in women younger than 35 because it was safer!
I felt like Dr. Levi came up with a treatment plan that was uniquely catered to me... After our first two IUIs were not successful, he completely understood our wishes to proceed with IVF...Due to my age (32) and other factors, we decided to do an single embryo transfer for the first transfer...Because we wanted to do the PGS testing, we did a frozen transfer which was successful. I'm currently 13 weeks pregnant.
[Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine's] strength is how personalized of an experience you receive. I knew everyone's name and everyone knew who I was as well. Wait times for virtual visits were slightly longer than in person as the in person visits I was almost always immediately seen with little to no wait...The entire nursing staff at Dr. Levi's were incredible communicators and most importantly were kind and empathetic in their approach.

Describe the protocols Andrew Levi used in your cycles at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine and their degree of success.
After my testing results led us to a diagnosis of unexplained infertility, we started the process by doing a medicated IUI cycle. We did two IUI cycles with the second we increased my dosage of chlomid. Both did not result in pregnancy. Following the second IUI, we decided to jump into IVF. I went on birth control pills for one cycle and then started stims to prepare for my egg retrieval. We retrieved 16 eggs, 12 were mature, 9 fertilized and 6 made it to day 5. Of the 6 embryos we had, 2 tested normally, 3 were abnormal and 1 was mosaic. Because we wanted to do the PGS testing, we did a frozen transfer which was successful. I'm currently 13 weeks pregnant.

Dr. Levi was the only fertility doctor I spoke to who took my whole health into consideration. He asked me about my eating habits, my medical history etc...[he] always took the time to talk through their thought process and answer any questions I had. The whole process is so stressful and emotional (regardless of who your doctor is), and they really try to make you feel at ease.
[Park Avenue Fertility & Repro Medicine] Strengths: Individualized care, compassion, clean office Weaknesses: Because it's a small team, you're really on their schedule which can be tough, but I wouldn't want to deter someone with that info. I really felt like this was the best clinic despite the fact that scheduling was sometimes annoying...They[nurses] always explained everything to me and made me feel really comfortable
How was your experience with Andrew Levi at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine?
Dr. Levi is very knowledgeable, friendly, and warm. I went to him (driving from NY to CT over an hour each way!) after I had a not so great experience with another fertility doctor. Dr. Levi was the only fertility doctor I spoke to who took my whole health into consideration. He asked me about my eating habits, my medical history etc.
Upon learning that I had childhood cancer and heart issues, he encouraged me to reach out to my doctors to let them know I was trying to get pregnant in case they had any reservations or specific things they wanted me to know before the process. I really appreciated that.
He was also the ONLY doctor who encouraged me to start the search to find an OB I liked (I hadn't had one when I started going to Dr. Levi), knowing that I would need to start seeing them soon after I got pregnant.
All of this really showed me that he cares about his patients and is focused on making fertility dreams come true in a safe and healthy way.
My husband and I really felt like we were in the best care with Dr. Levi and his team.

Dr Levi truly made me feel like I wasn't alone in this journey. Unexplained infertility wasn't anything I was aware of before having to go through this treatment. He helped me to understand that I am not the only woman this has happened to and that every feeling and worry I had was completely normal and in fact expected!... Dr Levi is a genius! He knows the science, he studies your case and truly cares for you in making your family dreams come true. He is incredibly thorough but keeps you as the patient in mind that we really don't know the technical terms. He breaks things down and taught us more about reproductive science than most people would ever know.
Katherine [at nurse at Park Avenue] is just wonderful! She's kind, funny and so supportive. She knew exactly what to say when my IUI's were unsuccessful and she was sincerely happy to tell us our IVF worked. Katherine truly shows she loves her work and is a phenomenal asset to Dr Levi's team.... The office is great! The administrative staff is always happy to see you when you walk in the door and they greet you personally every time.

My husband and I tried for a year before we were tested for reproductive issues and were referred to Dr Levi and his team. We started with one month trying on our own while going through diagnostic studies to see if my fellopian tubes were open, uterus was healthy and pollup free. They also tested my husband if he was a contributing factor. It ended up being a joint factor where I started medications and went through three IUI's. After three unsuccessful IUI's our next option was IVF. We went through the stimulation shots, medications for egg retrieval and then finally a fresh embryo transfer 5 days out. We are now 8 weeks pregnant! The process was long, at times painful and disappointing. I am so glad we were referred to Dr Levi and his team we are now looking forward to having our dream come true.

Dr.Levi is absolutely fantastic! We met with him to begin the process and left feeling optimistic and in good hands. Throughout our time with Dr.Levi we always felt comfortable and that we were getting the best possible care. Questions were always handled well and explained completely. Even after we "graduated" from the office and had questions, he was helpful and reassuring. I recommend Dr. Levi completely and without hesitation.
Park Ave Fertility is absolutely fantastic! I cannot think of any weaknesses only strengths; everyone is kind and caring.... Katherine, along with the rest of the staff were wonderful. The first time I had to get blood taken she talked to me to help me with my nervousness. Everyone was kind and compassionate.... I don't completely remember all of the protocols in specifics. We did IUI three times, and it didn't work. Dr.Levi explained that it isn't anything that I am doing or not doing and that it is "out of my control". I needed to hear that and it gave me permission to try to let go of my want to control the situation.

I am so happy I was seen by Dr. Levi to treat infertility. But with the support and expertise of Dr. Levi and his staff, we were successful and I will forever be grateful to Park Avenue Fertility.
Describe the protocols Andrew Levi used in your cycles at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine and their degree of success.
I had 5 cycles of IVF. I started treatments when I was 40 years old and an IUI did not make sense for my case. I responded well to the particular combination of stimulation drugs in the first cycle but my progesterone level was high so I had to undergo a frozen embryo transfer in order to prepare my body for a potential pregnancy. Out of 3 frozen embryos, we implanted two and had a negative pregnancy test. The third embryo is still frozen at this time. For the second cycle, the protocol for the egg stimulation was modified to keep my progesterone level down. I believe there was the addition of Lupron. A fresh transfer was planned but no inseminated embryos developed well enough over 5 days so no transfer occurred. The protocol for the third stimulation phase was modified again and I had less eggs retrieved. One inseminated embryo developed after 5 days and it was transferred at that time (fresh) but, unfortunately, I had a chemical pregnancy which eventually ended. The fourth stimulation protocol was again adjusted and I had 2 embryos develop for a fresh transfer but a negative pregnancy test. Finally for the fifth cycle, the stimulation protocol was more similar to my first in order to produce more eggs. Two inseminated embryos developed for a frozen transfer and a positive singleton pregnancy resulted. I am currently 23 weeks along.

My first cycle was self pay and ended up costing ~$18,000 for all drugs and services. The next cycles were covered as I was under my husbands insurance so the costs were for co-payments for office visits and the prescription drugs, ~$300-400.
Describe Andrew Levi's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine.
I did not have many choices between implanting 1-2 embryos and Dr. Levi generally allowed me and my husband to decide.
He [Dr. Levi] was knowledgeable and informative and had good bedside manner. In our initial consult, he made me feel very reassured that he would do things differently than my prior doctors, which gave me optimism that I might have a better outcome. But in the end, my treatment was not very different, and the outcome was the same. But overall, my experience was very positive... So he really wasn't able to figure out what's wrong as he promised he would... but I don't know if that's his fault or if my issues are truly "unexplained."...He took the time to get to know me and was very personable and always talked me through his thinking about all decisions.
I believe the initial testing [at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine] (bloodwork, hysteroscopy, etc.) was around $1300 (self-pay package). The FET was just under $4000 (self-pay discounted price)...It is a very friendly, inviting clinic. The number of patients seen is small, so there is more individualized attention. I would almost always see the doctor himself, rather than a resident or nurse. Everyone in the practice knew me by name...Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Catherine was very responsive to email inquiries.

He took the time to get to know me and was very personable and always talked me through his thinking about all decisions. After my treatment failed, he took the time to call me to discuss next steps (although this phone call did feel a bit like he was trying to "sell" me on continued treatments). His office staff was also very personable and friendly and never made me feel like a number. They always knew my name when I walked in the door.
Describe the protocols Andrew Levi used in your cycles at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine and their degree of success.
I saw him for a frozen embryo transfer of an existing embryo that was created at a different clinic. Because I had 4 PGS-tested embryos, and 3 of them had already failed to stick, this was my very last embryo. He assured me that he would figure out what was wrong with my uterus and find the reason why these embryos were not sticking. He performed a hysteroscopy, whereas in the past I'd only had SHGs. In the end, he told me (as previous doctors had as well) that my uterus looked perfect and he was very optimistic for success. When I asked why, then, he thought the other 3 had failed, his answer was basically, "Well, that was another clinic and I can't speak for them." In the end, the 4th embryo, under his care, also led to a chemical pregnancy. So he really wasn't able to figure out what's wrong as he promised he would... but I don't know if that's his fault or if my issues are truly "unexplained."

during my last ivf, his suggestion was to be on a no carb diet, so he can have more room to get to the eggs, since first IVF failed, to no fault of anyone's. I did the diet as prescribed, and this time around, it worked, he was able to manuever and get what he needed to get to make this a success. THANK YOU!!!!

Everyone I dealt with [at Park Ave - Trumball was] super professional and compassionate. They knew me by name and we're always responsive very quickly if I had questions or concerns. A couple of times, when calling with results or for scheduling they would get confused on what my plan of care was. But I know they were probably calling multiple people and I always knew the plan. Other than that, they were all wonderful...I don't have any complaints except that since it is a small practice, there was sometimes a longer than expected wait. But nothing outrageous. Also, because its small, you really will feel like a person, which is a huge strength. So much of this infertility stuff is dehumanizing, but they make you forget about all of that.

Describe the protocols Andrew Levi used in your cycles at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine and their degree of success.
I have no known fertility problems, but my husband makes no sperm so we use a donor. I had trouble at a previous doctor with cysts while on clomid. I told Dr. Levi this and he was encouraging when he told me we could just try monitoring and a trigger shot with iui, instead of jumping straight to clomid as i was also concerned about multiples. We did this for two cycles, then started back on clomid. I did three more cycles of clomid+trigger and iui and finally got pregnant on my 5th IUI. He was confident it would work eventually, and he was right!

Describe the costs associated with your care under Andrew Levi at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine.
I had 80% coverage for all testing and up to 4 IUIs. I think we paid approximately $1000-$1200 for the remaining 20%.
Dr.Levi is extremely sensitive to the fact that most people visiting him, wanted to be pregnant yesterday and understands the urgency that couples feel. He makes time to get to know his patients and form relationships with them. You always feel that he has your best interest in mind.... Dr Levi, himself, performed several diagnostic exams, to check for blockages in my Fallopian tubes, cervix and uterus. Once this was all clear, we began our first round of stimulated IUI, 5 days of clomid, and a trigger shot the night before insemination.
The whole team at Park Ave is great. Catherine was a great PA, and a great communicator. She always called same day with results and was also reachable by email. It is very easy to get a hold of Dr Levi or Catherine.... His office is truly one of a kind. The entire staff is welcoming, friendly, and always there for you. We will definitely return to Dr Levi when we are ready for our second child.

I grew to trust Dr. Levi. I trusted that he was making the best decisions for my treatment and that he had my best interests at heart. As stessful as tge whole process of IF is, I actually enjoyed interacting with him and planning next steps. I always felt at ease around him.... He is a solo practitioner so I always saw him or his nurse practitioner. He was empathetic. He seems to really understand the struggle emotionally of infertility.
The front desk ladies are always professional and understanding of schedule changes. The clinic [Park Ave Fertility] is clean and well maintained with up to date equipment and excellent laboratory. The costs are steep! These medical procedures are costly and many were not covered by my insurance.
Describe Andrew Levi's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine.
For donor eggs he strongly recommends eSET but was ok with 2 for own eggs
He [Dr. Andrew Levi] takes the time to listen and explain, seems very competent and caring. We had success with one embryo left and the Dr warned us that the odds were against us - not impossible but not strong, but did not give us a hard time about trying. Fortunately it worked and we have a beautiful baby as a result. I felt that the Dr was realistic with us, caring and competent as a Dr
They [Park Ave- Trumball]are very professional and competent. They keep appointments on time, seem to run at a low volume so you get personal treatment. Dr Levi is absolutely a caring and competent physician and skilled in his practice area.... Ask about pricing in advance. It is an expensive process and you want to be prepared. Also have the genetic testing done - it is not cheap but can help you avoid useless transfers that cost a lot of money to transfer an embryo with no chance at survival.

I think he only transfers one at a time but confirm it with him.
Dr Andrew Levi is amazing! He is the only doctor in the practice so it can be a wait to get appointments but that is because he is with you every step of the way. Always made me feel comfortable and made sure I understood what was happening during all the tests. Always open and honest about everything going on. Follow up calls from his office to see how I was.... We did 2 transfers with Dr Levi. The first in 2014 and we transferred 2 embryos and one took and we had a boy. The second time in 2016 we did 2 again and dr Levi did tell us we had a higher chance of twins since both embryos were high quality and we did have twins.
The clinic [Park Ave Fertility and Reproductive Med- Fairfield] is clean and modern. Waiting area is comfortable. Exam rooms are a good size and comfortable as well. I have no negatives to say about the clinic. The AC was always running strong and the water cooler was always full.... We did 2 transfers with Dr Levi. Dr Levi will be able to tailor your treatment to best suit you, saving you time...made me feel very comfortable to ask questions and voice my concerns. He was genuinely encouraging throughout the process. He also had a very relatble way which he describes medical terms and procedures...
The nursing staff [at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine] was fantastic. They all were always cheerful which really helps when going through treatment like this. They worked well as a team and always greated you by name...The manner of the people and how they treat the patients are the real strengths. They obviously know the medical science behind everything, but the way they make their patients feel throughout the ups and downs of treatment like this was what will make me return to this clinic when it's time for my next child. Add such, they are in high demand and the one draw back is thatyou might have to wait a bit to get in.

He [Dr. Levi] really listened. Took the time to talk in length with my husband and myself about possible options. We had one on one care with him and he was not pushy at all...He is smart, thorough, fully involved in his patients care - single doctor practice- and also kind. We saw him at him at every visit and never felt like a number. He spends a lot of time with each patient fully discussing every procedure and the risks and benefits. My husband even liked him! I wish there were more doctors like him out there.
They [staff at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine] were prompt, I never waited for long for appointments. The nurses weren't particularly winning, but they certainly weren't bad. We had some issues with billing not being as clear as we would have liked about cost but I think that was more of an issue with the insurance company than with them. He felt very strongly about only transferring a single embryo- at least for me.
I honestly don't think i would have kept trying if it wasn't for him and his staff and finally at age 42 I had my miracle baby.
The office did go through several nurses during the 3 years I was a patient there which was surprising.

I never felt like a "number" at this office, the whole staff was very warm and caring.

With my last egg retrieval my doctor did forget to call me with my fertilization report which cause me to be extremely stressed. I was able to reach him after hours though and he apologized profusely and was able to tell me the info that night though.
Dr.Levi made the entire process easy...even when there were times it was a bit tough. He worked well with my husband and I with explaining everything and making us feel comfortable during retrieval’s and transfers. I felt at ease in his care. Amazing doctor. Wouldn’t recommend anyone else.

Describe the costs associated with your care under Andrew Levi at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine.
In that moment I had health insurance available from the company I was working and covered almost the entire IVF so I am not sure regarding costs. I had to buy my medicines for the treatment but was directly with the pharmacy. So in total with copays and medications I believe we spend around $5,000 or less.
Describe Andrew Levi's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine.
Dr. Levi in my first IVF was planning to do a single embryo transfer. I am not sure what he's going to suggest in my second IVF.
Dr. Levi is extremely confident in producing positive pregnancy results despite the years of infertility. He is a calming presence in difficult situations. After receiving a negative result with our first FET, his confidence and support did not waver...We chose to only transfer one embryo at a time. That was our personal choice. Dr. Levi did agree with my young(er) age, that transferring one embryo was our best approach.
[The nurses at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine] were extremely knowledgeable and supportive. They provided their email addresses and encouraged me to email when/if I had questions. When I did email, they would respond promptly. I found all of the staff to be encouraging and personable. I enjoyed seeing them at each visit...Monitoring appointments were always in the morning. It was a well-oiled machine. I found that if I went a few minutes early, I would be taken prior to my appointment time--this was extremely beneficial as I am a high school teacher and needed to get to work as soon as possible.

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Andrew Levi at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine?
I would have worked more with Ann--the administrative assistant that deals with insurance. We did not look into the costs of the visits and procedures/what our insurance covered, which led to some strain in our relationship. Utilizing Ann's expertise more, would have eased our personal financial situation.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Andrew Levi at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine?
I started my IVF journey at a large hospital; our first appointment was a consult with a resident and first day intern, and included a vaginal ultrasound--where the doctor later joined us. My husband and I both felt as if it was inappropriate for residents and interns to be our contacts in such an important journey, rather than the doctor. We had heard from numerous friends that Andrew Levi was a solo practitioner and had extremely good results--all of our friends that went to Dr. Levi became pregnant and had healthy, thriving babies. Dr. Levi and his team were amazing; he was extremely supportive in all of our wants, and his team were always there to address any needs I had. Everyone on his team knew my husband and I by name--we did not feel like just another client.

When I did email, they would respond promptly. I found all of the staff to be encouraging and personable. I enjoyed seeing them at each visit. When Michelle ordered my medications, she found coupons to lower the costs--we did not ask her to (as we did not know this was possible) she just did it, knowing any savings was helpful.
Describe your experience with Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine.
To schedule the initial visit, you are given an appointment at least one to two months out--do not let that deter you! That is just the initial consult appointment. Once Dr. Levi and his team reviews your case, they automatically begin testing and you will have more appointments than you ever thought possible!
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine.

Describe the costs associated with your care under Andrew Levi at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine.
Treatment costs were based on what my insurance covered, which was 80% of fertility treatments. Once I had reached my premium deductible, everything was covered 100%. To freeze eggs, the initial cost was $1850.00 in cash/check/credit card prior to egg retrieval and $400.00 a few months later.

Describe Andrew Levi's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine.
Overall a very kind, compassionate and knowledgeable doctor [Dr. Andrew Levi]. In fact he’s probably the best doctor I’ve ever been to. My only complaint was that he put patients on birth control pills to synchronize IVFs to his clinics schedule since he works alone and I lost several weeks of treatment due to this. When your older time is limited so this was frustrating.... He always remembered me and my medical history and even called me personally just to check in after a few miscarriages to see how I was holding up.
Single doctor [at Park Ave- Trumball] so cycles are regulated to the clinics schedule which takes longer. Strength is Dr Levi’s kindness and compassion. I’ve yet to be treated by another doctor as well as I was treated byDr Levi.... Most was covered by insurance and when it wasn’t Dr Levi worked with on price & payments... Nursing staff changed frequently during the time I was in treatment.... I had a bad cycle using Ganirelix, nothing fertilized. Only time that ever happened.

It seemed like he [Dr. Andrew Levi] could not treat complex issues such as polyps, a septate uterus, endometriosis diagnosis/referral and eventually after losses went on to immunology testing. He was honest and told me he did not think he could help me...He did not treat me for the multiple procedures and cycles I had afterwards...If your case is simple he could be able to help you.
The [Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine] office seemed organized and responded regularly to emails and calls. I never had an issue getting ahold of the office or a specific person. I was content working with them. It was an overall good experience working with the office...It seemed like he [Dr. Andrew Levi]could not treat complex issues such as polyps, a septate uterus, endometriosis diagnosis/referral and eventually after losses went on to immunology testing. Describe Andrew Levi's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine.
We sought a second opinion with Dr Levi and he took all our information and previous tests into account. I had one IVF cycle with egg retrieval using oral and injectable medications, similar to my previous rounds at the other place with slight variances. There was frequent monitoring and blood draws, as usual and we retrieved 9 to 10 eggs...The slight variances the Dr Levi instituted for me clearly made a big difference. The transfer process was a lot more than I expected, with more oral and injectable medications, but everyone was very supportive.
Coming from another fertility practice to Dr Levi [at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine] was like night and day. Everyone in the office knows your name. They are always available to speak with you. They recognize variances in financial situations, and try to find ways to help you. Dr Levi and Catherine Levens APRN are clear that their goal is your goal - to expand your family...One of the biggest strengths of this clinic is that from the beginning you are aware there is a team of people to help you achieve your dream of expanding your family.
How was your experience with Andrew Levi at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine?
Dr Levi is very decisive but clear on his treatment plan. He takes previous courses of treatment and previous treatment failures into consideration to create a personal care plan for you. He takes time to answer questions and never makes you feel bad for asking questions. He is willing to make changes if he feels the original plan is not working. He understands the physical and emotional toll fertility issues can create and is sensitive to that.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Andrew Levi at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine?
Ask for statistics and ask questions. He may not fully explain everything initially, but if you ask questions for further information, he knows the answers and you will leave your appointment feeling cared for and part of a team.

We had two egg retrievals at another clinic with 10 to 12 eggs retrieved, 5 to 6 fertilized each time, and all of them arrested. I was told I should use donor eggs. We sought a second opinion with Dr Levi and he took all our information and previous tests into account. I had one IVF cycle with egg retrieval using oral and injectable medications, similar to my previous rounds at the other place with slight variances. There was frequent monitoring and blood draws, as usual and we retrieved 9 to 10 eggs. 6 fertilized, and three grew enough to be frozen for PGS testing. Two of the 3 were genetically sound. The slight variances the Dr Levi instituted for me clearly made a big difference.
The transfer process was a lot more than I expected, with more oral and injectable medications, but everyone was very supportive. Our first transfer did not take, and we took a couple months off. The second transfer round went fantastic and I am expecting a baby boy in June 2020.
I started with Dr Levi in Jan 2019 and if everything continues well as it should, will be holding my new baby in June 2020.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine. (Assigned nurse: Michelle Falzarano)
Michelle was the nurse I dealt with most often because she was the medication nurse and teaching nurse. The staff includes a team of people that I cannot compliment enough, including phlebotomy, receptionist and financial counselor.
Michelle was always available for questions and she has a naturally compassionate nature that makes it easy to share your concerns or fears with her. She reassures you with a confidence that is contagious. She is generous and kind, intelligent and friendly. It was a joy to have her as my nurse.

One of the biggest strengths of this clinic is that from the beginning you are aware there is a team of people to help you achieve your dream of expanding your family.
Catherine Levens APRN was who I saw more than Dr Levi, although he is available if you need him. Catherine is very skilled at her job and has an amazing bedside manner. I always felt happy to see her at my appointments and she is extremely caring and compassionate.
For my schedule, one of the challenges was I could have used some 730am appointments which they don't offer. However, they are very creative and flexible in meeting your schedule and you have the option to go to Quest for blood work in the morning and ultrasound in the afternoon if you need an early morning visit they don't have.
They know you by name and welcome you when you come into the office. It s a small group which creates a family environment. You feel like a person and not a number.
Describe Andrew Levi's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Park Avenue Fertility & Reproductive Medicine.
I am 40 years old with multiple miscarriages. Dr Levi recommended a single embryo transfer and I wanted a single embryo transfer because Dr Levi and I both felt that twins would add risk to an already risky situation.
