Dr Meyer is a wonderful doctor he listens, you never feel rushed, he fully explains every aspect of the treatment, he is very knowledgeable on current and past clinical trials and the findings of these trials. In my opinion you would be pretty hard pressed to find another doctor in the area that is better!...Dr. Meyer will answer any question you or your partner have....Everyone on the staff at Carolina conceptions treats you as if you are the only person there.

It's truly an amazing clinic!!...Simply put...this clinic is amazing!! my advice to a prospective patient is to take notes...y'all will go over a lot during the appointment. Don't be afraid to ask questions...Dr. Meyer will answer any question you or your partner have. Lastly, try not to stress...you are in great hands!!

Everyone on the nursing staff is amazing!! I absolutely love the nursing staff here!! One thing that I feel is extremely important is communication! They have the communication component down to a "T"!!

Simply put...this clinic is amazing!! The only thing that I would say is a weakness would be...not having someone on the staff who could discuss nutrition to help you better prepare for your IVF cycle.

Carolina conception staff and doctors were very sensitive to all the different emotions that go along with infertility.
Describe the protocols Bill Meyer used in your cycles at Carolina Conceptions and their degree of success.
I don't remember the specifics, but Dr. Meyer ordered several procedures and lab work to diagnose my infertility. He also referred my husband to a reproductive urologist due to his low sperm count. My treatment started with letrozole and that was not successful. We were then directed to IVF. First IVF was successful, and we had one baby. Started treatment again last year, and had a failed IUI. Proceeded to IVF with only 4 embryos. Implanted 2 embryos and that failed. We have 1 frozen embryo of poorer quality for a FET that we have postponed at this time.

The nursing staff was very helpful and returned all calls quickly. The nurses were very compassionate and respectful.

He [Dr. Bill Meyer] was open to helping us, discussed treatment and risks including percentages of possible pregnancy. I enjoyed the fact that he personally made phone calls to our doctors for clarity on previous tests for determination of diagnosis. Would just request seeing him after each sonogram to discuss how things are looking/going.
The nursing staff [at Carolina Conceptions] answered all of my questions. They were gentle and also walked me through what they were looking for in the sonogram and informed me of the next step in the process... We were given DX of PCOS. We started with a sonogram then begin 75 IU of Follistim AQ for days 3 through 7 sonogram thereafter. Continued with 3 more treatments of follistim AQwith another sonogram after. 3 more rounds of follistim AQ and ganarillex . 1 dose of ovidrel and VPS for 14 days. Take pregnancy test in 2 weeks.

He listened to us about trying for over a year, asked what treatments and tests we had prior, sat with us and contacted our doctors for test results we did not have copies of

[Carolina Conceptions has...] easy parking, little wait times, doctor paid more attention to detail and didn't leave things to chance and the atmosphere of the treatment was more comfortable. I do recall the costs were very similar to other clinics when I started researching them in 2009...

My first fertility treatment was in a hospital and it was bad enough that I didn't look for additional fertility treatment for 2 years until a friend recommended me to Carolina Conceptions. This is what Carolina Conceptions had that the hospital didn't: easy parking, little wait times, doctor paid more attention to detail and didn't leave things to chance and the atmosphere of the treatment was more comfortable. I can't think of any weaknesses since they were awesome in everyway compared to the hospital I went to.

Dr. Meyer was always pleasant with me (although he did make an inappropriate age joke once), but it was difficult to get to see him. His staff (one nurse in particular) was at times short and rude and unable or unwilling to provide answers to our concerns.

Strengths: Knowledgeable certified doctors and friendly front desk staff Weaknesses: Horrible nursing staff and not enough information provided to paitents. I was never quite sure what to expect next or what my next steps were.

They were pretty high for all the drugs. I'm a state employee and our insurance does not cover the costs. I have not tried IUI or IVF because of the cost.

They [Carolina Conceptions] are very easy to work with. Everyone has been super friendly and made the whole process so easy. I’ve called several times with questions about costs, and the financial ladies have been so patient with me...For the initial appointment and the HSG test, it was around $550. That’s without insurance...Our first appointment was just a meet and greet. But he [Dr. Meyer] saw I was at a good point in my cycle to do the HSG test, so he went ahead and did it then so save us the travel

He gave me some femara and ovidrel to do for six months. Then said after that, if still no success, then we would try the IUI

I love the nurses at Carolina Conceptions. One of our favorites recently left (April 2017) and It is hard to think about not having her support while at the office. The nurses are kind, spunky and knowledgeable.

Strengths - doctors and entire staff. I've heard that the office manager is less concerned about the nurses and their well being, but I have not witnessed that for myself. Weaknesses - my insurance doesn't cover anything. Not one dime. It would be nice for CC to partner with a pharmacy to offer a discount for patients that have to pay for everything out of pocket.

I have been extremely nervous about the entire infertility process. Dr. Meyer was very friendly and his positive attitude and knowledge has made me feel hopeful that I too will have my own baby...Dr. Meyer is very knowledgeable and direct. My husband was concerned that we were being recommended IVF immediately, but Dr. Meyer started with medication and are moving forward as we feel comfortable.

The cost of IVF is shocking. The amount of money can cause a lot of anxiety. I was very sadden to hear that it much is covered by insurance. I don't live near the doctor's office, so I was pleased to hear that there are satellite offices in multiple areas near my home.

My first visit with Dr. Meyers I was not real impressed. I had been for several visits and had never meet him. The second visit was much better. After that he was the one to do all my procedures and was very nice. I felt much better after the IUI procedure, and after that it just happened that he was the doctor to do, egg retrieval, FET and he was good! I guess I just had to get to know him. Going for my first OB scan soon and he just may be the doctor and if so that is fine!..Give him time, he is good and will lighten up! It just took me a while to warm up to him. He is straight to the point, which I like!

I found out that I was pregnant through an email the first time. When the pregnancy didn’t go as expected he didn’t communicate me rather had staff call me...Stimulated with little success, retrieved, and fertilized my eggs. Transferred two embryos during our fresh transfer. I was told I was going to Miscarry due to my HcG dropping. Turned out to carry a healthy baby boy to term. My next frozen transfer of one embryo ended in a chemical pregnancy.

We tried the least invasive things, timed, iui then finally ivf. After our first round of transfer we had a success full precnancy and birth. Since we have unexplained infertility we though it best not to jump right to ivf. Which is the direction we wanted to go. I think he [Dr. Bill Meyer] read that in our conversations and actions... And we spoke to him really late in the evening not on clinic hours on his cell and he helped us through s tough time we were having.
