He was friendly. Blunt and straight forward and ready to get a solution with no time wasted which I did love. Each visit was very short. Procedure/check up completed... information was given but felt no sympathy. It also felt rushed

Dr, Meyer is very matter of fact. He wants to treat you as a whole person. He is VERY quick to respond to emailed concerns or phone calls. He is very honest about the process, but again--he is very take no prisoners, "let's get it done".

He was very open about issues and risks. He explained everything in depth and was very realistic. He was very transparent and open to talking as we needed answers. He attended me each time I came and made time for me. That made me feel taken care of.

We trusted Dr. Meyer and team to provide the specific protocols that they there were required to get us to a successful pregnancy. While we did experience 2 failed IUIs, we got pregnant on our first round of IVF, which Dr. Meyer had told us early on would likely see the greatest rate of success.

We were fortunate to utilize fertility benefits through my company's insurance provider. While the treatment was not covered at 100%, the finance department was always able to provide information on estimated costs for each portion of treatment and explain how the supplemental benefits would work.

We discussed that the protocol was to only transfer 1 embryo and we followed that guidance.

Dr. Meyer is a fantastic doctor! He's always very honest and straight to the point. He doesn't sugar, coat anything but always says everything. Very nice and with love. I always felt he actually cared about me and wasn't just trying to get my money. He would always try so many different things to get me pregnant when I was having issues at the beginning. He is such a wonderful doctor and person. He would always tell me everything was going to be okay and that I will be a mother. And he was right. I now have two beautiful girls because of him.

I don't remember all the meds that I was on but I was on the PIO shots and I did start birth control. I also did some pills but I don't remember what those were called. I've done a couple of other injections as well, but again I don't remember what they were called.

We saw Dr. Meyer for a consult after having had not so great experiences with other clinics. He was very knowledgeable, professional and willing to work with us. He identified my wife's fibroids and agreed to remove them at our request so we would have a better chance of conceiving. He did the surgery and it went very well. He came out to the lobby and talked to me personally while my wife was in recovery. We decided to use donor eggs due to my wife's age and other health reasons. Dr. Meyer personally introduced us to the egg donor coordinator and financial staff. We had an appointment with Dr. Meyer to discuss the egg donor cycle before moving forward. We had a lot of questions about the medications, etc. and he advised us on those questions. He was very nice and answered all of them.We chose a donor and proceeded with the cycle. We had a follow-up appointment with Dr. Meyer in which we talked about the resulting embryos. He confirmed what the lab staff had told us and we were all in agreement on which embryo to transfer. We did PGS test and were offered to use another embryo if we wanted a girl, but since we wanted a boy we chose the best one (which so happened to be a boy). Throughout all of our treatment Dr. Meyer was always willing to answer questions via email. After my wife got pregnant she did have some bleeding at 5 weeks and he corresponded with us about that. We are 28 weeks pregnant currently and so far so good.

Dr. Meyer is great but be warned he can talk fast and you will want to take notes.

For our donor egg cycle, my wife underwent a FET. Dr. Meyer started with progesterone only birth control due to her history of uterine fibroids. FET consisted of 2mg Estrace by mouth 3 times a day, progesterone in oil injections (50mg/cc taking 1cc each dose) and monitoring. Estrace was given for 3 weeks before the transfer, stopping ovulation. The transfer consisted of a single PGS normal embryo from a donor egg cycle. Embryo glue was used. We were very pleased that we conceived on our first transfer.

We chose a donor egg refund program which was $33,000. We also paid an additional fee of $2,800 for the PGS biopsy. Grand total was $35,800 plus some appointments not covered by the plan such as initial consult, follow-up doc appointments and the last ultrasound to confirm pregnancy. Meds were not included and paid directly to our pharmacy, not this clinic.

Dr. Meyer and the clinic would only transfer a single embryo with a donor egg cycle.

I like the way Carolina Conceptions operates, in that they rotate through patients, so you really are getting the best of all of them. Dr. Meyer set my plan into action and that really is what you want from your Dr. Giving you the best course of action to give you the baby you so desire.

Don't expect him to hold your hand, but if you need him, he will be there for you.

We had male infertility issues and my egg reserve numbers were dwindling because of age, so Dr Meyer decided the best plan would be to go directly to IVF and we opted for the PGS testing to ensure a healthy embryo was transferred. I would highly recommend PGS to anyone that can afford it going through this process. We tested three embryos and only one was viable, so we are grateful that we opted for the testing. We are currently pregnant so everything that was laid out in our plan, happened accordingly.

Our insurance covered most of our procedures and medications, but it was all clearly outlined by a financial consultant prior to any treatment being scheduled.

Dr. Meyer only recommends a single transfer, however I believe you can select two.

Dr. Meyer is great he truly cares for his patients and wants their treatment to be successful. He explained every step of the process as we went along the way and answered all of my questions. He followed up when needed and always responded to my communication. He went over all risks involved with the treatment and made sure I was comfortable proceeding with treatment.

Dr. Meyer is very honest and straightforward he doesn't hold anything back from you and will tell you what options are best for you. He won't put you through procedures that he thinks will not succeed.

Dr. Meyer started me on medicine to prepare me for the egg retrieval process and then went ahead with that process after the med cycle was complete. We then started injections/medicine needed to prepare me for the fresh embryo transfer. I had the fresh transfer and unfortunately it resulted in a negative pregnancy test. Dr. Meyer then started me back on the needed treatments to prepare for a frozen transfer which was a success.

I found the treatment cost to be reasonable. My insurance did cover a large percent of the costs but for the care i was receiving I found the amount to be very reasonable. And the billing department was always friendly and let me know when I had credits on my account that could be used.

Dr. Meyer was against doing a multiple embryo transfer and I fully supported that decision. He explained the pros and cons of doing that and he advised against it in the end. I was pleased with that approach.

Dt Meyer was very honest and open with me, but not in a harsh way. He explained everything in a way I could understand completely and if I had any questions he was very patient with me and answered every concern. I could always reach him if I needed anything. This was very important to me. Never treated me like I was like any other patient. It was so refreshing

Because of my age, I knew i was limited on procedure. So we went with the Donor egg program and of course picked a donor, started the necessary hormone injections for the embryo transfer such as progesterone. They walked me through and updated status of donor retrieval, and how many embryos etc. Of course prior to all this had fibroid removed

Dr Meyer explained to me only one embryo transfer will be done as I am a high risk already due to age and high blood pressure and didnt want to chance having multiple babies and make the risk even higher for me but for the babies too. It made complete sense to me when explained this way.

Dr. Meyer was a very vivid and lively person. He would quote many recent studies pertaining to my treatment plan. We loved how personable he was and optimistic yet we never felt false hopes or exaggerations from him. He has to be the smartest man we know. He was confident with his plan of care and decision making but also allowed our input or suggestions. He spent time researching and diagnosing my uterine anomaly then was able to intervene surgically. He spent time explaining all avenues and was not pushy. Always happy and positive. Never late always punctual.

Trust him and his decision making. He’s an expert!

Very thorough, detailed and straight to the point explaining the process and risks. I've been to other doctor before and all I got was the statistics I could read online. With doctor Meyer I got all the answers I was looking for.

Be sure that Dr Meyers team will do everything they can to help you succeed but there are no guarantees. Do not give up and try again if it doesn't work the first/second/third time.

I do not remember all the details of the IVF we went through and I'm sure it is customized based on patient needs, but it worked for us

Dr. Meyer was very straightforward with the information yet compassionate. He was very easy to talk to and very willing to listen to us and help us based on our personal situation, and was also very willing to spend the time to discuss our options. He reevaluated and adjusted treatments as necessary after a failed round of IVF. He made us feel very comfortable during discussions and procedures even though those discussions and procedures are uncomfortable by their very nature.

Be clear with your expectations and he will be honest with you. Take notes.

We did IVF. Dr Meyer proposed a liberal amount of gonal for our first cycle. We produced an expected number of eggs, but none passed genetic screening (which was used due to our advanced age). During our second round, he included omnitrope (for egg quality) and altered the dosage of the gonal. We produced a similar number of embryos, with two passing genetic screening. We transferred the first embryo which resulted in a healthy baby. Our second embryo is in storage.

It was approximately $25,000 for one round of IVF (which includes medications, medical services, education, supplies, egg retrieval, PGS testing, transfer, etc.).

Because of the use of genetic screening, we only transferred one embryo. Evidence backs this approach.

Dr. Meyer is clearly knowledgable and passionate about this field. He has a great deal of experience and shared many possible options/outcomes to help us decide on our course of treatment. He is honest and does not sugar coat (which I appreciate), but is also kind and considerate of his patients' experiences and feelings. Based on my history, he advised us to do the HSG test before moving forward with more treatment cycles to rule out structural issues. I am forever grateful to him that he moved us in that direction because he discovered I had a partial uterine septum, which likely contributed to my two previous early miscarriages. He performed the surgery to correct this and I was very happy with the simplicity of the procedure and recovery. One month after the surgery I conceived naturally and am now almost 10 weeks pregnant.

Ask questions and speak up about your concerns/thoughts regarding your treatment, but also trust him and his expertise. He is very knowledgable and thoughtful about the treatment protocol he recommends.

We did two cycles of timed intercourse with injectables (Gonal-F, Cetrotide, Ovidrel). As we had previously conceived naturally twice (both ended in miscarriage), Dr. Meyer felt that we could be successful with timed intercourse. He also recommended I take Ovasitol daily supplement because of my irregular cycles due to PCOS. Ovasitol did help regulate my cycles.

Each cycle of timed intercourse including medications was around $3000.

I felt very strongly that my husband and I had an active role in our fertility journey - Dr. Meyer discussed options and genuinely listened to our concerns and made sure we felt comfortable moving forward along the process.

During our initial work up, an ultrasound with contrast found that both of my Fallopian tubes were blocked, and I had many large uterine polyps. Surgery was prescribed to remove the polyps and attempt to repair the tubes. Dr. Meyer was not able to repair the tubes surgically due to severe endometriosis that was found during the surgical procedure. Oral medications were prescribed to treat the endometriosis and a followup ultrasound with contrast determined that both tubes were open - 6 weeks later, I found out that I had conceived naturally, but this resulted in a miscarriage. 6 months later, at a followup appointment with Dr. Meyer, ultrasound with contrast confirmed that my tubes were blocked again and I had more uterine polyps. I was scheduled for a second surgery this past spring and the polyps were removed. I was also prescribed the same oral medications to treat endometriosis again (as that was likely the reason for the blocked tubes). Post op exam with ultrasound/contrast in July confirmed open tubes and the polyps had been successfully removed. We made a plan of 3 months to try to conceive again naturally, and if not successful, we would move on to IVF. I conceived naturally seven and a half weeks ago, and at my last early OB scan today, I graduated back to my regular OB/GYN!

He was always patient and sympathetic but answered our questions with honesty and we never felt like he sugar coated anything. He always seemed like he had plenty of time to address any questions or concerns we had.

He hits the ground going! Once we had our consultation with him he had a plan for the next step always when something didn’t work as planned! Be ready!

We started with theee cycles of follistim and times intercourse and we that didn’t work we moved on to IVF. We never felt like he jumped to the most expensive treatment but also never felt like he wasted our time on things that probably wouldn’t work for us. He explained our risk of hyperstimulation after our egg retrieval which ended up occurring and he explained what we needed to do if things started to progress that way. He was always very responsive either by phone or email. After dealing with the hyperstimulation we opted to freeze all of our embryos and move forward at a later time with frozen embryos. We were successful on our first FET attempt and now have the sweetest baby girl.

They were always very quick and I never had to wait in the waiting room more than 15 minutes.

The cost were exactly what had been discussed up front. There were no hidden figures or surprises!

Dr Meyers was exactly the doctor I needed after a recent still birth. He was determined and was very determined to help me have a successful pregnancy. He first had me to complete an histopingogram and then do Bravelle shots. I received a positive test less than two weeks after times intercourse. Dr Meyer helped me to become a mother in 2013 something that I had prayed about for years.

Follow his exact plan and take his advice. You will receive many blessings from a future baby if you do.

Dr Meyers had me to complete a histopingogram and take Bravelle shots. Then I used ovidrel to trigger ovulation with times intercourse. I suffer from PCOS so I struggle with weight issues, diabetes, and with regular cycles.

I could not parcipate in IVF due to cost, and insurance not covering artificial insemination. The shots that I used were around $400 a month with insurance. Copays with insurance varied depending on the appointment need. They ranged either $45 or $75 for copay with insurance.

Dr Meyer was very eager to review our case. We had been at another clinic for several years. He looked over all our past labs, fertility treatments, and addressed our concerns. Dr Meyer still to this day responds quickly to emails and I have not been a patient in almost 4 years

My husband and I had a miscarriage thru natural conception in 2012, which led us to our doctor and that is when we found out that my husband had very low sperm count and I had low AMH (poor egg quality). We were referred to Carolina Conceptions. after hearing our devastating news we both felt like our dreams were shattered. Our very first consultation was with Dr. Meyer and I automatically felt comfortable and safe to share my feelings with him. He constantly assured us that we will have our miracle baby. He found out our insurance would cover most of our in-vitro and felt confident that this was the first step to making our dreams come true. Our in-vitro did not work out the way Dr Meyer and also my husband and I wanted. They retrieved about 5-6 eggs from me and with my husbands sperm were able to make 2 decent embryos. On the way for our transfer we received a call from Carolina Conceptions letting us know that those 2 embryos didn't make it. So our in-vitro was cancelled. I immediately received a call from Dr. Meyer personally and he was so sweet. Encouraged us to not give up and to come back in a couple weeks to hear a new treatment plan he had for us. That gave me so much hope. We returned and he talked to me about embryo adoption. Because of my low quality eggs and my husbands low sperm he felt like this would provide us with the best chances of pregnancy. So that is exactly what we did. They put 2 frozen embryos in and 1 beautiful embryo stuck which resulted in the birth of my sweet 3 year old daughter. Dr. Meyers showed so much compassionate thru all this and never stopped caring about our situation. Also Mrs. Terry Hunter who works there helped me so much as well. I have sent several of my friends to Carolina Conceptions and they have received there blessings as well. My little girl wants a baby brother or sister so bad so I hope to return to Carolina Conceptions for future treatment :)

I would let them know to trust there doctor and never ever give up on there dreams. Anything is possible and miracles happen everyday.

When my husband and I did in-vitro we were on several shots and medicines but right out of my head I do not remember specifics

For our in-vitro cycle our insurance paid almost 70 percent. Out of pocket was about 4,500. When our invitro didn't work we received a refund of about 1,500-2,000. Our embryo donation cycle cost about 7,000

Strengths - exactly what I expected after reading reviews. Dr. Meyer was knowledgeable and blunt, which is why I asked for him to be our doctor. I saw just about every doctor at the clinic and he is not the most warm and fuzzy person there, but I completely trusted his medical advice and I would choose him again in a heartbeat. Great communicator - responded to emails in minutes.

Be prepared with your questions when you see him because he moves quickly.

Dr. Meyer was very direct with me (which I appreciate!) and spoke with me like I was a person, and not a number. I felt that he was very personable, understanding what I was going through and understanding where I was coming from, and took time with me. He was always available and very patient. In the end, I trusted him to do my transfer only as he was so dedicated and optimistic. He continually told me not to worry and I felt comfortable and at ease with him.

Listen to him! He knows what he is doing and he is here to help you get pregnant. Trust him!

I wish I had seen him more, I saw him for a rushed consult, then again for checking uterus shape, egg retrieval, and embryo transfer. But at the end of the day all I care about is results which I got. His bedside manner was really good during the procedures.

Know that they’re super busy so you might not get a lot of time with the doctor. But they know what they’re doing.

I started with BAC pills to control my cycle, followed by 5 days of testosterone patches. Then I started Lupron for a few days and added the super expensive drug that I can’t remember the name of and one other (powder in a vial) or approximately 2 weeks followed by ovidrel and then progesterone shots until I was 10 weeks pregnant.

I don’t remember our insurance covered part of it. We ended up paying about $10,000 out of pocket but more than half of that was medications.

I was a patient of Dr Meyer for 3.5 years. I had conceived twice naturally but both ended in miscarriage. My first miscarriage was 15 weeks and Dr Meyer wanted to know why and did tests to confirm a uterine septum. My Regular OB did no further investigation after my miscarriage. De Meyer and Dr Couchman did the surgery to repair it. After that we still had trouble conceiving. We did three years of pills, injectables, a failed IUI, failed/ cancelled cycle for Invocell and 2 cancelled attempts for egg retrieval finally after medication changes the third attempt gave us the results we wanted with 15 eggs retrieved and 7 embryos. We did a frozen cycle after PGD and our first transfer was a success and now we have a beautiful healthy baby boy! Dr Meyer didn’t give up on us and every road block he came up with a detour! We’re super thankful for him and would (and have) recommend him to anyone with infertility.

Underwent hysteroscopy before a cycle to clear some apparent fibrous tissue from the uterus that was possibly impeding carriage of the prior pregnancies. Also my husband and I both took course of doxycycline before starting anything. Currently doing high dose menopur in preparation for retrieval

Dr. Meyer was kind and compassionate. We had a vanishing twin and he was so caring and reassuring. I always felt like he cared specifically about me and my family, not just me as a random patient. He explained everything, he had a plan and I knew what to expect when things didn’t work, and what to expect if they did

I wasn’t ovulating so he put me on a combination of medicine to help me ovulate, I came in for multiple ultrasounds per cycle to check the status of ovulation, and eventually we also added an injection to trigger ovulation in a specific time period.

We paid towards our deductible and then 20% coinsurance until our out of pocket max was reached. With our flex savings it was no problem.

I think he was straight to the point about what was needed and the potential outcomes. They weren’t all what I wanted to hear, but I appreciated his honesty. When I had questions on my treatment, I was able to email him and get a response right away. I’ve never experienced this with any other doctor before so this was greatly appreciated.

He is up front and honest with you from day 1.

The only treatment I was given was progesterone and Letrozole. Each was very self explanatory.
