he [Dr. Chatzicharalampous] took a lot of time up front to understand our particular situation. We had already done one unsuccessful IVF cycle at another well-known and supposedly respected clinic. My partner is a testicular cancer survivor, requiring him to be on testosterone replacement therapy for 9 years resulting in a 0 sperm count...Dr. C listened to what we had been through, and recognized that my partner would most likely need a TESE procedure as his sperm count indicated probable sperm quality issues...
[Kofinas Fertility Group] Very nice and clean facilities, convenient satellite offices where you are able to do monitoring and see the Doctor. Also, the embryology lab there is very very good...there are two finance departments it seems- one for the surgical center and one for the clinic- super confusing. In fact I thought I had paid in full ahead of time for my retrieval but it turned out I had only paid the surgical center portion and not the portion needed at the clinic...
How was your experience with Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
I highly recommend Dr. C, he was kind, warm, friendly and funny. I always looked forward to seeing him during my visits and I was able to see him at almost all of my visits. Most importantly, he took a lot of time up front to understand our particular situation.
We had already done one unsuccessful IVF cycle at another well-known and supposedly respected clinic. My partner is a testicular cancer survivor, requiring him to be on testosterone replacement therapy for 9 years resulting in a 0 sperm count. After a year of injections and meds he was able to get a just a few sperm back which was great news. However the first clinic was not able to get any embryos for us and also were very unresponsive so we decided to switch to Kofinas. Dr. C listened to what we had been through, and recognized that my partner would most likely need a TESE procedure as his sperm count indicated probable sperm quality issues. He referred him to a urologist who agreed, and coordinated my IVF cycle perfectly so the retrieval landed on the one day the urologist performed outpatient procedures, so we did not have to freeze the retrieved sperm and were able to get 5 embryos out of 9 eggs retrieved.
Dr. C also did more tests than the other clinic, and identified some autoimmune issues which he treated me for.
I had Dr. C’s email, and emailed him with any questions I had and he always got back to me very quickly.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
Go ahead and ask as many questions as you can so you have a clear understanding and realistic expectations of your situation and odds of success.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
Dr. Harry took the time to get to know me and my partner, and I could tell he really cared about my results. He was also very responsive to questions, and was honest but hopeful about our chances of success.
Describe the protocols Charalampos Chatzicharalampous used in your cycles at Kofinas Fertility Group and their degree of success.
We used gonal-f and menopur and triggered with lupron I think. I don’t remember details. My partner underwent a TESE procedure after injections of HCG and Clomid pills.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Kofinas Fertility Group.
I loved all the nurses. I probably worked with Mio the most, she was so nice and helpful, and went above and beyond for me. After my transfer, we travelled out of state to visit family, and she helped me coordinate blood draws and treatments while in VA.
Describe your experience with Kofinas Fertility Group.
Very nice and clean facilities, convenient satellite offices where you are able to do monitoring and see the Doctor.
Also, the embryology lab there is very very good. This may be the most important thing to consider when picking a clinic- if you get a ton of eggs but then don’t have the very best embryology lab fertilizing them you could still have very poor results.
You can also purchase meds there which is convenient, except you are required to pay for them in cash which is a pain. Which leads me to the one negative about the clinic- the billing / payment system. Seems like their whole billing department is stuck in the 90s- from what I could tell, every time I paid a copay, the receptionist hand wrote me a receipt in one of those carbon copy receipt books which means someone would need to reconcile those at the end of the day, like what?! Also, there are two finance departments it seems- one for the surgical center and one for the clinic- super confusing. In fact I thought I had paid in full ahead of time for my retrieval but it turned out I had only paid the surgical center portion and not the portion needed at the clinic. While this was my mistake, it led to panic the morning of my retrieval that was pretty traumatic.
Some advice: be sure you triple check you are paid in full before your procedure.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Kofinas Fertility Group.
There were monitoring time slots in the morning. I would usually be seen within 15 mins, but on occasion it would be closer to 45 mins but that was only once or twice.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group.
I was all out of pocket, and I think total I paid about 5k for meds for one cycle and transfer, 2k at the surgical center and 24.5k for the retrieval, PGS testing and one transfer. I had $15 copays for monitoring.
Describe Charalampos Chatzicharalampous's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Kofinas Fertility Group.
We had our embryos PGS tested, and got to euploid embryos, so Dr. C recommended transferring just 1.

Kofinas is a clean, well kept office. They have a great team there and will make sure you are taken care of. Morning monitoring times can be hectic, but if you get there early you will be in/out. Though there may be setbacks, you can absolutely trust in the advice given by Dr. C. He is the doctor you want by your side on the sometimes long road to having a baby. I recommend seeing Dr C at the Brooklyn office as he is there nearly every day and there was excellent continuity of care as, for the most part, I saw only him. His colleagues and the nursing staff are also excellent.

I do not fit the mold for the “perfect” IVF patient in terms of my BMI. Dr. C and I started this journey with the same goal, a successful pregnancy. From our first meeting to our last, my husband and I felt confident with our course of treatment. Everything he did was to get us to that goal successfully. You have to trust the process and trust your doctor. I can honestly say I don’t think we would have had a successful outcome if it wasn’t for him. If you need a doctor to be your alley and your advocate, Dr. C is for you!
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
He can’t help you if you don’t help yourself. Be proactive and responsible with your appointments and medication. Keep him informed when he is not seeing you and work together like a team.

I felt like a number with Dr. Harry because he dismissed my concerns about a lump in my breast that I brought to his attention on two separate visits. Not only that, but I found his actions and words to be extremely unprofessional. Instead of taking a pause from the treatment plan to ask me questions about the lump or perform a breast exam, we continued with 1 or 2 more failed IUI's...He did not inform me to make another appointment about it or even what kind of appointment I would need in order for him to look and give me additional information. It was not until my husband and I met with Dr. Harry for a fertility consultation that he performed a breast exam on my insistence and made a referral to a radiologist. From the time I brought the lump to Dr. Harry's attention to the time he performed a breast exam, my breast had gone through significant changes (inflamed skin; inverted nipple) which was later diagnosed as Stage 3 Breast Cancer,
The nursing staff [at Kofinas Fertility Group] were professional, caring, and helpful...The clinic failed to bill my insurance for covered injections costing me money out of pocket and time spent trying to get reimbursed from my insurance provider. The clinic kept reassuring me that my insurance covered the costs of IVF and failed to disclose the out of pocket facility fee ($5100) until I was already a patient, but I ultimately did not complete an IVF cycle with them. My insurance copay was $50 per monitoring visit because it was performed by a doctor.
How was your experience with Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
I was under the care of Dr. C (Dr. Harry) while my doctor was out on leave. He performed multiple monitoring appointments several times a week.
During one of them, I informed about a lump that had formed in my breast. Without looking at my breast or asking any further questions, he replied, "Breasts are lumpy and it was probably nothing bad." On a second occasion, I brought the lump to his attention again stating that it was still there and his response was that he could look at my breast but did not have the time. He did not inform me to make another appointment about it or even what kind of appointment I would need in order for him to look and give me additional information. It was not until my husband and I met with Dr. Harry for a fertility consultation that he performed a breast exam on my insistence and made a referral to a radiologist. From the time I brought the lump to Dr. Harry's attention to the time he performed a breast exam, my breast had gone through significant changes (inflamed skin; inverted nipple) which was later diagnosed as Stage 3 Breast Cancer, with inflammatory characteristics. If I had not continued to be insistent with Dr. Harry performing a breast exam and making a referral to a specialist, I doubt he would have ever re-visited it and the cancer could have spread even further. Since the skin became inflamed and the tumor was large, my oncologist recommended a very aggressive course of treatments (chemo, surgery, radiation, hormone meds). Because my tumor is estrogen and progesterone positive, part of my treatment has been to lower my hormone levels as it has been explained to me that these hormones feed my tumor. My intention for sharing this story is not to scare anyone seeking fertility treatments, but to highlight that there were opportunities for Dr. Harry to pause and gather more information before continuing with 1 or 2 more failed rounds of IUI - but he didn't, and as a result my treatment was delayed and my health was put at risk.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?

Dr. C is very personable, and takes the time to get to know you. He is always reachable by email, and answers in an appropriate amount of time. Never made it seem like I was bothering him...He keeps you at ease throughout the whole journey. No question is too stupid to ask. He has great bedside manner. The only con is that he doesn't see you throughout the whole pregnancy.
Clean, minimal decorative clinic [Kofinas Fertility Center]. Waiting room is quite big, so you don't feel like everyone is sitting on top of one another. The actual exam rooms are on the second floor, and they call you up and assign you an exam room...overall the nurses were great! it's a small team so you get to know them. My personal nurse care coordinator was lacking in communication and promptness. Have to run after her to get answers.

Dr. C is a kind and caring provider who gives custom and one-one care to his patients...adjusted my meds yielding 20 eggs in my first cycle...despite of two failed transfers, Dr C guided us through different protocols and finally our third transfer was successful resulting in two healthy babies
Kofinas primary strength...patient sees a doctor during every visit...doctors perform the ultrasound...Mio was my primary nurse. All the nurses were excellent during my day to day visits. The care I received during my egg retrieval and embryo transfer was very good in the OR and recovery
How was your experience with Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
We had a very negative experience with another provider who cancelled the IVF cycle since I was not responding as expected according to their protocol. My body responded poorly with IVF meds at Kofinas too, but instead of canceling the cycle Dr C adjusted my meds yielding 20 eggs in my first cycle with him despite of my diminished ovarian reserve due to my advanced age. I had 4 genetically tested embroys, and despite of two failed transfers, Dr C guided us through different protocols and finally our third transfer was successful resulting in two healthy babies. Dr C's personal involvement in our care and seeing him during every visit every other day during the egg retrieval/transfer cycle is the only reason why we had success in our first cycle. It is hard to find providers that are so invested in providing excellent care where we see a doctor during every visit.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
Ask lots of questions. Kofinas has all the latest fertility treatment options that are not available in other IVF clinics. Dr C is happy to answer all your questions and any research material that you may have looked up.

Kofinas primary strength is that the clinic is the only clinic I am aware where a patient sees a doctor during every visit and the doctors perform the ultrasound. The walk-in monitoring every morning is another strength of that clinic since the patients can see the doctors very frequently. I believe the only reason Kofinas has a high success rate with few cycles for women at advanced maternal age is due to these strengths. Kofinas clinic demonstrates a template for physician led fertility care in comparison to most other clinics that where a nurse communicates the protocol to the patient. I never felt treated like a number by this clinic.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Kofinas Fertility Group.
The monitoring appointments was a doctors visit who did the ultrasound and communicated changes to protocol and we could ask questions. This was a very critical aspect of care.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group.
We had insurance but the there were several procedures and out of network costs that was not covered by insurance which was very reasonable. We spent around 20K on total costs.
Describe Charalampos Chatzicharalampous's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Kofinas Fertility Group.
Tried single embryo transfer which failed two times. Used the remaining two embryos for multiple embryo transfer-both embryos successfully implanted.
His very upfront and always available! Very honest and sweet at the same time! He tells you everything before he does it and also gives you different options...Always answers every questioned and monitored everything on point...Dr Chatzicharalampous was amazing and got my procedures approved by my insurance. I had to pay for my copayment and medication.
7am and [the nurses] always had smiles on. Always very welcoming...Iui and Ivf the process can be Scary but at Kofinas from the time you walk in till the time you walk out you feel safe and most important all questions are always answered...The entire staff starting from receptionist to the MA, Nurses and Doctors are truly the most attentive and kind people to have under one facility.

I can’t say one bad thing about Kofinas. I started at a different clinic and what a big mistake! I’m so glad I walked threw Kofinas doors and met this amazing staff and doctors. Dr Chatzicharalampous was amazing and got my procedures approved by my insurance. I had to pay for my copayment and medication.
Dr. Chatzicharalampous was nice but he was a little on the colder side...My appointments always felt a bit rushed...[he] would often be standing up and ready to leave instead of asking if I had any more questions - as such, I would have to scramble a bit to ensure I got his attention and had my questions answered before he was up and out...My one desire is that he just took more time to explain the process, explain what was coming next, set loose expectations even if they might change etc. and to ensure questions are always answered before rushing out.
The clinic [Kofinas Fertility Group] is clean and the staff is overall quite friendly. My only note is I was very taken aback my first monitoring visit when I waited almost two hours before being seen...When I left I asked if this was common, and the front desk staff bluntly just said yes. No apologies for the inconvenience or anything like that...it would be courteous to warn people if they expect the appointments themselves to require 2+ hours.
How was your experience with Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
Dr. C was nice but he was a little on the colder side. He did not necessarily have the warmest bed side manner and often came off like he was in a rush. My one desire is that he just took more time to explain the process, explain what was coming next, set loose expectations even if they might change etc. and to ensure questions are always answered before rushing out.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
Be proactive with questions and information you want about the process from the start since you might not get it without asking. I had a stellar outcome so I'm very happy with the care I received but looking back, I wish I asked more questions about the process, what it was doing to my body, what the WHOLE timeline looked like so I could have a sense of what to expect etc. because as time went on, I realized I wasn't going to get it with Dr. C without asking. And to be persistent because you might feel rushed through your questions but insist on taking your time to go through them all regardless.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
My appointments always felt a bit rushed. If I had questions, Dr. C would often be standing up and ready to leave instead of asking if I had any more questions - as such, I would have to scramble a bit to ensure I got his attention and had my questions answered before he was up and out.
I also felt like I didn't get anything but the baseline information in each appointment, with info only going to the next time I come in. I never had a walk through of the whole process (i.e.: you'll be coming in every few days in the beginning and it will become more frequent toward the end. You can expect to start with 2 shots a night and ultimately go to 3 as the process progresses. Here are what the medicines are doing to your body to allow for this etc etc.) I went to a different fertility clinic for a consult that I didn't follow through with, but they were fantastic in explaining the science of what egg freezing entails and what the whole process looks like which was very comforting.
While I overall had a good experience at Kofinas, this was my main piece of feedback - that a little more care can be put into shedding light on the WHOLE process from the beginning (most of what I knew about the specifics of the process I learned from another clinic or Google), and just a tiny bit more time taken during the appointments to remind/explain what can be expected beyond just the next appointment (even if it's subject to change, it helps to understand what is going on.)
Describe the protocols Charalampos Chatzicharalampous used in your cycles at Kofinas Fertility Group and their degree of success.
-1 of each daily for a week (oral meds): 2mg Estradiol and 10 mg Medroxyprogesterone (This timed up with my cycle - the day the oral meds ended my period began - this would have been a cool process note the doctor could have shared to help set expectations and shed light on the process).
-Injections started the day my cycle ended: 2 x 75 iu of Gonal, 1 x 75 iu of Menopur
-After 5 days/on the morning of the 6th day, I was told to add a 25mg Cetritide injection in the morning, with 1 x 75 iu of Gonal and 2 x 75 iu of Menopur at night
-On the 10th day I was told only to take the Cetritide shot in the morning, with the trigger shots for 1230am that evening (1 shot of HCG and 1 shot of Lupron)
-On the 11th day (the day before the retrieval, I had 1 Lupron shot at 8am and 1 Lupron shot at 8pm.
-My retrieval was on the 12th day
Again, I am very very happy with the outcome - I was able to retrieve a comfortable number of eggs that has me feeling very good about the future, so the guidance and instruction from the doctors was very successful and I felt great the whole time. Just would've loved a bit more info and insight from the beginning and throughout the process.

Describe your experience with Kofinas Fertility Group.
The clinic is clean and the staff is overall quite friendly.
My only note is I was very taken aback my first monitoring visit when I waited almost two hours before being seen. (I arrived at 8:15 am and was not called into a room until 9:45 am. Then the doctor didn't come back until after 10am - I almost had to walk out because of work meetings. When I left I asked if this was common, and the front desk staff bluntly just said yes. No apologies for the inconvenience or anything like that. If that is common and is generally how mornings run, patients should be warned. I only block out about 2 hours from work for doctor appointments including commute time so it would be courteous to warn people if they expect the appointments themselves to require 2+ hours.
The front desk staff could be a little blunt and brash at times, but overall they were fine and I'm sure they get a lot thrown at them throughout the day.

This is echoing my other comments - there just wasn't a lot of light shed onto things without having to ask for them. I had to ask about a couple labs that were ordered. I got the info promptly after but I don't think I would have gotten the info without asking.
[Dr. Chatzicharalampous] took his time to answer all of my questions and was very helpful navigating this scary/uncertain journey...never left our appointments feeling rushed...very good at managing expectations...f I forgot to ask a question during our office appointments I would email him and he'd respond very quickly
[ Kofinas Fertility Group has] Very kind and compassionate nursing staff...did have 2 instances where wait times took over an hour...well coordinated in bringing people in swiftly to see Dr...were able to let me know if another pharmacy they worked with or the clinic itself had more affordable costs
How was your experience with Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
I researched and called a few clinics to see which clinic I'd like to work with, and I'm SO happy I chose Dr. Harry (Dr. C). He is incredibly kind and patient. He took his time to answer all of my questions and was very helpful navigating this scary/uncertain journey. I feel like he genuinely cared about me his patient. I never left our appointments feeling rushed, and if I forgot to ask a question during our office appointments I would email him and he'd respond very quickly. He is also very good at managing expectations. I'm very happy with my results, and I would recommend Dr. Harry to anyone who's interested in egg freezing / IVF.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
If you're unsure going through this procedure, at least book a consultation with Dr. Harry. He's very helpful answering any questions you may have and addressing concerns. He won't sugar coat anything (which I personally appreciated), but has great bedside manner and is skilled at being direct in a way that's easy to digest.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
Everyone at Kofinas was very warm and kind. I researched several clinics and I'm SO happy I chose Kofinas. I primarily went to the Brooklyn location but occationally went to their HQ at 65 Broadway, and their staff is just as warm as the BK staff.

Very kind and compassionate nursing staff.
Describe your experience with Kofinas Fertility Group.
For monitoring hours, try going as close to opening hours as possible to be seen sooner / lessen wait times. I did have 2 instances where wait times took over an hour, but one was on a Friday where I heard the front desk say they were short staffed and they apologized, and the second time was the day after a holiday weekend so was expected. Otherwise I was seen in a very timely manner.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Kofinas Fertility Group.
I was lucky that the clinic is located near my apartment and was able to go in close to opening hours to be seen quickly. The clinic is well coordinated in bringing people in swiftly to see Dr. C but I never felt like he was rushing to get to the next patient. The only time there was a longer than usual wait time was the day after a holiday weekend and was not the norm.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group.
Can't recall the cost of treatments, but I called the nurses once I knew which medications I needed from the pharmacy that was recommended, and they were able to let me know if another pharmacy they worked with or the clinic itself had more affordable costs. Everyone did their best to ensure I got the best price available.
From the first day we met Dr. C [Chatzicharalampous], we liked him because of his confidence and honesty...was always present in the clinic and knew/remembered exactly what was going on with my situation and procedure...he was always responsive whenever I have questions no matter how small the issue was
[Kofinas Fertility Group] team were always so nice and professional. They cared about our procedure as well as emotional aspects...Our primary nurse, Mio, and the whole nursing staff were so nice and professional...monitoring hour is 7-9 am. It is first-come first-serve basis
How was your experience with Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
After we had 3 failed IUI at a different clinic, we decided to seek for a different Dr. From the first day we met Dr. C, we liked him because of his confidence and honesty. We did 1 egg retrieval and 1 embryo transfer with Dr. C, and I am 12-week pregnant. He was always present in the clinic and knew/remembered exactly what was going on with my situation and procedure. He is only doctor in the Brooklyn office, and he is working so hard. Yet, he was always responsive whenever I have questions no matter how small the issue was. He has a great sense of humor, and he always tried to cheer us up whenever we were anxious about the result. I would recommend Dr. C to anyone who is struggling with infertility.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
Trust him and follow his method. It worked for us!

Mock Cycle : estradiol and progesterone oil 5 days before the mock cycle - then did ERA, EIP & NK cell test
Embryo transfer: estradiol, Lupron (20 units), then added Tacrolimus (1mg), Intralipid infusion (100ml) starting a week before the transfer then every week till 10 weeks of pregnancy, Neupogen (50 mcg) every day starting a week before the transfer till 10 weeks of pregnancy, HCG (1500 units) every other day for 3 times starting 2 days before the transfer, Lovenox (40 mg) every day starting the day before transfer till 11 weeks of pregnancy + calcium 1000 mg, Prednisone (10mg) every day (twice a day) starting the day after the transfer till 11 weeks of pregnancy

Describe your experience with your nurse at Kofinas Fertility Group. (Assigned nurse: Mio)
Our primary nurse, Mio, and the whole nursing staff were so nice and professional. They cared about our progress, and they were so excited when we got pregnant with our baby.
Describe your experience with Kofinas Fertility Group.
Strengths: great staff, great doctor, great team - they are truly the best team. They are very friendly, professional. And most importantly they know what they are doing. Also, the clinic has their own surgery center in Manhattan. You will see your doctor all the time (not like those clinics where you see a different person every time you go for procedure or monitoring).
Weaknesses: since there is only one doctor in this clinic, the wait time during the monitoring hour (7-9 am) can be very long. Also, you have to visit the clinic often during the procedure (I visited 3 times a week during the transfer cycle) but I think it is a good thing because they want to monitor the progress closely.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Kofinas Fertility Group.
The monitoring hour is 7-9 am. It is first-come first-serve basis so depending on the day, the wait can be very long. There is only one doctor in Brooklyn office, so it can get delayed.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group.
Copay every time visit the clinic: $25
Egg retrieval: about $10,000
Mock Cycle (ERA, EPA, NK Cell testing): about $2000

PGT: about $1500
Embryo storage: $1200 per year
Describe Charalampos Chatzicharalampous's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Kofinas Fertility Group.
I agreed with the Dr. C's POV regarding transferring only one embryo.
Dr. C coordinated and participated in 3 surgeries, which was understandably scary for me at first...Each surgery was a complete success. Because of my surgeries, and figuring out my fertility issues due to a blocked tube, I am currently going on 4 months pregnant...Prior to starting IUI treatment, blood work was conducted for both my husband and I, hsn and hsg was done to check functionality of my tubes, and to check my endometrial lining, and test for abnormalities.
Kofinas clinic is very clean, highly organized, filled with kind and compassionate people who strive to help you reach your treatment goals. The front desk staff are really nice and thorough. They answer their phones, and either direct you to the person you need in a timely manner, or take a message from you that they will deliver. The wait to see the doctor isn’t long and much quicker than many other clinics I’ve been to. The environment is an overall warm and welcoming environment.
How was your experience with Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
Dr. Charalampos a.k.a Dr. C, is a very compassionate doctor, who listened to my Husband and I concerns, and goals to one day become parents. Together, we came up with a great treatment plan to figure out what was causing our fertility issues, as we have been trying to conceive for over a year with no success. Dr. C is highly knowledgeable and explained thoroughly what to expect each visit. He helped us to feel safe and trusting to the process. Dr. C coordinated and participated in 3 surgeries, which was understandably scary for me at first. However, I was reassured each step of the way that it would be ok, and I was in good hands with excellent doctors. Each surgery was a complete success. Because of my surgeries, and figuring out my fertility issues due to a blocked tube, I am currently going on 4 months pregnant. YAY! I am beyond grateful for the support, expert guidance, and care I received at Kofinas. More importantly, I had the best doctor I have ever had in my life who truly cared and helped my husband and I achieve our goal of becoming parents. We thank you!

Advice I would give to a prospective patient is, don’t be afraid to ask questions. You’re both on this journey together.

Dr. C is a very compassionate doctor who listened to my husband and I concerns and goals, and together, we set up the best treatment plan with his expertise.
Describe the protocols Charalampos Chatzicharalampous used in your cycles at Kofinas Fertility Group and their degree of success.
Prior to starting IUI treatment, blood work was conducted for both my husband and I, hsn and hsg was done to check functionality of my tubes, and to check my endometrial lining, and test for abnormalities. A thorough transvaginal ultrasound was also conducted, as well as my Husband’s sperm was tested for any abnormality.
For each IUI session, I would first take clomid to stimulate the growth of multiple eggs. I’d take Clomid for roughly 5 days. Then I’d have a visit to check the growth of my eggs to see if any were ready for ovulation, based on their size. Once ready, I’d be given an injection to release the egg, and sperm will be inserted on 2 separate days. I’d then be instructed to utilize Progesterone suppositories to help with sustaining the pregnancy. Then, I’d go back in roughly 2 weeks later to check for pregnancy.
While the IUI’s were unsuccessful. The surgeries to remove 15 fibroids, polyps and endometriosis, helped my Husband and I to conceive. We also had an ectopic pregnancy, which revealed my blocked tube , and therefore my tube was removed upon my request. All these factors assisted in the success of my current pregnancy.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Kofinas Fertility Group.
All of the nurses I’ve worked with at Kofinas were very kind, supportive and overall excellent nurses. They were very communicative throughout my care and answered questions I may have. They made sure to relay messages to the doctor when necessary and followed up when needed.

Describe the costs associated with your care under Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group.
The cost for care with Dr. C was reasonable. I had to pay my regular copay during office visits, and a smaller cooay for blood work. Cost was typical of a doctor visit. All financial responsibilities were explained upfront.
Dr. Harry was knowledgeable and his methods are research and evidence based. The doctor explained everything to me as we went...I didn't feel like I was "talked down to" as many doctors like to do to patients and I felt things were collaborative in an effort to finally be successful...I think he's just cool and easy to converse with which is a nice consideration when someone is constantly looking at your vagina and you want to feel at ease.
Clinic [at Kofinas Fertility Group's] strengths: Solid teamwork, good doctors, good nurses, scheduling appointments and procedures is easy because they aren't grouped together in bulk like some places. Weaknesses: billing department was so hard to get in touch with, frequently gave conflicting and mostly unhelpful information...losing a document that both myself and my husband verified we signed in person.

Dr. Harry was knowledgeable and his methods are research and evidence based. The doctor explained everything to me as we went, which was important to me because I needed to know everything about everything in my treatment. I didn't feel like I was "talked down to" as many doctors like to do to patients and I felt things were collaborative in an effort to finally be successful. I had a long journey and was never made to feel like I should give up or we've tried all there is to do. Do and bring your own research and consistently advocate for yourself in treatment.

The doctor always remembered personal details I shared at previous appointments, was able to make jokes with me, and was open to research that I brought in.

For egg retrievals; Gonal, Menopur, Cetrotide, and Lupron triggers to minimize OHSS risk. I stimmed for about 10-12 days.
For transfer: First transfer I tried a natural transfer and that didn't work. Two more didn't work, and then we did a Lap to diagnose some stage 1 endo. I did one more transfer that didn't work. As later realized the problem was possibly also linked to autoimmune responses, my *fifth* transfer consisted of Prednisone, Metformin, Neupogen, Lovenox, PIO, prog suppository, Estrogen, Plaquenil, intralipids weekly, and intrauterine PRP.

We paid completely out of pocket. Retrieval plus one transfer costs about 17K, I believe. Each transfer thereafter is 6K. That does not include medications.

Definitely not willing to put in two unless under specific circumstances (for me, it was multiple failed transfers).

Lost paperwork
Provided conflicting information
Describe the specific things that went wrong at Kofinas Fertility Group.
Issues were mostly within the billing department not responding to my emails or calls, providing conflicting information about questions, losing a document that both myself and my husband verified we signed in person.
Doctor Harry was wonderful and caring. He was knowledgeable and clear. He always took time to explain things clearly to me. He has a very kind gentle demeanor...He was vigilant in responding to emails whenever I had questions and concerns. When there were rare things I experienced that he needed second opinions on, he reached out to senior doctors at the practice for further guidance. I appreciated that greatly. My second round of ivf was very taxing with many added medications. He knew the right combination for me! Now I’m 11 weeks pregnant!
The [Kofinas Fertility Group] clinic is clean and modern. The machinery is all too notch. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Only weakness is long wait times during monitoring hours due to it being very busy. But if you get there early you can avoid that...[nursing staff] were amazing. They would always help me with any need I ever had. They would take my calls immediately or call back right after. They were patient and answered all questions. They took their time and made sure I fully understood everything about the process and medications. They were friendly and compassionate. I can’t say enough good things about them!

Doctor Harry was wonderful and caring. He was knowledgeable and clear. He always took time to explain things clearly to me. He has a very kind gentle demeanor. Fertility struggles are extremely mentally, physically and emotionally draining and he is very supportive. He was vigilant in responding to emails whenever I had questions and concerns. What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
Make sure to clear enough time in the morning for the appointments. There can sometimes be lengthy wait times due to many women needing his care. It’ll all be worth it when he gets to you!
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
Doctor Harry was always patient and understanding. He took the time to answer all my questions and gave me confidence in the process when I started to feel like giving up. He never spoke negatively to me and was always very kind. There were many times I thought it may never happen for me after 3 years of trying and he always reassured me.
Describe the protocols Charalampos Chatzicharalampous used in your cycles at Kofinas Fertility Group and their degree of success.
Doctor Harry recommended doing a mock transfer before my first transfer to try and identify and further causes for infertility. Against his advice I chose to do the transfer due to the way it would have processed with the insurance. After the first round failed I went ahead with the mock cycle. He was able to identify two issues and treat them during the transfer and first trimester and it worked and got me pregnant after three years of trying. I had two surgeries, multiple iuis and medicated cycles before trying ivf.

Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Kofinas Fertility Group.
There are no appointments for monitoring. They have walk in hours from 7-9. With that being said it is first come first serve and many woman show up before the clinic opens to get their spot in line. So I recommend getting there early to avoid long wait times.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group.
Each copay is $50 unless you are there for just bloodwork which is $20. For the iui cycle insurance covered most of the costs. For ivf it was $5600 facility fee for one retrieval and one transfer (this portion is not covered by insurance). It’s an additional $5000 for PGT genetic testing which I highly recommend. There are also fees associated with cryo preservation and storage of the embryos. Be prepared for the copays as you will be in the clinic 3-4 times a week during a cycle. Medication can be expensive but if you purchase suppositories outside of the clinic you can get them cheaper.
Describe Charalampos Chatzicharalampous's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Kofinas Fertility Group.
I initially wanted to attempt a two embryo transfer. Doctor Harry advised against it and listed the reasons why. At first I was discouraged and disappointment. However, after doing some research I saw that single was the safest way. Now that I am pregnant I am glad I decided to go with the single embryo transfer.
He [Dr. Chatzicharalampous] was honest about my conditions, risks, and needs and took every step to ensure things were done correctly and with the best available information and treatment...He would respond very quickly to emails at all times of day with questions I had, and supported decision making around different treatments, and while the clinic would sometimes be busy he would do things efficiently but take time to explain and describe what he was seeing. I don't think I could have asked for a better Dr.
The Dr and Nursing team as well as reception team at Kofinas is nothing but the best! You will receive the best care by highly skilled doctors. There can be long waits sometimes, but other times there is no wait...The one major weakness I found is the finance department at Kofinas...the finance department lost ~$5000 worth of checks and then blamed me, sent me to collections without even telling me...keep copies and receipts of all your billing because the finance department is not organized or very helpful.
How was your experience with Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
I had a good experience with Dr. C. I was really not excited about fertility treatment and he let me take my time with different procedures and work around my schedule. I ended up doing 2 IUI cycles and 1 IVF, IVF worked the first time. He was honest about my conditions, risks, and needs and took every step to ensure things were done correctly and with the best available information and treatment. Kofinas is a very high quality clinic with expert Dr.s and nurses. He would respond very quickly to emails at all times of day with questions I had, and supported decision making around different treatments, and while the clinic would sometimes be busy he would do things efficiently but take time to explain and describe what he was seeing. I don't think I could have asked for a better Dr.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
I think be prepared for the long haul of fertility treatment which is not necessarily a piece of advice for working with Dr. C. He will advocate for the very best treatment - he is a smart and thorough Dr. Be comfortable asking questions. There are other clinics out there that have different standards of care - Kofinas and Dr. C provide the highest quality i've seen.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
Dr. C is efficient and direct but has a good bedside manor. He always listened to my questions, concerns, and advocated for me and the best care.
Describe the protocols Charalampos Chatzicharalampous used in your cycles at Kofinas Fertility Group and their degree of success.
I used a medicated natural cycle, because I wasn't ready for the invasiveness of IUI or IVF - this was taking a pill and then having timed intercourse. This was not successful.
I did 2 IUI treatments, with medication (hormones and trigger shot) - these were not successful.
I did egg retrieval - I got 36 eggs, 21 made it to day 5 embryo, and 6 passed the genetic test. This was on many medications for hormones. I did a blood infusion treatment (i think) following egg retrieval to reduce over stimulation syndrome. I was very uncomfortable following egg retrieval but that was expected and it went away after a few weeks. I was on a high protein diet.
After the embryo transfer I was on a mix of hormones, then then a multiple week treatment of progesterone oil, suppositories, estradiol, estradiol cream, lenovox, and metformin. This resulted in a positive pregnancy (I'm ~11 weeks) on the first try.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Kofinas Fertility Group.
The nursing staff at Kofinas are amazing. All so kind, efficient, and skilled in fertility nursing.
Describe your experience with Kofinas Fertility Group.
The Dr and Nursing team as well as reception team at Kofinas is nothing but the best! You will receive the best care by highly skilled doctors. There can be long waits sometimes, but other times there is no wait- so it could just be the difference in when more women decide to get treatment.
The one major weakness I found is the finance department at Kofinas. I had progeny which uses balance billing for Blue Cross - which is great because most of my costs are covered. How it works is that they send me checks and then I have to deliver them to Kofinas. I did this every time. However, the finance department lost ~$5000 worth of checks and then blamed me, sent me to collections without even telling me. So I"m totally panicked (on the day before my embryo transfer no less) that I got a call from collections. I then proceed to spend hours on the phone with Blue Cross and trying to track down the copies of the checks to make sure I didn't loose one. Finally Blue Cross sends me the copies of the cashed checks Kofinas lost - and in fact they did receive them and cash them. So they simply lost them and couldn't track them down and then instead of asking me - they sent me to collections. The finance department never apologized for this. In fact they still can't find one check for $180 - which I'm certain they have (same bank address for cashing). There is also some confusion about what is covered in the surgical center and in the regular clinic. I needed D & C (embryo scrape) 3 times - this is a standard procedure that is covered under my Blue Cross - except it isn't covered for some reason in the surgical center. After some confusion about paying out of pocket I just went to another clinic that was covered to have it done so I didn't have to pay $3k (but Dr. C did advocate for me this should be covered). SO all to say- keep copies and receipts of all your billing because the finance department is not organized or very helpful.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Kofinas Fertility Group.
This was efficient. Most of the time I was in and out in one hour- sometimes it took much longer, other times less.

The billing/finance department lost checks I gave them (after they cashed them). And sent me wrong and confusing bills.
My experience as one of Dr Charalampos Chatzicharalampous patients was phenomenal!! The man knows everything! He had answered for all my questions. I never left there feeling discouraged or disappointed or not knowing what's the next step is. He made everything seems so simple and i like that alot about him. He's very encouraging. If i have to do this all over again i would definitely choose Dr Harry. I'm very confident in him. I also love the fact that he does all his sonograms and not sending you to get it done from a second party.
The [Kofinas Fertility Group] staff was very friendly and helpful and the clinic was very organized and clean. Overall i had a great experience with everyone there. They all was very compassionate and caring. I never had to sit there and wait long to see the Doctor it was always a in a out deal...I also did 2 cycles of IUI and here I'm now 20 weeks pregnant can't wait to meet my little girl! Thank you very much Dr Harry!

He puts all his patients above and beyond. He never gets frustrated or tired of me asking questions no matter if it was the same questions i asked a minute ago in a different way. He's very compassionate and caring. He was always a phone call or text message away when i needed answers for all my questions. He's very intelligent and he knows exactly what he's doing. I really do appreciated all the help i received from him and his staff

I was very jaded by the time I came to Dr. Harry [Dr. Charalampos Chatzicharalampous] . I was convinced from previous experience that I would never have a biological child...Dr. Harry got me pregnant on my first ever frozen transfer with my own embryo, which is something my husband and I never thought would be possible. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Dr. Harry...we can never convey what you have done for us.
Kofinas Fertility does all their procedures in their Manhattan office. The facility is VERY clean and run like a well oiled machine. The staff is very professional and responsive to your needs. I feel like the facility was the cleanest office I have every been to, including hospitals. I love that they also get fresh flowers delivered weekly...After experiencing 4 doctors prior to Dr. Harry, I can truly say I have never felt so taken care of from my doctor and nurses. They were all so committed and invested in my journey.
How was your experience with Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
I was very jaded by the time I came to Dr. Harry. I was convinced from previous experience that I would never have a biological child. On my first meeting with Dr. Harry he asked me if after 20 rounds of IVF if I knew what my infertility issue was, to which I responded DOR. He informed me that's not a cause of infertility. He suggested to do a laparoscopy which revealed a lot of issues that my doctor fixed. I truly feel I could not have gotten pregnant without this procedure, which no doctor had ever brought up to me. None of my previous doctors would allow by embryos past day 3 as I only made 1-2 each cycle. Dr. Harry not only pushed my embryos past day 3 but was able to get me 2 day 5 good to great quality embryos. Dr. Harry got me pregnant on my first ever frozen transfer with my own embryo, which is something my husband and I never thought would be possible. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Dr. Harry...we can never convey what you have done for us.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
Trust in his knowledge and recommendations. There were times I felt he was doing too much, but I followed what he said and now am pregnant for the first time in my life at 39 years old.

Describe the protocols Charalampos Chatzicharalampous used in your cycles at Kofinas Fertility Group and their degree of success.
I only have 1-3 follicles a cycle so I thought I would be on low dosage protocols which I was surprised to find out that my dosage was higher than previous doctors had used on me. I was definitely questioning my protocol but I followed his instructions to the letter and am glad I did.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Kofinas Fertility Group.
I LOVED my nurses! I knew them by name and each one were so invested in my journey. They made me feel so welcomed and were good at taking bloods, which is sometimes hard to find, but I did not have any issues with any nurses. I hugged all my nurses when I graduated.

This would be the only negative experience. The good thing is you always get your doctor but the wait for monitoring hours can easily go up to 1.5 hours.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group.
I was very fortunate that Kofinas took my insurance so my costs were very minimal.
Describe Charalampos Chatzicharalampous's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Kofinas Fertility Group.
My doctor would only allow 1 embryo transfer which is what I wanted. He allowed me to chose which embryo to transfer first but suggested to transfer the best quality first.
What specific things went wrong at Kofinas Fertility Group?
Provided conflicting information
Describe the specific things that went wrong at Kofinas Fertility Group.
The only issue that came up was with the billing department. I was incorrectly told by the front desk that my procedure for that day was not covered by my insurance which it was. I asked to talk to the billing department head who came out and said that the procedure was covered by my insurance and that she didn't know why the front desk is claiming otherwise. This was a little aggravating as it caused me stress before my procedure.
There will never be enough thanks to put into words all that Dr. (Harry) Chatzicharalampous did for us. Right from the start he was both kind and direct about what to expect throughout the experience. I've always had a fear around the pain associated with the gyno, but Dr. Harry was gentle, fast, and efficient. He made a high-stressed situation bearable with his constant updates and compassion. We believe it was thanks to his tweaking of my personal protocols that we were able to get 40 (!!!) eggs from our first retrieval and were lucky to have the first be a success.
[Kofinas Fertility Group] Strengths: AMAZING and smart doctors, family-run vibe, accepting of all walks of life, non-judgmental, high touch (you see the doctors every time!), and easy to access locations Weakness: Finances were still super confusing to me - but I guess that's just anything related to insurance...Dr. (Harry) Chatzicharalampous was extremely empathetic throughout the course of our IVF journey. He was patient with our many, many questions and we never felt rushed or dismissed. Once we were pregnant, Dr. Harry continued to be there as a support for us throughout a quite complicated pregnancy.

He acted as a sounding board when we didn't know where to turn and we believe our little amazing warrior of a baby girl is thanks to him! We cannot recommend Dr. Harry enough to anyone struggling to conceive and we look forward to sharing with him how our little one grows and to receive further treatments should we expand our family again. THANK YOU DOCTOR HARRY!
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
The BK office is an offshoot of the main Kofinas location in Manhattan. It's worth the trip to see Dr. Chatzicharalampous. If you have questions you want answered, don't be embarrassed to ask - he has broad and deep knowledge of fertility and genetics and is happy to go into great detail sharing his experience and advice. He is a father himself and speaks from both the heart and science.

We had had a few previous miscarriages before attending Dr. (Harry) Chatzicharalampous, but immediately during the consultation he had a hunch of what would be the most successful approach for us. A full assessment/work-up prepared us for the journey ahead and allowed Dr. Harry to tweak a combination of Clomid, Metformin, and vitamins for me to take that would lead to the harvesting of eggs. As a couple, we opted for a few rounds of timed intercourse, followed by IUI, and then ultimately found success with our first round of an IVF transfer.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Kofinas Fertility Group.
Every nurse we met we loved. They were exceedingly gentle with the daily blood work (almost painless!) and emotionally supportive throughout the entirety of our time at Kofinas. The nurses were kind enough to even draw circles for me to remember exactly where to inject myself during the IVF process - something that took the stress away when I was doing it for myself at home.

Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Kofinas Fertility Group.
Monitoring appointments were first come first served. Every day was a different situation in terms of wait and time. Bring a book, laptop, or something else to entertain you and come early if you have a big day ahead!
Describe the costs associated with your care under Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group.
We were fortunate to have an insurance planning with great coverage for fertility treatments. Most of our OOP costs were co-pays, the appropriate drugs and medicine, and for the genetics testing/embryo storing.
Describe Charalampos Chatzicharalampous's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Kofinas Fertility Group.
For our situation, a single embryo transfer was all that was allowed/advised. We are grateful this as I personally struggled with pregnancy given prior medical conditions.
Dr C [Chatzicharalampous] was always very open to answer any questions I had and was very responsive to all communications...very honest on his opinion regarding treatment/process (but ultimately allowed me to make the decisions that I felt were best). He had a very positive but realistic attitude...Make sure you are able to be proactive with questions. You may not get everything you need up front but he is more than willing to address any questions/concerns...
Nurses [at Kofinas Fertility Group] were always very nice & i appreciated getting the update calls...for the most part I didnt have issues but there were a number of instances where morning monitoring took 2 hrs (which is challenging when you work full time) - Billing; ended up getting everything figured out but billing was confusing at times...Multiple facilities; I went to both the Bklyn & Lower Manhattan Location...
How was your experience with Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
Dr C was great -- he was prompt at follow-ing up with question (either in person or via email) and also very honest on his opinion regarding treatment/process (but ultimately allowed me to make the decisions that I felt were best). He had a very positive but realistic attitude, which is helpful when youre going through something that has no guarantees.

During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
Dr C was always very open to answer any questions I had and was very responsive to all communications. This was a stark contrast to the other clinic I went to where I barely interacted with my doctor

Nurses were always very nice & i appreciated getting the update calls
Describe your experience with Kofinas Fertility Group.
Strengths:
- Seeing a doctor during monitoring; in my prior clinic all i saw were techs who were unable to answer questions (I felt very much in the dark on progress & through 3 IUI cycles I spoke with my doctor maybe 3 times total, which includes the initial consult)
- Multiple facilities; I went to both the Bklyn & Lower Manhattan Location
Weaknesses
- Wait Times; for the most part I didnt have issues but there were a number of instances where morning monitoring took 2 hrs (which is challenging when you work full time)
- Billing; ended up getting everything figured out but billing was confusing at times (between what my SOB says vs what i actually had to pay); not sure if this was due to the fact that my company offers Progyny fertility coverage so that made billing more complicated

I always felt like a person rather than a number on a list when I went into the Kofinas office. Describe the protocols Charalampos Chatzicharalampous used in your cycles at Kofinas Fertility Group and their degree of success.
With my secondary infertility being unexplained, we did several tests to try and figure out what was going on, but never really landed on a clear explanation. We did two rounds of IUI, with the understanding that the odds of conception were low. After two unsuccessful inseminations, we decided to move quickly to IVF. We had a successful egg retrieval and our first transfer took. I am currently 8 months pregnant and expecting a baby boy in November!

How was your experience with Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
I never once felt uncomfortable with a decision or appointment with Dr.C. He is the best doctor - not only because I’m now pregnant but because I trusted him - down to begging him to deliver my baby due in January because I really didn’t want to leave! I would recommend Dr.C to anyone needing fertility treatment - he always followed up with facts and his professional opinion on things, always answered emails timely, and always was friendly and made the appointments easy - even the hard ones.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
Listen to what he says because he knows his stuff!!! I may have been a more difficult and defiant patient - again not the biggest fan of medicine but everything Dr.C told me to do, I did and it resulted in a positive pregnancy!
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
Dr. C is downright amazing. I am a skeptic when it comes to medicine because I don’t like taking it and frankly sometimes I think I know more - from Google not because I have a medical degree but Dr. C made me feel comfortable in every step I took. He gave me information I needed in order to make decisions and make the process - even though most times out of ones control feel like I decided every step.
He always answered my emails super timely and always made time to see me if there was an issue.

Iui #1 - 1 day because I only had 1 decent follicle and Dr.C did not want to waste donor sperm on a cycle that was likely to be unsuccessful. 2.5 mg letrozole
Iui #2 - 2 days Bc I had 1 good follicle. 5 mg letrozole
Iui #3 - 1 day even though I had 2 good follicles but this was my choice. Possible 10 mg chlomid
1st FET cycle was successful - 2mg Estradiol 4x a day, 40mg lovenox 4x a day, viagra before cycle 2x a day, progesterone oil up until 10 weeks & progesterone suppositories 3x a day up until 10 weeks

Dr. Harry [aka Dr. Chatzicharalampous] always treated me with great respect and care and was extremely personable, friendly, helpful and kind...Unfortunately [he] was OOO during my monitoring period before my retrieval, so he wasn't the one administering the visits/treatment plans while I was doing the hormones leading up to retrieval...Always responded to me quickly and took initiative in helping me to understand any questions or concerns I may have had.
Everyone at Kofinas, including the girls who work the front desk, is extremely helpful and friendly. I always felt comfortable, the spaces are all very clean and orderly and it's very impressive what they achieve on a daily basis given the sheer volume of patients that utilize them...For my retrieval, I paid a $2,700 fee to Kofinas, a $1,100 facility fee to Manhattan Reproductive Surgery Center and a separate $400 for Albumin IV for Hyperstimulation. I am still waiting on that to be submitted to my insurance company to hopefully be reimbursed
How was your experience with Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
Similar to my last response, Dr. Harry always treated me with great respect and care. He is extremely personable, kind and genuine. I feel that he actually cares about me as a human being and not just another name on his list of patients any given day.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
To not think twice because he's a man. I feel like a lot of women can get uncomfortable with a man in this field, but in no way shape or form did I ever even think twice about the fact that I was seeing a male doctor for this. He made me feel just as comfortable as any female doctor could have.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group?
Dr. Harry always treated me with great respect and care and was extremely personable, friendly, helpful and kind. There is a genuineness that comes off from him and he made me feel entirely comfortable throughout the process. Always responded to me quickly and took initiative in helping me to understand any questions or concerns I may have had.
Describe the protocols Charalampos Chatzicharalampous used in your cycles at Kofinas Fertility Group and their degree of success.
Unfortunately Dr. Harry was OOO during my monitoring period before my retrieval, so he wasn't the one administering the visits/treatment plans while I was doing the hormones leading up to retrieval. I did sense a small bit of disappointment after my retrieval in that he had hoped my retrieval numbers would have been slightly higher but that he didn't do my monitoring so he didn't know if there was a reason why I didn't get the 20-25 number he had hoped for. After hearing that, I had wished he had done my monitoring so as to see if I would have gotten different results.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Kofinas Fertility Group.
There was one nurse that I was particularly fond of and I hate that I can't remember her name right now. Black girl with braids that I saw back in 2021 when I first started and again during some of my visits in 2022. I felt like she remembered me personally the most and she was also the most gentle. The last nurse I saw on 4/7 post retrieval was my worst interaction because she had a hard time with the blood draw and made it quite uncomfortable and had to use both of my arms. That was my only less than stellar encounter - otherwise all nurses were extremely kind, gentle and helpful.

Everyone at Kofinas, including the girls who work the front desk, is extremely helpful and friendly. I always felt comfortable, the spaces are all very clean and orderly and it's very impressive what they achieve on a daily basis given the sheer volume of patients that utilize them.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Kofinas Fertility Group.
Monitoring was extremely convenient. The only thing I wish that could have been different was that I wish Dr Harry was in the office during that time. Unfortunately with the way the scheduling worked out and my cycle, he was OOO and I think I would have felt a bit more confident about the entire thing had he been able to see me through start to finish.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Charalampos Chatzicharalampous at Kofinas Fertility Group.
I paid a $35 copay every single time I visited the clinic. I paid $275 to Freedom Care Fertility Pharmacy for my injectable hormones.
