I am a nurse myself but during the 1st visit I felt so lost. He [Dr. Montville] was very knowledgeable but was talking so fast and was describing things that I had no studied up on in years...things were very detailed and had no clue as to what he was saying...I felt as though my treatments weren’t personalized or dependent upon my personal situation but rather we will try this and keep our fingers crossed and hope it works. I also feel that instead of really trying to figure why I wasn’t getting pregnant I was just given meds instead. I was also advised to really think about IVF even though during my 1st visit I discussed that my husband and I did not want to pursue IVF and if that was our only option then we would go the adoption route.
First visit [at Nashville Fertility Center] was $400-$450 for consult and semen analysis. Ultrasound was $200 per ultrasound...Strengths: Friendly staff. Nice office setting. Easy location to get to. Multiple doctors in practice. Weaknesses: Failure to communicate with patients and make sure that they are statisfied with care received (since you are having to pay out of pocket for treatments and office visits. My insurance does not cover any of the treatments.
How was your experience with Christopher Montville at Nashville Fertility Center (US Fertility Network clinic)?
I am a nurse myself but during the 1st visit I felt so lost. He was very knowledgeable but was talking so fast and was describing things that I had no studied up on in years. So things I remember but other things were very detailed and had no clue as to what he was saying. I can’t even imagine how some people feel when they leave and have no medical background. It makes me sad. You spend so much money and to feel completely lost is a terrible feeling and very intimidating. My personal situation was I did a round of Femara and went in for Transvaginal Ultrasound and trigger shot. I never seen him at that visit. The sonographer came in and did my Ultrasound and said well unfortunately it looks as though you have no follicles? The wording I can’t quite remember but I was basically told it didn’t work. I asked about doing the trigger shot that day in hopes of that helping. Her respond was the trigger shot wouldn’t help me. Grant it I was very excited and hopeful that I would respond to Femara. I had did 5 or 6 rounds of Clomid and did not respond whatsoever to this. I never did the trigger shot with Femara. He wanted to switch me to Femara so I did. After I was told by the sonographer that the Femara didn’t work. I was told to come out of the room once I was dressed. A nurse was waiting on me when I came out and she said she would speak with Dr. Montville and I would get a call that day. I never seen him nor did a doctor come in during the ultrasound to look at my ovaries. He called me that evening and spoke to me about other options. I was also told that I need to lose weight and he thinks that is why I am not getting pregnant. Looking back I wish I would have requested that a doctor come in and look during my ultrasound if Dr. Montville was available for what’s er reason. I felt that he should’ve followed up with me and made an effort to let me know that my time and feelings were valuable because quite frankly after that visit it showed that he just did not care at all. It’s hard enough to be infertile but to be infertile and reach out for help and not get the help you need or expected just flat out sucks.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Christopher Montville at Nashville Fertility Center (US Fertility Network clinic)?
Do your reserach about your own diagnosis’s. Ask questions even if you feel rushed. DEMAND to see him or a doctor after treatments. Don’t expect empathy. If you are expecting to feel that your time and money matters-My advise: See another doctor.

Describe the protocols Christopher Montville used in your cycles at Nashville Fertility Center (US Fertility Network clinic) and their degree of success.
I’m sorry it has been a few years since I had seen him. After seeing him and having my heart broke and feeling hopeless I have not seen another doctor to get help. I did the max dose of Femara. I had purchased the Trigger shot that I had to pay $110 dollars for that was never used. I was not asked to come in a couple of days later to see if I responding then. I was just told by a sonographer that it didn’t work. He said Femara works better for people with PCOS which is why I started that. The outcome: Not responsive.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Nashville Fertility Center (US Fertility Network clinic).
The nurses were always nice and professional. I never had an issue with them or Nashville Fertility as a whole.

Dr. Montville took the time to explain the process of egg freezing for fertility preservation to me. He is very knowledgeable and kind. Unfortunately, I had poor response to stimulation meds and was unable to move forward with egg retrieval with Dr. Montville. When he realized the cycle was not going to work out, he personally called me on the phone to explain the details and walked me through the options. He spent at least 20 minutes on the phone with me that day
The MD that I saw, the staff, and nurses were great. However, I have little faith in the technology, lab, and protocols utilized at this clinic [Nashville Fertility Center] I believe their intentions are good, but they lack the experience and technology that some high-volume centers have.... I was on a protocol that used OCPs for priming/suppression and then Lupron. I stimulated with Menopur and Bravelle. After day 7 of stims, I had 0 follicles greater than 10mm. Dr. Montville determined that because I had been on OCPs for so long, I was over suppressed. He wanted me to stay off OCPs for a few months and try again. I did that, but sought out a second opinion in a different state.
How was your experience with Christopher Montville at Nashville Fertility Center (US Fertility Network clinic)?
Dr. Montville is a wonderful human being, but I have no faith in Nashville Fertility Clinic at all. Once I had received a second opinion, that MD believed I was on the wrong protocol, medication type, and dosage while at Nashville Fertility. I spent several thousand dollars on medications, only to have a cancelled cycle.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Christopher Montville at Nashville Fertility Center (US Fertility Network clinic)?
Do your research on clinic data and success rates. Often times, the lab and protocols are much more important than the skill of the physician.

Dr. Montville carefully walked through each step of the process with us. He has a very good bedside manner. During consultations he took the time to answer all questions carefully. I never felt rushed during our visits. He developed treatment plans based on my specific needs and concerns and was open to discussing different courses of treatment if our options changed...Unmedicated IUI- baseline ultrasound on day 3, ultrasound on day 14, and IUI completed on day 16. Trigger shot was used after third ultrasound.
The nursing staff [at Nashville Fertility Center] was compassionate and took the time to answer all of our questions completely. During procedures the nurses took care to make me as comfortable as possible. They helped to settle my nerves during all procedures...$1400 for IUI. $100 for medication...The clinic was very efficient. There was occasionally a wait, especially to make new patient appointments. Appointments such as blood draws and ultrasounds went quickly with little downtime. Parking was very easy with a lot on site.

Dr. Montville is caring and compassionate. From my initial virtual consult (during Covid) I knew I’d picked the right doctor for me...He’s very knowledgeable, understanding and cares about patient’s care. Always attentive to my questions and concerns. Walked me through current and future procedures so I’d know what to expect. Will definitely recommend to family or friends
[Nursing staff at Tennessee Fertility Institute are] Very caring. Promptly answered any questions I had. Very communicative and precise...Truly loved my embryologist Jennifer Miller. From selecting a egg donor to a sperm donor she was helpful to ensuring selections were compatible to my medical history. Grateful to have plethora of experience to guide me through the process. Couldn’t have done it without her

Dr. Christopher Monteville does all the diagnostic testing himself, calls you personally performs all procedures himself...He called me at 6pm from his cell phone to go over what went wrong, what expectations to have next and future plans...He will transfer one PGS tested embryo at the time...All treatments are catered to each patient...
The nurse of [Tennessee Fertility Institute] forgot to send my pain medications Rx to the pharmacy...It is a small clinic so appts are slightly limited, but the kind of care you receive from all staff including front desk, nurses, IVF coordinators, and doctors outweighs the limited appts...$19000 for RE, transfer and genetic testing...All the IVF coordinators are very prompt and caring

All the IVF coordinators are very prompt and caring. You dont feel like a number. All treatments are catered to each patient instead of a cookie cutter treatment like other clinics in Nashville. We always felt listened to, no matter how absurd or paranoid our questions sounded! Dr. Montville always took the time to hear us out and we felt like the only patients in the office whenever we came for treatments and follow up appointments...He was thorough at every step of the process and always explained what to expect, as well as the risks. [Tennessee Fertility Institute] It's in a great part of town and easy to get to from the highway (I was coming from outside of Franklin). The clinic is clean, well-lit and overall, very welcoming. Be aware that he [Dr. Montville] is very direct in his communication style. There is not a lot of sugarcoating... took his time to explain the procedures and the likely outcomes based on our sperm counts. When I pushed back about the necessity of a third beta after low doubling results, he listened and ultimately abided by our wishes to skip the test...was very clear in his communication regarding our issues, the potential success rates and in dealing with our issues after ectopic pregnancy. He also had a very warm bedside manner and it was obvious he cared about the patients.
The nurses were okay [at Nashville Fertility Center]. I don’t have strong feelings for or against...The clinic is extremely busy and wait times can be long. The waiting room is often jam packed and they do not endorse the “no children” rule. I found toddlers in the clinic to be very hard to deal with in an extremely sensitive time. The clinic is easy to access with good parking and is very well organized...Monitoring ultrasounds were around $500 and each IUI was around $1100.

I saw Dr.Montville and absolutely loved him! We drove 2 hours and 45 min each appointment just because we trusted him more than any of the other doctors we met with prior to deciding who we wanted to pursue our IVF journey with. He is upfront and honest which is always my preference. He takes time to explain everything and is genuine about the care he gives to his patients...
The staff was great as well. They respond quickly and give your lab results in a couple hours after the appointment. They are quick and efficient. I would recommend Tennessee Fertility Institute to anyone needing reproductive assistance...Medicines cost about $2900. Ivf freeze all with ICSI and transfer was $13,000 PGT was $5500

He is upfront and honest which is always my preference. He takes time to explain everything and is genuine about the care he gives to his patients. The staff was great as well. They respond quickly and give your lab results in a couple hours after the appointment. They are quick and efficient. I would recommend Tennessee Fertility Institute to anyone needing reproductive assistance.

be prepared to implement treatment right away rather than spending a considerable amount of time thinking through what you want to do. Dr. Montville and his staff are very ready to start treatment immediately, and if you're not sure you're ready to move forward, you could feel somewhat rushed to make a decision...I have not been educated about this approach [Eset Approach].
The nursing staff [at Tennessee Fertility Institute] are very positive, knowledgeable, and helpful...The IUI was $1200, and the medications were about $70-$140 depending on the dosage...I am overall satisfied with this clinic. I do find it frustrating that they're only open Monday-Thursday. It would be very helpful if they were open on Fridays. I appreciate their prompt responses on the patient portal online communication platform. They are understanding and will often work around scheduling conflicts and the inevitable unpredictability of fertility concerns.
How was your experience with Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
Dr. Montville is newer to this practice, and I prefer him over the doctor who I saw previously (Dr. Donna Session). I didn't feel that Dr. Session had adequate listening skills, and she didn't educate me on the procedures or conditions as much as I would have liked. Dr. Montville's interactions with us have been much more thorough and tailored to what we want to know and do.

Dr. Montville's eye contact, tone of voice, and listening skills are very personable. I am thankful for his patience in thoroughly explaining conditions and procedures as well. He listens to my concerns, my husband's concerns, and gives detailed, insightful answers.
Describe the protocols Christopher Montville used in your cycles at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic) and their degree of success.
I used letrozole with timed intercourse for 2-3 cycles with no pregnancies resulting from it. I then went on several months of norethindrone to keep my endometriosis symptoms suppressed while we figured out next steps. I then took letrozole, used an HSG trigger shot, and had an IUI with my husband's sperm. This did not result in a positive pregnancy.

Dr.Montville is absolutely amazing. From the initial consult to the testing in clinic, i couldnt ask for a better doctor. He is so down to earth, compassionate and you can tell he genuinely cares about his patients. You arent just a number when you go in. I went in super nervous but he made it comfortable...Havent received a positive test yet but ive had a good response each time...
From the first moment you step in to this clinic [Tennessee Fertility Institute] they make you feel like family. Everyone i have came in contact with has been absolutely amazing...The appointment runs smooth from check in to check out. they do run a little behind occasionally but show me a doctors office that doesn't. They are a small clinic so its expected...[nurse] went out of her way to answer/find the answer to every tedious question that I have.

He [Dr. Christopher Montville] was very welcoming and broken down all the information so myself and husband could understand it...started by welcoming us to a coffee with the Dr meeting so we had the opportunity to meet other families going through this and figure out where to start. We are at the early stages of our fertility issues and other drs we have met with just seemed to push off our questions. Mr. Montville sat with us and went over all of our testing until we understood what was going on- he even drew picture and would write down notes for us to take with us.
They [nurses at Nashville Fertility Center] where very sweet and helped my through some very painful testing. They did a great job of talking to me during it and keeping me calm...The clinic is very clean and i have never see any issues. Lots of parking which in the Nashville area is not always the case. Staff is very welcoming, and looks like a new space. I have never had any issues...He [Dr. Christopher Montville] was very welcoming and broken down all the information so myself and husband could understand it.

Dr. Montville is the best fertility doctor we have had since we stated this journey in 2019...Called me by my name, speaks about my daughter who died. calls to check on myself and my husband when he hasn't seen us around in clinic...will transfer one embryo with me having the history of preterm labor
Strengths [of Tennessee Fertility Institute] are awesome communication, the environment/ office is very homey and patient friendly...was always taken back at my appt time. when sending a patient message they would get back with me same day...don't have any complaints so we don't have any weaknesses to share at this time.

We’ve had a great experience with dr Montville so far. We’ve only had a consultation and plan to start IVF in July. We cannot wait to start, as he has been so helpful, and encouraging to us both. He answered any questions we had and made us immediately feel like part of the family ... He was so kind and warm. Very patient in taking his time to explain any question we might have.
Haven’t been to the clinic [Nashville Fertility Center] yet. Our consult was a telehealth consult due to covid19 ... Very accommodating [nursing staff] and quick to call back any time I called. They took their time to answer any questions I had, whether medical or financial related. ... The clinic does seem to be great though. Have no complaints so far.

Dr. Montville is easily accessible and explained everything to me in detail. I received an update on a calendar so I knew when to start taking femara and when to us LH test strips as well as when to call...We were planning on trying IUI but I had to call it off after ovulation day had some meetings rescheduled at work so I couldn't get away. I took femara for a few days and tested LH daily with urine test strips. I didn't have any side effects from femara.
[Tennessee Fertility Institute] It's the only clinic I've been to but I've never felt like I was just a number. Any time I have been in the waiting room I was alone or one other couple was there. I generally receive quick responses from the online system which is the portal...IUI is 2,000 but I had to get an HSG prior and various tests. The total of those with office visits factored in was about $1000.

He [Dr. Montville] answered any and all of my questions in a reasonable amount of time. Even if he was running behind schedule, we never felt rushed during our appointment time...The first embryo transfer didn’t take. I was devastated. Dr. Montville called me himself and we discussed the next steps. He tried a different protocol the next time and it worked...Dr. Montville or one of the other physicians is on-call doctor 24-7 for questions or concerns...

I really appreciate that my labs are ALWAYS back same day so my doctor or nurse can call me with an updated care plan, if necessary...They are all so knowledgeable, personable, and most importantly, successful. They are good at their jobs and will be with you every step of the way...
How was your experience with Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
We have been going to Tennessee Fertility Institute and Dr. Montville for 11 months. Prior to this, we tried several YEARS to get pregnant. Dr. Montville or one of the other physicians is on-call doctor 24-7 for questions or concerns. He answered any and all of my questions in a reasonable amount of time. Even if he was running behind schedule, we never felt rushed during our appointment time. We did 1 round of IVF. 31 eggs were retrieved, 19 were mature, 14 fertilized, 6 made it to day 5 embryos, and we had them PGT tested. 3 were normal, 1 inconclusive, and 2 abnormal. I have PCOS and my husband has male factor infertility, so we were very pleased with these numbers. The first embryo transfer didn’t take. I was devastated. Dr. Montville called me himself and we discussed the next steps. He tried a different protocol the next time and it worked. I’m so thankful we found Dr. Montville! We will be back to use our next embryo in a year or two, and we will absolutely use Dr. Montville again!
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
If you have questions-ask. Nothing is too small or too insignificant. If you can’t remember your questions as soon as you walk into the office, write them down as you think of them in the days leading up to your appointment. I promise he will make the time.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
We first “met” Dr. Montville during a telehealth visit in Jan 2021, so COVID was still in full swing. To be honest, I cried most of the phone call. I had been so frustrated with a previous fertility clinic in Nashville that treated me like a number and unfortunately started treating me before even testing my husband. Dr. Montville was very compassionate and understanding, and our relationship only grew from there. My husband and I spent the next several months with him, learning that IVF was our best option. He explained everything, he was honest about our options, and gave us time to discuss them. He always shakes my husband’s hand and he learned our nicknames. My husband goes by his middle name. Dr. Montville took the time to learn that. It was the little things that made us have a hard experience so much easier.
Describe the protocols Christopher Montville used in your cycles at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic) and their degree of success.
For the egg retrieval, I know we used Ganirelix, Menopur, and Follistim. I don’t remember the dosages. I do remember when I was getting close to triggering, Dr. Montville came in on a Saturday and did an ultrasound to make sure we didn’t miss our window. For the first frozen embryo transfer, we used estradiol and progesterone. For the second, we did Lupron for a couple weeks prior to the embryo transfer. We still used estradiol and progesterone.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic). (Assigned nurse: Krystal)
With 1 round of IVF and assistance from Dr. Montville, Jennifer the senior embryologist, and the amazing nurses, we are 8 weeks pregnant and still have one embryo in the freezer. They assisted us every step of the way. I just can’t say enough good about this team! They are all so knowledgeable, personable, and most importantly, successful. They are good at their jobs and will be with you every step of the way. We started at another fertility clinic in Nashville, which yielded no results and felt like an extremely cold, uncaring environment. We are so blessed that we found TFI! We can’t wait to welcome our sweet baby!
Describe your experience with Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
The clinic is very organized and professional. The staff up front, Kristen, and the phlebotomist, Lori, are great! I really appreciate that my labs are ALWAYS back same day so my doctor or nurse can call me with an updated care plan, if necessary.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
My egg retrieval costed around $11,000. My meds for my egg retrieval were around $3500. My PGT testing was $5800. Anesthesia bill for the egg retrieval was $600. Labs are outsourced to PathGroup and were about $450 if I remember correctly. There are several “little” bills, but they were all described to me in detail by their office manager, Teresa. She ran out insurance and told us what we would be expected to pay and when. The clinic was very transparent about the fees.
Describe Christopher Montville's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
We did PGT testing on our embryos and I cannot recommend that enough. 2 of our embryos had either too many or not enough chromosomes so they wouldn’t have survived. They would have been a waste of money and taken an emotional toll to use those embryos as transfers when they couldn’t possibly survive. The clinic does not do multiple embryo transfers as far as I’m aware. When they do the assisted hatching or ICSI, it already has an increased risk of multiples. Multiple embryos could be dangerous for mom and babies!

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
Consultation with him [Dr. Montville] was great, I had to go by myself due to my husband’s deployment which made me nervous. He immediately recognized the different circumstance we were in, along with the stress of trying to conceive. He made sure to write everything down and explained everything well. He also made sure to ask what we wanted from all this, how we felt about everything and any hesitations or restrictions we had.
In comparison to other facilities in the area that I researched and spoke with, all of our costs at TFI were clearly explained to us and within the normal pricing of the area clinics. Some costs were even less than other clinics....The nursing staff were all welcoming and so sweet. They were very organized and on top of everything. I even left forms with them that needed to be filled out (I expected this would take a while) when I followed up with them a few days later I found out they had already completed and submitted everything.
How was your experience with Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
During consultation he exceeded my expectations. I tried not to have my hopes up because sometimes the first doctor isn’t always a good fit, but thankfully he was. He did a great job reading me and understanding my situation and the way I needed the information presented. I don’t like sugar coating but I do want someone with a calming and caring approach. He met all of that. Very straightforward and great at explaining but also genuinely cared.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
Go for the consultation and see if he is a good match. You won’t really know until you meet with him and his staff.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic)?
Consultation with him was great, I had to go by myself due to my husband’s deployment which made me nervous. He immediately recognized the different circumstance we were in, along with the stress of trying to conceive. He made sure to write everything down and explained everything well. He also made sure to ask what we wanted from all this, how we felt about everything and any hesitations or restrictions we had.
Describe the protocols Christopher Montville used in your cycles at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic) and their degree of success.
We have not started any treatments or cycles yet but are planned for IUI next month with medication and trigger shot.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
The nursing staff were all welcoming and so sweet. They were very organized and on top of everything. I even left forms with them that needed to be filled out (I expected this would take a while) when I followed up with them a few days later I found out they had already completed and submitted everything. I was very impressed and it was nice to know that I had people supporting me and on top of things, it alleviated a lot of my stress.
Describe your experience with Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
The clinic was very clean and calming, not a lot of noise or craziness which was nice. I have no completed anything other than my blood work and consultation, so I only have those areas to speak on. I can only assume the remaining office areas and procedural rooms are the same.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Christopher Montville at Tennessee Fertility Institute (Prelude Network clinic).
In comparison to other facilities in the area that I researched and spoke with, all of our costs at TFI were clearly explained to us and within the normal pricing of the area clinics. Some costs were even less than other clinics. And honestly, I have been to another clinic in the area for a semen analysis for my husband- I would even be willing to pay higher prices to come here and be treated like a person and cared for rather than that other local facility.

He sat down with us and explained every plan and every result. He made us feel like people and he understood the pain and struggles we were feeling while going through our journey. We really appreciate that he truly listened to us....For my egg retrieval, Dr. Montville put me on Manopur, gonal-f, cetrotide, novarel, and progesterone injections. They resulted in 4 eggs total retrieved and 3 total embryos. We transferred 1 embryo after a few days, which resulted in a positive pregnant test
Aside from the occasional longer wait time before an appointment, the clinic [TFI] runs like an well oiled machine. Everyone knows exactly what they’re supposed to do.... The nursing staff at this clinic was amazing! They were so good at what they do and they really showed compassion! We love them!... I always saw my doctor which is how a fertility clinic should be run! Weaknesses: since the patient population is growing, sometimes the wait time was a little long.

Just like I said in a previous section, Dr. Montville is such an amazing, warm, understanding, kind, and compassionate doctor! He was the very first of the 3 fertility specialist I’ve seen who truly made us feel like human!

I have seen a total of 3 fertility doctors and he was by far the best one who was truly emphatic with our situation. He sat down with us and explained every plan and every result. He made us feel like people and he understood the pain and struggles we were feeling while going through our journey. We really appreciate that he truly listened to us. He definitely has such a warm presence every time we went to visit him at the clinic. This is why I love going to Dr. Montville! Can’t wait to visit him again this year and hopefully get the result we’ve always dreamed of!

My insurance doesn’t cover fertility treatments so I had to pay $12,550 up front for my egg retrieval and transfer cycle not including medications. Medications cost was around $700.00.

We were glad and understood the reason why Dr. Montville suggested we do a single transfer. He based it on my overall health and wellness, which we really appreciated.
