Success w/ Doc Too early to know
Dr. Christie is a mild mannered man. He is specific in explaining all possibilities and options available. He is open to questions and concerns. Even when I went through another loss he was able to give me the options a available to me...I liked that he gave me options and even time availability for when he could conduct the procedure. He advised that I need not make a decision right now and to take my time with what I feel most comfortable with.
The [IVF Florida - Pembroke Pines] clinic itself was just a clinic. Nothing warm and fuzzy to speak of just an office and it runs like an office. I would say that this is not necessarily a bad thing. It’s efficient. Sometimes the nursing staff would schedule your appointments and at other times ask that you call the office to schedule it yourself.
How was your experience with Daniel Christie at IVF Florida?
Dr. Christie is a mild mannered man. He is specific in explaining all possibilities and options available. He is open to questions and concerns. Even when I went through another loss he was able to give me the options a available to me. Although, I must say, being that it was confirmed a loss, I was not in a headspace to make a decision and I advised him of that. I said the 2 options I was more comfortable with but unable to make a decision. He was accepting and did not rush me to make any one particular decision. I liked that he gave me options and even time availability for when he could conduct the procedure. He advised that I need not make a decision right now and to take my time with what I feel most comfortable with.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Daniel Christie at IVF Florida?
Since he is open to questions and concerns bring them all up so you could get as much information as possible to make the best choices for yourself and your individual situation.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Daniel Christie at IVF Florida?
The staff are friendly, recognize you, and help when they can
Describe the protocols Daniel Christie used in your cycles at IVF Florida and their degree of success.
In all of my cycles we used clomid and gonal f to prepare me and allow for release of eggs. Then we did the trigger injection (ovidrel) once my bloodwork and ultrasound showed a follicle at the appropriate size to begin ovulation and then come in to inseminate. A couple times I needed a couple rounds of clomid and gonal f in the same cycle. Only symptoms I really noticed was the hot flashes!!!!
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at IVF Florida.
While most of the time the communication with the nursing staff was via the portal it was an efficient way to get my questions and concerns addressed. Which I truly appreciated.

Dr.Christie is very easy to speak to and explains everyone g in a way you can understand. Great bedside manner and addresses your concerns. He explained what he recommends as the next step. He is very supportive and was honest on our last time intercourse cycle...When I had a chemical pregnancy he called me and explained everything...Letrozole was used as I have PCOS and wasn’t ovulating on my own, and my husbands SA was normal, this is why he suggested we try timed intercourse
The clinic [at IVF Florida] is clean and friendly. The only thing is they were not very clear ahead of time on pricing. The medical assistants that used to draw my blood were very nice and encouraging. I did feel like a number at times especially when waiting for ultrasounds...The nurses were nice and all communication was via the portal. I felt like that was impersonal especially when you have questions during such a stressful time.

Describe the protocols Daniel Christie used in your cycles at IVF Florida and their degree of success.
I was placed on letrozole for ovarian stimulation. HCG injection to trigger ovulation and then proceed with times intercourse. I did 4 of these cycles and on the 5th cycle follitism injection was added to “boost” ovulation. I did ovulate on every cycle but was unsuccessful getting pregnant. I had 1 chemical pregnancy. Letrozole was used as I have PCOS and wasn’t ovulating on my own, and my husbands SA was normal, this is why he suggested we try timed intercourse. I did have an HSG before starting that showed a blocked tube. I had to repeat the HSG and pay again because the doctor that initially did the test was my treating physician and couldn’t make the decision to try an unblock the tube without Dr.Christie’s approval.

Dr. Christie explained things in a matter we understood. He answered to all of our questions and was happy when we had more . He truly cares , and is very sweet and understanding...Don’t think twice , you won’t regret choosing him. I have a sleeping 3 month old next to me , when I thought it was never going to be possible.
It is really hard to get a hold of someone Over the phone, nearly Imposible [at IVF Florida]. It was very frustrating …you would leave a voicemail and never get a call back. You have better luck in the portal ! However , it is very easy to make appointments , you get a response super fast and get appointments close to date.
How was your experience with Daniel Christie at IVF Florida?
I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Dr. Christie. My husband and I left the 1st visit filled with hope , with a plan and with all of our questions answered. He is a warm , compassionate , knowledgeable person , he treats you exactly how you would like to be treated when you are at your lowest . Giving you hope and all the variety of option out there to make you dream come true. You asked the same question twice ? Didn’t understand something ? You would expect for a weird look, but not from him, he would smile and treat you with sweetness and respect and answer your questions 10 times if necessary.

He [Dr. Christie] is always happy to answer all questions, entertains ideas and if he doesn't agree with something he puts it in a way that is not dismissive...I started 2.5mg Femara which we did for a few months, unfortunately it did no produce any mature follicles and we increased it to 5mg and then 7.5mg which finally produced mature follicles and we had a positive pregnancy test, however, had a miscarriage at 6 weeks. On some cycles, we had to piggyback which means you take another dose of Femara in the same cycle.
It's clean and making an appointment is easy. They [IVF Florida] are open 7 days a week which is really nice when you start a cycle on a Saturday or Sunday. Their equipment is up to date and modern. They showcase pictures of success stories that give you hope...I believe 1 cyle is about $13k and they offer different packages which will allow you get a discount for booking multiple cycles and have a refund package in case you don't bring home a baby.

I switched to Dr. Christie as I was seeing another Dr. in that practice that I wasn't so happy with. He was so kind, he is a soft-spoken man and it very easy to talk to. Any questions you have he is more than happy to answer and will take his time if you don't understand something. His staff is very nice and always greet you with a smile. I would recommend the clinic, however, it is a bit expensive.

Dr Christie explained that because of the blocked Fallopian tube, IVF may be a better route. Because of cost, we wanted to try an IUI procedure first before investing so much into IVF...treated us respectfully and explained the plan of care in detail. When it came to the actual physical exam, he walked me through every step of the way which I found to be a huge stress reliever...extremely knowledgeable and has a gentle overall demeanor.
By the time I was called with instructions, it was late afternoon and the nurse [at IVF Florida] mentioned that I was very close to ovulating. When I asked if I should inject the medicine she stated “well, it’s really up to you if you want to go through with it at this point.” I was very disheartened that I received a follow up call so late in the day and that I couldn’t get a clear answer as to whether I should proceed.
How was your experience with Daniel Christie at IVF Florida?
From the moment we met Dr Christie, he sat down with my husband and I for over an hour to discuss my case, treatment options and his own background. He treated us respectfully and explained the plan of care in detail. When it came to the actual physical exam, he walked me through every step of the way which I found to be a huge stress reliever. He’s extremely knowledgeable and has a gentle overall demeanor.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Daniel Christie at IVF Florida?
De Christie practices (mostly) out of the Pembroke Pines location. This fertility group is very large and has multiple locations. The main reason we decided to stop seeing him was because of the distance. If you live in that same area, I would definitely stick with him. Because fertility treatments often require you to go into the office at any given time, we found this to be difficult and unfortunately the office closest to our home (Coral Gables) did not provide some of the services that we needed.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Daniel Christie at IVF Florida?
Dr Christie himself handled my situation with respect, time and care. The office staff was not as open and kind but they were efficient.
Describe the protocols Daniel Christie used in your cycles at IVF Florida and their degree of success.
I had never previously had any fertility diagnostics before going in to see Dr Christie, so at first, he ordered a bunch of lab work for both my husband and I. Once that came in we scheduled an HSG to look at my Fallopian tubes and uterine anatomy. When this needed to be done, my husband and I ended up having to drive an hour and a half to their pompano office because this was the only facility that could perform this on a weekend day. After the visit , i was scheduled for another follow up HSG with a cannulation because my left Fallopian tube was found to be blocked. The second HSG was unsuccessful at unblocking the tube. Dr Christie was not the physician who performed either of the two HSGs. A few days later, we met with Dr Christie to discuss future steps. Dr Christie explained that because of the blocked Fallopian tube, IVF may be a better route. Because of cost, we wanted to try an IUI procedure first before investing so much into IVF. To prepare for insemination, I took Clomid on specific days of my cycle in order to stimulate my ovaries. I then went in to the office for an ultrasound to check my follicle count. Once that was done, I was instructed to take an injection (can’t recall the name) in order to stimulate ovulation. 24 hrs later, we found ourselves having to drive up to Pompano for a third time in order to have the insemination done. The total time at the office was approximately three hours (it was a weekend and a bunch of other couples there). They called my husband in to obtain his semen sample. They then took it to do a “wash” in which they filter out some of the bad sperm. The nurse eventually called me into the examination room and she was the one who completed the IUI. They had me lay back on the exam table and she then inserted a speculum (much like how they do when you get a pap) and then she inserted a long catheter into my uterus. Once that was secured, she then pushed through my husbands semen (verified of course) through the canula. It was simple and painless. She then had me rest in the supone position for about 15 minutes before standing up and heading home. A few days after the procedure was done, I had to go to the office for another ultrasound and bloodwork to verify that I did indeed ovulate. They instructed me not to take any home pregnancy tests until the supposed first date of my period. Unfortunately, the procedure was not a success and my period arrived as scheduled. Dr Christie did educate us that IUI success rates are very low.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at IVF Florida.
The nursing staff did well with what they were working with. I’m aware that this is a busy fertility group and the need maybe very demanding. Overall, I was always treated kindly and with respect. I felt like there could have been better communication and follow up in regards to when to administer the one injection to make me ovulate prior to the IUI procedure. By the time I was called with instructions, it was late afternoon and the nurse mentioned that I was very close to ovulating. When I asked if I should inject the medicine she stated “well, it’s really up to you if you want to go through with it at this point.” I was very disheartened that I received a follow up call so late in the day and that I couldn’t get a clear answer as to whether I should proceed. At that point, I decided to go forward with the injection and the procedure because I had already taken Clomid.
Describe your experience with IVF Florida.
Strengths: professional and courteous staff, clean office, knowledgeable and kind physician Weaknesses: multiple locations that not all perform the same services as others. Lack of clear communication/coordination post ultrasound in order to coordinate IUI and injection better.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Daniel Christie at IVF Florida.
My insurance provider does not cover fertility services But I was happy to find that it did cover most of the “basic” bloodwork, ultrasounds, consultation visits and one of the two HSG procedures. The Clomid and injection were not covered but I was referred to a corpus pharmacy for that- the total for medication was approximately $150. The second HSG with cannulation was approximately $1400. The IUI was approximately $1200.

- requested on multiple attempts to retrieve medical records via CD for imaging purposes from medical records department with no success. In round 1, we went the "normal" way of fertilizing the eggs. On round 2 they were hand fertilized and we got 8 more embryos over the previous cycle (18 total). 8 in total made it to day 5 and after pgs one of those is now our popsicle. We couldn't be happier. We are now going to do an ERA to improve our chances of a successful transfer.

I purchased a 2 ivf cycle plan via Attain. I believe the cost was around $25k plus PGS testing $3k, medication $2k per round, and PGS testing was $3,600 per 8 embryos. ERA should be around $1k. In addition I have about $500 for anesthesiologist and another $2500 for the removal of a fibroid. I think that covers it.
Describe Daniel Christie's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at IVF Florida.
They do not allow multiple transfers and I'm not sure about eSet (not interested)

Dr. Christie is conservative and always mentioned that we would be transferring one embryo (due to my age and what we felt comfortable with). At the time of transfer our embryo qualities weren't the best and he suggested to place in 2. We did a 3day embryo transfer, which resulted in 1singleton live birth...I.needed some advice about an FET and reached out 2 years after I had completed my treatment with him and he took the time to call me and give me some insight on the new cycle.
IVF Florida is a large clinic, so it's hard to get the feeling that people actually know who you are there. The billing department did at times send incorrect statements and appeared a bit disorganized. You have to be diligent with the bills to be sure it is all correct. What I liked about the clinic is that there were an abundance of appointments at all times of the day. They were open 7days a week and always responded quickly.
How was your experience with Daniel Christie at IVF Florida?
Dr. Christie is an AMAZING doctor. He truly spends time with the patient and evaluates your needs individually. He has excellent bedside manner and you will not be going home feeling doubtful. I did a retrieval and fresh transfer cycle with him which resulted in my daughter. Shortly after giving birth I moved to a different state. I sent a message to Dr. Christie two years later asking about an FET and some recommendations. He actually called me and spent time over the phone reviewing my options with me. He gave me advice as if I were a family member! I will never forget this. His insight put me at ease and I am forever grateful to him for making this whole experience way more manageable.

Dr. Christie was very nice during our first meeting, but then I barely saw him. The nurses were asked to handle everything else. Even after repeated treatments didn't work I didn't hear anything from him. I had to call and insist on a meeting to come up with a new game plan. Only at that time, after my pressing and after many months of treatment, did he suggest making an adjustment to the protocol...it was also really frustrating because the Dr. was not very reachable.
[IVF Florida] Too big and corporate-like. They treat everyone in the same way - not individualized care....I felt like everyone was having the exact same treatment plan regardless of their prognosis....The answering service was horrible! Sometimes I needed to get a hold of the clinic on the weekends, and it was very difficult to reach a nurse or Dr. Most of the time no one called back. One time I had an emergency and was told to wait at home and drink water, and then call on Monday. Not acceptable!

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Daniel Christie at IVF Florida?
Don't go to IVF Florida. Period.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Daniel Christie at IVF Florida?
At IVF Florida I felt like everyone was having the exact same treatment plan regardless of their prognosis. I had several other friends going there as well and we compared notes and realized nothing was individualized. Worst of all, the practice kept insisting that I come back many days in a row to do the same procedures over and over again with no discernable improvements. Of course, they charged a lot of money for every visit.
Describe the protocols Daniel Christie used in your cycles at IVF Florida and their degree of success.
At first we tried Clomed - absolutely no result. Then Femara - no luck there either. Then, only after my insisting, some injectable drugs to stimulate ovulation with Femara. However, the dosage was off and he didn't adjust it properly. After more combinations of oral and injectable drugs I finally ovulated (after about 5 months).
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at IVF Florida.
Some of the nurses were very nice and compassionate, but others treated us like just another object on a conveyor belt in a factory. They were very hesitant to give us any real information and told us the Dr. was the only one who could advise on certain matters. I get that this is for liability reasons, but it was also really frustrating because the Dr. was not very reachable. I also thought some of the nurses were trying to push us into having more expensive procedures (IVF) when it wasn't necessary.

Too big and corporate-like. They treat everyone in the same way - not individualized care.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Daniel Christie at IVF Florida.
The per visit costs were lower than other practices, but they made me come back for many unnecessary visits so the overall costs turned out to be a lot higher than other providers. The biggest cost, however, was the time I lost during many months of useless treatments.

Dr. Christie is a very generous and kind hearted being. He took his time to explain to you everything that was going on and always looked for a solution when a treatment wasn't working. He is a very knowledgeable and positive doctor...Dr. Christie always reffered to me by my name which made me feel good that he remembered me...
I think overall the [IVF Florida - Miami] clinic has done a good job. When I first started treatment they had yet to have the patient portal so it was a bit difficult to get in contact with a nurse. But after the patient portal the nursing team was very decent in responding. The portal is very useful and has all your results needed...Since I do have insurance I had to pay my $2,500 deductible. With my first 2 IUI cycles I took Letrzole which were not successful. With my 3rd IUI cycle I took Clomid and it wasn't successful. Finally, with my 4th IUI cycle we took injectables only (Follistim) and it resulted in a successful IUI and pregnancy with Triplets.

At the beginning of treatment we had a disconnection in communication after it was addressed everything went great. Mostly all are very friendly and helpful as well as knowledgeable. Darlyng is truly amazing! Always remembered me by my first name and was very knowledgeable and attentive.

During 1 cycle, a failry large cyst that was known I had was mistaken for a mature follicle. We almost proceeded with an IUI till I brought it up to their attention so my cycle was cancelled. Dr. Christie was great in going over the information and proceeded to make sure this will never happen again and it never did!

He [Dr. Daniel Christie] was knowledgeable and explained everything thoroughly. If you had questions, he would call back within 24 hours. He didn't pretend to have all the answers which sometimes you don't after a failed cycle with good response, but I never felt like he gave up on me. He wanted me to get pregnant as much as I did.
I had no insurance coverage. Including medication, i spent almost 50,000...I'm someone who feels better knowing what to expect. All of the staff [at IVF Florida in Pembroke Pines] did a good job in keeping you informed of next steps. They were easily accessible. I never had issues with scheduling appointments or any of the financial aspects. Wait times were usually pretty good, except for weekends she only the margate office is open. As long as you know that you'll be waiting, it's fine. Just bring a good book,

Dr. Christie was very thorough with our diagnosis and our plan of treatments. He always made sure that we were comfortable with each decision that was made. Always welcomed questions and answered them to best of his knowledge..After 5 attempts of IUI we moved on to IVF. Prior to treatment uterine polyps were found. Dr. Christie performed the surgery successfully. We moved forward with IVF using menopur and gonalF. We did this two times. Both resulting in negative with no embryos to freeze...Do not be afraid to ask questions. No matter how "silly" the question may be he will answer it without making you feel incompitent
My only complaint [at IVF Florida] is their turn around time in following up on results and returning phonecalls...After calling the andrology lab and leaving numerous messages I never got a call back. Almost a week and half later I attempted again and had get a bit firm, I finally got a hold of an actual person, just to tell me they did not make it to freeze...The nursing staff were incredible and kind...When we did our IUIs the cost of the procedure, medication, and ultrasound ran about 2000.00 for each cycle. Our IVF cycles were paid by a package with Attain, that costs 22000.00

At IVF Florida they are truly compassionate and understanding. They take the time to ask how you are doing. Once you have been going there for quite some time you youre on a first name basis and greeted with hugs and smiles.

We first tried IUI with Clomid. My response was OK but not as expected therefore he added booster shot, GonalF. The response was better however it resulted in a negative. We then proceeded to use only injectables for the IUI, i responded really well however it still resulted in a negative. After 5 attempts of IUI we moved on to IVF. Dr. Christie is responsive and returns call when messages are left... reality kicked in as I realized I no longer had my fallopian tube...As Dr. Christie spoke to me and reassured me everything will be okay, he stayed on the phone until I stopped crying. Until this day, I still tear up from this profound moment, it was my reality, I was no longer a woman. Dr. Christie, reminded me of our discussion and that "we are in this together." Not only did he treat me like a human, he treated me like family.
The office [IVF Florida] is well organized...The staff is knowledgeable and attempts to be assistive to answer question and concerns pertaining to follow up labs, appointments, and general questions in nature. The office is clean and professional...I can not recall all their names, but Brittany and a number of staff were very professional and attentive to my request and needs...I had an initial consultation, surgical inventions and a quote for IVF services, totaling somewhere between 23-24k. I believe there was an additional cost to perform ICIS.
How was your experience with Daniel Christie at IVF Florida?
As I explained previously, I was faced with a number of complications including a presences of Hep C in my blood due to an occupational exposure. This was a tremendous set back and really made me feel hopeless. Dr. Christie reassured me I would get through this, as I dealt with all the somber news that made me feel like having a child was an empty thought, Dr. Christie and his team provided me the support I need to move through the challenges and focus on the goal of conceiving a child.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Daniel Christie at IVF Florida?
I would recommend walking into this practice with an open mind. Dr. Christie and his team are a talented individuals. I trust their judgement and expertise. I honestly would not go any where else. Considering the challenges I had, I would also say, challenges are what reminds us why the fight was worth it. Look at everything in a positive light. There are many women struggling to achieve the blessing of a little one, trust their team, take the advice, be honest, and ask questions.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Daniel Christie at IVF Florida?
While under the care of Dr. Christie, he truly treated me like a person, he went beyond the "white coat" and provided me comfort and knowledge during a very difficult time. The expectation of our consultation was hard to ingest as he explained the number of complications impacting my potential to conceive, including the need to remove my fallopian tubes in order to conceive. His post- operative follow up was impeccable. As I slowly woke up, tears in my eyes, reality kicked in as I realized I no longer had my fallopian tube. My first words, "I need to talk to my doctor". As Dr.
Describe the protocols Daniel Christie used in your cycles at IVF Florida and their degree of success.
Considering the number of setbacks I experience due to my health status and having to undergo surgery, I was highly discourage and unmotivated to conceive after almost a year of interferon therapy. I have not undergone any medication, or protocols to date due to these conditions. The plan was to return after treatment and management of my conditions and pursue IVF protocols as appropriate.

[Daniel Christie is an] excellent RE...He was accessible via email for detailed questions that arose outside appointments and he followed up with me via phone whenever something happened with my IVF cycles (I had several unfortunate pregnancy outcomes)...His general modus operandi is "less is more" I think in terms of telling you what he's thinking about your case, but he's very willing to make you privy to his views on your case if you want in depth analysis of things.
In comparison to the staff I knew at the small [IVF Florida Miami] office, I didn't love the communication with the 2 other offices, but I assume if I'd gone to one of those two as my primary location, the situation might have been different...I consider it pretty normal that there were some forgotten phone calls and paperwork that didn't make it to my local clinic. Minor annoyances but nothing huge.
How was your experience with Daniel Christie at IVF Florida?
Excellent RE. He was new to his practice (IVF FL) when I was a patient from 2010-2012 and super attentive despite the fact that it is a huge practice with several offices. He was accessible via email for detailed questions that arose outside appointments and he followed up with me via phone whenever something happened with my IVF cycles (I had several unfortunate pregnancy outcomes). He has a great sense of humor and in general kept my and my husband's spirits up through a long slog through infertility treatments over several years. Despite the fact that another RE got me pregnant with donor eggs later, we completely credit Dr. Christie with encouraging us through the long ordeal and ultimately keeping us believing in the process of trying to have a healthy live birth.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Daniel Christie at IVF Florida?
Ask lots of questions. His general modus operandi is "less is more" I think in terms of telling you what he's thinking about your case, but he's very willing to make you privy to his views on your case if you want in depth analysis of things. He's a fantastic doctor!

He was an excellent communicator and always went the extra mile to be in touch and be patient.

IUI with gonal F (failed attempt Dec. 2010), IVF antagonist protocol (successful attempt but chemical pregnancy, March 2011), FET of single blast (successful attempt but ectopic pregnancy, May 2011), IVF estrogen priming antagonist protocol (successful attempt but Trisomy 18 pregnancy, Dec. 2011)
Describe your experience with your nurse at IVF Florida. (Assigned nurse: Meicy Alvarez)
I loved working with Meicy, Emily, and the other ladies in the Miami office (no longer open - Meicy is now at Pembroke Pines). In comparison to the staff I knew at the small office, I didn't love the communication with the 2 other offices, but I assume if I'd gone to one of those two as my primary location, the situation might have been different.

I only had minor things go wrong and given that I did 4 different infertility treatment cycles there and did one of those 4 from out of state, I consider it pretty normal that there were some forgotten phone calls and paperwork that didn't make it to my local clinic. Minor annoyances but nothing huge.

I really like the clinic [IVF Florida ]. They do take the time to explain the ivf process. My only concern may be understaffing. You typically have to leave an email or voicemail message whenever you have a question. However, they are typically responsive within the same day....The nursing staff took time to explain the ivf process as well. Dr. Christie was kind and compassionate and really took the time to listen to my opinions and questions and was there every step of the way....Dr. C was kind, compassionate and I had a great experience with him. mI did two rounds initially and was successful on the second round. I went back to have another baby and he was very honest about my small chances for success but still was willing to work with me.... he used max doses but always expected me to respond by day 9.
THis is a huge clinic so a bit like a factory. My RE [Dr. Christie] never did any of my retrievals nor transfers. They also do push day 3 transfers and dont push PGS testing which I found a bit outdated. Price wise they are very reasonable in comparison to other clinics. Their surgery center is very far, in Margate, and that is where they see patients on weekends which is very inconvenient...The nursing staff overall was very good....I was fortunate enough to have insurance so costs were minimal.

I am a slow responder so he used max doses but always expected me to respond by day 9. I primed with estrogen patches-not birth control pills as the one cycle that I primed with BC pills seemed to over supress me.

He[Dr. Daniel Christie] is excellent and made what is an uncomfortable situation bearable...He always explained everything in a way that both my husband and I could completely understand...I had a HSG - twice. It was determined that I had a blocked tube. Had the tube opened via a second HSG. I took Clomid, Gonal F and Ovidrel injections...
All staff and nurses [of IVF Florida] were very kind and professional...We were always comfortable with any procedures...My insurance doesn’t cover infertility- since I had to have a HSG twice it has been quite expensive. We have spent over $5,000...He always explained everything in a way that both my husband and I could completely understand...

Dr. Christie always takes his time explaining treatments or any procedures that need to be done. I have never left the office feeling uncomfortable or uncertain about what was going to happen next. He always made sure I fully understood what was happening. He allowed me to ask as many questions as I needed to and even gave me his phone number if I had additional questions later on... I felt very comfortable while being under his care. He made me feel like I was his only patient. I would definitely recommend him to anyone struggling with infertility
The front office staff [at IVF Florida] is very friendly and very thorough when explaining what needs to be done when you first become a patient at the clinic. They make you feel very welcome and make sure that you are comfortable while waiting in the waiting area...The nurses were great they were always available to answer questions. When it’s time to administer medication they make sure that you are well aware of how to administer everything

Dr. Christie goes to great lengths to ensure you are well informed about the process and the rationale for the treatment recommended. He is patient and kind and is willing to answer any questions you have... I just wish I would have the opportunity to see him more. I saw him only twice and I have just completed my second round if IUI...explains everything very clearly and never gets frustrated or makes you feel like you cant say you don't understand or have additional questions.
Nursing staff are sweet and they are compassionate however it is rare to see the same person more than once [at IVF Florida...approx $2000 dollars for each round of IUI . this included medication costs...Office staff such as the secretary at the desk is not the most warm. They are polite but not warm. You are referred to the portal for information and next steps and although this is efficient it is impersonal when dealing with such a personal matter. I believe they should call and talk to the patient and send the same information though the portal for review and reference.

He [Dr. Christie] takes his time answering questions and explaining procedure. He has a calm demeanor which is beneficial during such a high stressed experience....[The nurses] each provided different information. Wish everyone was on the same page.
They [staff at IVF Florida] did not order t[w]o tests (pap smear and rh factor) before starting treatment which could have resulted in canceling a cycle. Once they did not provide me with test results which would have determined if I needed any medication

He takes his time answering questions and explaining procedure. He has a calm demeanor which is beneficial during such a high stressed experience.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Daniel Christie at IVF Florida?
Ask for copies of all medical tests. It's so easy to forget your results.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Daniel Christie at IVF Florida?
There is always a different nurse or tech performing a procedure. It is difficult to develop a connection with anyone since they have a high volume of patients and most don't remember you. That said, there is one nurse who appears to remember me and has been very kind. When I meet with the Doctor he takes his time explaining options and treatment.
Describe the protocols Daniel Christie used in your cycles at IVF Florida and their degree of success.
IUI 1 and 2 -Clomid 100mg 5 days, Gonal-F 150 1 day, trigger shot and then two back to back IUIs-BFN

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
He [Dr. Daniel Christie] is very knowledgeable and kind. He explained everything and answered all my questions that i had. He took on my case because my original dr left the practice and he seemed to really understand my previous care and picked up right where she left off. He had a good course of action and went through everything in detail.... He wanted me to get through my ectopic and then after 3 month break start another cycle. Up my progesterone and consider doing an era.
Some of the nursing staff [at IVF are amazing and some are very disorganized and give wrong information..... The clinic [IVF Florida- Miami] is very welcoming but it is a huge practice and sometimes u feel like you loose that individualized care. I have a son and i owe it all to the dr and practice because without their care he would not be there but the communication could be better and individual care.
