I am happy that while he [Dr. David Corley] prefers eSET and will communicate such, he lets the patient make the final decision on the number of embryos to transfer once it is safe...made every effort to personalize my treatment, and unlike doctors at some other clinics with cookie cutter approaches, he was also open to my input on things we could try. It's clear that he cares more about the individual patient/couple's specific case than the clinic's SART success rates - something that I believe has given other doctors tunnel vision.
I did monitoring at another clinic since I was an out of state patient [with CNY Fertility Center]...About $4500 all said and done for one IVF cycle, medications cost another $1200 or so...Beautiful, clean facility, and they seem pretty well organized. We did not have a long wait time when we went there to do our egg retrieval. The staff was great and made us feel comfortable at what is usually a pretty nervous time.
How was your experience with David Corley at CNY Fertility Center?
Dr Corley's greatest strength as a doctor is his knowledge of new advances in reproductive endocrinology, and flexibility and willingness to be open to different protocols or courses of treatment. Infertility is not a one size fits all affliction. Not everyone will have better results with eSET or growing out our embryos to day 5. My issue is poor egg quality, and he came up with a treatment plan that included Metformin, low dose Naltrexone and some other cell building supplements. Because I'm an out of state patient I have not had a lot of face time with him, but I don't think that's much affected the quality of care I've received. The medical team is very responsive to any requests or questions made through the portal.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of David Corley at CNY Fertility Center?
Have all your ducks in a row before your first consultation, be ready to answer any questions on past test results or treatments when you do consult with him, either by phone or face to face. Be your own advocate if there's something new you want to try - he will listen to it and take it into account once it's reasonable.

Dr Corley made every effort to personalize my treatment, and unlike doctors at some other clinics with cookie cutter approaches, he was also open to my input on things we could try. Antagonist protocol: o Gonal F 225 IU, Inject 225 IU o Menopur 75 IU, Inject 75 IU o Omnitrope 5.8 mg, Inject 0.33 mg (6 units) o Z Pak o Prednisone 5 mg, x 2 o LDN (Low Dose Naltrexone) 4.5 mg o Prenatal Vitamin o Metformin HCL 500 mg, x 2 Cetrotide for 4 days Dual Trigger with HCG and Lupron Results: 16 eggs retrieved, 3 fertilized normally with ICSI, 3 3-day embryos frozen. With CNY whoever you consult with does not mean they will be the Dr performing the retrieval, transfer or IUI. Ihad my initial consult with Dr.Corley and also my follow up with him but another Doctor performed my egg retrieval. I did not have the outcome I had hoped for with my egg retrieval and when I consulted with Dr.Corley he was great with creating a new plan. One thing that does bother me is I felt my file and medical history was never reviewed before I was given a prescription/protocol.
CNY is very popular for their low prices, but be advised that you do not have a specific nurse or even Dr that you work with every time. Each time you visit, call, message the portal it is a different nurse/person. This made me feel at times like a number as I had to repeat myself multiple times and often my protocol was lost in communication.... The nursing staff was extremely nice and compassionate. The nurses run the show. All your monitoring appointments for retrieval and transfer will be with the nurses. They determine when you will trigger and when your retrieval will be.

CNY is very popular for their low prices, but be advised that you do not have a specific nurse or even Dr that you work with every time. Each time you visit, call, message the portal it is a different nurse/person. Customer service was always wonderful and they were always nice, but I think they are just overwhelmed with patients.
Describe the protocols David Corley used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
First ER cycle he recommended LDN, 225 Gonal F and 75 Menopur. No birth control before cycles as CNY does not usually prescribe that. My next cycle I am priming with HGH, Menopur and a 7 day estrace post ovulation. Once I have day 1 I will start 300 Gonal F and 150 Menopur.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
The nursing staff was extremely nice and compassionate. The nurses run the show. All your monitoring appointments for retrieval and transfer will be with the nurses. They determine when you will trigger and when your retrieval will be. Make sure you are your own advocate for your protocol and triple check the instructions. I was given incorrect med doses 3 times and received different answers each time I asked about it. I think they are overwhelmed with patients and it's hard for them to keep up with everyone.

Strengths are costs! This is the number 1 reason we are going to CNY. We are from TX but traveled to NY because our insurance does not cover IVF and CNY is affordable. Weaknesses are communication. Many times I received an incorrect protocol or was misinformed about certain medications. You speak to a different person every time so it is difficult to feel like you have a relationship with the clinic. If you have a complex case I would not recommend going here.

Each monitoring appointment you will be seen by the nurse. You have a different nurse every time. Most of my appointments were on time and the most I waited was 1 hour.

$3900 for retrieval and fresh transfer plus monitoring appointments/labs. This does not include medications. The cost for a frozen embryo transfer is $250 plus monitoring appointments/labs.

Dr. Corley treated me with care and compassion. He has a great bedside manner and he is very knowledgeable. He took into account every concern I had and explained the pros and cons of the treatment while also reassuring me of the possibilities to come.

As of right now, I plan on doing an egg retrieval in January 2024, so Dr. Corley recommended I start taking several vitamins, metformin, and low-dose naltrexone. Then I should call them on my 1st period in December to start estrace. The nursing team support has been very efficient and they have given me an outline of days of what medications I should be taking.

Great staff. Very organized and patient. Answer back to you within 12 to 24 hours. Online messaging is the quickest way to contact them however, there are long wait times when you call into the nurse line to speak to a nurse. When a nurse answers, they always take the time to ensure I understand what I need to do before we get off the phone.

I feel like I did educate myself enough because I had two failed transfer and should of did another retrieval for better embryos to have a better chance at success. After a positive beta I didn’t get a call to learn my results. I called next day and they had to call the lab and called me right back after getting my results.

He is a sweetheart and makes you feel very confortable before any procedure.
Describe the protocols David Corley used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
For our ER we used and antagonist protocol with menopur and gonal F. After 5 days I started cetrotide. I trigger with double Lupron. ER gave us 10 good quality eggs out of which 9 fertilized with ICSI. Had 4 5day blasts and 1 6 day blast. Did a fresh with 2 day 5s and resulted in ectopic but because I caught a UTI that messed it all up. For transfer I did an immune protocol with intralipids, lovenox, prednisone, LDN, neupogen, estrogen and progesterone both in oil and vaginal tablets.

Best clinic I’ve been to! They make you feel welcome and at peace from the first second you come in. It feels more like a spa than a clinic. Everyone is very attentive and they go their way out to make you feel comfortable at all times. Prices are unbeatable which is a plus!

He was not my first doctor and I had two failed FETs prior with 2 embryos so he decided to transfer 2, the first two times and after a second ER with him he went for 3, 3day fresh which resulted in pregnancy of a singleton but I had a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks.

He [Dr. Corley] always made me feel heard and understood. He is good at looking into all areas (labs, results of egg retrievals and protocols used) to find what may or may not work in the future. He took his time to explain things to me and listen to my experiences and thoughts. ... When I had a follow up with him he looked at all of my previous information in depth and took 60 minutes to talk to me and come up with our an to move forward.
It is easy to get in touch with who you need to via their [CNY] patient portal and get answers fast. If you enjoy in person contact, being a travel patient might not be for you. Some patients have flown/driven to New York to stay for the whole cycle to be monitored there, but I chose to fly in only for procedures and did remote monitoring in my home state. I have liked all the doctors, but they all have very different personalities. Once I found the one I clicked with it made it easier.

He is a very sweet man and prayed for me after each FET. When I had a follow up with him he looked at all of my previous information in depth and took 60 minutes to talk to me and come up with our an to move forward.

While Dr Corley has performed my egg retrieval and 2 transfers I have just recently had a follow up with him regarding a 4th FET. The clinic has many doctors and I had yet to find the Dr that fit with me until I had Dr Corley for my 2nd FET. He listened to me and looked into my chart to help me come up with a plan for my next FET and potentially next egg retrieval. He actually did not change my protocol from my last FET other than to add an HCG wash before and HCG boosters after. I will be using Estrogen to prime for FET along with the immune protocol that includes Lovenox, baby aspirin, Tacrolimus, prednisone, zpak, doxycycline and PIO along with progesterone suppositories. I am getting the immune protocol due to having endometriosis. The previous cycle I had good results as far as lining and levels and he doesn't believe a big change would change the outcomes.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
The clinic has a team of nurses devoted to patients who travel to NY for their treatment (which I do). It is easy to email them and get a response in an hour or two. You have to give them very specific questions otherwise you will not get specific answers. When I have talked to them on the phone regarding results or setting up retrieval or transfer times they have always been very nice and caring.

This clinic has a lot of travel patients due to their low cost procedures. This being said I felt less like a number than I did at my local clinic. It is easy to get in touch with who you need to via their patient portal and get answers fast. If you enjoy in person contact, being a travel patient might not be for you. Some patients have flown/driven to New York to stay for the whole cycle to be monitored there, but I chose to fly in only for procedures and did remote monitoring in my home state. I have liked all the doctors, but they all have very different personalities. Once I found the one I clicked with it made it easier.
Describe the costs associated with your care under David Corley at CNY Fertility Center.
CNY Fertility's cost at the time of me starting there were $3900 for an egg retrieval and fresh transfer and $450 for an FET. I did monitoring in my home state and paid $150 to CNY for remote monitoring for each cycle(also the cost to monitor wherever I was at). I have insurance that covered a portion , so the cost structure is different (they senda higher amount to insurance, which is typical). The cost also did not include medications.

It's a huge strength and keeps me so interested & excited to start my cycle with them!! No weaknesses as of right now! So far so good! Things are moving pretty quickly. ... I have not completed my IVF cycle just yet. I hope to complete this by July/August and it should run about $10k total including medication and about $2k for travel expenses.

Speaking to Dr. Corley at CNY Fertility made me feel like a regular human being due to the fact that as soon as he got on our consultation phone call, he simply asked me to tell him about myself. It was the first time a doctor seemed genuinely interested in my story and what brought me to CNY. We went over a few of my lab results and discussed how the process works and what my next steps would look like. I'm so excited to meet Dr. Corley in person and to finally have a baby of our own!! Continue to take the vitamins that I'm currently taking along with my husband. He then stated he will have the nurse e-mail me a list of the standard IVF medications for a regular cycle.

I have spoke to Elizabeth, RN with the Global Team at CNY. We spoke for about 30 minutes and she was able to answer all of my questions and concerns regarding being a travel patient from California to NY. She put me at ease with taking the time and not showing any frustration with holding my hand through the process as they would say.

Ketogenic diet to reduce the inflammation and PCOS symptoms. Along with metformin and provera to shed uterine liking due to endometrial hyperplasia.

Nursing staff was just as kind hearted as the providers. Many even had their own infertility journeys and were willing to share a bit. It was amazing to feel connected to another who has made it through this journey.

I can not say enough good things about this clinic. The only weakness that the clinic has as a whole is following through with patient communication. Example: it would have been nice to have someone call and say “hey your initial US was last week and your doc didn’t send the report yet.” Instead, I called two weeks after my US to confirm the next step and found out that they did not yet have my US. Moving forward I knew that I needed to check/communicate through the patient portal often- even once a day- in order to self advocate.

At the time, my insurance plan covered infertility treatment, but CNY has the MOST realistic pricing for growing a family. Now as a self pay patient, I am so thankful for their cost.

We met with him for our initial consultation where he spent a good 30-60 minutes with us going over our history and potential treatment options. And then, when we weren't sure of what to do, he talked to us on the phone - on a Saturday - for another 30+ minutes until we were all in agreement on a plan. We did not speak to or see him again until our retrieval and transfer. After our transfer he made sure to hold our hands and wish us the best of luck. We can not thank him enough for his compassionate care and successful results!

Do not expect to always speak to him when you have questions or concerns, as the huge staff almost always handles the patients.

While the clinic was/is a huge operation with many staff and support members. Dr. Corley always was warm, kind, and (regardless of if he actually did or not) seemed to remember us and know our needs.

Gonal, Monopur, Z Pak during stimulation. Lupron & HCG to trigger. Prednisone, Prograf, Baby Asprin, Lovenox, Cleocin, Estrace, and Progesterone in Oil after retrieval. Low-Dose Naltrexone from start through pregnancy.

The staff is vast and I feel that I rarely spoke to the same person twice. They were all knowledgeable and helpful although it would have been nice to be able to speak to specific people when we wanted to.

We were strongly advised to start with a single transfer and despite our initial objection we agreed to do it once. We had success so we can't rightly question the advice we were given.

Nothing major went wrong. One of our trigger prescriptions was not filled out originally but we never found out if this was the result of clinic error or pharmacy error. The problem was promptly corrected with no adverse results. They also were a bit late calling with bloodwork results. But this could have been lab error.

We had 26 eggs retrieved, 12 fertilized, and 6 frozen...He spent a lot of time answering all my questions during out IVF consultation- and and I A LOT of them! My favorite part about going to CNY is the nursing staff. They are all compassionate and caring. I do all my monitoring at the Rochester location and they are almost always on time and get me in and out so I can go to work which is another huge plus!...I was advised to only transfer one embryo due to my age (30). I was advised this not only by Dr. Corley but also by the embryology team so I went with this advice.

I experienced both my IVF consult and my first FET with Dr. Corley. I was happy he was doing the transfer because he had answered so many of my questions during our consult and I felt he cared about my understanding of the process. He explained what was happening as it occurred during my first FET and made sure I knew when to look so I was able to see the embryo as it transferred over. After the embryo transfer he held our hands while explaining next steps and told us not to worry- this was a really nice gesture and I left the whole experience feeling relaxed and hopeful for what is to come!

We used menopur and gonal for stim meds as well as a lupron trigger as my ovaries are poly cystic. He recommended freezing all embryos as I was at a higher risk of OHSS so my body had time to recover post retrieval and prior to our FET. We had 26 eggs retrieved, 12 fertilized, and 6 frozen. Still waiting on results from our first FET!

I think a strength is that a lot of the care is delegated to NPs, PAs, and RN's who can do the monitoring and many of the procedures (all my IUI's were done by these folks). I would say a weakness is each time I need to travel to Syracuse for procedures I encounter long wait times (one-two hours). The Rochester location runs smoothly and on time though!

I know our FET cost $250, they will continue to cost $250 each transfer until we use all 6 frozen embryos or until we become pregnant.

Clinic is very clean, comfortable and I love how beautiful the clinic is.

Dr. Corley is extremely knowledgeable and has no problem explaining any process or reasoning with great detail. He is kind, patient, and a very warm person. He's also realistic and forthcoming and isn't going to try to gloss over the things a patient may not want to hear.

At CNY so many people want to see Dr. Kiltz because he's the face of the clinic in so many aspects. Although Dr. Kiltz is an amazing man I feel like I received the type of care that is best for me from Dr. Corley and I prefer Dr. Corley.

My first protocol was given to me by a different doctor at the clinic. My first consult with Dr. Corley was after a failed frozen transfer with a natural cycle. He had me add Prograf to the protocol, and I was offered the option of using intralipds which I accepted.

I was a travel patient so I didn't use the monitoring at CNY. However, I will say their price for monitoring per cycle is unbeatable. I wish I could have used them but the office was too far away.

I am doing my IVF with CNY as a global travel client, which means I'm traveling to the clinic from a different state. I never met or spoke with Dr. Corley other than the day of the egg retrieval. Our meeting was very brief. He asked me how many follicles we had and then told me a little about the procedure. The clinic [CNY] looks like a spa. They put us in a private room with a couch to wait prior to retrieval so we wouldn't have be out waiting in the waiting room which was nice. I am doing my IVF with CNY as a global travel client, which means I'm traveling to the clinic from a different state. I never met or spoke with Dr. Corley other than the day of the egg retrieval. Our meeting was very brief. He asked me how many follicles we had and then told me a little about the procedure. He seemed nice, but with so little interaction it's hard to really judge
Describe the protocols David Corley used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
I don't know that Dr. Corley actually put together the protocol, but here's what it was. We did a natural cycle, so just started based on the start of the my menses. I had a baseline labs and U/S done on CD 3 and then started meds on CD 4. I did 300IU of Gonal-f and 150IU of menopur. On stims day 6 (CD 9) I added 0.25mg cetrotide. I had more bloodwork and U/S on stims day 8 (CD 11). I then received a call that day that retrieval would be on CD 14. We triggered with Lupron (I can't remember the dose) at 1am on CD 13 and then did a second Lupron trigger at 1pm on CD 13. We had 6 decent sized follicles with several smaller ones (total of 11) noted at the stims day 8 u/s. We collected 5 eggs, 3 were mature and fertilized. 3 grew to day 3 and were of fair quality. We froze all 3 on day 3

I dealt primarily with the nursing staff. They are very well informed. You can communicate with them via phone or email through the online portal system. They were quick to respond to both phone and the email system, though it was frustrating at times when I would call and always have to leave a message.

The clinic looks like a spa. They put us in a private room with a couch to wait prior to retrieval so we wouldn't have be out waiting in the waiting room which was nice. I was very anxious and just sitting there was difficult for me, especially since I was completely alone.

We decided to go with CNY because of their discounted costs. Insurance covers nothing for us for IVF. My monitoring was done in CA. The costs of that were $300 and $419 for the 2 different appointments. Some of my meds were donated by friends, but we did spend about $2000 on meds. We had to travel to CNY which cost us about another $2000. The cost of the IVF was $3900 this included anesthesia, retrieval, FET for a year and storage for a year.

Although some of the ideas the doctors encourage seem a bit far fetched or silly, there is some voodoo or magic to it because the success rates are there. When I first became a patient of CNY fertility I was blown away by their staff and facility but then over time they advanced even more and became even more amazing which is hard to believe.

During my HSG exam he explained that even though it looked like I have an occluded tube that sometimes this isn’t always the case based off of the exam.... After having a D&C Dr. Corley called me himself to explain my results of a biopsy and explained I had hyperplasia. He ensured to explain although this is precancerous that it was not cancer and something that could be treated. Before I could continue further treatment I needed to take care of the hyperplasia.

He [Dr. David Corley] was kind, efficient and calm. I felt very comfortable in his care. Because I was a traveling patient I had minimal face to face time with him but he had a charming and calm energy that brought peace to everything...I was a traveling patient- only came in for the retrieval and transfer. While I was under his direct care he was wonderful- but I only spent minutes (awake) with him in person. I didn't feel like a number, but not enough face to face to invest in a relationship.
[CNY Fertility Center] Communication was tough as it was a time when lots of patients were starting to find out about CNY and the travel option. You need to be very organized on your side and diligent about helping manage your own care...Kind, knowledgeable [nurses]. I came on when traveling treatments were newer. A few bugs but overall they did a great job...He [Dr. Corley] was kind, efficient and calm. I felt very comfortable in his care. I was a traveling patient- only came in for the retrieval and transfer. While I was under his direct care he was wonderful- but I only spent minutes (awake) with him in person. I didn't feel like a number, but not enough face to face to invest in a relationship.
Describe the protocols David Corley used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
He did not prescribe bedrest like past doctors had. His reasoning behind it made sense and made for an easier time post transfer. The clinic suggests Keto diet which I found helpful. I'd always gone low card for procedures but never fully no carb.

Kind, knowledgeable. I came on when traveling treatments were newer. A few bugs but overall they did a great job.

He [Dr. Corley] was thorough when we did finally get to meet him. He answered all questions we had.... I was on final for stimming and didn’t respond well. They hoped to get 10 eggs at retrieval, they got 5. From those 5, one fertilized and that one didn’t make it to day 5.... The strive now Is to not allow for more than one embryo to be transferred unless you have history of failed IVF before.
You never speak to the same nurse [at CNY Fertility] more than once. Every time you call and message you get someone different.... You were constantly given conflicting information. Information was different depending on which nurse answered your questions that day. Usually, you can’t ask more than one question at a time because they will only answer one.... You have to advocate for yourself in this clinic. You are constantly given conflicting info. You never speak to the same nurse.

Still do your research. He is a very good physician but I. The IVF world I feel like there isn’t much hand holding. He will do his best and follow his guidance but listen to your body as well.
