[Dr. Nash] was able to get all of my husband and my tests completed and discuss the results with us giving us the straight forward answer that we need to go straight to IVF. I really appreciated this as we would not spend more time trying to conceive or money on IUI...He does a single embryo transfer...he sees me each time I am in the clinic. I am not passed around to different doctors...Be prepared if you don't have tough skin to accept that he is going to give you his best medical advice and opinion towards your treatment
I cannot say enough about Kathleen and the nursing staff [at Reproductive Gynecology]...You are assigned a specific IVF nurse throughout ...Kathleen personally calls me about everything I need to know each step of the way...They are efficient and I always said it's like a well oiled machine when you go in because you get in and out, but never EVER feel rushed by anyone...not passed around to different doctors

As I said before, Dr. Nash is my kind of doctor. I do not want anything sugar coated. I want to know what the problem is and how to fix it. Although there is more to it then that when it comes to infertility, he was able to get all of my husband and my tests completed and discuss the results with us giving us the straight forward answer that we need to go straight to IVF. I really appreciated this as we would not spend more time trying to conceive or money on IUI or other procedures that would not work for our situation. Some people would not like that kind of answer or directness of their doctor but I do. We were given time to process and brought in for another consultation to go over all our questions. He answered each of the many questions we had, explained everything including the full IVF process, the cost, the risks, the possibility of success etc. He is a very kind man as well and I always felt comfortable during exams and procedures. He made us laugh and was always very efficient without making us feel rushed by any means. I would recommend him to anyone. He is very intelligent and experienced. I appreciate all the time he takes with us as a couple and am glad he sees me each time I am in the clinic. I am not passed around to different doctors.

Be prepared if you don't have tough skin to accept that he is going to give you his best medical advice and opinion towards your treatment even if it is not something you want to hear. He is trying to do what is best for you and your wishes to start a family with all of the knowledge, experience and research he has gained over his years of practice.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility (Pinnacle Network clinic)?
Dr. Nash explained very thoroughly our infertility diagnoses and the treatment plan that would be best for us and why. He did not beat around the bush but gave us the hard facts which I appreciate very much. He also is very comforting at the same time of being straight forward and has a great bedside manner. He makes us laugh even through this difficult experience. The front desk receptionist welcomes you every time and works on learning your name so she doesn't have to ask when you come in after a few visits. The nurses are absolutely outstanding and are supporting you through the whole process. They all want my husband and I to end up with a baby in our arms in the end just as badly as we do. You are assigned a specific IVF nurse throughout as well and get to know her very well. Ours is Kathleen and we couldn't ask for a sweeter, more empathetic nurse to go through this process with us.

We went straight to IVF after starting our journey with Dr. Nash. My husband and I had tried naturally for almost 2 years. Dr. Nash diagnosed me with decreased ovarian reserve at the age of 29 and an AMH of 0.92. He also thinks I have endometriosis due to my symptoms but we have not proceeded to do an exploratory laparoscopy as there is nothing we have found abnormal with my uterus. Therefore, we get the eggs out after hard stimulation and bypass the ovulation process by going through IVF. He retrieved 9 eggs, 6 fertilized and 3 embryos resulted. He recommended PGS but we decided not to do that. My husband also has low sperm morphology so we also used ICSI. We also did an ERA to assure my uterus was stimulated correctly and it was through the medications he prescribed me. The first transfer ended in a chemical pregnancy and the 2nd transfer failed all together. We still have 1 embryo frozen currently. We are starting stimulation for another retrieval next month and will be doing PGS testing this time.

I cannot say enough about Kathleen and the nursing staff in general. They truly want the best for their patients and it feels like we are all in it together through this process. Kathleen personally calls me about everything I need to know each step of the way. I will never forget that after one of transfers she saw us in the hall and gave us a huge hug and kicked her leg up so excited for the possibility of growing our family. Although we took about 6 months off after the 2nd transfer didn't work, when I called she was so excited to hear from us again and knew exactly who we were like we never took a break. The staff is there for the good, bad and ugly. They explain everything so well and are prompt in their calls back to us. They are efficient and I always said it's like a well oiled machine when you go in because you get in and out, but never EVER feel rushed by anyone. I appreciate this feeling so much especially when you are going through something so complicated that should just be natural.

The clinic is welcoming as you walk in. The receptionist after a few visits will start to remember your name and she makes it a goal of hers for you not to tell her your name so she can learn it. The clinic is always very clean. Like I've said, the staff is very efficient without making you feel rushed so you are in and out of your appointment quickly. When you have consultations they have nice rooms with tables and chairs that are cozy for you sit in to meet.

IVF was $9500 PGS was $4000 and medications varied in price. Each visit between transfer attempts was $200 if we needed an ultrasound and doctor visit. ERA was $600. Freezing embryos is $150 quarterly.

He does a single embryo transfer. I cannot specifically remember why but I did question this last year and we looked at research together showing why this is being done.

I look at that as efficiency. Still, I haven’t felt rushed by Dr Nash. He always takes care to make sure any questions or concerns are answered. I got pregnant with my son on our second transfer. I went through three more unsuccessful transfers. At every step Dr Nash told us what our options were. We ended up doing another egg retrieval with genetic testing and an ERA to give us our best chance. Dr Nash explained all of those options to us and was there every time something unforeseen popped up to re-evaluate.

I know the office sees a crazy number of patients. I think the doctors and nurses go out of their way to treat you like a person given all the patients they must see in a day.

It is crazy how fast things change. We started with IUI because male factor infertility was not an issue at first. After our second IUI it became apparent that it would be a factor as well as my diminished ovarian reserve. So we switched gears to IVF with ICSI. My first retrieval we ended up with five day five blasts. Genetic testing was not being as widely utilized so we didn’t do it. That’s what I wish I could do over. My first transfer my lining wasn’t thickening so they changed my estrogen protocol and that worked. Our second transfer resulted in my son. When he was a year old we started trying again. After another failed transfer Dr Nash asked us about trying another retrieval with genetic testing. We opted to do the last two transfers instead. Neither took. So we did what Dr Nash suggested and did a retrieval with genetic testing as well as an endometrial receptivity analysis. We now have two blasts and are awaiting a transfer.

The IVF nurse coordinators are amazing. Giving yourself shots can be intimidating at fist and they are very good at explaining things and putting you at ease. Also, they completely explain each protocol to make sure it is understood and followed.

It is the single most efficiently run doctor’s office I have ever been to. We have had a couple of billing issues as we had insurance coverage but maxed it out and are now self pay. A couple things have been accidentally processed through insurance still. But the office had been good about getting those issues resolved.

$14,500 includes retrieval, genetic testing, freezing and first transfer. Additional FET are $3,500. This includes all appointments, procedures. Medications are extra. I have medication coverage so mine were never more than a few hundred. The ERA ended up being around $1,200 maybe. $600 was the cost of the lab analysis. The rest was for the office visits.

The office very much pushes single transfers. They want what gives the best chance for a healthy mother and baby. I’ll give you from a time/money standpoint that can feel frustrating in the midst of it, but they’ve explained the medical reasons and I get it.

Dr.Nash is the kind of doctor you want if you appreciate no-nonsense, clear and concise communication (which is what I appreciate the most). He made a very clear plan for us, which started with uterine fibroid removal surgery. We completed three rounds of IUI with donor sperm and haven't yet had any luck, but when I consulted again with Dr. Nash about "what's next", we felt confident knowing that he gave us multiple options with statistical chances for each option. We intend to move forward with IVF once the clinics are allowed to conduct elective procedures again. I highly recommend Dr. Nash. I am very pleased thus far with our experience.

First, I had an abdominal laparotomy to remove multiple fibroids from my uterine cavity. After 6 weeks of recovery, I did 3 rounds of IUI (Clomid and Ovidrel) with donor sperm (my husband was previously diagnosed and treated for azoospermia with no success). We have no pregnancies yet. We will be moving forward with IVF with donor sperm due to this being the highest chance of pregnancy, particularly due to my age.

Strengths- warm, welcoming, compassionate atmosphere from the staff and nurses. Dr. Nash is an expert and gives clear courses of treatment. Weaknesses- The clinic is far away from me, and their new one that is closer is not yet providing ART services. Hoping that will change soon.

Others sometimes describe Dr. Nash as simply blunt, but I disagree. I can accept different demeanors from my physicians. What's more difficult for me to accept is someone in such a dynamic field committing to what they learned many years ago without being open to more recent theories and/or advancements...As an older woman with DOR, beyond some overoptimistic percentages given to me when considering IVF, I haven't yet felt the sense that he actually expects that we might succeed.
It's a mixed bag. There are compassionate, invested individuals at the practice [at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility], but the clinic as a whole is very rigid and run of the mill...Multiple times I've been "out of luck" with mistakes the clinic has made only to find out later that there were workarounds available that a more individualized approach would have uncovered...It's hard to get through and you've got to really stay on top of what you're being charged. This clinic requires a lot of legwork on the patient end, more than other clinics I've worked with.

I respect conviction, but when combined with the rushed nature of consults and procedures it can feel very discouraging. In retrospect I feel Dr. Nash really falls victim to the age-trap, which can be statistically supported but doesn't tell the whole story. As an older woman with DOR, beyond some overoptimistic percentages given to me when considering IVF, I haven't yet felt the sense that he actually expects that we might succeed.

It's a mixed bag. There are compassionate, invested individuals at the practice, but the clinic as a whole is very rigid and run of the mill. During a visit to a satellite clinic I saw an article describing RGI as a "boutique clinic" and I actually snort-laughed out loud. I found the clinic to be resistant to changing practices within the field. Multiple times I've been "out of luck" with mistakes the clinic has made only to find out later that there were workarounds available that a more individualized approach would have uncovered.

Strengths: the individual people involved in care. It's fairly smooth once you're at the office. They are often able to fit appointments in (though not always). Weaknesses: almost every aspect on the administrative side, especially billing. It's hard to get through and you've got to really stay on top of what you're being charged. This clinic requires a lot of legwork on the patient end, more than other clinics I've worked with.

[Reproductive Gynecology] Strength is they get you in and out very quick and try to work with your schedule as much as possible...Communication is bad if you are not in a cycle, but better when you are actively in treatment. They used to meet in person with you but now all communication is done through text message. The experience is a little cold now. They definitely expect you to drive your treatment and you are often on your own for research

He is very kind and personable but very quick and not the next patient. If you are wanting to try anything beyond a typical medicated protocol, he is not likely a good fit

Quick in and out, no real conversation during appointments

Kathleen was great but she left the clinic. There has been a lot of turnover since. There is an IVF coordinator who is very black and white and we don’t communicate with her often, mostly the IVF nurses. The new nurses are good but they are still learning

Strength is they get you in and out very quick and try to work with your schedule as much as possible. They are going through a buy out and the transition has been rough. Changing to a new EMR that they are having challenges learning. Communication is bad if you are not in a cycle, but better when you are actively in treatment. They used to meet in person with you but now all communication is done through text message. The experience is a little cold now. They definitely expect you to drive your treatment and you are often on your own for research. They are very reactive to next steps and not often proactively communicating

Had to ask for my last HCG draw around 5pm on beta day, nobody called me with results. Test was negative Dr Nash has given conflicting information- saying steroids were dangerous for fertility treatment then when I was on them for a hive breakout, he said I could keep going with my cycle they wouldn’t effect anything I have always had an allergy to amoxicillin but dr Nash gives it to me after egg retrieval feels benefits outweigh risks. I ended up in the ER after use

Dr. Nash was kind and had a gentle bed-side manner. The reason why I felt like a number was because of how rushed he always seemed and how the clinic itself operated. This clinic prides itself on making sure you always see the same Dr. every appointment which is nice, but when the clinic is busy it takes longer to get appointments and it felt like everyone was just trying to get you in and out without time to process or ask questions in person.

Dr Nash was recommending IVF and I had completed all of the bloodwork and tests leading up to the start, but I had issues with the staff getting the approvals from my insurance so I did not continue my treatment there any further.

I only spoke to my nurse and care team via phone or an app. I didn't feel like I could fully ask questions without getting short responses in return. Felt like I was bothering them. I also had issues with the team sending in my prior authorizations to begin IVF. I kept calling and messaging and when they did re-send to insurance, the information was still incorrect, I got denied again, and then my insurance wouldn't approve without an appeal process. It was all extremely frustrating because it felt like another job that I had to monitor when I already had a job plus I was trying to learn about all of the medical things to come. I was very disappointed in their ability to help actually solve the problem. I felt like they were so busy and overwhelmed that no one took time to actually look at my information, what was being requested, and submit the paperwork properly. I went to a second clinic and everything was processed properly so I do know it was possible and I had coverage for these things.

A strength is that you see the same Dr every time. Weaknesses are related to wait times for appointments, being able to easily contact the IVF Nurse/Team, and the staff not knowing how to properly submit paperwork for prior authorizations.

I am lucky enough to have some insurance coverage for fertility so if I continued with IVF with them I would have only had to pay out of pocket for certain components, but they did want $14k upfront before starting (not including meds).

The biggest issue was when I was completing my checklist before starting IVF. I had everything completed, but was only waiting on the prior authorizations to get approved by my insurance. Countless calls and messages through the portal and it never got submitted correctly and then my insurance wouldn't do anything more without an appeal. It was an extremely frustrating and time consuming process and so I looked for a second opinion where I ended up finding a team with better communication.

Dr. Nash is the perfect mix of caring, but also efficient. At our consult I felt like he may have been a little "closed off" in a way in that he was questioning our issues, but as we got to know him throughout our course of treatment, we absolutely loved him. His appointments are very quick, but he will make sure you have your questions answered and feel good about what is going on before he leaves. We actually enjoyed the quick appointments. It meant waiting not even 5 minutes in the waiting room and the examination room before being seen. The man is efficient! There was maybe twice we didn't see him because he was either off that day or sick and we would joke that Dr. Nash must not be here today because we waited for 20+ minutes compared to our usual 5 minutes.

Know that he works fast. He knows what he is looking for at each examine and gets straight to the point, but he will make sure you are taken care of before the appointment is over.

Dr. Nash always warmly greeted us and made an effort to make sure we felt taken care of. He is very quick with his visits, but efficient. We saw doctor Nash 9/10 times. He did the majority of our monitoring and ultrasounds. The only times we did not see him was if we were scheduled on his off days. We felt like he was there every step of the way, not just important procedure days.

Dr Nash is one of the most soft spoken, respectful and kind physicians I have ever had treat me...He has been the first and only doctor to actually care. He absolutely has only discussed the idea of a hysterectomy as an absolute last resort and won’t even consider it as on of his first several options to treat me. Amazing!
Everything was great. The [Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility - Canfield] staff was helpful and knowledgeable. The facility was clean and welcoming environment. Staff always made me feel at home, and relaxed. I have no concerns or worries about any time I have an appointment to see Dr. Nash or his staff...All nurses were very personable upon arrival and throughout the entire appointment when assisting the doctor. They kept me abreast of any changes regarding the appointment and any delay in Dr. Nash’s arrival into my room from another appointment.

Dr Nash is an amazing compassionate Doctor. I recommend him to any woman experiencing fertility concerns nationwide. During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility (Pinnacle Network clinic)?
Dr Nash is one of the most soft spoken, respectful and kind physicians I have ever had treat me. Upon arrival, he always takes me to his actual office, where it’s warm, with furniture, paintings, etc, rather than straight to the exam room. We would always discuss my current status, go over options and lab work/test results, and he would even get the uterine plastic replica to demonstrate some of my concerns. I am terrified that I will never be able to have my own children. At the time I was referred to him by a family member, I had already had one major fibroid removal surgery. During my initial consultation, he diagnosed me with diminished ovarian reserve as well as PCOS which other doctors would not confirm if I had or not. Despite him conducting a fibroid removal and polypectomy, my tumors continue to return present day where my o Lu options are getting closer to being total hysterectomy only. I have also had two pregnancies resulting in miscarriage due to the size of the fibroids. I remember the words he spoke to me during my first meeting: “My goal is to preserve your reproductive organs for childbirth” He has been the first and only doctor to actually care. He absolutely has only discussed the idea of a hysterectomy as an absolute last resort and won’t even consider it as on of his first several options to treat me. Amazing!

I had imaging, physical examination, polypectomy and Myomectomy for uterine fibroids. He also issued lab testing to measure results of my ovarian reserve. Due to prior history with fibroids, he wanted to give me an opportunity to go through the mental process of determining if I wanted to pursue donor insemination, find my own biological donor, or just have time in between each appointment and procedure to adjust emotionally to what I was going through.

Dr. Nash went above and beyond and gave us a chance to have our miracle when all else failed, and everyone else said no. Dr. Nash explained things in depth to us and made sure we understood our risk factors, costs and procedures. Dr. Nash was compassionate. Dr. Nash went above and beyond.

We started our journey with Clomid. When I failed a Clomid challenge, and didn't ovulate, we went onto Femara. I had trouble with my cycles being regular, so he advised using Provera for a few cycles. We went onto doing a test called a Saline Infusion Ultrasound or HSG/SIS. This makes sure there are no blockages. From there, we went onto Femara with IUI, and the reason was due to the losses, my pcos and endometriosis. When he did my husbands sperm analysis and it came back low motility and count, we went onto IUI's. He explained there was a 70% chance each time. We concieved on time three.

There was one nurse who was very incompassionate. She even told us "Oh youre going to drive an hour just for a lab test?" when we were bleeding and petrified of another loss. We were like YES!!!! We will. Thankfully we didnt lose our baby, and he is 10 months old now! Other than the one nurse, everyone else was very compassionate and caring.

Genetic Testing Was covered, if we had moved onto IVF, we would have paid out of pocket for PGTM testing, through Natera, which was approx. $5000

So much so that I referred my family to him. Dr Nash without a doubt always stayed ahead of my treatments and was always able to identify eggs vs cysts and appropriate treatment...Originally my treatment started with letrozole (I think 2.5mg) along with trigger shots for timed intercourse which we tried about 4-5 times. I was producing the eggs but was not fertilizing them. Then Doctor suggested we try other options. I was treated with clomid(150mg) trigger shot and IUI. Clomid took 3 tries for correct dosing, some people respond sooner so a lower dose is used first. I was successful with that treatment, I am currently pregnant with twins due in November of 2020.

He [Dr. David Nash] is very honest but sometimes it feels like he is in a rush...He told me mid scan that we would not be able to move forward with our IUI because of the restrictions in place now, even though I had a huge follicle ready. I could see the sadness on his face. I clearly was not the first person he had to say that to that day. He did allow me to get the trigger shot at the clinic that day, because I had already taken the 5 days of meds. Unfortunately, it was not successful. I have called plenty of times with random questions and they are always patient and answer them. During the shut down they were very proficient in the new procedures...I love how easy it was to get into the clinic and start our journey. He was very nice in our first meeting. Our second was a full consultation after testing and we were 15 minutes late. He eliminated the idea that I had PCOS, which was one of the reasons we were sent to him in the first place. After that we saw him a couple more times before our first IUI. IUI number 1 and 2 were with another doctor because of the way the dates fell. When I went in for my last scan before IUI number 3, I had to go in a day early because I got a positive ovulation test at home. Dr. Nash was very accommodating. Unfortunately, it was at the beginning of the Ohio COVID-19 shutdown. Round 1 of IUI we used Clomid ( started with Dr. Nash, procedure by Dr.Jain) Round 2 of IUI we started Letrozole instead because Clomid gave me a huge cyst on my left ovary and we had to wait a cycle for it to go away (Dr. Jain) Round 3 I took Letrozole and the trigger shot, but no insemination because of COVID-19 restrictions ( Started with Dr.Jain, ended with Dr.Nash) We have had no success. Originally Dr. Nash suggested we only try 3 rounds of IUI and if we were unsuccessful, move to IVF with ICSI. **Dr. Jain consulted with Dr. Nash about course of treatment when I was not seen by Dr.Nash

The morning of our last scan, I called to make sure I should come in and that we were okay to move forward. With the COVID-19 restrictions at clinics I wanted to be sure we weren’t wasting our time if I couldn't do the IUI. The person I talked to said yes, since we had already started meds, our cycle was safe. Then during my scan, the doctor told me we would have to cancel because of new restrictions they were given the night before.

For the most part until my husband and I decided to go through IVF (supposed to be next month), we would go in day 1-3, I’d get an ultrasound and they’d tell me how big my cysts were bc I always have them, and say whether I could take medicine or not. Depending on the size and amount of cysts, I sometimes got to take it. Then I’d go in around day 12 and get a trigger shot and then day 13 or 14 we’d do the IUI and continue to baby dance for a few days after that. Same thing with timed intercourse when we couldn’t afford another IUI. He also performed a laparoscopic surgery for my endometriosis that’s stage 4

He is only in the Columbus office two days a week so you will be seeing another doctor when he is not there. Be sure to ask questions. Be your own best advocate. I feel like I've had to follow-up on my thyroid blood draws time after time. I've had to continually up my thyroid medication and I'm still not where I should be.

Dr. Nash has always been very kind. I feel like he could have provided more information in each check-up. He always takes the extra second at the end of the appointment to look at you directly and say it was 'nice to see you'.

For egg retrieval: Apply Testerone gel (.5ml) to upper arm once daily until trigger. 3 days later start bc for 9 days. After baseline - start Gonal-f 375 and Menopur 75, start dexamethasone (.5mg) take two daily until trigger. 6 days later - start omnitrope (8 units subcutaneous daily). Trigger with HCG. Doxy before and after retrieval. For egg transfer: Start Estrace 2mg twice daily and start baby aspirin once daily. Three days later increase Estrace to 2mg three times daily. Five days later decrease Estrace to 2x a day. Start Medrol once per evening for 7 days. Start 1.5cc of PIO in the evening.

Everyone here is friendly and helpful, including the front office staff and the appointment coordinators. They are often busy, as most doctor offices are, but they show support and compassion during your individual appointments. I feel I was lucky that I choose this fertility clinic because I have been very happy with the treatment so far despite my negative IUIs.

My insurance paid for most treatment until I began my IUI cycles, which cost (including sperm vials) $1,500 each cycle. I also had to pay for my genetic testing, but it was reduced to $199 and a counseling appointment which was $250 but very beneficial.

Dr nash stimulated me hard, doubled my dose of menopure and watched closely for positive changes. I have low ovarian functioning,so he wanted to try and get my ovaries to produce the most eggs possible. He also had me taking supplements to help with egg quality. On egg retrieval day, we got 9 eggs. My Amtrak follicle count was low,so this was really good .

I felt like the clinic was so busy that even the nursing staff wasn't able to spend much time with me or really get to know me. I heard many times that i would receive a phone call , and never did. I felt in the dark about a lot especially labs. They never called with any results. I lived an hour away and they made us drive to the office for discussion of anything. Stuff that easily could have been discussed on the phone.

Dr Nash is a very caring doctor, he is very through and detailed when explaining things and mindful of our feelings. He is extremely caring and always makes sure I am comfortable during exams and procedures... I would absolutely recommend Dr Nash and personally will use him again for future pregnancies. He is detailed, through, to the point, compassionate, well educated and all around a great doctor. He was with us at all but one small checkup, he even performed my D&C himself.
The whole staff at RGI is amazing, they are friendly and compassionate. My husband and I always enjoy seeing them and know we’re in great care.... The only weakness I will say is the information/timelines provided to patients. For all the money we spend we felt it should be more detailed. Their strengths are that they are wonderful in so many wats, great doctors, nurses and staff. They are all well educated and up to date on new procedures and processes.

I would absolutely recommend Dr Nash and personally will use him again for future pregnancies. He is detailed, through, to the point, compassionate, well educated and all around a great doctor. He was with us at all but one small checkup, he even performed my D&C himself.

Dr Nash is very detailed and to the point, make sure you can handle the blunt truth when working with him as he doesn’t sugarcoat anything.

Describe the protocols David Nash used in your cycles at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility (Pinnacle Network clinic) and their degree of success.
Dr Nash stimulated me “hard” during my stims cycle to ensure good quality/volume of eggs given I had low ovulatory function. There was anywhere from 1-2 shots per day depending on the timeframe of the cycle along with various pills.

Dr Nash does not like putting multiple embryos into females as it’s a huge health/safety risk for both the mother and potential babies.

Overall our experience with Dr. Nash has been positive. Understanding his practice flow is important. Consultations are the time for questions, concerns, and waxing poetic. The other appointments are for ultrasounds and procedures. When you feel overwhelmed or you have questions that need answered, schedule a consultation with him. He never makes us feel rushed during those visits. He listens to our questions/concerns and helps us adjust the treatment plan as necessary.
When you become a patient at RGI they give you a piece of paper that says your ultrasound and procedure appointments are for just that, ultrasounds and procedures. These appointments aren’t for asking questions. ... There is a lab at the clinic which is convenient. ... Overall I am very satisfied with my experience at RGI. The front desk staff is always warm and friendly. The nurses are efficient and knowledgeable. ... I never have a difficult time getting an appointment at a time that fits my schedule.

Do as much research as possible before your appointment and write your questions down. He moves pretty fast so if you aren't ready to execute your thoughts, you'll miss your opportunity.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility (Pinnacle Network clinic)?
When you become a patient at RGI they give you a piece of paper that says your ultrasound and procedure appointments are for just that, ultrasounds and procedures. These appointments aren’t for asking questions. Dr Nash is very serious about this. He is in and out of the room in a flash. He is very quick and you generally don’t have time to ask him any questions. At times, it can make you feel disconnected and like a number. However, Dr Nash is always very willing to discuss whatever you may like and answer all of your questions when you schedule consultation time with him. It’s always good to come prepared with questions and do your research ahead of time so you don’t have to keep scheduling consultations with him.

We have done one cycle of clomid + HCG trigger shot and one cycle of clomid + IUI. Negative pregnancy tests thus far. Also had a laparoscopy to rule out endometriosis or other abnormality.

The nursing staff at RGI is top notch. They almost always call me back on the day that I call. They are a well oiled machine.

Overall I am very satisfied with my experience at RGI. The front desk staff is always warm and friendly. The nurses are efficient and knowledgeable. There is a lab at the clinic which is convenient. I never have a difficult time getting an appointment at a time that fits my schedule. Dr. Nash is great.

I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks prior to seeing Dr. Nash. My first month with Dr. Nash we took Letrozol and it did not work. We did two or three more rounds of this. We then did surgery to get a better of what is happening inside and he diagnosed me with stage 2 endometriosis. When I was able to start trying again we took Gonal-F and I got pregnant. We had a chemical pregnancy at 4-5 weeks. I am not waiting on results from further testing.
The nursing staff [at Repro Gynecology] is great but seems overwhelmed a lot which is expected with the number of patients they see. I wish there was a portal within the office so I could view results and not have to continuously call..... This clinic is very trusted and has amazing doctors. The staff is friendly but do get overwhelmed so don’t take it personally if they seem short sometimes. This office is usually very busy. The front staff are amazing, they are very friendly. The nurses and lab techs are friendly and will answer your questions to the best of their abilities.

I set very high expectations for Dr. Nash and he try’s very hard to help me undestand my body. There is a lot up in the air right now and I hope and pray he can give me answers. When my husband and I first went to see Dr. Nash it was a world of difference from the previous care we had received. Instead of being hurried in and out of the office, Dr. Nash took time to put a plan together to not only ensure that we had the best chance of conceiving with IVF but explain all of the options that we could utilize to increase our chances success. Furthermore, Dr. Nash performed surgery to correct the previous physician’s mistakes and removed a portion of my Fallopian tube that although was not an immediate danger to conceiving a child, could have been an increased risk for cancer down the road. It is for that reason that we are thankful that we found RGI and Dr. Nash.

My husband and myself both had our blood tested to ensure that their were no increased genetic risks in conceiving. Having found out that I was never vaccinated for chicken pox, Dr. Nash immediately scheduled the vaccination so we could keep moving forward as quickly as possible. My husbands semen sample was examined even though there was already an analysis on file to make double certain that everything we could do to ensure a high success rate was done. Lastly, Dr. Nash scheduled me for surgery to remove the parts of my Fallopian tubes that had been left by the previous physician/surgeon. This meant the most to me as leaving the tube ends as they were would have left us at an increased risk for an ectopic pregnancy, which I had already gone through prior to seeking Dr. Nash’s opinion.

Every nurse and staff member, from the nurses to the clerical staff was a pleasure to work with. It seemed as if they all were there because they believed in the mission of the clinic to help with all infertility issues, and that was a breath of fresh air in comparison to the previous care we had received.

It did seem like he became more friendly and open as time passed and we did more treatments. Our fertility treatments ended up exactly how he predicted ... Due to my high AMH, we used an antagonist protocol.
The embryologists and lab [Reproductive Gynecology] are world class, very knowledgeable, and really enjoy educating patients. ... Nursing staff lacks compassion and emotion for their patients. Some of the front desk staff are not friendly. ... The only times phone calls were returned were during lunch (around 1:00) or after clinic hours (around 4:00/4:30). Dr. Nash is a brilliant fertility doctor. However, if you are looking for someone that is fuzzy and warm with great bedside manner, he is not it. He is very scientific, which I didn't mind since I have a scientific background and appreciate science, but it would've been nice to see some compassion at times. It did seem like he became more friendly and open as time passed and we did more treatments. Our fertility treatments ended up exactly how he predicted, that we would need to do IVF but that IVF would be highly successful for us. He was spot on with my stimulation medications and we ended up with many PGS normal embryos for us to transfer. I never visited the other center in town and I'm so very glad I didn't. If you want success in your treatment, someone that will rack his brain to figure out a good plan for you, Dr. Nash is the one to see.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility (Pinnacle Network clinic)?
Be prepared to not be coddled and have your hand held along the way. He explains things very fast and if I didn't have a medical background, it would probably be difficult to truly understand what was going on. He is only in Westerville on Wednesdays and Thursday mornings, and it's only during working hours, so be prepared to miss work.

This is a very busy practice. Dr. Nash would have to look at my chart every time he came in to know who I was and what we were doing. He would also ask me questions sometimes regarding previous treatments and results that probably should've been reviewed before entering the room

Due to my high AMH, we used an antagonist protocol. I ended up doing 12 days of stims then a trigger shot 24 hours before my egg retrieval. RGI does utilize CRNAs to deliver propofol for the egg retrieval which would've been an absolutely horrible experience without.

The nursing staff at RGI is not the greatest, but they are so super busy, so it's hard to be 100% present with each patient and compassionate to the extent a patient going through this would hope for. Lynn is the nurse Dr. Nash has for all procedures before IVF. She was very kind, but seemed aloof and disorganized. The only times phone calls were returned were during lunch (around 1:00) or after clinic hours (around 4:00/4:30). Shannel is Dr. Nash's IVF coordinator. She is very nice in person; however, over email, she comes off as very brash and short, as if the patients are really putting her out with questions/concerns. Jenna is the nurse we have been working with after our successful FET. She is also aloof but kind. She is knowledgeable and really strives to help you when you have questions.

Strengths: Very dedicated, intelligent doctors. Dr. Nash is very good at starting slow and discussing all potential options with you. The embryologists and lab are world class, very knowledgeable, and really enjoy educating patients. Weaknesses: Dr. Nash will not talk to patients over the phone about results, only in person, which as a working patient can be nothing but added stress. Dr. Jain is quick to jump to IVF. I have no insurance coverage for infertility. Each ultrasound appt was $200. Each consultation was $200. Each IUI: $500 for procedure, $200 for sperm washing, $200/ultrasound (at least 2/cycle). IVF: About $8000 for procedure (including all labs, consultations, and monitoring visits during cycle), $4000 for meds, $2000 for ICSI, $4500 for PGS testing

For my age and the high quality of our embryos, he was very adamant about only transferring one embryo. We were OK with this as we understood the potential severe complications of having multiples and just wanted a healthy baby.

I feel that he’s [Dr. David Nash] a good doctor but sticks to the protocol. I did IUI with him and he gives medication based on a same protocol not considering my situation.. also we have MFI and no cure or coursenof action has been given for that. We’re juat trying to do IUI to increase Chance of pregnancy but hubby still has MFi... IUI- I did a Clomid-ovidrel-IUI three times so far and no pregnancies yet. He did semen analysis on my husband and found MFI but no treatment plan has been offered for that which I thought was weird! I wish he treated the underlying cause and not just treat the result..
It’s very hard to reach the nurse on the phone at this clinic [Reproductive Gyneocology-Akron]!!! You have to leave a voicemail with your question and they get back when they’re free... and when they do I may be busy so we kee missing each other... I was waiting for my diagnostics c results FOREVer. I called before my appmt and they told me the results on phone but when I came in for the appmt, they said they didn’t receive the results back!! Then whose result did I hear on the phone??

Dr. Nash is a wonderful and caring doctor. He always greets you by name and with a smile on his face. Every appointment he wants to make sure that we are still on track with trying to have a baby. At the end of every appointment we always go over the next steps and he always ask if I don't understand anything. What I like most about him is that he genuinely cares for his patients by volunteering his personal time in different community events to raise money for IVF.
The clinic [Reproductive Gynecology] is well staff with nurses and doctors who are very informational. The office is clean and has private rooms for your family. They are located within a hospital which gives the convenience of blood work and other test because you don't have to walk very far. One thing that they can work to improve is patient wait time. I have waited for up to 45 minutes just to be seen due to overbooking.... I greatly appreciated that the nursing staff

One piece of advice that I would give a prospective patient is to never go into his office with a perceived notion. In many appointments I went into his office with a negative mindset that he wouldn't be able to help me but to my surprise he always had different options. Whether is be a different form of medication or a surgery that he was able to perform, either way I always left satisfied.

Dr. Nash and his team has always greeted my husband and I by name rather than just another appointment. Throughout my visits with Dr. Nash I always have appreciated that he was able to tell me straight forward the good news also bad. As a doctor he makes it a point to form a relationship with his patients by showing compassion during the times when we need it the most.

I greatly appreciated that the nursing staff always operated in privacy from the financial aspect to our actual go forward plan. Dealing with infertility can be embarrassing if you are still learning the entirety of its nature and how to accept it. They were always compassionate and positive after each appointment.

I have had 3 different surgeries with doctor Nash dealing with my tubal blockage totaling around $20,000. My current plan for IVF is $8,000 and medications $3,000-$7,000. My insurance doesn't cover any of that.

while I was taking a prenatal vitamin I needed a refill but with a doctors approval. My pharmacist called my doctors office but no one responded to them so I had to call also. In total I did not have my proper medication for almost 2 weeks which I was very upset about.

He [Dr. David Nash] works quickly, is usually early and does all procedures himself. He is very matter of fact and will answer your questions in a way that is easy to understand. He doesn't go into extreme detail about everything, but I also trust his judgment so I don't find that a problem. He is very kind and polite, but do not expect much small talk-no time is wasted under his care. A slight negative is that he often has students shadowing him, which may be uncomfortable for some people. It's never bothered me much and I haven't found them to be inappropriate, but it might put some people off.
IUI done with 2 inseminatins costs $750, hcg trigger is about $95. Most appointments are a $10 co-pay. IVF with ICSI is $10,000 ( does not include medications). Embryo freezing is $1,000 per year, less if there are 10 or more embryos. PGS is going to be $4,000...There aren't many options in the area for fertility clinics, but I don't have anything negative to say about anyone. Some days you might have to wait in the lobby or an exam room for a while before your doctor can see you. It's a very clean, warm atmosphere. I didn't have to wait very long to get an initial appointment

Don't expect him to sugar coat anything, he'll tell you everything like it is. But he'll also answer your questions and explain anything you're unsure of.

He is very matter of fact and does not sugar coat things. I do not mind this care, I find it important that my doctor is honest. He also works very quickly, again, this is not a bad thing. That said, he has always been very kind and friendly and has an excellent bedside manner. I have only left RGI feeling dejected after confirming non-viable pregnancies. Most of the time, I feel a little more optimistic that they can help.

Several saline sonograms to look for uterine abnormalities, retained tissue or scarring, surgery to remove polyps and a septum and to explore the uterus and Fallopian tubes. 3 IUI cycles with clomid and a trigger shot, 1 miscarried natural pregnancy, IVF retrieval with Gonal F, Menopur and cetrotide. Cycle was switched to a freeze all after progesterone came back a little high during stims. 2 embryos out of 7 made it to Day 5 freeze quality. Lupron and estrogen to prepare for transfer with progesterone injections before and after transfer and during pregnancy while it lasted. The IVF pregnancy was non-viable and am currently waiting for recurrent miscarriage blood test results before starting another IVF cycle. This time is another Freeze all but with PGS.

Dr. Nash is a very black and white type of person. There is not a lot of gray area and if there is something that you want, you will have to really push and advocate for yourself... I found he had zero compassion and most things he said went over my head. When I asked questions about the treatment I was made to feel inferior or like my questions were absurd. Dr. Nash also set expectations very low as to how well my treatment would work...
I just think the staff [at Repro Gyn] there was okay. Nobody really went out of the way to assist you and oftentimes I felt that I was a bother and putting the staff out...The office has claimed to have passed on results when they in fact haven't on numerous occasions. In addition, there were multiple times when they would argue with me that something wasn't a certain way and then would turn around a week or two and agree with me. It was very frustrating to feel like I was on a roller coaster of inconsistency.

While Dr. Nash came highly recommended to my from another physician, I was not happy with him. He was very matter of fact which some people may like and I found he had zero compassion and most things he said went over my head. Dr. Nash found that I had subclinical hypothyroidism and put me on synthroid. We decided to have a exploratory laproscopy prior to starting treatment and found I was already pregnant so it was canceled. Pregnancy turned out to be an ectopic and was conceived naturally but ended with the laproscopy anyway. Next we tried Femara with IUI with which turned out to be a chemical or early miscarriage. The office insisted I wasn't pregnant and pushed me straight into the next IUI but then had to cancel it because it turned out there was in fact hcg in my system and this was after starting the process. We left the clinic after that.
