She also performed many of my ultrasounds herself...Dr. Hock was concerned about my TSH levels overall, let alone for getting pregnant. She carefully monitored my Synthroid intake, and advised on throttling very closely. I felt very watched after for the best results.

They [RMA of New Jersey] are clean and organized, and their Artemis app is extremely useful to keep track of everything, including communications with the staff assigned to you upon becoming a patient. I could reach out to my doctor, nurse, and financial coordinator securely and it made my life so much easier. From the front desk to the phlebotomists, every person made you feel taken care of. This is not a negative, but more of a heads up to prospective patients: they are so tight at what they do, you will feel like you’re being thrown into the process quickly, and all I can say is I’ve also been with much slower paper pushing clinics and this made me nervous with RMA. It’s actually a positive to get you closer to where you want to be, but prepare mentally and emotionally for your first round with them because they will work quickly to get you on the right path!

She made me feel sure about transporting my frozen embryos over from Cooper Institute, who I only had a positive experience with. The only reason I wanted to transport from them was proximity, and she reassured me of their practices, stringent review process for the embryos, and utmost care for their patients during IVF cycles. I wouldn’t feel completely cared for doing another IVF cycle with her if I needed to, but thankfully I still have good embryos I’d like to use first.

My insurance covers most everything. Have a small copay for some meds. A couple compounded meds I had to pay out of pocket for but could get reimbursement. When I had IUIs only my ultrasound days required a co pay, in IVF cycle I only paid a co pay one time. Nurses do complementary education for PIO shots the first time. CCS testing was out of pocket and included 10 Embryos. More than ten was $125 each to test and then none of the cryo was covered. $1000 to freeze embryos, $300 every time a sprem sample was frozen.

We tried to use the embryos that were generated when I was with a previous doctor. However, after two failed transfers, we did a retreival with RMANJ and Dr. Hock believes that the egg quality will be better. I have also adjusted my diet for several months, which should help egg quality and will hopefully result in a successful transfer.

RMANJ believes strongly in single embryo transfer. There have been studies that show that the success rate is higher when only one embryo is transferred. Their theory is that the embryos compete for resources, so it's better to transfer one embryo at a time.

We did have to call multiple times to have them realize that paperwork had been provided by our previous doctor, but I think that was a miscommunication about how the paperwork from the previous doctor was laid out. They weren't familiar with the format of the information, so they didn't realize that they had it. It was a bit of a headache and required calls between both our previous doctor and RMANJ to get it sorted out with who had our information.

I had already had two successful ovulation induction cycles from when we lived in London, so Dr. Hock immediately went with the same approach. The first resulted in a chemical pregnancy. The second resulted in triplets who are five years old now! We were not prepared for the high chance of high order multiples from ovulation induction.

I felt that the primary nurse was cold and unfriendly. I would have preferred the option to switch nurses. She was not great at getting back to me and she was not very sensitive. I am quite sure that she is no longer there though.

During my first retrieval, my follicle growth was scattered which resulted in a lower number of mature eggs received. She also noticed that my body responded better to low dose HCG vs. Follistim. For my second and third retrievals (we want 3 kids so did embryo banking), we tried estrogen priming and higher doses of low dose HCG and the results were significantly better.
