He [Dr. Servy] is nice and seems knowledgeable. However he doesn’t give examples or suggestions for other options. He does not explain things in depth. Half way answers my questions. He also doesn’t look for all the answers or try to offer alternatives. Did not check on me at all after my miscarriage other than about a bill...Do your research because he will not offer you a lot of options. There are many test out there they do not consider and should do early on. Stay on him about finding the cause of your issues
They [staff at Servy Massey Fertility Institute] were not forthcoming with explanations other when explaining money expected. I felt like I had to pull information out of them about test results and issues I was having...They [nurses] are very nice. However they didn’t call me with lab results I had to constantly call or email them. They also didn’t offer suggestions on how to make taking meds or injections to be any easier on u.

First he suggested Ivf bc of my age and said I was a good candidate. When I wanted to try a less expensive route he seemed to just humor me. We tried an iui with femara and it didn’t take. I had two eggs and it just eneded up being Negative pregnancy. He kept pushing me to have surgery to adjust my uterus position which my ob gyn said she not cause any issues because I already have a child with my uterus was in that position. I finally gave in and had they surgery. Tried a few months naturally with clomid and femara. Didn’t work. Went back for 2nd iui and I pressed him about being more aggressive and adding injections with femara too. He agreed. This time I had two viable eggs and iui was a success but ended in miscarriage at 7 weeks. He offered me no explanation for why other than bad eggs. I asked for things to improve egg quality and he never would tell me anything. I have not returned bc they didn’t even check on me after miscarriage or call me to come back in for re-check or nothing. Looking for new doctor!

Outdated office, cleaning could be improved, and insurance lady needs to be a lot nicer! They could also try to make things less complicated for people to understand. Actually use the web portal they have for lab results and such. They are nice for the most part and try to be compassionate to their patients
Describe the costs associated with your care under Edouard Servy at Servy Institute for Reproductive Endocrinology (FKA Servy Massey Fertility Institute) (closed).
1200 per iui plus medications I had to order from somewhere else. 250$ ultrasounds for every ultrasound and 150 office visit. Labs were not done there but cost associated with the lab u did go to. He collected my full deductible of 1500$ up front before surgery. 20% coinsurance for the rest for surgery center. I’ve spent around 6000$ for nothing!

They know of different pharmacies that u can use to order injections but they don’t tell about it. They left me to research cheaper options on my own. Didn’t tell me that some drugs are just generic of others. Never call with lab results or order other test that could possibly give answers. They don’t follow up with u after surgery, an iui procedure or a miscarriage.

How was your experience with Edouard Servy at Servy Institute for Reproductive Endocrinology (FKA Servy Massey Fertility Institute) (closed)?
Dr. Servy is a realistic ivf physician who understands this process can be extremely hard physically, mentally and emotionally. He brings with him years of knowledge and experience which he uses to give you is personal suggestions about your treatment. You know he really cares because he keeps his rates as inexpensive as he can and understands gaps between cycles due to financial reasons. After our failed transfer he met with us for no cost for almost an hour just to make sure we understood what the future options and course would be.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Edouard Servy at Servy Institute for Reproductive Endocrinology (FKA Servy Massey Fertility Institute) (closed)?
Understand he truly cares for his patients even after he has completed their care.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Edouard Servy at Servy Institute for Reproductive Endocrinology (FKA Servy Massey Fertility Institute) (closed)?
I came to Dr. Servy's clinic after a very negative experience at Dr. Jordan's office. I was extremely discouraged with the whole ivf process but he took the time to really dive into my medical history as well as my husband's. We ended up finding out we both had mthfr mutations prior to our transfer. Although that didn't stop us from experience another miscarriage I believe it was a piece that will help in the future tries. After my last failed embryo transfer that lead to a chemical pregnancy, my only transfer with Servy so far, he met with me again and discussed our next steps. He was more then willing to meet with us every time we felt overwhelmed and discouraged, and was always very open and honest. He truly does this because he loves the field not for the money!
Describe the protocols Edouard Servy used in your cycles at Servy Institute for Reproductive Endocrinology (FKA Servy Massey Fertility Institute) (closed) and their degree of success.
Since I already had tested embryos that had resulted in a chemical pregnancy he started by running more test on my husband and I prior to another transfer. Testing revealed the need to change vitamins due to genetic mutation. Now after another chemical pregnancy we will be doing a uterine biopsy and a hcg trigger with the next frozen embryo transfer.

If you're looking for a high end fancy clinic this is not... BUT if you are looking for a doctor who treats you like a person who is struggling with ivf and needs help having a baby, then he's your guy! At my last clinic I felt like I was going into a jiffy lube for service at every appointment, it was degrading and almost broke my spirit to even try again. Dr. Servy does have a thick accent but doesn't mind repeating himself if you don't understand. The only thing he really wants from his patients is for you to bring your beautiful babies to see him after they are born. He is truly in the field for all the right reasons!
Describe the costs associated with your care under Edouard Servy at Servy Institute for Reproductive Endocrinology (FKA Servy Massey Fertility Institute) (closed).
Very reasonable. Same cost as Augusta University clinic which is next for and uses the same lab.
Describe Edouard Servy's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Servy Institute for Reproductive Endocrinology (FKA Servy Massey Fertility Institute) (closed).
Dr. Servy will do mult embryo transfer on untested embryos but only 1 with tested embryos. I think this is pretty standard.

[Dr. Edouard Servy is a] Very well experienced doctor. He's had lots of first time IVF success so he knows exactly what he's doing. He was spot on with my care...He was very [blunt] and straight forward. He also has compassion and knows this industry [like] the back of his hands...Already had 3 embryos when I went to this Fertility...multiple embryo transfer because 2 of my 3 embryos were stuck together and started hatching. So they could not be separated...
Strengths [of Servy Institute for Reproductive Endocrinology (FKA Servy Massey Fertility Institute)] is their communication. I would often a response back not just the next day, but within minutes alot of times. They are also fast and don't drag their feet. Their only weakness is that most communication was done through email...Liz muns did everything. That's how good she is...I didn't feel rushed and I felt like I had special treatment.

Change your diet to healthy one and fully detox your entire system before going to any Fertility Specialist. The doctor could ve the best but if you don't get your body prepared beforehand, you may not have good results. Natural herbal diets work wonders.

Already had 3 embryos when I went to this Fertility. So we prepared my uterine lining by taking birth control to time my cycle. Once he implanted 2 of my embryos, he gave me an easier protocol up until 11-12 weeks of just a daily estrogen pill and Progesterone in oil shot. Once pregnancy was confirmed and healthy, I checked in every few weeks until baby was born. After baby was born I sent him a picture.

We did multiple embryo transfer because 2 of my 3 embryos were stuck together and started hatching. So they could not be separated. I only ended up with a singleton pregnancy.

There have been a handful of times where I wasn’t given a ton of information at my visit [with Dr. Servy] and I left with a few questions but that’s no fault of his, I should have asked and i know he would have answered. I am 100% confident that he knows what’s best for me and that he plans my care to fit my needs...He does a lot of testing to rule out things in the beginning. He was quick to get all of this scheduled though. Bloodwork for both me and my spouse, and an HSG to rule out Fallopian tube issues. All were done within that first cycle so we were given the clear to start with my first treatment the following cycle.
All of the nurses at the clinic [Servy Massey Fertility Institute] have been so helpful. I tend to forget to ask things while at my visits but they provided me with email and are always so quick to answer. When my husband and I found out we were miscarrying the staff was so compassionate and gave us the time we needed in the exam room to process the news and were quick to give us hope for future cycles...Initial Consultation - $250...IUI Cycle -$1250...Strengths: easy to work with, opened up on closed days for my monitoring appointments if they feel on weekends. Compassionate and seem to genuinely care about you as a patient. Responds quick to email. Weaknesses: can be a bit difficult to get in touch with but will respond fairly quickly to voicemail messages.

Be sure to go in without the expectation that you will start a treatment plan that day. I went in on day 3 first my consult and thought maybe we will get to start a cycle today. This wasn’t the case (which I should have known). He does a lot of testing to rule out things in the beginning. He was quick to get all of this scheduled though. Bloodwork for both me and my spouse, and an HSG to rule out Fallopian tube issues. From the first day I went to Dr. Servys clinic I felt that they genuinely cared and wanted to help me in any way they could. Infertility and treatment is a grueling process on its own so having a Doctor and staff who seemed to care really made a difference.
Describe the protocols Edouard Servy used in your cycles at Servy Institute for Reproductive Endocrinology (FKA Servy Massey Fertility Institute) (closed) and their degree of success.
After my first consult, which happened to be Day 3, he sent me and my spouse both straight to the lab for bloodwork. He also scheduled an HSG right away to check for any tubal issues. He also scheduled a semen analysis for my spouse. He got a full history from my OB that we discussed in detail. Once we received results from the bloodwork and HSG and everything turned out good he talked to us about next steps and that he thought an IUI was the way to go. My first IUI cycle I went in for a monitoring appointment and he started me on Letrozole 2.5 mg for CD 3-5. I went in on CD 11 for another scan to see how my body was reacting to the Letrozole. He informed us that it was working but that we only had one follicle. I went in a couple of days later for another ultrasound and was given the go ahead to trigger that afternoon (10000 Pregnyl) and we would do the IUI not the next morning but the next. We went in for our IUI and he explained how it would work and what to do following the procedure. It was quick and I was sent home to rest. I tested 14 days later and it was negative. I called on cycle day one of my next cycle and was told to come back in on cycle day 3. I went for my ultrasound on cycle day three and everything looked good (no cysts). He switched up my protocol since I did not react to the Letrozole as well as he hoped. He switched me to 100 mg Clomid for cycle day 3-7 and also introduced Gonal F for CD 11-14. I went in CD 11 for a scan and things were progressing better than the prior month. I had multiple follicles measuring at least 10 mm. He had me start with Gonal F that evening. I went back in on CD 14 and had another scan. He gave me the go ahead to trigger (10000 Pregnyl) and we went in the following day for IUI number 2. I tested 14 days later and had a positive. They tested my HCG levels on day 15 post IUI and about every 4 days after. On my second draw, my Progesterone had decreased a bit so I was put on oral Prometrium. I had additional draws and then when I should have been 6 weeks we had our first scan which showed a sac and fetal pole but no heartbeat. He advised this could be too early so asked that I come in a week later for another scan. At this time I should have been 7 weeks but we had no heartbeat. Dr. Servy and his team were so helpful during this time for my husband and I and assured us that our next positive cycle we would have even more monitoring to ensure everything was progressing as should.

We went to his clinic for donor eggs and he [Dr. Servy] wanted us to try our own first because he felt he could help us. By that point we had already transferred 9 embryos with my own eggs so we knew we wanted to move forward with donor eggs... He is a great doctor. In my opinion he was very thorough and personable. We have only been to their clinic 3 times because we live in a different state but we have seen him all 3 times and he has always lived up to my expectations.
My IVF coordinator and I do all of our communication through email since I am out of state. I have to be proactive with her, but I think that is part of being away from the area and out of state. I never go to that clinic [Servy Massey Fertility] except for transfer so she does not see me regularly.... Overall my experience was good. I think I waited a little longer than I would’ve preferred to for the doctor to come in during my consultation and exam, but other than that my experience has been positive with the clinic and lab.

He’s very personalable. We went to his clinic for donor eggs and he wanted us to try our own first because he felt he could help us. He was very supportive of our choice and we used a known donor from outside their clinic which he was also very helpful with.
Describe the protocols Edouard Servy used in your cycles at Servy Institute for Reproductive Endocrinology (FKA Servy Massey Fertility Institute) (closed) and their degree of success.
I used donor eggs so my protocol was pretty simple; estrogen and progesterone were all I needed to use in order to receive the embryo. However I was very happy that he was conservative with my donors protocol. She only had 10 eggs retrieved which gave us 6 blasts to work with. I was happy he didn’t overstimulate her in hopes of getting tons of eggs. We had 1 live birth in 2017 and recently had a chemical pregnancy this past July. We are now in the midst of our 3rd cycle with Dr. Servy & I am confident that my protocol is right where it should be.

He [Dr. Servy] was very dry. No empathy. Felt rushed. Difficult to understand and didn’t answer questions well.... He practices anecdotal medicine.... His procedure to remove my uterine septum led to a great deal of scar tissue. He denied there was any scar tissue and instead suggested we do an IUI. We had never had problems getting pregnant up until this point. He didn’t listen to his patients. We switched doctors and were immediately diagnosed.
I was never told to start aspirin for my mthfr until I was 6 weeks into a pregnancy, even though they knew I had it for months. They [Servy Massy Fertility Inst- Augusta] didn’t even tell me I had mthfr until I was pregnant. They would not communicate results in a timely manner. They were unreachable by phone.... There are no nurses. They’re all medical assistants except for the one nurse practitioner who sees the patients for their ivf cycles.
How was your experience with Edouard Servy at Servy Institute for Reproductive Endocrinology (FKA Servy Massey Fertility Institute) (closed)?
He practices anecdotal medicine. He racked my uterus during laparoscopy/hysteroscopy because it was retroverted. He placed a bladder catheter in for 24 hours after my laparoscopy/hysteroscopy/hysteropexy. His procedure to remove my uterine septum led to a great deal of scar tissue. He denied there was any scar tissue and instead suggested we do an IUI. We had never had problems getting pregnant up until this point. He didn’t listen to his patients. We switched doctors and were immediately diagnosed.

Unorganized, lack of communication, extremely unhelpful. Gwen was very nice and knowledgeable, but she’s the only one. I never left an appointment where I wasn’t confused. I felt like I had to advocate for myself all of the time.

My insurance covered most of it except the IUI. The IUI was reasonably priced. About $1500.

He [Dr Edouard Servy] was very professional, he did have students for many of the visits, but he always checked to see if they could be there, he explained everything clearly, and used methods that I have not been able to find since being relocated for my husbands job (He is a fan of temp charting, as well as ultrasound frequently and other methods to monitor ovulation) He is so precise I even got to watch myself ovulate on an ultrasound one visit.
It took a while to get in [to Servy Massey], and for some appointments you waited a long time because it was packed, but it was so worth the journey...The nurses were compassionate and attentive...He [Dr Edouard Servy] was wonderful in all of our visits with him, he took the time to answer questions, not only for me but any of my friends who came with me when my husband was working, he was absolutely fantastic.

We were out of pocket, and it cost us much more than a couple years later when under my husbands insurance. Each cycle was about the same as purchasing the sperm for the cycle.

I found Dr Edouard Servy to be direct and kind, and I didn't mind that he did not seem sympathetic because it was good that he never seemed in a rush to other patients. He had a nice bed side manner and was open to any questions I had. ... He is French so ask questions if you don't understand his accent. ... My husband and I hoped for a fresh transfer but due to fear of hyperstimulation in Servy's view we were told we had to do a frozen transfer.
Horrible communicators from always receiving voicemails to never getting returned phone calls nor getting email replies. I would not recommend this clinic [Servy Massey Fertility Institute] because of this as during these treatments communication is very important. ... I was told conflicting things because doctor and nurses and not provided information after many persistent requesting. ... treated the patients as numbers - no care or concern and this is a very emotional tough time for these patients.

Dr. Servy was very straightforward with the procedures to come and what my body was / wasn’t doing. He made every effort to make sure that I was comfortable. Each time I address a concern you can definitely tell that he was listening and taking notes. He made it very clear that he want to do everything in his power to assist me in this trying process...The only drug that was used was preogestron to force a cycle
Everyone was very nice and gentle [at Servy Institute for Reproductive Endocrinology]...I wished that the clinic was a little bigger. Everyone was crowded in one area. It seems as though the office is limited with how many people can be in the office at 1 time. The bathroom is a very tight space...They were very compassionate and heartfelt in regards to my situation. It’s very emotional trying to have children. You definitely feel less than a woman when you can’t conceive your own. They were very straightforward with the process and what they believed was going on.

As a patient, Dr. Servy has always made me feel like he can fix my infertility and make my dreams of being a mother come true. I trust him. I drive 2.5 hours just to see him, there is another one of his facilities about 15 minutes from my home but I'd rather take that long drive to be under his care.
[Servy Massey's] Pro - everything. No matter when you want to start, if they feel like you're not medically ready, they will wait, rather than take your money. Con - the wait after you check in is pretty long sometimes... I had to hold off 2 months before I originally wanted to start because I had to take Methyl Folate, Chelated Zinc and BComplex after finding out that my body won't absorb folic acid. So I'm waiting to find out what meds I'll be taking for my Nov IVF.

Dr. Servy is very friendly. It is difficult to understand him sometimes, as he has a very thick accent. However, he always has the IVF Coordinator in the office to translate if needed. He is exceptionally busy so making an appointments with him are not always easy but he is very thorough when you get to see him...[he] was very straightforward and set realistic expectations
[nurse of Servy Institute for RE] Very pleasant bedside manner. The front desk is very responsive to all request. They made me and my husband feel very comfortable...Strengths - Responsive, friendly, kind, informative, knowledgeable, experienced and thorough. Majority of all insurance are taken. Weakness - Long wait times, One IVF Coordinator, insurance not accepted for fertility treatments (patient must cover the cost up front and file claim later).

Hes [Dr. Servy] was a great doctor, just hard to undestand at times an maybe could of laid it on us a little easier. He only gave me one option and it caught me by surprise, not only was i crushed from my news but then he throws all these prices on me and it was a very overwhelming experience...Write down questions you want to ask before you go to your appt.
We went for a consultation [at Servy Institute for Reproductive Endocrinology] and i think we paid around $300 but we already had all our analysis done...I only visited the clinic once. Strengths i would say they seem to know what they are talking about. Weakness maybe a little better translator. And a little better organization but for most part it seemed to be a great environment and friendly.

Dr Servy all his employees are excellent I don’t have any plans of leaving his care. I’m hoping I will be able to do one more treatment before I say I’m done. Dr Servy he’s very confident in doing IVF and not doing a UA again... He talk to you like a human and not like a child and he was very down to earth and explained every detail... Nursing staff very excellent and they always made you feel comfortable
I really don’t have any negative things to say about the office [Servy Massey Fertility Institute]. But they are wonderful group and very helpful and always answer every question that you have and would always make sure you have all the info you needed before you leave the office. I would recommend anybody... Nursing staff very excellent and they always made you feel comfortable and safe and comfort you when you needed it
