2021 - 2022, Successful
[Dr. Louden] was very positive and even texted to check up on me after my retrieval and transfer. She answered all my questions and I never felt rushed. When I finally got to meet her in person on transfer day it was like talking to a relative...I noticed that she used higher doses than my last clinic of follistim and menopur but the quality of my embryos were a lot better that round. For my transfer she pretty much had me on a antihistamine protocol: estrogen pills & patches, endo, PIO, prometrium, levenox, baby aspirin, claritin, and another prescribed antihistamine...
The clinic’s [Kindbody] strength is their Drs and the comfortable atmosphere whenever you need to go in for monitoring or a procedure. Their weaknesses absolutely has to be their billing practices. They request unexpected money last minute before procedures which causes you scramble so you don’t get your appointment canceled even though insurance verifies they’ll pay. I have even been balanced billed and had to double check with my insurance and let them know I’m not supposed to pay anything after the contracted rates. You have to pay attention and stay on your toes when it comes to their billing dept...
How was your experience with Erica Louden at Kindbody - Chicago (formerly Vios Fertility Institute)?
Dr. Louden was great I felt comfortable with her and she was very thorough in making sure everything was right before moving ahead with the next procedure and I appreciated that instead of being rushed and wasting time and money knowing things would not work.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Erica Louden at Kindbody - Chicago (formerly Vios Fertility Institute)?
I would definitely say speak up if you have any questions and definitely advocate for yourself. Even though Dr. Louden is a great communicator things may not get answered as quickly when going through the portal and the nurse so I would definitely stay on them and text her if it’s really urgent.

The nurses were ok. I didn’t have one particular nurse that I worked with but whenever I spoke to one I felt kinda rushed and they seemed a little irritated when asking questions.

Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Kindbody - Chicago (formerly Vios Fertility Institute).
Monitoring always went pretty smooth especially in the afternoons it’s usually pretty busy in the mornings.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Erica Louden at Kindbody - Chicago (formerly Vios Fertility Institute).
Insurance mostly picked up everything for me except for my transfer itself which I had to pay out of pocket for around 2700 minus monitoring. Be aware that prices do go up every year if your self pay.
Describe Erica Louden's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Kindbody - Chicago (formerly Vios Fertility Institute).
It was strongly recommended that I only transfer 1 embryo since I’ve had two children before and my only issue was blocked tubes. Since I had my tubes removed the fluid was no longer a threat and my chances for successful implantation was high
