I very much liked Dr. Reshef and felt that had my case been simpler, he would have been a great fit...felt as though he was hesitant to make changes to protocol after things did not go as expected...very good bedside manner and is a very kind, empathetic doctor...Antagonist protocols
[CCRM Fertility of Arizona] a beautiful state of the art clinic with a very boutique feel...staff is wonderful...not opened on weekends or holidays...they batch IVF cycles so very often you'll have to take birth control for just a few days to make your cycle line up with their timeline

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Evan Reshef at CCRM Fertility of Arizona?
Ask questions!
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Evan Reshef at CCRM Fertility of Arizona?
Dr. Reshef has a very good bedside manner and is a very kind, empathetic doctor. He did all of my scans and sat down to talk to me before and after my retrievals. He also personally called me personally multiple times throughout the process. There is definitely a level of communication with the doctors at ACFS/CCRM that is far different than bigger clinics.
Describe the protocols Evan Reshef used in your cycles at CCRM Fertility of Arizona and their degree of success.
Antagonist protocols with 75 Menopur and 225 Gonal F (later upped to 300 Gonal F). Used cetrotide as an antagonist. The only change between cycle 1 and 2 was the addition of omnitrope
Describe your experience with your nurse at CCRM Fertility of Arizona. (Assigned nurse: Ali)
The nursing staff was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, kind, and overall really great.
Describe your experience with CCRM Fertility of Arizona.
I very much liked the clinic overall, it's a beautiful state of the art clinic with a very boutique feel and the staff is wonderful. Biggest weakness (which to me is a big one) is that the clinic is not opened on weekends or holidays. Second biggest weakness is the fact that they batch IVF cycles so very often you'll have to take birth control for just a few days to make your cycle line up with their timeline.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Evan Reshef at CCRM Fertility of Arizona.
I had insurance coverage so this was not an issue
Describe Evan Reshef's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CCRM Fertility of Arizona.
Did not discuss but I believe the clinic generally prefers eSET
What specific things went wrong at CCRM Fertility of Arizona?
  • Provided conflicting information
Describe the specific things that went wrong at CCRM Fertility of Arizona.
There definitely was some conflicting information relayed, for example I was told we would be priming with estrogen and then later told I was not because my period start didn't line up with their batched cycle timing. Another issue was immediately following my retrieval I was told my eggs looked great and has no concerns about egg quality, and then when my embryos did not make it to blastocyst, the doctor told me actually my eggs looked like really bad quality and he thinks it was an egg quality issue
