Evan Rosenbluth

Dr. Rosenbluth: had great bedside manner. He was personable, took the time to understand my worries and listen to me over-explain my infertility history, and took the time to teach me and my husband everything we needed to know about my diagnosis and what type of options we had. And ultimately, you want to a doctor who knows what he/she is doing and has adopted industry best practices, and that, Dr. Rosenbluth/RSC embodies. We discussed statistics, the art of hormones levels/types, strategies of timing and different medications all to efficiently crack the code of my infertility. In each treatment we found out more and more about my body and how to create treatment plans around the gained knowledge. I’ve heard horror stories about other fertility doctors who don’t customize treatments to the patient’s body, are not up-to-date on the new best practices and are way too liberal with, for example, frozen egg supplies. That’s why is it super important to find a great doctor and clinic like Rosenbluth and RSC.

Didn't waste a lot of time (3-4 months) on letrozole/clomid as I wasn't getting pregnant and and it made my lining thin. We only tried one failed IUI, then during second IUI my body didn't develop follicles so we canceled the IUI. Rosenbluth let me decide to keep going with IUIs or go to IVF. I chose IVF and had a very successful egg retrieval with 20 follicles, 17 fertilized, and 8 made it to thru the blastocyst stage. We genetically tested the eggs and found that 5 were viable. My body really struggled growing a lining above 6.8- we tried, transdermal estrogen patches, oral estrogen, injectable estrogen, vaginal estrogen and also IVF injectable medications (just to grow my lining not for another retrieval). Ultimately the IVF medications got me over and 8mm lining, we transferred and it worked! In-between that exploration time with my lining had an ERA and prior to that, an HSG.

My fertility coverage covered each treatment at 80-90%.

RSC has a team-approach so your doctor is not necessarily the one that will be doing your diagnostics, retrievals, transfers, etc. In my case, Dr. Rosenbluth has not performed any of my "big procedures". Since I started seeing Dr. Rosenbluth 2.5 years ago, I have had 2 retrievals and multiple surgeries to remove scar tissue. I understood the team approach going in, and this was not a problem for my retrievals as they went relatively smooth without the need to change protocol. However, when my case got trickier and scar tissue was found, it has been become frustrating. As my doctor and the one primarily responsible for putting together my treatment plan, I look to Dr. Rosenbluth to make sense of the imagery from the various diagnostics and surgeries and explain what it means. On a few occasions he has been unable to do so saying he was not the one performing the procedures. I think he is cautious to not be overly optimistic and give false hope, but I would prefer he share his thoughts with the caveat that it's a gut response (if that's what it is). Without the feedback, it's difficult to gauge what our next steps should be in this process.

He is courteous but I found him to be a little aloof and distant. I don't feel I have a strong personal connection with him, so if that is very important to you I would consider another doctor. Make sure you stay on top of your own records and don't be afraid to question the doctor's directions if they are at odds with what you know about your own personal history.

For my first retrieval, I used birth control prior to stimulation drugs. I used 300IU of Gonal F and 150 IU of Menopur, then introduced Ganirelex. My trigger was a Lupron compound. I ended up with 20-21 eggs, 15 of which were mature. The Menopur stung a little bit, but the first retrieval went pretty smoothly. My second retrieval was 3 months later. For my second retrieval, they found a cyst during my baseline sonogram so I was given Ovidrel to ovulate it. Then I was given Estrace prior to taking the stim drugs. My dosages were the same as the first retrieval. I ended up with 17 eggs, 15 of which were mature.

I signed up for a package with Attain. It was a package that included 2 retrieval cycles and however many transfers needed to take home a baby or your money back for $22,500. If a cycle is cancelled or you require additional diagnostics outside of the routine ultrasounds, you pay out of pocket.

We were not interested in multiple transfers. Due to my age (38) we were pretty sure we wanted to do PGD/PGS and single transfer.

We were trying to conceive for more than 3 years with no luck. My husband is 42 and I’m 39, so it was a lot of pressure and feeling that time is running out. Doctor Rosenbluth was knowledgeable, professional, data-driven, result-oriented and supportive from day one of our IVF journey. He explains things well, always stays positive and truly cares about his patients. He also has a great sense of humor which helped a lot during not so easy times. I got pregnant with a healthy baby after very first frozen embryo transfer! It was unbelievable to see a positive pregnancy test when we almost gave up and lost hope. Thank you doctor Rosenbluth and your wonderful care team for not only giving us some hope, but also for an actual positive result, your professionalism and care throughout the process!

Trust the process. And be patient. Educate yourself on all aspects of your treatment - it helps to understand why certain decisions are made.

Single transfer is preferable.

Our consultation with Dr. Rosenbluth was via video, due to COVID, they were not doing in-person consultations. He reviewed our charts, explained the procedures, and answered every question. After our consult we were in touch with a case manager. The case manager is wonderful. She is the person we are in contact with most. Dr. Rosenbluth did not do my egg retrieval, another doctor at the clinic did, but they let us know up front that my doctor may not be the one to perform the retrieval. After my retrieval Dr. Rosenbluth showed genuine concern for my recovery and was delicate giving us news. He even called on the weekend to let us know the results. After an unsuccessful first round, he changed the protocol for the next round. He's been wonderful so far. He is a man of science, so he believes in the IVF process, not any holistic practices like acupuncture or supplements.

I would recommend Dr. Rosenbluth. Make a list of questions before each visit, he will answer all for you.

My first round was an antagonist protocol. I was on Estradiol for 2 weeks, then started Gonal F 300IU and Menopur 150IU. After 5 days I added in Ganirelix. I had 4 monitoring appointments throughout the process. I stimmed for 10 days, triggered on day 11 and had retrieval on day 12. Triggered with HCG 5k. Retireval resulted in 5 eggs retrieved, 3 were mature, 1 fertilized, but didn't make it to day 6 blast. Round 2 was a microdose lupron protocol to help with egg quality. I was on Estradiol for 2 weeks, then started Lupron 10 units twice per day for two days, on day 3 added Gonal F 300IU and Menopur 150IU. Adding Omnitrope soon and will trigger with HCG 5k.

There is a financial advisor you will meet with. They have a loan option, and they partner with Fertility Access to give cycle bundle discounts. Before our consultation we were advised IVF cost was approximately $15,814 and medications range from $3,000 - $6,000. They do take insurance.

My doctor prefers single embryo transfer, better outcomes for the baby and myself at my age.

Coming into this journey due to my age we thought it would be a simple case of a few IUI treatments and bam you're pregnant. After a few tests we discovered that I likely have PCOS so Dr.Rosenbluth spoke with me to discuss how that would change our process. Despite the setback I still felt very confident with the clinic and Dr.Rosenbluth's plan. After some extended genetic testing we discovered that I have an x-linked genetic condition. Dr. Rosenbluth spoke to me multiple times to help explain what that means and how it would change our plan going forward. I ended up having to switch over to an IVF treatment which Dr.Rosenbluth wanted to have a separate conversation about which was scheduled for a week(ish) later. Dr. Rosenbluth has been very helpful throughout this whole process. We have spoken once over Zoom and maybe four or five times over the phone to discuss my treatment. It has been a frustrating turn of events but I haven't doubted Dr.Rosenbluth's ability as a doctor once while it's been going on.

If you can, make sure you go into your appointments with a list of questions you would like answered. Doctors are so busy that being prepared for the appointment means that you can really make the most of your time. I would also be sure to ask (and take notes on) what next steps are and what the estimated timing will be. He definitely discusses this without prompting but making sure you write it down so that you have a plan after the chat is super helpful.

Evan Rosenbluth is the best doctor I ever met. He is very kind and supportive. Even with AMH 0.1 when I was so frustrated he told me that I still have a chance to get pregnant with my own egg and was absolutely right. I am so grateful that I met him, and my journey was so smooth and easy.

Just trust, ask questions, follow instructions, stay positive

I had 2 IUI cycles. one with clomid, one with letrosole. Both were not successful. Also I had one cancelled IUI with letrosole because of early ovulation. For IVF cycle I started with Estrace, was stimulated with Menopur, Gonal F 300. Also I took Lupron shots. The day before transfer I started taking Endometrin Vaginally and Estrace. With my AMH 0.1 we’ve got 4 follicles, doctor was able to retrieve 3 eggs, all of them were mature, 2 fertilized. One was transferred on day 5, and was resulted in pregnancy, second - was frozen on day 6

IUI around $1250, medication around $300 IVF with fresh transfer around $15k, medication around $4,5k, embryo freeze $1100

Ive got just 2 embryos, and second one was not ready for transfer on day 5

Dr. Rosenbluth is great. He listens and asks how you are doing emotionally. While we didn't spend too much time with him during appointments, he was sure to be the one to call after the egg retrieval as we went through the ups and downs. When we had near total fertilization failure with no genetically normal embryos, we made a follow up appointment and talked at length about next steps.

We did a lot of our own research and asked a lot of questions. I would definitely recommend other patients do the same as I'm not sure we would have gotten as much information from him if we hadn't been so engaged.

We turned to IVF after our second IUI cycle ended in an ectopic pregnancy and removal of the damaged tube. My numbers were good for my age (AMH 4.7 ng/mL; FSH was 5.6 mIU/mL) and my husband's sperm were also good (TMC 77). Given my numbers, Dr. Rosenbluth decided on a antagonist protocol with Luperon trigger to minimize the chance of ovarian hyperstimulation. We went with the recommended ICSI and "freeze all" cycle so that we could avoid some of the uncertainties associated with fertilization and so that we could do genetic screening (PGS) on the embryos. I ended up with an antral follicle count of over 30 and 24 mature eggs after retrieval, which was really high for my age. Unfortunately, my husband caught pneumonia right before the stimulation cycle. When we asked the cycle coordinator on our baseline exam whether it was a good idea to continue, she indicated that it should be fine as long as he did not have a fever on the day of retrieval. I asked again the day of our first stimulation injection if it was okay to continue given he had had a fever for the past week, and same answer: it should be fine as long as he does not have a fever on the day of retrieval. Well, on the day of retrieval, my husband's sperm were "not good" (TMC less than 1) per Dr. Rosenbluth. We ended up with only 3 of my 24 eggs fertilizing (compared to typical fertilization rate of ~75% with ICSI). Of the 2 embryos that made it to blastocyst stage, neither were genetically normal. ICSI should have solved the sperm issue but it didn't and we are left scratching our heads and likely going to freeze sperm for our next cycle.

The monitoring appointments went fairly well. I was glad to get the print out at the end of each appointment with the number and size of follicles. Some clinicians were better than others in terms of discomfort and explaining what they saw.

Full cycle from baseline ultrasound to retrieval with ICSI and freeze all was ~$16,100 to RSC. IVF stimulation meds were ~$4000. PGS lab fee was ~$2000. There were a number of appointments and bloodwork prior to the baseline exam that probably added up to another ~$1500 or so. All in all, the IVF cycle prep through embryo testing was less than $24,000. Frozen embryo transfer would have added ~$5000. Note that a lot of the diagnostic appointments including bloodwork are covered by health insurance and I was able to pay for a lot of it using an HSA.

It seemed that there was no question in Dr. Rosenbluth's mind that we would do the pre-implantation genetic screening (PGS) and a single embryo transfer. I believe this was the best approach for us despite the added cost (ICSI included in cycle, PGS lab fee ~$2000). Having gone through a miscarriage and an ectopic pregnancy, I liked the relative assurance provided by transferring a single, genetically normal embryo. I was less sure about ICSI given the slightly increased chance of birth defects but I decided to go with his recommendation because ICSI makes the blastocyst biopsy taken for genetic screening less prone to "contamination" from all the other sperm that may have otherwise "stuck" to the outside of the egg.

Dr. Rosenbluth immediately made us feel at ease by treating us like friends more than clients. We definitely didn’t feel like a number. He got excited when we were excited and sad when we were sad. He was honest and straightforward about the process, risks, and chances.

I can’t think of any really because the clinic held our hands through the entire process. Also, I want to mention that we are a lesbian couple and my wife was receiving the treatments. I took care of all the organizing and administering of meds, money, appointments, etc. Dr. R never for a second treated us like we were any different than any other couple wanting to start a family. So if you’re an LGBT couple this is the place for you.

We started with meds to stimulate the follicles, standard egg retrieval, we utilized genetic testing of our embryos and only 1 was viable so we only had an opportunity for 1 transfer. We took meds including progesterone in oil shots before and after the transfer.

The retrieval was around $16k, meds $5k, transfer $4k, meds $400.

We only had one embryo so, there ya go.

During our visits we got to meet Dr. Rosenbluth and discuss our treatment. He partners with another Dr. who we talk to more over the phone. But together they have made this process as stress free as it can be, and have been patient with us while we go at our own pace and make decisions.

Don’t hesitate to ask questions or state your concerns. Dr is very knowledgeable and will address all that you need without hesitation.

Our fertility treatment that was selected was IUI insemination. I believe this was selected for my partner and I because the consultation gave great fertility results for my partner. Dr discussed other options and gave honest and helpful recommendations for each before the me was decided on. We have not yet started our process but are excited to in the near future.

Payment has always been very straight forward. We received 50% off our consultation after attending a seminar hosted by RSC. And we were quoted just a bit under $900 for our fertility treatment we selected not including costs of donor sperm. Blood work and other required testing was offered to us at a reasonable price and recommendations for cost efficient labs were offered.

We are not using an embryo transfer.

Dr. Rosenbluth was caring, compassionate, and a clear communicator. When our cycle was in jeopardy of being cancelled he made himself available to answer our questions and talk through potential options. Because Dr. Rosenbluth does this everyday sometimes I think he (and other providers) can forget that we've never done before and don't always know what to ask. We are relying on them to tell us what we need to know and consider.

Be prepared not to see or hear from him very often. You spend a lot more time communicating with your nurse case managers and others. Make sure you come with lots of questions.

Dr. Rosenbluth prefers to do single embryo transfer. We haven't had any to transfer yet but when we do, I believe he will advocate for one at a time.

I appreciate that the Dr was very candid about my chances but I felt that the Dr/Clinic should continue to try and work with their client and not immediately push for the "sure" thing (i.e. egg donors). The Dr was helpful in explaining the IVF process, statistics, and possible expectations but ultimately I felt that the Dr/Clinic was discouraging me from continuing with my own eggs because they felt I would end up with the same outcome as my first which ended in no viable embryos.

He is a good Dr and very forthright with information and responsive. I believe that if you are an older patient and still looking to use your own eggs that you would be better off going to another clinic.

My treatment protocol was as follows: Prenatal vitamin daily Cetrotide (Antagonist 0.25 mg) FSH (Gonal F) 300 units Menopur 150 units Trigger: Lupron 4 mg I did not have any adverse reactions to the medications other than the expected bloating.

The cost of my treatment was approximately: $15,900.00 for RSC services and approximately $2000.00 in medication.

My embryos did not make it to Day 3 for a fresh transfer.

Dr. Rosenbluth is smart, attentive, friendly, warm, honest, and focused on the best outcomes each step of the way. He never seemed rushed when we had time together and had a good sense of humor. I appreciated that he seemed engaged in my treatment from start to finish, communicating next steps and any adjustments through the treatment team. He was sensitive to the stress and emotional aspects of treatment.

Ask lots of questions, he will review the hows and whys of your treatment recommendations or challenges until you are comfortable.

We followed a typical protocol for egg retrieval (injectables). We were planning on doing a fresh transfer, but had to freeze all embryos and wait to do a FET on the next cycle because my progesterone levels were off. For the FET we delayed the transfer by one week to get my lining up to par and had success with our first transfer.

IVF with ICSI ~ $12k FET ~$4k Meds $3-5k

He strongly recommended eSET due to my age, male factor diagnosis, and the difficulties of multiples in pregnancy.

Dr. Rosenbluth had a caring demeanor and listened to my concerns. He was very serious, but he didn’t hesitate to share his personal experiences which helped me feel reassured that he understood how I felt.

Don’t be afraid to ask a lot of questions and speak up because Dr. Rosenbluth is a good listener and is open to hearing your concerns.

Due to our schedule and cost concerns, and lack of other complicating factors, Dr. Rosenbluth recommended a conservative approach to start and we first tried an unmonitored cycle of letrozole. It worked the first time and we didn’t have to spend a ton of time or money on monitoring that we would have otherwise had to spend. He was also flexible with our travel plans.

The consultation, HSG, and cycle were all expensive but the clinic helped us find the cheapest options.

Dr Rosenbluth is a great person, he has really great bedside manner and really treats you as a person and not just another dollar sign as we have seen with other clinics. His tone during discussions is great and he keeps it real when deciding next steps. And even when we believe we would like to extend shots or produce more eggs for better chances he adjust the treatment to give us what we would like and doesn't fight back but gives all the possibilities and outcomes. And he hasn't pressured us into IVF after each fail.

He is very busy and highly sought out so don't fear if he is unable to do all your procedures.

First was pills with no injectables which resulted in little growth. Then we moved to pills and injectables which lead to a positive result but ended in miscarriage, then another treatment with injectables which was extended out becasue of test needed which resulted in 1 very large egg but a negative test, then another round with injectables at a lower dosage to get more eggs which resulted in a low positive that we thought was chemical but started to double but ended in a miscarriage.

Our first cycle was a-la-cart but after packages were created which was the communication issue we had. I believe we have spent over 10k with treatments and meds.

Dr. Rosenbluth is good at what he does. He can be warm in his delivery of not so good news, but I like that he is always willing to discuss next steps if the outcome isn't what we had hoped for. I'll be honest, I wasn't the biggest fan after our initial consultation, but he grew on me. I feel that he has a genuine interest in our success and I appreciate that a lot.

He talks pretty fast so make sure you ask questions if you don't understand something.

During our first cycle of injectables with IUI, I was started on a low dosage of medicine because he didn't want to overstimulate too many of my follicles. It took a while for me to respond so we ended up increasing the dose. I ended up with OHSS by the end of the cycle, but I got pregnant and that was all that mattered to me. I ended up miscarrying at 6 weeks so on the next cycle, we did not increase the injections nearly as much so as to avoid another OHSS situation. I didn't get pregnant but Dr. Rosenbluth said it was a better controlled cycle so he advised we try that again. The third cycle we did the same thing with the injectables and I got pregnant. Unfortunately, I am miscarrying again but the fact that I got pregnant again was somewhat good news, That first cycle was more of a trial and error IMO and we learned what my body could and could not handle.

Dr Rosenbluth met us on our first appointment and from the get go got down to business, he knew our history and information which I appreciated- he did his homework before we arrived. He spoke easily and made it all understandable, not confusing doctor talk. He made us feel comfortable to ask questions and reviewed anything we asked over again. He has also called me a number of times to discuss outcomes and treatment changes which has been really personal and greatly appreciated. He never seems rushed or wanting to move to the next person.

Go to your appointments with questions and ask anything you are confused about- he is happy to answer them and obviously knows what he is doing. His end goal is to help you and it’s very obvious he’s a wonderful person.

We haven’t delved into the actual treatments yet but I have a very detailed calendar and plan laid out which I appreciate. I know Dr Rosenbluth will be very communicative throughout the whole process.

Some costs were upfront: $250 for initial visit, and $590-700 for other visits and sonograms/tests. All reasonable fees. They use Natera for genetic testing and you don’t pay till after and receive a significant discount for being an RSC patient. They also have financial a resource officer on site in the office.

I appreciate that Dr Rosenbluth and RSC are honest about not doing multiple transfers due to the heightened pregnancy risks. They care that we take one baby home and have high standards of practice.

Dr. Rosenbluth was welcoming and detailed in his explanations. He quickly put us at ease and made us feel as if we could trust him to navigate the procedures, testing, etc. We met with him during our initial consultation and ultrasound. I had my testing (blood work, HSG) at different facilities due to insurance coverage (blood work) and scheduling (HSG), but Dr. Rosenbluth followed up with me personally with the results of my testing and conferred with the other doctors at the clinic regarding my HSG results. We will soon be undergoing the remainder of treatment (MESA/TESE, IVF, ICSI, PGS, FET) and I'm very confident in the remaining care I'll receive from Dr. Rosenbluth and RSC.

Trust his knowledge, experience and suggestions. Know that he is giving you the best and worse case scenario and that he has your best interests in mind.

I have yet to undergo treatment and protocols with Dr. Rosenbluth. I had an initial consultation with him and an ultrasound to count the number of follicles and determine ovarian reserve, as that would help determine whether I was a viable candidate and potential success of treatment. He was pleasantly surprised by the number of follicles present (high for my age) which was followed by positive results from blood work, suggesting a normal to high ovarian reserve. He suggested an HSG because he saw a small paratubal cyst on the ultrasound, and wanted to confirm its diagnosis. Because my partner previously had a vasectomy many years ago, we knew he would need to undergo MESA/TESE, and we decided to have the procedure done at RSC rather than with his current urologist because we felt very comfortable and confident with Dr. Rosenbluth and RSC. Following his procedure, planned protocol/treatment is IVF, ICSI, PGS (because of my age), and FET. I have not been given an exact list of medications yet, just a probable list to contact my insurance company with.

The majority of my treatment will be covered by my insurance. The exceptions are MESA/TESE ($2935), PGS ($2300, plus $1750-3000 due to the genetic testing lab directly). My medications are also covered by my insurance.

We have not discussed the number of embryos to transfer yet, it is dependent on the number of eggs they're able to retrieve, number of embryos created, and results of PGS. I know that Dr. Rosenbluth is very supportive of eSET, however, my age may make a determination for multiple embryo transfer. I trust Dr. Rosenbluth to suggest the best option in my circumstance.

He genuinely cares about each patient and wants to help them reach their fertility goals. I think he could do an even better job with mapping out all the different aspects and requirements of the entire procedures, or have someone else (a case manager) meet with the patients right after meeting with him to explain the ebb and flow.

When you don't understand something or you are concerned about something, let him or the staff know. If you are not satisfied with how your case is being or was handled tell him-he genuinely wants to make his practice better.

We decided to do 2 back to back cycles first with a lot of meds and see if we got any eggs or how many and then do a second one if we got none or some with a lower dosage of meds. Unfortunately, I did not react well to either cycle and stopped before the retrieval as I would not have gotten more than one egg.

14,000 for general IVF cycle with the addition of medications and PGD testing from lab. As I mentioned before, there was an option to pay through a special program that I believe makes it more affordable for many. However, because our chances were so low for success we decided to pay directly to the clinic as they promised to refund us any money we did not use.

I would never recommend Dr. Rosenbluth due to his lack of empathy, demeaning manner, and annoyance toward questions. His only goal is to preserve the statistics of the clinic rather than help women achieve their fertility goals.

Do not select this doctor if given a choice and avoid this clinic if you are an older patient.

The doctor did not wish to attempt treatment strategies and no one from his office followed up to questions regarding protocols or treatments.

Cost was 100% out of pocket. I was quoted $275 for the 1-hour initial consultation and exam, but was charged $435. 2 and 2 (4 tries) was $18,200 paid up front. Injections/Medication was $2,000.

Strengths: compassionate, good communicator, good bedside manner, experienced Weaknesses: Some routine care and procedures at this clinic are taken on by the other doctors, not just your doctor. For example, my doctor did not do my egg retrieval. However, this is done in part to ensure that each doctor is working on their strongest procedures and helps with the on-call process. Not really a weakness, unless you want your doctor to be doing every procedure.

Double check everything when it comes to dosages and meds with your case manager. Especially when they are altered or changed mid cycle. In doubt... call! I had a small miscommunication with my case manager (not the doctor), and it put my cycle in jeopardy. Luckily everything worked out. You can't be too careful with this sort of investment!

Fairly standard protocol, no agonists. Did use birth control for 1-2 weeks prior to starting stims. Had plans to freeze any resulting blastocysts, so our goal was to stimulate with the hopes of getting as many eggs as possible (Menopur, Gonal-F were used, cetrotide and lupron trigger). ICSI used for fertilization (28 of 33 fertilized). All resulting day 5/6 blasts (12) were biopsied for PGS at day 5/6 and frozen the same day. Transfer - drugs, estrace and PIO. Single embryo transferred, resulting in singleton pregnancy.

I owed 10% co-insurance on all related procedures. I don't remember exact costs, but they were ultimately around $1500-$2000 all in, plus $4000 for PGS (with another company)

He's a nice person and a good communicator, but he wasn't paying attention to my health and medications prior to my donor egg embryo transfer, which likely caused it to be unsuccessful. For example, he neglected to inform me that I shouldn't be taking antihistamines prior to my transfer until I asked during my actual transfer. Too late. He and my case manager neglected to pay attention to the fact that my allergies were flared up to the point that steroids were needed to treat them. I never should have moved forward with my first FET, which proved unsuccessful. The success rate for a PGD tested donor embryo is 70%, according to the clinic and genetic testing company.

He's a good doctor, but the nature of the business is that you need to be the squeaky wheel in order for the doctor or other staff to pay attention to you and your case. Otherwise, expect for things to fall through the cracks and mistakes to happen. Especially speak up if your case manger is not returning your calls or emails in a timely manner.

My egg donor was given a straightforward protocol of Menopur, Follistim and Gonal F. 27 eggs were retrieved, 21 were mature. 15 eggs were fertilized, 6 were frozen. Out of the 15 eggs, 7 made it to Day 5 or 6 for PGD testing. Out of the 7 embryos, 5 were normal.

They were lower than rates at UCSF. I know that from a friend who also did donor egg with PGD testing. Though my costly could have been lower since my egg donor was a friend of mine and I didn't have to pay an agency fee.

He recommended transferring one embryo only, which I agreed with since they were PGD tested.

He is thorough. He's been involved in a lot if research and it shows. He can clearly explain things and is frustrated (in a productive way) when he doesn't know why results are a certain why he didn't expect. When my case became more complicated he asked other doctors at a major conference for insight (to clarify, this was because it was so rare, not an indication that he isn't knowledgeable. I was impressed and appreciative that he went and did this on his own, after asking my permission). I was feeling very defeated after our third loss (again, first under his care) I told him I was scared this was never going to happen for us, and he told me he didn't think we were there yet and that he would tell me if we were. He was right. He handled curveballs very well and whenever we cycle again, he will be managing my care.

Tell him what you want. Explain your concerns and ask questions, because he will answer.

Antagonist protocol (downreg with birth control, follistim, menopur, ganirelex, baby aspirin, antibiotics before ER, Valium before transfer for fresh cycle. Estradiol, Endometrin/pio (added pio during bleeding episodes in first trimester). 11 retrieved, 9 mature, 1 day 5 blast transferred, 6 day 6 blasts frozen. Day 5 blast resulted in a miscarriage, transferred 2 frozen embryos several months later, resulting in a singleton live birth.

Meds were approximately 4 grand for the fresh cycle. IVF (including ICSI, freezing, retrieval, transfer) was about 13 grand. Frozen transfer was 3 grand, I don't remember the Meds.

Dr Rosenbluth is knowledgable, kind, and compassionate without making feeling delicate. He is straight forward and wants to educate and help his patients. He has a fabulous sense of humor and this helped me moving through some tense moments.

Be honest about what you want/need and he will be honest about what will help get you there.

Having endometriosis I opted to use donor eggs. My husband was still unsure of moving forward with this but Dr Rosenbluth agreed this would be the best, most productive, course of treatment. Choosing a donor has been a long process and he and his team have been most helpful.

As with anything go associated with fertility, this is expensive. Billing is handled quickly and we did not have any issues

Due to my age, and history of losses, we are planning single transfer

Dr. Rosenbluth really knows how to talk to his patients. I felt he had an emotional bond to our results of our IVF. He was able to describe our situation so that we would be able to understand what was going on and what our aim should be.

I would tel them to ask questions! He will not put you down or make you feel foolish. Remember it’s for your dream of having a family!

Constant hormone testing. Hormone injections twice a day. Timing was very important.

Medications approximately $3,000 per cycle. IVF with egg donor approximately $10,000. IVF with our own embryos approximately $12,000.

Dr. Rosenbluth explained to us the challenges and risks of transferring multiple embryos opposed to single transfer.

Dr. Rosenbluth was very clear with me from the beginning, that due to my age, I had very low chances of success. And due to my age and ovarian reserve, he was not willing to do an IVF cycle unless I used a donor egg. After consulting with Dr. Rosenbluth, I got pregnant naturally, only to find out it was an ectopic pregnancy. Even though Dr. Rosenbluth did not agree to IVF with my own eggs, he agreed to let me try two cycles of IUI with him.

Dr. Rosenbluth may seem blunt at times and can get technical with his explanations, don't be afraid to ask him for clarification.
