I would have like to have her been more involved in the treatments. There wasn't a lot of involvement with her after the initial interview. She was nice and knowledgeable in the interview, and answered questions I had.

I had to pay out of pocket for most of the treatment. My health insurance would only give a discount. I had to pay about 200 per shot.

Very informative with the information and explained everything throughly.. madecgreat suggestion and what else needed to be done. Asked if we had any questions or thoughts. Told us what our next treatment should be.

Dr. Whitman-Elia was knowledgeable and had a great bedside manner. Even when we were confused about what was happening during a visit, she would take the time to explain why certain things were happening. For example, our surrogate and I are very good friends. The first thing that happened at most visits is that they would place us in separate rooms. This bothered us, however Dr. Whitman-Elia explained that gave her a chance to assess the situation while upholding patient confidentiality. While we may not have liked it at first, she was taking precautions to keep us all safe.

Listen to her and do what she says!

I do not remember the exact protocol used. I can tell you she used treatments of estrogen orally and injection. It was a 60 day treatment course prior to embryo transfer. She used donor eggs and both mine and my husband's sperm to create embryos. She then implanted one embryo fertilized by my husband and one embryo fertilized by me. Both embryos attached and we now have twins girls. They were born 9 weeks premature due to the fact that they were big babies and had no more room to grow in our surrogate's uterus.

Ballpark of 4 to 5 thousand dollars was paid to the clinic.

She did talk to us about the pros and cons. She understood that we had our hearts set on trying for twins. Being that we are a homosexual male couple, we were trying to create a pregnancy that had us both involved.

I felt like Dr. Whitman was very experienced doctor who's very knowledgeable. She is very compassionate and personable. The only thing I did agree with is the fact she did not perform the procedures and was not present at those times either. Different nurses performed all three of my IUI procedures.

Tell her everything you have struggled with concerning your fertility and make sure they test your partner for issues as well from the beginning to rule out if they have fertility issues. My partner is almost 10 years younger than me and they assumed I had the issues because of my age, but it turned out he has a major issue that could affect us getting pregnant even with assistance.

I took Letrozole and gonadotropins for 3 rounds of IUI.

Summary of costs with medications for 3 IUI's and consultation was approximately $3,000.

Overall my experience was and still is amazing. I look forward to continuing treatment with her until we get the results we're looking for.

The treatment plans all started after thoroughly testing and examining me.

Per my insurance, this doctor and facility are considered specialists therefore they were more expensive than a regular doctor. Costs are a little high considering the circumstances of already going through an emotional and difficult situation.

We have not tried any of these yet but we did discuss them and her plans seem well thought out.

I was extremely pleased with my care. Dr Whitman-Elia was very compassionate and you could tel she was invested in her patients. She took the time to get to know me and would ask how work and my other children were doing. I always felt very comfortable in her care and never second guessed anything that she suggested.

Make sure you go in with a list of questions to ask. She tends to almost overwhelm you with information but that is because she wants you to have all of the information available. I always took a notepad and would jot down notes from my appointments and any questions that I came up with.

My very first cycle was a fresh cycle. I was on follistim, ganerelix, triggered with a low dose HcG. We ended up with 8 day 3 embryos. 2 arrested and failed to grow. We transferred 2 and froze 4. We got a negative that cycle. As soon as I started my period we started all baseline blood work and did a transfer trial that included a endometrial scratch, lots and lots of estrogen patches, and PIO shots. On the day of transfer we thawed 2 embryos that didn’t survive so we thawed the last 2 and I got pregnant with my now 4 year old son. Fast forward 2 years later we were ready for #2. The office had changed some protocols and now only suggested doing a freeze all cycle and only transferring 5 day embryos. We stuck with the same protocol as the first cycle follistim, ganerelix. We were able to retreive 13 embryos, 8 fertilized and 7 survived to day 5 embryos. We froze all 7 embryos and again as soon as my period came did baseline blood work, trial transfer with embryo scratch, estrogen patches, and PIO. We thawed 2 and they both survived. I have my almost 2 year old son from that cycle. In Nov of 2018 we decided to try again for #3. The Fertility Clinic I started with was called Advanced Fertility but when we started trying for #3 the clinic had been bought by PREG. Luckily Dr Whitman-Elia was still there. PREG had success with different protocols. So we started with initial blood work and baseline ultrasounds. Instead of estrogen patches I was taking oral estrogen as well as vaginal estrogen, there was no endometrial scratch this cycle, and I started PIO 5 days before transfer. We thawed 2 embryos and they both survived the thaw leaving us with 3 left in the freezer. I am currently 17 weeks with baby #3.

Our first 3 cycles were covered under my husbands insurance. He was a state employee and benefits covered 3 transfers at 70%. We paid more for medication than anything. I know with our first fresh cycle we paid $4,200 just for medication and our next retrevial cycle it was 5,000. Our last frozen cycle we were out of pocket minus some of the baseline testing that was covered under insurance. We paid almost 10,000

My doctor suggested eSET as we are younger and I am in good health. We have only had success with transferring 2 embryos so we declined single embryo transfer. We were well aware of the risk of multiples and we were willing to accept that risk.

Dr. Whitman-Elia was very knowledgeable about my condition and what I needed to have done. She gave us options and made us feel hopeful. I only wished that she had done my IUI instead of the nurse or whomever did it. Reason being, the individual had a very hard time getting the sperm inserted and it was very painful. Another doctor ended up doing the procedure but I don't really feel as if it was a successful IUI. I don't think the sperm was inserted where it needed to be.

Just be honest with her and she'll be honest with you.

Drugs to start my cycle on it's own but I never had the opportunity to try it because my cycle started on it's own. I did the injections to produce bigger follicles and it helped a lot.

My insurance covered a portion but not all so there were times we paid out of pocket, especially for the meds.

Dr. Whitman is very kind. I was a lot to handle and she handled me well. I was a bit of a different situation and Dr. Whitman tried very hard to keep me positive and moving forward! She is very knowledgeable and informative. The only suggestion I’d have is to remember that your patients don’t do this stuff everyday even though you do. So trying to really break things down and simplify them for better understanding would be great.

Ask a lot of questions. Do not leave with not knowing what it is you need or want to know...dr Whitman is very good at what she does however if you don’t ask questions I think details that you may want to know get overlooked.

We did do it eggs but my husbands sperm. I had an exam and blood work. We did one transfer with no success then tried again with a miscarriage. At that point dr Whitman suggested the ERA biopsy which ultimately is what made the difference and I was able to get pregnant and carry full term. I wish the ERA biopsy could be done to begin with because then I may still have the option to try again with leftover embryos. By the time we were pregnant we had used everything we had.

I paid $22,500 upfront then paid for all of my medications and I cannot remember after that but want to say overall I spent upwards of about $50,000 with medications and testing

Dr Whitman is so compassionate and truly cares about her patients and their needs. We have trusted her over the years and would recommend her to anyone! Her heart is truly in it! She has excellent bedside manner and respects each individual. She answers questions thoroughly and makes sure patients understand what is to be expected. Of all the doctors at PREG, I wish to see her each time.

Just be patient, take a deep breath, and keep your faith!

I was on birth control for about 3 weeks to a month, then progesterone tablets and injections for the egg retrieval. They retrieved 8 eggs and performed ICSI. They then transferred 2 embryos on day 3 and 11 long days later, I got a positive HCG blood test!

$30,000 for our first transfer and another $23,000 for our second FAILED embryo transfer.

Dr Whitman decided to do 2 embryo transfer and only one embryo survived and made it to a healthy full term precious baby girl. All of my other embryos died at that time also, so I’m thankful she did multiple embryo transfer. I was hopeful it would be twins. We are planning to do this again this Fall and I would be fine it were twins this time!

I was afraid at first but Dr.Gail told me there nothing wrong with me and I wil have a child. She cared about my situation and told me not to worry which took a load of stress off of me. She started me on meds right away and told me not to give up

Don’t give up. She will make sure you’re comfortable and find a a way to help you get pregnant. She is amazing and will give you a piece of mind by the time the appt is over with

My insurance covered most of it so I was billed the remaining balance which me and my husband went in our savings to pay so we can continue seeking fertility help

I was very pleased with the overall experience, when we had failure with procedures Dr. Whitman-Elia and her staff showed the compassion we needed. They answered every question and helped navigate the next process. Whenever we hit a roadblock medically, emotionally, or financially someone was willing to help.

After the second round of IVF and we had a blighted ovum we came to the table and discussed every aspect of the protocol. Dr. Whitman-elia suggested I have some genetic testing and after the results were back we changed the protocol, used a different sperm donor. The stimulation medication was adjusted and we focused on quality not quantity.

The first couple of visits at the clinic were out of pocket and money was never an issue. The last round of IVF was covered by insurance.

She is incredible about communicating and following up on emotions as well as health. I would recommend her to anyone. She continues to give us hope while explaining chances of pregnancy, health risks, lifestyle changes, etc. every interaction with Dr. Whitman makes my husband and I more and more excited to be parents and we understand our own bodies more now because of the time and dedication of Dr. Whitman

Communicated well, explained fertility procedures and expectations. Tried different approaches and gave it time. She was professional and dedicated. She had years of experience and took her time to explain every step. She did blood work and explained all the results. She also knew my previous doctor and we commented on past treatments. She explained to me the medications that I was going to be prescribed, the dose she recommended and Why and what to look for in each cycle day.

Letrozole 5 mg cd3-7 and gonal f 75 units cd8,9,10. Scan on cd 10 then ovidrel to induce ovulation. With time intercourse. We also tried 7.5 mg of letrozole and 150 units of gonal f. With time intercourses anb 4 cycles with iui.

Dr Whitman put me on a vitamin and supplement enrichment diet/regimen, that no doctor before her ever offered. And with that my body healed from the inside out and resulted in a successful iui.

The cost for care has been fairly reasonable.

She was very understanding that I was pregnant with conjoined twins. The nurse was compassionate but I didn't get to see the doctor that often. I took my entire savings to go through the process on a hope and a prayer.

I came in taking Clomid and timed sex for about 6 months. The next step was using a injection to help ovulation. I would come in an get an ultrasound and blood work often. My husband got his sperm checked as well

I only seen Mrs Whitman once since starting treatment but the first time she was nice and concern about my well-being before starting treatment because I am a transplant patient.she was very altertive and paid close attention to my treatment and started treatment with my pcos.

Dr. Whitman-Elia was a great caring doctor. I had a wonderful experience with her. She put all my nervousness and worries aside and made sure I felt comfortable and hopeful about all my procedures. She showed real passion for her patients and her job. She made you feel like everything was going to be alright. She explained everything that was going on to where you would not be nervous or wonder whats next. If there was a problem she would come up with something else to try until we felt right. She is a very good doctor.

She is a great doctor who takes pride and passion in what she does. She changes a lot of lives by helping us get a blessings. I had a great experience at her clinic.My life changed when I thought that I couldn't get pregnant and it happened even though I had a ectopic pregnancy but just knowing I could get pregnant was amazing.

She does a great jobs to make people happy no matter what she loves her job.

I received a clomid shot not sure on the cost and lab work but it was worth it.

Unfortunately I had a second ectopic pregnancy so I will never know what it's like and I always wanted to have a baby of my own and now my only option is IVF and the money is my only down fall.

I felt like she came across with no sense of urgency. I was left with a lot of questions but I’m not sure if this was because I didn’t understand everything being my first time visiting a doctor like this or her approach. I also feel like she saw my age and said it wasn’t me, she checked my tubes but got no other information from me, before getting one specimen from my husband and then saying it was him.

Do some research on everything and have questions ready.

She stated the problem was my husband with a low sperm count and put him on a bunch of multi vitamins.

It was not expensive I think to have my tubes tested it was about $80 and $20 for my husbands specimen sample. Other than that we only saw her for a free consultation.

I thought I would be overwhelmed during my first visit but Dr. Whitman-Elia made me feel comfortable. She has a very warm, compassionate, and kind spirit. She’s very informative and explained every detail about my diagnosis. She took her time to explain my options and procedures as well.

Ask the necessary questions because she’s very informative about infertility and what options are best for you.
