How was your experience with Hugh Taylor at Yale University?
In my view, a true doctor is a savior before anything else. He/she should be compassionate, empathetic, unselfish, and curious. These are qualities I learnt about Dr Taylor after I sent him the first email. After my second miscarriage, I was in great despair and grieving. I spent hours and hours on the internet searching for answer from browsing publications, findings of latest research, and ongoing studies on pregnancy loss. I stopped one day until I found Dr Taylor. I shoot him the first email after I read his latest research in this field, he immediately responded me and offered me his sympathy and insight. That initial connection sparked my hope. For unexpected reason, I was unable to travel to meet Dr Taylor in person for my first consultation. When I was so frustrated, Dr Taylor offered me an informal consultation. He and another fellow doctor reviewed my history thoroughly and asked questions in details. He recommended me to start IVF treatment immediately due to my age. I was grateful for his precious time. It is a big contrast from some commercial clinic I had contact with. When I planned to start IVF treatment but I found I got pregnant again. I notified Dr Taylor, I could tell his excitement about this news. He continued to providing me with professional advice during my early pregnancy which I am highly appreciated. Every time I sent him the lab values for interpretation, he responded me immediately with positive comment. This gives me a lot of insurance and comfort especially when some of values are higher than normal range. I hope I will be under his care throughout my first trimester. For any women similar to my situation, trust me. Dr Taylor is the best person you should work with. He understands your suffering. He cares about you and he will do all he can to help you achieve your goal. Just like once he told me, "I never want to give up on any pregnancy." He is a warrior and pioneer thinker.
