Dr. Shah did everything he could to make an incredibly difficult journey just a little bit easier. I looked forward to every visit because I knew his calm and gentle presence would make me feel better about things, even on the hardest days. His bedside manners are absolutely unmatched and I will forever be grateful for the patience and compassion he showed me. I have a specific memory of Dr. Shah calling me several days after our Embryo Transfer. I missed the call and he left a voicemail. As if I wasn't emotional enough with all the hormones, the words he used and the kindness in his voice will stay with me forever. I look forward to going back to his office in a few years for our next transfer.

It is ok to be nervous, excited, scared, and every emotion in between. But... allow yourself to be vulnerable and trust Dr. Shah. While his made focus is infertility, he helped me through lots of mental health bouts, whether he realized it or not. Don't be timid in opening up to him and letting him know how you're feeling physically AND mentally, he understands and wants to help.

We did 3 IUI procedures and used Letrozole for each one leading up to the procedure. We did a trigger shot right before the procedure. On our 2nd and 3rd rounds, we added progesterone vaginal suppositories. When we started the IVF cycle, I was on birth control for 2 weeks to regulate my cycle before we started the actual medication. Once we got the ok, we were doing about 3 injections each night in my stomach. I don't remember the specific names of the medication, but I know one was to create more eggs, one was to not allow my body to ovulate. Leading up to the transfer, I was taking estradiol for about 2 weeks before I added progesterone suppositories and the PIO injection every 3 days. Along with all the fertility medication, Dr. Shah was able to tell me exactly what other medications to take to help with other issues like constipation, allergies, heartburn, etc.

Each IUI cost about $2,000. Anytime we had a telehealth visit, that was an additional $40. We chose to do the Shared Risk program which got us 6 egg retrievals and unlimited transfers. This did not include the PGTA testing and any medication. Our total for IVF was about $30,000. Insurance did not cover anything for us.

Dr. Shah recommended transferring only one embryo and that was great with us!

In the first part of the process, egg retrieval, everything went smoothly. All the plans Dr Shah had worked perfectly, I followed all the instructions, and I loved that they had the calendar very detailed so they left no space for mistakes. When it was time for embryo transfer, my body wasn't cooperating with the plan, and Dr. Shah took time to explain what was happening, and the new plan to follow, and it worked. The embryo transfer was a success, I went back home but he constantly was on the lookout for me and how I was doing. Then on my first ultrasound, I could hear my baby's heartbeat, but I had a little bleeding cyst (I'm pretty sure it has a clinical name, but I can't remember), Dr. Shah explained it was common, and after the first trimester, it could disappear. That same day, he called me telling me he found new research about that bleeding and sent me a list of vitamins that could help. My point is, that Dr. Shah always has a plan, and if it's not working, he comes up with another plan, he does research, gives you a call, doesn't wait for the next appointment, he absolutely goes above and beyond. My husband and I are so grateful we found him and his team.

He knows what he is doing, and if it's not working for any reason, he comes up with a new plan. He always finds a way to make it work. And in the meantime, he is so patient, empathic and caring.

Dr. Shah is by far the best infertility doctor that we’ve ever had. He is compassionate, understanding and well knowledgeable. He made us feel like we were going to be in good hands. We felt like we were family every visit.

The cost was well worth the wait, and within our budget.

Dr. Shah was very pro eSET. He explained that it is the safest method for embryo transfer.

I would totally recommend Dr. Shah. Besides being a professional doctor, he is also very personable and we always felt very comfortable with him. I honestly think because of Dr. Shah the whole IVF process was not as scary and stressful as I thought it would be.

Just trust him and trust the process.

Dr. Shah is very knowledgeable and explained all risks and possibilities with IUI. He also provided educational online portals that prepared us for our first IUI which were very helpful and gave me a better idea of the procedure.
