Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
Marlton office never had more than a 10 minute wait
In addition to highly specific diagnosis and treatment program that Dr. Franasiak provided, he was realistic about what the outcomes could be at every stage, and was incredibly kind during every interaction. We always looked forward to seeing him. As far as specific outcomes with Dr. Franasiak and RMA Marlton, they were overwhelmingly positive. For example, with previous clinics, after multiple IVF retrievals, we were only able to produce one PGS normal embryo...We only needed one round of IVF with Dr. Franasiak, as he made our protocol highly personalized...
Beth [nurse at RMA of New Jersey] is one of the most compassionate people we've met, and she is incredibly knowledgeable about all forms of treatment and care. If I had a question about anything between visits, I could call or email Beth and she'd get back to me within the hour...[Monitoring was] Super efficient, minimal wait-time (5-10 minutes at most), and I was usually out within 10-15 minutes after being brought back. It was all very easy, seamless, and professional... It's highly efficient and exceptionally clean. The staff are the utmost professionals. I was usually seen within about 5-10 minutes of arriving, which made visiting before work all the more convenient. At the time of treatment, the retrieval and transfer were done at the RMA Basking Ridge office, which is also high-tech and professional. You can tell RMA NJ stays up to date on the latest technologies, but still has a personalized feel.

For example, with previous clinics, after multiple IVF retrievals, we were only able to produce one PGS normal embryo. For my age at the time (37), this was unusual. Prior clinics gave no explanation, they would just tell us to keep doing retrievals, which was emotionally and financially exhausting. We only needed one round of IVF with Dr. Franasiak, as he made our protocol highly personalized. After just one round, we had FOUR PGS normal embryos. I still remember getting the call, I was in shock and cried about the good news.
Similarly, treatment from previous clinics - including years of IUI, IVF, and random surgeries - had never resulted in a clinical pregnancy (only a life threatening ectopic). Previous doctors said I had "implantation failure" and never tested me or gave a reason why. Dr. Franasiak looked into the reasons why I hadn't had implantation in my uterus, and tested me for both endometriosis and chronic endometritus. My results were positive for both. After treating the endometriosis and endometritus, we did our first frozen embryo transfer with Dr. Franasiak, and now I'm overjoyed to be 18-weeks pregnant with our first child due in June.
We have recommended Dr. Franasiak and RMA Marlton to all of our friends with fertility issues, and we'll be returning for baby #2 when we're ready.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Jason M. Franasiak at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey?
Start with Dr. Franasiak and RMA Marlton and don't waste your time going anywhere else.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Jason M. Franasiak at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey?
Before coming to RMA Marlton and seeing Dr. Franasiask, we had been under the care of three previous fertility doctors. These previous doctors relied more on "herd medicine" and one-size-fits all treatments rather than personalized diagnosis and care. This amounted to 4 years of multiple rounds of IUI, IVF, surgery, and lost hope.
When we showed up to our first meeting with Dr. Franasiak, he had all of our records printed out on his desk (probably about 6 inches high, of which he had read every page). In discussing our case, it was clear he had thoroughly taken the time to understand everything we had been through and he was prepared to recommend a diagnosis and treatment program before we walked in. He listened to and thoroughly and honestly addressed every question we had, including further nuances to our diagnosis and treatment plan.
Describe the protocols Jason M. Franasiak used in your cycles at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey and their degree of success.
There were several changes to our treatment strategy that were recommended by Dr. Franasiak.
On the diet and nutrition side, in getting ready for our retrieval, his office recommended going dairy and gluten free to cut down on inflammation. They also recommended a microbiome protocol which included high potency pre- and pro-biotics, and vaginal probiotic when we got to the transfer stage. Both my husband and I also tested positive for MTHFR mutations, and as a precaution, we were recommended to take 5g of methylfolate per day (people with MTHFR have a higher likelihood of aneuploid embryos).
On the medication side, I did about two weeks of estrogen priming with estradiol, and then eventually took about 450 IUs of Gonal-F or Follistim and about 50 IUs of low-dose HGC. I went in every few days for the ultrasound. One big difference I noticed from other clinics, is that I was triggered earlier with Dr. Franasiak's office. All of this resulted in our highest number of eggs (18), which made five embryos, of which an astounding four were chromosomally normal.
Dr. Franasiak diagnosed me with endometriosis, which was 60-days of lupron prior to the frozen embryo transfer. During this time, I was also treated for chronic endometritus, which was about 2-weeks of antibiotics. The transfer was seamless, professional, and now I'm pregnant with a baby boy.

We are very fortunate in that my health insurance covered the cost of diagnosis, IVF, and related care. I only paid the co-pay and a percentage of the medication costs.
Describe Jason M. Franasiak's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
Dr. Franasiak explained to us what the pros and cons were of single vs. multiple embryo transfers, and recommended doing a single. We were comfortable with this, and are very happy with the outcome.
Dr. Franasiak Was always so kind and gentle...he personally called me and gave me the good news...took the time to explain what the next step was and what I should be expecting...didn’t sugar coat the process, which I really appreciated and his office was always very quick to answer any of my MANY questions and concerns.
The staff [of RMA of Marlton, New Jersey] was always very nice and responsive. I wasn’t crazy about the financial coordinator, she was a little rude in all honesty...sent me a bill I paid for numerous times...was sent proof of payment...nurse Cristina was the BEST! she was always so kind and responsive to all my messages and questions.
How was your experience with Jason M. Franasiak at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey?
I can’t recommend Dr. Franasiak and RMA enough. They are the reason I’m pregnant and why I am so happy and grateful. I loved that he personally called me and gave me the good news. Even when it was discovered that we needed to switch from IUI to IVF, Dr. Franasiak took the time to explain what the next step was and what I should be expecting. I didn’t see him personally that often because I live closer to the Somerset office but Dr. Franasiak was always my main doctor and I am so grateful I made the decision to go with RMA. I will absolutely reschedule an appointment with him for my next pregnancy.

Describe the protocols Jason M. Franasiak used in your cycles at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey and their degree of success.
I originally was going to do the IUI but then we needed to redirect to IVF, so I’m not sure if there was a different strategy. When it was clear to the doctor that IUI was not an option, Dr. Franasiak was honest and didn’t waste my time or give me false hope. The process leading up to the egg retrieval was hard because of the daily injections and all the effects of that.
Describe your experience with your nurse at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey. (Assigned nurse: Christina )
My first nurse Cristina was the BEST! she was always so kind and responsive to all my messages and questions. I was so sad when she switched to per diem and I was reassigned to a new nurse. I would recommend Cristina to everyone and I would love to thank her for everything she did for me and partner.

Describe the costs associated with your care under Jason M. Franasiak at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
I’m fortunate that my insurance paid most of my treatment but I did have a copay for the fertility medicine, a copay for some of my visits (not all of them, just some), genetic testing, and the egg freezing (because that is not covered by insurance).
Medicine copay : approx $175-200
Optional acupuncture: $255
Copay for visits: $30 each
Egg freezing: $1,000
Genetic testing: $150-300
What specific things went wrong at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey?
Failed to call in prescriptions to pharmacy
Describe the specific things that went wrong at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
Dr. Franasiak advised me that I needed a specific nausea medication and my new nurse called in the incorrect medication. When I messaged her and told her that I thought I was given the wrong medication she tried to convince me that it was the correct one. The correct medicine was supposed to be a suppository and I was given regular oral pill tablets. Big difference.
Dr. Franasiak always took the time to ask about me as a person. He understood the impact of infertility on our life and worked to be as reassuring and supportive while also being very realistic about our situation. He always was warm, genuine, and professional...very real and straightforward communication, while still making me feel very hopeful about our situation. He always worked with me to find the best course of treatment depending on our circumstances. When I was struggling with setbacks he presented information and facts in a way that was warm, focused on my best interests, while also re-framing my understanding of the setbacks to give me hope and encouragement...

Describe the protocols Jason M. Franasiak used in your cycles at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey and their degree of success.
I was started with a synthetic cycle that resulted in a positive pregnancy that lasted 25 weeks, which then didn't end up working out and we lost the baby due to developmental issues. None relating to genetics or anything myself or the doctors could have predicted. After a few additional unsuccessful synthetic cycles, Dr. Franasiak switched to a natural cycle which resulted in a pregnancy that is healthy and going well (currently!).
Describe your experience with your nurse at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey. (Assigned nurse: Jen Graeves)
I loved having Jen as my nurse coordinator. She took a lot of time with me and always helped me with anything right away. She was real and felt like she was rooting for me. Even though all our meetings were virtual, it felt that we developed a solid bond and rapport. I very much appreciated her knowledge, guidance, and support throughout my time working with her.
Describe your experience with RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
RMA Marlton is a beautiful comfortable space. Everything is brand new and top of the line. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, from the front desk, to the phlebotomists, and the nurses. I always felt like I was in good hands, no matter who I worked with. The only thing that became problematic was the increasing wait times for morning monitoring. They became very busy very quickly and I would sometimes have to wait a very long time when everyone showed up at once. If you time it right, you can be in and out. However, I can't say that issue was unique to this office. I had very long wait times at another fertility doctors office, which was even more annoying because I had a scheduled arrival time. Overall, it didn't make me feel any less strongly about my positive experience with RMA.

Describe the costs associated with your care under Jason M. Franasiak at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
I had to pay co-pays and out of pocket for certain procedures even with insurance. Since 2020 my total out of pocket is around $15,000 for all medical costs.
Describe Jason M. Franasiak's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
The doctor will only allow a single embryo transfer. He informed me that the science demonstrated the best outcomes for mom and baby were due to one single embryo being transferred at a time.
At every sonogram Dr. Franasiak took time out of his busy schedule (even a minute or 2) just to ask how I was doing and always made sure to ask if I had any questions. This extra minute meant the world to me going through treatment because I felt like a human with concerns a say in my treatment, not a number. He explained the process in terms I could understand and thoroughly explained my recommended diagnostic testing and treatment plan. He also considered the number of children I wanted so that my son (provided by RMANJ under his care) could have a sibling which was important to me. Even after my HSG (which I was insanely nervous about) and egg retrieval he called me to see how I was feeling and made sure I was doing OK.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Jason M. Franasiak at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey?
Stay hopeful, keep trying and take care of yourself mentally during the process. Give yourself grace for scheduling an appointment and taking the next step to achieving your dreams. RMANJ has great statistics so do your research and stay strong. It’s ok to feel all the feelings that come with infertility but take care of yourself and give your self grace during the journey because it can be stressful!

Describe the protocols Jason M. Franasiak used in your cycles at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey and their degree of success.
I used menopur primarily because it was cheaper and gonal f. My trigger was lupron and I retrieved 14 eggs. 7 fertilized 4 embryos made it to blast and 3 were texted normal with PGD testing. I have 3 4BB embryos one of which resulted in my son Ken. I did a frozen embryo transfer with a natural cycle so no PIO injections just suppositories. My testing was all normal it was just that my husband did not have a lot of sperm so this was the recommended treatment plan. I chose not to do IUIs because the success rates with IVF were so much better and it was hard getting my husband to come into the office

Hillary was amazing and always took time even on her days off to make sure I was comfortable during my more anxious appointments. She has a calming demeanor and a great bed side manner. Describe Jason M. Franasiak's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
We did a single embryo transfer as multiple are not allowed and I did a fresh transfer because my cycles are normal. I had a beautiful lining with a beautiful transfer that resulted in my son Ken. He was a 4 BB embryo
Dr. Franasiak did not make me or my husband feel like a number. He was thorough in testing, listened to my concerns, and provided options about my concerns. We did not feel rushed during our time in consultation, and he gave us ample opportunity and encouraged all questions...We were able to get an appointment within a good amount of time to start the diagnostic consultation and follow up results.
[nurse of RMA of NJ] She is quick to respond, and listens to the patients concerns... It's not overcrowded for appointments and wait is not too long in the morning when getting check ups/blood work. Quick sign in. I had a billing issue, and the front desk immediately took care of it, and before I left they had it taken care of and credit on my account. Everyone was very helpful through the process so far.

Describe Jason M. Franasiak's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
Starting with our initial consult, Dr. Franasiak made us feel like more than a number, and like actual people. He had great bed-side manner, yet was always up front with us in regards to what we were facing with Secondary Unexplained Infertility. He was always understanding of our feelings, and justified our frustrations with the lack of answers the tests/treatments/results were able to provide. When we decided it was best for me to take a break from treatments, we had a discussion with Dr. Frasnasiak about same.
RMA runs like a well-oiled machine! One time however, my orders did not go through for blood work/ultrasound. It was quickly resolved within a few minutes.... Another aspect that we really enjoyed/appreciated about RMA, is that we had our own nurse, and she was AMAZING! She always expressed genuine concern about how we were doing, and offered her assistance in whatever we needed along the way.... RMA had comparable charges to the previous clinic we went to.

He also stated that if we felt it was in my best interest to take some time to ourselves, it was understandable and that if we ever decide to continue with treatment, he will be there to assist us.
Although the three treatment (IUI) cycles we went through did not result in a pregnancy, my husband and I were very glad that we chose Dr. Franasiak at RMA, and that they were a part of our journey. We highly recommend him to anyone in the area trying to conceive a baby!
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Jason M. Franasiak at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey?
Dr. Franasiak was extremely knowledgable about infertility and the procedures and treatments of same. Although it was initially difficult for me to remain calm during the treatment cycle, I quickly learned how educated he is and that I needed to put my full trust in him. He is very smart and was aware of our case in great detail. Let the doctors do their job, and in doing so it is (or was for us) easier to remain more calm throughout the treatment cycle.

Describe the protocols Jason M. Franasiak used in your cycles at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey and their degree of success.
We previously completed four treatment cycles at another clinic, to no avail. Three of which I was prescribed Clomid, and the final one we used Gonal-F. Dr. Franasiak started my first treatment cycle with Gonal-F and had increased my dosage to 100 mL, which was higher than we had previously been prescribed. My follicles developed at different rates each time however, Dr. Franasiak kept a close eye on same. That being said, I did not use Gonal-F for the same number of days each cycle. A few times we were asked to come in a couple days in a row, rather than every other day. This was for Dr. Franasiak's reassurance that all was happening as planned, and to prevent over development of my follicles and any other potential issues.
Describe your experience with your nurse at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey. (Assigned nurse: Beth Harley)
We really enjoyed/appreciated that we had our own nurse, and she was AMAZING! Beth was always available to talk with, and if she was unable to answer, she always returned our call in a timely fashion. She also had very good bed-side manner, in addition to a positive attitude which was always so pleasant, especially when I was having a rough time/day. One time in particular we thought we would not receive our medication in time. Beth sat down with us, listened to the concerns we expressed and reassured us that all would work out; that we would find a way regardless of what needed to be done. Her calm and confident disposition assisted me in calming down as well. I called her after we suspended our care with RMA, as I had a few questions. We engaged in conversation for a decent amount of time. She expressed genuine concern about how we were doing, in addition to other matters. Never once did she attempt to rush me off the phone, or display any negativity in the amount of time it took to address/resolve our concerns. We went to a previous infertility clinic and did not receive anywhere near the same personal care.
Describe your experience with RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
Overall, we were very happy with the clinic. Although there were a few very nice lab techs, there were also a few that were not. I usually tried to make light of the situation, as early morning appointments are not always fun, and I am not a fan of needles. In making said conversations with the lab techs, some of their demeanors expressed as though they were not interested in engaging in conversation, or that their statements were "forced." Since we suspended our treatments however, RMA has moved to a new and much larger facility. Having said that, they may have more lab techs now which would allow patients to engage with a more diverse amount of employees.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
RMA runs like a well-oiled machine! One time however, my orders did not go through for blood work/ultrasound. It was quickly resolved within a few minutes.
Dr. Franasiak was always willing and available to answer questions or concerns, even returning phone calls late at night. He has a very empathetic bedside manner.... Dr. Franasiak is caring and gentle. He uses the best available evidence to assist him in his decisions and is willing to research for additional treatments that may assist pregnancy. He is thoughtful and I believe he is making the best decisions ossible with regards to my needs and my care
RMA has a large set of resources available due to it's size but then sometimes appointments can be hard to get and you may have to travel a distance for some treatments depending on how close you live to the main center. They have very educated and capable staff but I often found it difficult to get someone directly on the phone.... Egg donor/retrieval cost approximately $25,000. Embryo transfer was approximately $5000.

Describe the protocols Jason M. Franasiak used in your cycles at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey and their degree of success.
We started with egg retrieval immediately as he didn't feel IUI was an option for me. He tried egg retrieval twice but then felt it wouldn't be ethical to continue trying as I was a "low responder." We moved onto an egg donor which initially produced a pregnancy. I was offered acupuncture on day of transfer. The miscarriage occurred after my discharge from fertility care. Now they have placed me on probiotics/prebiotics in prep for my next transfer cycle.

I made sure to stay on top of certain things such as scheduling appointments or getting prescriptions because on a rare occasion, it would be missed. But they always addressed the issue if I brought it to their attention.
Dr. Franasiak has been pleasant, candid and thorough since my first visit. He explained the details of the treatment options, answered all of my questions and even provided guidance and support through the more emotional side of this journey....explained each step of the process from the first appointment and followed up regularly even between visits to check in and make sure that I was doing ok.
As a new patient you should know that the doctor [Dr. Franasiak] and clinical staff [at RMA] are fantastic. * Everyone is very responsive * Scheduling the first appointment if you are new to infertility can be a bit overwhelming as the front desk staff isn't the most compassionate. * The office is always open for morning monitoring even in inclement weather * It's easy to get an appointment...Dayna is thorough and compassionate she has coordinated my care so far and gets back to all of my questions by end of day

Dr. Franasiak and my nurse explained each step of the process from the first appointment and followed up regularly even between visits to check in and make sure that I was doing ok. Before we were able to start treatment we got pregnant on our own which turned out to be ectopic but my nurse and the doctor connected with me daily to see how I was feeling and as we get ready to move forward with treatment they have been very supportive, direct and detailed
Describe the protocols Jason M. Franasiak used in your cycles at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey and their degree of success.
We first saw the doctor last summer and continued to try on our own while getting the work up which took a bit longer than usual due to work conflicts then in January we learned that we were pregnant and came in for a workup because of recurring miscarriages at this time we learned it was ectopic. Dr. Franasiaks initial recommendation was methotrexate with monitoring as it was early in the pregnancy and unfortunately that didn't work and I needed a salpingectomy. The methotrexate will be out of my system by May 1st and we will be moving forward with our first cycle

So far [with Dr. Jason Franasiak] I have completed diagnostics and surgical correction. I’ve had Lab work, genetic testing and consultaion with a genetics councillor, I’ve had an uktrasound, and SIS, and HSG, and a hysteroscopic polypectomy. This cycle I will be using Clomid and will be monitored for ovulation and IUI...Dr. Franasiak does an excellent job explaining each step of our testing, diagnosis, and treatments. He utilizes his nursing staff to maintain excellent patient communication, instruction, and check-ins throughtout each stage.
Maryellen [nurse at RMA of NJ] is extremely knowledgable and caring. When I contact her, I always receive a promt and detailed response in easy to understand language. She is a rock for me in this very delicate process...I had a health care cost and billing explanation consultation with a team member before we bagan any treatments to explain my personal health benefits, what my personal responsibilities would include, what my deductible would be, and what treatments my insurance covers before we ever began diagnostics and treatments.

Describe Jason M. Franasiak's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
Dr Franasiak is an amazing doctor with great bedside manner. He never made me feel uncomfortable or upset given the circumstances. He always inspired hope with me and I always felt like I was in the hands of the absolute BEST...He felt as if a singleton pregnancy was safest for myself and my future child. He also had my thyroid tested and put me on thyroid meds once I was pregnant because it was low and he didn’t want it to interfere with my pregnancy in any way. During retrieval he recommended I do laser acupuncture before and after the procedure to increases chances of baby “sticking”, and yes it did work!
They [RMA of New Jersey] provided me with a program called “helping heros” and since we were a military family they completely paid for my retrieval and transfer and all Monitoring in full. In addition, they coveted the costs of cryopreservation of my embryos for 2 years after treatment. They also stored my husbands sperm for 1 year at no cost to us. The only costs we had were to the pharmacy for our medications, and even then dr Franasiak provided some samples at no cost to help with the expense.

During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Jason M. Franasiak at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey?
Dr Franasiak is a fantastic doctor. I am actually going back to see him again with my other 3 frozen embryos to try for baby #2. I wouldn’t see anyone else besides him. His other associates are good, but he needs to be the main dr on my case and calling the shots. He is so thoughtful and caring and he even set up a special time to meet my newborn son after all was said and done. He went above and beyond with me when I came down with a very rare skin rash and even held conferences with his staff to go over what my rash could be and even called me from his personal cell phone, on a weekend, to check up on me. He is an amazing doctor and I cannot day enough good things about him.

I never felt confused with the shots because she explained everything in detail and spent the time with me to make this overwhelming process very easy and relaxed.

Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
Monitoring appointments were early in the morning so you could go before work. I like the monitoring appt times now because I can go to monitoring while my husband stays home with my son and I can be back before he has to leave for work. No babysitter needed. If I was working it would have been convenient to get monitoring done before work. It was a very smooth process.

No comments. I believe he chose the right path for us.
I felt like Dr. Franasiak was with me from the beginning until the end, even when I had bleeding early on in the pregnancy. I felt like he explained things to me and was there for me even after hours.... Extremely caring, very knowledgeable, helped us reach our dream of having a baby. Explained things well, was available when needed, very professional. As a patient of IVF, treatment can be tiring and scary. I felt comfortable in Dr. Franasiaks care. I felt like I was being helped on a daily basis.
The clinic [RMA of NJ] was very clean, efficient and all the employees were kind. There were no long wait times and results were communicated quickly. It was open 365 days of the year to ensure that cycles and treatments were going well and the patient is receiving what they need. The hours allowed me to work and do the treatments/bloodwork.... The nurses were available as much as possible. Sometimes I felt like they weren’t as warm as the doctors but I know they are very busy.

We paid for copays for visits and medications. We paid for the laser acupuncture and what insurance didn’t cover
At our initial consultation we sat down and discussed all the testings and the treatments that I had done and my options for a future. He [Dr. Franasiak] was very understanding of our situation... When I made the appointment with this clinic I thought the doctor would be the one who does all of my monitoring which I have not seen him since I started the cycle. This cycle with injectable medications I only had one follicle I told him that next cycle I would like to increase my dose but he said that he will not do that in fear of multiples even though we are willing to take the risk.

How was your experience with Jason M. Franasiak at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey?
We had a great experience with Dr. Franasiak. I am currently 26 weeks pregnant, and owe the ability to get pregnant to him. Our process was definitely longer than initially expected, when we found out after my first egg retrieval that I had poor egg quality, likely related to my longstanding history of endometriosis. Because of our desire for two children, we ultimately ended up proceeding with 2 additional egg retrievals to bank embryos. Dr. Franasiak was always supportive of our wishes throughout the process. Many physicians would ignore the management of endometriosis during IVF or wait until 1 or multiple failed transfers before prioritizing treatment of endometriosis to help with success rates. Dr. Franasiak took my diagnosis of endometriosis seriously from the beginning. He never insisted that we just proceed with a transfer as usual first, before addressing the endometriosis. He suggested and was supportive of being as proactive as possible, and following my 3rd egg retrieval, we immediately proceeded with a 2 month course of Lupron Depot and letrozole for suppression based off of the current studies/recommendations. Immediately following this, we went into our first transfer cycle and continued daily Lupron dosing until it was time for progesterone. All of this was to keep my endometriosis fully suppressed until transfer to help us achieve the best possible chance of success. Our first transfer was successful (currently 26 weeks), and I truly believe it was because the endometriosis was taken seriously and addressed prior to transfer. Because we required 3 egg retrievals and struggled to make embryos, it was so important to us to have a customized plan and ensure that none were wasted by just following a clinic's routine transfer protocol.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Jason M. Franasiak at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey?
Don't hesitate to schedule a telemedicine visit or follow up visit to recap your last procedure (egg retrieval, transfer) or discuss next steps. This isn't always suggested by the clinic/nurses, but I would ask for an appointment, and Dr. Franasiak was always happy to meet with my husband and I to go over all of our questions.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Jason M. Franasiak at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey?
With our initial experience with Dr. Franasiak, we often found that he over-simplified medical terminology to my husband and I, which some people may prefer, but based on my profession in healthcare, I preferred to really know all the details of the science behind what we were doing. Dr. Franasiak quickly adjusted to our preferences on wanting to know all the details and statistics for everything. He took the time with us on several occasions through telemedicine visits to always recap the last egg retrieval, give us the statistics and success rates that we asked for, and discuss in detail the next steps. I also always appreciated that he would personally call us with updates throughout the process (how many eggs fertilized, how many embryos frozen, PGT results), even when the updates would occur on weekends when he wasn't working.
Describe the protocols Jason M. Franasiak used in your cycles at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey and their degree of success.
My 3 egg retrievals were completed with the antagonist protocol (Gonal, low-dose hCG, cetrotide). I responded very well to these medications for each retrieval producing 26, 28, and 16 eggs for each of the retrievals.
Between the final egg retrieval and transfer, we opted for suppression due to my endometriosis with the goal of increasing our chances for a successful first transfer. This consisted of 2 months of Lupron Depot along with daily letrozole.
For our first FET which was successful, the protocol consisted of estrogen pills twice daily along with daily low-dose Lupron. The Lupron was to ensure that my ovary remained quiet and estrogen stayed controlled leading up to transfer. 5-6 days prior to the scheduled transfer, we began daily PIO injections and continued those until 10 weeks of gestation.
Describe your experience with your nurse at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey. (Assigned nurse: Victoria (Tori) Condren)
We could not have asked for a more fantastic nurse with Tori. She is incredibly organized and very responsive to our many questions throughout this process. Whenever I would message a long list of questions, she always responded with every question fully answered, and she would often also call to discuss to make sure everything was clear to us.
Describe your experience with RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
The physicians, nurses, and phlebotomists were all great to work with at RMA.
The downside with RMA is having to deal with their financial coordinators and billing. We found that the financial coordinator was often short, cold, and rude. Their standard is to demand the max amount of possible money you could owe, even if you have insurance coverage that covers IVF. It was often a lot of back and forth with the financial team, until they would agree to a more reasonable amount for them to hold, while we waited for insurance to process the claims. They were also very unhelpful after our first egg retrieval when RMA inappropriately billed our 1 egg retrieval as 2 separate retrieval events. Since our insurance had a max of 2 retrievals a year, this unnecessarily delayed us from proceeding with our next retrieval until this could be resolved. It took countless calls with our insurance company and escalating it to the insurance company's general counsel for us to finally have a resolution, since RMA was unable/unwilling to help or adjust the coding on what was billed.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
While I was doing morning monitoring for retrievals and transfer, RMA operated with morning monitoring hours, meaning I could come anytime that was convenient to me from 6am-8am. They just recently changed this to scheduled appointment times, however I did prefer the 2 hour window where I could come when it was convenient for me. Some days, I would be there at opening at 6am because I had a busy work schedule that day, and other days I would arrive closer to 7:45am when that was best for me. It was often very busy on weekends (since the Princeton office also had to come to Marlton for monitoring on the weekends), so I would aim to get there as early as possible before the rush. Overall I found that the morning monitoring process was often very smooth and efficient, with a few days that were notable for having longer delays.
Dr. Franasiak is truly the best..is kind and has a very calm demeanor which is perfect for couples going through fertility issues..explained everything we needed to know, he's detailed...makes sure that you have his undivided attention during sessions...was never in a rush...They only transfer one embryo at a time
[RMA of New Jersey] Strengths...is very clean and has a nice ambiance...staff is truly so amazing...hours are great...morning monitoring worked perfectly for my busy schedule! Dr. Franasiak was never in a rush. He always took his time explaining things and we always had the opportunity to ask questions and he would answer them. He's very kind and explained everything to me and my husband. Our first consult with him was great and we knew that we wanted to move forward with RMA because of Dr. Franasiak.

We opted for IVF instead of IUI. It involved lots of injections and pills.
Describe your experience with your nurse at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey. (Assigned nurse: Victoria C.)
The nurses were very sweet and I never felt rushed. Even during their busy monitoring hours in the morning, they still had such great attitudes. My primary nurse was also very responsive. I had some anxiety during this entire journey and I felt that I always bugged her with questions. But always responded so fast which eased my anxiety! She was also on top of getting my meds delivered - ensuring my treatments didn't get delayed. Tori was awesome!
The entire staff at RMA in Marlton has been amazing. The receptionists, phlebotomist, nurses, and other physicians - they were all great and we're so glad we found this clinic.
Describe your experience with RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
Strengths: the clinic is very clean and has a nice ambiance. The staff is truly so amazing!! I am very happy with every single one of them! Their hours are great. The morning monitoring worked perfectly for my busy schedule!
Weaknesses: sometimes during monitoring hours, the wait would be a little long. However, they just implemented a policy where patients are to make an appointment that way it flows better. I also understood that they were short-staffed at times. But monitoring hours start at 6am which is perfect for people who have work in the morning.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
I loved the monitoring hours! It's from 6am - 8 am. Closer to 8am it would get busier, so I always tried to come in early. I like that they're open at 6am since I work in the mornings and I was able to stop by before work. It worked out perfectly for me. They are also very flexible.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Jason M. Franasiak at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
It was around $14,000 for everything (treatments, procedures, medications). I did have insurance but it's not that great. However, before proceeding with RMa, I knew it was going to be expensive so it was not shocking to me by any means.
Describe Jason M. Franasiak's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
They only transfer one embryo at a time. Which was perfectly fine for me.
Dr. Franasiak always treated me like a priority...saw him for several consultations and check-ins, my HSG, and my FET...called me frequently during my treatments...Aside from having good bedside manner, Dr. Franasiak is also extremely knowledgeable...have low amh (0.6). I had a luteal phase start
switched to RMA from a different fertility clinic and the difference in treatment was like night and day...always had access to my nurse and my doctor...Tori, was exceptional...issues come up on weekends that I was able to get quickly resolved using the emergency line
How was your experience with Jason M. Franasiak at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey?
I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Franasiak! He was very upfront during our consultation and thoroughly explained what we should expect going forward, any risks, and what our chances were. I saw him for several consultations and check-ins, my HSG, and my FET. I was very nervous for my HSG and Dr. Franasiak completely put me at ease - he put music on during the procedure and kept the conversation going to keep me distracted. I've had 3 HSG's during my fertility journey (only one with Dr. Franasiak) and his was the most comfortable and painless by far. He also made my transfer feel very special. Dr. Franasiak also called me frequently during my treatments - he called to congratulate me when 3 out of my 4 eggs made it through PGT-A testing, again when I received a positive pregnancy test, and again when I graduated the clinic (I was unable to see him for my last appointment due to my own conflicts). Aside from having good bedside manner, Dr. Franasiak is also extremely knowledgeable in his field and I trusted him completely to make the right calls for my retrieval and FET. I'll definitely be calling him down the road when it's time to further expand my family.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Jason M. Franasiak at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey?
I would tell a prospective patient to trust whatever advice Dr. Franasiak provides.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Jason M. Franasiak at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey?
Dr. Franasiak always treated me like a priority. He carefully listened to all of my concerns and frequently called me to check up on me or to celebrate any successes. I also frequently send Dr. Franasiak questions through the patient portal, and always received a response within an hour or two. I have never felt like I had such access to a doctor before.
Describe the protocols Jason M. Franasiak used in your cycles at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey and their degree of success.
I have low amh (0.6). I had a luteal phase start. I started on 2 vials of Menopur and 300 Follistim. We added Ganirelex on day 6 and triggered with Ovidrel on day 10. We ended up with 4 eggs retrieved. All 4 made it to blast and 3 made it through PGT-A testing.
Describe your experience with your nurse at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey. (Assigned nurse: Tori)
My nurse, Tori, was exceptional. I frequently sent her questions in the portal and she always responded back to me within a few hours. Her instructions were always clear and she was always quick to provide my updates after morning monitoring. I loved having an assigned nurse because I felt like I always had a direct line for questions and was able to get answers from someone who knew my background.
Describe your experience with RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
I switched to RMA from a different fertility clinic and the difference in treatment was like night and day. Infertility is difficult but RMA made things easy. I always had access to my nurse and my doctor (which is sooo comforting when you're dealing with injections that are completely new to you). I was never worried about something popping up and being unable to reach someone. I even had a few issues come up on weekends that I was able to get quickly resolved using the emergency line. The RMA portal is also excellent - I love that communications are frequently through messages because I can look back and re-read what someone sent me. They also post your lab results and ultrasounds in the portal so you have full access to your information. The phlebotomists are also awesome and make the blood draws pretty painless (which is great when you are getting blood drawn every day). The clinic is also beautiful - you spend so much time there and it's nice to be in a clean aesthetic environment.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Jason M. Franasiak at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
My egg retrieval cycle was $13,125 and FET was $5,000. I paid up front but my insurance ended up covering the costs. RMA has been easy to deal with regarding reimbursement for what I paid.
I could not recommend Dr. Franasiak strongly enough. After my husband and I were told by another clinic that we wouldn't be able to have our own children, our expectations were quite low as we sought a second opinion. Dr. Franasiak gave us hope we didn't know we could have. He is incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate, and we had full confidence the entire time we were in his care. Even though we could potentially have our remaining frozen embryos transferred to a location closer to home, we will continue driving out to Marlton for Dr. Franasiak to help us build our family.
RMA was fantastic. They communicate effectively between branches and have a strong team of doctors, nurses, and care coordinators across the board...Dr. Franasiak was incredibly compassionate and kind throughout the entire process. From the very beginning, even through telehealth visits, he made us feel like he genuinely cared for us and our family. He made personal calls throughout the egg retrieval and embryo transfer processes to check in and share good news with us.

Describe the protocols Jason M. Franasiak used in your cycles at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey and their degree of success.
My husband and I faced a rare male factor infertility called globozoospermia. When we met for our initial visit, Dr. Franasiak explained that he had worked with two other couples in the past with this diagnosis and that both couples were able to have healthy babies as a result of the same strategy. I went through a typical egg retrieval cycle, and the embryologist used calcium ionophore while performing ICSI to fertilize the eggs. The result was four healthy embryos, which were frozen. I underwent one frozen embryo transfer in 2022 which resulted in a healthy pregnancy and delivery. Our second frozen embryo transfer was in August 2023, and I am currently 9 weeks pregnant.
Describe your experience with your nurse at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey. (Assigned nurse: Rachel Dash and Cristina Bolanos)
Rachel and Cristina were fantastic care coordinators during all of our procedures with RMA thus far. They went above and beyond in communicating clearly and quickly and helping us feel confident in the next steps throughout the entire process. Everyone I spoke with or worked with at RMA was kind, respectful, and helpful.
Describe your experience with RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
RMA was fantastic. They communicate effectively between branches and have a strong team of doctors, nurses, and care coordinators across the board. My primary doctor was based in Marlton, but I was able to do my morning monitoring appointments at the Lehigh Valley office in Allentown because it was a shorter drive for me. Keep in mind - that drive was still 90 minutes one way, but it was worth it for the ability to work with this team of doctors and nurses. Despite the distance, I will willingly do that all over again twice when we transfer our remaining two embryos in the future.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
Monitoring hours ran in the morning; specific times varied slightly by location. Sometimes there was a bit of a wait, but the waiting room had plenty of seats and had a quiet atmosphere. The monitoring process ran smoothly.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Jason M. Franasiak at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
The egg retrieval cycle (not counting medications) was around $16,000. Genetic testing of the embryos was $300/embryo. Storage of frozen embryos was $1200/year.
Describe Jason M. Franasiak's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
RMA adopted a single embryo transfer policy in 2021 due to the success rates of their embryo transfers and the risks involved with being pregnant with multiples. We respected Dr. Franasiak's explanation of the policy and RMA's rationale for adopting it.

Copay $20 for each visit, $2000 for egg retrieval (not covered by my insurance), $1000 for genetic testing (not covered by my insurance)
I appreciated Dr. Franasiak's straight-forward nature. This allowed my husband and I to have realistic expectations. He presented the pros and cons of all of the options and what was most likely to work, while allowing me to be fully involved in my care and treatment decisions. He touched base with me every step of the way, even when he wasn't able to do all of my procedures (I chose another location for sooner availability). He was always more than willing to answer my questions, even if I thought they were 'dumb' questions.
Every single person I encountered [at RMA of New Jersey] was always pleasant and helpful. I usually didn't wait long, but on the chance that I did, there were a lot of patients and I was updated. They also did their best to keep patients moving, such as having some patients do ultrasounds while waiting for bloodwork. I am not a morning person, but I am going to miss my morning monitoring appointments at RMA.

During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Jason M. Franasiak at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey?
Dr. Franasiak always showed kindness and compassion. He especially showed empathy when our first retrieval yielded much less viable embryos than we expected, and our first embryo transfer failed.
Describe the protocols Jason M. Franasiak used in your cycles at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey and their degree of success.
My first egg retrieval cycle consisted of Gonal F, Menopur, Cetrotide, with Lupron and HCG trigger. This yielded 16 eggs, 9 mature, 8 fertilized, and only 1 blastocyst (the last drop was unexpected, suspected to be an egg quality issue). The blastocyst was PGT normal, but failed to implant. We decided to move forward with a second egg retrieval. This consisted of a higher dose of Gonal F, same dose Menopur, Fyremadel, with Lupron and HCG trigger. We also added Omnitrope/human growth hormone; Dr. Franasiak admitted there was not much data for its use in my age/situation, but we decided to try it. This yielded 36 eggs, 26 mature, 24 fertilized, and 12 blastocysts, all of which were PGT normal. I am currently 8w2d pregnant with my 2nd transfer/1st from that cycle.
Describe your experience with your nurse at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey. (Assigned nurse: Ashley R.)
Ashley was an absolute saint, as I told her several times. My husband and I are both nurses so I tried really hard not to be "that patient" that asks a million questions, but infertility was totally outside my husband and I's wheelhouse. Ashley was always quick to answer any and all questions I threw her way. Even if she didn't know the answer herself, she updated me and assured me she would get the answer, which she always did. She checked in on me often and even wished me well when I had important procedures and tests coming up. Infertility, especially IVF, is by no means easy, but it was a lot less difficult with Ashley in my corner.
Describe your experience with RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
I mostly went to the Marlton office, but also had some procedures done at Basking Ridge and some monitoring at Princeton. Every single person I encountered was always pleasant and helpful. I usually didn't wait long, but on the chance that I did, there were a lot of patients and I was updated. They also did their best to keep patients moving, such as having some patients do ultrasounds while waiting for bloodwork. Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
Morning monitoring was very convenient for me. I appreciated that I was able to go in before work without needing to take time off. I also appreciated not having to commit to a specific appointment time, and having multiple options for location.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Jason M. Franasiak at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
I do have insurance, but unfortunately my infertility coverage is not great and I have a fairly high deductible. Also, my treatment spanned the end of one calendar into the next, so I had to pay towards my deductible twice. After 2 egg retrievals and 2 frozen embryo transfers, including medications, I believe my OOP cost was approximately $15k.
Describe Jason M. Franasiak's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
Dr. Franasiak explained the risks and benefits of single vs multiple embryo transfer, and we agreed with his recommendation for single embryo transfer.
Dr. Franasiak is very kind, patient, and gentle...He was always explaining everything that was going on as it was going on, what we were looking at or what we were doing. His bedside manner's were amazing. He made sure to always ask how I was doing/feeling, always ask for consent before doing something physically, and always acknowledged my husband which we beyond appreciated...always very personable and very polite...
Finance department [at RMA of New Jersey] could be a little nicer and more sensitive to the fact it's a fertility clinic. MELISSA and BRITTANY in phlebotomy were AMAZING to say the least. Felt very personable with them. Even on the weekends at 6 am, they were always so amazing, very gentle, and would even have great small talk with patients...She [nurse] always answered all of my questions, was very informative, and never made me feel like I was bothering her. (even though I was reaching out multiple times a day at one point lol."...
How was your experience with Jason M. Franasiak at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey?
Dr. Franasiak is very kind, patient, and gentle. When having my HSG done, he knew I was a nervous wreck and without having my husband there, he was able to keep me calm and be very quick. He was always explaining everything that was going on as it was going on, what we were looking at or what we were doing. His bedside manner's were amazing. He made sure to always ask how I was doing/feeling, always ask for consent before doing something physically, and always acknowledged my husband which we beyond appreciated. When ever my husband had questions or thoughts he was always there for him as well.

Describe the protocols Jason M. Franasiak used in your cycles at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey and their degree of success.
My husband and I went in for a consultation. Then I had an HSG done to make sure I didn't have any tube or ovarian blockages. Then I had a Saline-sonogram to check the shaping of my Uterus. After that, reported day 1 of my period. After a few days of my period, I started birth control. I took birth control for about 4 days, then went back to check for uterine lining and stopped the b.c. I then took Letrezole twice a day for 5 days. After a few days of no letrezole, i went back and started my monitoring for ovulation. I ended up having 3 healthy large eggs, and a 4th smaller egg. Once my ovulation was occuring, they performed back to back IUI's & sperm washes. Found out 14 days later I was pregnant! Made it to 8 weeks pregnant and "graduated"/discharged back to my regular OB.
Describe your experience with your nurse at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey. (Assigned nurse: Ashley Reagan)
Ashley was absolutely amazing. She always answered all of my questions, was very informative, and never made me feel like I was bothering her. (even though I was reaching out multiple times a day at one point lol."
Describe your experience with RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
Finance department could be a little nicer and more sensitive to the fact it's a fertility clinic. MELISSA and BRITTANY in phlebotomy were AMAZING to say the least. Felt very personable with them. Even on the weekends at 6 am, they were always so amazing, very gentle, and would even have great small talk with patients.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Jason M. Franasiak at RMA of Marlton, New Jersey.
I would say it wasn't as much as I thought it would be, it was definitely more affordable than other places that i've heard about. It was still expensive to me and my husband as we are young adults, with life debt. But we made it work.
