He [Dr. Jeffrey Klein] was very informative and was very nice to us and respectable. Unfortunately he did not direct perform any procedures and the location we were sent to have our IUIs done treated us like just a number...When i wasnt getting pregnant, he adjusted my routine and then switched me to letrozole which then produced me with a positive test.

Wonderful doctors and [RMA of New York] offices but none of them perform the actual inseminations. Make sure you ask where and who will be doing the procedure. They don't inform you until after the fact that its all done in separate location

I was young and healthy so they wasn't to much of a strategy just clomid to control ovulation and sync it according to IUIs scheduling. When i wasnt getting pregnant, he adjusted my routine and then switched me to letrozole which then produced me with a positive test.

Dr. Klein is great he is trustworthy and answers his emails so quickly. He shows that he actually cares about the patient and their goals. He is open to suggestions and explains everything very well...I would advice a prospective patient to be prepared to hear everything from the good to the bad... nice and caring. There was no feelings of judgment.

He was also personable and funny...he always remembered what we'd already tried and was ready to adjust and try the next thing...I'm 40 years old, and our embryos were untested, so for my first transfer, he allowed two to be transferred. That transfer failed. Our second transfer was of our one remaining frozen embryo, which was successful...

Martha [nurse at RMA of New York] was great, though she made errors on my medication directions a couple of times which I had to call to clarify...The Madison Ave branch is the only one open on weekends, so I had to go there a few times for monitoring and for my transfers and retrieval, which was inconvenient...The one big drawback was that we started IVF in November 2020 not knowing that the clinic shut down for cleaning in December, so that delayed our treatment until January 2021 which was frustrating...

Dr. Klein was a great doctor, and we're grateful to him for helping us get our son. Our process started in 2019 and lasted through 2021, and he always remembered what we'd already tried and was ready to adjust and try the next thing. I've already recommended him to a few friends.

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Jeffrey Klein at RMA of New York?

Ask a lot of questions. He's super responsive to email, so utilize that. When we first started I was very overwhelmed and didn't understand that we were jumping into IUIs, and he helped talked me through everything and allay my fears.

For IUIs, I took clomid with a trigger shot. For IVF, I believe it was antagonist, 10-ish days of stims followed by egg retrieval and a fresh transfer of two embryos (which failed) and a FET the following month which resulted in our son who was born 3 weeks ago.

Martha was great, though she made errors on my medication directions a couple of times which I had to call to clarify.

It is busy, but I was impressed by how well they handled Covid monitoring and scheduling. Everyone at the Westchester clinic was great. There was one younger phlebotomist who routinely bruised me terribly, but the regular, more experienced one was phenomenal. The Madison Ave branch is the only one open on weekends, so I had to go there a few times for monitoring and for my transfers and retrieval, which was inconvenient coming from Rockland County but worth it ultimately. The one big drawback was that we started IVF in November 2020 not knowing that the clinic shut down for cleaning in December, so that delayed our treatment until January 2021 which was frustrating.

My insurance covered everything except visit copays and medicine copays.

[Dr. Klein] took the time to answer all of my questions and was extremely comforting and supportive throughout the entire process. I had two unsuccessful embryo transfers before a positive pregnancy test, and he called me himself both times to give me the bad news. I could tell he was just as disappointed as I was to have to deliver the news, and so comforting as he offered guidance for next steps

Monitoring hours at the Westchester RMA location are very organized, and they get you in and out quickly so you can get to work in the morning. The procedures such as egg retrieval and embryo transfer are done at the Madison Ave location in NYC though (not in the offices in Westchester)...The nurses are all extremely kind, warm and helpful. Navigating the insurance process for all the drugs administered can be daunting, and they definitely helped me get through it

From the moment I had my first consultation with Dr. Klein, I felt that he made personal connections with his clients and was vested in their success to become pregnant. I had an idea that the IVF process would be a bit daunting, but regardless of the small setbacks along the way my confidence in Dr. Klein never wavered. He is kind, sympathetic, and a true expert in his field. My husband and I are so grateful that we were recommended to him and have a happy and healthy 2 month old son now thanks to him and his team!

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Jeffrey Klein at RMA of New York?

Be confident knowing that whatever setbacks are thrown your way during the fertility process, you can trust that Dr. Klein will do everything possible to ensure a positive outcome. Patience will pay off!

I never felt rushed during nay of my visits with Dr. Klein regardless of how many people were waiting to be seen. He took the time to answer all of my questions and was extremely comforting and supportive throughout the entire process. I had two unsuccessful embryo transfers before a positive pregnancy test, and he called me himself both times to give me the bad news. I could tell he was just as disappointed as I was to have to deliver the news, and so comforting as he offered guidance for next steps. I couldn't have asked for better bedside manner, he really is vested in his patients' success.

Describe the protocols Jeffrey Klein used in your cycles at RMA of New York and their degree of success.

I had a successful egg retrieval which resulted in a good number of viable embryos, however the first two transfer cycles were unsuccessful. Dr. Klein performed a saline sonogram to ensure there was nothing wrong with my uterus before trying for a third time and found nothing of concern. Although I was nervous to try a third embryo transfer given the disappointment of the first two rounds and no real explanation as to why they didn't take, Dr. Klein convinced me that the odds were in my favor - and he was right. The third time worked which resulted in a pregnancy without any complications.

The nurses are all extremely kind, warm and helpful. Navigating the insurance process for all the drugs administered can be daunting, and they definitely helped me get through it!

I am fortunate in that my insurance covered a large portion of the IVF process. I paid somewhere between $3k and 5k for copays for the treatment cycles, and upwards of $1k for all the copays for the office visits and monitoring appointments (of which there were many so the copays definitely add up). I also paid somewhere between $700 and 800 for genetic testing of embryos.
