[Dr. Jerome Check] specialized in premature ovarian failure and he was one that looked at my numbers and didnt go right to donor eggs. He actually gave me hope and faith in conceiving and actually knew how to treat this terrible disease...Ethinyl estrodial which tremendously reduces my fsh and adjusted my hormones so that I would ovulate! Once my numbers got down they would put me on clomid or menopur or follistim injections to grow my follicles and then hcg trigger to release the egg.
Front desk staff [at Copper Institute for Reproductive Hormonal Disorders] was not the friendliest but the nurses made up for it. It was easy to get appts and they took you back pretty fast so u didnt have to wait long...I felt like a human being here and they didnt just get me in and out. They actually explained things to me and showed me what they were seeing. They had alot of appts so it was easy to get in. I actually had some success while being under his care!

Dr Check specialized in premature ovarian failure and he was one that looked at my numbers and didnt go right to donor eggs. He actually gave me hope and faith in conceiving and actually knew how to treat this terrible disease. My husband and I actually believe I would be pregnant today if we didnt have to move states and find another doctor.

Dr. Check can seem like an oddball. He is socially awkward and very brainy, but the care that I received at Cooper was wonderful. The nurses took time with me and never made the feel rushed. Everyone was warm and accommodating. Dr. Check was committed to finding out what was wrong and fixing it. If something was unsuccessful, it was evaluated and a new plan of action was created. I felt like everything was explained to me in a digestible manner.
I have been thrilled with the nurses at Dr. Check's office [Cooper Institute], both in New Jersey and Melrose Park, PA. I was disappointed to see that one of the ultrasound techs had recently retired because she felt like family by the time I graduated to my OBGYN.... My IVF with Dr. Check was significantly less expensive than all other clinics that I researched (less than $5,000, including medicines).

During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Jerome Check at Cooper Institute for Reproductive Hormonal Disorders?
I switched to Dr. Check after several years at another clinic that treated its patients with "heard medicine". Dr. Check was committed to finding a solution and to getting us pregnant. I felt respected, heard and cared for while a patient at Cooper.

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
He [Dr. Jerome Check] knows exactly what he’s doing and has a lot of experience and knowledge. He’s willing to try methods that other clinics may not be willing to try. I felt as if he was really invested in my successful outcome. At the same time, he’s not selling u realistic dreams and advises of various outcomes and methods that would work best depending on your situation. I felt very confident that I would end up successful at his practice.
The [Cooper Institute for Reproductive Hormonal Disorders] clinic is very easy to navigate. Getting blood work down is very quick and seamless. The staff is very nice and root for their patients. Wait time is almost nonexistent. The office is a bit outdated, though...The nursing staff if very compassionate and understanding. Sometimes, they have to call with bad news and they don’t take it personal if it’s hard for the patient to process. They are very encouraging.

Their computer system accidentally cancelled my appt. and thus I showed up as a surprise to them. Rather than rescheduling, the doctor [Dr. Check] still saw me and I had a full 2 hour work up and consult...I'm too early in to make a very clear statement but to date he has been very helpful. He has good bedside manner, is knowledgeable and caring. I liked that he was willing to think outside the box and come up with multiple options for moving forward rather than just one.
[Cooper Institute for Reproductive Hormonal Disorders] pricing is extremely reasonable...Caring but they're a tad disorganized. They have a vary skilled physician [Dr. Jerome Clark] who is well experienced with fertility. Hes afforable, thinks outside the box and is caring. He [Dr. Jerome Check] will transfer multiple embryos. He likes day 2 or 3 fresh transfers...he spends a lot of time educating you and seems to care...When he did my pelvic exam and also a pap test, I was alone in the exam room with him and didn't feel very comfortable. There wasn't a nurse with us which I felt was very strange. I would request that if you see him...He uses low dose injectable meds.
it is affordable [at Cooper Institute for Advanced Reproductive Medicine]. Prices are a la carte...They are busy and don't have enough staff to handle the load. They do not use a patient portal or much technology such as email. They seem to have good ultrasound equipment. No one followed up with me or called me back when I was ready to start my cycle so I was not able to start my cycle on time.

Doctor Jerome was compassionate and very understanding of my health and financial situation. But I wish he can communicate more clearly and look at risk factors more closely for each patient. I had success with him but since I was doing natural cycle, he should have looked more closely into my tubes and encouraged me for an HSG...All of my cycles I used ethinyl estradiol and provera/prometrium and regular monitoring. That is due to my high FSH. The cycles I ovulated they put me on Lupron shot progestrone and estrogen in the Luetal phase.
Clinic [Cooper Inst] is very busy. Receptionist is not personable. You have to be on top of things to get good care. You are responsible for your self. Do not expect to be spoon fed...[Nursing Staff] They are good.... They have lots of patients so it is hard for them to remember...I was treated like a human. Most of the nurses know my name, my case....[Cost Of Treatment] Very reasonable and they are very helpful.

He [Dr. Jerome Check] listened to my whole story, celebrated the good and made note of the bad. Was willing to try alternative treatments. And shared notes from each visit with me...He made both my husband and I feel very comfortable and that each step is necessary and normal. He stayed after hours to discuss treatment and even consulted with me over the phone after I gave birth...Adderall to treat inflammation. Synthroid to treat hypothyroid. letrozole, ovidrel, and IUI. Progesterone starting right after ovulation
The nurses at the PA office [of Cooper Institute for Reproductive Hormonal Disorders] arent the nicest. The NJ office is filled with great staff that is easy to talk to and very compassionate...PA office is like an old mansion. It was nice seeing pictures of family and hearing about the human side of Dr. Check. It’s old, but clean and well equipped. The NJ office is new, beautiful and big!...IVF were around 6k. VERY discounted compared to other clinics.

Adored Dr. Check. Treated like a human being. He was so knowledgeable and helpful. He was extremely welcoming...He is very analytical and appreciates a reciprocal effort if you do your homework beforehand. He answered all of my questions in detail...Adored Dr. Jerome Check, took a very personal approach, took time to assess and plan a course of action. Was available anytime to discuss my case.
strength [of Cooper Institute]: very personable, small clinic, very approachable staff, Dr. Check is extremely competent and a gentleman, very open to women over 40. Doesn't just look at statistics to accept patients, finds solutions to enable you to use their clinic. Allows for splitting a donor egg cycle to offset your costs. weakness: far from NY...I opted for Donor Egg immediately as I was 40yo. I chose my own donor for the first procedure but it was unsuccessful. Thereafter I opted for a donor on their list. They have an open format so you can see pictures of their donors along with a medical history. I liked this. The cycle was successful!

[Dr. Jerome Check] took his time and showed research as to why my tubes needed to be removed as to just recommending them to be removed...makes me feel like he's going to try his hardest to make sure that I have a baby...very thorough and comforting and understanding and explained everything...very optimistic about my chances and it made me feel comforted in hopeful again...
[Cooper Institute for Advanced Reproductive Medicine] is a little dated and could use some clearing out old artifacts possibly but other than that it was a clean...first consultation we were there for probably three hours versus a quick in and out...[Dr. Jerome Check] takes their time to talk to you and explain everything...Everyone was very friendly and gave a homey feel...IVF procedure would be like $4,000 the medication would be 2500 and because my insurance doesn't cover anything concerning fertility

He was very thorough and comforting and understanding and explained everything thoroughly. I really only dealt with nurses thus far my treatment was canceled when everything was shut down due to the covid-19 pandemic but from what I've encountered he's very nice warm thorough and makes me feel like he's going to try his hardest to make sure that I have a baby.

The building in PA is a little dated and could use some clearing out old artifacts possibly but other than that it was a clean. And we on our first consultation we were there for probably three hours versus a quick in and out it was very thorough and it was very long. But I guess that's what you get when you have someone who is thorough and takes their time to talk to you and explain everything
Describe the costs associated with your care under Jerome Check at Cooper Institute for Advanced Reproductive Medicine.
The IVF procedure would be like $4,000 the medication would be 2500 and because my insurance doesn't cover anything concerning fertility IVF diagnostic testing or medication I have to pay for my ultrasound and my blood work out of pocket which will be another $2,000 so that grand total brings us to maybe 9000 but if I have other embryos Frozen that'll be another $2,000 for about that gear I may be a year-and-a-half before I have another transfer

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
The first appointment [with Dr. Check] was just a consultation but I ended up getting so much done and even a diagnosis...I was diagnosed with Endometriosis and he prescribed me medicine to help with it. He prescribed me thyroid medicine for hyperthyroidism. My progesterone was low so I am on progesterone. Monitored me very closely. It is possible that my egg is not releasing so if pregnancy wasn't achieved this month I will have hcg injection next month...He took time with me and listened. He ran tests that I hadn't had done by another doctor and explained things well. He gave me a lot of research he had done on a drug that would help my endometriosis which made me feel well informed!
The [nurses at Cooper Institute for Advanced Reproductive Medicine] are so helpful and they truly care. They monitor you closely and are always easy to reach with any questions! Very friendly!...The clinic is very welcoming and professional. It is very organized and they are helpful when you are new and don't know how things work. My one and only complaint would be the billing/ payment side is a little odd. Not bad just not like most doctors offices so that takes some getting use to...With Dr. Check I feel cared for. The first appointment was just a consultation but I ended up getting so much done and even a diagnosis. They want to get you pregnant!

[Dr. Check] was very through and explained everything. Every visit was a good experience and I didnt feel like a number. It was a bit if a drive for me but worth the trip. I would reccommend his practice to others suffering from infertility like I am.... He was my 3rd doctor who told me I have PCOS. He wanted to try ovulation induction but my husband & I couldnt afford it....He was my 3rd doctor who told me I have PCOS. He wanted to try ovulation induction but my husband & I couldnt afford it.
I communicated with them [nursing staff at Cooper Institute] a bit. They were all lovely....Since I only had a consultation, I just paid my co-pay. However for the procedure we were reccomended it was around $4,000 per round.... Strengths would be Dr.Checks passion to help. He recorded the conversation and send me a cooy of it via email. I dont have any weaknesses to name. With every new patient everything can be overwhelming during this journey. I’d say relax because you’re in good hands.
