[Strong Fertility Center (U of Rochester) is] Affiliated with large academic center and quality labs....Office hours on saturday and early mornings before regular work schedule...run more like a machine, less personal during such a personal and emotional process...error when I shipped sperm to the clinic. They accepted the sperm tank and mistakenly stored it under my wife's name, and did not realize, so for about a day they stated they never received my delivery, when I had Fedex confirmation of delivery.

[staff of Strong Fertility Center] When leaving message with answering service I have always received a call back in a timely manner...My insurance covered the visit, bloodwork, and IUI. I only paid for donor sperm and my copay. In total I think I spent around $3,000...[clinic error] I had blood work done for gene testing and was never notified of results. Also when I came in for the scheduled blood test, they had scheduled me for an ultrasound appointment instead of bloodwork. Everyone was very helpful and fixed the mistake and I was seen anyway.

After many years of treatment at this clinic [Strong Fertility Center] I’ve gotten to know the staff. Each of these nurses are caring and compassionate. They’re organized and responsive...The waiting room is a little worn out and needs a makeover. Waiting time is always relatively short and I’m in and out quickly. They always make time for me when I have work schedule conflicts and treatments that need to be done...I have PCOS and suffered multiple miscarriages due to mistakes other docs made. We came to Dr. Queenan after no one else would give us any direction. He suggested we do PGS and that we time our transfers differently. We worked together to find a protocol that we felt comfortable with. It’s because of him that we now have our miracle baby. We have started treatment with him for baby number 2.

The clinic [Strong Fertility Center] was very clean, and modern. The waiting room was nice and very spacious (so you didn’t have to sit on top of other nervous people!) It did take almost 3 months to get an appointment though.... After my appointments the nurse would come in and explain things again which was nice. They do have a phlebotomist there who is horrible. She insisted I had terrible veins and took my blood from my hand. And every time I had blood drawn from her it was very painful. I’ve never had any issues with having my blood drawn before I met her.

Appointments and getting in when you need to was a piece of cake. Nurses and reception are always and easily reachable by phone. The facility and rooms are clean, professional and warm. The clinic exudes experience.... After the first few months of visits the nursing staff seemed like a group of friends that you’re just going to hang out with for a bit. They knew you by name. They cared about what you were going through.

They [nurses at Strong Fertility Center] were nice and professional...We spent $4000 on PGS...They [staff] are very knowledgeable, and they care about their patients. However, I feel like sometimes they are too confident, and tend not to listen to their patients. I was a textbook case, so I had a success with their treatment. However, sometimes I wonder if they believed what I said (I told them I had implantation issues, and they did not believe), and fixed my implantation issues, if we still needed IVF which is stressful and painful.

They [nursing staff at Strong Fertility Center] are knowledgeable and efficient; however, they see so many individuals throughout the day they do seem rushed...My IVF cycle package cost $6500 (one egg retrieval and two transfers). I spent an extra $4500 on PGS testing and $4000 on medications. I also spent $1500 on FET medications...The clinic is extremely efficient. The downside is they see so many patients in one day it can be easy to feel like a number. They always called when they said they would and returned my calls within a timely manner.

The clinic [Strong Fertility Center] offers free support groups and counseling with LMHC. It is centrally located. Front end staff are very pleasant and kind. Nurse Practitioners also very helpful ... She [nurse] is very organized and explains everything in great detail. She demonstrates compassion and understanding on this difficulty Journey ... An option [eset] is not provided and we were told one would be inserted

The intake nurses [at Strong Fertility Center in Rochester] can be very gruff, they rarely introduce themselves. The paperwork is confusing and uses medical lingo. You have to ask them to use lay language sometimes....paid out of pocket for donor eggs $10k. Remaining IVF procedures covered under insurance....He's [Dr. John Queenan] pretty good about introducing himself, tries to be conversational and resorts to a jokey humor that is distratcting. His procedures tend to be more painful than with other doctors. That is to say I think he could be more gentle.

Dr Queenan is a great RE but if you don't fit into his plan he doesn't offer many alternatives. He basically gave up on us. After a few unsuccessful cycles he told me I needed a gestational carrier and that it would be too expensive for us.... I went to this practice [Strong Fertility Center] for 5 years and nurses still didn't know my name..... Every time I did a cycle there were errors with my plan. One time I took the wrong dose of meds because it was wrong in my plan. One time my plan got mailed to the wrong address! They said I must have moved, which of course I didn't.

The clinic [at Strong Fertility Center] is great. It’s overwhelming and a lot to handle but your success is what they want! They are routing for you. I liked the entire staff and felt comfortable with them. I recommend the Strong Fertility clinic and staff to anyone struggling....The entire team at Strong Fertility was really outstanding and we are truly grateful for what they’ve done for us. Their compassion was so helpful during our hardest times.
