He is very knowledgeable in this area. He doesn’t waver at anything or hesitate to answer. I haven’t asked a question he doesn’t know the answer to. If I did, I’m confident he would research it and get back with me. He is confident without being cocky.

He listens to you and supports any choice you choose.

When doing a Timed Intercource Cycle, he has had me take Clomid, always does bloodwork and ultrasound to see where we stand. Then I’m instructed when to take Ovidrel (to induce ovulation.) None have produced a pregnancy yet, but I’m confident it still will based on the tests run and the fact that he says everything looks good and healthy.

Bloodwork and genetic testing were expensive, around $2500 for myself and $2500 for my husband. My insurance changed and it became more expensive each time, whether it was blood drawn or blood and ultrasound, it was all the same price (over $100)

Dr. Skorupski was very knowledgeable about the different fertility treatments. Due to the fact that during the primary set of testing he found out that I had a low ovarian reserve, he recommended me to do IVF instead of other treatments. After the first unsuccessful retrieval (which he didn't perform), he gave me the time I needed to regroup. He was very patient to explain the steps to move forward, if I wished to do so. After Dr. Skorupski's explanations about the change in medications for the second round of IVF, my husband and I decided to give it one chance. This time, Dr. Skorupski performed the retrieval and everything was great!

If you're trying to conceive, Dr. Skorupski would be a great doctor visit and ask him all the questions you have about the different fertility treatments, as well as the one he would recommend to you based on your specific situation.

He was very thorough through the testing and prediagnosing process. He explained the reasons why he was having me do them, and the pros and cons to all of them. He made time and effort to evaluate my husband to rule out all factors that may be influencing a non-pregnancy. He always answered a question if I had one, and was quick to respond. His bed side manner was completely professional. I never felt uncomfortable with him in the room. He would personally call if there was a set back, and explained everything to my husband and I, so that we could have exact clarity on what was going on. It was greatly appreciated.

Just be honest and be trusting. Dr. Skorupski is super supportive and will be glad to explain anything you need to know.

For the consultation after we gave him the information, he had me sent for blood work and confirmed the current diagnosis of PCOS. From there he put me on a birth control to help regulate a cycle to start looking into treatments. I had already gone through pill related cycles previously with another OB/GYN and told him I had absolute no success. He then had me schedule a hysteroscopy to text the structure, Fallopian tubes, uterus etc. he was able to explain the results very thoroughly which gave me some answers I didn’t even know I needed. He proceeded to start me on a Gonal-f cycle to which the first round I didnt respond to. He had me try another Gonal F cycle to which the dosage was higher and I ended up over stimulating. With cautionary measure, he wanted to keep me monitored and kept up with me 3x a week for ultrasound and blood work visits (for every cycle I participated in). For the 3rd cycle he advised to try IUI and pretty much did the same process. He monitored the dosage of the gonal-f to prevent overstimulation again, and did that petty successfully. When it was time for IUI, I felt very comfortable and eased through the process. After the IUI failure, he wanted to check my husband a little more thoroughly while letting my ovaries heal. Since the failure, he’s prescribed a medication. For the next IUI round, however due to the high AMH levels I contain, Dr. Skorupski did explain that IVF would be a better option for us. Since the. We haven’t been back to see him. Not because of anything he did, we just can’t financially get IVF on our own at this time, hence the application for this grant.

Pros: -He is extremely patient and knowledgeable. I researched conditions, and treatment EXTENSIVELY before each visit, and came prepared with questions of whatever I did not understand. -He took the time to explain medical terminology, as well as the results of all of our blood work, and the next steps of treatment. - He is very transparent. Cons: -Thus far, I have not had any negative experiences.

Write down all of your concerns, and questions before visits. He will take the time to address and answer them.

We have just completed the diagnostic phase. After all of the testing and procedures, we met with Dr. Skorupski and he explained the IVF was our best option for getting pregnant. Below is an explanation of the testing that my husband and I have completed. 1. Medicated cycle - He gave me Provera to induce ovulation. He wanted to check my hormone pre, during, and post ovulation. 2.Genetic screening- to determine if I suffer from or am a carrier for any diseases. 3. Semen Analysis (2) -To access the count, motility, and morphology of the sperm and also determine if male factor is present. 4. Hysteroscopy- To see if there is tubal blockage, or polyps on the tubes. A biopsy was also performed. 5. Hormonal blood test as a result of semen analysis- to determine if there were any hormonal issues leading to abnormal semen analysis. 6. Consult with Skorupski to go over results of hysterospcopy and lab work. Fertility treatment suggestion of IVF was made at this appointment. 7.Meeting with genetic specialist.

We have started the IVF process yet. We will be starting late October/early November. I was quoted $14000-$18000 ( if we decide to do PGS testing) But for visits and the hysteroscopy, we have spent roughly about $2700.

I have not discussed this with him yet.

I would (and do) highly recommend Dr Skorupski. Very good communicator, patient with questions, used non-medical terms to help me understand, and was always open with risks. He never guaranteed success (something no one should promise) but was always optimistic.

2016 cycle: can’t remember the medication but we used injections and had an egg retrieval. Due to hyperstimulation, we froze all embryos. We transferred two (we picked boy/girl) after hormone prep (estrogen patch, estrogen pill, and PIO) and had a successful pregnancy/Delivery. 2018: first cycle was cancelled after I did not respond to hormone prep. Second cycle we used gonal f for stimulation, then added estrogen and PIO after trigger shot. Transfer of one tested embryo results in negative preganancy test. Third cycle, we went back to hormone prep but added a viagra vaginal suppository. Transfer of one tested embryo resulted in negative pregnancy test. Fourth cycle, we have done a miscarriage panel and discovered Factor 2 mutation. We went back to gonal f for stimulation plus viagra suppository, Plaquenil, lovenox, and baby aspirin. We transferred two untested embryos and are in the two week wait

Dr is very knowledgeable, knows how to communicate the process, what to expect, both the good and potential bad. He was very involved from start until now. For any challenges I was having, the doctor would call me personally if the news was not good. He as always very supportive and happy to say, I am 6 weeks pregnant.

He is very patient and understanding.

Because I was already in peri menopause, doc was very deliberate in everything knowing my age was a huge factor in timing. I did a total of 4 transfers, the first resulting in a chemical pregnancy, the next two resulted in no implantation at all. With each attempt, he adjusted or added to my meds. For our fourth and last attempt , we decided to include Neupogen shot and it worked. I am on Estrace, Mineville patch, Plaqinel, baby aspirin, Lovunox shots, progesterone in oil shots.

$10,450 for the donor for eggs, $5,500 for PGS testing. This was not covered by insurance. $1300 for medications not covered by insurance. Each transfer was approximately $6,000. Insurance covered all after deductible and out of pocket were met.

Due to my donors age, there concerns about more than one transfer, higher % of embryo splitting. So first two attempts we only transferred one. Knowing my timing was limited , we decided to transfer two on our third attempt which did not work. We had two embryos left so transferred both on our fourth attempt and we had one that did implant. Currently six weeks pregnant.

I felt like he did care about the well-being of my overall health as well as my husband but still felt like all of my problems were being blamed on my weight rather than doing more testing. He is a very kind doctor & I believe he wants the best for his patients but I just couldn’t get over the fat shaming I felt. He was thorough when explaining problems or what he believed were our problems conceiving as well as my multiple miscarriages but I never felt like we had a real plan besides the constant comment of “I need to lose weight”.

Be prepared before going in to your appointments. Write down questions, concerns, anything you can think of, that way you don’t get flustered & forget in the moment. Bring someone to advocate for you if you need. It can help tremendously.

Most of my testing was done out of pocket. I can’t remember if insurance covered anything specific.

I liked him because he explained my diagnose, but not the procedure because i didn’t know what to expect. He does show compassion, and listened to my question and complains. When my husband and I went we asked him to fill our some forms for a grant and he said he would, but at the end we didn’t qualify for it.

Make sure he explains the procedure you’ll be getting done. And whatever you do try to avoid Dr. Bello in Houston.

HFI Willowbrook is a busy clinic, but everyone who you come in contact there is wonderful. They are busy because they do a great job! Dr. Skorupski has my complete trust and he has always been very open, honest, and matter-of-fact.

Listen to his advice! We wasted time initially not listening to him, and I wish we would've heeded his advice earlier.

I came to Dr. Skorupski due to recurrent pregnancy loss. He recommended IVF with PGS, but allowed us to attempt some medicated cycles first since we weren't "there" yet. I recently had my first transfer and am awaiting results.

Monitoring appointments were always in the morning, and typically you get your lab work first. Then you go back to the waiting room until it is time for the ultrasound. If a doctor is in, they perform the ultrasound, otherwise it is a nurse.

IVF plus medication and PGS testing ended up costing about $30,000 out of pocket

Dr. Skorupski recommended 1 embryo since it was PGS tested, but ultimately left the choice to us.

Josh Skorupski is a good listener. He explains to his patients, in detail, all the options on the table, and also the risks. He asks for exams, and when the results are out there, he takes time to explain the diagnosis. My experience with him personally was not bad. This assessment says a lot, because I could be somehow biased against him, because I did an IUI procedure at least 3 times, and the result was negative. At the time, my Husband was working overseas, while I was leaving alone, and jobless, with no real support system, beside a cousin of mine. So I felt a little bit traumatized by the outcome. During the first 2 visits, my husband came with me. We had prepared several questions, and Dr Skorupski replied to each of them to our satisfaction. I did many exams, and so did my husband. There was no red flag for me, while my husband had low sperm count. Josh Skorupski recommended to avoid stressfull situations, exercise, and sleep regularly. We did our first IUI before my husband return trip, and it was negative. When my husband returned to Houston, his sperm count had significantly improved, and was normal. We did the 2nd IUI and it still failed. the HFI froze my husband semen, and I did a 3rd IUI, which also failed. SO, that's a summary of my experience with Dr Skorupski. I believe he did what he had to. But we were just unlucky.

I would say, do your research, and come prepare with your questions on your first visit. Dr Skorupski will always ask you about your questions.

We did IUI 3 times. Before each procedure, Dr Skorupski made me use folic acid, or Clomiphene. Then during the procedure, I was injected hormones like endometrin.

I did IUI conception procedure. So, we never reached to the level of embryo transfers.

Dr. Skorupski made us feel very important in each meeting we had. He took his time in explaining everything and did it in a way that we could understand. He was very caring and let us choose our own course of treatment. He just explained all the details/percentages/etc and let us go home to decide. We never felt rushed to make a choice. He is very compassionate.

Bring all questions to your appointments. He is very willing to answer anything you want to know.

He immediately started with blood work and scheduled a consultation to go over results within a week. He sent my husband to do the same. He has been very proactive in every step of the way. He's been very easy to get in touch with, too.

The costs were cheaper than I expected. I even received a discount for being a teacher.

We have no completed this part of our treatment yet.

He was good, I just sort of felt like he was after our money. He wanted us to jump strait to IVF and didn't offer any natural alternatives that we could try. But, he may be right that IVF is the only option for us if we want to have kids. I am currently saving up for it now. It is going to take two-three years for me to earn enough money to pay for IVF out of pocket.

He is good, he's just very matter of fact, so you have to be ready to hear that.

I only got a hysteroscopy. I didn't get to do anything else because I didn't have the funds and didn't want to be in debt. For my hysteroscopy, everything went great. I was very pleased with the results.

Over 2,000 when it was all over with.

Dr Skorupski is amazing. He will get the job done no problem. You always see him every visit. He will tell you that your infertility is not your burden anymore and that he will handle it. That is such a relief Staff in the beaumont office needs better training and the financial department you literally have to stay on them. But the doctors can not be held responsible for the lack of a good staff it falls on the administrator. I'm not there for the staff just the great doctors they have .

Make sure you go in there being aggressive and not passive. Know what you want and have your finances in order and ready to go.

We are still starting our process. We have done lab work and a hysteroscopy. One thing I like is Dr Skorupski leaves no stone unturned.

Very expensive but all the clinics in the area are pricey .

We had switched from another provider who was more aggressive with the IVF process and it left me scared to move forward and Dr. S. made sure he explained every situation to me so I wasn't afraid. Right after I started seeing Dr. S and started my infertility journey, I was in a bad car accident that derailed my IVF procedures for a few years. Dr Skorupski maintained by care and continued to track my blood and also helped with his own opinions on how to heal and to get better following that accident. I was experiencing seizures and other issues with my adrenal glands so we halted treatment. He listened to my google search rants, and allowed me to have anxiety and he never acted like I was dramatic. He always seemed like a friend who was eager to know what was happening and how we could achieve my goal. Once I felt healthy to move forward, we put in my first egg in December 2021,and it didn't take. Then in March of 2022, we put in my last egg and we changed the treatment to include a few more medications like the baby glue, blood thinner shots and Plaquenil. This time it worked and I was blessed with a little girl. She is 11 months old next week!

Let him tell you what he thinks is the best option. He is right. You can try to research it yourself and he will listen but this man knows what he is doing! Try to find trust in him and know he is there for you.

I had many exploratory surgeries, laparoscopy and saline hystoscope....After my first egg didn't take, I had a feeling that it was because of low Progesterone. Once the second egg was put in I asked to come in two days later ( instead of a week later) because I was getting a sensation that my period was starting just like with the first egg. They told me to come in and did blood work and found that I needed to go from 200 Progesterone up to 800! Thank the Lord I came in that day to do it because I believe it was why the first egg didn't work. I wore an estrogen patch and took a estrogen pill once a day with the progesterone shots in the butt and the vaginal ones. Along with Plaquenil ( which we stopped at 12 weeks because it made me so sick I lost 12lbs), blood thinner shot.

In the 5 years we did IVF, surgeries, and treatment I believe we spent around $30K ( IVF Process) - 60,000. It sounds like a lot but I had: A Laparoscopy, Saline Hysteroscopy, Egg Retrieval, PGS Testing of 8 eggs, medicine for two egg transfers, extra bloodwork from family issues, and finally a singleton birth so medicine for 12 weeks.

For myself only having two frozen embryos after we did PGS testing on the 6 I had. Dr. S wanted us to do one at a time.

I trust my doctor with my life I know he does everything he can to make sure we get to goal and that’s to carry full term and birthing a baby you can tell he loves what he do with a passion and he truly cares about each and everyone of his patients I can’t wait until COVID-19 ends to start our FET again see you soon

Doctor Josh Skorupski is here to help. He went into infertility medicine after watching a close family member suffer the pain of infertility. He truly wants to help all achieve their goals and will do everything in his power to do that. He's a brilliant doctor that works with understanding and passion.

We are just in the testing stage at the moment.

They have a financial consultant that you can talk to at any time and also a patient portal with all your information.

He was very upfront with all options and course of plan. He never pushed anything on us, gave us all the options and information we needed so that we could make an informed decision and feel good about it. He was always very positive and helpful and went above and beyond to help out. Currently doing a embryo transfer from out of town, he has made this process so easy and gone out of his way to make this process as easy as possible for being out of town.

We tried one round of clomid and timed intercourse. I did not respond to the medication. We tried Femara as well and I did not ovulate. So we met with him after that treatment to come up with a new game plan. He said we could try IUI with injectables or go right to IVF. He said some people don’t do ivf bc of religious reasons. He said that a couple rounds of injections/IUI could run the same cost as IVF. He said he was confident he could get me pregnant with ivf, it was just a matter of how soon we wanted to be so pregnant. So we opted to go right to IVF. My first ivf cycle was a complete success. 53 eggs retrieved, 28 embryos, and 18 made it to freeze. I had a successful frozen embryo transfer, ended with a live Singleton birth.

My insurance did not cover IVF or the injections. My overall cost for monitoring, egg retrieval, year storage,PGS Testing FET, meds, and monitoring until 13 weeks pregnant was around $28,000

He recommended we only put on in because of my age and the fact it was my first attempt and I had never been pregnant before

He is a great doctor. Sometimes I was unsure on instructions as they weren't clearly given, but he always answers all questions I may have. He always makes it a point to see me even when they are busy.

Definitely go and at least have a consultation. He is very knowledgeable.

My first fertility treatment was a round of Clomid and Dr. Skorupski noticed that my body didn't do well with it, so we changed to a better medicine the next time.
