Yes, yes, and 100%. My pronouns were always used appropriately and respectful language was used all the time. Furthermore, I did not feel discriminated, but on the contrary it was nice not having to explain my care needs.

Progyny covered it all.

Dr. Lekovich is incredibly intelligent, kind, and an overall badass superhero doctor! She was very patient with me and made me feel like I was in excellent, expert hands throughout the process. She was also my husband's provider, and I felt the same level of care from her throughout both our processes.

Don't be disappointed if you don't see her for every appointment.

Antagonist stim protocol. 225IU gonal f in the morning + 150-225IU menopur in the evening with ultrasound and bloodwork monitoring every 1-3 days, 250mcg cetrotide in the evenings starting around day 7, then trigger shots (novarel + leuprolide acetate) 36h before retrieval procedure. Not sure what the rationale was, but had 26 oocytes retrieved (not yet sure how many frozen).

Yes; Dr. Lekovich also provided care to my transgender partner and went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable and respected throughout a potentially triggering process.

Very efficient system for monitoring appointments. As a doctor myself, I was impressed with how smooth their flow was. Also very easily to reschedule monitoring appointments or change them to a different clinic location.

Our costs were 100% covered by Progyny, but the general breakdown the clinic provided us was ~$9500 all labwork/monitoring/consultations/procedure, ~$4000-$8000 medications, ~$900 anesthesia fee

I don’t believe she looked over my husband’s or my medical history thoroughly before diagnosing us. She was late for our second zoom meeting. I didn’t feel like she had good bedside manners. After my second meeting with her, I felt like it was made to feel bad because of my age and my egg count.

Get second opinion.

At the start of my iui procedure, when I went on and took a blood test on day 2 and then I was prescribed clomid for 5 days. On the 7th day, I went back to the clinic had an ultrasound. They checked my egg follicles. They told me to come back in two days for the procedure. After I left the clinic, 7 hours later they called me and told me several of my eggs are maturing around the same time. If I waited two days later, I run the risk of multiple pregnancies. So, I need to make a decision right away and start the IUI procedure the very next day. So, I had to take the Ovidrel that night and also was prescribed V-estrace. Then the next day, my husband and I went back, we did the IUI process.

I saw Dr. Jovana Lekovich in April 2021, and explained to her that I wanted to get a full workup so that I could get a better idea of the state of my fertility, given that I was almost 35. She was cordial (if not that warm) and seemed very knowledgeable about the topic of fertility. She ordered the full workup of hormone testing and also performed one ultrasound (during the 1st visit). She told me that my egg reserve appeared normal and suggested another ultrasound in a 2- 3 weeks because there was something blocking her view of one of the fallopian tubes. During the 1st visit, she also discussed my family history and explain that lab tests done in a doctor's office are generally more reliable than at- home lab tests, which I had a few of prior to making this visit. One area where my experience fell short was the recommendation by the doctor to have genetic testing performed. She said that I should have genetic testing done (and when I asked her wasn't that only for pregnant women, she said that it was a good idea for everyone). Dr. Lekovich didn't explain or provide much context for the genetic testing that she recommended - I would later learn that this was "expanded carrier testing" and considered elective/experimental by most health insurers, and thus not covered by insurance. The only other thing that was off was the doctor's comment that maybe I wasn't trying hard enough to conceive. I felt that this was a bit presumptive but maybe that was just me. I feel that my overall experience with Dr. Lekovich was positive, if brief. She obviously has expertise with fertility topics and the various types of infertility and related medical conditions. While her bedside manner is a bit lacking, she is very intelligent and knowledgeable in the field of reproductive endocrinology, and that is what matters to me.

I would say to ask as many questions as you can about recommended tests or procedures, before agreeing to have them done. I would also say to not expect Dr. Lekovich to hold your hand at any point during the process.

Dr. Lekovich is straight forward but kind. She does not talk down to you and will explain everything going on. For all the major procedures (retrievals, transfers) she was the one doing it. Monitoring and IUI was done by rotating doctors.

Ask questions and advocate for yourself. This is a big clinic and there is no hand holding. Dr. Lekovich is smart and committed but it’s not a mom and pop shop so you need to be assertive at times.

I did 2 medicated timed intercourse cycles and 2 medicated IUI’s mainly for insurance purposes. These cycles resulted in negative pregnancy tests. I had two ICSI, PGT, freeze-all cycles. The first one only yielded 1 day-5 PGT normal embryo. She adjusted the medication for next Egg Retrieval and I ended up with 4 day-5 PGT normal embryos. I was happy to have an adjustment and better results. My first embryo transfer ended in chemical pregnancy. The second one she added Lupron and I have an ongoing pregnancy from that cycle.

Monitoring varied a great deal. Sometimes it was empty sometimes it was literally standing room only.

I lost track of how much money we spent. We had some insurance coverage but still paid around 15-20 thousand total.

Dr. Lekovich was a very strong proponent of aSET.

I was very blessed to have Dr. Lekovich as a doctor. From the beginning she diagnosed me with Vaginismus, she gave me a detailed plan to overcome it so that I could start to have fertility treatments. My ability to overcome this complicated illness is due to her help and guidance. She encouraged me to continue and now after one IVF Treatment with her, I am pregnant. She is very thorough and compassionate. She was easily accessible to me which was also very important. She also understood the religious laws that my religion has regarding fertility treatments, and she was sensitive to all of them. She had a great sense of humor, always listened to me, and she had a positive outlook on my treatment. She was very thorough during the treatment making sure that we did everything we needed to succeed. I followed her advice and now I am pregnant with my first child.

Make an appointment and then let her walk you through how to succeed in your treatment. You can be open with her about any issues that you think are hindering you from having children, and she will work with you closely to solve them.

IVF has two parts, an egg retrieval part in which as many eggs as possible are retrieved, and a Transfer part in which the Embryo is transferred into a woman's uterus. During the egg retrieval part of my treatment, I went for monitoring every day, and based on my blood levels and ultrasounds, Dr. Lekovich would make the necessary changes to the doses in my treatment. During the transfer stage, I had to go to monitoring a few times a week. Dr. Lekovich made sure to do everything possible to get optimal results.

Since RMA has many offices, we did our monitoring in Long Island, which was closer to us.

Dr. Lekovich's approach with regard to the amount of embryos transferred is based on a model that RMA follows. Since my wife was young, she only put in one embryo for the transfer.

Dr. Lekovich explains everything that is going to happen in detail. She is not a fan of medicating if it not necessary. All of my IUIs were done just with Ovidrel. She would have allowed me to take more meds if i really wanted to but she didn't feel it was necessary. I appreciate that she doesn't just fill up every patient with hormones without considering side-effects and the change for multiples. She is very direct and clear. She does not coddle or spend a lot of time on letting her patients feel bad and disappointed. She just moves on to the next step in the plan, which i appreciate but may bot be for everyone. for my actual IUIs, she only performed one and other doctors did the other two. I would have preferred that she be able to do all of them, but the other doctors were equally qualified and kind.

Ask a lot of questions! She will explain them. Make a list for every meeting.

I did 3 IUIs using only Ovidrel because I have no ovulation issues. They all resulted in negatives, but I am 40 so that doesn't really surprise me too much. We are now moving on to IVF.

Each IUI was around $300.

Dr. Lekovich is always honest and clear in her approach, along with reasoning for why she implements specific treatment planning. She is available through email, is quick to respond, and always always makes us feel at ease after each communication.

Ask any question and express any concern you may have. Dr. Lekovich has a wealth of knowledge regarding infertility/fertility treatment. She will be able to provide you with research backing her decision making and treatment planning. She will also address all questions or concerns without making you feel overwhelmed by information or as if it is an inconvenience.

My first cycle began with birth-control, then Gonal-F and Cetritide and Menopur. My second round involved E2 patches, Clomid, Gonal-F, and Menopur, the most successful and resulting in 12 retrieved, 3 tested, 3 frozen embryos.

There are quite a few people in the waiting room on some day, but then no one other than my self others. I typically go first thing when the doors open and have found it to be very easy and smooth. The women who draw your blood are amazing. They never hurt me, always remember me and ask questions that make me feel at ease in the experience.

Insurance covered all but $7000 of each round, not including medications which came to approx $250/round.

We would definitely see Dr. Lekovich again in the future if we decide to expand our family. She was very confident and competent. We had a few issues trusting the process due to multiple unexplained losses that happened at another clinic, but Dr. Lekovich was very positive that we could carry to term and she was right.

Go to the Brooklyn office if possible. We did some monitoring at Madison because of a move and Covid, but the Brooklyn office is much more intimate and it's better to see your doctor regularly. For our last cycle, we ended up driving over to Brooklyn and it was worth it to see Dr. Lekovich and discuss our concerns with her directly.

After our first cycle failed, we went with a "kitchen sink" approach, just in case I had some sub-clinical endometritis. While it was intense in terms of a medicated cycle, it ultimately worked for us.

As a lesbian couple who were also experiencing unexplained infertility, we felt like we were in good hands with Dr. Lekovich. There were always other gay couples in the waiting room and we felt the doctor was very well versed in LGBT issues.

Appointments and monitoring in Brooklyn we're great. Even when crowded it was an easy process. At Madison it felt much more like a cattle call. Very full office and long waits.

For our first cycle we were out of pocket for 50% and the second was fully covered.

For our situation, Dr. Lekovich would not perform multiple embryo transfers though we did ask. However, having now gone through a pregnancy with a singleton, I'm glad for this policy.

We weren't thrilled with the communication for shipping sperm from our cryobank to RMA. They will not confirm receipt and not respond to the email you need to send them to let them know vials are on the way. We had to jump through hoops to make sure our materials arrived and it did not help us with entrusting the clinic. (We had a totally different experience at Weill Cornell where everything was communicated so clearly and signed off on and we were expecting something similar.)

During the consultation she provided research information on the two options which she has provided us. She also referred us to a specialist for additional surgery/ second opinion and also provided us with research about treatment with out without the surgery. she was not pushy with the options and let us make the decision. She is a firm believer about having 1 embryo implanted and voiced her concerns about twins. she was also open about adjusting medication according to reactions and what not. she is very forward and will let you know if she agrees with some things or not. I like that she is up to date on research and current treatment options. I do like that she does not do duplication of testing if it came back normal/out dated.

I personally thought that i would meet with MD herself. When entering the room, she introduced us to a medical student. I was not informed about her and it honestly made the visit awkward and the student looked bored and made faces during the consult. I wish they would allow the patient to consent prior to the visit. I found it insensitive.

IVF

I had medical insurance and had an office visit and some testing done in the office. I did not do any treatment.

MD wanted 1 embryo transferred and i was inquiring about multiple. I explained why multiple and she dismissed it and explained her reasoning. She also reported that I am young and dont need to worry about doing treatment.... I wish she would have explained reasoning for 1 embryo vs.2 and to explain it deeper (in regards to my previous treatments/diagnosis). I felt it was very one sided on that decision and i was uncomfortable with her approach to that.

She’s very detailed during the paid visits. However, IVF Cycle for us was more of a disappointment since we didn’t get much of details of what is going on and what to expect next. Retrieved egg count was pretty low compared to the follicles were counted in the last visits.

Explicitly have her tell you the amount of eggs to be retrieved at every visit so you can have a chance to cancel before going in for retrieval.

First in first out. You dont know which doctor is on duty. Somewhat rushed.

More than 20K

The doctor's strength and weaknesses cannot be conflated with the weaknesses of the clinic. The Doctor checked in, followed up, and kept me informed throughout the process. During one cycle of retrieval I barely saw her and she made sure to reach out.

Email is a good way to get ahold of her - the nurse can always connect you as well. She is forthright and will not sugar coat it - but does it warmly and with compassion.

I used Gonal F, Menopure and Cetrocide towards the end of the retrieval. I was also on Lovonox 60mg to prevent blood clots due to Factor 5. I can try to look back and provide more information but it was approx 2 menopure vials at night, 300mg gonal f in the mornings and that increased towards the end.

It was morningtime before work. I was lucky enough to live walkable to the location. The phlebotomist at this location was the BEST - pain free, didn't leave marks, always quick. It took longer for the ultrasounds depending on what time you arrived, but never TOO long. The weekend hours were at the Madision Avenue location were a cluster and cattle call. Jam packed, call out your name large system. It was disappointing there were no hours at the BK location.

This is tricky, insurance initially denied. So the costs of that were 15,000 for the first round of retrieval. 6,000 for PGD/PGS. But then that got discounted because I did not do transfer, so the second round cost less. With insurance finally being fought and won. The PGD was not covered, but the co-insurance was only 1,500 per retrieval round. So for three rounds 4,500.

Dr. Lekovich was able to answer questions that I had in a kind and professional way . I love that she seems to know her patients by name even when she’s not in the examining room . My only gripe would be that she doesn’t answer emails when it’s sent . I ended up asking my question in person but it works have been nice to get a reply via email .

Have your questions ready to ask her . She is very quick to answer questions .

The antagonist protocal was used for my treatment . I used Gonal F, Menopur , Cetrotide along with trigger shots Lupton and Oviidrel. The idea was to increase the amount of eggs for a successful cycle . It worked ! Just hoping that a healthy embryo will be the result .

Monitoring hours were a pain because of my work schedule . I wished that the monitoring hours were more flexible .

My insurance covered some of my costs . The outstanding costs were mostly the ICSI ,PGS anesthesia and genetic testing .

Dr Lekovich is warm and smart. She understood my history of trauma and vaginismus and made me feel oriented. To every procedure and also the whole process. I’m so glad she was my doctor. I saw another doctor elsewhere prior and they didn’t explain the science of eggs and quantity and quality for someone at my age. I felt much more oriented with Jovana and was glad to work with her instead.

Bring questions because she will have answers. And ask for advice because she had it to give. I even admitted i botched one of my shots and she found one at the clinic to replace it for me. Also she didn’t make me feel bad for messing up my injection

I haven’t seen the bills yet. but i has progyny and everything was covered and not worrisome

Dr. Lekovich was amazing. She was incredibly compassionate when I had a miscarriage (from a natural pregnancy) and helped me get a plan of action going right away with ivf so I could get pregnant as quickly as possible. She even went the extra mile to email late on Friday night to let me know that all three of my embryos came back chromosomally normal, news I had anxiously been awaiting. I felt she always genuinely cared how I was doing as her patient.

IVF with genetic testing and frozen transfer. I had had 3 miscarriages from spontaneous pregnancies as a result of chromosomal abnormalities so testing the embryos before transfer was a must.

Dr. Lekovich was great in terms of taking time to answer my questions and she was compassionate to my situation. I feel like what was not communicated to me was the possible outcomes after the retrieval in terms of what to expect regarding the number of eggs retrieved, embryos fertilized and how many may not be viable.

Due to my situation, she tried to be as aggressive as possible while being safe to retrieve enough eggs to give us options.

Approximately $18,000 for the cycle including $750 for anesthesia. Medications ranged an additional $5000-6000.

Her strengths include her compassion and knowledge. She explains things very well. Her weakness so far is that I have not had a child yet. My treatment continues with her and am looking forward to the outcome.

Communicate with her directly if necessary. Her staff may not be as receptive as she is.

For my last treatment we used a Lupron protocol - the rationale was that she wanted to completely suppress my hormones due to the endometriosis found. By suppressing my hormones the goal was to closely regulate my hormones during my cycle.

I had no choice on the approach to eSet. During my last transfer I would have liked to have a multiple embryo transfer.

She is friendly and understanding. She took her time with my husband and I and gave us thorough explanations. She is excellent at putting me at ease, which I experienced when doing the saline sonogram. Years ago I had a terrible experience with the hsg and was nervous. She is good at making conversation and is pleasant all around. I had Dr. Copperman before, she is a million times better.

Nothing in particular

She has used gonal f, menopur, lupron. This cycle she upped the menopur, isnt doing lupron, and is doing cetrotide. She started this cycle earlier (I was on the pill for less time) This is the second IVF cycle I have done with her.

Pretty efficient. It is from 7 - 8:30 in the morning, which has been difficult as I live in queens.

Costs are very expensive, over 15,000 per cycle, not including medications and the anesthesiologist. I have gotten a discount through using Bonei Olam, but it is still very expensive.

After having my miscarriage, I set an appointment to meet with her again. She was so compassionate and helpful with getting me to understand why. At the end of the conversation I told her I wish she could follow me to the end of any of my pregnancy (delivery room) and she laughed and said me too.

Follow her instructions and you will be successful.

I use clomid and then ovidrel when they told me I was ready to do IUI.

I cannot remember actual number but she did take my insurance. Some part I had to pay out of pocket for.

I found it very comforting that she was sympathetic with my apprehension regarding the ultrasound exam, and even had her nurse hold my hand during the procedure. I think that she was able to explain the realistic expectations that I could have regarding potential success of a cycle.

Be prepared to hear honest feedback about the potential that you have for success in a future cycle.

I was only seen for a consult, did not yet begin a cycle.

So far, I have only been seen for a consult. For the consult, I was covered by my insurance with only a small copay. However, I am not covered for a cycle or medications, and those will be full cost out of pocket.

We did not discuss, as I am only looking to freeze my eggs at this stage.

She’s an extremely intelligent doctor with tons of knowledge. She’s published peer reviewed research papers and is ultra competent. I’m very excited to work with her, and she’s already been more thorough and proactive in 1 visit than my other doctor was through two retrievals and two transfers.

Have all your questions ready for her and make sure your medical history is already sent to her office before your appointment.

She is very professional, which could be interpreted as being a little bit cold. She is courteous and explains everything in detail, with technical terms and “common”, more understandable terms. I didn’t have to wait too long to see her and she is also available over the phone.

Ask questions. She can be very technical.

I didn’t start the treatment yet. We are trying IVF. The chances are low but she is willing to try. She will take all the steps to try to make it happen.

Absolutely horrible experience with this doctor. Fertility treatments are very sensitive and she was horrible to me. Am in shock a medical professional spoke to me the way she did. She was rude, condescending, dismissive, and weirdly diagnosed me with a disorder completely outside her area of expertise just to put me down and make me feel bad

Avoid at all costs

Dr. Lekovich was honest with us from day 1. She encouraged us to stay positive which we needed from our doctor. She never made us feel bad and supported us in our disappointments l always felt she was mindful of our determination and she absolutely mirrored that through treatment. Her nurses and those who drew my blood were gentle and amazing.

Be realistic. While you want Dr. Lekovich every step of the way physically— it’s simply not possible. Try to trust RMAs process alongside the other physicians who may perform ultrasounds or treatments. Also, be your own advocate if you need further explanation or understanding. Your wishes will be met with consistent callbacks from the nurses oncall.

My health insurance covered approximately 60% of treatment and all meds. I paid approximately $6000 a cycle for ivf.

I trusted her opinion every step if the way.

Although she was super nice and informative I was disappointed with my treatment after new information was introduce and my course of treatment didn’t change. Being that I struggled with getting healthy eggs. I expected that my treatment should of been adjusted to fit my current situation. And this didn’t happen and I ended up having a negative pregnancy test.

This is not only for this doctor but for all fertility doctors. As a patient do your home work. If you feel that you need to do further testing or you’ve gotten results that maybe slightly hamper your outcome. Don’t rush into the transfer cycle until you have all the facts or the issue has been rectified.

Anatagonist protocol. No birth control. Call with first flow of m’entras cycle. Started on day 3 Gonal F and monitoring every 3 days. Day 5 nurse instructions for meds. Cetrotide depending on how my body reacted to Gonal F and Menopur. Lupron/HCG shot before egg retrieval date.

My insurance covered the first and only cycle (1 in a lifetime). Didn’t make it to transfer. So had to pay for everything else until the transfer on my second cycle. Can’t remember the exact cost.
