Julian Escobar

Dr. Escobar is an outstanding provider. He is well-versed and extremely knowledgeable from all perspectives of infertility. He bases everything off of what the patient wants. He asks how he can help, and he thoroughly explains all options on the table. He has a very warm bedside manner and even in the worst situations he is so empathetic and comforting to his patients. You can feel how vested he is in his patients and how much he truly loves to help other people. He has never left us in the dark on any subject. He answers all of our questions we go over all of the possibilities the good and the bad. He is honest, caring, and straightforward.

Ask all the questions that you want. He will have an answer for you and if he doesn’t know how to answer he will research and find the correct answer. He is really there for his patients and their well-being.

Given my history, Dr. Escobar went over all of my prior treatments and pointed out what he would have done different. Based on previous cycles the amount of medicine that I was getting was not high enough for my body to respond so he would adjust the protocols to see how it would work. Dr. Escobar also helped me change my supplement routine so that I could get as much success as possible. No other doctor had told me anything about supplements before. I am not a textbook case and he could see that with my lab results and outcomes of other cycles. So based on those things he adjusted the protocol On my egg retrieval cycle which helped me tremendously. It was a lot of medication and more than Most are used to taking. But he and I discussed why I would be taking higher doses and what the outcome would be. I am so thankful that he pushed hard because we finally got a retrieval with great numbers.

The costs were all extremely fair and outlined clearly. The office staff did a great job coordinating with my insurance as to what would be covered and what would not be covered. They offered payment plans and other options to help fit our budget at the time.

My doctor did explain the difference between transferring one or two embryos. The risks with multiples are higher and after we talked it through knowing the good and bad of both decisions, we decided to transfer one embryo. Now going forward we will evaluate what the next step will be.

Dr. Escobar is extremely compassionate, honest, straight forward, and does not offer a false sense of hope. We spent some time with testing and he even sent me to see a specialist regarding a tumor. He wanted to be sure and certain given my medical challenges. He communicated with previous doctors and took the time to read and dissect my records. He spoke directly to my husband and me. He didn't speak at us. There was no judgment given our situation. Transparency and honesty are important to us and Dr. Escober exceeds our expectations.

Be honest, come with questions and be prepared to embark on a very relaxing and caring treatment.

Dr. Escobar was very open and specific and through with our specific course of treatment given my age and medical condition. We embarked on Clomid 50mg for 5 days followed by gonal-F 300ml and an ovidrel injection 500ml.

Overall, although we didn't end up with the result we wanted, I was happy with Dr. Escobar and the clinic in Dallas. I don't think he's at that clinic anymore though. Our treatment was a few years ago and I don't remember all the details, but I do remember that Dr. Escobar was very kind, understanding and direct. We understood the process and the next steps all the way through our treatments. I saw him every time I had an appointment. He has a very casual bedside manner and is easily relatable. After my 1st or 2nd failed IUI, I had the uncomfortable dye test and he was great during the procedure. It was painful and he kept me calm throughout.

Our insurance covered the meds and IUI treatments. It would have covered the IVF cycle, but the clinic's lab was not approved/covered by our carrier. The lab costs for the IVF cycle were going to be $6K.

He was very detailed in explaining the process. At first we were overwhelmed since we weren’t working with an agency but he calmed our nerves and made everything very simple! He always took the time to talk to us and never felt rushed. We saw him for 3+ years.

Ask questions. He is very knowledgeable and is willing to answer anything.

He created calendars for us and made sure our surrogate was trained in taking the medication. Everything worked out perfectly and we are now pregnant with a baby girl due in July!

I believe we spent around $30,000 with the fertility clinic alone. That includes all the IVF process egg donor/surrogate medication.

Since we had only 2 normal PGS tested embryos he recommended only transferring 1 embryo to be safe.

Dr. Escobar was nice and friendly. He fully explained to me what he thought I needed as far as treatment went. He discussed a plan of action and possible risks and complications. I told him my fears and concerns and he seemed to recognize those.

He believed I had a hydrosalpinx due to endometriosis and recommended a laparoscopy. I went ahead with the procedure and he was correct. My left tube had a hydrosalpinx and was damaged.

I had to prepay him 3000 before he would do the laparoscopy. The HSG test was 375. My sonohysterogram was 350.
