Dr. Fru is kind, committed, and knowledgeable. From the very first visit, she has offered me reassurance, guidance, comfort, and honesty. As a black woman with a complicated medical history, she has truly been the best doctor for me. She doesn’t sugarcoat my risks, but she’s also not afraid of them. She appropriately shares her own fertility history which lets me know that she truly understands. And her optimism is refreshing. It’s not an optimism of delusion, it’s one of deep dedication and commitment to her patients. My entire process for egg freezing was seamless. I had no pain other than the typical bloating and cramps, and the procedure was completely painless and complication free. After she left her prior clinic to start Muna Fertility, I found her to resume my care. She’s amazing and I’m blessed to have her as my doctor.

Ask as many questions as you’d like. She doesn’t mind at all. Share your preferences for your process because she won’t judge you.

I paid around $4,500 for my egg freezing cycle. So far at Muna, I’ve paid $250 for my initial visit.

Dr. Fru is a wonderful doctor. She provided the best possible car for me and my husband and when we lost our child via miscarriage she delivered the news with compassion and understanding of what I was going through. She gave us time to process each step and explained thoroughly all of our options without being pushy. I couldn’t ask for better care or a better doctor.

I would say to listen to her advice and use her as a guide through the process. Be knowledgeable but ask as many questions as you’d like because she’s truly there to help you and she can’t serve you best if she doesn’t know your concerns.

I was diagnosed with pcos and referred to another doctor. He had my husband do a semen analysis but following that put me on Clomid. I took clomid over 3 months to no avail. My friend was seeing dr Fru and loved her so I transferred. She immediately did testing to check my Fallopian tubes and uterus as well as other testing. My husband was checked again as well. Both of us had great results although through bloodwork she determined i was in need of a few different meds. She put me on metformin, prenatal vitamins, thyroid meds, and vitamin d. Following the testing we started our fist iui cycle (we decided to take this route over time intercourse since we had been trying for over a year.) she put me on Femara and then when that didn’t work she bumped me up to a higher dosage. Once my follicles were big enough she had me do a trigger shot with ovidrel then iui. that month did not work but month 2 using the same medications I was pregnant. Between week 10 and 11 i has a miscarriage then a d&c procedure. A month or so of recovery then 2 more iuis using he same methods. We took a break for a few months while dr fru was on maternity leave and while my husband was deployed but resumed treatment in January 2018. Since then I have had one more iui treatment cycle. The Femara that had previously worked did not work so she put me on clomid. It was a long cycle but finally I had mature enough follicles to proceed with iui. It did not take. I am currently in another treatment cycle and taking clomid again. We plan to try iui a few more times with hope it works before switching to Ivf.

I don’t remember exact costs but my husband is military and we have a very modest to low income and are able to make the payments to see her for treatments. We are very lucky with good healthcare coverage the does help as well as my mom who helps us offset the costs.

She was extremely sweet as well I was informative. She showed compassion during my miscarriages and was extremely professional but also made you feel at ease and very comfortable and like you knew her for years. You can tell she truly cares about her patients and that you are never does her number. She never seems like she is rushing off to the next appointment she is very relaxed during every appointment and willing to answer Every and any question you ever have for her

She is not as experience with IVF procedure is at her facility because they are new to them however be prepared to be relaxed with a great doctor and team

Her protocol was to do to 2 IUI. When those failed to be looked into possibly checking to see if I had endometriosis however she recommended that if IVF was something we wanted to do that the cost would be well spent on IVF rather than surgery for endometrio sis. So she was very upfront about my options

The IUIs were quite expensive And I think I would have preferred to spend the money on IVF if I knew my IVF options better

I found Dr. Fru to be an incredibly positive person. We had been struggling to conceive for over a year by the time we met with her. We were told that we could do several rounds of Clomid and timed intercourse before moving on to Clomid and IUI. She told us we could switch to the next step at any point in the treatment. We did 2 rounds of Clomid, 100MG, and timed intercourse. There was a lot of monitoring involved in this cycle. Dr. Fru was always very hopeful and positive while going through this process. She made us feel that we were really making moves in the right direction. However, only later when I went to a different doctor did I find out that there was only a 4% chance of success with each of these treatments. I did appreciate Dr. Fru's positivity, but I wish I had been provided with the odds of success for these treatments. I think had I known the rate of success we would have proceeded to IUI and IVF more quickly.

I would advise patients to ask for the rates of success for the treatments they are doing if that is something that they feel may help them make a decision. I wasn't presented with any of this information and I wish I had been because I would've used it to guide our treatments.

We did 2 cycles of Clomid and timed intercourse. I was surprised at how much monitoring we had to do for these cycles. I went in for 2-3 ultrasounds each cycle and had blood work drawn each time. I know Dr. Fru was being extra careful and wanted to make sure we didn't over stimulate the ovaries, but I was still surprised because I had friends on Clomid given to them by their gynecologists that did zero monitoring. Go figure for both of them it worked and for me it didn't, despite great results on the ultrasounds.

I have no bad words about Dr. Fru, she is amazing, compassionate, and funny which I find to be an important part of the process. She explains everything very well and is straight forward about you, your partner, and your treatments. I would always recommend her.

Come in trustworthy, Dr. Fru is not going to push any larger treatment on you until she has explored all other options.

I just finished my first IUI and before she had me take femara and then come in for an ultrasound, after the ultrasound showed my follicles weren't the right size she had me take clomid additionally then come in for another ultrasound, that one showed my follicles a good size and we went on to a trigger shot then IUI

With my IUI including sperm wash was right at $500 but the trigger shot was $100

Dr. Fru always took her time to explain in detail what each procedure would entail. She treated us like people instead of just another copay coming through the door. When we couldn’t do our last iui due to too low sperm count she gave us different options instead of just saying she couldn’t help us.

Think positive. Dr. Fru is a great doctor and very knowledgeable.

Dr. Fru had me on clomid on cycle days 5-9, then on cd 11 I went in for an ultrasound, when my eggs were the correct size I would give myself a trigger shot at 10pm and then 2 days later I went in for the iui. Unfortunately due to male factor they were not successful.

Our iui was $300 under Dr. Fru, plus the cost of clomid which was not covered under our insurance, but was not expensive, and the cost of the trigger shot, which was around $100. We were quoted $12,000-$18,000 for IVF when we begin that in 2019

She was very understanding and also shared her personal infertility journey with me as well. She encouraged me to keep going until I get my baby, when I wanted to give up. Even when things did not go as planned, she suggested other avenues. Overall very knowledgeable and down to earth Dr.

She’s makes you feel comfortable to talk to about anything.

My husband had a 0% morphology. He had to stop smoking. I did 2 rounds of IUI with Letrozole. Unfortunately was unsuccessful. Planned a IVF cycle but by the grace of God the month I was to pay and start the IVF process I had a positive pregnancy test. Two years we tried to get pregnant and was unsuccessful. After 24 months of infertility, the 25 the month I had a positive pregnancy test, naturally done. Fast forward 10/1/2021 I gave birth to a healthy baby boy.

BCBS insurance. I had to pay co pay but it was reasonable.

Very knowledgeable about the science of it all but would have rather her cared enough to be honest about my diagnosis with one tube blocked and what our chances really were instead of letting us go through with multiple IUI

Ask more questions about all treatment options and trust your gut.

IUI with Cholmid-2 cycles, IUI with Femara 7 cycles. Responded well to femara with multiple eggs but should have stopped after 3 fails and tried something ifferent

Very kind, professional , willing to work with you and goes above and beyond. But most of all she makes me feel hopeful and that is a very good feeling to have when dealing with such a sensitive and frustrating thing.

Keep pushing for what you want until you get to a doctor that listens.

I think she was wonderful. She was knowledgeable and took the time to explain things to me. I felt like I knew what was going on and I felt included in the processes. I think she was caring and had good bedside manner.

Take questions and she’ll find the answer!

I did 6 IUIs with her. I did one cycle with clomid/ovidrel, then moved to injectable medicines (gonalF) for the last 5 cycles. She was agressive with my treatment because I had a bad experience with a doctor before her.

We knew Dr. Fru was the right fit when she had empathy for the miscarriage when reviewing our records during the initial work up appt. Dr. Fru has a lot of zeal for what she does and for her patients. We were a rare case that got pregnant organically right after paying the deductible for IVF. She added some supportive supplements, and amped my husbands sperm post testosterone shots and boom we were pregnant after trying for 4 years. She made us feel so encouraged after every appt. She gifted us a hand knit bunny that she hired her niece to craft as parting gifts for her patients. Our experience was everything you hoped it to be and nothing like what we experienced at other facilities.

It’s going to be hard for you to part with her when your care transitions for OBGYN.

Husband had been on Testosterone shots. She stopped those and put him on Clomid to boost both testosterone and sperm. She put me on DHEA and CoQ10. I lost 43lbs strength training, walking and prioritizing protein to counter parimenopause. We got pregnant organically right after paying deductible for IVF.

We had unique insurance with great coverage.

As a patient she took time to get to know me and understand what I needed to be comfortable. Dr. Fru went above and beyond to make sure my treatment was on track and everything was going smoothly. She discussed my treatment plan with me prior to receiving my medication as well as made me a calendar to keep track of dosage and future doctor’s appointment. She made me excited to start the process. I knew I was in good hands.

Be honest with her. She is there to help you and she is more than excited to help.

After looking at my labs and first ultrasound she picked out the best medication to help and created a cycle calendar that let me know what medication to take, at what time, and how much. After every visit she would update my cycle calendar on my medication dosage as well as my follicle size. She has me on Gonal-f and low dose HCG. They did cause nausea at first but it subsided after a while. She made notes of how the medication made me feel. She a very hands on Dr.

I am certain that I’m not alone when I say that I never saw myself here. My entire life, I saw fertility as something that was a given, easily achieved and readily available. The women around me seemed to get pregnant without issue. I thought I could focus on career, marry, create a stable environment and then have children. But here I am, struggling to conceive and not understanding why. This painful journey brought me to Dr. Fru and I am grateful. Dr. Fru is knowledgeable, warm and personable, but that’s not why I am impressed. I was initially diagnosed with a tubal blocked by my OBGYN. In between that test and the referral process, I researched ways to unblock fallopian tubes naturally and began a very demanding regimen. Dr. Fru decided to repeat the HSG and I hoped and prayed that my efforts paid off. Unfortunately, my tubes remained blocked. I was distraught, fearful and disappointed. Some doctors choose to remain detached. Dr. Fru, however, stayed with me while I cried and spoke words of faith and positivity.

She talks very fast :-). Bring something to record the conversation or take notes.

Costs are estimated to be $20,500 for one round of IVF (including genetic testing).

Dr. Fru initially suggested a single embryo transfer but decided otherwise after I shared my desire for twins and that I seriously doubt I’d want to go through this process again.

Dr. Fru has excellent communication skills she was very thorough when explaining all the things we were going to try and also explaining the results of various test Dr. Fru is very compassionate she was very down to earth and made me feel as if I had known her for years I was extremely nervous when I got there but as soon as I met her that quickly went away she has a great sense of humor

Don’t worry Dr. Fru is the best she will explain everything to you in a very detailed manner she makes you feel very comfortable she will take good care of you prepare to be amazed

I only got through the consultation and a few tests but it was determined that I had a diminished ovarian reserve which really broke my heart 😭😭😭

The cost was very reasonable

Is an expert at what she does. May have an awkward disposition which causes stress. After the retrieval failed we discussed the next steps treated my husband like there was something wrong with him because he wasn’t talking but he was supporting me and what we discussed at home. We were doing a donor egg with my sister she called in for a consult and the dr didn’t remember she was my sister or that we were donating. Just didn’t mesh with our personality

Dr. Fru was honest and upfront with us about different options we can choose from to conceive. She drew a diagram to help me and my husband better understand the procedures and process it would take to conceive. We were very concerned about the option because we have a 14 year old and have been trying for 4 years now and my husband insurance company doesn't pay for the procedures. Dr. Fru encourage my husband to talk to his HR department to have infertility included in our insurance next enrollment. He spoke with them and they are reviewing it. So Dr. Fru is not only a doctor but a good advisor, listener and feels like a member of the family.

One piece of advise I would give a prospective patient is that Dr. Fru believes in infertility that ot will work whether or not you do. She not only knows her job but loves her job.

The treatment I had was xrays to ensure that I am still fertile since I'll be 40 this year. My husband had a sperm sample to ensure that there was enough strong sperm to get me pregnant. Unfortunately we had to go another right and Dr. Fru advised us to start the next step which was IUI.

The cost of the procedure was very memorable because my husband insurance dont cover infertility. Office visit was $250 for me and my husband. My next doctor visit for my ultrasound and bloodwork was $350 and my husband sperm sample was $100. Since we have to go with our next option we have go through IUI, which will cost more. We also got the prices for that procedure and include all the procedures it will cost us cover $1500.

Right now we dont have any comments because Dr. Fru explained and stresses the single embryo vs. multiple embryo transfers because my husband has twins o. his side of the family.

Dr. Fru was amazing throughout the process. She held my hand prior to the start of my fallopian tube removal, which was comforting considering the hospital staff in the room were "cold". She comforted me prior to the surgery and before I went under. During the doctors appointments she answered every question, she never seemed rushed and provided detailed information prior to each procedure and explained the next steps.

Go to her! She is amazing and is so personable. She cares about her patients and wants to see you be successful. I like that she adjusted my protocol based on my individual needs.

I don't know that my protocol has a name but I took the following drugs during egg retrieval and implantation. Gonal F Estradiol Cephalexin 500 Methyprednisolone 16mg Diazepam 5 mg Progest Eth/oleate 100mg Piroxicam 10mg

The cost was $15,000.

I only transferred one embryo and that was what was suggested.

Dr. Fru is wonderful. I really hope to conceive a child and to be able to send the clinic a photo with a heartfelt thank you. Dr. Fru is kind, compassionate, and funny. She makes her patients feel welcome and she was always willing to answer the many questions I asked with a kind smile and patience. She is great.

Don’t give up, and ask as many questions as you’d like. She will answer them willingly and will never make you feel inadequate for asking.

My treatment plan includes letrozole and IUI. I under-responded with my first round of letrozole and my dosage was increased. When I came back after having my dose increased, I’d already ovulated. When I came in for my scan following my next round of letrozole, I’d already ovulated according to the scan, but an IUI was completed. It was unsuccessful. For my next round of the drug, I had yet to ovulate and I had a follow up appointment with Dr. Fru to discuss a different medication. We used clomid for that cycle, and I ovulated prior to my follicle scan on day 10. We are about to start another round of clomid, but I will be coming in for my scan on day 8. I am hopeful that we will get the timing right for this IUI and that I will become pregnant by the end of this month.

It’s been pretty expensive. To date, not including the cost of donor sperm, we’ve spent about $2000 and according to the clinic, I have “good insurance”.

Dr. Fru is incredibly compassionate and is very open and honest. She sets out an aggressive and fast moving treatment plan which I appreciate in my “advanced age.” She is knowledgeable and knows how to treat my very unique case of infertility. I appreciate her and trust her opinions.

Get ready to laugh and feel comfortable. She will do her best to make you feel relaxed and helps you understand the options on treatments. She is warm and always helpful.

I am at the beginning of my stimulation cycle and I have started off with 375 units of Gonal-F and 25 units of low dose HCG. I am on my fifth day of taking these treatment shots. Her staff informed me today to continue with the dosage schedule above and then on 4/16/20 Bumping up to 400 units Gonal-F and 30 units HCG that day until my next visit on 4/17/2020. So far my follicles only my right side look better than my left side.

My insurance is covering some of the cost of my treatment and medications although we’ve had to come out of pocket about $5k so far and still anticipating additional medication costs. My husband and I are currently furloughed due to COVID-19, which I am very concerned this could possibly have an impact on the state of our treatment, which is unnerving considering not only we’ve waited almost 20 years to be able to somewhat afford this treatment, but to get this far and possibly fail is what’s the most unnerving to me, all in the name of finances. We are doing the best we can and beating the costs. This is obviously a very costly treatment

Dr. Fru is very personable, yet professional. She is great about carrying conversation and understanding when things may be uncomfortable. Instead of simply doing her job, she accommodates and talks through each step to make me, as the patient, more comfortable and less awkward.

Be open and honest. She knows what she is doing and loves questions!

I have only been through the consult and testing so far. Dr. Fru did all types of FSH, HSG, Prolactin, etc. tests to see where my levels are in my body and to see if there is anything that she may need to be prepared for or adjust in my fertility treatment. All my results are in normal range and I am set to move on to IUI when my partner and I purchase donor sperm.

The costs have only been for each test so far. However, a financial counselor met with us the very first visit and is reachable whenever needed.

When I came to PREG I had no idea what to expect. Dr Fru laid everything out for us and came up with a plan right away. I can not say enough about her and her optimistic personality. She has really been a ray of sunshine in some of our hardest times. She is definitely in the right profession. She not only connects with you as a patient but on a personal level too. She remembers things we talked about in previous appointments and never made us feel uncomfortable. While right now we are still seeking treatment from her and our plan hasn't worked out exactly the way we've planned she has given us hope that we will get through this and we will have a baby. I can not say enough about her and I would definitely recommend her to family members and friends going through the same situations.

When you go in not knowing what to expect and skeptical trust and know that she has your best interest at heart.

During my time with her we did Clomid and times intercourse which were not successful. So we moved to an injection and Clomid which were also not successful because I am resistant to oral medication.

I spent around $2,000 in the time I saw Dr. Fru.

She truly cares about her patients well being and outcomes. She has an amazing bed manner. I can not rave enough about her. She even checked on me when I was in the hospital for my miscarriage. I just feel she truly cares for her patients and I'm not just a number. And she just never gives up on me! I truly feel like she is top of line dr.

I would tell them to allow her in and allow her to give all her expertise! She truly is a great doctor and very informative

we did donor iui 2 times first time with clomid i only had one egg and it failed iui. Second iui we used letrezole and that produced 4 eggs and pregnancy occurred ( ended up being tubal) then we went to mini ivf with goal f. Low dose hcg and micro dose Lupton produced 5 eggs 2 were mature non made it ( we chose iui with donor because male factor then mini if because she knew I don't produce a lot of eggs

As a man, I felt incredibly awkward in this process. We men somehow grow up learning almost nothing about cycles and how pregnancy really happens. Dr. Fru made me super comfortable and I felt like I could ask her anything I needed.

I don’t think you need advice, other than don’t be intimidated by it. Just go and do it. Get the process started.

We did 4 rounds of medication-assisted natural attempts, and then 4 rounds of IUI.

My insurance covered our treatment so it was very affordable from the financial perspective.
