Dr. Wheeler is extremely knowledgeable and really great at what she does. She always made sure to make sure we understood everything every step of the way. We always felt we were in great care with Dr. Wheeler!

Ask all the questions, because you’ll get the most honest and accurate answer!

Dr. Wheeler felt we were great candidates for IVF, and really good candidates for IUI. IUI was a more affordable route so we decided to go with it. We did three IUI’s, all with letrozole and trigger shot. Our first IUI resulted in a pregnancy, but was unfortunately not inutero so we had to terminate. It was considered an ectopic pregnancy. Our second and third IUIs were unsuccessful. We then decided to move to IVF. Considering a clean family history and our age, Dr Wheeler felt IVF with ICSI was the most favorable option. We prepped for our first IVF cycle with stims. I responded well and we were able to get a favorable amount of eggs at retrieval. At day 5 we found out that had 7 total embryos that fertilized and made it. We would transfer a great graded embryo. Our transfer went great, and a week later we got our positive test! All was great, and baby was measuring well, heart beat was strong, and I graduated to my OB at 8weeks. At my first OB scan at 11weeks we found out baby stopped growing at just under 10weeks. I just had a hysteroscopy to remove some leftover tissue, and we’re meeting our doctor tomorrow for a consult on moving forward.

Morning monitoring is great! At first, as a new patient, it felt very “quick” but after having a true understanding of the process at RMA, I completely understood. After morning monitoring, Doctors perform surgeries, nurses are needed for them, nurses have phone calls to make, bloodwork results need to be conveyed.

My cost for IVF with ICSI was $12,000 and about $3,500 or so for my meds. BCBS doesn’t cover much, but some of the meds.

Dr. Wheeler only suggested a single embryo transfer. I understood the rationale and agreed. I also appreciated the reminder that “if for some reason this doesn’t work, you still have 6 more!”.

Dr Wheeler conducted infertility tests right away after our initial consultation and didn't waste time getting our treatments started. She has taken the time to explain every step along the way and answer all of our questions. My husband and I feel comfortable with her.

Upon seeing Dr. Wheeler and initial testing, we were diagnosed with unexplained infertility. Dr. Wheeler had me take Clomid for 1 cycle, followed by 2 IUI's (one on cycle day 12 with an ovidrel trigger shot, and one on cycle day 13). We were unsuccessful and immediately moved forward with another cycle of Clomid at a higher dosage, followed by 2 IUI's (again on cycle day 12 with ovidrel trigger shot, and one on cycle day 13). This was also unsuccessful so she changed the protocol to Femara for the next cycle. Due to the timing falling on Christmas, we proceeded with 1 IUI on cycle day 11 with ovidrel trigger shot, and timed intercourse after. The 3rd IUI was also unsuccessful. We had a consultation and will be proceeding with IVF.

She was always kind and patient with my questions. She was also very understanding about my anxiety and fear of surgeries and made sure I was always comfortable and relaxed during procedures. During any cycle that did not go as planned or ended in a negative result, Dr. Wheeler always made sure to set up the follow up appointment herself and was compassionate and understanding.

Great doctor and a great facility

Some may not like the morning monitoring ans consider it more like an assembly belt as you show up and are seen in order vs appointments. However,that was something I loved about the place. It allowed me to be seen without ever notifying my employer that I needed time off. It allowed me to work and keep my situation private.

Dr. Wheeler is knowledgeable and has great bedside manner. I’ve been working with her for about 2 years now. My expectations have been exceeded throughout the entire experience. The process can be overwhelming and I am naturally an anxious person, but she keeps you informed throughout which has helped ease my nerves. She managed my care for my first round of IVF and it led to our now 9 month old baby boy. She is now managing my care to try for baby #2. I feel very confident going into it based on my past experience.

Remain calm and trust your provider.

I did all medicated cycles which I preferred so they could pinpoint my cycle.

I paid up to my deductible in expenses and then had 100% coverage afterward.

Single frozen embryo transfers.

Dr. Wheeler is very knowledgeable and has a lot of experience. She is very understanding. I was concerned and asked her a question over the portal and she immediately called me as she was leaving the office. She also helped my prior authorization go through.

I was scheduled to come within a certain time the next day. I sat down when I arrived until I was called. I didn’t wait long. I was in and out very soon.

My insurance covered it all because I already met my out of pocket cost. Dr. Wheeler helped my prior authorization go through and get accepted.
