Dr. Chung has a warm, kind approach, and always made sure to tell me her thoughts about my status and what the next steps in the process were. She adjusted her approach through multiple cycles of oocyte cryopreservation, and knew my prior data and used that to inform decisions about medication choice and dosage. Her clinic is often busy and she sometimes seemed rushed, but always made time to answer my questions.
The [California Fertility Partners] clinic is efficient, well organized, and clean. In my experience it was more expensive than the other clinic I had received fertility care at (at an academic center), but I really appreciated having the physician do my ultrasound at each visit, and talking to the physician at each visit...Everyone in the office, including nurses, physician, phlebotomists, and billing office staff, was kind, courteous, and answered my questions in a timely manner.

Describe the protocols Karine Chung used in your cycles at California Fertility Partners (Pinnacle Network clinic) and their degree of success.
She gave me a diagnosis of diminished ovarian reserve prior to starting the oocyte cryopreservation cycles. She tried various methods (estrogen priming, taking clomiphene concurrently with injections for the first week, using high dose FSH alone for the first few days). What seemed to work best for me was max doses of FSH and FSH/LH injections throughout the cycle.
Describe your experience with your nurse at California Fertility Partners (Pinnacle Network clinic). (Assigned nurse: Ally)
I really appreciated having a consistent nurse (Ally) who was kind and thoughtful. Ally was very organized, answered my messages promptly, and directed information to the physician when appropriate (when I had a post-procedural complication, for example).

I believe that one complete cycle of oocyte cryopreservation cost about $15-17K, though I used fertility benefits through my employer.

How was your experience with Karine Chung at California Fertility Partners (Pinnacle Network clinic)?
I am particular about medical care especially when it involves fertility. I came to Dr. Chung after hearing positive reviews and outcomes from a friend (and her friends who are all doctors). I found Dr. Chung to be brilliant, straightforward, respectful, thorough, and extremely accurate re: predictions and outcomes with egg retrievals and embryo testing. I felt very respected and heard through the process. When I had concerns (which was often), my questions were always answered whether that was over email or in an appointment. I also appreciated that my appointments were ALWAYS with her. My fertility journey took a little longer than I had hoped but I became a first time mother over the age of 40 using my own eggs and successfully carried the pregnancy. I have recommended Dr. Chung to other women over the years because of the respectful communication and successful outcome we had.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Karine Chung at California Fertility Partners (Pinnacle Network clinic)?
Write out questions before your appointment. Dr. Chung will answer everything so having them all in one place was very helpful for me.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Karine Chung at California Fertility Partners (Pinnacle Network clinic)?
My fertility journey with Dr. Chung began in 2018. She was referred to me by a friend who is a physician herself and had undergone the IVF process with Dr. Chung. My friend told me that ALL her friends (all doctors) who went to Dr. Chung had different fertility journeys but that they all had successful outcomes. I froze my first round of eggs with Dr. Chung at age 37 before I was married. Throughout the process, she always took her time to educate me about each step. She predicted the number of eggs we would retrieve (16) and she was accurate. A couple years later, at the age of 39 I was married and having a hard time conceiving. I returned to Dr. Chung to help us have a baby. My journey to becoming a mother was not straightforward or overnight but throughout the process, my husband and I were always well educated by Dr. Chung about probabilities, the newest studies that were coming out and the best options to increase our odds of a successful pregnancy and live birth. Her predictions re: egg counts and embryos passing genetic testing were always correct. I often came with many questions and ideas that I felt she was always open to and if she didn't agree with them she would respectfully explain why. I often emailed with questions and she always took the time to thoughtfully reply. I was 41 when I conceived my now son and I feel incredibly lucky I was able to have a biological child of my own using my own eggs. Throughout my pregnancy, she was attentive and expertly handled a scare I had in my first trimester. My son was born full term at 40 weeks and a healthy good weight. I know that it was Dr. Chungs protocol, recommendations and thoughtful care that led us to having a healthy pregnancy and baby. We have 4 other embryos frozen at CFP and if we choose to expand our family, we will definitely return to Dr. Chung once again. We are forever thankful to her for making our dream of being parents come true.
Describe your experience with your nurse at California Fertility Partners (Pinnacle Network clinic).
I was with CFP for over 2 years with the stops and starts in my fertility journey. Usually, Dr. Chung had one main nurse but there would be a couple who handled correspondence, sending me my medication protocol, and reviewing things with me after I'd see the doctor. It is hard to answer this because some nurses were very on top of it, would check my records/notes before calling in meds and there were some that I would have to remind of these details. Most of the nurses were competent and organized but it could be a mixed bag sometimes depending on who you saw.
Describe your experience with California Fertility Partners (Pinnacle Network clinic).
I always had appointments with my doctor which I have heard not all clinics offer. I appreciated that wait times were generally very short. Once in a blue moon, there would be a longer wait but I was almost always seen within ten minutes of arriving. I often had to have bloodwork done at most of my appointments which I dreaded. There was a man (I feel bad I can't remember his name now!) who was sooo nice and knew I hated having my blood taken. He would always distract me a bit and handle it quickly. That might not seem like a big deal but when you feel like a human pin cushion between shots and bloodwork, that extra effort to make that part more pleasant meant a lot to me. I knew some of the front desk staff by name (particularly the women who were a bit older and had been there a while) and they knew me too. They were really warm and made scheduling follow-up appointments at times that were convenient for me pretty easy. I sometimes felt like a number when dealing with the billing department but they always replied in a timely manner and send the information I requested pretty quickly. When I was undergoing treatments and while pregnant, they took my call at any time of day or night which was sometimes necessary and needed.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Karine Chung at California Fertility Partners (Pinnacle Network clinic).
I don't recall the exact number. I would have to check my records. My insurance (through SAG) covered nothing. When I was pregnant, I was able to submit certain things like ultrasounds that were partially covered since CFP was out of network.
Describe Karine Chung's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at California Fertility Partners (Pinnacle Network clinic).
Dr. Chung recommended we transfer a single embryo because it would be safer for mother and baby. We followed her advice and were pleased with this decision.

During the initial consultation, Dr. Chung discussed my history and went on to describe what the process was like, what I can expect, her projections, challenges that we might face and the reproductive system in general. I also noticed that her approach is a combination of experience and sciences. She was very thorough in her recommendations and did not cut any corners. She seemed like she was in it with me.
I liked the ease of making appointments [at California Fertility Partners]. All my information were uploaded in a timely manner to the portal. I could email the embryologist directly. Also the waiting room is very comfortable and everyone was pleasant. Shout out to the surgery nurses and the anesthesiologist - they were amazing. The clinic does not have a package so you have to pay for every ultrasound, every blood test, which can be stressful when you are paying out of pocket.

Describe the protocols Karine Chung used in your cycles at California Fertility Partners (Pinnacle Network clinic) and their degree of success.
375 -425 menopur, estrogen priming, ganirelix as the antagonist double trigger (HCG+Lupron). I used both triggers at the 34hour and 12 hour mark. For IUI it was Clomid100 and Follistm - 200 HCG trigger. We also did icsi and zymot for the sperm For IVF retrieval, we got 7 eggs, 5 mature and 2 blast with one pgt normal. For IUI I had 3 good sized eggs and must have ovulated all 3. Dr. Chung likes to complete the IUI either very close to ovulation or after which makes sense as a matter of science. I am currently waiting for the result
Describe your experience with your nurse at California Fertility Partners (Pinnacle Network clinic). (Assigned nurse: Jessica)

iui and ivf were approximately over $30k, each monitoring usually cost about $600 because of ultrasound and blood work and a cycle had about 5 of those. Medication cost about 8k for my ivf cycle and retrieval including pgt biopsy cost approximately 15k.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at California Fertility Partners (Pinnacle Network clinic).
There were some required tests which I thought I had completed but some of the tests were either not uploaded to the portal or I was not told it was outstanding. It was a quick fix as I just completed the test in-house. My advice - if you are completing tests with your primary care, make sure you have all the required tests.

I cannot recommend Dr. Karine Chung enough. Upon her first meeting with me, Dr. Chung thoroughly explained the entire fertility process and that helped me understand what was going to happen during my IVF / embryo freezing process. She is also an expert in oncofertility which meant she knew all the latest research and could help make personalized recommendations for me. I was so happy with Dr. Chung.

Dr. Chung has the perfect mix of compassion, empathy, and scientific expertise. I felt so confident in her care. She was always familiar with my current medical state, making me feel like she remembered me and cared about me as a person.

For the first cycle she started me on 75 Menopur and 300 Gonal F. However at my first monitoring appointment she increased me to 150 Menopur and 300 Gonal F which is the same protocol I used for the second cycle. I used Pregnyl and Lupron for my trigger shots.

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
Dr. Chung is compassionate and knowledgeable, but most importantly you can tell she cares. She took her time to truly understand our unique situation which I really feel does make a difference, as well as to fully explain our prognosis, options, and risks. Unfortunately we ran into a road block that has stalled our journey, however Dr. Chung helped us find the right specialist to help shed some light at the end of the tunnel.
The nursing staff [Cal Fertility Partners] was great in explaining protocols and finances, however I did not get the opportunity to really get to work with them....This clinic is easy to find when you're driving by since it is a big building and painted orange, there is paid parking on the ground floor, but also street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. Everyone at the clinic has been professional and caring, wait times have been minimal.

I was to complete a typical egg retrieval cycle using hormone injections daily and for the first week, and have appointments every other day at the clinic. We were likely going to be using the ICSI procedure with my husband's frozen sample to create embryos.

Dr. Chung is super friendly and genuinely works to help you grow your family. She responded to every one of my emails very promptly or she called me if a lengthy explanation was needed. In my first cycle when my embryos weren’t looking so good, Dr. Chung called me personally to give me updates on their progress. Dr. Chung always set realistic expectations and did her best in providing me with possible reasons for my failed cycles.
Ana was my nurse at CFP but I only met with her twice; all the other times I had random nurses, who were all very professional...I spent $25K [on an IVF Cycle] (including med) and that included a fresh transfer...All ultrasounds, bloodwork, and lab results are posted on a health app which was nice since it allowed me to look at the data later on but at times, it felt impersonal especially with the embryo lab report that was posted for my viewing. Given that I did not have any embryos that made it to freeze, I think I would have felt much better about the situation if someone had called me and broke down the information for me.
How was your experience with Karine Chung at California Fertility Partners (Pinnacle Network clinic)?
I first met Dr. Chung at USC Fertility where I did one IVF cycle with her. Soon after, she moved her practice over to CFP and I followed her to do a second IVF cycle. For my first cycle, she put me on BCPs for two weeks and then a micro-dose lupron protocol, with Follistim and Menopur, and a Pregnyl trigger. 9 eggs were retrieved, 5 mature, and 4 were fertilized with ICSI. On day 3, my embryos were not doing too well so it was decided that they would freeze any that progressed to 6-8 cells. Two were frozen and I was told I would have a 10-15% of getting pregnant if I transferred the two. I decided to proceed with a second cycle. For IVF #2, Dr. Chung did estrogen priming (patches) with an antagonist protocol, added clomid and omnitrope and triggered with lupron and Novarel. 10 eggs were retrieved, 9 mature, and 6 were fertilized with ICSI. One day 5, I transferred an early blast and a morula. I did not get pregnant and none of my other embryos made it to blastocysts/freeze.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Karine Chung at California Fertility Partners (Pinnacle Network clinic)?
Ask questions! She will answer them all and make you feel so much more at ease.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Karine Chung at California Fertility Partners (Pinnacle Network clinic)?
Describe the protocols Karine Chung used in your cycles at California Fertility Partners (Pinnacle Network clinic) and their degree of success.
See above. After my first failed cycle, Dr. Chung made major adjustments to my protocol such as estrogen priming instead of BCPs since they were too suppressing in the first cycle and took a much more aggressive approach by adding clomid and omnitrope.
Describe your experience with your nurse at California Fertility Partners (Pinnacle Network clinic). (Assigned nurse: Ana)
Ana was my nurse at CFP but I only met with her twice; all the other times I had random nurses, who were all very professional.
Describe your experience with California Fertility Partners (Pinnacle Network clinic).
All ultrasounds, bloodwork, and lab results are posted on a health app which was nice since it allowed me to look at the data later on but at times, it felt impersonal especially with the embryo lab report that was posted for my viewing. Given that I did not have any embryos that made it to freeze, I think I would have felt much better about the situation if someone had called me and broke down the information for me. I ended up calling Dr. Chung and speaking to her about it but that part of the process left me disappointed. CFP goes by an a la carte pricing system, which one means they are more expensive than other clinics. I paid $2k more just for bloodwork. Paying at the end of every appointment made my second cycle so much stressful than my first.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Karine Chung at California Fertility Partners (Pinnacle Network clinic).
At USC, it was $15k (including meds) but I did not transfer any embryos. At CFP, I spent $25K (including med) and that included a fresh transfer.

Dr. Chung is a compassionate person and knows her stuff. This is her passion and she treats each patient individually ... She is supportive and kind. I would definitely go back to her again. ... she took the time to answer all my questions and was readily available through email. ... She checked my tubes, did a saline sonogram, we started IVF injections and then retrieved.
I went in for monitoring first thing in the morning and it was so convenient. The clinic [USC] was open and ready by 7am. ... Wonderful clinic, tranquil waiting room, complimentary refreshments. Plenty of space, everyone always had a place to sit. ... Everyone on her [Dr. Chung] staff greeted me with care ... Pamela [nurse] was always there, a phone call or email away if I ever needed her.

Dr. Chung is a compassionate person and knows her stuff. This is her passion and she treats each patient individually, I know this because another friend has gone to her too and our protocols were completely different. She is supportive and kind. I would definitely go back to her again.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Karine Chung at USC (closed)?
Don’t be afraid to ask questions or send an email she responds or one of her nurses will right away.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Karine Chung at USC (closed)?
Everyone on her staff greeted me with care, she took the time to answer all my questions and was readily available through email.
Describe the protocols Karine Chung used in your cycles at USC (closed) and their degree of success.
I went in knowing we were doing IVF. She checked my tubes, did a saline sonogram, we started IVF injections and then retrieved. At retrieval I had liquid in my uterus, so we had to move to a frozen cycle. I was sad, but glad we did because I was better prepared for it. Now I’m currently pregnant. In preparation of my frozen transfer I started PIO and estrace, took them till I was 13 weeks.
Describe your experience with your nurse at USC (closed). (Assigned nurse: Pamela Young)
They always greeted me and showed compassion toward my situation. They were all such wonderful cheerleaders and I always get they were on my side. Pamela was always there, a phone call or email away if I ever needed her.

Wonderful clinic, tranquil waiting room, complimentary refreshments. Plenty of space, everyone always had a place to sit. One negative was the parking. Metered street parking available or paid parking in structure.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at USC (closed).
I went in for monitoring first thing in the morning and it was so convenient. The clinic was open and ready by 7am. Dr. Chung wouldn’t always do my monitoring, but I was ok with that. She did always come in after to say hello and check in.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Karine Chung at USC (closed).
$17,000 with meds
Describe Karine Chung's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at USC (closed).
At first she recommended transferring two, because she thought the quality of my eggs would be low, but since they were high she changed her mind to recommend only transferring one. She left the decision in our hands. We went with one and we are glad we did.

Dr Chung sat down with us and explained in great detail our options, risks, and benefits of treatment. She went over every possible detail and answered every question we had. We never felt rushed or dismissed. At the appointments where she promised to meet with us, she always kept her word. She predicted we would get 4 embryos and we ended up with 7, exceeding our expectations which made us very happy.... Dr Chung and everyone else in the clinic was very caring and gentle with us throughout our treatment
They [USC - LA] are great at communicating and providing warm bedside manner. Sometimes the finance department was not the best at communicating our bills clearly but was always cleared up by asking more questions.... The clinic also set us up with organizations that provided free medication to cancer patients which was so incredibly helpful, they took a lot of stress off our shoulders.... The waiting room was pleasant with free coffee and plenty of seating.

Dr Chung and everyone else in the clinic was very caring and gentle with us throughout our treatment and always made time to answer questions or listen to our concerns.
Describe the protocols Karine Chung used in your cycles at USC (closed) and their degree of success.
I completed a typical egg retrieval cycle using hormone injections daily and for the first week had appointments every other day at the clinic. After that, it was every day to monitor progress. Dr Chung used the best method for our situation, including ICSI to create embryos. She recommended we do not risk harm to the embryos by testing them with PGS and we agreed, because we have had no abnormal embryos in the past through our recurrent miscarriages (cause by a uterine septum).
Describe your experience with your nurse at USC (closed). (Assigned nurse: Leslie Odom)
Every nurse was very warm, friendly, and informative at every appointment. I always felt like I was in good hands.

The waiting room was pleasant with free coffee and plenty of seating. There is a sign in sheet that is used to call patients in order. Some days were busier than others but we never had to wait an intolerable length of time.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Karine Chung at USC (closed).
The consultation was $350 I believe, but went towards our treatment once we decided to move forward. The clinic offers a 40% discount for the fertility preservation treatment due to my cancer diagnosis. This was very helpful to us. We also had to do a FDA screening because we likely will have to use a surrogate in the future. The clinic also set us up with organizations that provided free medication to cancer patients which was so incredibly helpful, they took a lot of stress off our shoulders. Our total costs after discount was around $7,000.
Describe Karine Chung's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at USC (closed).
Dr Chung recommends we transfer 2 embryos when we decide to move forward with IVF, to increase our chances of having one baby. I agree with this.

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
Dr. Chung is incredibly kind and knowledgable. She is able to be a superb medical professional at the same time as being a compassionate cheerleader. We couldn't have asked for a better doctor on this emotionally sensitive journey. We have a nurse who is our contact person for any questions and Dr. Chung makes herself available for questions anytime as well.... she took the time to explain everything, but also approached the interaction with us in a way that made it feel like we were a team.
We love our clinic! It [USC] was recommended by my primary doctor and we could not be happier. Everyone there is super supportive and kind. When we have seen other doctors for scans and monitoring, they have all been exemplary. The front desk staff is patient and kind and the folks in the financial department are too.... Monitoring hours were very convenient for both mine and my husbands schedule. They are early from 7:30-9:30 on weekdays and around the same time on weekends.
How was your experience with Karine Chung at USC (closed)?
From our first meeting with Dr. Chung for a consultation, we knew she was a great fit for us. She is incredibly knowledgeable in her field and extremely thorough. That day she took the time to explain everything, but also approached the interaction with us in a way that made it feel like we were a team. Moving forward in our journey, she always provided a wealth of information and support. She was always supportive and hopeful through our three failed IUIs. Now that we are working through IVF, I could not imagine working with another doctor. She has been so supportive! Always available when I had questions during my egg retrieval process and when I had concerns afterward and leading up to our fresh transfer. It ended in a chemical pregnancy, but throughout the time where we were tracking our beta, she was realistic, but optimistic which was super helpful because it was such a sensitive time. We just saw her this week for our frozen transfer. It is always a pleasure to work with her and we always feel at ease.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Karine Chung at USC (closed)?
Don't be afraid to ask questions. She is so kind, thoughtful, and thorough. She always put our minds at ease.

For my egg retrieval we used a long protocol. I was on birth control and Lupron then Gonal-F and Menopur. I responded very well and 25 eggs were retrieved, of which 5 reached blastocyst stage.
Describe your experience with your nurse at USC (closed). (Assigned nurse: Leslie and Pam)
Leslie was our initial nurse who was our point of contact for all of our IUI procedure and the start of our IVF. She left on maternity leave shortly before we began stimulation for our egg retrieval. We have been working with Pam ever since and she has been just as wonderful. Both Leslie and Pam are incredibly compassionate and patient. Both have always been available to answer questions and provide reassurance at any time.

Monitoring hours were very convenient for both mine and my husbands schedule. They are early from 7:30-9:30 on weekdays and around the same time on weekends. There were options seven days a week which was incredibly helpful. If I had any conflicts, the clinic was willing to work with us. There was sometimes a long wait, but it varied and did not impact my work schedule.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Karine Chung at USC (closed).
Since I am an employee at USC, I did receive a slight discount on select portions of our IVF retrieval/fresh transfer, but not on our Frozen Embryo Transfer. The IVF retrieval, fresh transfer and medication was around $15,000 and the Frozen Embryo Transfer and medication was about $3600.
Describe Karine Chung's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at USC (closed).
Our doctor used standard guidelines for our transfers given my age and diagnosis. She was very clear about the potential outcomes of transferring two embryos. We felt very comfortable with the information provided to move forward with her recommendations.

Dr. Chung treated me exceptionally well, she always explained everything in detail when I didn't understand the procedure or had any sort of question Dr. Chung and her staff was always a call or email away. Terry was an amazing nurse, she always made sure to get back to be by then end of the day or sooner. all the staff was extremely nice warming and friendly. always felt like an amazing place to be. with many helping hands.... Everyone is extremely nice and welcoming, the only down fall would probably be sometimes getting someone of the phone to actually to talk to right away with out having to wait a couple of hours to get a call back.

As a male fertility factor one of our protocols was to try the semen analysis protocol to try and get pregnant naturally since husband suffers of retrograded ejaculations do to cancer and the first time we tried this protocol his sperm reversed,so we were told to try it again which consisted of being abstinence 3-5 days. 1. Begin Sudafed (with pseudo ephedrine) 2 tablets (30mg each) three times a day starting three days prior to semen analysis 2. Take 2 alkaseltzer tablets in the morning.

Dr Chung listens well to our concerns and addresses them knowledgeably and carefully. She seems very proactive in helping us as an individual couple. She explains things in ways we can understand. She is candid yet talks about our situation in a way that maintains our dignity. I really appreciate that, especially for my husband because fertility treatment can feel so embarrassing.... This clinic [USC - Los Angeles] is pretty easy to get to, located downtown. I’ve not had long wait times, and people are always kind when I go for blood draws and ultrasounds. They seem orderly and clean. Sometimes I wish the hours were more flexible, but I’ve never had a problem making an appointment.... The prices seem very competitive with other clinics.... They are quick to communicate with me anything I need to know or answer my questions.

Dr. Chung's warmth and kindness creates an ideal doctor/patient relationship. We tried two IVF cycles with medications [with Dr. Karine Chung] but never got viable eggs and had to abort the cycle each time. We currently are pursuing egg donor IVF...always very compassionate with us...She answered our myriad questions with patience. We attempted two IVF cycles with her and then after a break in treatment we have decided to return to her to try egg donation.
Teri [nurse at USC Fertility] was great and also answered all our questions. The staff were all well trained and were good at drawing blood. We enjoyed their sense of humor as well...Roughly $11k IVF, roughly $5K meds, though we weren't charged for everything because we did not complete the cycles. Sometimes there were additional fees such as ultrasounds...There's usually a wait and sometimes it's hard to know for how long. Mornings are particularly busy. Like most fertility clinics they don't take insurance. The financial counselors are great but sometimes it's hard to figure out all of the fees. They don't validate parking. There are great places to eat around.

Describe the costs associated with your care under Karine Chung at USC (closed).
Roughly $11k IVF, roughly $5K meds, though we weren't charged for everything because we did not complete the cycles. Sometimes there were additional fees such as ultrasounds.

She’s the best. I have seen many doctors during the few years, and she is easily the best doctor that has ever treated me. In addition, she is immersed in research and an educator which elevates her knowledge and approach to you as a patient....She is fantastic and incredibly warm. She remembers all the details of your case, it is very personal. Even when delivering hard news, she is compassionate and warm but clear.
Strengths [USC] are reputation, operating hours and staff. I would say the negatives are it can get busy and you may have a fellow from the medical school in the room with you which can be awkward at first.... It was organized. I liked going as early as possible.... Given my cycle was with a surrogate, some information was not given to my surrogate that delayed transfer. The next cycle worked, so at the end of the day, it was meant to be.

Every question and concern [with Dr. Karine Chung] was adddressed with timely compassion...We went to several doctors before we settled on her. She was thoughtful and treated us like more than a number. We felt like our losses and successes were hers. We had unique circumstances, which she handled with grace and competency...we had to go on lots more meds than the average person.
Teri [nurse at USC] helped us every step of the way. I had several scenarios where we weren’t able to get meds ordered fast enough and she answered and provided for us...Super easy to get in. Hours were long so you could make it. Appointments moved fast...Strengths are that they are very organized and you aren’t just a number to them. Can’t think of any weaknesses other than my own hesitations and fears about the process.

Success w/ Doc Not sure
She [Dr. Chung] said I could do egg freezing but that it may take 3 rounds or so to gather enough eggs, which would just be too expensive. I was 39 at the time. I am now hoping to try and just get pregnant with donor sperm and want to go back to her. ... Be open to the options she recommends. ... Very expensive.. I think $500 for consultation [at USC] ... She was very kind and honest- so respectful.
Very long wait times even with an appointment [USC - Los Angeles], so be prepared to wait. There were always many people in waiting room and then even when you are in your private room for appt you will have to wait longer than you think. ... Very expensive.. I think $500 for consultation and process would have been approx $13k each cycle ... [Nursing staff] Very nice. Just did blood draws with them.

How was your experience with Karine Chung at California Fertility Partners (Pinnacle Network clinic)?
I was referred to Dr. Karine Chung and CFP by a friend after experiencing fertility issues of my own. OBSESSED. Spoiler alert - I now have two beautiful children!! Dr. Chung has a fabulous communication style that really worked for me. She delivers information clearly and sets realistic expectations while staying supportive in a loving way. There is so much to learn on the pregnancy journey and after getting a big (and overwhelming) picture of the various paths during our consult, Dr. Chung gave me more bite-sized pieces of information about what to expect between visits. This way I was able to digest everything and take it as it came. The IVF process is highly charged and, knowing this, everyone at CFP meets you with kindness, warmth and professionalism. The nurses, receptionists, and technicians are all so sweet and contribute to making every appointment run smoothly. All of my procedures and tests were all done in the office, helping to mitigate the stress that inherently comes with fertility struggles. I had such a positive experience with Dr. Chung that I sent two of my friends her way. So many Dr. Chung babies!!! Thanks, CFP ❤️
Describe your experience with California Fertility Partners (Pinnacle Network clinic).
The clinic itself is so nice! They have their own lab and procedure rooms so virtually everything is done in the same office. The space makes you feel both fancy and cozy ;) Parking is easy - I usually found a spot right out front or used valet in the back.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Karine Chung at California Fertility Partners (Pinnacle Network clinic).
Total cost was around $35k…that’s inclusive of one round of embryo creation, two successful transfers, and all the associated tests and medications.
