Care was not individualized and all my concerns were ignored. I was told if we kept going, we'd "do the same protocol over and over until I got pregnant". I felt like we wasted our embryos based off a simple issue that was not being addressed. She was kind, but I wish after the first failed cycle she would have done more for us and not failed us.

Look at each patient individually. May be those that don't respond to meds, look at other options. Don't keep trying the same thing over and over.

I did two medicated cycles and an ERA. I did not respond well to all 3 of these. I should have been offered a modified natural cycle after the second cycle didn't respond well. Something needed to be changed and it wasn't. My labs should have been followed closely and they weren't.

Dr. Reynolds is one of the best physicians I have ever seen. She cares so much and at every appointment I feel valued and listened to. She consistently goes above and beyond for me. And I feel like she is a friend. She is funny and empathic and the only doctor I will trust with my fertility journey. I have a lot of anxiety and after conversations with her I immediately feel better. She is super accessible and easy to get in touch with for questions and concerns.

Always feel like you can trust her. Even if something feels personal or that you might get judged for feeling a certain way or believing a certain thing, just know she is trustworthy and understanding. I’ve told her more than she probably wanted to know but I was never met with judgement or anything other than compassion.

My first round wasn’t successful because there was unexpected cysts in my follicles. Knowing this she changed my protocol for my second round and it was way more successful. I did a long lupron protocol where I took lupron for 10 days before even starting my IVF meds. I took Gonal F and Menopur every night. Then I also did a double trigger shot before retrieval on my second round which also could have helped with the successful outcome. My first retrieval was only 4 eggs and then 4 embryos and none of the embryos made it to day 7. The second round we got 8 eggs, 5 embryos, and 3 of the embryos made it and are now frozen.

Egg Retrieval, embryo making, and PGT biopsies was a total of $13,870. One year of cryo storage is 250 for first year then it’s $250 every six months. We also pay for storage for sperm and I forget the exact cost but I think it’s around the same, like $500 a year or so. IVF meds were supplied from a separate pharmacy. The total I spent at the clinic for one cycle of IVF was $15,889.12. I had insurance coverage for some of the ultrasounds, blood work, and exams but no coverage for anything else.

I don’t think she is opposed to multiple embryo transfers. It would definitely depend on each patient’s situation though.

Dr. Reynolds is amazing, she listens to you and makes your feel comfortable, and will change the course of treatment that is best for you. She truely made me feel comfortable in the situation that I had sprung on me with cancer treatments and needing to make a choice to save my eggs or not.

Ask questions and speak up about your symptoms Dr. Reynolds will listen and answer. This can be a scary process/fast pace especially if its not something you have had the chance to think about and need to do for other medical purposes. She is amazing, and will make help you through the whole process while giving you the best medical care.

I was on a certain level of dosages to get my hormones up, Dr. Reynolds evaluated me and started me on shots to slow my hormone growth, and even changed my trigger injection to give me the best results.

Still in fighting the insurance company they said they would cover cost at the beginning to myself, and to the doctors office but when we filed after treatments started they claim no benifits

Dr. Reynolds is a pleasant and positive doctor. I appreciated she didn't dwell on my age. If she referred to my age as a factor, it was more explaining the influence of age on eggs and not spoken of negatively. In the beginning, communication between her and the staff was off. In my visit before IUI, she wasn't in the office, so we saw Dr. Robertshaw. The staff spoke to us as if we were planning timed intercourse. Later, when the IUI did not result in a positive pregnancy test, I noticed in my planned care in the app, progesterone was listed as a medication, yet I was not prescribed it. I was upset by this and Dr. Reynolds was apologetic and said it was an error that it was listed as one of my medications, but we could try it in the next round. I appreciated the apology, but can't help wondering if it was an oversight. Overall, it felt I was being moved through the motions. Trying round and round after IUI, and when none worked, there were just shrugged shoulders as to why it didn't work. Looking back, I wonder why I had no hormone testing (aside from checking estrogen), no discussion into the supplements I was taking or should take, no discussion of diet. From what I know now, I could have been more of an advocate for myself and asked for more answers before going for another round of IUI.

Educate yourself on factors that cause infertility: hormones, thyroid, etc. Be an advocate for yourself. I have a history of endometriosis and not once in being examined or in ultrasounds, was it an issue or even spoken of. Write down your concerns and questions so you don't forget. Dr. Reynolds is very nice, so ask away! Document visits, meds, and procedures in a calendar that you can refer to. (And if you're not already doing so, keeping track of your cycle in an app is very helpful.) These clinics are juggling a lot of patients, so keep your own records you don't have to dig for.

After the first consultation, I had an ultrasound and Saline infusion sonohysterography (SIS). Both showed no signs of any problems. The first three IUIs seemed standard: Clomid and trigger shots. Progesterone was taken two of the three of these IUIs. None resulted in a positive pregnancy test. Before the 4th IUI, it was discovered I had a cyst on one of my ovaries. I was put on birth control for a week to minimize it. Then the 4th IUI continued with Clomid and trigger shot, then progesterone afterwards. No positive pregnancy test. Over the four IUIs the dosage of the trigger shot changed.

SIS: $1,080.00 (not covered by insurance). IUI: $215. Exams which may or may not have included ultrasounds, but often did ranged from $190-$300 with IUI included in a few. Other exams to draw blood ranged $70-$90. Lab costs were around $25 each. Genetic Testing (Progenity) $349. Medication totaled $1,108.

Dr. Reynolds is an outstanding person. While we have not yet had success with IVF, we did a lot of research and felt that Dr. Reynolds most closely fit what we were looking for. Her insight and thoughtfulness made me feel comfortable every step of the way. Even when things did not work out, we never thought of going in another direction.

Be upfront with her and do not be afraid to ask questions if you have them.

To this point we have spent $32,000 on our fertility journey. (that includes our next and final transfer) We were able to use WinFertility to help pay for some of the costs. I will say, check all pharmacies for prescriptions, do not just assume the nurses know the best places.

Dr. Reynolds was willing to do whatever we felt the most comfortable with.

Dr Reynolds very carefully took her time to explain the aspects of infertility and more specifically what our struggles meant for our chances of conceiving. She gave us all our options and allowed us to make an informed decision on the route we wanted to take. She didn’t try to persuade us to go one way or the other. She was able to express what we should expect from our first iui cycle but still gave us hope that even if it was not successful she was very confident that we would be able to conceive.

Ask as many questions as you need to in order to fully understand all your options.

At my consultation appointment we got right down to business. Dr Reynolds performed a quick transvaginal ultrasound to check out the lining of my uterus and my ovaries. She also ordered bloodwork to check my overall health and hormone levels. The results came back pretty quickly and she was able to order a repeat of one of the labs that she was concerned about. For my first cycle we decided to try a medicated iui. Based on my labs she started me off on a pretty high dose of clomid (100mg) per day for 5 days starting day 3 of my cycle. Midway she asked that I come in for a SIS ultrasound which was quite painful. My ovaries and eggs were checked at this appointment as well. After the ultrasound we decided that I should do my ovidrel trigger shot because I had several follicles that were ready and was nearing ovulation. 36 hours later I went back in for my iui. It wasn’t very quick and just a little painful because of the position of my uterus.

My iui was roughly $500 for the insemination and sperm wash. The medication was about $120, this included the clomid and ovidrel trigger shot.

Dr. Reynolds took the time to listen to my history and all concerns that previous doctors dismissed. She’s very knowledgeable and confident in her abilities. I always felt like I was receiving the best care possible.

Come prepared with any questions and concerns you have. She takes her time to talk with you about them all.

For my only egg retrieval, I was given an antagonist protocol. I began with birth control to suppress my ovaries and shrink a cyst. For nine days, I took 200iu of Gonal-F and 1 vial of menopur. I took 250mcg of Cetrotide to keep my body from ovulating before the egg retrieval. Two days before the retrieval surgery, I triggered with 10000 IU of hCG. I had 19 eggs retrieved, 12 of which were mature. The eggs were fertilized using ICSI and by day 5, I had 7 blastocysts. During the time frame between retrieval and transfer, I took Medrol for 5 days and began the Progesterone in oil injections. We transferred two AA day 6 embryos and had the remaining 5 cryopreserved. Only one implanted, and we gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.

I am not aware of the exact costs of my treatment, as my insurance covered almost all of the procedures and medications. I do recall that the estimated medication cost for my first IVF cycle would be between $5000 and $7000 if I had to pay completely out-of-pocket.

She did weigh in with her opinion, but said the decision to transfer 1 or 2 embryos would ultimately be up to my husband and I.

She is extremely knowledgeable and has data and studies to back up each of her treatments suggestions for my particular situation. She explains things well to myself who needs details and comforted and my husband who is factual and wants all the data. She is very upbeat and to the point. She’s excited about what she’s doing and encouraging which is definitely needed on this long hard journey.

She is the only RE I’ve consulted with. I saw her partner, Dr. Robertshaw who is also fantastic and highly recommended, but Dr. Reynolds just got me right away. She made a plan of attack and encouraged us to make decisions together but was ready to move forward as aggressively as we wanted. Every time we talk she encourages me and tells me this will happen, which is what I need to keep moving forward!

4 rounds of cookie or femera with my OB then 2 IuI with Dr. Reynolds that weren’t successful so we moved directly into IVF. Luprolide protocol didn’t go well so we canceled the cycle. 2nd cycle used antagonist protocol and I got 10 mature follicles with 8 fertilizing. 2 enbryos made it to day 5 so we transferred both. Conceived and misscarried around 6.5 weeks. 3rd round starting soon which we will do endo scratch and levenox injections in addition to the same protocol- praying this one works!

Very blessed to have a specific amount contributed to fertility care through my husbands company and able to run all charges through insurance. We are approaching anther cycle and will soon be completely out of pocket pay. We haven’t received a breakdown of costs yet but that has been requested.

She’s amazing. She’s very good at her job and I would go back to her again and again. My body doesn’t respond as it should, and she very much tackled our case and tried everything she could to get us pregnant.

Trust her! She genuinely cares about you.

My body doesn’t respond as it should, so even though my levels were normal, I wasn’t producing many follicles at our old clinic. She did an aggressive treatment and really upped my meds (gonal f, menopur, lupron) to try to get as many as we could but even with the increase in meds, they were only seeing around 6 follicles, which made no sense! She canceled that round (which I’m very thankful for bc I didn’t want to go through a retrieval for only 6 since our embryos always arrest by day 5.) We reset and did a menopur only cycle and it worked so much better! We got 13 (the most I’ve ever had). 11 fertilized, we did a day 3 transfer bc the majority weren’t looking great. They didn’t take and the rest had arrested by day 5 again. By the time we had done this with her we were at the end of our 4th IVF attempt (having done 2 rounds at a different clinic.) So with her advising us, we have decided to stop trying via IVF.

Our IVF cycle cost around $10k, which was after a military discount (how cool is it that they offer that?!).

Dr Reynolds has supported our treatment from the start. She worked with us, our schedule, our finances to help us understand the prognosis and what would be next. She never 'did the same' again if it didn't work the first time, she always adjusted the plan of action.

Ask a lot of questions. You'll always get the answers, but it's important to know everything during these treatments!

Antagonist protocol. I wasn't as strong of a responder as expected so we had to crank up the drugs and go an extra day- but we ended up with 17 eggs retrieved. For both FETs we did lupron with progresterone - after a body rash during the FET, we added/adjusted meds for the next FET.

All based on insurance coverage! This is hard to describe, but the IUI were about $350 (plus meds). IVF 'package' was competitively priced and offered small discount for pay in full.

She encouraged 1 (as did embryologist) the first time - as they said it was beautiful. that failed, so she was ok with 2 next time.

Very caring and passionate about what she does as a fertility doctor. She takes the time to explain the risks and connected me with a trusted specialty doctor for my damaged tube surgery. Interactions with her can seem impersonal at times when they are busy and she was quick to suggest IVF after my surgeries. This was not the intent or my expectation, per previous discussions, as based on the results of my 1st surgery I was told we would be able to continue with IUI with more success.

Ask for THEIR practices' success rates not the general medical success rates which are quoted

Average dose of Letrozole was prescribed to help me ovulation consistently month-to-month initially. This was bumped up slightly prior to my first IUI. After the surgeries and my two failed IUIs, she wanted to prescribe me clomid over July 4th weekend although my insurance would not pay for it. Later I found out that it would have only been a few bucks out of pocket AFTER countless hours on the phone with the insurance company vs. doctors vs. pharmacy battles and ending up missing that cycle's opportunity. That is when we decided to take our break.

IUI was $400/each, ovulation trigger shots were $100, IVF was going to be appx. $8,000/each. I have no insurance coverage for fertility specific care.

No preferences. She stated the facts as black and white with statistics.

Very energetic and enthusiastic. Talks fast but tries to explan everything thoroughly. Clearly a busy doctor but takes the time to answer questions and be relational. When our first round of treatment was unsuccessful she was helpful in laying out all other possible options.

Ask lots of questions and don't be afraid to message her on the app. She will respond.

First she had me take birth control pills for 4 months to get my estrogen levels up. Then we started Menopur injections. The first round I responded too well and had too many mature eggs. Next we decided to try another round of injections but a lower dosage.

Dr. Reynolds is friendly and puts you at ease quickly. She is knowledgeable and helps you do understand exactly what the treatment is going to be. She would sit with us to explain what is going on and she had a positive attitude towards our goals.

She is great, so make sure you request her as your doctor if you are going to Bethesda Fertility Clinic.

The one IVF cycle I did I actually won via a raffle with the clinic! (Too bad it didn't work). The IUI's and other procedures I think cost around 3-4K total, since my insurance covered a lot of it.

I do know know Dr. Reynold's approach to multiple embryo transfers. She only did IUI's for me.

She was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Didn’t set high expectations just in case something didn’t work out. Very easy to get a hold of if I had any questions. She walked me through the whole process and made sure we understood every part and let us ask questions as needed.

Be honest with you worries and fears. Always ask questions

Started with birth control for the first two weeks and then went on Lupron shots. After that it was a mixture or lupron shot and shots to grow the follicles. Then a shot to make the eggs release followed up with progesterone shots through 11 weeks.

She's young and energetic. Easy to talk to. Friendly and warm personality. Helpful. Good at explaining things. Talks fast but willing to explain things again. I've only seen her once so far but she was honest and hopeful. She told me with my issues it might take time, but it wouldn't be impossible for me to get pregnant. She was recommended to me by my obgyn. Excited to go back to see her.

Dr. Reynolds, in my experience, has no weaknesses at this point in time. She is a great listener, never makes you feel rushed, answers questions you might think are silly or dumb. She is happy to answer phone calls and emails.

Make sure you create a list of questions no matter how you feel about them. You might think they are silly or dumb but she wont and she will answer any of them.

I like that she is compassionate and shows empathy towards her patients. I didn't get the chance to see her every time I am in the office, she is pretty busy. If you need to ask any questions, you cant't talk directly to her, you have to go trough a nurse, I don't really like it.

I came from another doctor, that office was closed. I already was halfway trough my IVF treatment, I had the egg retrieval done. Dr. Reynolds decided to have the same treatment as my previous doctor and have me on lupron for a couple of moths and then do the embryo transfer.

I just started the second part of my IVF treatment and doctor Reynolds does not accept my insurance so it is kind if expansive, a simple consultation is over 500$. The previous doctor left the office and they transferred me to doctor Reynolds who as I said does not accept my insurance, I have to pay out of pocket

Dr. Reynolds was a great listener and didn't shut her mind to other options. When I had my 2nd miscarriage with her, she recommended I see a reproductive immunologist. I don't feel that many others would have done that.

Trust her. And listen and don't be afraid to ask questions.

I was put on letrozole to get more eggs going, along with gonal f. I got pregnant twice this way but they resulted in chemicals. This is when she suggested I see a reproductive immunologist. And she was willing to work alongside that doctor as well and follow his instructions.

I had great coverage for diagnostic care and lab work. Their rates for IUI were ry good too since that was not covered under my insurance.

Dr. Reynolds was completely understanding and very nice to my needs and gave me a lot of insight on what I need to be getting done and help with She explaining to me that she splits her visits up into two

She is very experience and know what she’s doing she’s a great communicator and she seems like she loves her job

She told me I need at HSG test to see if my tubes were blocked and if they were blocked then I need IVF she also explained to me how much IVF will cost

Dr. Reynolds was absolutely amazing. I cannot say enough good things about her. I was so nervous to go to a fertility clinic but the first time I met her I felt completely at ease. She was very understanding about the fact that my hubby and I did not want to do IVF and never pushed any treatment of us. She explained all of our options and helped us to make informed decisions about what treatment plan would be best for us. Dr. Reynolds was super supportive of every decision we made and was super compassionate every time we didn’t get a positive result. I would recommend her to anyone!

Write down any questions you have and take them with you to appointments. I would forget things and then remember after the fact and have to message the office.

We used clomid (200) for 5 days and a trigger shot for our first 3 IUIs. For our last 2 IUIs we had to use donor sperm and we did clomid (200) for 5 days and gonal f injections for 5 days then a trigger shot. Our fifth IUI was successful with the gonal f, clomid and trigger shot.

Our insurance covered ultrasound appointments but we had to pay for everything else out of pocket. Our insurance did not cover any of the medication. The clinic called the bulk of the medication into a mail pharmacy which had a much lower price than any pharmacy around here.

Dr Reynolds is amazing! She really knows her stuff, is super friendly with great bedside manner, and is open and honest with expectations and treatment plans. I really enjoyed going in to see her and fully trusted her with our plan of care.

Ask any questions that you might have- her answers are honest and informative.

For our IVF cycle I used Menopur & Gonal F for stimming. When my eggs were growing slowly, my dosages were adjusted and Dr Reynolds didn’t rush anything. When my eggs reached the right size, I triggered with hcg. We got 18 mature eggs, 9 fertilized with ICSI, and 2 embryos resulted.

I still have not received my bill for IVF (still going through insurance) but IUI was around $600 per cycle. This was half the cost I paid at my previous clinic for essentially the same protocol.

Dr Reynolds was willing to discuss transferring 2 embryos but my insurance only covered a single embryo transfer.

Dr. Reynolds is very knowledgeable and optimistic. She is also super friendly and seems genuinely happy to see you at each visit. Sometimes she seemed rushed because they are busy but never made me feel like I couldn't ask questions (the only reason I could tell she was rushed was because the waiting room would be busy, etc.). She is a fast talker but will always answer questions and explain things for you. We had a very great experience!

It was a great experience so don't hesitate to go with Bethesda Fertility if it is in your network!

I did birth control pills starting on Day 3 of my cycle. On ~Day 20, I started daily 10U Lupron injections to prevent early ovulation. On Day ~28, I started my stimulation shots (follistim and menopur) for 7 days while continuing Lupron. Shortly after this, I had my egg retrieval. We transferred 2 5-day embryos.

All treatment medications were out of pocket. Bethesda North Fertility is a part of the TriHealth network and because we have TriHealth insurance, a significant percentage of the overall IVF costs were covered.

Dr. Reynolds was confident that transferring two in our situation was an okay choice because we were okay with having multiples should that happen. We are glad we took her advice and transferred two because 1 implanted and 1 tried but did not progress.

Dr. Reynolds made sure to be visible at every appointment. The color of my skin did not matter as she made my husband and I feel special during every visit. She never made us feel rushed. She was very patient and kind and always answered my messages through the app used for her facility. Awesome, amazing and outstanding woman who has help change my husband and I life positively.

Don’t be afraid, she is so gentle and kind. Be prepared to be pampered with love by this doctor. Never be afraid to ask her questions as she will answer each and every one of them.

I took clomid for a week then had a trigger shot the day before my IUI. Simple and easy.

I spent less than 2000.00 to get pregnant. You can’t beat that.

Fertility is obviously a sensitive subject, and I right away noticed that Dr Reynolds had a deep understanding of how to approach it with sensitivity, but also being proactive. I left my first appointment feeling so relieved that I had “someone on my side” and someone ready to advocate for me.

Make sure to have your questions ready, as sometimes it’s overwhelming to remember them all

I explained to Dr. Reynold about my PCOS and being unable to get pregnant after many cycles of Clomid. I was just about to start another round when she switched me over to Femara along with a trigger shot.
