Dr Lipshultz sees a LOT of patients and you will wait a long time to see him, this makes you feel like a number. He works with a lot of residents which makes you tend to feel like a science experiment because you end up explaining your condition over and over. However, Lipshultz knows what is going on and is pretty good and keeping up without looking too much at your chart making you feel more human.... He can be pretty direct, but he really will do what he can to help and advocate for you!
[Baylor College of Med] Waiting times are long and there’s not a lot of room in their waiting area. You will be asked to complete the same survey online every time you go in. The girls at the front are great at getting your appointment scheduled...Results were failed to be given several times and prescriptions hadn’t been called in but nothing that wasn’t rectified in a timely fashion.... Nurse Amy has always been in our corner! Lipshultz can be a little zany, but she does an excellent job of making sure we’ve got all the information we need!
How was your experience with Larry I. Lipshultz at Baylor College of Medicine (closed)?
Dr Lipshultz has bent over backwards and called in favors just to help us out with our medication costs. He does a great job of listening to you and helping you achieve your outcome offering alternative plans to just “here’s your plan we are sticking with it!” My only complaint is that even though you have an appointment you will end up waiting half he day just to see him.

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
He [Dr. Lipshultz] was very straight forward and gave us all of the answers. He wasn't rude but was very candid so we could get all of the information. He was thorough, and was very kind to call and check in with us a few times...given lots of tests with immediate phone call results or follow ups and they scheduled treatment/surgery as soon as they found the problem. They walked us through everything, helped us through cost info, and our doctor was the surgeon too...
The clinic [Baylor College of Medicine] is very sterile feeling but also welcoming once you've been there. Check in goes quickly and appointments run efficiently. There is quite a wait sometimes before appointments, they don't run on time. But you will be seen and appointments are thorough...They [nurses] were very kind and communicated well once you got a hold of them. There was a lot of phone tag in trying to schedule things or figure out what we were supposed to do...
