My husband and I had our first consultation with Dr. Sundheimer via Zoom, as KindBody conducts initial consultations virtually. The half-hour appointment allowed us to discuss our history and concerns in detail. We had already undergone some lab tests and were considering IVF or IUI options. Dr. Sundheimer was candid about the success rates of both, advising additional lab tests for a more informed decision-making process. While we uploaded our previous tests, some were outdated, necessitating new tests through KindBody. Despite the extra cost and effort, these tests provided a comprehensive understanding of our situation. Remarkably, after six years of exploratory tests with our primary care physicians, KindBody’s thorough approach led to the confirmation of PCOS and a genetic disorder diagnosis. This revelation offered us more insight into our condition than we had received from any other medical consultations. Dr. Sundheimer’s methodical and comprehensive approach reassured us that we are on the right path. While we haven’t yet met Dr. Sundheimer in person, KindBody’s online portal facilitates ongoing communication. This feature allows us to reach out to her with questions at any time, enhancing our comfort and confidence in the process. Our follow-up appointment was conducted by her Nurse Practitioner, who impressed us with their knowledge and personable demeanor. However, interacting with multiple staff members across KindBody’s nationwide network sometimes creates confusion. Distinguishing between administrative personnel and the team of care professionals directly involved in our case can be challenging. Despite this, the overall experience remains positive, and we appreciate the accessibility and support provided by KindBody's diverse team.

If I were to offer one piece of advice for a prospective patient of Dr. Lauren Sundheimer, it would be: Be Open and Prepared for Your Consultation: Dr. Sundheimer is known for her thorough and candid approach. To make the most of your consultation, come prepared with your medical history, any relevant lab tests, and a list of questions or concerns you have. Being open and honest about your medical background and treatment goals allows Dr. Sundheimer to provide the most personalized and effective care. Additionally, her straightforwardness in discussing treatment options, including success rates and necessary procedures, requires patients to be prepared for clear, sometimes direct, medical advice. Embrace this as an opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of your condition and the potential treatment paths available to you.

My treatment strategy is not yet final. I am undergoing this process right now.

KindBody's IVF package is $15,800. Additional services such as medications, storage fees, freezing, etc. cost extra. Their embryo PGT testing is roughly $3,300. Initial lab work can go up to $2,000+. KindBody has a Black Friday deal for 15% off IVF package, but certain agreements apply, and I'm not sure how often they run these.

Dr. Sundheimer and the entire Kindbody staff were so kind, compassionate, and truly made me feel cared for in every sense. Dr. Sundheimer is so warm, empathetic, and understanding. We've had a difficult journey prior to coming to Dr. S and have exhausted numerous healthcare provider options and relocated, so she is the third fertility doctor we've seen. She was patient with the countless questions and concerns we had--we never felt rushed, unheard, or that we were asking dumb or unreasonable questions. She always checked in before making a decision to make sure we were in agreement and on the same page. We've had a number of prior miscarriages, so I was always on edge and anxious with our pregnancy and Dr. S fit in an extra last minute check-up with her on call nurse practitioner when I was spiraling thinking I was experiencing miscarriage symptoms. Dr. S and her team never dismissed any concerns I had, even when they were likely unreasonable and anxiety induced.

Dr. Sundheimer is amazing as a physician. She is knowledgeable and passionate. She has probably figured me out in terms of my plans during IVF. She has been hands on and highly involved during this whole process. And things get done very quickly. She’s super awesome and cool to talk to and she has great bedside manners. She has an amazing story of her motivation for helping people going through infertility. I look for not only the credentials, but the passion. Dealing with me and my emotions and worry through the process, I felt at ease talking with her and her team. Communication is important and Dr. Sundheimer has been stellar. Really love her enthusiasm and reminders of even the “little wins”.

Everyone coming in should come up with a plan A and B of what they want like goals (how many children, gender, age to have children etc). Dr. Sundheimer works with you in those goals and give some stats to expect. She is also open and does not just give you a one way answer or just the plan. Instead, she will ask you your thoughts and what route you want to do.

IUI - standard I think, clomid PO and then Ovidrel trigger. Negative pregnancy. IVF egg retrieval #1: Menopur and Follistim for stimulation, Novarel and Lupron to trigger -6 eggs, 4 fertilized, 2 genetically great embryos. Egg retrieval #2: same but add on Omnitrope for egg quality (added a bunch of supplements: CoQ10 (taking ubiquinol) 600 mg daily. 7 eggs, 5 fertilized, 2 embryos that had genetic abnormalities. Egg retrieval #3: same as #2, added additional Ganirelix for twice a day since cycle ran longer - added magnesium threonate supplement on own. 7 eggs and 5 fertilized, 3 embryos - one euploid, two aneuploid. Cabergoline - for potential OHSS because estradiol levels went above 4k. Egg retrieval #4: same as #3, and cycle ran even longer, added NAD+ supplement recommended by Dr. Sundheimer. Just had egg retrieval - 11 eggs, 8 successful fertilization pending PGT-A.

Dr. Sundheimer made me feel so at ease throughout my egg retrieval journey. She was very clear in explaining to me the procedure, the process leading up to the procedure, and any additional questions I have around fertility. She is very kind and patient, especially when fertility in general can be a difficult subject to navigate. I am really happy I did my procedure with Dr. Sundheimer and would recommend everyone to go to her.

Come in with an open mind and be flexible about your fertility journey. With any major medical procedure, there can always be changes just because of how our bodies react to different medications or just general timing. Dr. Sundheimer is there to guide you throughout the process so don't be worried.

I had insurance through progyny. That being said my service was ~$2k.

When I had my consult with Dr Sundheimer I was very nervous. She really took the time with me to understand my results and what I should do to preserve my fertility. I had unexpected news that my reserve was low, and decided after talking with Dr Sundheimer to go forward with egg freezing. She always gave me updates throughout the entire process and made me feel very cared for. She was easy to talk to even with something that is so personal.

Dr Sundheimer had me on birth control pills to start for only a short period of time. Then I took injection medication to help my follicles grow into mature eggs. I took these injections for 12 days and then I had my eggs retrieved. She even retrieved a couple more than anticipated. I was very happy about that.

Dr. Sundheimer is very compassionate and caring of her patients. Readily available to answer any and all questions. I went to Kindbody as a benefit through work to receive an overall work up of where I stood currently before starting to plan a family. To my surprise, I was shocked when I found out I had Diminished Ovarian Reserve. Dr. S patiently worked with me as I navigated this news. We worked together to make a plan of action moving forward. I experienced a couple of obstacles along with the way but at the end I ended up conceiving naturally but I don’t believe this could have been done without the guidance and recommendations received from Dr. S! She didn’t give up on me once and was always optimistic during the times where I couldn’t see the light at the end of tunnel. I am truly grateful for her and the level of care I received.

Trust the process and be open to any and all recommendations.

I loved working with Dr Sundheimer and her team! My daughter now is almost 1 and I’m pregnant with my baby boy (10 weeks), both by the help of Dr Sundheimer. Her and her team make you feel at home and comfortable in the whole process and explain things thoroughly. I will miss going to see them since now I’ve graduated. They do an amazing job and I have already recommended Dr Sundheimer to a couple friends and they are happy as well!

I went through 2 cycles with Dr. Sundheimer. Dr. S is very thorough in communicating expectations which makes the process a little less stressful. She was available to answer all my questions whether it be in-person, over the phone, or through the online portal. She's very compassionate and a true patient advocate. I'm very pleased with my experience and recommend Dr. S to everyone.

You're in good hands with Dr. S. The process can be stressful and scary but Dr. S makes it a bit easier.

First cycle was an estrogen priming cycle - my body was slow to respond and the outcome was successful but not ideal. Second cycle was a luteal phase cycle - my body responded much faster and the results were better.

First cycle was approx $6k without medications. Medications were about $6k through MDR. Second cycle was about $5k (Kindbody was running a promo) - medications were approx $5k. These prices were aligned with my expectations for costs.

I had nothing but a wonderful experience with Dr. Sundheimer. Because of her protocols and experience, I was able to finally become pregnant after over 2 years. I am so thankful to have met and worked with Dr. Sundheimer. She was always positive yet set clear expectations for every visit, procedure and process. I never felt blindsided by any of our results because Dr. S explained everything so clearly. She was always at every visit, doing every ultrasound, every procedure and every test. I never felt like I couldn’t ask her a question or talk to her about a concern. She was wonderful, kind and so compassionate.

Be open with Dr. Sundheimer about your concerns and questions. She will always take the time to answer your questions and give you the time to discuss any concerns that you have.

I feel very glad to have found Dr. Sundheimer after several disappointing experiences with other fertility physicians who were recommended by my OBGYN. Dr. Sundheimer is a skilled physician who is also extremely personable and easy to talk to. My appointments never felt rushed and she was always available and quick to respond to anything that came up during treatment. She has a relaxed and reassuring personality, which is very important for such a process. I would absolutely work with her again, without hesitation.

I can't think of anything - everything went so smoothly!

Since I had already gone through a canceled cycle with another clinician at another office unrelated to her own, Dr. Sundheimer was able to review the medications protocol of that physician and tailor it to try to get better results (which involved slightly increasing dosage of some meds and adding Omnitrope). She used Gonal-f, Menopur, Omnitrope, along with the trigger shots. I ordered from Alto Pharmacy, which was extremely professional, with helpful staff.

It was a bit above $8,000 for all of Dr. Sundheimer's office's fees associated with the visits and the procedure itself. It was about another $5,000 for the pharmacy costs (paid outside to Alto Pharmacy directly).

Dr. Sundheimer is a dream to work with. She took time in every appointment to explain exactly what she was doing, what that meant for my health and our experience. She was kind, thoughtful and informative.

Do research on the types of meds you'll be taking before they teach you how to take it so that you're prepared and the training can be more helpful.

During egg freezing I took Gonal-F & Menopur daily for 2 weeks, this progressed as expected. During the many appointments we had to do ultrasounds and blood work we saw that they were working properly. Closer to the date of procedure I started taking Cetrotide and right before the surgery I took Progenyl. Dr. Sundheimer and her team had thoroughly prepared me in how to use these medicines.

Dr. Sundheimer is fantastic and optimistic. She is very down to earth and explains things in an accessible way. She had to deliver hard news multiple times to us and always approached it with compassion and options moving forward.

Working with Dr. Sundheimer is a fantastic experience. If you have had rough experiences before, Dr. Sundheimer is a breath of fresh air.

We had several cycles have to be postponed due to my hormones being weird. Dr. Sundheimer did research and consulted with colleagues and didn't leave us without potential answers. We ended up completing our cycle with POI, progesterone suppositories, and estradiol tabs. We had a successful transfer with our adopted embryos (we transferred both, but only one took).

We went through our insurance so we were only billed what our copays and coinsurance were. The only out-of-pocket expense was the fee for transporting our embryos into their clinic which I believe was $500. In total, we paid around $800.

We asked to transfer both our embryos at the same time. After looking into our history and the history of our adopted embryos, Dr. Sundheimer was very clear about the risks of multiples, but agreed to transfer both. We were grateful. We had one embryo end up implanting.

Working with Dr. Sundheimer was a wonderful experience for a less than ideal situation. She was very thorough, and make sure she had all of her bases covered before we did the egg retrieval. For example, she discovered that my TSH was slightly high, no other doctor had caught before. I only ended up having to do one egg retrieval, and we got 14 mature eggs for the first try. Luckily, the first transfer worked, so I am extremely happy with all of the protocols she took to help with a successful pregnancy.
