We’ve just done the egg retrieval this morning. We’ve done several ultrasounds and of course did the injections counting up to this day. Our interactions in person have been small, but impactful. He is great about sending emails and texts with detailed instructions on how each medication is handled.

Texting and emails are best to get a timely response.

We did ultrasounds weekly for three weeks during my cycle. Then started off with the morning shot of menopur and night time shot of Folistim. Did those for about 10 days. Moved onto ganerellix. Then the trigger shot. Today was the egg retrieval.

The ultrasounds were $75 each, done in their office. $1000 for tests done before going to the clinic. ie; sperm sample, Hysterosalpingogram, bloodwork. Bloodwork was done at my hometown hospital, since it was quite a drive to go to the clinic each time, and we could use some of our health insurance. $350 for anesthesia each time I need to be asleep for procedures. $10,500 paid directly to the clinic.

Not sure yet. We will find this out next week.

He was very friendly. He called me personally to talk with me about what I would like to do. He got to know me and everything we have tried. He always made sure I was comfortable. He was very hopeful for us. He always made sure we understood what we were doing and the risks of it.

Give him a shot. He is very knowledgable in what he is doing. He is very friendly.

We did 2 rounds of Femara with a trigger shot. Then we did one IUI procedure also using Femara and the trigger shot. I am unsure on the dosage of those.

I don’t remember how much it was for the Femara and trigger shot. The whole IUI procedure was $500 + the shots.

He always wanted to make sure I have at least one “qualifying” follicle. But preferred more than one.

I cannot say enough about this clinic. Dr. Richards and Dr. Amesse were so kind and caring. First things first… IVF success, we have a beautiful baby girl! We couldn’t be more grateful for the Cache Valley Clinic. Both Dr.’s would take as much time as I needed answering my questions and concerns. Absolutely worth the travel and time! All the other clinics were 2-3 times the price and wanted to see me multiple times a month. I love that I didn’t feel gouged by the cost and the in person appointments with Dr Richards were appropriate and didn’t consume my weeks. We are all very busy and this was perfect for us! If you are on the fence, I hope reading this will push you over! It’s well worth the time, money, and effort. They both made the process easy when we all know what a physical and mental drain IVF can be. I was referred to this clinic from a friend of mine who had 4 IVF births through another clinic that wished that she would have used Dr Richards because it would have saved her thousands and thousands of dollars. She had a co worker who worked with Dr. Richards and had IVF twins! Things I really appreciated about the process: -We dealt directly with the Dr. -Dr Richards gave me his personal phone number and I could call anytime with questions or concerns. -Made the IVF process very simple -Everyone we met including the anesthesiologist and the nurse doing the ultrasounds, showed me nothing but kindness and compassion. -I also appreciate how the doctors were very direct and forthcoming about the information, statistics and cost of IVF. All in all I felt they cared as much about my success as I did. I wasn’t another number or just another patient. They gave me personal attention and were with me every step of the way.

Trust the Dr’s and do what they have asked.

They gave me a print out of a calendar with the Rx’s the dosages and the times I needed to take them. Then they went over every medication with me, what it was for and why I was taking it.

One lump sum for the whole procedure. Not another dime was asked of me after that.

I loved that Dr Richards didn’t try to talk me into 1 or 2 embryos but gave me the choice! The other 2 clinics prior said they could only transfer 1 embryo at a time! It was all about the $ and I felt that with the past Dr’s. Dr Richards pointed out the pros and cons but overall said it was up to me and he told me Dr Amesse would transfer 2 embryos if I wanted. It was not an additional cost either:-) Better odds with 2 than 1, so I chose 2!

He was very knowledgeable and I loved that they were thoughtful of cost and our time. He works with a partner Dr Amesse and Dr Richards was always willing to go the extra mile to meet our needs. He is super outgoing and I enjoyed his personality. I never felt bad asking lots of questions.

This practice is never basic. No big flashy office but they collectively are extremely knowledgeable and I always felt like I was in the very best hands.
