Dr. Schenk has been very thorough from the beginning. She caught that I have PCOS within a month of starting to see her. She is very kind and helps you understand everything. She accommodates us being as we drive 3 hours (one way) each time to see her. I have already recommended her to my cousin and a friend of mine to help them with infertility.

Don't hold any information back! Be upfront and honest!

The first month, we tried everything naturally. The second and third month we did Clomid and Ovidrel shots to release the eggs. I have had a transvaginal ultrasound every two weeks since December 2018. On our fourth month we switched to Femara and didn't have to take the Ovidrel shot. We did IUI in April, but I have since had my cycle. We start Femara again this week and go back to see Dr. Schenk on May 3, 2019.

My insurance covers the majority of my appointments. I've had to pay for an HSG and that was roughly $175. I also had to pay for Ovidrel shots. The pharmacy provides a coupon, so it is only $107 out of pocket. I also had to pay for the IUI procedure and it was $549.

I haven't had this procedure.

From the start Dr. Schenk was informative, efficient and caring. She reviewed all of my medical history and helped us make an informed decision to do IVF. She always made sure we understood everything happening and always made us feel comfortable. She laid out the perfect IVF protocol for me and now, after 3 years of trying on our own, we're 2 months away from having our first baby boy! There are a ton of IVF clinics in Houston with a million RE's... As long as Dr. Schenk is practicing - she's the only one for us!

Feel comfortable to ask her anything! I asked her a million questions and she never made me feel like they were stupid or unimportant.

Because I have high AMH and a large ovarian reserve, DR. Schenk monitored our revival meds carefully and adjusted as needed to make sure I had the safest and best outcome. Even though I had 42 eggs retrieved, I didn't get even a hint of OHSS. After our first transfer failed, she made small but accurate change to our PIO shots - the time we were doing them - and it worked perfectly!

Dr. Schenk thoroughly explained and made sure we understood why eSET was the best option.

Very pleasant doctor, but did not see her for each visit. Can tell she is very busy and has lots of patients. Delegates the egg monitoring and medication administering to other staff. I did feel "heard" and she made a point to be proactive with my preferences.

Even monitored/assisted cycles can end in a Negative pregnancy test. We might not be able to control everything, but we sure can control a LOT!

This was my first IUI attempt, so we started with a basic Clomid 100mg regiment cycle days 3-7, then switched to Follistim injection (originally 125iu then dropped dose to 100iu due to responding VERY well) for cycle days 8-12, Ovidrel trigger on cycle day 12. Did not undergo IUI due to too many follicles. Were advised to try unassisted.

My insurance did not pay anything except the blood work. They were understanding of having to pay out-of-pocket, but it was still very expensive.

Did not get this far.

Dr. Schenk was both compassionate and candid throughout the whole process and would give us frank estimations of our chances with each cycle.

Make sure to ask questions. She doesn't mind answering them like some doctors, but you do have to ask.

When we first began I was diagnosed with PCOS and she was sure it would be fairly easy to treat. We began with Femara IUIs and did two of those with no success before the protocol was changed. I was closely monitored each month via ultrasound to check for follicle development and uterine lining. For the next two IUIs we did both Femara and Follistim before the IUI with additional blood work monitoring and got pregnant on the fourth. Unfortunately, we lost the pregnancy at 9 weeks but Dr. Schenk was very compassionate and gave us our options with both pros and cons for each treatment of how to proceed with the miscarriage. We opted for a D/C and she performed the operation herself instead of sending me off to a strange doctor. After a two cycle healing process to rebuild the uterine lining we began again with Femara and Follistim IUIs since they worked before with the same monitoring as before. We completed two more with no success so we decided that we would do one more IUI before moving on to IVF the following year. We talked with Dr. Schenk and decided to do a Follistim only protocol for the IUI to see how I reacted to the medication that way we would have some information going into IVF if this IUI didn't work. Luckily, the last IUI worked and we did not have to move on to IVF.

As we were only doing IUI procedures they were covered under my insurance.

Dr. Schenk is a very knowledgeable doctor who is kind and patient at the same time. She supposed to do my egg retrieval as well but because of Covid-19 pandemic all doctors got different working schedule and she was not on schedule that week.

If you have a busy personal schedule try to be her first appointment. Come in for your appointment in time and when you check-in let the nurse know at what time do you have to leave. Dr. Schenk will respect your schedule and work for your convenience.

When I was receiving hormonal therapy Dr. Schenk was doing an ultrasound and blood work on my every visit. Then she adjusted medications I was receiving accordingly with its results.

Dr. Schenk supports the idea of a single embryo transfer at least in my situation since I have a type 1 diabetes.

Dr. Schenk listened to how i wanted to be treated as a patient. She was very gentle with my body throughout all the procedures. I cant be more thankful for the bedside manner she displayed. I have referred others to her because of this.

Tell her from the beginning exactly how you want to be treated. Let her know that you dont want to focus on negative statistics and to always be honest, but caring at the same time.

Thorough hormone testing, counseling on procedures, egg retrieval, embryo freezing, pgs testing, explaining embryo quality, letting us cboose embryo, transfer.

Dr. Schenl let us choose the embryo and explained AB,BB, etc so we could make the decision.

She is a Great listener and Gives great feedback. She is genuinely concerned about you and your cycles. She has great bedside manner. Overall great experience so far. She explains everything in great detail and makes sure you are involved in every step of the way and makes sure you understand everything that is happening.

Be patient while at her office. The visit is worth the wait in the waiting room.

She first started me on metformin for PCOS until we could check my husbands sperm and if everyone came back ok we would start Clomid. I am currently on my first round of Clomid with Dr Schenk.

I have paid for my initial visit and labs. I have also paid for my husbands labs and my first ultrasound.

She thinks before she reacts. She calmly lays out options. She takes her time with patients. I never felt rushed and always had the answers I needed. She also is sympathetic towards the financial pain and stress this causes. She did not nickel and dime us for everything. I always trusted her. She greatly considered all options before suggesting a course of treatment. We always felt safe with her. I have recommended her to others and they have been happy. I would use her again if I needed to do IVF.

Trust her. She has a more reserved demeanor than others but she is fantastic.
