After almost 2 years of TTC at other clinics, many failed iuis and no answers we were referred to Kofinas via a personal recommendation. Upon my initial consultation, I knew right away they were the perfect fit for my specific needs. Dr. Narine was compassionate, and answered all my questions in a way where I actually understood what was going on and what needed to be done in order to move forward with IVF. She never made me feel like achieving pregnancy was impossible, while other doctors wrote me off or never took the time to figure out what my fertility issues were. I had an extensive endo surgery done by Dr. Narine + Dr. George Kofinas at their surgical center in NYC, and while there was initial nervousness for the surgery I felt confident and knew I was in the best care possible. Both doctors took their time, ensured whatever needed to be done was done, and the surgery was deemed successful. Every staff member at the surgical center was kind, warm, and comforting before and after the surgery. The staff checked in on me often after the surgery, and ensured I had whatever I needed for a swift recovery. While surgery itself is not pleasant, this particular experience was not an unpleasant experience and I know it's because of both Dr. Narine + Dr. Kofinas and the whole staff at the surgical center. I returned to Kofinas in Roslyn once I was cleared to start IVF, and from start to finish there's nothing I would have changed about our experience. I was lucky to work again with both Dr. Narine + Dr. George Kofinas in my IVF cycle. I saw a doctor at every appointment, which I never had at prior clinics. Every visit I was informed of next steps, my meds, and whatever changes needed to take place. While some may complain about the extensive tests Kofinas does, I welcomed them as I knew the Doctors were doing everything to ensure a successful IVF round. Every visit I was not only welcomed by either Dr. Narine or Dr. Kofinas but the amazing staff at Roslyn! All the nurses and front desk staff really make sure you feel welcome and looked after. I quickly fell into my routine with them, and looked forward to every visit - They all restored my faith in fertility clinics! Without Kofinas' expertise, and tailored protocols I do not believe I would have had success elsewhere... especially on my first IVF round! It's bittersweet to say I've graduated Kofinas fertility, as the whole clinic really became a big part of our journey... they say it takes a village, and we count our blessings to have had Kofinas be our village the past year! We look forward to going back for baby #2 and cannot recommend them enough to anyone struggling with infertility.

Don’t get wrapped up in numbers and specifics, stay off google, and trust the process - Dr. Narine and Dr. (George) Kofinas know what they are doing and the less you stress the better your outcome will be. While it’s easier said than done, you have to trust your medical team!

I had an extensive surgery to remove endo and various other things going on internally. After I was healed and cleared from surgery, I returned to Kofinas for IVF - I did one full round of IVF with stims and a tailored protocol to my specific needs based upon extensive bloodwork.

I never once felt I couldn’t mention my wife, or felt uncomfortable when my wife came to appointments. The whole Kofinas practice welcomed us and everyone always remembered my wife’s name - especially Dr. Narine! Prior practices always made me feel out of place or not welcome when talking about my wife and our fertility needs

Insurance covered most of our IVF cycle - we did have to pay for genetics testing and a facility fee. Additionally some required meds were not covered.

Dr Narine is a straight shooter. She always gives an honest clinical assessment of what to expect. She understands the ups and downs of the process and works hard to get you the best results. She understood the urgency of treatment for me and lit a fire under me to begin right away. Because of Dr. Narine I did not delay further and began a cycle right away that has now resulted in a pregnancy.

You can trust Dr. Narine. She is not the warmest doctor I have met at Kofinas but the standard of care I received from her was excellent.

The downtown Manhattan office used a monitoring hours system rather than specific appointment times, which were used at the Brooklyn office. I found the Brooklyn office had shorter waits in part due to the scheduling system.

Dr. Narine was very professional with excellent bedside manners. She listens to concerns and takes the time to explain your diagnosis as well as answer questions. Despite my fertility issues being somewhat different than what other women experience, she was very thorough and compassionate to my situation.

Do not wait a second more to get an answer to your fertility issue!

I was fortunate enough that my insurance covered most if not all of the cost of my testing and surgery. Before anything was decided they sat me with a billing consultant that reviewed the cost with me and how much my insurance would cover before any decisions were made.

She has nice bed side manners and seems to care. She does answer questions that we might have by email which is nice. We are still in the process so we don't know if it will work or not yet. We did egg retrieval but it wasn't as many as we have hoped for. Not sure if that is within their control or ours.

I would recommend her as she is nice and knowledgeable.

We only did egg retrieval so far. Everything seems pretty standard with what is needed for that including pre natal supplements, trigger shots etc. Our eggs retrieval count seems to be below average. Not sure if that can be control by them or us.

Monitoring hours are usually early mornings around 7am to noon I think. Unfortunately sometimes there is a bit of a wait time as you can come in anytime but everyone else are coming in during that time too so we can all go to work by 8am

While the clinic is out of network, our insurance did cover a majority of the visits so far. We only have a limited amount of lifetime coverage for fertility which will unfortunately run out soon. some stuff were not covered like genetic testings, medicine, supplements, various other tests.

I think the doctor is hesitant to do more than one embryo at a time since we are not in the older age range.

Dr. Narine is an expert in her field. She is compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. She made me feel at ease and even though we had some bad news along the way she never made me feel like things were hopeless or that we were out of options.

That they are in the very best hands possible.

To start I needed a laparoscopy, after which we did 6 retrievals in a two year span, the last 3 being the successful ones. And have done one successful transfer, which I am currently pregnant from.

Retrievals were around 2k. I don’t remember paying anything else

I trust why she elected to do single on me, I wouldn’t have wanted to risk it being a dangerous pregnancy and losing both embryos.

My experience with Dr Narine is overall good. She always answers my questions, the only thing that I advise please ask questions to make sure you get your answer kind of be your own doctor as well and let her know your concerns

I’ve had 5 medicated cycles, 4 were timed intercourse and one IUI with clomid, trigger shot HCG and progesterone suppositories.

Insurance covers everything IUI related . Being monitored with blood work, ultrasounds, trigger shot, clomid with just copays coinsurance and deductibles.

Very compassionate and knowledgeable. Always took the time to listen and is patient. She at time resorted to the lead doctor to make the final decision...................................................................

My doctor was very concerned about me and tried at all cost to avoid complications. She was adamant about transferring one at a time

Dr. Levica Narine never steered us to believe that pregnancy was impossible for us. We came into the clinic, both my husband and I as a pretty complex case. She is dedicated to her patients and helped us achieve pregnancy.

She is awesome and don't be nervous.

Our first couple of visits she suggested doing 3 rounds of IUI with clomid. We did it and failed to concieve that way. She then suggested we test my husbands sperm which came out to have low motility and count. Dr. Narine suggested that I get a laprospcopy to find out if I have endometriosis and/or tubal issues or both and more. It turned out that I did have a mild case of endometriosis and both of my tubes were blocked. IVF was our next step in the journey. We went through the process, followed Dr. Narine's medicine protocols and she was there for every visit. The first round of IVF I had 7 embryos tested. All 7 were genetically abnormal. I cried so much and Dr. Narine could see I was hurting. She never gave up on my husband and I. My husband changed his diet and quit smoking. His sperm count went from under a million to 50 million in 4 months! We tried another round of IVF and this time Dr. Kofinas did the extraction of my eggs and only 5 were extracted but all 5 became embryos. This time I didn't test the embryos because of what happened last time. Covid hit and my transfer appointment got cancelled. Dr. Kofinas suggested that I not move on to transfer because I was immunocompromised due to thyroid issues and suggested I got through another round of IVF to create more embryos since I only had 5. I was so depressed that my transfer got canceled because of covid and thinking back to when Kofinas said I was, "a poor responder". It was just the writing on the wall that it was true, I was a poor responder and my egg quality is low. A month after the transfer got canceled... BOOM...I got a positive pregnancy test! I'm not religious or anything, but, it was a miracle. I honestly believe what helped was the laproscopy performed by Dr. Narine along with a combination of luck and changes in diet, sleep, who knows really? My first son was concieved spontaneously during the height of COVID. Fast forward 3 years, my husband and I go back to Kofinas Fertility Clinic in 2023 to see no other than Dr. Narine. We consulted with her about my desire to transfer the highest graded embryo from the canceled cycle back in 2020. Because Dr. Narine is fantastic we felt so comfortable and at ease with her care that we had a successful transfer and ultimately a live birth.

Most fertility meds were not covered by insurance. It was around $5,000 and thr embryo transfer was around $3,000. The clinic did call me to send me a $5,000 check paid to me which was nice.

I agreed with Dr. Narine in doing a single embryo transfer.

I cannot give enough praise to the all the doctors , nurses and staff at the Kofinas Fertility Group, especially Dr. Narine, my primary fertility doctor. Little did I know when meeting her back in 2016 that she would be my Godsend. Thanks to her I now have a 2 year old son and a sibling for him on the way! It is because of her knowledge, persistence, guidance and compassion that I have my very own family (something that I never thought was possible for me). Fertility can be a very long and lonely road, but Dr. Narine eases this pain. She is calm, empathetic and patient. She makes herself avaible at all times and thoroughly cares about all of her patients, giving each personalized treatment based on their needs. You never just feel like another fertility case. Please, please, please go see Dr. Narine if you are struggling to conceive. Your future family is only an appointment away.

She is a very patient doctor with great bedside manner and make sure you understand what the procedure is gonna be and how to take all medications that's assigned to you. I love that she is straight forward with you and dont tell you what she wants you to hear or what sounds good.

Ask lots of questions and call her if she is good with returning call.

Dr. Narine is simply the best! She has so much experience and is down to earth. Her communication style is compassionate and direct, with intentions to assist you in meeting your goals. She makes the effort to see you as much as she can during monitoring and always answers emails in a timely fashion. Dr. Narine referred us to Dr. Alex and the combo of both their treatments has made our dreams come true. We are currently pregnant and beyond grateful to Kofinas Fertility!

Dr. Narine recommend mock cycle which I did after 1st failed transfer. After 2nd failed transfer, Dr. Narine recommended that we see Dr. Alex Kofinas who specializes in immunology. With that said, our 3rd transfer under the combo care of Dr. Narine and Dr.Alex was successful!!

Meds were the most money for us. My insurance did not cover any of that. We paid out OON deductible of 7k and most of the treatment was covered through my insurance. We paid 5k for the embryo testing. And any specialized tests that I had to go through I.e mock cycle biopsy nk cell blood test

I wanted to do 1 embryo at a time and Dr. Narine was in support of that.

From my first consultation Dr. Narine told me that we would make sure that I got pregnant and had a healthy baby. She told me the options that I had including IVF and IUI. I opted to try IUI first and she promptly set up my next visits and told me everything to expect. We ran into our first hiccup when my husband and I were told we carried the same genetic disorder. This was sad for us but Dr. marine ensured us that IVF would now be our best option and she was super caring and understanding through this unfortunate news. I did 2 egg retrials with Dr.Narine since our first one we didn't get the results we were hoping for. The second retrieval went very well and we ended up with a lot of genetically normal, and now frozen embryos. For my transfer Dr. Narine was there every step of the way. From all my visits leading up the transfer, I felt like she was very hands on. She would adjust my medication accordingly and always check in on my to make sure I was okay mentally. We are so fortunate that all these steps with Dr. Narine let to my first transfer being a success. I am now through my first trimester and can not wait to have our baby. I will with out a doubt be going back to Dr. Narine when we decide to have another baby!

To listen to everything she says. She really does know what she's talking about.

Monitoring appointments were generally easy, if you went on certain days. Some days where other offices were closed then it could be 1-2 hours to be seen which is really difficult when you have work to get to.

Dr. Narine told me because there were no fertility issues and I was young and healthy, that we should only transfer 1 embryo. She was right because they first transfer took!

It really felt like Dr. Narine truly understood how difficult this experience was and she gave us realistic hope for our options. She expressed compassion and care in a way in which felt genuine and like we (and our journey) really mattered to her. I would 100% recommend Dr. Narine. She's the perfect balance of compassion with direct realism which is so important when you're going through the rollercoaster that is infertility. She also responds to emails! Which makes such a difference in a clinician.

If you don't feel an immediate connection with her that's okay. Just give it a moment and trust in the process. Don't be afraid to ask her to repeat things or to reach out to her in between sessions. She's definitely receptive to that.

I felt like I was in good care as Dr. Narine was ready to answer questions I had about any procedures and was assuring. In my experience, she may not be the warmest doctor I've met at Kofinas but she would ask how I was doing and had a positive attitude during our consultations and check-ups. She did everything possible to ensure every procedure would be successful and was present during the embryo transfer even though she wasn't the doctor who was carrying out the procedure.

Ask questions if you are not sure about anything and follow her instructions and guidance.

In my experience at the Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan office, the staff were courteous, friendly, and professional. Some mornings were busier than others. Usually, the earlier you are there the better.

Dr. Narine was warm and caring. We had a great frank discussion at the beginning of my treatment where we outlined goals and expectations. Every visit was fairly quick and easy. Dr. Narine answered any questions I had at each visit. Dr. Narine called to check on me during and after my treatments at her practice. I would strongly recommend Dr. Narine if a friend asked for a reference for an infertility doctor.

We measured my hormone levels and monitored my ovaries via ultrasound every other day during my retrieval process, and adjusted medications accordingly. Once pregnant, we also monitored my hormone levels and embryo/fetus via ultrasound and adjusted my medications accordingly. Once the first trimester was completed, Dr. Narine referred me to a great high risk doctor who also monitors my pregnancy with great care and precision.
