How was your experience with Marc Gualtieri at IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic)?
I’ve interacted with Dr. G every time I have gone in for an appointment or procedure outside of doing today a different office for a specific procedure. He is up to date on any progresses and never has to ask me what step we are in. He communicates clearly and answers all questions patiently. I never walk away wondering about additional details. He just seems like an extremely normal guy and makes you feel at ease in an new and scary situation.

Describe the protocols Marc Gualtieri used in your cycles at IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic) and their degree of success.
We have done diagnostic testing at this point and are about to start IVF treatments. He was on top of any updates and spent a lot of time with me on a phone consultation since this COVID situation. He explained the IVF with ICSI process clearly and didn’t leave room for any confusion. He did find uterine polyps and explained what causes them, etc. he updated my husband after the removal and again left no room for confusion.
I did have to do an SIS test and at first my uterus was not holding the saline. He had to perform the test 3 times and explained every time as to why something was not working and apologized for any discomfort he was putting me through. He is thorough and patient. He was able to remove the polyps and now we are awaiting IVF!
Describe your experience with your nurse at IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic). (Assigned nurse: There is the nurse coordinator at the PSL office who I really enjoy. I am unable to remember her name. The other ones that I have spoken to at Margate when scheduling my outpatient surgery was not pleasant and was not a fan of her. I cannot remember her name, but I felt she was impatient and rude to me when I was asking clarifying questions. The PSL nurse coordinator though was very kind. )
The women performing all radiological testing are comforting and make it less awkward and uncomfortable. The phlebotomists are friendly and get their job done efficiently and effectively. The PSL nurse coordinator is kind and is quick to pick up the phone when they transfer you to her. She is clear with her directions as well.
Describe your experience with IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic).
The insurance/financial office is helpful when you have a question. I don’t like that you can’t access your account or expenses online in the patient portal. It would be nice to see what you have completed and the costs based on your insurance. I will say that despite the fact that I mailed in my new insurance card I had to actually call to remind them to bill my insurance. I believe this is due to the fact that it’s based out of South Florida. It seems to be more of a number system down there. The front desk staff at PSL is wonderful and so gracious and kind.
When I was getting my surgery to remove the polyps I dealt with Dr. G’s surgery team in South Florida and she scheduled my surgery without even calling me to see if I was available. I was thankfully already off that day, but they had scheduled it for less than 2 weeks out without even consulting me first. That was really strange to me.

As I mentioned before, they didn’t tell me I was scheduled for surgery in less than two weeks. Thankfully I was available and had seen the item on my patient portal calendar otherwise I would not have known until they called me. I found it odd that they wouldn’t call and at least say that it was scheduled for that day and I had to find out on my own. This was not for the PSL office though.
[Dr. Marc Gualtieri] He's very straightforward, but easy to understand. He takes the time to look at your test results and walk you through them...We have unexplained infertility with possible male factor (low morphology). The plan right now is to do a medicated IUI cycle to try and optimize the process prior to moving on to more invasive methods...
[nurse of IVF Florida] They are extremely quick to respond to any questions or comments on the portal and are incredibly invested in their patients...The clinic is great with communication and is extremely convenient with having labs in house...The front desk is always on top of scheduling and reminders. It makes a challenging process just a little bit easier which is extremely appreciated.

Marc [Dr. Marc Gualtieri] is friendly, professional, direct, makes the medical jargon relatable, and is honest about the success rate for you as the patient vs. the clinic's average or national average based on age. I did not feel age discriminated either, I was 43 almost 44 and he made me feel like thats ok no big deal we help women all the time have babies at all ages...Single is preferred, but they will do multiple but it has risks so they prefer to do singles.
High volume, and thus high output and percentages. The Margate [IVF Florida] clinic and surgery facility is top notch and very Zen. The staff is sometimes a little on edge but I think that is due to the volume of patients. The RE doctors, surgery RNs, & anesthesia staff are great...They have a nice portal that is great for getting your lab results and communication wise. Also since our IVF was not covered by Insurance (neither my company or my husband's offers IVF benefits) so it was an out of pocket expense but the Finance department made the process smooth by referral to loan options for financing but this did not cover the meds which were an additional $3k out of pocket.

IVF Florida has several locations, so it is convienient to find a location near you to do the ultra sounds & bloodwork in the IVF process. I went to the Wellington office it is closest to where we live. The Margate office is the HQ for egg retrieval and the Jupiter & Margate offices are open on the weekends. They were always pretty busy & their patient volume is much higher, thus their CDC rating higher. I chose IVF FL based on our location and the CDC success rates for women 40-45, using their own egg(s) & donor eggs, resulting in live birth. Their data was proof that they can yield results, which is what I was seeking after having 2 failed IUI cycles (total of 4 IUIs) . Then I joined a Facebook group for IVF FL & IVF FL women 40+ and decided on which doctor to consult with based off referrals. You can meet with the doctors in person or thru tele-consult which is nice for working persons. They have a nice portal that is great for getting your lab results and communication wise. Also since our IVF was not covered by Insurance (neither my company or my husband's offers IVF benefits) so it was an out of pocket expense but the Finance department made the process smooth by referral to loan options for financing but this did not cover the meds which were an additional $3k out of pocket.
Describe the protocols Marc Gualtieri used in your cycles at IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic) and their degree of success.
Called office when I started my cycle/period. Then came in on day 2 or 3 of cycle then started protocol. Clomid daily, then menepur shots, then cetrotide shots, then final was the Trigger shot. Blood tests like every other day. Then after trigger shot 48 hours later we did the retrieval 12 eggs were retrieved, 1 too big 3 too small, 8 just right. 7 of the 8 became embryos, 2 became blastocyst. The 2 Blasts were day 5 4AA & Day 6 4BB grade. Due to age we did PGT-A testing. Unfortunately both embryos were abnormal - Day 5 4AA was a boy with trismony 10 & 14, the Day 6 4BB was a girl with trisomy 14. As such, we were not able to transfer or start the FET process.
We are discussing now whether to do a 2nd retrieval with my Eggs or pursue the Donor Egg path.

my quote from May 2023 is good thru November 2023. ~$15,500 for IVF treatment, $150 per egg for PGT-A testing, Embryo Cryo - $100/mo. Meds $3000
If we had made it to the FET it would be $4500 + $2-4K for meds.

Dr Gualteieri is very thorough. Very good at listening to your concerns, addressing any uncertainties and having a over all understanding of what the current situation is when it comes to planning for a family. He makes you feel welcome and worthy not just like you are another number. During my experience I have been under the care of him for two surgeries and during both he made me feel very comfortable. His bed side manor is impeccable! He continues to see me and is pushing for us to find out more or at least have as best of an understanding of what is going on for my current situation. I truly believe I will be successful in having a baby while being under his care.
[IVF Florida- Jupiter's] Strengths - very informative from the first visit. Patient portal is very easy to use and understand. Scheduling appointments are easy either by phone or over the phone, the staff is very fast at responding to you in the patient portal. The nurses and medical assistants are friendly and knowledgeable. You are almost always seen on time for your scheduled appointment and if seen late it is never more then 10 mins. I do not have any weaknesses to report at this time. I personally love this office and Dr.

First Miscarriage - I was not under Dr Gualtieri's care and actually got pregnant naturally on my own. I miscarried at 8 weeks naturally. I began care with Dr G when my normal OBGYN would not conduct specific tests on me since I only experienced one loss. I visited Dr G and explained my concerns and request for additional testing. He ordered almost all of the testing I requested and I have been under his care since. We determined in my first set of blood work that I was O- and had become in contact with the D antibodies at some point in my life and my blood was now whats called sensitized. My husbands blood was tested as well and was determined he has O+ blood and we also found out that he is homozygous meaning he has identical alleles on both homologous chromosomes. So what does that mean? Our baby no matter what will have his blood type and be RH+. In turn my body will see those antigens in the baby’s blood and attacks them in utero. If enough of the baby’s blood cells are killed off, the baby can quickly become severely anemic and we could lose him/her.
1st medicated cycle - Clomid. I was prescribed this and took the pills on day 3 - 6 of my cycle followed by timed intercourse. I was monitored at the Dr's office and both my blood and ultrasounds were done. I did not become pregnant this cycle.
2nd medicated cycle - Letrozole. I was prescribed this just as I was with the Clomid they switched me to this since my lining wasn't getting as thick as it needed to be on my first cycle with Clomid. The letrozole was taken on days 3-7 of my cycle and I was not monitored this cycle. I did become pregnant after this round of medications. I went on to miscarry at week 8 again and ended up having a D&C performed by Dr G.
Describe your experience with your nurse at IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic). (Assigned nurse: Lynne)
Overall the medical assistants and Nurse and care coordinators are great. Lynne is my favorite person to work with when it comes to scheduling appointments and surgeries. The medical assistant is also very skilled when it comes to taking my blood. I do not have good veins and it is very hard to find them.

$250.00 outpatient hospital copay for Hysteroscopy surgery and D&C surgery
Describe Marc Gualtieri's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic).
I personally am not going thru an IVF cycle yet but they do have information posted up in the office stressing the importance of transferring one vs two to eliminate any health concerns and problems that can occur.
Dr. Gualtieri took the time to get to know me and give me individualized care...had wonderful bedside manners and he always listened to mine and my husband’s concerns. He would also take the time to call from his personal cell phone if needed to discuss things after office hours...He was always polite and took the time to explain everything in an easy to understand manner. He would take our concerns and financial situation into consideration and adjust the treatment accordingly (i.e. increase the dosage of pills/injectables). He was successful at getting me pregnant in May of 2017 and now I am currently 2 months pregnant again thanks to his medical care.
I went to multiple locations of IVF Florida (Jupiter, Margate, Port St. Lucie, Wellington) and the nurses at each clinic location were knowledgeable and compassionate...It is a large practice but I still felt like the nurses/Dr. Gualtieri took the time to get to know me and give me individualized care. The only weakness is the wait time I would experience sometimes due to a large amount of patience waiting to be seen (this was the case even when I had an exact appointment time and arrived early).

I have PCOS so for my first pregnancy I needed to be on the highest dosage of Metformin to help with my levels. I was on Letrozal/Femara starting with 2.5 mg and only having success with ovulating on 7.5 mg. I also took 75 & 150 iu of GonalF injectables and Ovidrel (“trigger shot”). For my first pregnancy we did an IUI with 7.5 mg of Letrozal and injectables for my second pregnancy we did the same medication but with timed intercourse.

Dr. Gualtieri would also warn us about the chances and risks of multiples but that was never a concern of ours.
He [Dr. Marc Gualtieri] is extremely intelligent, very committed to making sure I understand my particular case & condition, gets back to me in a timely manner & always answers my questions of concern...He always explains everything to me in lamen terms & I always walk out like I get it. I am a bit over weight and he has never made me feel any less deserving of having a baby like my previous doctor. He suggested eating better & integrating exercise just to stay healthy & get my sugar levels under control. He can relate to me and that is impressive!
[The nurses at IVF Florida are] Compassionate. Helpful. Outgoing & always willing to help with additional resources. Gives great hugs & words of encouragement!!...Strengths would be the knowledge & education of assisted reproductive technology of all of the doctors and how there able to take an individualized approach still getting a positive result. I’d like to start by saying I am over the moon happy I found Dr. G. I initially went to him as a second opinion after working previously with a different RE. From the day I made my appointment up until now I’m extremely glad I chose to stay with him. He is extremely intelligent, very committed to making sure I understand my particular case & condition, gets back to me in a timely manner & always answers my questions of concern. That by far is the most important thing to me. Knowing that we’re on the same page and he is willing to do what it takes to help me have a baby.

Well I have not had my actual IUI. I am in progress. So my husband & I were given a work up and consulted regarding results. We both did really well & the few areas of concern like my blood sugar which was also addressed by placing me on metformin. I’ve been on metformin for 4 months. Next phase of treatment includes ovulation induction medications including injectables & ultrasounds to monitor the effectiveness of the OI. Once final ultrasound and blood work is completed ovidrel will be prescribed & I’ll be scheduled for IUI.

Dr. Gualtieri is qualified and knowledgeable in the field of IVF and female reproduction. He even helped me when I had a question about being induced, well after I had "graduated" from IVF to my regular Obstetrician. I feel like he truly cares about his patients, in them achieving their goals of parenthood, and he is willing to listen and allow you to take agency over your own care.... We were diagnosed with unexplained infertility and tried several IUIs for budgetary reasons.
The nursing staff [IVF Florida] was always helpful and willing to answer my questions....The clinic's strengths are its size, allowing it to utilize resources a smaller facility may not have available but this can also be a weakness. There is some inconsistency between the offices and I found my home office of Jupiter to be more amenable to me than the main office in Margate. In Jupiter I was a human, in Margate I was a number.

Make a list of questions before your appointment so you don't forget.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Marc Gualtieri at IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic)?
Dr. Gualtieri is personable and eloquent and always made me feel like I mattered. I never felt like he had to check the chart to see who I was or what I was there for.
Describe the protocols Marc Gualtieri used in your cycles at IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic) and their degree of success.
We were diagnosed with unexplained infertility and tried several IUIs for budgetary reasons. When he finally recommended that we move to IVF, he explained the whole process and what the statistical odds were. My stim cycle was 75 of Menopur and 150 Gonal F in the morning and 75 Menopur with 75 Gonal F in the evening and wasn't changed during the cycle based on my follicular response. I then used Crinone after transfer. Our first cycle was successful.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic).
The nursing staff was always helpful and willing to answer my questions. Lynne was especially helpful with questions regarding how to give the shots and what to expect. She was also very compassionate with the emotional turmoil that occurs during this process.
Describe your experience with IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic).
The clinic's strengths are its size, allowing it to utilize resources a smaller facility may not have available but this can also be a weakness. There is some inconsistency between the offices and I found my home office of Jupiter to be more amenable to me than the main office in Margate. In Jupiter I was a human, in Margate I was a number. I would want a new patient to understand that you'll spend more time with your home office than Margate so if you feel this way too, you should probably still stick with them if you like your home office.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic).
The monitoring appointments were pretty well run. You would start in the initial waiting room, then get called back to a smaller room outside of the ultrasound room, then be called in as the patient ahead of you was finished. I don't remember waiting more than an hour or so to finish a full monitoring appointment. Those appointments were always in the morning which was convenient for me but may cause an issue for others.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Marc Gualtieri at IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic).
I think each IUI was around $1,500.00 and the total cost for the IVF was about $15,000.00.
Describe Marc Gualtieri's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic).
When we first met for our consultation we discussed implanting 2 embryos due to my age (37 at the time) but by the time I had my fresh egg transfer the protocol had changed and only 1 was authorized. We had a discussion prior to the transfer (I was emotional because, you know, hormones) and he allowed us to implant two embryos based on our initial understanding and my acceptance of the risk of multiples. I don't know that he could even do this today due to the protocol change but the fact that he was open to my concerns and listened was most important.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic).
When I started at IVF Florida we discussed a 2 embryo transfer based on my age (37 at the time) but when it came time to do my transfer the facility's protocol had changed to only allow 1 embryo to be transferred in anyone younger than 40. This information wasn't conveyed to me until the morning of the transfer and caused some emotional turmoil. There was also a minor incident where a fee was not adequately explained but it was resolved.
Dr. Gualtieri always made the time to talk to me, answer all my questions, and calm me. He learned about my personality and tried his best to guide me in the process... He became a friend in the process and I trust him implicitly. He understands me as a patient and my needs emotionally. To me, that is first and foremost. Going into our second cycle, we have adjusted the protocol...We waited to see about my trigger so we would know the likelihood of overstim. We ended up using hcg and all went ok. No overstim and recovery was a breeze.
The only weakness I would share is when they [IVF Florida] called to tell me none of my embryos made it to freeze. The nurse should have had a kinder bedside manner...They [nurses] were just wonderful women that showed compassion and were with me on this tough journey. I'm sure there were a few times they wanted to hang up on me, but the patience and care they showed were invaluable...We are paying out of pocket and I feel it is a fair rate.
How was your experience with Marc Gualtieri at IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic)?
Although we did not get the result we wanted, I do not hold that against him. There are certain things we cannot control and that was the biggest lesson I learned from dr g and my first cycle. He became a friend in the process and I trust him implicitly. He understands me as a patient and my needs emotionally. To me, that is first and foremost. Going into our second cycle, we have adjusted the protocol. IVF is an experiment. We never know what will or won't work.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Marc Gualtieri at IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic)?
He loves a prepared patient. You're a team in this infertility war. There's not much advice I would offer.

I believe strongly that the doctor patient relationship in this process is extremely important. Dr. Gualtieri always made the time to talk to me, answer all my questions, and calm me. He learned about my personality and tried his best to guide me in the process.
Describe the protocols Marc Gualtieri used in your cycles at IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic) and their degree of success.
I tested negative on blood and glucose for PCOS. For stim, we used menopur, gonal-f, and ganirelix. We waited to see about my trigger so we would know the likelihood of overstim. We ended up using hcg and all went ok. No overstim and recovery was a breeze. I did however, stim slightly fast and had lots of smaller follicles. Our next protocol will be more aggressive in hopes for more follicles and even growth across the board.

The only weakness I would share is when they called to tell me none of my embryos made it to freeze. The nurse should have had a kinder bedside manner.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Marc Gualtieri at IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic).
It was billed through insurance last time so I cannot speak Fairly to costs. We are paying out of pocket and I feel it is a fair rate.
Describe Marc Gualtieri's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic).
He [Dr. Marc Gualtieri] has a really good bedside manner and understood that we needed to know everything- the science behind what we were doing and why. He was always available to us and took excellent care of us...He 100% will not do multiple embryo transfer. (As far as I was told)...He was candid, but hopeful. He was excellent...Everything was great but the price.
Nothing really went wrong at this [IVF FL- Jupiter] clinic; a few times, a nurse gave me one answer and dr. G gave me another. Overall everyone is smart and competent, you just have to keep track of everything and be in charge yourself...The reason we switched clinics is he was about 1/3 more expensive than another reputable clinic...Be your own advocate and keep track of everything yourself. The nurses sometimes give conflicting answers.
How was your experience with Marc Gualtieri at IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic)?
He was candid, but hopeful. He was excellent. The reason we switched clinics is he was about 1/3 more expensive than another reputable clinic. (He himself said I was comparing apples to apples when I switched, and not downgrading my care).

Describe your experience with IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic).
Everything was great but the price. We live in a really expensive area of a comparatively thinly populated state, and I think you could get great care at lower prices in DC and NY because there’s more competition.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Marc Gualtieri at IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic).
Their costs were approximately 1/3 higher than IVF MD, which (according to my doctor) is the only other reputable clinic here. If we could afford it, I’d go back, just bc it is so much more pleasant to deal with his office.

I felt that he [Dr. Gualtieri] really listened to me and managed my expectations appropriately. I am in the medical field (not anything OB/GYN related) and he talked in a way that I completely understood. He also made sure my husband understood everything as well. He gave me his cell phone number and when I had to contact him I didn’t feel like a burden....
I love the Jupiter office [IVF Florida]. I have only been to the Wellington office a couple of times and had no issues. I hate going to the Margate office (there I felt like I was just a number). Jupiter makes me feel special, I know most of the staff by name and you can just feel that they really care...The office only does single embryo transfers (unless there are special circumstances)...He is very down to earth, very personable and I feel like he really cares

He also made sure my husband understood everything as well. He gave me his cell phone number and when I had to contact him I didn’t feel like a burden. When he evacuated for the hurricane he was still on top of my stim cycle and called me immediately after my ultrasound before I left the office. Unfortunately it was bad news but he broke it to me gently and with compassion.

Describe Marc Gualtieri's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at IVF Florida (US Fertility Network clinic).
The office only does single embryo transfers (unless there are special circumstances). I understand it due to the risks to both mother and baby.
I think he [Dr. Gualtieri] could of done better explaining the process . I had a couple of appointments where I left and I realized later I had more questions than answers. He is very personable but needs to explain more and provide more information...He always knew the facts about the status of progression and what stage I was in. He knew me by sight and name....Staff [IVF Florida] is compassionate but not have highly organized.
[IVF Florida ] I've been to the Margate location, Jupiter location and Wellington location. Margate is the mother ship and I found them very organized. Wellington office is great very organized. Jupiter seems to need help. Paperwork misplaced and lack of communication is a problem....Blood work was missing right before transfer. I was asked to sign a waiver for the genetic test I had taken already. Just things that should not happen. Adds to stress.

[Dr. Marc Gualtieri's protocols were] Timed intercourse, 2 iui’s, IVF...Single embryo transfer...He personalizes care extremely well! He knows his patients by name and knows what is going on without having to look it up. He will even personally call for frequent updates... I felt very cared for and safe under his care. I knew regardless of the outcome, he would make sure I eventually became pregnant - which he made possible! I would recommend him every day of the week
I was very pleased with IVF Florida. I Truly don’t have a negative complaint. The best part of the clinic is Dr G, Amanda in margate, Lynne, Megan, Shannon and Jen! They are amazing and I’ll foreber be grateful for each of them...[the nurses] were amazing, supportive, and extremely friendly! They became friends throughout the process. Jen who did my ultrasounds was amazing!...I was always seen on time and the staff was very efficient on getting me in and out.

Compassionate throughout the entire experience. He [Dr. Marc Gualtieri] hurt when we hurt. He was joyful when we were joyful. Amazingly kind human. Would recommend any family or friend to his care of treatment and would return back myself. Hopefully the opportunity will become available in the near future.
At times I was frustrated with the [IVF Florida] clinic wait times, but that was only because they were giving each patient the time they needed. When I needed extra time myself, they never thought twice and adjusted others. It was actually the sign of a very well run clinic! I appreciate all of the love and support that they showed me throughout… it kept me going!
