I always felt he [Dr. Mark Amols] was very friendly! He showed compassion and was always personable. He was willing to try a different protocol when our first retrieval resulted in zero embryos. He also helpful in suggesting supplements...I had the antagonist protocol for my first cycle. For my second cycle we added in letrozole to the antagonist cycle since we knew I responded well to it...
Both doctors [at New Direction Fertility Centers] are compassionate and friendly...it can take a long time to wait between egg retrieval cycles! The wait list is long and big. The communication is not their strength....I do wish we had an assigned one [nurse] as I feel it would be more personable, however, at the appointments they always were friendly and smiled....

I know a lot of people go to New Directions for Dr. Amols, but I also feel Dr. Derman is very knowledgeable and compassionate.

He was always so friendly and definitely knew me well. I felt he had great bedside manner and was personable.

Strengths: low costs! Both doctors are compassionate and friendly.
Weaknesses: it can take a long time to wait between egg retrieval cycles! The wait list is long and big. The communication is not their strength, however, I feel that it’s also not awful. There are some things they can work on, but it could have been way worse. We always had great communication minus I had my AMH done twice and never received the results from the first one and didn’t know I had it done and wish I was told so I wouldn’t have done the second one and paid for it.

We spent $27,000 for three IUIs and two egg retrieval cycles. The first round we had to embryos done we did not have to do PGS testing, however, we did PGS testing the second round and this is included in the costs.

It really was our decision but he had noted in our consult the less risks if a single transfer vs a multiple embryo transfer.

I had my amh done twice because I never realized I had it done the first time. I also was given conflicting information on when to take my cetrotide during my second cycle (the doctor told me at the appointment to take it when I got home and then on Klara they said the next day).
