[Dr. Michael White] has a "Baby Formula" that details when to take Clomid, when to have intercourse, when to do a progesterone check, and when to take a pregnancy test. He was eternally hopeful, but even after a few failed cycles, he just kept me trying more instead of seeing if there was any other issues at hand...He is the head doctor of the clinic and very busy! He has a comforting manner, but to us who like those who are straight-to-the-point, things were left a little too much up to chance.
The nursing staff is wonderful and compassionate [at SCL Medical Group]. The two main nurses on-call, Lacey and Darlene, manage all of the patients for all of the doctors, so they have been a constant for us as we switched doctors within the clinic... The receptionists are all very kind when you are in the clinic for an appointment and are happy to schedule you a follow up as soon as it's needed. If there's any doubts about timing or procedure, they will always check with nursing and doctors.
How was your experience with Michael White at SCL Medical Group OBGYN?
Dr. White is a very nice man and I think when I was handed off to his caseload, he was overwhelmed. We only met him once, during a consult appointment, and during that time he was very nice, explained all of the procedures and treatments possible, and gave a printed sheet that explained his process for a medicated treatment that he uses with all of his patients. He is the head doctor of the clinic and very busy! He has a comforting manner, but to us who like those who are straight-to-the-point, things were left a little too much up to chance.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Michael White at SCL Medical Group OBGYN?
Know what you want as your treatment plan up front and advocate for it. Be prepared to wait a bit to get an appointment, as he is a very in-demand doctor!

Describe the protocols Michael White used in your cycles at SCL Medical Group OBGYN and their degree of success.
6 clomid cycles, 1 at 50mg, 2 at 100mg, and 3 at 150mg with 21-day progesterone checks each month (why my dosage was increased). All failed cycles.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at SCL Medical Group OBGYN.

Describe your experience with SCL Medical Group OBGYN.
The clinic can be hard to get a hold of at times via phone since they have limited lines. I always just call back in a few minutes to get a receptionist instead of leaving a voicemail because it seems to take longer that way. The receptionists are all very kind when you are in the clinic for an appointment and are happy to schedule you a follow up as soon as it's needed. If there's any doubts about timing or procedure, they will always check with nursing and doctors.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Michael White at SCL Medical Group OBGYN.
My insurance covers labs and visits for a low co-pay, but not fertility drugs.
Describe Michael White's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at SCL Medical Group OBGYN.
