Dr. Behera was very caring and friendly. She really showed that she cared and developed a relationship with my spouse and me...Through the course of my treatment, I only saw the doctor a few times. She built a relationship in those few visits and instilled a lot of confidence...Know that she is very busy and will not be the one performing most of the procedures... Getting an appointment with Dr Behera is very difficult. It can take weeks if not months even as an existing patient. We paid about $600 per IUI not including medication [at Bloom Reproductive Institute]...Most concerns took several calls in order to get a call back. We were concerned with the failure of our IUI's since there was no change in protocol, and still it took us 2 weeks to get on a "waiting list" that was almost 2 months out...but the minute I said we wanted to do IVF I received a call back the same day offering an appointment with Behera the very next day. How was your experience with Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Through the course of my treatment, I only saw the doctor a few times. She built a relationship in those few visits and instilled a lot of confidence. I trusted her 100% and didn't question anything that was suggested even when we were failing. Ultimately though, I think she told us what we needed to hear instead of being straightforward with facts.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Separate the connection you make with Dr. Behera and don't let it cloud your process. Ask lots of questions especially when things are not going positively. Know that she is very busy and will not be the one performing most of the procedures.

I had unexplained infertility after she performed a Myomectomy. We proceeded to do 2 IUIs with climid and 2 with climid and menopur.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
In person, the nursing staff was wonderful. They were compassionate, friendly and built a connection. Their follow through after the fact needs a lot of improvement. They don't always call back when they say they will. It's very hard to get ahold of anyone and it can take several days to get a call back.
Describe your experience with Bloom Reproductive Institute.
I visited the Scottsdale location. It is modern and clean. The staff in person is very friendly and show they care. The wait time is very minimal. When calling you can not reach an actual person, you have to leave a voicemail even to schedule an appointment. It's odd to not ever be able to reach a live person.. It took over a month to get a call back to make my initial appointment. When calling with questions or concerns, it was difficult to get a call back eve though the VM said calls are returned within 1 business day. Most concerns took several calls in order to get a call back. Getting an appointment with Dr Behera is very difficult. It can take weeks if not months even as an existing patient. We were concerned with the failure of our IUI's since there was no change in protocol, and still it took us 2 weeks to get on a "waiting list" that was almost 2 months out...but the minute I said we wanted to do IVF I received a call back the same day offering an appointment with Behera the very next day. The follow through was lacking. i required a lot of leg work to make sure I was getting call backs or getting scheduled.
When we first entered Dr. Behera's office, we had already been on a long road finding out my husband had a zero sperm count after cycles of me taking Clomid under a regular OBGYN. ... She explained sperm banks in detail and gave us information on how to decide who we might be comfortable choosing as a donor. ... I had to take creams, pills, and injectable medications throughout the cycle to get my body ready for the retrieval. I was able to retrieve several eggs, and after PGS, there were 6 healthy embryos! My gestational carrier had to take several medications

How was your experience with Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Millie Behera is the kindest doctor I have ever known to this day. She exudes love and compassion every time we see her, and she is full of hugs. She has a way of sharing information, whether good or bad, that's comforting and supportive. The atmosphere in the building is mirrored after this attitude that she creates. It is apparent that she loves her work and she loves people and wants to do anything in her power to help build families.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
My one piece of advice for a future patient of Millie Behera's would be to not be afraid to be honest with her about the emotional challenges in this journey or to cry around her because she is the most loving human being and will support you through it all!
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
When we first entered Dr. Behera's office, we had already been on a long road finding out my husband had a zero sperm count after cycles of me taking Clomid under a regular OBGYN. We were anxious about getting pregnant and praying simply for some hope that it was possible. Millie listened, validated the emotional struggle we had faced, provided support and answers, and gave us each the warmest hug at the end. We felt refreshed in our journey and ready to pursue our goals! She and her staff were there every step of the way to answer questions and provide emotional support and lots of hugs! We underwent more testing and eventually I underwent three rounds of IUI using a sperm donor, and became pregnant! This pregnancy ended in our daughter passing away after being born prematurely due to an undiagnosed blood clotting disorder I never knew I had. Dr. Behera was extremely supportive when we we told her about this diagnosis, and she encouraged us that there was another option if and when we were ready since I could not carry again - gestational surrogacy. Once we were emotionally ready to take our dreams on again, we met with Dr. Behera who again provided so much love and support in addition to answering our questions and allaying our fears. Dr. Behera and her team worked with us through every single step of gestational surrogacy - from the IVF process to evaluation of surrogates to locating attorneys to the birth. We found a gestational carrier on our own and chose to do everything with their surrogacy coordinator who went above and beyond for us. Each step in the surrogacy journey it's own hurdle to cross and Dr. Behera and her team were with us providing support, encouragement, and answers every step of the way. We now have a beautiful, healthy, almost 2-year-old daughter as a result of the dedication and love they provided to our family for so many years as we tried to build a family. We look forward to adding a sibling to our family by working with Dr. Behera and her team again.
Describe the protocols Millie Behera used in your cycles at Bloom Reproductive Institute and their degree of success.
By the time I came to Dr. Behera's office, we knew that my husband did not have sperm. Therefore, it was decided that the first line of treatment we would try would be IUI with a sperm donor. She explained sperm banks in detail and gave us information on how to decide who we might be comfortable choosing as a donor. She already had established relationships with several reputable sperm banks and was very comfortable relaying her knowledge in this area. During the 3 cycles of IUI, I remember taking Femara for days 3-7 of my cycle, an ovulation injection that was timed with my cycle, and progesterone daily following ovulation until my pregnancy tests. We tried this the first two times with the first donor and chose a different donor the third round, and I became pregnant that round. For the second pregnancy with Dr. Behera's office, I underwent IVF to retrieve eggs. I had to take creams, pills, and injectable medications throughout the cycle to get my body ready for the retrieval. I was able to retrieve several eggs, and after PGS, there were 6 healthy embryos! My gestational carrier had to take several medications, creams, pills and injectables throughout her cycle to get her body ready to support the embryo and to keep it growing until it could grow on it's own without the medication support. We were both given very specific calendars by Dr. Behera and her team to help us to know what to take on which days, and this was invaluable!

Tamara was present for all of our ultrasounds and nursing visits. She always asked how we were doing and how we were coping, acknowledged the challenge in the infertility journey, and provided hugs and emotional support and encouragement to us. We will never forget her role in either of our pregnancies!

They are all positive, supportive, and loving, and seem to love what they do.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
The costs for both IUI and IVF were extremely reasonable compared to other clinics when we price-compared. Dr. Behera also offers a scholarship for one family once a quarter for patients in greatest need.
Describe Millie Behera's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
Our doctor recommended transferring 1-2 embryos given the quality of the embryos and the use of the gestational carrier. We chose to transfer 2. 1 embryo survived, and for that reason, we are thrilled we did not have to undergo another cycle to try with the 2nd embryo! We also would have been happy with twins, had that happened.
Dr. Behera has always greeted me by name and shared deep care and compassion throughout everything i have been through. She takes the time to explain things for me in detail and doesn't hesitate to answer all of my questions...She also takes my personal beliefs and morals into consideration when discussing treatment options and never pushes me to do anything I don't want to or am not comfortable with. I truly feel like she is a partner in my infertility journey.
The clinic has always been absolutely wonderful to work with. When I do have to call for anything, I generally have to leave a message; however, they are quick to respond within the same day or next day...When I have had issues with prescriptions getting filled, the clinic is quick to resolve them and submit what I need in a timely manner. In person, working with them has been easy to schedule follow up appointments, ensure prescriptions are submitted where I need/want them to go, and any additional education and/or follow up is clearly explained.
How was your experience with Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Dr. Behera is incredibly professional and knowledgeable and also caring and compassionate. Whenever I have met with her, she always begins with a check in to see how I am feeling and where my head is at with everything. For any procedures I have had, she takes the time to explain everything beforehand and then walks through what she is doing or going to do as we move forward with the procedure. She is also incredibly patient and answers every question I ask, no matter what it is. She also takes my personal beliefs and morals into consideration when discussing treatment options and never pushes me to do anything I don't want to or am not comfortable with. I truly feel like she is a partner in my infertility journey.

Describe the protocols Millie Behera used in your cycles at Bloom Reproductive Institute and their degree of success.
We started with treatments as natural as we could (medication and timed intercourse) because on paper, my husband and I are still young and healthy, and we have no discernible issues outside my PCOS. Dr. Behera wanted us to begin with natural(ish) treatments to see how I would respond so we could learn and adapt as went moved forward. Any adjustments in my treatment plans were always one step at a time and well explained before I made any decisions on how I wanted to move forward. I did get pregnant on my second cycle (which unfortunately was an early miscarriage), so we knew that we were on the right track. As we continued to progress in treatments, my body slowed down in how it responded to medication, so we did increase my Femara dosage which has remained the same up til now. As we kept getting negative results, Dr. Behera suggested to keep the same treatment, but replace the timed intercourse with IUI to hopefully increase my chances. After a few unsuccessful IUIs, we completed a diagnostic cycle (lab work for my hormones and an SIS) to do more testing and see if anything had changed and to also complete a receptiva biopsy. Everything was clear except the receptiva, which was positive for inflammation and possible endometriosis. Dr. Behera referred me to another doctor at Bloom to discuss those result and treatment options, which led me to an exploratory laparoscopy surgery. After that turned up clear with no signs of endometriosis, Dr. Behera met with me again to discuss options for moving forward, which included continuing IUI with adding on Menopur injections or gentle IVF. I chose to continue IUIs and am currently trying again with adding on the Menopur for this cycle.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Bloom Reproductive Institute. (Assigned nurse: Kelly & Alex)
The staff are all wonderful and remember my name every time I visit. They also take the time to explain things for me and always make sure that I am able to follow along for ultrasounds and answer any questions I have. When I had my early miscarriage, they gave me the time I needed in the room and offered hugs to comfort me. Their kindness and compassion truly makes infertility more bearable.

Describe the costs associated with your care under Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
I am very fortunate to have fertility benefits provided through my employer. I am still responsible for the deductible and coinsurance up to my out-of-pocket maximum. In the beginning, I did not know what to expect for costs or receive a breakdown of what to expect for my treatments, so that was a little difficult to navigate when I received bills. As time went on, I did get what I needed from the clinic and insurance and also figured out what questions to ask. My biggest challenge, however, was getting timely cost breakdowns for my laparoscopy surgery and for a gentle IVF cycle to help me in my decision making when I determined what options to take. If I have known ahead of time before I started a cycle, I may have done things a little differently.
Describe Millie Behera's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
While I am not pursuing IVF, we did discuss options for gentle IVF and Dr. Behera is supportive of transferring 1-2 embryos. Since I am not moving forward with IVF, I don't know more about her approach.
Dr. Behera is such a compassionate doctor who communicates extremely well. She always makes me feel heard, never rushed or a burden, and I appreciate her honest communication...She was not overly aggressive with medications, which I appreciated. She was really involved with every step along the way, and adjusted doses as needed...My care always felt very personalized. My doctor, and the entire team, always remembered details about my personal journey. I was never compared to other cases and always felt heard...
The clinic [Bloom Reproductive Institute] is great when it comes to communication. It is easy to get a hold of someone. I have had some delays in getting bills sent to me, and the portal isn't of much help. But I've found it easier to deal with billing in person or over the phone. The clinic has 2 locations, and it helps make lab appointments much easier and convenient...The entire nursing and coordinator staff are absolutely amazing. You do need to keep up on communication at times, but they are always quick to respond to emails...
How was your experience with Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Dr. Behera is such a compassionate doctor who communicates extremely well. She always makes me feel heard, never rushed or a burden, and I appreciate her honest communication. She has a calm, reassuring demeanor. But is also an amazing cheerleader along your journey. I was a patient of hers for almost a year and a half before I was able to do my first egg retrieval (due to COVID, not any other reason). She was great about still staying in contact during that time frame and I felt so welcomed when I was able to resume my cycle. Both retrievals went better than I expected, and the care I received was amazing.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Have a list of questions that you cam add to as you think of them. That way when you have consult time with her, you can make the most of that time.

My egg retrievals were both medicated cycles. I am a carrier of an x-linked condition, so my case involved PGT-A and PGT-M testing. She was not overly aggressive with medications, which I appreciated. She was really involved with every step along the way, and adjusted doses as needed. We had conversations prior to my first retrieval about using ICSI, and she was really helpful at explaining benefits vs risks. I am currently going through an ERA cycle, and have had a positive experience with this so far.

The entire nursing and coordinator staff are absolutely amazing. You do need to keep up on communication at times, but they are always quick to respond to emails. The overall costs were a bit more than other clinics. But I honestly think they were justified based on the experience and overall value of care.
Describe Millie Behera's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
My doctor strongly prefers to do single embryo transfers, but is not firmly opposed to multiple. She is willing to discuss the risk and benefits, and wants to make sure you can make an informed decision.
[Dr. Behera] always performed my procedures. She talked me through everything. She gave me hugs that would make me tear up... I had all the normal IVF medicines, an HCG trigger shot, vegan diet for the retrieval...I never felt cornered into the choice she wanted or the choice that would make the clinic look the best...I remember asking her if she ever took vacations or extended time off. She said she does but that she always wants to be there for her patients

She always seemed to give me my choices and allowed me to choose. I never felt cornered into the choice she wanted or the choice that would make the clinic look the best. Also, when I had crazy questions (or questions I felt could come off as a bit weird), I always felt heard and she would answer me truth lay with her best recommendations.
Describe the protocols Millie Behera used in your cycles at Bloom Reproductive Institute and their degree of success.
I do not, but I do remember I had all the normal IVF medicines, an HCG trigger shot, vegan diet for the retrieval. For the transfers I had all the normal estrogen and progesterone, a lot of different methods for absorption purposes too. I also had to go on a blood thinner, had a cocktail IV for vitamins and to reduce my killer cell reaction.

She said it was up to us but that we should have no reason to need to increase our success rate
[Dr. Millie Behera] She is not always available because she's such an incredibly busy lady, but any time you have a consult or follow up meeting with her, she is completely well-versed in your specific situation and has such compassion with each and every one of her patients...Dr. B is so kind, really cares, and speaks to you as both a human AND an understanding fellow woman...
[Bloom Reproductive Institute] They are SO desired that they are SO busy. With being busy comes less available appointments which can make it more difficult to maneuver around your own schedule, but it is so incredibly worth it to make it all happen. The entire office works together as a team to make sure that everyone is on the same page, things are documented, and patients are individually given the same amount of personalized care.

Describe the protocols Millie Behera used in your cycles at Bloom Reproductive Institute and their degree of success.
The office does HSG/SIS to make sure that anatomically there aren't any further issues that would waste time and money as well as a sperm analysis for your partner. We started with Femara and timed intercourse, then when that didn't work we went on to use Menopur injections once all my diagnostics were done. We did 2 TI cycles then moved on to try IUI, all with the Femara and Menopur inkections. The injections varied in quantity based on how follicle growth was doing, but they all ended up working and helping ovulation occur. The second IUI we did, we got our daughter!
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
There are two NPs, and Tamara is my absolute favorite. She is like a blonde Dr. B and is so caring and kind! The other staff is great as well and always flexible on top of sharing their kindness.

My husband and I feel very comfortable with Dr. Behera. She was warm and inviting the moment we walked into her office! She listened to our backstory and was able to give some initial advice even before doing any testing. Any test and procedure results have been explain thoroughly and she has had great wisdom on how to keep proceeding with our infertility journey and treatment. My husband and I have tried 3 IUI's and she left it open for us to keep trying them or to move onto the IVF route. We never felt life we had to do one think or the other; she truly has let this be our own journey. Infertility has been an emotional rollercoaster of disappointment and sadness BUT being under Dr. Behera's care (and the entire BLOOM staff) has brought so much joy and comfort to our journey! We are so thankful for her kindness and compassion!

From the moment my husband and I stepped into Bloom's office, we felt valued and cared for. Everyone in the office is so friendly and joyful and really makes the process seem a little bit more calm. Dr. Behera took the time to listen to our story and process and come up with the first steps. My husband and I knew NOTHING about infertility but Dr. Behera explained everything very well. We have never felt pushed to do something either; she has truly left this process in our hands but has guided us along the way.
Describe the protocols Millie Behera used in your cycles at Bloom Reproductive Institute and their degree of success.
Dr. Behera had both my husband and I do some initial testing to better know how to procede with treatment. I did a HSG exam, which is a exam that evaluates the fallopian tubes to make sure the female uterus is ok! I was initially nervous about doing this, as I was told it is a little invasive, BUT it was not bad. It was a fairly quick exam and only a little bit of discomfort. And my husband did several semen analyses. We discovered that I have a "beautiful" uterus but my husband's sperm count was very low. Knowing this, she recommended we start with an IUI. She gave us the choice to use fertility pills (chlomid) and a trigger shot. I was initially nervous about the shot but when I went into to do my first ultrasound, my nurse Tamara, explained it a little more and I decided to go for it! So for 3 IUI's I took 5 days worth of chlomid (the last month was amped up a bit...a decision made by Dr. Behera!) and injected a trigger shot 36 hours prior to the exam/ovulation day. We received 3 negative pregnancy tests. We were aware the percentage of getting pregnant were still lower (15-19%) with IUI but we wanted to give it a shot. After recently meeting with Dr. Behera, we have decided to move into the treatment of IVF. She expressed to my husband and I that we are still young (both 30) and will have a higher success rate using IVF. Since COVID-19 sprouted, we have not been able to do much but we look forward to starting this process as soon as we can!

I LOVED the nursing staff at Bloom. They are SO compassionate, caring, and optimistic. They make me feel like this process is special and valued. They are great at explaining things I know nothing about and answer all my questions.

Bloom Reproductive is an amazing clinic! The front desk team is always so welcoming and friendly. They nursing staff is organized and informative. I rarely have to wait long for an appointment for treatments or testing. The clinic itself always feels clean and stress-free. It is a positive environment!
Describe the costs associated with your care under Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
My insurance, as a teacher, does not cover infertility treatment. However, the initial consult, HSG exam and blood work was mostly covered, about $200 out of pocket. Each IUI (out of pocket) was $1170, this included all ultrasounds, the exam itself and blood work. The prescriptions for each IUI were as follows: chlomid: ~20, progesterone cream ~80, ovidrel (trigger shot) ~100. I have moved to my husband's insurance to start IVF treatment knowing that it will be that much more expensive. We do not yet know all of those details yet.
[Dr. Millie Behera] has the best bedside manner. She always cared for us, and made sure we were comfortable with everything we were doing...Initially with my low AMH we decided to dive right in. We did a round of IVF. We got 4 and after PGS none were good. We jumped into another round, got 1 after PGS testing and implanted. I miscarried at 6 weeks. The third round we added donor eggs with our retrieval. We had one of ours and 1 of the donor after PGS. We implanted and had a successful pregnancy. We did one last round and none of them were good after PGS. We will be implanting a donor embryo after Covid is over.
Tamara [nurse at Bloom Reproductive Institute] was so great. She was always supportive and really cared. Always good at communication...The strength is in their compassion. They truly care. I also loved their openness to me adding Eastern medicine into the mix with a lot of herbs and acupuncture. During my first round the IVF coordinator wasn't the best. They weren't always on top of everything. I talked to the doctor. This last round was such a difference.
How was your experience with Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Everyone on staff was so caring. Even when we decided to do one last round, it had been a while since I had been in and they were all so excited to have me back. I had a tough road and Dr. Behera has the biggest heart and worked us through everything.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Be honest. She is on your side. Tell her what you want. Talk through all the options.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Dr Behera has the best bedside manner. She always cared for us, and made sure we were comfortable with everything we were doing.
Describe the protocols Millie Behera used in your cycles at Bloom Reproductive Institute and their degree of success.
Initially with my low AMH we decided to dive right in.

My first three rounds I had insurance so I paid of bills here and there but mostly the meds. I would say I spent about $10k. The last retrieval they gave me a discount on and I spent about $20k.
Describe Millie Behera's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
My doctor was ok with two, but not more than two due to splitting. We would have implanted two if we had the option, but we just had the one of our own each time so we just implanted one.
She [Dr. Millie Behera] was very nice and easy to talk to. She took our records from 2 other clinics and said I am not going to put you through any more testing, you have had it all done, lets just get you pregnant. She made me feel very at ease and hopeful...She speaks to you at your initial appointment in her office so it is more relaxed environment. She listen to my journey and my frustrations.
The clinic [Bloom Reproductive Institute] was awesome. It is a very professional environment. The atmosphere is comforting and relaxing. I never had to wait very long, they were always running on time. They are very understanding when it comes to the financials and did not pressure me to make an appointment before I left, to go home and really think about what options I was given.

She made me feel very at ease. She speaks to you at your initial appointment in her office so it is more relaxed environment. She listen to my journey and my frustrations. She thoroughly reviewed all of my partners and my records from 2 other fertility clinics. Her response was you have been through enough tests, I am not going to re do the ones that I usually require with new patients, lets just get some blood work to see where your at now and get you pregnant. This was very relieving for me as anyone who has had the HSG test knows it is not the most fun and I had already gone through 2.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
100% recommended her. She is awesome. I had no bad experiences with her. I laid out all my concerns and she answered and shot them all down and gave me hope

The nurse who did my initial intake was very thorough and compassionate. She listened and did not just rush through the intake. The one that did my blood draw was awesome. I have very hard veins and she got them on the first try

I wanted medicated cycles walking through the door [with Dr. Behera]. I was on Clomid initially until it thinned my lining then I went to letrozole. I also used ovidrel to help release all mature eggs. And when I wanted more than one egg to mature we added menopur...I had control over my treatment. She doesn’t want a high risk pregnancy so she would’ve freaked had I had several eggs mature. But I only had 3...She wants what you want and will even listen and answer any questions you have without making you feel like you don’t know or stupid for asking.
Everyone is triggered at 36 hrs before IUI [at Bloom Reproductive Institute], and when I wanted to try a cycle that I triggered at 24 hrs instead no one objected. I had control over my treatment...Strengths are they return your calls, communication is exceptional and empathy is beyond over the top! I don’t have any weakness to report but I guess one would be they are not in a rush to bill you. The bill comes when it comes. I like to pay well before the bill gets here

Everyone wants to see her! Wait fir new patient is long but well worth it. I waited a month to get into her office and would wait three if I had to do it over again. This process takes time, you can’t rush your dreams!

I wasn’t a number I was really treated like a person that they genuinely cared about

Costs for me were great because my insurance was awesome. Ultrasounds were billed at $275 and I would pay $12. Office visit billed at $90 and generally I wouldn’t pay for any of that. Blood draws ranged from $75-95 depending on what they were testing and IUI was fairly cheap for me that I don’t want to post to mislead anyone whose ins didn’t cover like mine

Dr. Behera is absolutely amazing and was always compassionate, caring, and I feel like put my health first. She is very busy, but always took as much time as needed to answer all my questions. She was always there to do my procedures like egg retrieval, and embryo transfers. Very knowledgeable and positive. She always put me at ease when I was stressed and took my concerns seriously....

One that I had sometimes took longer to return phone calls and emails, but the rest were always on top of things and communicated back quickly. They were always compassionate, kind, and knowledgable.

Come with questions and ask questions along the process as they come. Know that her office is busy but she never makes you feel rushed or feel like a number. They make you feel like family. The process can be overwhelming at time so make sure you utilize the nurses, Dr. Behera, and office staff if you have concerns or questions.

For the first three IUI's I did Clomid and they up'd the dose from one pill for five days to two pills for five days. The last IUI I did Femera two pills for five days with booster shots. For my IVF egg retrieval I took the supplements of Aspirin 81 mg, COQ10 200mg, DHEA 75mg, Testostrone Gel 5mg, Foltanx 3/35/2 mg, a prenatal, and birth control to all try and help my eggs be healthy. Then I started Lupron 20 units daily, decreased Lupron to 5 units after about two weeks, then went to Gonal-F 225 units, then Menopur 75IU. As I was being monitored my Gonal-F and Menopur were raised depending on my labs got up to Menopur to 225IU and the Gonal-F at 300 units. Took Cabergoline to help prevent OHSS and for my prolactin levels. Got 16 eggs total, 8 fertilized, 5 made it to Day 5. For my FET's I would take the supplements of asprin 81 mg, COQ10 200mg, Foltanx, prenatal, and start with birth control. Then would go to Lupron 20 units, then decrease to Lupron 5 units. Did Estradiol patch 0.1 mg start with one and would increase to two. Took Estradiol pills morning and night, 2 grams of Estrogen cream at night, Progesterone cream first once a day and then twice a day, Progesterone injections of 1.5ml at night, prednisone 20mg. This produced three pregnancies and one live birth.

My clinic's strengths are their compassion, efficiency, and knowledge. All of the staff always treats you with care and respect. They treat you like family and are understanding of how difficult this process can be. The weaknesses is that they're so busy. Once you're established they're great about getting you in and working with your schedule, they even have two offices, but getting in to see them in the beginning may be a bit of a wait. A well worth wait I might add!

Describe Millie Behera's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
My doctor did talk to me at length about how many embryos to transfer and the risks/success rates. Before my first transfer she said we could do two if we wanted but she recommended one. Although that first time was the only time she suggested two. We transferred one embryo each time.
Dr Behera prefers single transfers but is open to multiple based on the patient. She also prefers frozen to fresh so your body can recover...performed the HCG test herself...is warm and compassionate. She tailors each cycle to the specific circumstances of the patient...took a lot of time in our consultation to explain the process and go over our options, however I felt during the stimulation phase she was inaccessible. I ended up with questions about some of my experiences and could only get answers from the nurse practitioner during the ultrasounds. If I called or emailed after that I was told to wait and ask at my next ultrasound.
I ended up with questions about some of my experiences [at Troche Fertility Center] and could only get answers from the nurse practitioner during the ultrasounds. If I called or emailed after that I was told to wait and ask at my next ultrasound...make sure you ask for what you want from your cycle as far as help with injections and questions about the actual process as they don’t volunteer either of these things...I was on a very high escalating dose due to my bodies poor response (450 of follistim and 225 menopur daily) and I still only got 3 eggs of which only 1 fertilized which was disappointing.

They don’t treat you like a number, you don’t line up in the morning and go one by one but it is more expensive than the clinics that do this. The office is clean and bright and the surgical center is next door which made the egg retrieval less stressful than finding a new location. Also, Dr Behera performed the HCG test herself and they are all very careful to keep the patients as comfortable as possible which is superior to others I have heard about

We did one IUI, 2 back to back egg retrievals (she [Dr. Behera] adjusted my meds for the second one in hopes of getting more eggs). We did PGS testing and had 3 normal embryos. We transferred 2 embryos, and did intrilipids and got one healthy baby girl!...She was ok with putting in 2 embryos because of how she rated them and the fact that we were ok with twins. She assessed our situation based on us, not on a blanket philosophy.
She [nurse at Bloom Reproductive Institute] took time to email me personally about questions I had and always knew my stats and remembered where I was in the process. Very nice, gave helpful answers and information and was compassionate...$13,900 for IVF...$1,500 for IUI...The staff is very compassionate and thorough. The only weakness I see is that Dr. Behera is very busy/hard to get in with and has many patients going through cycles, but even so, we never felt like just a number. The staff that does the blood draws, the testing, and prepares you for the procedure is also very warm, welcoming and calming. Our questions were always answered. IVF is an emotional process and I feel that there is extra care taken at Bloom so handle situations delicately, professionally and with compassion.
How was your experience with Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Dr. Behera was throughout, professional and so kind. I would recommend anyone needing fertility or reproductive health services to her. We conceived a baby girl after 2 back to back egg retrievals (to bank embryos for future babies). She was gentle, calm and had great energy in all of our interactions with her.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Other than be prepared to love her, I would just say to be patient with the process because it sometimes can take longer than you want it to. The best things come to those who wait! (not necessarily to do with Dr. Behera though)
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Dr. Behera is incredibly knowledgeable but also has the best bedside manner. I felt like she really understood me and cared about my outcome. By the time I was done with my treatments, I truly felt that she was a part of the family.

Doctor Behera really know her stuff and she is one of the best in the area. I had a really large intrauterine fibroid and was told that if I wanted to try and have children after it was removed I would need to find a really skilled surgeon who could do the removal without damaging the uterus. And Dr. Behera did a really great job with my surgery. After the fibroid was out of the way I had had time to heal, she didn't expect it to be difficult for us to conceive.
We actually stopped going to see Dr. Behara because of the billing department [at Bloom Reproductive Institute]. We paid up front for our 3rd IUI because it was the last we new we could afford at the time and we settled all our outstanding bills. After the 3rd IUI failed we received a bill stating we needed to pay for the IUI. I emailed the office with our receipt showing that we had paid and was told "oh sorry, it looks like it was duplicated in the system." S

We tried 3 rounds of timed intercourse with clomid/femera and trigger shots. When it wasn't successful we tried 3 rounds of IUI, also without success.
At this point in the treatment, I didn't feel like we were getting any answers -- she just kept saying everything looks good, everything looks fine. But at that point we were ready to try a different doctor and see if we could get some more answers for our unexplained infertility diagnosis.
Doctor Behara also preformed 2 hysteroscopies for me and, again, she did a great job. She really has the best bedside manner -- she fully explains ever procedure, she speaks calmly and reassuringly, and she is so kind. She also did all my sonohysterograms herself.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Be prepared for a long wait. It took 3 months to get a consultation and 3 months before we could schedule a surgery. When we wanted to meet with Dr. Behara it took a while to get on her schedule. Because we didn't want to slow things down, a lot of time we didn't try and meet with her to get our questions answered. So also, be your own advocate. I felt like we did too many procedures without getting any questions answered. There were times during the IUIs why I wondered why we were triggering when the follicle was still really small. Or no one ever could explain to me why I wasn't producing any more than one follicle when the clomid and femara were supposed to trigger more follicles to be produced.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Doctor Behera is so kind and caring. During consultations I felt like she knew me personally, and I knew she had tons of patients so I didn't feel like just a number to her. She also took the time to answer my questions and concerns.
Describe the protocols Millie Behera used in your cycles at Bloom Reproductive Institute and their degree of success.
I wasn't taking careful notes when I was being treated by Dr. Behara. I remember first I had to have the fibroid surgically removed with a 6 month recovery period. I had to have some polyps removed via hysteroscopy.
Then we did 3 rounds of TI with clomid, trigger shots, and progesterone. When we decided to try IUI she switched me to femara hoping it would help me produce more than one follicle--she said I just didn't seem to be responding to the clomid.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
I think Dr. Behara hires nurses that are just like her -- very kind, very compassionate. They explain all the procedures step-by-step even if they know you've done it before -- it's very reassuring.
Describe your experience with Bloom Reproductive Institute.
We actually stopped going to see Dr. Behara because of the billing department. We paid up front for our 3rd IUI because it was the last we new we could afford at the time and we settled all our outstanding bills. After the 3rd IUI failed we received a bill stating we needed to pay for the IUI. I emailed the office with our receipt showing that we had paid and was told "oh sorry, it looks like it was duplicated in the system." So, yes it was cleared up, but there had already been problems with billing and that was the point I couldn't take it any more.
The other problems we had with billing was vast inconsistencies with what we were being charged for. Everything past the surgery we knew insurance wouldn't pay for and even though we talked about being cash patients, they kept trying to run things through insurance. Finally, when that stopped we would get bills that would vary from procedure to procedure. So even though every round of TI or IUI was the same visit-wise, we would be billed for different things at different costs and billing could never give me a comprehensible answer for it. It was so incredibly stressful on top of an already stressful circumstance that we stopped going to Bloom.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
If I remember right, the TI courses would run about $2,000-$3,000. The IUIs were about $5,000-$6,000.
What specific things went wrong at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Failed to call with results
Failed to convey critical information
Describe the specific things that went wrong at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
There was a few times we were told to expect a call with results and had to call in ourselves. Also, to me, billing is critical information and that was such a mess and so poorly communicated!
Dr. Behera was, realistic, but very positive. She also recommended supplements and procedures that were suspected or proven to help that my peers with failed cycles didn't have (huge list of supplements 3 months prior to retrieval, testosterone gel, HSG, hysteroscopy, trial transfer, steroids to suppress immune system, embryo glue, etc.). The only thing she wasn't familiar with was N-Acetyl Cysteine for loss prevention, but she was fine with me taking it. We researched what she recommended. We didn't want to waste time or risk miscarriage and went along with everything that was recommended.
I had to call my coordinator [at Bloom Reproductive Institute] for updates on blood work results if I didn't hear from her...IVF (retrieval) package $10900...The competence of Dr. Behera and NP Tamara are Bloom's main strengths. Not getting a live person when you call or not getting responses quickly are its main weaknesses. I would absolutely recommend Bloom to anyone...staff are very compassionate and considerate.

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Be patient with the staff and advocate for yourself. They're human and it's risky for you to rely on them solely for tracking your timeline and getting feedback on adjustments to protocol. You may have to call and ask questions or ask for updates. Just accept this and breathe.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?

Embryo glue $588
Embryo storage $350-500
Describe Millie Behera's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
She left this up to us and didn't recommend multiples. We knew we didn't want multiples so we went with eSET.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
I had to call my coordinator for updates on blood work results if I didn't hear from her.
My first IVF cycle [with Dr. Millie Bhera] was an antagonist cycle and revealed poor egg quality. Out of 12 eggs only 4 were mature. Only 1 made it to PGS and came back abnormal. I was 42 at the time. Dr Behera increased doses and added HGH the second cycle. Out of 13 eggs, 11 were mature! 3 made it to PGS that time. 2 were abnormal and 1 is a low level mosaic. We are currently on a third cycle similar to the second round and hoping for a normal. We will transfer any normals we might get one at a time followed by any low level mosaics.
Everyone [at Bloom Reproductive Institute] is caring and really partners with the patients. Sometimes it is difficult to reach someone by phone when you are new or before you reach IVF, like during IUIs. Asking a lot of questions and making sure that you’re in the loop is important in the earlier stages... Tamara is so amazing! She is such an awesome provider and shares the same compassionate care Dr Behera has.

IUIs are around $1200 if I recall correctly. IVF packages are around $14,000, which includes labs, ultrasounds, retrieval, ICSI, a lot of options, and transfer. Additional services are available. Meds are separate.
Describe Millie Behera's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
Dr Behera will transfer multiples but with my history, she is opting to transfer 1 normal at a time or 2 mosaics at a time. I have another friend that is younger and she will transfer two normals for her. She really does what is best on a case by case basis.
What specific things went wrong at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Failed to order appropriate test
Describe the specific things that went wrong at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
Dr Behera’s orders were missed, which resulted in a month delay moving forward from IUI to IVF. I’m sure it was an honest mistake. There have been staffing changes since though.
Dr B [Behera] is insanely sweet. I do wish we could see her more often than just retrieval and consult.... Dr B is very genuine and concerned with your progress and mental status (given the difficulty of all this). I had severe OHSS after retrieval and ended up needing to be seen on her days off and she would come in and do whatever was needed.... My retrieval cycle included menopur, follistim, ganirelix and my trigger was Lupron. Lupron was used because I was high risk for OHSS.
Two different nurses [Bloom Repro Inst] provide care, just depending on who is available. I see them for all my ultrasounds. I really love both of them, they’re thorough in explanations and never make me feel rushed or bad for asking questions.... Strengths: wonderful staff. All caring and genuine and remember you. Weakness: they can run late. You don’t get to see Dr B very often.... Bloom does not batch their retrievals and transfers.
How was your experience with Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Dr B is insanely sweet. I do wish we could see her more often than just retrieval and consult. We haven’t yet reached transfer but I do believe she wants the absolute best for each patient.
I have had a lot of setbacks in my time at Bloom, and I now feel that Dr B knows my situation very well and could make plans for my success really knowing who I was.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Understand you won’t get to see her very often.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Dr B is very genuine and concerned with your progress and mental status (given the difficulty of all this). I had severe OHSS after retrieval and ended up needing to be seen on her days off and she would come in and do whatever was needed.
Describe the protocols Millie Behera used in your cycles at Bloom Reproductive Institute and their degree of success.
My retrieval cycle included menopur, follistim, ganirelix and my trigger was Lupron. Lupron was used because I was high risk for OHSS. It did not perform as expected so last minute we added 5000 pregnyl. Egg retrieval was stopped early because eggs weren’t ready. Took the other 5000 pregnyl so had severe OHSS complete with two fluid drains and a hospital stay. Dr B has quite a intricate transfer protocol but I can’t speak to it yet.

General: it’s a great place. I understand that there are less expensive options in the valley but Bloom does not batch their retrievals and transfers. I like that I’m not a number but they base my care on me.
What specific things went wrong at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Failed to consider drug intolerance
Describe the specific things that went wrong at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
My protocol included Lupron as trigger which I understand can fail in 5% if cases. We had a last minute solution of pregnyl but my first retrieval did not work. We salvaged the cycle the next day but I wish we could have approached the trigger differently.
She [Dr. Behera] always had a calming presence that gave me hope. Even though we haven’t been successful, in each cycle we’ve learned something and made strides towards becoming pregnant. She always was upfront with me about her expectations and how the cycle had went and was very proactive about treatment options.... In my latest FET, we did a protocol to treat autoimmune disease and MTHFR mutation.
I think it can be hard to get in touch with someone unless you’re doing an IVF cycle, as you’d then have an IVF coordinator who’s very available. However, everyone at the clinic [Bloom Reproductive Inst] is very competent and caring, and I’ve found that if you really want to talk to someone, you can get their attention.... you see the nurse and staff much more than the doctor.

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
I don’t know that I have advice specifically for a patient of Dr. Behera’s, but I would say not to waste too much time on a given course that’s not effective.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
She always made sure to console me and ensure that I felt comfortable.
Describe the protocols Millie Behera used in your cycles at Bloom Reproductive Institute and their degree of success.
In my latest FET, we did a protocol to treat autoimmune disease and MTHFR mutation. We did many forms of estrogen and progesterone, as well as baby aspirin, lovenox, and lipids infusions.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Bloom Reproductive Institute. (Assigned nurse: Tamara)
Tamara was always very compassionate and really seemed as though she wanted it to work for us. She cheered with our triumphs and mourned our defeats, all while being very competent.

Describe the costs associated with your care under Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
Most of my treatment was covered under insurance, but the out of pocket treatments were expensive. The lipid infusions were weekly at $450.
Describe Millie Behera's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
We did both, and the approach was primarily the same.
Dr. Behera is the most positive Dr and always makes us feel like our dreams of parenthood will come true...When we left our consult, my husband said to me, “This is the first time I feel like we WILL be parents”...Behera will find what makes sense for your body and your treatment. No two patients are given the same plan because she treats us as individuals...She said I have a high reserve, but maybe the eggs aren’t the healthiest. So I’m taking 27 vitamins a day for 2 cycles to see if that helps. The way she explains everything is very helpful. She told us it’s not time to give up yet.
My IVF coordinator [at Bloom Reproductive Institute] was amazing. She was so prompt at calling me with any news. She would also answer my emails within 20 minuets. I was blown away! She gave me her direct line and always answered as soon as I called. She made me feel like family...There are coloring pages in the waiting room and the front desk ladies are so kind. The nurse who did all my follicle checks was amazing. She was always smiling and friendly and explained everything to us 100% The billing staff was amazing, too! We knew exactly what we were expected to pay and when!
How was your experience with Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Infertility sucks. Dr. Behera was always full of so much positivity, especially when we were at our saddest points and had no hope left. When we left our consult, my husband said to me, “This is the first time I feel like we WILL be parents”
She will walk you through it all and give you the hope you have lost along the way
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Things aren’t always perfect, and don’t go as planned, but Behera will find what makes sense for your body and your treatment. No two patients are given the same plan because she treats us as individuals

My husband and I were always greeted by name when we arrived at the office. Dr. Behera is the most positive Dr and always makes us feel like our dreams of parenthood will come true. Her staff is always kind and will explain every step with us. We are never rushed
Describe the protocols Millie Behera used in your cycles at Bloom Reproductive Institute and their degree of success.
I have a very high AMH. I was on low dosage for stims and reacted favorably. We had 17 eggs retrieved! However, only 3 made it to blasts. And after genetic testing, we were left with none. So we had to start at square one. She said I have a high reserve, but maybe the eggs aren’t the healthiest. So I’m taking 27 vitamins a day for 2 cycles to see if that helps. The way she explains everything is very helpful. She told us it’s not time to give up yet.

Describe your experience with Bloom Reproductive Institute.
I honestly have nothing but wonderful things to say about this clinic. The first Reproductive encronoligist we went to was awful and Bloom made us forget about that experience.
Bloom Reproductive is always so bright and sunny inside. There are coloring pages in the waiting room and the front desk ladies are so kind.

Describe the costs associated with your care under Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
Fortunately our insurance has a 10k lifetime max for infertility. Everything was billed to our insurance. For our first cycle, we payed 7k out of pocket, but that was for genetic testing and medications. For our second cycle, we were allowed to get our meds from Europe, so we have only spent 2k so far.
What specific things went wrong at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Provided conflicting information
Describe the specific things that went wrong at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
The only mistake we ever had was with our last IUI. The girl at scheduling was new and she told me the wrong day to trigger. The next morning I called the office (on a Saturday) and everything was corrected. The card the gal had given me was taken by the nurse and she said they will use it for training purposes in the future. So all worked out! I was just being honest that there was one mistake.
Dr. Behera was excellent. I always felt in good hands and that I was getting expert treatment and the most advanced options possible. She was caring and I felt like she was in it with us. I wish we were able to spend more time with her, but I always felt like she was doing the right thing from behind the scenes after our first meeting.
Kim Anderson was fantastic. She is a DNP [at Bloom Reproductive]. The care coordinator and blood drawing staff could use some help. The first coordinator I had was an absolute nightmare, the second was much better. Expect that your blood draws will be from people that just started. Nearly every week there was a new nursing assistant that had just learned to draw blood.... The coordinators and nursing assistants can be a bit challenging, but you have to get through it. Stay on top of your own treatment and don't be afraid to call in and get the answer you need. There is a 24 hour nurse line if you need it.

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Expect that she will be frank, and that more than likely you are going to end up spending a lot of money. I don't think that is specific to Dr. Behera, but to the infertility process in general. That said, I was thankful that she was as directive as she was. My previous Dr. was not that way, I felt like she knew what we should do and was confident. Even though it was going to be costly it felt like the right thing.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Dr. Behera has excellent bedside manner. She was straight forward, but very caring with her answers to our questions and her diagnosis.
Describe the protocols Millie Behera used in your cycles at Bloom Reproductive Institute and their degree of success.
I did two cycles. They includes one up cycle and one down cycle. I took growth hormone in one of the cycles.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
Our coordinator went dark for a few days, and we couldn't get ahold of anyone that day even though we left a message. I think it was a problem with ath specific coordinator, as my second coordinator was much better.
Dr. Behera was warm, inviting, and compassionate. As one who has had children of her own using ART, she understands and empathizes with her patients...She gave us confidence & hope. Dr. Behera is extremely positive. She encouraged our feedback, and it was obvious she listened closely to our concerns.
The biggest weakness at Bloom is related to volume of patients, and availability of nursing staff. Administrative duties do not get treated with as much importance as I would have hoped, likely as a result of increasing patient quantity...The nurses appeared overwhelmed at times. There were a few administrative & communication errors as a result. However, they all treated us with positivity and encouragement.

It's a busy clinic, but the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. There are some days you may feel a little overlooked due to patient volume. However, I was always responded to, even if it required more effort on my end. Continue to ask as many questions as possible, follow up frequently, and you will be well taken care of.

We did 1 FET cycle that ended in early miscarriage. Currently underway with cycle #2. I'm adding acupuncture to this 2nd round, in hopes of increasing our chance of success. Meds: Lupron & PIO injections; Estradiol patches, progesterone & estrogen cream, GCFS wash.

This clinic has had great reviews and great results from other patients. My experience so far has been pleasant, although we haven't yet conceived; we started cycle #2 with optimism. Dr. Behera and her staff are warm, inviting, and encouraging throughout the whole process. That is, by far, their greatest strength.

Round 1: approx. $19,000
What specific things went wrong at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
She [Dr. Behera] recognized my previous issue of OHSS from my first IVF cycle with another doctor and had me start and continue at a lower dosage of medication to prevent it from happening again. She saw I had a high prolactin level, began treating it, but also sent me for an MRI which helped diagnose me with a benign tumor on my pituitary gland. She also had me take CoQ10 and baby aspirin during my IVF cycle and now our current FET cycle, which we had never even heard of as something I should have taken. I was told to eat a lot of protein and drink lot of Gatorade for hydration on top of water. I became pregnant for the first time after TTC for 5 1/2 years. Unfortunately, our baby had a chromosomal anomaly and we lost her at nearly 10 weeks, but even that experience was handled amazingly. I was able to go through it naturally and lay our baby to rest at home.
Their technologies [Bloom Reproductive Institute] are advanced. They participate in clinical studies that help make treatments affordable. Currently, they have acupuncture available in house. They also accept applications for grants to provide treatments at low to no cost for their patients. The clinic is clean, warm and inviting for all...These people [nurses] are the sweetest ever! They all welcome you with a hug and a smile, giving you time and space in the event of a loss. They were and still are our personal cheer section. We love them!...As a teacher, I can't leave during the day, so they worked with me to allow me to head over after work. Wait time was minimal for the most part.
How was your experience with Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Dr. Behera is THE BEST OF THE BEST! She listens to her patients, is caring, compassionate, and passionate about helping her patients become parents. She keeps us informed of everything necessary and is always available to answer our questions. You truly feel like you are part of a family/partner in your care, instead of a patient.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Get your medical records and make an appointment to see her. We wish we would have come to her much sooner.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Millie Behera at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
Dr. Behera listened to all of my concerns. Her treatment prevented a repeat issue of OHSS during our IVF treatment, which had occured with another Dr. during our first ever IVF treatment. They were just as excited as we were when we became pregnant, and were just as upset when we found out our baby had Turner Syndrome, having a 99% chance of miscarriage. When I had bleeding, instead of directing me to a closer Dr., they made time for us to come in and check on our baby. They took ultasounds once a week for 4 weeks. When our baby passed, they were gentle and caring. They were just as devastated as we were. When I was in shock and couldn't believe we had lost her, they let me come in the next day to check...even during the following 2 weeks as I went through my miscarriage naturally. They answered my texts in the middle of the night when I miscarried at home, after midnight, to answer my questions and put me at ease. We had the choice to keep our baby and bury her at home with us. They are extremely encouraging several months later as we are getting ready for our 1st FET with them. The entire staff is warm, welcoming, and truly loving!
Describe the protocols Millie Behera used in your cycles at Bloom Reproductive Institute and their degree of success.
We qualified for a clinical study which helped us afford our IVF cycle at a cost which was substantially less than typical. She recognized my previous issue of OHSS from my first IVF cycle with another doctor and had me start and continue at a lower dosage of medication to prevent it from happening again. She saw I had a high prolactin level, began treating it, but also sent me for an MRI which helped diagnose me with a benign tumor on my pituitary gland. Dr. Behera was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. I never felt confused or out of control...I had Lupron, Gonal, Meonpur. I was on vitamin D supplements and baby aspirin...We had a miscarriage on our first transfer. She didn't give up...we were monitored closely. Adjustments and dosages were explained clearly...After our miscarriage, we decided to be bold and transfer our last 3 embryos.
[nurse of Bloom Reproductive Institute] She was sensitive and listened to all of our concerns. She always answered our questions...We had identical twins and fraternal twins - 4 heartbeats. The identical twins did not make it past week 9. The fraternal twins kept growing and they are thriving now...I think both transfers and all the medications were around $25,000. Including a few procedures for myself and testing for my husband.

I don't remember all the dosages and drugs used exactly. I had Lupron, Gonal, Meonpur. I was on vitamin D supplements and baby aspirin. I do not know the rationale. I trusted the protocol and we were monitored closely. Adjustments and dosages were explained clearly. They gave us a detailed chart and explained clearly what to do and when.

When we discovered the heartbeats were no longer, Tamara handled it well and took care of us. It was hard to reconcile, but we needed to move forward. The staff ensured the health of our boys and we are very happy as a result.

After our miscarriage, we decided to be bold and transfer our last 3 embryos. It worked and we now have twins. We knew that was a possibility and we didn't hesitate.
Dr.Behera was great at explaining our options, listening to what we wanted to accomplish and helping us get there without any pressure. She made us feel like we could do this together. She was honest about the odds and the risks. However, our treatment resulted in triplets and I don't ever recall that being discussed clearly. We did go over the odds being very slim for multiples, I just never thought high order multiples were a real possibility.
The office staff [at Bloom] were great, it was a wait for my first evaluation but then they were very hands on, responding to calls and results fast, the office was very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. They do your blood work, ultasounds, IUI all in the clinic. The billing staff reviewed my benefits and costs right there for us so we could make an informed decision about the plan going forward.

We had the option to do just clomid 10 mg and try and time our sex or do clomid and IUI. Dr. Behera felt since my husband's sperm count was good and nothing was ever found with my fertility issues besides mild endometriosis, I was most likely not ovulating every month. We felt like we had be trying to time sex with ovulation for 2 years and were ready to try IUI and not waste another cycle
Describe your experience with your nurse at Bloom Reproductive Institute. (Assigned nurse: Tamara Evans)
Tamara and the nursing staff were wonderful, very patent with us, explaining and answering questions. During the IUI procedure she was very proficient but also helped make us comfortable and at ease. When we thought we were having twins she took the time to review what would happen next and be supportive of our initial shock.

My visit and ultrasounds were covered by my insurance. We paid $550 for the IUI. And I think like $50 for the clomid from a pharmacy and another $100 for the estrogen cream at an apothacary
Dr. Behera listens, never rushes me, hugs me when I'm sad or upset, tailors my treatment plan to me and genuinely shows she cares about ME. I was crying prior my egg retrieval...Dr. B held my hand and wipes away my tears until I was sedated... I have seen Dr B in person 3x now. Describe the protocols Millie Behera used in your cycles at Bloom Reproductive Institute and their degree of success.
IUI #1 resulted in a missed abortion. There was a heartbeat, but we lost the baby. I was terrfied of miscarrying again. I was given the option of another IUI or IVF. We chose IVF because my AMH was low and I wanted to improve the odds of not miscarrying again, wanted to be able to do PGS testing to ensure no chromosomal abnormalities, and was hoping to freeze embryos gor future pregnancies. IVF round 1 was cancelled because I ovulated prematurly. IVF round 2 I had 8 follicles, 3 eggs were extracted. ICSI was performed. 1 embryo split into 2 but didnt do anything beyond that. The other 2 never fertilized. I do noy blame my providers for any of this. They have been up front with me about success rates, what to expect for my body, and how to proceed.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Bloom Reproductive Institute.
The MA Cheryl at the Gilbert clinic is amazing! She took care of everything I asked for help with. She is very sweet and compassionate. I havr had trouble getting reponses from the IVF Nurses and feel a disconnect from them being at the sattelite clinic instead of the big clinic in Scottsdale. I made the NP aware and she has chosen to do most of the communication with me directly to alleviate the gaps.
