Dr. Aubuchon has such a warm and welcoming way about her. I felt like she cared about us and what was best for us as far as treatment options go...We elected to do reciprocal IVF since my wife’s eggs were not of good quality. We used my eggs instead and transferred the embryo to my wife. Dr. Aubuchon didn’t treat us any differently than any one else. She was just as caring and helpful as she is to everyone else.
She [MCRM Fertility nurse] returns phone calls and messages in a timely manner. She’s very personable and easy to talk to. I never felt like I was asking a stupid question or that I was being a bother...This clinic has it figured out. The front desk staff is awesome, Doctors are awesome, and nurses are awesome. They accommodated us the best they could during a pandemic. There is such a warm feeling when you walk into the office. You feel welcomed
How was your experience with Mira Aubuchon at MCRM Fertility?
When we met Dr. Aubuchon and she diagnosed my wife with endometriosis and poor egg quality we couldn’t have asked for a better Dr. to break the news. She was calm and reassuring. There is a way about her that tells you that she can be trusted and has the best intentions for all of her patients. We elected to do reciprocal IVF using my eggs and my wife being the carrier. We were successful on our first transfer! We still have plenty of embryos from our first egg retrieval that are frozen and ready for our future transfers. Dr. Aubuchon has explained everything each step of the way all while answering my many questions. She’s just the best. We are so blessed to have found her to help us build our family.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Mira Aubuchon at MCRM Fertility?
Listen to her advice and ask lots of questions!

Describe the protocols Mira Aubuchon used in your cycles at MCRM Fertility and their degree of success.
Dr. Aubuchon used Gonal-F, Menopur, and Cetrotide for my egg retrieval. I was on stimulants for about ten days and then had the eggs retrieved. We had a pretty smooth retrieval, thankfully
How competent was Mira Aubuchon at LGBTQ+ care?

We chose the Gold IVF package. This included icsi with nanobead selection and genetic testing on our embryos. We paid $22,600 and this included the anesthesia for retrieval

With Dr. Aubuchon you'll get things explained to you in detail, mentions of clinical experiences she's seen with similar outcomes...She has stated she will only do one embryo as there are ethics boards and clinical guidelines strongly recommending one embryo unless specific criteria are met...Some of our appointments have gone longer because she was thorough to explain and answer our concerns and questions..
The only thing I wish I could change about the clinic [MCRM Fertility] is that they allow people to bring babies/kids with them...I wish they would either have a separate time for those appointments or guidelines for visiting with miracle babies or no kids policy for certain days like other clinics in the area. Some of us infertile people really don't want to be around other people's babies and bellies especially at the fertility clinic...
How was your experience with Mira Aubuchon at MCRM Fertility?
She's quirky and personable, she feels like a wise doctor that is cheering you on while fighting infertility demons with you. haha but in all seriousness, she is like your ally and guide through the complicated process.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Mira Aubuchon at MCRM Fertility?
Come with all your questions written down and ask away. Don't hesitate. You'll wish you found her sooner.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Mira Aubuchon at MCRM Fertility?
With Dr. Aubuchon you'll get things explained to you in detail, mentions of clinical experiences she's seen with similar outcomes, and no guarantees as all doctors say but a pretty good idea of how things might play out, what will happen if not, and what timeline you'll be working with. When you're ready to try something more she'll tell you if that's a good idea or not, and on most things will work with you unless you're not a good candidate for something. If that's the case, she'll tell you why. Some of our appointments have gone longer because she was thorough to explain and answer our concerns and questions.
Describe the protocols Mira Aubuchon used in your cycles at MCRM Fertility and their degree of success.
We did 7 months of medication in hopes we could naturally conceive and decided to start increasing interventions in steps. We have only male factor problems that medication helped. We're at IUI now and if that doesn't work eventually we're ready to try IVF. Every plan is different though!
Describe your experience with your nurse at MCRM Fertility.
We've had three or four people answering our care questions during our treatment so far. One was very good, but just took a few days to reply. She made time for us to ask questions and always made us feel well informed about our results. Another would agree to meet at an appointment or while I was in the office would say they would find me or say they'd call in a specific timeframe -then I would find they were completely booked up with something else and they tend to overcommit- and would hear from them much later or days after planned time. It wasn't that big of a deal in the long run but at first was a little confusing. Care staff is mostly great. Direct care/scans/appointments have always been good with one exception. There was one appointment where plans changed for treatment and I was sent home without a clear idea of what was going on. Dr. Aubuchon wasn't involved in the appointment. I completed half of the appointment (a scan) and was sent to the waiting area. In the moment I was expecting to discuss and begin a treatment cycle during the last half of my appointment, and figured they were waiting for someone to be available for it. Instead of being called back for the rest of my appointment I was told to go home and wait for a call. I had questions for the person telling me to go home (like "What's going on?") but was told to wait for a call. This happened in the waiting room in front of other patients- no HIPAA stuff but kind of uncomfortable. I realized it was probably something with the scan that meant not going forward with the treatment. Later that night someone called and let me know that yes, they had found something on my scan earlier and we would have to wait for that to clear before proceeding with treatment. In hindsight it's not a big deal in the grand scheme of treatment :) sometimes these things come up, but it would have been good to know right then and there why I was being sent home so abruptly or at the very least "the doctor needs to look at something first" or something!
Describe your experience with MCRM Fertility.
The clinic is a fairly well oiled machine. There's been only one or two miscommunications thus far while a patient. Compared to a previous clinic we consulted with, this is so much better. There are some good systems in place to keep everyone moving and connected. Make good use of the portal. Schedulers are amazing. Often they will connect you to someone's voicemail, give you insight into why somethings play out the way they do timing wise ('it's a retrieval week so Dr. so and so is busy til x time today') or why particular staff are easier to get ahold compared to others (so-and-so does transfers more than so-and-so). The only thing I wish I could change about the clinic is that they allow people to bring babies/kids with them. Most appointments we've had there is either someone very pregnant or with a stroller in tow. I wish they would either have a separate time for those appointments or guidelines for visiting with miracle babies or no kids policy for certain days like other clinics in the area. Some of us infertile people really don't want to be around other people's babies and bellies especially at the fertility clinic!
Describe Mira Aubuchon's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at MCRM Fertility.

Dr. Aubuchon treats you more like a friend than a patient. She takes her time and allows for all the questions on may have. She explain everything and makes sure you understand before moving on or forward. She is extremely compassionate with you. Yes she is a Dr. and has a job she is doing but she never makes you feel less than or like a bother. She wants you to feel completely comfortable and ready for what you are doing or are going to do. She is never pushy and she knows that it comes down to money for a lot of things and when you can not afford certain things she does not let that be a road block. She will brain storm and figure out another way to move forward with the information you already have and never makes you feel bad for it. She all around is just such a special person and doctor. I trust her so much with my family.
MCRM has many strengths, from the doctors to all the nursing staff. Every time I go in it is very welcoming and warm. I honestly do not have anything negative that I could speak on when it comes to that. The only weakness I myself have encountered lies in the billing department...I have had a few different coordinators I have worked with along with nurses. Every single person I have worked with has been wonderful. We have had so many ups and down during our journey and when we would receive bad new of any kind the support the staff gave was top notch!

You may be nervous to start this journey. I know it is not an easy one, but with Dr. Aucuchon you are in the best care. Ask all the questions no matter what, nothing is silly to ask.

So far we have spent around 25-30,000
Describe Mira Aubuchon's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at MCRM Fertility.
Our first transfer was a single embryo and our second was a multiple embryo (2). Ultimately she knew I wanted to do 2 but our first transfer was fresh and it would not have been safe to do 2 because of hyperstem. When we moved forward with our second transfer we discussed all the things and she was comfortable doing 1 or 2 so she left it up to us. Had she said again it was not recommended to do 2 we would have defiantly followed her recommendation and only have done 1.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at MCRM Fertility.
I had some labs done last year and no one every called me with my results. It was a very big lab panel that was ran. I has to try about 3 times before I was able to get the results. That is the only issue I can say I have had since working with them.

[Dr. Aubuchon] is very warm hearted and I feel like she truly cares and wants to help my husband and I conceive our baby. My last visit she was explaining the next steps and she looked at me and said, "I can see you're truly hurting and I want to help in any way I can." And that really made an impression on me. I was just sitting there listening, not really showing any emotion, just listening to what she was explaining and it was like she could see right through me almost. Reading my thoughts. She's a great Doctor and I would definitely recommend her to anyone I know struggling with infertility!
In my time of going to MCRM, I have not had one complaint with them.. They are great to work with and are always willing to help. They give suggestions and allow me to choose and they work with my husband and I nicely since we live so far away...They have all tried to work with my husband and I with the best treatment for our financial situation. And they are always getting back with me, answering all my questions through the patient portal...During my initial consultation, since we live 2 hours away from the clinic they were willing to do everything possible during our consultation. So that included the consult, bloodwork, ultrasound and semen analysis. I had previously had a lot of bloodwork, testing, ultrasounds, along with a procedure to see if my tubes were blocked, all done through my Gyno in another state, so it made my consultation with MCRM quicker.

She puts herself in your shoes and truly cares about your specific situation. And she explains everything in great detail. My advice would be to be completely open about everything and always be willing to ask as many questions as you want because they are there to help you. And that's exactly what they do.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Mira Aubuchon at MCRM Fertility?
From day one of starting at MCRM everyone has been very kind, helpful and understanding. They have all tried to work with my husband and I with the best treatment for our financial situation. During my initial consultation, since we live 2 hours away from the clinic they were willing to do everything possible during our consultation. So that included the consult, bloodwork, ultrasound and semen analysis. I had previously had a lot of bloodwork, testing, ultrasounds, along with a procedure to see if my tubes were blocked, all done through my Gyno in another state, so it made my consultation with MCRM quicker. All the results came back "normal" and they wanted to start me on 50 MG of Clomid for three cycles. They diagnosed my husband and I with unexplained infertility. Clomid did not work, I gained water weight from Clomid. Due to financial reasons, we took a long break in treatment. Trying to decide what to do and hopefully conceive naturally while we were taking a break and trying to stress less. However, stressing less is nearly impossible when trying to conceive! I would have normal cycles then randomly go a month or two without one. So one particular month, I was on cycle day 83 and I reached out to Dr Aubuchan. Told her what was going on and she wanted me to come back since it had been a while since our last visit. She done another ultrasound and everything seemed to look okay. She prescribed me 500mg of Metformin. However, I have not continued taking it after I took a couple pills. Reading some things about it, it scared me and I just didn't feel comfortable taking it. I am now tracking my ovulation more closely, eating healthier, drinking more water, staying active and destressing my life as much as possible. I have also just began taking CoQ10 gummies which help with egg quality. I'm doing everything I can to make my body stronger so conceiving will be easier.

Describe the costs associated with your care under Mira Aubuchon at MCRM Fertility.
The first initial consultation I had insurance so some was covered. However, my husband needed to have a sperm analysis with something else "extra" I can't quite remember exactly what it was called, and it was $325. Which that was an unexpected cost but it needed to be done so we really didn't mind. When I came back for a follow up ultrasound, since it had been so long since my last visit,i didn't owe them anything. The visit was completely free. Medication was fairly cheap. Clomid after insurance was around $45 per cycle. Metformin after insurance was $5!

Dr Aubuchon made sure my husband and I understood everything. She at first was hard to get to know but after a few visits she warmed up. She has checked up on me through my cancer treatment journey and has been nothing but compassionate.... I only had 2 embryos. She let me decide 1 vs 2 and was totally on board with my decision to only transfer 1.... Don’t allow the office staff to form your opinion of the physician.
Weakness- the front desk lady [at MCRM] isn’t very nice, the coordinators have too many patients at one time. Strengths the doctors are great and the patient advocate Jen Bader is amazing. The RNs in the procedural area are also very awesome! I liked that they were able to do any anesthesia procedures at the office and they didn’t make me go to a hospital. The office for the most part were always on time for my appointments, I think the longest I had to wait past my appointment was 30 minutes.

Before deciding any medication protocols, Dr. Aubuchon wanted to start with testing and making sure that she had as much information as possible. She didn't want to just follow previous protocols from our previous clinic, she wanted new and updated information so that she could develop an individualized treatment and medication protocol.... She doesn't sugarcoat things and will give you an honest answer on test results, procedures, and what it all means towards your chances of having a baby.
Since they [MCRM] are a smaller clinic and the doctors take time with each person, there is a little bit of waiting, but not much. Be prepared for your doctor to be very thorough with testing and diagnostics. This is a good thing! They want to provide the most comprehensive care and treatment course that works best for you.... Shawnie has been easy to communicate with, through the portal or phone. She has been there to support and comfort when I've needed. She's called when she said she would and has always answered my questions.
How was your experience with Mira Aubuchon at MCRM Fertility?
I am so excited to have Dr. Aubuchon as my doctor! In the short amount of time that we have been there, she has provided us with more answers than we got at our previous clinic after 8 years. She wants to find the answers. Our goal is her goal. She is a very compassionate person. After one procedure, I felt dizzy and hot. She put cool compresses on me (didn't get a nurse to do it!) and didn't leave the room until she was sure that I was feeling better.

During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Mira Aubuchon at MCRM Fertility?
Every time that I have needed to talk to her or have an appointment, I have been able to. She answers my questions, explains things in details, even took notes for me! She was genuinely upset with our loss and asked us multiple times how we were doing. Every visit, she takes time to talk to us about non-medical/fertility related topics and is interested in us as people.

Before deciding any medication protocols, Dr. Aubuchon wanted to start with testing and making sure that she had as much information as possible. She didn't want to just follow previous protocols from our previous clinic, she wanted new and updated information so that she could develop an individualized treatment and medication protocol.
Describe your experience with your nurse at MCRM Fertility. (Assigned nurse: Shawnie)
Shawnie has been easy to communicate with, through the portal or phone. She has been there to support and comfort when I've needed. She's called when she said she would and has always answered my questions.
Describe your experience with MCRM Fertility.
Since they are a smaller clinic and the doctors take time with each person, there is a little bit of waiting, but not much. Be prepared for your doctor to be very thorough with testing and diagnostics. This is a good thing! They want to provide the most comprehensive care and treatment course that works best for you.
Describe Mira Aubuchon's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at MCRM Fertility.
She prefers to transfer one embryo at a time with the reasoning of creating the perfect environment for that one embryo and giving it the best chance without it having to compete for resources.

Doctor Aubuchon, was so personable, and willing to explain everything to us, and answered all of my wife’s MANY questions, and sat with us for as long as was necessary for us to feel comfortable with moving forward.... Since i have reoccurring cysts in my ovaries, i was give clomid to bring on my cycle, and try to flush out the cysts. I was given ovidrel as my tigger shit, for right before my IUI insemination, and i was given progesterone for afterwards.
This place [MCRM] is amazing. You walk in, and you’re almost like a part of the family. They remember who you are, they know what you’re there for, they have water, and coffee, and are always there waiting for you with a smile.... Christina was our coordinator and she was literally the best. I can’t tell you how many times i sent her portal messages with mine, and my wife’s MANY questions, and she was so quick to respond back, and keep us updated with everything. While in the office, she was very motherly towards us both, and wanted to make sure we knew the risks, and rewards of everything that we were wanting to do.
How was your experience with Mira Aubuchon at MCRM Fertility?
Dr. Aubuchon has been nothing short of amazing..she sees SO MANY PEOPLE, daily, weekly, monthly, and every single time, she remembers who we are, my wife’s name, if she doesn’t get to come with me, what we discussed with the last visit, etc. I have had reoccurring cysts in my ovaries, and she goes as far as to even down to remembering the size of it from my last visit.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Mira Aubuchon at MCRM Fertility?
Ask all the questions. She is there to help you with anything and everything. And she is ready with the answers. Don’t think any question you have, is a stupid question.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Mira Aubuchon at MCRM Fertility?
From the first time my wife and i stepped into the clinic, we were greeted like, we were any other couple that happened to be struggling with infertility. Doctor Aubuchon, was so personable, and willing to explain everything to us, and answered all of my wife’s MANY questions, and sat with us for as long as was necessary for us to feel comfortable with moving forward.

Since i have reoccurring cysts in my ovaries, i was give clomid to bring on my cycle, and try to flush out the cysts. I was given ovidrel as my tigger shit, for right before my IUI insemination, and i was given progesterone for afterwards. There was one other medicine, that i don’t recall the name of, but it was to help my follicles grow. The first time that we tried (times intercourse with private donor) the medicine that i was given to grow my follicles grew 8 giant follicles. Both my coordinator and Dr Aubuchon were kinda freaked, and didn’t want us to move forward with our timed intercourse plan, and dr Aubuchon said that she would normally suggest IVF for situations such as this..being that, IVF was out of our price range, and she knew it, she didn’t push the factor, and let us make our own decisions.
Describe your experience with your nurse at MCRM Fertility. (Assigned nurse: Christina Romacker)
Christina was our coordinator and she was literally the best. Describe the costs associated with your care under Mira Aubuchon at MCRM Fertility.
The cost was decent enough..nothing to do with infertility is cheap, but the ladies make sure they understand your budget, and they don’t push you to get the more expensive medication, or go straight into IVF if you can’t afford it. They really work with you

Dr Aubuchon was our second doctor that we saw at MCRM and wish we would have gone to her first....She laid everything out for us and had said that the chances for us with IUI were only about 8%, if we would have known that from the beginning we would have gone straight to IVF instead of ultimately wasting $10,000.... She wrote down everything for us and even made a chart as to what she thought would be our best option in treatment.
It [MCRM] is a beautiful facility and I feel like they communicate between staff fairly well. They host a lot of classes and events to welcome everyone. I love that they have a patient portal that you are able to directly message either the Drs or the fertility coaches. The downside, in my opinion is there phone line. I had better luck using the portal than calling....Christina Romacker is a fabulous fertility coach. She makes you feel like she has your back and you are her primary goal.
How was your experience with Mira Aubuchon at MCRM Fertility?
Like I had explained before, we saw her after doing our 4 failed IUI treatments with Dr Ahlering. Dr Aubuchon did all of my actual IUI procedures though and she was always very kind and would explain everything as she was doing it. We had gone to her for a consultation to move onto IVF because she had been so great. She sat there for as long as we needed to literally go over every aspect of what she thought we should do moving forward. She wrote down anything that we would need to look back on and was never judgmental or made us feel rushed. She is a very thoughtful person and we really appreciated her time. I would recommend her to absolutely anyone that is going through fertility treatments.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Mira Aubuchon at MCRM Fertility?
She can be very technical and will go over every aspect of the procedures. I, personally, loved that about her. I did not feel like I had to many questions since she really had covered everything and had handouts and pictures.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Mira Aubuchon at MCRM Fertility?
Dr Aubuchon was our second doctor that we saw at MCRM and wish we would have gone to her first. Dr Alhering was the first doctor we saw and he did not explain that the chances of IUI success for us would be very low, so after the 4th failed IUI we decided to see Dr Aubuchon because my boss had gone to her. She laid everything out for us and had said that the chances for us with IUI were only about 8%, if we would have known that from the beginning we would have gone straight to IVF instead of ultimately wasting $10,000. Dr Ahlering would start talking about male factors which does not apply to our situation because we are both women. I did not feel like he cared about our direct situation. Dr Aubuchon really cared and took the time to talk about everything and really made us feel comfortable. She wrote down everything for us and even made a chart as to what she thought would be our best option in treatment. Unfortunately, since we had already spent so much money, we now have to wait until we have paid off those bills before even moving on.

Christina Romacker is a fabulous fertility coach. She makes you feel like she has your back and you are her primary goal. She sent me a beautiful letter after our 4th failed IUI, it made me cry that she cared so much about us. It has been a little over a year since we have been in there and she called me to see how we were doing, to let us know that she was thinking about us and that she is rooting for us. She showed us so much compassion that made us feel like we were people, not just patients. She is amazing.

With her we really only had the consult fee, everything else was under Dr Ahlering. Ultrasound, blood work, IUI, medications, etc.

She’s [Dr. Mira Aubuchon] a bit quirky but she sits down and explains everything on a average intelligence level. Being in the medical field people assume I understand what’s going on and that could be anything but! She’s always told us from the get go our goal is to have a child, and she’s willing to do everything possible for my husband to have a biological child. (We have severe MFI)
The nurse [at MCRM] we’ve been working with has been amazing at communicating and walking us through the whole process. The billing area is the only area where I have a good but not great experience. I only say good because they were very attentive but with the price of ivf so expensive they didn’t offer us a payment plan and they didn’t give us any options on how to cover the costs except to ask family

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Mira Aubuchon at MCRM Fertility?
Take her advice! We were initially told that with our sperm count levels there was no way my husband would have a biological child and now Mira is putting my husband on medications and shots to try and get his production up enough for ICSI!
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Mira Aubuchon at MCRM Fertility?
Mira has personally phoned us to let’s us know results of lab work and what our next steps are in the process. She doesn’t push more expensive treatments if she doesn’t feel they’re needed.
Describe the protocols Mira Aubuchon used in your cycles at MCRM Fertility and their degree of success.
We haven’t gone through any procedures at this time besides the initial SA and day 3 US

The clinic is small but quiet and easy to navigate. When we first visited they gave us a tour and all the procedure rooms are on the ground floor while the offices are on the second. It’s comfy and cheery with babies from previous cycles lining the halls!

She [Dr. Aubuchon] did a great job of listening to my history and my concerns. She gave me her undivided attention and was very warm and personable.... She has been very open and thorough in discussing different treatments and potential challenges. She responds very quickly when I have tried to reach out. She has great attention to detail and very warm bedside manner while still being very efficient.... Don't hesitate to ask questions! She's very good about explaining things.
I liked that all procedures are done in the same clinic [MCRM- Chesterfield] and you don't have to go multiple places for labs or other services. I also liked that the doctor was involved in even the more "routine" visits. I liked the location and the environment of the clinic. I also really liked that they ran on time!! I didnt like that there seemed to be a breakdown in communication regarding the financial and insurance areas of the clinic. They failed to mention that some services they were performing would not be covered by insurance.

There was a drop in communication regarding insurance coverage and costs for certain services. This left me with an unexpected very expensive bill. They also ran blood work and I had to call to find out what the results were since they hadn't been posted to my patient portal yet.

Dr. Aubuchon is very thorough when she explains treatment options, expectations, and risks. She doesn't leave anything out. She walked us through every step of our IUI, and when we were confused about what medications to take and when, she was very patient and explained in detail what we needed to do and why.... We don't live close to the clinic so after having some testing completed and needing to speak with her, she set up a time to contact us at home for an over the phone "appointment".
This clinic [MCRM] is a team. They work like a team, behave like a team, and communicate so well with each other. They have a large client base, which is the only weakness, but they are worth the wait. We have waited longer than expected in the waiting room because they have ran behind, but I've seen first hand the care they take with their patients, and how their attention to patients can be a bit of a set back (time wise).

Be patient, the clinic is very busy, but it is so worth it!
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Mira Aubuchon at MCRM Fertility?
Dr. Aubuchon was so patient and kind. She was our second doctor after my Endometriosis diagnosis and several surgeries. We were nervous and scared, but she eased all of that right away.
Describe the protocols Mira Aubuchon used in your cycles at MCRM Fertility and their degree of success.
I don't remember a lot about our IUI cycle. It was kind of a whirlwind experience because it all happened to fast but I did a cycle of injectable medication along with Femera (I think) and a trigger shot. My IUI was very painful because of my Endometriosis and resulted in a negative pregnancy. Which is why we would like to move on to IVF.
Describe your experience with your nurse at MCRM Fertility.
Every nurse in this clinic is wonderful! They are completely invested (emotionally) in your journey. I specifically remember how heartbroken our nurse was when she had to call us to explain that our IUI results were negative.

Dr. Aubuchon is a fantastic doctor and focuses on the science of infertility treatments. She is very easy to talk to and tells you her honest opinion without being shy...We did 1 IUI with Dr. Aubuchon. Her nursing staff completed the IUI and we used a trigger shot 2 days before with letrozole. We did an IVF cycle with birth control, menopur, gonal, and PIO. We transferred a day 6 AA embryo, but it did not implant...[she] only likes to to single embryo transfers.
The clinic [at MCRM Feritlity] offers high quality almost luxury care. It is one of the most expensive in the area but they accept most insurances. They have a lot of availability and are flexible with patient schedules. I do wish they were open until 5pm or open at 7am to help with the work day...you get a separate nurse for every stage of the process. They are all nice, but it is annoying to keep explaining who you are to a new nurse...

Dr. Aubuchon is a fantastic doctor and focuses on the science of infertility treatments. She is very easy to talk to and tells you her honest opinion without being shy. Her practice focuses on the science more than the people, but she tries to help everyone understand the treatments whether they have good outcomes or bad.

Be prepared to learn all about infertility. Ask any and all questions you may have.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Mira Aubuchon at MCRM Fertility?
I felt like a number because we are batched together for cycles and they do not treat patients individually. Everything is on an average cycle and our bodies are compared to the last patient.

Dr Aubuchon is kind and caring. She also recognizes that I’m super analytical and straightforward. She matches my personality when answering questions. She never takes long to also respond when I reach out directly to her through the portal...she doesn’t cancel cycles for poor response. She was honest and said it may take several cycles but as long as I could handle putting my body through it, she would stick with me. Now I’ve got PGT normal embryos after 5 retrievals. She also was honest when a delay was necessary because of a polyp
Nicole [nurse at MCRM Fertility] is amazing and my IUI coordinator when I did that was awesome. When your primary nurse is out for whatever reason that can be frustrating as backups don’t know your particular case nearly as well...The financial services team can be a weakness at times. They once randomly charged me for a procedure I never had. They apologized profusely though and immediately fixed it...
How was your experience with Mira Aubuchon at MCRM Fertility?
She’s wonderful and never gave up on my situation. Most importantly she doesn’t cancel cycles for poor response. She was honest and said it may take several cycles but as long as I could handle putting my body through it, she would stick with me. Now I’ve got PGT normal embryos after 5 retrievals. She also was honest when a delay was necessary because of a polyp. While I was disappointed, she was great at explaining why this approach gave me the best possible shot. Can’t wait to transfer next month!

She [Dr. Mira Aubuchon] took the time to explain things to us and relate them to our situation... She goes over the facts. She is very straight forward. I feel like she gave us all the information we needed. I would have liked paper copies of all the test results. I assume if I asked, she would provide them. We decided on our own to pursue IVF instead of IUI.
The clinic [MCRM] is one of the best/the best in the area. They are good with letting you know what all they offer. Pricing is not as clear cut as I wish. I have to work with their finance dept a LOT.... I have only spoke with Jen through e-mail so far. She is very 'to the point' and short in her answers. She is not rude or mean, just very quick with reply length. She has been great to answer questions.

She [Dr. Mira Aubuchon] was very nice and thorough during our consultation. She explained all of the options, explained what was causing our infertility, and gave us a run down of everything. Outside of that, I only saw her a handful of times. But when I did see her, she was nice...Did two IUIs with Aubuchon. I did Letrozole for 5 days from days 3-7 of my cycle. I went in on CD 11 for follicle check and had to come back in on CD 15 to check again. Triggered with ovedril on CD 17 and had IUI on CD18.
Ceara [nurse at MCRM] was awesome. She would always email me/message me back right away and she was always really compassionate. She did most of my ultrasounds...saw and was in communication more with Ceara than Dr. Aubuchon and she even did one of my IUIs...It’s a beautiful office. All of the front office staff is nice. Pretty easy to call and get ahold of people. They have complimentary coffee and water. It’s a nice atmosphere.

Dr. Aubuchon was gentle in delivering information and when speaking with us. We would have liked a deeper explanation of things such as multiple rates, risk, and research. My husband and I also understand not every patient wants that, so the physician is not always well prepared to answer these questions. When there were times that things did not go as planned, or there were difficulties, Dr. Aubuchon did well about listening to us and our decisions.
The clinic [MCRM] presents in a professional way with a comfortable atmosphere. Having a list of questions prepared prior to the visit was helpful so that Dr. Aubuchon knew what to cover and where we were at in regards to our treatment expectations.... Our coordinator was enthusiastic, positive, and yet empathetic and compassionate. There were a few miscommunications along the way, as there would be anywhere. However, they were always able to be fixed in a timely manner.

She was very knowledgeable, but seemed like she was not interested in discussing any other options with me. When I questioned something, or tried to explain my concerns, I felt like my concerns were not understood or validated.
During diagnosis, I felt like my feelings and fears were not validated, but rather were brushed aside in order to keep going through process.

I met for an initial consultation, and then scheduled for ultrasounds. I was then told that were would immediately be starting cycles for IUI, although I was initially wanting to try a less invasive, as this was our first time.

She [Dr. Mira Aubuchon] assured us that they were going to do everything in their power to help us grow our family. We are in the IVF process and are hopeful for a positive outcome. The staff have been great at communicating with us and that helps to calm the nerves...She was very kind and took the time to explain the process to us...Ask questions until you truly understand what's going on.

Well firstly, I am pregnant from the first cycle from the first transfer [from Dr. Mira Aubuchon]. I felt I received excellent care and was in very capable hands. I only wish I could have stayed on for the remainder of my pregnancy! God willing, we will be back next year for another transfer...Advocate for yourself and be open minded. Understand that she has your best interest in mind and wants to get you your baby, as badly as you want it!
The [MCRM Fertility] front desk and phone staff were always so kind and compassionate. It is sometimes hard to display empathy over the phone or in a 2 second interaction but they always did. I never had a long wait and was always treated with kindness...Both [nurses] were incredibly compassionate caring people and I felt so comforted be under their care. They go above and beyond out of true concern for their patients.

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
Overall she’s great! She’s very smart and had an idea of things that might make things more difficult for us. She [Dr. Aubuchon] was very honest if you asked her a question. Things that I would have like to see different was better explanation of things/expectations especially during the IVF stims. We would see her for our monitoring but she would never give us an idea if things were going as planned or if she had any concerns.
Welcoming clinic [MCRM]. The clinic was always Clean and friendly. They did a good job of making you feel comfortable.... Some miscommunication between physician and nurses but overall they were good.... Doctor was planning on frozen and IVF coordinator (RN) sent fresh transfer meds to the pharmacy for me to pick up. The morning of the retrieval the doctor was planning on a frozen but I was planning on a fresh.

During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Mira Aubuchon at MCRM Fertility?
Personable to me and my husband but the clinic does “batch” cycles so that made us feel less of a human and more of a number
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at MCRM Fertility.
Some miscommunication between physician and nurses but overall they were good.
Describe your experience with MCRM Fertility.
Welcoming clinic. The clinic was always Clean and friendly. They did a good job of making you feel comfortable. They separated the clinic from the embryology lab/procedure area. They gave a good tour of the clinic.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Mira Aubuchon at MCRM Fertility.
Depends on the needs. There were 3 different packages. Because we used donor sperm we were able to use the cheapest package and pay “al a carte” for PGS testing. We also received $1000 discount for our jobs. The package that included a fresh or frozen transfer, ICSI, and embryo glue was $10500 (not including meds) + PGS. Each additional transfer was $3800 (not including meds).
Describe Mira Aubuchon's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at MCRM Fertility.
I was ONLY interested in transferring 1 embryo at a time so there was really no discussion about it.
What specific things went wrong at MCRM Fertility?

Describe the specific things that went wrong at MCRM Fertility.
Miscommunication regarding fresh vs frozen transfer. Doctor was planning on frozen and IVF coordinator (RN) sent fresh transfer meds to the pharmacy for me to pick up. The morning of the retrieval the doctor was planning on a frozen but I was planning on a fresh. Everything worked out but it added more stress to an already stressful day.
